- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied the Bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:14Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:48Speaker 2: All right, an, welcome back in.
- 0:52Speaker 3: OTV here on a Monday morning. Worry we'll find our
- 0:58Speaker 3: way back to the LSU game. Watch some tape where
- 1:01Speaker 3: we're going home. So up where we're going? Uh, well,
- 1:04Speaker 3: figured we'd go talk about the New Orleans Saints since
- 1:08Speaker 3: they whoa, whoa, whoa got a victory, sir against the
- 1:13Speaker 3: Carolina Panthers.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Good. I'm excited. I'm trying to before.
- 1:20Speaker 3: We get there, though, because we had some squirrels here
- 1:22Speaker 3: in the studio. Some Charger Steeler highlights. Great uniform matchup
- 1:27Speaker 3: last night. I was trying to see if I could
- 1:33Speaker 3: find and Lab McConkie just scored, and Moscona bet me
- 1:39Speaker 3: that Lad wouldn't have two thousand career receiving yards career.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And I think Lad right now is right at eighteen
- 1:48Speaker 3: hundred in two years, actually a year.
- 1:51Speaker 2: And a year and a half.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, So I was just seeing how close we were,
- 1:55Speaker 3: so yeah, he's right at eighteen hundred, so two or
- 1:57Speaker 3: more yards and that's gonna win me that bet so
- 2:00Speaker 3: trying to keep trying.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Uh, probably we take over his slot.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Probably, Well I'm working during that time. Yeah, we don't
- 2:09Speaker 2: want it. Yeah, I kind of like you early. Actually,
- 2:14Speaker 2: you know, the berg is worm, the whole deal.
- 2:18Speaker 3: We don't care about that, that's true.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I show gets started like eight or nine, probably that
- 2:25Speaker 2: that's that's the.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I'd like that when I first got when I let's see,
- 2:35Speaker 3: twenty what year we start doing all this, twenty eighteen? Yeah,
- 2:39Speaker 3: yeahs twenty eighteen, right, yeah, sure, that sounds yeah, that
- 2:42Speaker 3: sounds right. Because I worked. I started here in February.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Then I started in series six in March. It was
- 2:47Speaker 3: like boom boom, boom boom that morning show used to
- 2:51Speaker 3: do for Series x M on the SEC channel. He
- 2:54Speaker 3: used to start at sixth Central. There's a big difference
- 2:57Speaker 3: between six and seven. Yeah, it's different. I mean it's
- 3:01Speaker 3: a giant, giant it's only an hour.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But well you started at six in the morning. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 2: it was. It was a sixth It was a six
- 3:09Speaker 2: to nine.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Show because it was like they were based it off
- 3:13Speaker 3: Eastern time zone, right, so it was drift time for
- 3:15Speaker 3: the East Coast, and it's before I could do it
- 3:18Speaker 3: from my house because like COVID changed all that. But
- 3:20Speaker 3: before I used to have to come in here, I'd
- 3:22Speaker 3: go down to Proad one and then I have to
- 3:26Speaker 3: get on comrades and then do the whole deal. So
- 3:28Speaker 3: like I was getting here like at five fifteen to
- 3:30Speaker 3: try to because I had to set it all up myself.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's a big difference.
- 3:34Speaker 5: But that that that National morning show that comes on
- 3:38Speaker 5: what is it? I always read the name.
- 3:40Speaker 2: The only person to know that listens to it, and
- 3:42Speaker 2: I'm not trying to on the drive here the one
- 3:44Speaker 2: before us on Sportsman.
- 3:45Speaker 5: On sport they come on at six am Eastern time.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Yeah, five five items, that's what time our morning shower
- 3:52Speaker 3: eight four. Dusty and Danny they come on at six
- 3:56Speaker 3: and Dusty lives in Oklahoma City, so it's five am
- 3:58Speaker 3: for him.
- 3:59Speaker 5: Rose m only one good reason to wake up that
- 4:04Speaker 5: early is that if you're going, that's if you're growing hunting.
- 4:10Speaker 4: With the un change, I feel like I've been waking
- 4:12Speaker 4: up earlier.
- 4:13Speaker 2: You worked out early sometimes? Yeah, you like work out
- 4:15Speaker 2: of like four thirty.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's how do you get the muscles working
- 4:19Speaker 3: at that time. Self hate, self hate. I was gonna
- 4:23Speaker 3: say self talks, but.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Okay, you's got to really hate yourself.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yep. Yeah. When I was looking at here, it don't
- 4:29Speaker 2: be no punk, right, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:30Speaker 5: When I was in Seattle, Uh, Pete Carroll had brought
- 4:34Speaker 5: David Goggins into talk to our team. And I don't
- 4:36Speaker 5: know if, like I'm sure a lot of us listen,
- 4:38Speaker 5: don't know who David Goggins is. He's I think he's
- 4:42Speaker 5: he was, uh, he's He went through buds so he
- 4:46Speaker 5: was like a navy seal. He was like an army
- 4:48Speaker 5: ranger and like uh, coast guard. Like he passed all
- 4:51Speaker 5: the like the three like most excruciating like tests or whatever.
- 4:55Speaker 5: He does all this crazy ultra marathons, and he gave
- 4:57Speaker 5: us like he was talking to us and super inspiraing
- 5:00Speaker 5: like super incredible person, like incredible mental toughness, physical toughness,
- 5:05Speaker 5: everything can overcome anything. But we were kind of laughing
- 5:09Speaker 5: afterwards because it was like everything he did, he scheduled
- 5:12Speaker 5: his entire life around things he hates because of mental toughness.
- 5:17Speaker 5: What do I wake up early because I don't want
- 5:19Speaker 5: to wake up early. I want to be tough. I
- 5:22Speaker 5: go run one hundred mile marathon because I hate it.
- 5:25Speaker 5: I'm like, all right, well, like what do you do
- 5:27Speaker 5: that you like? Was my thought. It was like we
- 5:31Speaker 5: were kind of like laughing. We weren't making fun. We
- 5:33Speaker 5: were just like adding on. It's like, well, yeah, divorce
- 5:36Speaker 5: my wife because I loved her too much. Mental toughness,
- 5:41Speaker 5: got rid of everything, everything.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I don't know, but it was wild.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Man.
- 5:45Speaker 2: He gave us some wild story.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Like the first like first time he he uh, he
- 5:51Speaker 5: had to qualify for some ultra marathon. I think it
- 5:55Speaker 5: was like in South America or something like that, and
- 5:57Speaker 5: he had to run around a track at a high
- 5:59Speaker 5: school eighty miles had a run and I completely can
- 6:04Speaker 5: you imagine running a circle at a high school?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Okay, like if you're gonna.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Do it, just running down the road or something, Yeah,
- 6:11Speaker 5: in a circle. And I think he said he brought
- 6:13Speaker 5: like two he wasn't prepared. He brought like two or
- 6:15Speaker 5: three like packs of like Ritz crackers. Yeah, like I'll
- 6:19Speaker 5: get you and some water. Yeah the stuff and Ritz
- 6:22Speaker 5: is really good for anyway, he did it the right
- 6:26Speaker 5: he did it, and then he had to go to
- 6:27Speaker 5: the hospital because he had like a torn splane and
- 6:29Speaker 5: he had like tons of broken bones at his feet
- 6:33Speaker 5: and stuff like that.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Sounds like it was worth it.
- 6:35Speaker 7: Shout out to uh, my guy Walker. So Walker is
- 6:39Speaker 7: one of the owners at the gym the block that
- 6:41Speaker 7: I go to, and.
- 6:42Speaker 2: He's like, yes, never heard that.
- 6:46Speaker 7: He is a marathon runner and he did an ultra
- 6:49Speaker 7: marathon this weekend.
- 6:51Speaker 4: He ran one hundred miles.
- 6:54Speaker 8: Ran.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Shout out to Walker, like he killed it. He went
- 6:59Speaker 7: up to Illinois, ran one hundred miles. I think it
- 7:01Speaker 7: took him thirteen hours or something like that. He kept
- 7:04Speaker 7: like an eight minute pace, yeah, or less the entire time.
- 7:07Speaker 5: That's wild like doing that. Like so a lot of
- 7:08Speaker 5: those ultra marathons that they'll they'll run for like twenty
- 7:11Speaker 5: four hours, yeah, because they can't keep that up. And
- 7:13Speaker 5: sometimes it's like through the woods and sometimes it's like
- 7:15Speaker 5: all these different stuff like I don't know, like I
- 7:18Speaker 5: don't know what drives you to do that, What joy
- 7:21Speaker 5: you get from doing that besides like just over like
- 7:24Speaker 5: wanting to overcome obstacles in life. And that's that's awesome,
- 7:29Speaker 5: But it sounds like horrible, horrible death to me.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I did eight miles yesterday, and that's the furthest
- 7:35Speaker 7: I've ever ran.
- 7:36Speaker 2: That's a lot. It's a lot.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see, it's a lot, all right, all right,
- 7:40Speaker 3: So here's what we're gonna do.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Because you saw a squirrel. Yep, David Gogan, squirrel.
- 7:44Speaker 3: We'll finish this and then we'll come back to the Saints.
- 7:46Speaker 3: You got to promise me at eight fifteen, though, we'll
- 7:48Speaker 3: come back to the Saints. I guess, Okay, what is
- 7:52Speaker 3: the hardest thing that you've ever physically had to do?
- 7:55Speaker 3: And I'm not talking about for you, not a game
- 7:58Speaker 3: that I didn't count. I'm talking about a workout, because
- 8:01Speaker 3: we actually might have the same one. I'm not sure
- 8:04Speaker 3: it is eight miles. The hardest you've played is pretty hard.
- 8:07Speaker 7: But like when we used to do Matt drills, Like
- 8:10Speaker 7: I don't know if y'all did them in football, but
- 8:12Speaker 7: like we did Matt drills and softball, and those used
- 8:15Speaker 7: to make me want to throw up all over the place.
- 8:17Speaker 7: So probably Mat drills or any CrossFit that I used
- 8:20Speaker 7: to do.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, Hey, yeah it was this.
- 8:24Speaker 8: We did this CrossFit going into the senior year of football.
- 8:28Speaker 8: But we did it on our track and like you
- 8:30Speaker 8: would have to run stop at a workstation lift. The
- 8:33Speaker 8: whole run wound up being about two two and a
- 8:35Speaker 8: half miles, but like you had a bunch of weights
- 8:38Speaker 8: and stuff in between.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And it was my first time doing it. I remember
- 8:41Speaker 2: it was. It was awful.
- 8:42Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's a great question. I'm trying to think
- 8:45Speaker 5: back on it. So Matt drills in high school were
- 8:48Speaker 5: like legit, legitim terrible. It was one of those things.
- 8:51Speaker 5: But I honestly don't know if it was the hardest thing,
- 8:53Speaker 5: but it was the first thing.
- 8:56Speaker 4: That's probably what it is for me.
- 8:57Speaker 5: I do remember doing it and like not being able
- 9:00Speaker 5: to sleep the night before, not being able to like
- 9:03Speaker 5: I knew what kind of hell was like looking I
- 9:06Speaker 5: was going into and it was like you threw up
- 9:08Speaker 5: every time every day, Like there was trash cans all
- 9:10Speaker 5: over the map.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and then fourth quarter.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Program Nick Saban's fourth quarter program, there was trash cans
- 9:16Speaker 5: all over the field. Right the day we ran thirty
- 9:19Speaker 5: something one ten.
- 9:20Speaker 2: That was that was for me.
- 9:21Speaker 3: The day we ran thirty I remember thirty four to
- 9:24Speaker 3: thirty six. Really think it was thirty four, thirty two
- 9:26Speaker 3: or thirty four. It wasn't thirty six.
- 9:28Speaker 5: It was the day that we started over because Ben
- 9:30Speaker 5: we talked about Benny Brazil's here. It was an Olympian
- 9:32Speaker 5: who wasn't like finished, he wasn't winning every race, and
- 9:35Speaker 5: who got back from the by.
- 9:36Speaker 3: The way, who was coming in under every time, which
- 9:40Speaker 3: was the rule if you come in under time. Benny
- 9:42Speaker 3: was crushing it, but wasn't winning every race, and so
- 9:45Speaker 3: since he was an Olympian, he should have been winning
- 9:48Speaker 3: every race according to coach Saban, and so we started
- 9:51Speaker 3: our entire runover because of that.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Yep, I remember, I remember running and this is probably
- 9:56Speaker 5: late in the twenties of these one tens, and we're
- 9:58Speaker 5: in pretty good shape. I mean we're young, we're we're
- 10:01Speaker 5: in good shape.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'll say easy.
- 10:05Speaker 5: I remember like mid stride because we still have to
- 10:08Speaker 5: beat a time, like we had to beat what sixteen
- 10:10Speaker 5: seventeen seconds. I remember running a stride and like puking
- 10:13Speaker 5: over my shoulder and like not being able to stop
- 10:15Speaker 5: and just having it go. And it was that was
- 10:17Speaker 5: pretty brutal time. I don't know if anything will ever,
- 10:19Speaker 5: like mentally in my brain, be harder than the Matt
- 10:21Speaker 5: drills we did at Robert Lee High School. In Tyler,
- 10:25Speaker 5: Texas with coach Gary Fleet, the offensive line coach, like
- 10:29Speaker 5: stereotypical offensive line coach, yelling loud voice the first time
- 10:34Speaker 5: like in my life, I've been coached with curse words.
- 10:40Speaker 7: I didn't even know girls were allowed to do matt
- 10:42Speaker 7: drills and we were doing oh.
- 10:44Speaker 8: Man, we may have called them something different. What are
- 10:49Speaker 8: matt drills are.
- 10:50Speaker 5: You're on a wrestling matt Yeah, and basically like so,
- 10:53Speaker 5: how we did it was there was a series of
- 10:55Speaker 5: drills you would do.
- 10:56Speaker 2: So you'd have to.
- 10:56Speaker 7: Do like literally flips, like flips, barrel roll uh, like
- 11:01Speaker 7: put your knee down wherever they.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Pointed, belly just like dropping on your chest like you
- 11:06Speaker 5: would do this one. Things were like yeah, kind of
- 11:08Speaker 5: like berbies, but you'd hit your chest. Then you'd have
- 11:10Speaker 5: to like spin and hit your back, so you have
- 11:11Speaker 5: to hit your chest in your back and then get up.
- 11:13Speaker 5: Then you have to jump. Then you like he said,
- 11:15Speaker 5: get out of here, and you have to roll like
- 11:16Speaker 5: I remember one with the bear cross stands like this
- 11:19Speaker 5: way roll.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, and then you had to roll.
- 11:24Speaker 5: Yeah, did you have to roll in the middle of
- 11:25Speaker 5: the mat and then dives with your hand pass or like.
- 11:28Speaker 7: Sprint and if you had to like hit the wall
- 11:31Speaker 7: and say there's something every year like win or team
- 11:33Speaker 7: or something, and if nobody did it, you had to
- 11:35Speaker 7: start all over.
- 11:37Speaker 5: It was yeah, everybody had start over. And I remember
- 11:40Speaker 5: like hitting your chest. I can't for whatever reason, I can't.
- 11:43Speaker 5: It's like a burbie, but you.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Just hit your chest.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah, we did.
- 11:46Speaker 2: We did sixty five of them one time, like in
- 11:48Speaker 2: one wrap. We did it on the field a few times.
- 11:50Speaker 2: We didn't have like matts like oh yeah those matt
- 11:56Speaker 2: saw some stuff.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Man, if you never did madrills, you, I.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Think everybody should have.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Inside the chat here we're getting twenty mile march in
- 12:06Speaker 3: full combat year about two hundred and fifty pounds when
- 12:08Speaker 3: he was in the army, two hundred and fifty extra pounds.
- 12:11Speaker 5: Yeah, I know that that physical fitness test that you
- 12:15Speaker 5: have to do in the military. Now it's it's been
- 12:18Speaker 5: different in the last couple of years. It's a little
- 12:20Speaker 5: bit more crossfitting.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I know.
- 12:21Speaker 5: It's a beast yeah what I don't think it was
- 12:24Speaker 5: for a while, but the last couple of years they
- 12:26Speaker 5: changed it and it's more of like the CrossFit type
- 12:29Speaker 5: of workout.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Crossfits hard too, man.
- 12:31Speaker 3: That's forty miler in Delta Force selection. Oh yeah, any
- 12:36Speaker 3: of these military workouts are beast.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:41Speaker 3: We used to like when when we were in San
- 12:43Speaker 3: diegother there's so many bases right there. We used to
- 12:45Speaker 3: always go every year one two, three practices and we
- 12:48Speaker 3: do it on the base, and they would always pick
- 12:51Speaker 3: out a rookie, like typically an undrafted guy, like a
- 12:54Speaker 3: rookie to do like that day's workout or like whatever
- 12:58Speaker 3: the obstacle course was, and you know, you're you're in
- 13:02Speaker 3: good shape, you're in football shape, whatever it was. They'd
- 13:06Speaker 3: go against either you know, it'd be Navy Army or
- 13:09Speaker 3: the Navy or Marine actually out there and they would
- 13:13Speaker 3: crush the pro athlete. I mean it was oh yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 3: it wouldn't even breathing hard there, rookies like after like
- 13:22Speaker 3: the first part of it.
- 13:24Speaker 5: It's kind of like when the people used to come
- 13:26Speaker 5: into l s U when we were there and do the.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Teachers the yogilatates.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and it was like we were exhausted, yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 5: and we were all like in the middle of summer workouts,
- 13:35Speaker 5: so we're in good shape, yeah, but not it doing
- 13:37Speaker 5: that different shape there, different type of shape.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Staniel.
- 13:41Speaker 5: The chat said, I fully expected Flynn is gonna say
- 13:44Speaker 5: waking up for OTB is the hardest thing he's ever
- 13:46Speaker 5: had to do. Yeah, he's been crushing that though. He's
- 13:49Speaker 5: been like I hadn't heard you.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah, like David, because I hate it. That's why I
- 13:53Speaker 2: do it. Almost kind of a morning person. Now. Haven't
- 13:58Speaker 2: been late he it used to be he was never
- 14:01Speaker 2: on time. Yeah that he's never been late. I'm gonna
- 14:05Speaker 2: show up after six thirty very often.
- 14:07Speaker 3: No, No, I'm saying, like, you're here ready to go
- 14:09Speaker 3: when I come in here, you got your little notes
- 14:11Speaker 3: ready to go.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I'd get here about ten minutes earlier today because it
- 14:13Speaker 5: took me ten minutes to walk up the stairs.
- 14:15Speaker 8: Sure, that was like, I gotta, I gotta. I gotta
- 14:18Speaker 8: plan for extra time, A plan for action time because
- 14:20Speaker 8: it's back is marking. Mmm, hey we're gonna watch some film.

- 16:48Speaker 5: more than a direction said, come on, get right.
- 16:53Speaker 2: What the directions say on ad bil, I don't.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Know what they say, actually, but I know that what
- 16:58Speaker 5: doctors have told me that for a short period of time,
- 17:02Speaker 5: like a handful of days or whatever, you can take
- 17:04Speaker 5: eight hundred milligrams three times a day, every eight hours.
- 17:08Speaker 2: It seems like you've done some deep research.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Well it seems like I had, you know, elbleten and
- 17:13Speaker 5: itis for a couple of years in the NFL. That's true.
- 17:15Speaker 5: I forgot about that. I don't call it, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 5: liver damage. I just call it grittiness. Yep, you don't
- 17:22Speaker 5: not physically, hopefully, and it's not gritty, hopefully, it's smooth.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Saints got to win.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Yeah, alright, seventeen seven over the Carolina Panthers.
- 17:37Speaker 2: That's good. I think it's good. It's how you play
- 17:40Speaker 2: to win the game.
- 17:42Speaker 3: Tyler Shuk nineteen of twenty seven, two d and eighty
- 17:45Speaker 3: two yards ten point four per which is a great number.
- 17:51Speaker 5: He did a really nice job in the game making
- 17:54Speaker 5: plays happen off schedule.
- 17:55Speaker 2: He did a really good job off schedule, make us
- 17:57Speaker 2: a place. Yeah.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, there was one where Ivy and he just the
- 18:01Speaker 3: rusher was right there and he found a way and
- 18:02Speaker 3: got out like right at the last second, and it
- 18:05Speaker 3: was a big play to Juwan Johnson. I think that
- 18:07Speaker 3: was the fifty two yarder. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken there,
- 18:10Speaker 3: he is that the one early in the game. I
- 18:12Speaker 3: think the first the first big play.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it was a great stepped.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Up in the pocket, moved within the pocket, gave you
- 18:19Speaker 5: guys a chance and and look, you take advantage of
- 18:22Speaker 5: opportunities that you have and guys popped wide open. You
- 18:25Speaker 5: had a couple of dvs fall down and you got it.
- 18:29Speaker 5: But you don't make those plays unless like you're creating
- 18:32Speaker 5: that momentum, creating that time in the pocket and keeping
- 18:34Speaker 5: your eyes down field and then don't look now. Chris
- 18:37Speaker 5: of Olive Chris Alave has stacked a couple of really
- 18:40Speaker 5: nice games together in this season. He played great yesterday
- 18:42Speaker 5: one handed catch, made a great play on the long touchdown,
- 18:46Speaker 5: which was a great Tyler shuck. Is like the guy's
- 18:49Speaker 5: not not open. Throw it in a place that your
- 18:51Speaker 5: guy can make a play and give it a chance.
- 18:53Speaker 5: You see that play made by good quarterbacks all the time.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and look they were hand fighting.
- 18:57Speaker 3: dB falls down, goes and scores in Juwan Johnson and
- 19:02Speaker 3: I'm not trying I swear to god, I'm not trying
- 19:04Speaker 3: to be funny. He caught the ball and held onto
- 19:06Speaker 3: the ball and made big plays like he's had moments
- 19:09Speaker 3: where he's caught the ball and fullbled it or had
- 19:11Speaker 3: it in his hands and dropped it like this is
- 19:13Speaker 3: the good part of Juwan Johnson. I mean even when
- 19:17Speaker 3: he catches it though it makes play waiting, I know,
- 19:21Speaker 3: because it doesn't look secure. It never looks doesn't look
- 19:25Speaker 3: like just a real like I stuck the catch. It's
- 19:27Speaker 3: like his fingers don't touch the ball, only as palms
- 19:29Speaker 3: touched the ball. I swear to guy, go back and
- 19:32Speaker 3: watch it, so he's playing with mittens. Swear every time
- 19:34Speaker 3: it feels like he catches it with his palm and
- 19:36Speaker 3: his fingers.
- 19:37Speaker 5: Don't are you saying Juwan Johnson's football gloves receiver gloves
- 19:40Speaker 5: are actually receiver mittens. I think so that makes a
- 19:44Speaker 5: lot of sense. Yesterday he had.
- 19:45Speaker 3: A big day, four for ninety two, had a score,
- 19:48Speaker 3: had the fifty two yarder, and the defense played incredible.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Defense was great.
- 19:55Speaker 3: And Caroline's not the best offense, but they certainly can
- 19:59Speaker 3: run the football. I mean, Rico dall Is somebody that
- 20:03Speaker 3: had been tearing it up over the last couple of weeks.
- 20:05Speaker 3: He has eighteen carries, only fifty three yards two point
- 20:08Speaker 3: nine yards per rush. And then for you on the
- 20:11Speaker 3: other side of it, I'm not saying that you set
- 20:14Speaker 3: the world on fire by any means running the football,
- 20:16Speaker 3: but you stayed committed to.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Running the football.
- 20:19Speaker 3: You ran it thirty seven times, only one hundred and
- 20:21Speaker 3: twenty two yards, but you stayed committed to it, time
- 20:25Speaker 3: of possession.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Stayed on schedule. It helped you stay on schedule yesterday,
- 20:28Speaker 5: and that's what happened. Tyler Schuck making some plays. It
- 20:31Speaker 5: keeps the defense on their heels a little bit, keeps
- 20:33Speaker 5: them honests a little bit. You can't tee off you
- 20:35Speaker 5: can't predict when you're going to go run or pass,
- 20:37Speaker 5: which that's what happens with struggling offense. You saw it
- 20:39Speaker 5: with the Saints a lot this year. You see with
- 20:41Speaker 5: LSU you become very predictable. And I thought it was
- 20:45Speaker 5: a well a really well constructed game plan, really well executed.
- 20:52Speaker 5: Sure there's still issues on the offensive line, but Tyler
- 20:54Speaker 5: Tyler did a really good job. And people in the
- 20:57Speaker 5: huddle over here chat. Yeah, if you want to, how
- 21:04Speaker 5: much I wish we could name it the huddle again.
- 21:06Speaker 5: They said, Matt, you can't hate on Schuck today. I've
- 21:09Speaker 5: never hated on him, not one time. Just want you
- 21:11Speaker 5: all to know that. Let the record show. I hope
- 21:14Speaker 5: he's an all pro guy. I hope the Saints got there,
- 21:17Speaker 5: got their guy, and it looked like it yesterday.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Now you gotta stack games, of course, but yeah, that's
- 21:24Speaker 3: and that's got a stack. Yeah, this isn't hated on
- 21:27Speaker 3: Tyler Shuck. This is when Spencer Ratler was getting all
- 21:31Speaker 3: the blames. Like Spencer's doing some good things out there,
- 21:33Speaker 3: and Spencer had what was it the Giants game that
- 21:35Speaker 3: Spencer played like this and the that was the win,
- 21:39Speaker 3: right And so to Matt's point, that's great. Now you
- 21:42Speaker 3: gotta go stack another one because last time, last last
- 21:45Speaker 3: game for Tyler Struck wasn't great.
- 21:47Speaker 2: This one was great.
- 21:48Speaker 5: Got all indications, all indications from yesterday. I'm a big arm,
- 21:52Speaker 5: calm calm in the pocket. Uh made plays within the pocket.
- 21:56Speaker 5: UH created more time for his receivers and found the guys.
- 21:59Speaker 5: So like, it was a lot too, a lot to
- 22:02Speaker 5: be excited about for Saints fans and for Kellen Moore
- 22:05Speaker 5: and that whole staff. There was a lot of good
- 22:08Speaker 5: things right now. Now now it's like, now you start
- 22:10Speaker 5: playing the numbers game with wins, losses, draft picks.
- 22:15Speaker 2: What Tyler's doing? Are we going for a quarterback? Are
- 22:17Speaker 2: we not?
- 22:18Speaker 5: Hopefully he kept he keeps on this trajectory so they
- 22:20Speaker 5: don't have to and they can because there's so many
- 22:22Speaker 5: areas that you need that you don't want to have
- 22:27Speaker 5: to spend a lot of draft capital.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Because you don't have a lot of draft capital. Right
- 22:31Speaker 2: you know, you picked up a couple of picks at
- 22:33Speaker 2: the trade headline.
- 22:33Speaker 5: They tried to feed val try to get that fourth
- 22:36Speaker 5: round use out of him.
- 22:38Speaker 2: He had boy and catch fifteen yards.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Not a big deal stack him, but a love looking
- 22:44Speaker 5: like a one receiver a little bit a couple of
- 22:46Speaker 5: times this year. Now kind of goes dark for a
- 22:49Speaker 5: little bit every now and then.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Well we know, like having the number one pick and
- 22:58Speaker 3: potentially quarterbacks like and you want to take a franchise
- 23:02Speaker 3: when you haven't done so.
- 23:03Speaker 2: We know all the stats.
- 23:05Speaker 3: But to your point, they need so much help, and
- 23:09Speaker 3: receiver is a spot that they desperately need help because
- 23:12Speaker 3: a lave went out there and had a great game.
- 23:15Speaker 3: But then your second leading receiver, a tight end, your
- 23:17Speaker 3: third leading receiver a running back, your fourth leading receiver
- 23:20Speaker 3: a tight end. Vele was your second leading wide receiver
- 23:25Speaker 3: and he had fifteen yards. Two receivers, two actual receivers
- 23:30Speaker 3: caught passes in this game for the Saints, and you
- 23:33Speaker 3: threw for two hundred and eighty two yards. Like, that's
- 23:38Speaker 3: a real issue. I don't care who's playing quarterback. They
- 23:40Speaker 3: got to go get some more weapons for whoever it is.
- 23:45Speaker 5: Yeah, that's an issue for sure, But I mean, look,
- 23:49Speaker 5: it's well you can look at it like that or
- 23:51Speaker 5: you can look say, hey, we were able to throw
- 23:53Speaker 5: two hundred and eight two yards and only two receivers
- 23:55Speaker 5: caught pass. So there's there was positives out there, certainly
- 24:00Speaker 5: Carolina Panthers. They did not play very good. Bryce Young
- 24:03Speaker 5: might be the worst established starter in the NFL.
- 24:07Speaker 3: And seventeen of twenty five one hundred and twenty four yards,
- 24:09Speaker 3: five yards in a ten no touchdowns, one interception, two sacks, yay's.
- 24:13Speaker 5: Bat yep, good completion percentage. The xavior Leaett he had
- 24:18Speaker 5: an opportunity for a one hitded catch, zero catches, zero yards.
- 24:22Speaker 2: He's coming though. Camara added eighty three to my total.
- 24:26Speaker 4: He did he played, so.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Turn back the clock.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Not gonna happen, but the way better chance of that
- 24:34Speaker 3: than the get Let.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Me tell you, NFL football is wild. It's just NFL.
- 24:42Speaker 2: NFL football is a wild it.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Says football in this t no, the NFL, National Football League,
- 24:49Speaker 5: National Football leage football.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You got a lot of issues pal NFL's wild.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Who had the dollar being the Bills thirty to thirteen,
- 25:01Speaker 5: Bill's covering nine and a half.
- 25:03Speaker 7: Okay, but remember at the beginning of the season, we
- 25:06Speaker 7: were like dang Tua kind of went toe to toe
- 25:08Speaker 7: with Josh Allen.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, right.
- 25:10Speaker 3: But even in that game though, remember they got like
- 25:12Speaker 3: a back door cover.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So they wound. Yeah, I think it was. It was
- 25:17Speaker 2: closer than it. But then like the scoring and then
- 25:20Speaker 2: they scored at the end. Yeah, uh huh.
- 25:22Speaker 8: But if you go look at that game yesterday, keep trying.
- 25:27Speaker 8: I didn't get to watch it. I keep trying to
- 25:28Speaker 8: figure out how the Dolphins won this game? Why to
- 25:31Speaker 8: a teg of one hundred and seventy three yards passing
- 25:34Speaker 8: two interceptions, Josh Allen three hundred and six yards passing
- 25:37Speaker 8: only one turnover, and we did have the fumble as well.
- 25:39Speaker 5: But well because seventy four yards ran it for off?
- 25:45Speaker 5: Is it like everybody pronounced it differently. I've always said
- 25:49Speaker 5: a chain. I've always said a change too.
- 25:51Speaker 3: That's what Jimbo says, and that's the that was his
- 25:53Speaker 3: coaching college. I've always said, all right, I think it's
- 25:58Speaker 3: a change, yep.
- 25:59Speaker 5: I mean how they win because they I watched a
- 26:02Speaker 5: lot of it. It wasn't like even necessarily closed. Josh
- 26:06Speaker 5: Allen like, who are you? You're an alien sometimes and
- 26:10Speaker 5: sometimes it's not a great alien, right. I said that
- 26:12Speaker 5: for years, and you have been saying and it's still
- 26:14Speaker 5: the same you Bob used to always be like, oh,
- 26:17Speaker 5: that's so dumb.
- 26:17Speaker 2: I'm like, I look a likely guy a lot.
- 26:19Speaker 3: But it's like every time I'm ready to fully get
- 26:22Speaker 3: myself over to him.
- 26:23Speaker 2: I know this happened, he.
- 26:23Speaker 5: Breaks your heart. Like last year it didn't happen a lot.
- 26:28Speaker 5: But like he's made some he's making some wild plays.
- 26:31Speaker 5: The AFC is wide open, wide open. I think there's
- 26:35Speaker 5: some leaders in the clubhouse for sure.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Like what the Patriots are doing winning seven in a row,
- 26:39Speaker 3: that's very impressive. The Broncos have won seven in a row.
- 26:42Speaker 3: It's a different style of impressive because yeah, they've played
- 26:46Speaker 3: some really really bad teams and they've had some really
- 26:48Speaker 3: bad offense with that defens is super elite. Uh, charges
- 26:53Speaker 3: of one three in a row. The Ravens don't look
- 26:55Speaker 3: now they like.
- 26:56Speaker 2: But they did. I was watching that game yesterday. They
- 26:59Speaker 2: didn't even look great.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Every time I would I had like the little quad
- 27:02Speaker 5: box going yeah, And so every time I would like
- 27:05Speaker 5: get my eyeballs to them, like Lamar is either getting
- 27:07Speaker 5: sacked or getting crushed as he was throwing it. Yeah,
- 27:10Speaker 5: Like they didn't even look impressive. But then I look
- 27:12Speaker 5: at the scoreboard. They're killing it. I think the Bears
- 27:17Speaker 5: on the NFC side have won six their last seven.
- 27:19Speaker 5: By the way, the Bears Bears won six of their
- 27:24Speaker 5: last seven. The NFL is a wild season right now.
- 27:28Speaker 3: The Giants are creating ways to lose games, new ways.
- 27:37Speaker 3: It's Jackson Darts. Gotta he's gonna have to play little.
- 27:42Speaker 3: He's gonna play a little. He's not gonna play for
- 27:45Speaker 3: a long time. No, he can't.
- 27:48Speaker 2: He can't continue doing what he's doing.
- 27:49Speaker 5: Your brain can only receive too many bruises. For so
- 27:53Speaker 5: many bruises. But it was fun to watch yesterday. A
- 27:55Speaker 5: little snow in that game. That's football, baby.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I love scene. I love snow games.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Nothing more exciting, nothing more beautiful, romantic, that little snowy
- 28:08Speaker 5: football game.
- 28:09Speaker 4: The Packers are still sitting at the top of the NFC.
- 28:12Speaker 2: North, by the way, No, it's wild though.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Packers would be the three seed. I believe in the
- 28:17Speaker 3: NFC right now too. It'd be Seattle, Philly, Green Bay, Tampa,
- 28:22Speaker 3: La Detroit.
- 28:23Speaker 5: The Lions are the best team in that right the
- 28:25Speaker 5: second The Lions are the best thing.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Now we'll see the night.
- 28:28Speaker 7: I'm a little surprised that the Packers are ahead of them,
- 28:31Speaker 7: but that tie. Yeah, Lions and Bears are neck and
- 28:35Speaker 7: neck though.
- 28:36Speaker 5: Yeah, so the Lions are, I believe right now, the
- 28:40Speaker 5: best team in that division.
- 28:41Speaker 2: But we'll see the night.
- 28:42Speaker 5: We'll see what who comes out jackal or hide For
- 28:44Speaker 5: the Packers, they play the Eagles at home. They just
- 28:46Speaker 5: got embarrassed at home by the Panthers, who lost to
- 28:49Speaker 5: the Saints.
- 28:50Speaker 2: For crying out.
- 28:51Speaker 3: Loud, Hey, it's the the Chargers loss to the Giants.
- 28:57Speaker 3: The Saints beat the Giants like it's true. It is
- 29:01Speaker 3: what it is. It's a wild game out there. It's exciting. Now,
- 29:05Speaker 3: y'all hate on me for what did you say?
- 29:09Speaker 2: Football?
- 29:10Speaker 5: NFL football? So y'all hated on me yesterday. I was
- 29:13Speaker 5: talking about how good Caleb Williams is. Y'all been laughing
- 29:16Speaker 5: at me. I'll been hating on me.
- 29:19Speaker 2: It was his TikTok quarterback.
- 29:21Speaker 5: It's true, always on he was Literally all quarterbacks are
- 29:24Speaker 5: on TikTok, and all of them there's clips on them,
- 29:27Speaker 5: most of them.
- 29:28Speaker 2: Oh you know what I mean.
- 29:28Speaker 4: You think Matt Stafford's on TikTok clips?
- 29:32Speaker 2: His wife Matt Stafford paints his nails.
- 29:35Speaker 5: I would say like towards the end of that game,
- 29:37Speaker 5: so he kind of put the team on the back
- 29:39Speaker 5: at the end of the game.
- 29:40Speaker 3: The thing about him, because you're right like he'll he'll
- 29:42Speaker 3: do some stuff. You're like, Okay, that's not normal, that's
- 29:45Speaker 3: somebody can do that. He always got in trouble because
- 29:48Speaker 3: he would try to go even above and beyond what
- 29:51Speaker 3: that was, what that was, and he didn't need to
- 29:53Speaker 3: and he didn't need to, which he seems like, well,
- 29:56Speaker 3: I think that's why I said Ben Johnson is the
- 29:58Speaker 3: best thing to have for that guyberflu was not.
- 30:03Speaker 2: No, he did.
- 30:04Speaker 5: He couldn't command a kindergarten room. Uh, but that guy
- 30:08Speaker 5: through a couple of passes over the middle yesterday like
- 30:11Speaker 5: seam routes that I would like to get the mile
- 30:14Speaker 5: per hour on him, Like they were humming, Yeah, looked
- 30:18Speaker 5: like me in that flag football game.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Right there, like that one, but that was on the
- 30:23Speaker 2: run to the left colon.
- 30:25Speaker 5: He throwed run into the left throwing it in between
- 30:28Speaker 5: the hashes, caught the back of the ball anyway.
- 30:31Speaker 2: It was very impressive.
- 30:32Speaker 5: If like, watch out for Kayle Williams in the next
- 30:34Speaker 5: couple of years as he gets more established than that.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Ben Johnson offense guys special talent. Yeah, using all his
- 30:40Speaker 5: weapons too. I know a lot of people hate on him.
- 30:43Speaker 5: I get it, but I just watched the football part.
- 30:47Speaker 4: I gotta say, I don't mind the painted nails.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I don't care about I don't care at all. I mean,
- 30:53Speaker 2: I'm not doing it, but yeah.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Do you you're not doing it.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I take a lot of pain cover tho. It's look
- 31:02Speaker 2: it would got like an actual gallon of fate.
- 31:06Speaker 3: Uh yeah, if you play tough on the football field,
- 31:09Speaker 3: I don't really care.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Seems like they are. They've won six of
- 31:14Speaker 2: their last seven.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I told you to watch out for the Bears in
- 31:16Speaker 5: the back half of the season, but they kind of
- 31:18Speaker 5: already find they're finding ways to win, right. The Giants, Yeah,
- 31:20Speaker 5: they found a way to lose the game as well.
- 31:22Speaker 3: It might all be for not though. In the NFC,
- 31:24Speaker 3: with the way Seattle's playing.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Oh my god, those guys.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Sat Donald threw twelve passes yesterday and they won forty
- 31:31Speaker 3: four to twenty two.
- 31:32Speaker 8: DeMarcus Lawrence had two almost identical plays like fumble recovery
- 31:38Speaker 8: returned for a touchdown.
- 31:39Speaker 2: They were almost identify.
- 31:40Speaker 5: Yeah, makes that Saints loss to him, not don't look
- 31:44Speaker 5: so bad.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Isn't it.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Zach Charbonnay and Kenneth Walker both really good running backs
- 31:50Speaker 3: seeing him. Darnald doing what he's doing, Jackson Smith and
- 31:53Speaker 3: Jigbo you got Cooper Cup just saying yeah, I'll have
- 31:57Speaker 3: a sixty seven yard catch. Yesterday sure Rashichia Heat only
- 32:01Speaker 3: had one catch. But now he adds himself into the mix.
- 32:05Speaker 3: The defense is really good.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Seahawks are it might be a we're looking at Seahawks
- 32:14Speaker 5: Patriots super Bowl.
- 32:16Speaker 2: He it's either going to run at this time or
- 32:18Speaker 2: throw it again. I don't think it matters this gesure.
- 32:23Speaker 2: All right, We'll take a break.
- 32:24Speaker 3: More OTB when we come back here live from the
- 32:26Speaker 3: Raisin King Studio.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Off the Bench.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Are you go to trash rangers dot com.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Trash rangers dot com is the website if you want
- 32:35Speaker 3: to sign up for residential or commercial service. It is

- 33:41Speaker 1: Locked in LSU football twenty four to seven. You're listening
- 33:44Speaker 1: to Off the Bench.
- 33:56Speaker 5: I've been rolling.
- 33:57Speaker 6: Around looking down all love painted face is the place
- 34:07Speaker 6: is a carriage. You know that somebody.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Happened to Kings of Leon. I mean, I know there's
- 34:16Speaker 3: still like a thing like a band. Hey had a
- 34:20Speaker 3: stranglehold a lot of a lot of music space there
- 34:24Speaker 3: for a while.
- 34:24Speaker 5: First learned about kings Lean from your friend group, your
- 34:27Speaker 5: high school friend group at your wedding. Yeah, like they
- 34:31Speaker 5: were all listening to it and I was like, all right,
- 34:32Speaker 5: this is good. They're like, yeah, they're really famous in like,
- 34:35Speaker 5: uh in England. But aren't they aren't they from like
- 34:39Speaker 5: backcountry Kentucky or something like that like that.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Yeah, like they went over like Tennessee, yeah where they
- 34:46Speaker 3: went over to let's see England or something like before
- 34:50Speaker 3: they did a tour and everybody's these guys are kind
- 34:52Speaker 3: of good.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:54Speaker 5: But like there was that documentary I believe that came
- 34:56Speaker 5: out on and there was like a lot of like
- 34:58Speaker 5: math and stuff there.
- 35:00Speaker 2: They dabble.
- 35:00Speaker 7: I mean, I mean, what artist doesn't you know.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Amongst us just kidding, it's not a thing.
- 35:06Speaker 2: Do do drugs? Yeah, but if you do, make sure
- 35:11Speaker 2: you're an artist.
- 35:11Speaker 5: I mean, they make sure you're an artist. Creativeness they
- 35:15Speaker 5: had a run. They had a run and look timeless music.
- 35:20Speaker 4: They released the album last year.
- 35:23Speaker 3: I know that she's like doing stuff, but you know
- 35:25Speaker 3: what I mean, like every song they put out for
- 35:27Speaker 3: a while.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Yeah, the good stuff. Yeah, yea question for us. Sorry, yeah,
- 35:32Speaker 2: I got a little hypothetical question for you guys.
- 35:36Speaker 5: All right, bo uh So the San Francisco forty nine
- 35:40Speaker 5: ers we kind of talked about like how good they've
- 35:43Speaker 5: actually been this year despite like a plethora of injuries.
- 35:48Speaker 5: So they lose yesterday, they lose to the Rams. Rams
- 35:50Speaker 5: are they're they're good man. The Rams of Seahawks are
- 35:53Speaker 5: to me the top of the NFC right the second
- 35:55Speaker 5: at least. So they lose yesterday, But they've been doing
- 35:58Speaker 5: this all season with mac Jones. What mccorkyl, so what
- 36:02Speaker 5: you call him, mccork mccorkyl Jones, mccorkyl Jones, what I
- 36:06Speaker 5: call mother and father called former first round pick form
- 36:09Speaker 5: on the birth certificate. Yes, all right, so former first
- 36:13Speaker 5: round pick, former castaway of the NFL bust. So they
- 36:19Speaker 5: have been on a winning streak with him. Yesterday during
- 36:22Speaker 5: the game they lose, of course. So but he went
- 36:24Speaker 5: thirty three of thirty nine, three hundred and nineteen yards
- 36:28Speaker 5: three touchdowns. So in this scenario, what I'm thinking is,
- 36:33Speaker 5: do you, if you're the San Francisco forty nine ers,
- 36:38Speaker 5: do you think about trading brock Party if you're gonna
- 36:40Speaker 5: if you can command two to three first round picks
- 36:43Speaker 5: for him, Like what if you're going to trade him
- 36:45Speaker 5: to the Jets? What if you're going to trade him
- 36:46Speaker 5: to somebody that's looking for a quarterback to establish with
- 36:49Speaker 5: a new head coach, someone disciplined a good quarterback. Now,
- 36:53Speaker 5: this is not me saying that Brock Party is a
- 36:55Speaker 5: better quarterback than Mac Jones. I'm that's not yet. I
- 37:00Speaker 5: think Rock Party is a better quarterback than Matt Jones.
- 37:02Speaker 5: But the way he's playing, they have been to the
- 37:05Speaker 5: super Bowl with Garoppolo, they've been to the super Bowl
- 37:08Speaker 5: with Rock Party.
- 37:11Speaker 2: How much better is he? Is he?
- 37:14Speaker 5: So my scenario here is if, kid, if you could
- 37:17Speaker 5: trade Rock Party for let's just say two to three
- 37:20Speaker 5: first round picks and get rid of fifty something million
- 37:23Speaker 5: dollars per year, would you do it?
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yes?
- 37:29Speaker 7: Leaning toward yes, But I don't know enough about the
- 37:33Speaker 7: forty nine ers, like what they have position wise if
- 37:37Speaker 7: they need the But I'm leaning towards us.
- 37:40Speaker 5: So it's a situation that would like no one ever
- 37:43Speaker 5: thinks about trading their franchise quarterback, especially after you sign
- 37:46Speaker 5: him to a big deal.
- 37:46Speaker 2: That's your franchise guy.
- 37:48Speaker 5: But like, if any team doesn't need like a top
- 37:52Speaker 5: five quarterback, he would be the.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Niner And they're like the only team that can draft
- 37:56Speaker 3: a guy like trade Lance give up what they did
- 37:58Speaker 3: and it didn't.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Really and that hurt us. So that's the thing.
- 38:00Speaker 5: If you're looking at this from that perspective in twenty
- 38:03Speaker 5: twenty one, they probably feel like they should have drafted
- 38:05Speaker 5: somebody else in the hundred.
- 38:07Speaker 8: If you remember a pre draft thought it was macid
- 38:10Speaker 8: was going to be. When they traded up the three overall,
- 38:12Speaker 8: everybody said, well, it's going to be Lawrence Wilson mac
- 38:14Speaker 8: Jones three.
- 38:15Speaker 5: If you can reset it, the same staff says we
- 38:18Speaker 5: should have picked him in the first place instead of
- 38:21Speaker 5: Trey Lance. Now we have him starting, and he has
- 38:25Speaker 5: won us many, many games so far with so many
- 38:29Speaker 5: injuries all around, and even in a losing effort yesterday
- 38:32Speaker 5: played really well. I think it's a question worth asking.
- 38:36Speaker 5: It's a scenario worth exploring for them, especially if somebody,
- 38:40Speaker 5: maybe maybe a team that just somehow got two first
- 38:43Speaker 5: round picks for a cornerback, would they have a couple
- 38:46Speaker 5: of extra first rounders to give.
- 38:48Speaker 8: I think the thing you have to ask is like
- 38:50Speaker 8: the only question you have to ask if you're Shanahan
- 38:52Speaker 8: and Lanches, can we win a Super Bowl with mac Jones?
- 38:55Speaker 2: Can we get to a super Bowl? Because you've seen
- 38:57Speaker 2: Purty do it?
- 38:59Speaker 8: Like might be my only but to your point with
- 39:02Speaker 8: all the pigs they need receivers back Brandon. I it
- 39:06Speaker 8: was a stupid contrac They shouldn't have paid him. He
- 39:07Speaker 8: wasn't worth that money anyways, but he hasn't been healthy
- 39:10Speaker 8: all year long. You had to get rid of multiple
- 39:12Speaker 8: defensive players last year in order to pay a BRONC
- 39:15Speaker 8: party U Fenga, who looked like a Pro Bowl safety
- 39:18Speaker 8: for you. He's in Denver now. I mean there are
- 39:20Speaker 8: a few pieces you need, so like, I don't actually
- 39:23Speaker 8: hate that idea.
- 39:24Speaker 5: If like, if you if you've proven as an organization
- 39:28Speaker 5: that you've probably proven with Kyle Shanahan that you will
- 39:34Speaker 5: never need to pay a quarterback fifty plus million dollars
- 39:37Speaker 5: they just did, because you know, if you have a quarterback.
- 39:41Speaker 5: GMS used to always say, I want to overpay a quarterback.
- 39:44Speaker 5: I want to have that. I want to be in
- 39:46Speaker 5: that position to have to overpay somebody because that's mean
- 39:48Speaker 5: we found it. That means we found a quarterback. Well,
- 39:50Speaker 5: they've done it with two guys already. They've gone to
- 39:53Speaker 5: the Super Bowl. They even win. But they went to
- 39:55Speaker 5: the Super Bowl with Garoppolo and Party. Are any of
- 39:59Speaker 5: those guys. Neither one of those are top ten quarterback
- 40:02Speaker 5: in the NFL right now. They're winning with Mac Jones.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:06Speaker 5: So like the scenarios out there, if I was them,
- 40:08Speaker 5: I'd be shopping right now because you could get many
- 40:11Speaker 5: first rounders.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 40:13Speaker 3: I think you got one of, if not the best
- 40:14Speaker 3: play caller play designers in the NFL. I'm not saying
- 40:17Speaker 3: that you can have anybody out there, but you can
- 40:19Speaker 3: have a lot of.
- 40:20Speaker 2: People out there play quarterback.
- 40:21Speaker 5: And the whole scenario is so interesting with the whole
- 40:24Speaker 5: Trey Lance in the twenty twenty one that was the
- 40:25Speaker 5: same draft as Mac Jones, and they probably thought, man,
- 40:28Speaker 5: we should have probably picked somebody else besides, and it
- 40:30Speaker 5: could have been Mac Jones.
- 40:31Speaker 3: A lot of people thought when they traded up, it
- 40:32Speaker 3: was for mac Jones, right, not Tree Lance.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Tree Lance is busy all back up there for the
- 40:39Speaker 2: LA Chargers.
- 40:40Speaker 5: So it's an interesting scenario. And okay, like that would
- 40:46Speaker 5: be an unprecedented situation where you trade away a franchise quarterback.
- 40:50Speaker 5: I got paid like a franchise guy and he's still young.
- 40:54Speaker 5: But I don't think they need.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Him Mac Jones, you could say doing things the right way,
- 41:02Speaker 3: right right, Yeah, Well, I just need to use just
- 41:05Speaker 3: for this commercial.
