- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Ladies and gentlemen, we ask that you please take your seats at this time as the program will begin momentarily.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Uplifting the airways, one dimple at a time.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's time for the Dimple Report.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: News, laughs, and Dimplified Moments with your host, founder, and Chief Doubles Officer of National Doubles Day, Graceful Grady.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Remember, dimples are more than a trait.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: They're a reason to celebrate.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah!
- 0:58SPEAKER_07: Welcome back, everyone, to the Dimple Report, the official podcast of National Dimples Day.
- 1:04SPEAKER_07: Now I'm your host, Grace Pogrady, founder and chief dimples officer of National Dimples Day.
- 1:11SPEAKER_07: Dimples Nation, boy, do we have a show today.
- 1:15SPEAKER_07: We got basketball royalty, one dimples nationer breaking the record of another Dimples Nationer, Melissa McCarthy stepping into a very difficult role.
- 1:25SPEAKER_07: And then our Dimples Spotlight takes us into a television universe where somebody has been investigating crimes for more than three decades.
- 1:33SPEAKER_07: And wouldn't you know it, the man behind it all has a cleft chin.
- 1:38SPEAKER_07: So somebody call the Dimple Detection Unit because today the DDU is going law and order.
- 1:47SPEAKER_07: But before we open the case file, you know what time it is.
- 1:50SPEAKER_07: It's time for dimples in the headlines.
- 1:54SPEAKER_07: Let's get into it.
- 2:29SPEAKER_07: And yes, the DDU has that cleft chin in the file.
- 2:33SPEAKER_07: But here's the thing: Lisa Leslie's place in basketball history goes way beyond our Dimple business.
- 2:40SPEAKER_07: We're talking about a four-time Olympic gold medalist, three-time WNBA MVP, two-time WNBA champion, a Hall of Famer, and the woman who became the first player to dunk in a WNBA game.
- 2:59SPEAKER_07: And now there's another honor to add to that resume.
- 3:03SPEAKER_07: On September 20th, the Los Angeles Sparks unveiled a bronze statue of Lisa Leslie outside of the Crypto.com arena.
- 3:11SPEAKER_07: And I love this.
- 3:12SPEAKER_07: Lisa calls the statue the first lady.
- 3:15SPEAKER_07: The statue depicts that historic dunk and stands 11 feet tall on a 4.5 foot base.
- 3:22SPEAKER_07: Lisa Leslie became the first Spox player honored with the statue there.
- 3:26SPEAKER_07: Now, that is what I call making history permanent.
- 3:31SPEAKER_07: So, from National Dimples Day, the Dimple Report and all of Dimple's Nation, congratulations Lisa Leslie, basketball legend, Trailblazer.
- 3:42SPEAKER_07: And yes, left chin confirmed.
- 3:46SPEAKER_07: Dimples Nation, staying with the WNBA.
- 3:49SPEAKER_07: I have some news.
- 3:51SPEAKER_07: One of our members had lost her record.
- 3:53SPEAKER_07: Cheek dimpled, Caitlin Clark.
- 3:56SPEAKER_07: But Caitlin, Dimples Nation, don't worry, because if somebody had to take it, at least it stayed in the Dimples Nation.
- 4:06SPEAKER_07: Minnesota Lynx rookie, Olivia Miles, another member of the Clefchen Club, has officially broken Caitlin Clark's WNBA rookie scoring record.
- 4:15SPEAKER_07: Clark scored 769 points during her rookie season in 2024.
- 4:21SPEAKER_07: Olivia at the Sunday's game tied with her at 769.
- 4:26SPEAKER_07: By the way, my favorite three-digit number.
- 4:29SPEAKER_07: Then a second quarter free throw gave Olivia point number 770 in the record.
- 4:35SPEAKER_07: She finished the game with 21 points, bringing her season total to 790.
- 4:41SPEAKER_07: Here's something very important.
- 4:43SPEAKER_07: Both Clark and Miles reached their marks in 40 games.
- 4:48SPEAKER_07: So, Caitlin, you may have lost the record, but you didn't lose it to just anybody.
- 4:54SPEAKER_07: You passed the torch from one member of the Dimples Nation to another.
- 4:58SPEAKER_07: No jealousy, no dimple drama, just dimple history.
- 5:03SPEAKER_07: Congratulations, Olivia Miles.
- 5:08SPEAKER_07: And finally, we're heading to Hollywood.
- 5:12SPEAKER_07: One of our Cheek Dimple members, Melissa McCarthy, has a very different project coming.
- 5:17SPEAKER_07: Netflix has announced that the murder of John Burnet Ramsey will premiere December 10th.
- 5:23SPEAKER_07: McCarthy will portray Patsy Ramsey alongside Clive Owen as John Burnet Ramsey in the limited series about the still unsolved 1996 murder of six-year-old Jean Burnet Ramsey.
- 5:36SPEAKER_07: Emily Mitchell plays John Burnet.
- 5:39SPEAKER_07: And McCarthy is also, by the way, an executive producer on the series.
- 5:44SPEAKER_07: Now, we normally have a lot of fun around here, but obviously the real story behind this project is tragic.
- 5:50SPEAKER_07: So we'll treat that part with the respect it deserves.
- 5:53SPEAKER_07: But from a dimple report perspective, I'll definitely be interested in seeing Melissa McCarthy take a very dramatic role.
- 6:01SPEAKER_07: And by the way, Melissa, the DD already knows about those cheek dimples.
- 6:08SPEAKER_09: We interrupt this program to bring you an important announcement.
- 6:12SPEAKER_09: There's a pattern hiding in plain sight.
- 6:16SPEAKER_09: The last three Super Bowl MVPs all had some form of dimple.
- 6:21SPEAKER_09: The latest Major League Baseball MVPs, some form of dimple.
- 6:26SPEAKER_09: The latest best actor and best actress Oscar winners, some form of dimple.
- 6:32SPEAKER_09: The last three masters champions, some form of dimple.
- 6:36SPEAKER_09: We're not saying dimples create champions.
- 6:39SPEAKER_09: We're saying champions with dimples keep showing up.
- 6:42SPEAKER_09: Now imagine turning that pattern into a prediction.
- 6:45SPEAKER_09: Dimple bets.
- 6:47SPEAKER_09: Where the next question could be: will the next champion have some form of dimples?
- 6:52SPEAKER_09: Place your bets.
- 6:54SPEAKER_09: Dimple bets.
- 6:56SPEAKER_07: Coming soon.
- 6:59SPEAKER_07: Alright.
- 7:00SPEAKER_07: Dimples Nation, basketball records, Hollywood, statues.
- 7:05SPEAKER_07: We've covered the headlines, but now it's time to investigate a man whose television empire has spent decades investigating everybody else.
- 7:13SPEAKER_07: So, DDU, please, bring me the case file.
- 7:18SPEAKER_07: Let me take a look at it.
- 7:25SPEAKER_07: Hmm.
- 7:26SPEAKER_07: Name.
- 7:27SPEAKER_07: Richard Anthony Woof.
- 7:29SPEAKER_07: Occupation.
- 7:30SPEAKER_07: Writer.
- 7:34SPEAKER_07: Known alias.
- 7:36SPEAKER_07: Dick Woof.
- 7:37SPEAKER_07: Distinguishing characteristic.
- 7:39SPEAKER_07: Wait, wait a minute.
- 7:41SPEAKER_07: Get the dimplifying glass.
- 7:43SPEAKER_07: There it is.
- 7:44SPEAKER_07: Left chin.
- 7:46SPEAKER_07: Aka butt chin.
- 7:47SPEAKER_07: Aka Chin Dimple.
- 7:49SPEAKER_07: Case confirmed.
- 7:51SPEAKER_07: Dimple's Nation, we got him.
- 7:53SPEAKER_07: It's time for today's Dimple Spotlight.
- 7:58SPEAKER_07: Now, that sound tells you exactly where we're going.
- 8:02SPEAKER_07: Dick Wolf is the television creator and producer behind one of the most recognizable franchises in television history, Law and Order.
- 8:11SPEAKER_07: It ran for 20 seasons before returning to television in 2022.
- 8:16SPEAKER_07: But Dick Wolf, nah, he didn't stop with one show.
- 8:20SPEAKER_07: The Law and Order Universe expanded into series including Law Order Special Victims Unit, Law Order Criminal Intent, and then Wolf Kept Building.
- 8:31SPEAKER_07: The man behind the Law and Order Universe also became the driving creative forces behind the Chicago television franchise and the FBI franchise.
- 8:41SPEAKER_07: Man, that's not just producing television, that's building television real estate.
- 8:46SPEAKER_07: Now, Dimbles Nation, I gotta tell you my personal favorites.
- 8:50SPEAKER_07: I love the original Law and Order, but I also really enjoyed Law and Order, Criminal Intent.
- 8:57SPEAKER_07: There was something different about that show.
- 8:59SPEAKER_07: Instead of only asking who committed the crime, criminal intent spent a lot of time getting inside the mind of the suspect.
- 9:07SPEAKER_07: And Detective Robbie Gorin, oh man, he'd get in there, he'd lean a little bit, look at you, ask you one more question, and before you knew it, even you were ready to confess, and you're just sitting on the couch watching.
- 9:23SPEAKER_07: Criminal Intent ultimately ran for 10 seasons, focusing primarily on New York's major case squad and the psychological approach of Detective Goring and his partner, the lovely detective Alexander Ames.
- 9:36SPEAKER_07: And here's what I find fascinating about Dick Wolf.
- 9:39SPEAKER_07: Millions of viewers know his shows.
- 9:42SPEAKER_07: Millions know that dun-dun sound.
- 9:44SPEAKER_07: Millions know that law and order name.
- 9:47SPEAKER_07: But how many people have ever looked at the man behind all of it and said, Oh lord, Dick Wolf has a cleft chin?
- 9:55SPEAKER_07: Well, that's why you have the Dimple Report.
- 9:59SPEAKER_07: The DDU, not SVU, the DDU, Dimple Detection Unit, notices what everybody else misses.
- 10:06SPEAKER_07: So, Dick Wolf, for creating a television universe that has entertained generations and for quietly carrying that cleft chin while doing it, the evidence has been reviewed.
- 10:16SPEAKER_07: The verdict is in.
- 10:18SPEAKER_07: And you, sir, are officially today's Dimple Spotlight.
- 10:25SPEAKER_07: Dimples Nation, grab your pen and a piece of paper.
- 10:28SPEAKER_07: You know what time it is.
- 10:31SPEAKER_07: It's trivia time.
- 10:33SPEAKER_07: We'll be right back after this commercial.
- 10:36SPEAKER_05: Cheek dimples, sweet and fine.
- 10:38SPEAKER_05: Chinzel pulled that perfect line.
- 10:41SPEAKER_05: Back dimples, ooh, they shine.
- 10:43SPEAKER_05: Every curve, every smile, divine.
- 10:45SPEAKER_05: Confidence, that's the core.
- 10:47SPEAKER_05: Style in love we give you more.
- 10:49SPEAKER_05: Flaunch your dimples there for door.
- 10:51SPEAKER_05: Check it an arm at the dimple store.
- 10:54SPEAKER_05: Every dimple, every dimple deserves the shine.
- 11:07SPEAKER_07: All right, dimples nation, it's that time.
- 11:10SPEAKER_07: It's trivia time.
- 11:28SPEAKER_07: Question number one.
- 11:30SPEAKER_07: What year did the original Lauren order premiere?
- 11:34SPEAKER_07: A.
- 11:35SPEAKER_07: 1985?
- 11:37SPEAKER_07: B.
- 11:38SPEAKER_07: 1990?
- 11:40SPEAKER_07: Or C nineteen ninety-five?
- 11:43SPEAKER_07: Lock in your answer.
- 11:50SPEAKER_07: The correct answer is the answer is B.
- 11:56SPEAKER_07: 1990.
- 11:58SPEAKER_07: Question number two.
- 11:59SPEAKER_07: Which Law and Order series featured Detective Robbie Gordon, Alex Eames, and the Major Case Squad?
- 12:07SPEAKER_07: A Law and Order, Special Victims Unit.
- 12:11SPEAKER_07: B Law and Order, Organized Crime.
- 12:15SPEAKER_07: Or C Law and Order, Criminal Intent.
- 12:25SPEAKER_07: The correct answer is And the verdict is in.
- 12:31SPEAKER_07: Criminal Int.
- 12:34SPEAKER_07: And yes.
- 12:36SPEAKER_07: That's one of my favorites.
- 12:38SPEAKER_07: Question number three.
- 12:39SPEAKER_07: The final question.
- 12:40SPEAKER_07: Before Dick Wolf became famous for creating Law and Order, which television drama was among the shows he worked on?
- 12:48SPEAKER_07: A Miami Vice?
- 12:51SPEAKER_07: B The Mod Squad.
- 12:53SPEAKER_07: Or C Mission Impossible?
- 13:01SPEAKER_07: The correct answer is.
- 13:05SPEAKER_07: The answer is A.
- 13:08SPEAKER_07: Miami Vice.
- 13:09SPEAKER_07: Were you three for three?
- 13:11SPEAKER_07: If so, then the DDU has you cleared of all charges.
- 13:15SPEAKER_07: But if you missed all three, we're gonna need you to come downtown and answer a few questions.
- 13:21SPEAKER_07: And now, every great Dimple Spotlight is this dedicated song.
- 13:27SPEAKER_07: And you know, Dimples Nation, I always give my singing group, Dimple Suave and the Dimplettes, a challenge.
- 13:36SPEAKER_07: And this week is no different since my favorite NFL team is playing Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- 13:43SPEAKER_07: And unfortunately, I can't make it due to my commitment to our 42 million subscribers.
- 13:58SPEAKER_07: There y'all go, laughing again.
- 14:02SPEAKER_07: You okay?
- 14:04SPEAKER_07: Anyway, my challenge is for Dimpo Suave and the Demplettes to sing this song for what Brazil is known for, Bostonova.
- 14:14SPEAKER_07: So, for this special dedication to Dick Wolf, Dimpo Suave, the floor is yours.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: Late night in the city.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: Another story begins.
- 14:34SPEAKER_03: A detective has a question.
- 14:36SPEAKER_03: A lawyer has a case.
- 14:39SPEAKER_03: And behind it all there's a wolf.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: And would you believe a question too?
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: There's a wolf in the city with a story to tell a mystery unfolding, and it tells it so well.
- 15:26SPEAKER_02: From the street to the corner, every witness, every clue.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: Dick Wolf built a world that keeps pulling us through.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Law and order started.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Television rise.
- 15:53SPEAKER_02: But graceful Grady noticed something hiding there inside.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: Look a little closer.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: The cleft chin couldn't hide.
- 16:13SPEAKER_02: Oh deep.
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: Law and order.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: Started changing the game.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Law and order.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: Another story to pursue.
- 16:27SPEAKER_02: Criminal intent.
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: Getting inside the mind to find out what they do.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: But the dimple reporter found another clue.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: Dig Wolf.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: We've been watching you.
- 16:51SPEAKER_04: Chico Chen, a dimple tells a story.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: Every smile, a little bit of glory.
- 17:00SPEAKER_04: National Dimples Day.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: We celebrate them all.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: And tonight Dick Wolf got the dimple spotlight call.
- 17:12SPEAKER_04: Cliff Chin.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: We found you.
- 17:36SPEAKER_04: And we brought the groove.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: The city knows your name.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Whoever changed the game.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: Still following every clue.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Still following every clue.
- 17:59SPEAKER_02: Criminal intent.
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: Getting inside the mind to what it is.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: From the courtroom to the event.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: This spotlight belongs to you.
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Jazz beneath the lights.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: A siren in the distance.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: Moving through the night.
- 18:54SPEAKER_03: Found another one.
- 19:13SPEAKER_07: That's what I'm talking about.
- 19:15SPEAKER_07: We'll be right back.
- 19:17SPEAKER_08: Hi.
- 19:18SPEAKER_08: Cute dimples.
- 19:19SPEAKER_05: Is that your best pickup line?
- 19:21SPEAKER_08: No pickup line.
- 19:23SPEAKER_08: Just complimenting your dimples.
- 19:25SPEAKER_08: Did you know July 9th is National Dimples Day?
- 19:28SPEAKER_08: Really?
- 19:28SPEAKER_08: Yeah, they have a fun site and merchandise.
- 19:31SPEAKER_08: Check it out.
- 19:32SPEAKER_08: NationalDimplesday.com.
- 19:34SPEAKER_05: Hmm.
- 19:35SPEAKER_05: NationalDimplesday.com?
- 19:37SPEAKER_05: Got it.
- 19:38SPEAKER_08: May I uh buy you a cup of coffee?
- 19:40SPEAKER_08: I feel something brewing between us.
- 19:43SPEAKER_05: Sure.
- 19:47SPEAKER_07: Welcome back, Dimples Nation.
- 19:49SPEAKER_07: That was Dimpo Suave and the Dimplettes, laying down a little boss Nova for our dimple spotlight, Dick Wolf.
- 19:58SPEAKER_07: Dimple's Nation, after spending all this time talking about law and order, police investigations, and solving cases, I don't think we're quite ready to turn in our badges.
- 20:10SPEAKER_07: Not yet.
- 20:11SPEAKER_07: Because for today's dimple drop, we're going from the streets of Dick Wolf's New York back in time to the streets of Los Angeles.
- 20:19SPEAKER_07: And if you're old enough to remember this one, you might already know where I'm going.
- 20:24SPEAKER_07: One Adam 12, 1 Adam 12.
- 20:27SPEAKER_07: Oh yeah, we're talking about Kent McCord, best known as Officer Jim Reed on the classic television series Adam 12.
- 20:36SPEAKER_07: In Dimple's Nation, Officer Reed may have been looking for trouble on the streets of Los Angeles, but the Dimple Detection Unit was looking at him.
- 20:45SPEAKER_07: And what did they find?
- 20:46SPEAKER_07: A cleft chin.
- 20:48SPEAKER_07: It's time for the dimple drop.
- 20:51unknown: Yes!
- 20:53SPEAKER_07: Calm down.
- 20:54SPEAKER_07: Ladies and gentlemen, Kent McCord became a familiar television face as Officer Jim Reed.
- 21:00SPEAKER_07: His partner was veteran Officer Pete Malloy, played by Martin Milner on Atom 12.
- 21:07SPEAKER_07: The series followed two uniformed LAPD officers answering calls and patrol in Los Angeles.
- 21:13SPEAKER_07: It ran from 1968 to 1975.
- 21:17SPEAKER_07: And here's another connection I love.
- 21:19SPEAKER_07: Atom 12 came from Jack Webb, the man behind Dragnet, and the show became one of television defining police procedurals.
- 21:27SPEAKER_07: So think about what we've done today.
- 21:30SPEAKER_07: Our dimple spotlight gave us Dick Wolf, the man behind Law and Order.
- 21:35SPEAKER_07: Our dimple drop takes us back to Kent McCord, one of the familiar faces from an earlier generation of television police dramas.
- 21:43SPEAKER_07: Different decades, different cities, different uniforms.
- 21:47SPEAKER_07: But apparently, law enforcement television has a dimple requirement nobody told us about.
- 21:52SPEAKER_07: So, Kent McCord, Officer Jim Reed, the Demple Detection Unit has reviewed the evidence.
- 21:58SPEAKER_07: Vet Clef Chen has Been detected and that urging today's dimple drop.
- 22:05SPEAKER_07: We will be right back.

- 24:53SPEAKER_09: There's a Pattern Hiding In Plain Sight.
- 24:57SPEAKER_09: The Last Three Super Bowl MVPs all had Sform of Dimple.

- 25:28SPEAKER_09: Where the Next Question Could Be Will the Next Champion have Sform of Dimples?
- 25:33SPEAKER_09: Place Your Bets.
- 25:35SPEAKER_09: Dimple Bets.
- 25:37SPEAKER_09: Coming Soon.
- 25:40SPEAKER_07: Welcome back, Dimples Nation.
- 25:42SPEAKER_07: Now I just Noticed Something Aw.
- 25:44SPEAKER_07: We Started Our Headlines with the Ladies.
- 25:47SPEAKER_07: Lisa Leslie, Olivia Miles, and Melissa McCarthy.
- 25:51SPEAKER_07: Then the Gentleman took Over.
- 25:53SPEAKER_07: Dick Whoop stepped into our Dimple Spotlight.
- 25:56SPEAKER_07: Kit McCord answered the call for our dimple drop.
- 25:59SPEAKER_07: So I think it's only fair we turn things back over to the ladies.
- 26:04SPEAKER_07: And this time, they're bringing a little magic.
- 26:08SPEAKER_07: This week, my suggestion for film and TV Demplified.
- 26:23SPEAKER_07: It's Practical Magic 2, which brings Sanjay Bullock and Nicole Kidman back together 28 years after the original Practical Magic.
- 26:33SPEAKER_07: And wouldn't you know it?
- 26:35SPEAKER_07: We got ourselves a double dimple alert.
- 26:38SPEAKER_07: Sanjay Bullock, left chin.
- 26:40SPEAKER_07: Nicole Kidman, back dimples, also known as the Dimples of Venus.
- 26:46SPEAKER_07: Practical Magic 2 brings the Owen sisters back into a world of witches, family, sisterhood, and that troublesome family curse.
- 26:55SPEAKER_07: And I think this one fits today's episode perfectly.
- 26:58SPEAKER_07: We had police investigations, courtrooms, the dimple detection unit, and now we've got witches.
- 27:04SPEAKER_07: So, for Sandra Bullock's cleft chin, Nicole Kidman's Dimples of Venus, and the Little Movie Magic, Practical Magic 2 gets this week's Film and TV Dimplified.

- 28:29SPEAKER_07: The man just made some serious NFL history.
- 28:33SPEAKER_07: Against Miami, McCaffrey scored not one, but two rushing touchdowns, giving him 100 total touchdowns for his career.
- 28:41SPEAKER_07: He reached 100 in just 114 games, making him the fourth fastest player to reach that mark since 1966.
- 28:51SPEAKER_07: Those two touchdowns also gave McCaffrey exactly 50 touchdowns as a San Francisco 49er.
- 28:58SPEAKER_07: And get this, he scored exactly 50 touchdowns with the Carl on the Panthers too.
- 29:04SPEAKER_07: That's 50 with Carolina, 50 with San Francisco, and 100 altogether.
- 29:09SPEAKER_07: That makes Christian McCaffrey only the third player since 1966 to score at least 50 touchdowns for two different NFL teams, joining Hall of Famous Randy Moss and Marshall Falk.
- 29:23SPEAKER_07: Now, that's what I call a dimpled double.
