- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you'll be listening to a hypnosis session created
- 0:47for a client that really wanted to meet the human need of
- 0:54connection in a more real way than perhaps they've met that
- 1:00connection in the past. And a lot of people will seek
- 1:05out substitutes not because they want that thing, but because
- 1:13it's just easier or more predictably, or it feels safer
- 1:17than what the real thing. Would be or it's just.
- 1:20The real thing isn't available and they're they're making do
- 1:24with whatever they can find. And I remember seeing a
- 1:26documentary. I think it.
- 1:28Was a. David Attenborough documentary
- 1:29about the Antarctic and. You would have.
- 1:33These mother Penguins sitting on an egg, but there's very harsh
- 1:38winds and storms there in the Antarctic.
- 1:41And if the egg broke, then quite often they would find a stone
- 1:44that looks like an egg because it was so hard wired for them to
- 1:48kind of nurture and protect this egg that they would find a
- 1:51substitute. Even though of course, the
- 1:54stone, the Pebble would never hatch.
- 1:57But it was just kind of a substitute for the real thing.
- 2:01And this client was using porn as a substitute for real
- 2:07relationships, real human connection, which is widely
- 2:10available, quite often free, very kind of emotionally safe.
- 2:14You can never be rejected by porn, but at the cost, and there
- 2:19is an opportunity cost of using porn as a vehicle, and that is
- 2:22that it deprives you of forming the same quality of real
- 2:27relationships. And when we dug into the key
- 2:31thing getting in the way, it was this kind of fear of rejection,
- 2:34this fear of emotionally emotional pain by being rejected
- 2:40from someone that they liked. So what you can hear in this
- 2:43hypnosis session is a way of framing rejection as almost kind
- 2:50of like irrelevant. It's all about compatibility and
- 2:56this element of synergy and chemistry, not as if someone
- 3:01likes you or doesn't like you because you can't possibly know
- 3:03the variables going on in someone else's world.
- 3:08And it might not be that you're not being rejected.
- 3:09It might just be that they they're not ready for a
- 3:12relationship or they're not their heads, not in the right
- 3:15space, or they've got a type and that type isn't you.
- 3:18That's not rejection, that's compatibility in chemistry.
- 3:21So there's a lot of that going on, but also future pacing.
- 3:25So disassociation they get to. See themselves doing.
- 3:30What they would want to do, and that might be, you know,
- 3:33flirting with someone, chatting with someone, making a
- 3:36connection, following up, arranging a date, originally
- 3:39disassociated, but then associated.
- 3:42And that tends to be a good way to kind of access resource dates
- 3:45because if they already had the resources, they'd already be
- 3:48associated into them. And clearly they're not at this
- 3:51particular point. So there's an element of
- 3:54identifying the resource state and then harnessing that, but
- 3:58also framing rejection as something that is of low
- 4:03importance has very little significance.
- 4:07And the more important thing is that each time they interact
- 4:11with someone that they like. They're increasing their.
- 4:13Probability of finding a real connection, a real relationship,
- 4:18something real rather than this substitute.
- 4:21If you're listening to this and you have a fear of rejection,
- 4:24whether or not you have, you know, a lot of consumption of
- 4:28porn or not, that's almost immaterial.
- 4:29The key thing here is about emotional rejection.
- 4:33You probably will get some value from this session, but equally
- 4:36it was created for a specific individual.
- 4:39So if you like the idea of working on that area of your
- 4:43life with me directly, click the link in the show note, schedule
- 4:46the consultation call, we'll have a chat and maybe we end up
- 4:49working together. For now though, you might get
- 4:52value from this session itself. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 4:56place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:58Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 5:27you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath, and
- 5:33as you exhale, feel a release of tension leaving your body and
- 5:38allow your eyes to close. That's it.
- 5:44Then, as you breathe in, breathe in slightly deeper than the
- 5:49previous breath, breathing in a sense of resourceful relaxation
- 5:56and releasing any stress, tension, or anxiety in that
- 6:02outward breath. As you breathe in and breathe
- 6:08out, start to scan your body for any clues of tension, anxiety,
- 6:17any worries. Imagine them melting away and
- 6:27just feel that leave your body in your outward breath, only to
- 6:42use the power of your imagination to imagine a lake,
- 6:49maybe a lake that you've walked around.
- 6:55Just breathe in and breathe out. Imagine that lake on a sunny
- 7:01day. Imagine a breeze.
- 7:09I want you to get that connection with nature, that
- 7:13feeling of relaxation, and I want you to use the power of
- 7:25your imagination to imagine the edge of the lake at a particular
- 7:34location and just imagine seeing the lake still.
- 7:43You've seen the lake on windy days where it has waves and
- 7:47movement, but just imagine it absolutely still, and just
- 7:54imagine freezing time so that the lake becomes solid.
- 8:06Just imagine walking out on the surface of the lake, seeing this
- 8:12area from a new perspective. Standing on the surface of a
- 8:18lake, feel a stillness in the air, a quietness, and use the
- 8:31power of your imagination to imagine a door floating in the
- 8:36middle of the lake. This door will lead down to a
- 8:41staircase into your own private cinema.
- 8:47Imagine standing in front of that door, hovering on the
- 8:50surface of a still lake. As I count down from 5 to one,
- 8:56you will imagine opening the door.
- 8:59I'm walking through the door 5. Just putting your hand on the
- 9:04handle 4. Turning the handle 3.
- 9:07Opening the door 2. Walking through the door and one
- 9:13closing the door behind you and finding that you're no longer on
- 9:19the surface of a lake, you're at the top of a staircase that
- 9:23leads down to your own private cinema.
- 9:29I'm going to countdown from 5:00 to 1:00 and just imagine walking
- 9:31down the staircase, but with each descending step, feel that
- 9:36you're going deeper and deeper, relaxed to a place in your deep
- 9:41unconscious mind 5. Taking that first step, just
- 9:48feeling a wave of relaxation, particularly around your head,
- 9:53your jaw, 4 now your neck and shoulders just releasing any
- 9:58tension. Another step down the staircase,
- 10:023, feeling your arms feel limp, loose and heavy.
- 10:08And two, all of your internal organs release any tension.
- 10:12Your lungs, your heart, your stomach, your gut, all releasing
- 10:16tension. And then one feel your legs now,
- 10:21like your arms, like the limbs of a puppet with no strings,
- 10:25just limp and loose and relaxed as you find yourself at the
- 10:30bottom of a staircase in front of your own private cinema.
- 10:38Imagine taking a seat, perhaps a cinema chair, but it could be a
- 10:43comfortable sofa because this is your own private cinema.
- 10:50And I want you to imagine sitting down with a remote
- 10:55control that controls this huge cinema screen.
- 10:58And I want you to imagine seeing someone that looks just like you
- 11:09but with a complete immunity to rejection and that moment in
- 11:17your life where your confidence has been at its highest.
- 11:22See that version of you with that level of confidence at your
- 11:27lowest, you are immune from rejection and with a new found
- 11:35level of self-confidence. And imagine seeing yourself like
- 11:42an actor on the screen. All of the energy, time, and
- 11:50emotion that used to be invested into an unproductive activity is
- 11:57now deployed to find real human connection, real interactions,
- 12:06real conversations, real meetings.
- 12:13I want you to see that version of you in a place where you
- 12:20might meet someone, but see yourself with that level of
- 12:27confidence, immune to rejection. See yourself perhaps in a
- 12:35environment where people are there.
- 12:37I don't want you to see yourself making eye contact with someone
- 12:45then you feel some kind of physical or emotional attraction
- 12:52too, but just observe it and see that version of you smiling,
- 12:59making eye contact, doing nothing until there is some form
- 13:06of invitation. And you know what an invitation
- 13:12is? Eye contact with a smile that
- 13:17says talk to me. And if you can see that version
- 13:23of you on that screen knowing what that invitation is, let me
- 13:31know by nodding your head. But just imagine in the inner
- 13:40dialogue of that version of you has already made an evaluation
- 13:45of two or three genuine things that they like about that
- 13:49person. They've already rehearsed it in
- 13:57their head. Authentic, genuine compliments
- 14:03to see that version of you approach that person just with
- 14:10an introduction, just with a question or two.
- 14:21See it looking a relaxed interaction, No nervousness, no
- 14:29anxiety, just a confident conversation that almost has
- 14:37this kind of vibe that these two people you're seeing on screen
- 14:42already know each other, even if they're interacting for the very
- 14:48first time. See that interaction and then
- 15:04perhaps you can imagine a compliment is being given, or
- 15:13perhaps a question about if they're on social media or if
- 15:19they have a number. See that version of you saying
- 15:32goodbye? And then imagine observing that
- 15:40version of you, maybe a day or two later, following up on a
- 15:49message just saying it was nice to meet that person.
- 15:58No request for a date, no cheesy or sleazy compliments.
- 16:09I want you to see you. Interacting with this.
- 16:12Person online being curious, complimentary, real, authentic,
- 16:21and at the point where you see that version of you find some
- 16:27form of connection, imagine that version of you is asking them
- 16:35out, maybe for a cup of coffee. Some.
- 16:41Kind of interaction in a public place, and then skip forward
- 16:51through time and see that the date that isn't a date.
- 16:57Consider that first interaction just a more thorough form of
- 17:04getting to know someone. Consider this a shot to nothing.
- 17:15This is just reconnaissance. See that version of you
- 17:20confidently smiling and interacting?
- 17:24Confidently getting. To know that person, this is all
- 17:30about figuring out if there is compatibility and chemistry.
- 17:36No success, no failure, no rejection, just compatibility
- 17:45with this idea that you may or may not be compatible and then
- 17:50may or may not be chemistry. But if there's both, imagine
- 17:56seeing yourself at the end of that short 30 minute, 40 minute
- 18:04interaction asking if maybe they'd like to see you again.
- 18:18I want you to see that it doesn't matter what happens.
- 18:23If they kind of brush it off and say, well, I'm not sure, see
- 18:27yourself looking unfazed. And if they do indicate that
- 18:32they would like to meet again, see yourself with the sense of
- 18:45positive expectation that that's exactly what would have been
- 18:47said. This is all about two way
- 18:54compatibility, two way chemistry.
- 18:59No rejection, just information. I want you to imagine rewinding
- 19:06it all and stepping into that version of you on the screen
- 19:12that feels confident, immune to rejection.
- 19:17Imagine seeing that person that you like, physical or emotional
- 19:21attraction, but this time feel your mouth and your face change
- 19:30as you imagine smiling at them, making eye contact with them,
- 19:36waiting for some kind of clue, an invitation.
- 19:41When they give you the invitation, imagine approaching
- 19:45them, already knowing something about them that you've noticed,
- 19:52something complimentary. Imagine introducing yourself to
- 19:56them. I want you to imagine just a
- 20:04short interaction, two or three minutes, ending with a request,
- 20:12maybe 4 if they're online, if you can drop them a message.
- 20:24Or maybe just creating an open loop where it would feel easier
- 20:32to talk to them the next time because you would no longer be
- 20:34strangers. Imagine day or two passes.
- 20:41Imagine reaching out to them on a message.
- 20:46No requests for a day, just getting to know them better,
- 20:53figuring out early ideas of compatibility and if you feel
- 21:03there is a connection there, Imagine maybe sending them a
- 21:07voice note or asking them if they'd like to meet for coffee.
- 21:17Imagine a positive response, but you could also imagine they
- 21:24decline it and you feel unfazed, unbothered, whatever happens,
- 21:33it's just information. But imagine then something is
- 21:38agreed. Imagine meeting them in that
- 21:40first person perspective. Feel like you're in your own
- 21:42body. It's just reconnaissance.
- 21:47Feel confident, at ease, be curious, complementary, feeling
- 21:59that you're wondering if there will be that compatibility.
- 22:09You're wondering if there will be that chemistry.
- 22:11Not expecting it, just open to it.
- 22:13And if it feels like there is, just imagine testing the water
- 22:21to see if they'd be interested in meeting again sometime.
- 22:26They do That's fine. If they don't, that's fine.
- 22:29It's all fine. I want you to feel like each
- 22:34interaction is buying a lottery ticket to the possibility of an
- 22:42interesting experience or the possibility of a future
- 22:45relationship. But nobody buys a lottery ticket
- 22:50with an expectation that they will win.
- 22:55Nobody feels rejected by the lottery if they buy a lottery
- 22:59ticket and don't win. The premise is then you increase
- 23:05the probability by doing something.
- 23:09Feel that you are increasing your probability exponentially
- 23:20with any interaction, any message, any smile, any eye
- 23:25contact, a face to face meeting, any voice.
- 23:33Note any of these real things. Exponentially increases the
- 23:40probability of real experiences happening.
- 23:46But feel immune to rejection. It's just compatibility, and you
- 23:56wouldn't want any kind of interaction with someone that
- 24:07didn't feel that compatibility existed.
- 24:12Time is your scarce resource. Either things go the way that
- 24:18you want or you learn something valuable from them.
- 24:22No rejection, just wisdom, experiences, things to laugh and
- 24:26smile about. If it feels like this feels more
- 24:34appealing than risk free but synthetic experiences, let me
- 24:42know by nodding your head. That's it.
- 24:51So just imagine leaving that cinema, climbing up the stairs,
- 24:57opening a door, finding yourself back on a still lake, frozen in
- 25:01time, walking back to the shore, but feeling a willingness.
- 25:10A willingness to take some risks, knowing that everything
- 25:15will be OK. And as you hold on to that for
- 25:23what? Take a deep breath in through
- 25:24your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:28Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 25:30Connect fully into the here and now as I count from 1:00 to
- 25:3410:00 to awaken you. You will awaken feeling
- 25:37resourceful, confident, a willingness to do one or two
- 25:44things that are slightly outside of your previous comfort zone,
- 25:50knowing that whatever happens, you're exponentially better off
- 25:56than if you had never tried. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 26:03456. More alert 7-8.
- 26:07Open your eyes. Open your eyes. 910.
- 26:09Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
