- 0:01Speaker 1: I know one movie that is a blockbuster. Thank you.
- 0:05Speaker 1: It means so much to you that you almost hesitate
- 0:08Speaker 1: to head down this road. No spoilers, no nothing.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Nope.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It is called You Can See Everything. It is not
- 0:15Speaker 1: only one of the most amazing documentaries ever, apparently. But
- 0:18Speaker 1: is it three hours? I mean, is it every bit
- 0:22Speaker 1: of that? It's pretty long, but it doesn't feel it.
- 0:25Speaker 1: This is a movie that blew my mind.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Right now it has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes
- 0:31Speaker 2: and all these different data sites. It's one of the
- 0:34Speaker 2: best reviewed movies of all time. They're talking about this
- 0:38Speaker 2: possibly becoming best picture material. A documentary has never won
- 0:43Speaker 2: best picture in the Academy Awards. Not that I care
- 0:47Speaker 2: all that much about the Academy Awards, but I care
- 0:49Speaker 2: about this movie.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Wow.
- 0:52Speaker 2: I get your butt. You and Lisa get to the theater.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We're going to do it. We may do it this week.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's great. It follows– first people go, what's this? What
- 1:00Speaker 1: are you talking about? Elizabeth Holmes was the founder of
- 1:03Speaker 1: this defunct health technology company called Theranos, right? And their
- 1:07Speaker 1: company and she and the company made all kinds of
- 1:09Speaker 1: fraudulent claims about some blood testing technology that they had
- 1:13Speaker 1: apparently perfected. So it's OK. How does this become so big?
- 1:17Speaker 1: This documentary guy, Nathan Fielder, winds up and all I
- 1:22Speaker 1: know is he shoehorns himself into her life. She's convicted.
- 1:25Speaker 1: They give her like a month before you got to
- 1:27Speaker 1: show up for federal prison. And does he live in
- 1:31Speaker 1: her house with her and her boyfriend?
- 1:33Speaker 2: She eventually invites the crew in to live with them.
- 1:39Speaker 2: They become kind of weirdly, oddly friends. It's like, first
- 1:44Speaker 2: of all, I'm not going to give much away. I understand.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I got a lot of stuff I want to get
- 1:48Speaker 2: to with you because I can't wait to pick your
- 1:50Speaker 2: brain about France. Ready. The midterms, early voting, all that stuff.
- 1:54Speaker 2: But I'll say this. It's a documentary that is shot
- 1:58Speaker 2: like a cinematic masterpiece. OK, that's part of it. So
- 2:02Speaker 2: you've got a film crew. It's not you know, we're
- 2:04Speaker 2: used to document. And incidentally, this is going to change
- 2:06Speaker 2: the genre of documentaries because most documentaries are filmed. Like
- 2:11Speaker 2: the Blair Witch Project, you know, with.
- 2:13Speaker 1: The low budget.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Quick edits. Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Jump cuts and all that. That's the way documentaries
- 2:20Speaker 2: we kind of come to accept.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Not this one.
- 2:23Speaker 2: He had a film crew. And incidentally, I'm intrigued by
- 2:26Speaker 2: this Nathan Fielder. He's not a documentary filmmaker. He's a comic.
- 2:30Speaker 1: That's what I heard. He's a satirist by trade. And
- 2:33Speaker 1: I don't even know how he even wind up doing this.
- 2:36Speaker 2: And that comes through in the movie because the audience
- 2:40Speaker 2: and the theater was packed Sunday night. I mean, people
- 2:44Speaker 2: are hearing about this movie. And the laughter comes in uncomfortable,
- 2:48Speaker 2: awkward places largely because of him. But he's not– I
- 2:52Speaker 2: don't think he's trying to even be funny because he's
- 2:54Speaker 2: trying to understand the psychosis of it. of this woman,
- 2:59Speaker 2: the narcissism of this man, Billy, the Svengali kind of character.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And you're left with wondering, is the whole thing an
- 3:08Speaker 2: act on her part? Or is she this devious, shrewd,
- 3:12Speaker 2: lying scoundrel? It's just as fascinating a movie as you'll
- 3:16Speaker 2: ever see. And I'll wait. Prediction, Mark will hate it.
- 3:20Speaker 2: For some reason, since everybody, I love it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: That's a you thing. I come at you with movies
- 3:26Speaker 1: like Castaway, movies like Project Hail Mary, shows like Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,
- 3:32Speaker 1: things that are in your– that one is in your
- 3:34Speaker 1: wheelhouse and you crap all over them. I don't tend
- 3:37Speaker 1: to do the same to you.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I know. I know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Your fat's fair. That's fair. Well, tell me what you think.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Tell me what you think. I promise I will. We'll
- 3:44Speaker 1: do it this week. And it's weird because my buddy
- 3:47Speaker 1: Arnold Evans at Fox 4 said he went to Plano
- 3:51Speaker 1: and was so desperate to see the movie, all the
- 3:54Speaker 1: seats were taken except for front row. It was a
- 3:57Speaker 1: big theater, big screen, front row, which is just an
- 4:00Speaker 1: invitation to neck injury. And he did it anyway. And
- 4:02Speaker 1: he said, I'm glad I did because it was just incomparable. Again,
- 4:06Speaker 1: it is called You Can See Everything. documentary out now
- 4:09Speaker 1: and life-changing apparently so okay.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Okay there's some lives being changed in France right now
- 4:15Speaker 2: and I like what Brandon Gill wrote about this and
- 4:18Speaker 2: this is important because the mainstream media is terrified of
- 4:22Speaker 2: what's happening in France our mainstream media Because there's one
- 4:26Speaker 2: political ideology driving it. And they're doing everything from– first
- 4:30Speaker 2: of all, CBS reported it initially as a group of scuffles.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Scuffles. Mostly peaceful scuffles. Yeah, yeah.
- 4:38Speaker 2: The fire– ignore this fire over here. These are mostly
- 4:41Speaker 2: peaceful fires that are burning down this historic– what is it?
- 4:45Speaker 2: The Limogees Town Hall, been around for 150 years. They
- 4:49Speaker 2: burned that to the ground. Of course, it's violent. There
- 4:51Speaker 2: was pictures of an elderly couple stripped almost naked, left
- 4:56Speaker 2: to be humiliated in the street. Eighty-year-old couple, and they
- 4:59Speaker 2: were robbed and stripped, and then pictures taken of them
- 5:02Speaker 2: in the street. Because, by the way, that's part of
- 5:04Speaker 2: the radical Muslim Islamic extremist game plan. You humiliate the infidel.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You don't just, you know, hurt or kill them. You
- 5:13Speaker 2: humiliate them as well. And so, anyway, Brandon Gill wrote,
- 5:17Speaker 2: What's happening in France is the progressive political agenda at
- 5:21Speaker 2: its natural conclusion. When you build a massive welfare state
- 5:26Speaker 2: while increasing your population through third world migration, it isn't
- 5:31Speaker 2: long before basic social order collapses. Isn't that brilliant?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Because that's what's happening.
- 5:36Speaker 2: 100%.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Because it's a time machine. And listen, I'm not going
- 5:40Speaker 1: to sit here and I don't think you are either
- 5:41Speaker 1: that says what you see on the streets of Paris
- 5:43Speaker 1: is Is America 10 years from now?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Baloney.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Don't say that. It could be. Exactly.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Oh, yes, it could be. You don't think that. First
- 5:52Speaker 2: of all, we did see it during the Summer of Love.
- 5:54Speaker 2: We did see this happen in the George Floyd riots.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And Laura Ingraham pointed it out over the weekend because
- 6:00Speaker 2: they were prepared in France. They had the addresses of
- 6:03Speaker 2: town halls. Mark, they targeted synagogues, Jewish synagogues. They had
- 6:08Speaker 2: addresses of Jewish shop owners. And Laura Ingram, doggone it,
- 6:12Speaker 2: don't get squishy on me, my friend. Laura said, if
- 6:14Speaker 2: you don't think this could happen here, you're not paying attention.
- 6:17Speaker 2: It could happen here, Mark.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You jumped on me. I said, neither of us is
- 6:20Speaker 1: saying that it's going to. We are saying that it could,
- 6:24Speaker 1: that we are still at the point where we can— and
- 6:27Speaker 1: this election— In 15 days is an opportunity to strike
- 6:32Speaker 1: a blow, draw a line in the sand against the
- 6:35Speaker 1: advance of the ideology that will open the door and
- 6:38Speaker 1: welcome this in if we let it. So pardon me
- 6:40Speaker 1: for not phrasing that. No, no, you're right. Skillfully or
- 6:43Speaker 1: quickly enough.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And make no mistake, this is on the ballot in
- 6:47Speaker 2: 15 days. In every district.
- 6:49Speaker 1: In the middle of Utah. In a rural district anywhere.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It's how much power are the... And I don't mean
- 6:57Speaker 1: that every Democrat is going to do this or side
- 7:00Speaker 1: with it, but they'll be part of the power structure
- 7:03Speaker 1: that does.
- 7:05Speaker 2: And if you think it's just a couple of conservative
- 7:08Speaker 2: hosts claiming that we're just ginning this up, listen to
- 7:13Speaker 2: their words, Ro Khanna. Ro Khanna posted on social media.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Over the weekend. California Democrat.
- 7:19Speaker 2: California Congressman, Democrat, darling of some of our colleagues, sadly.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I wonder if he'll go on Hewitt today to say
- 7:27Speaker 2: this crap. Here's what he wrote. From the high schools
- 7:31Speaker 2: of France to the streets of Madrid, young people are
- 7:36Speaker 2: telling their governments the same thing. They want a future
- 7:39Speaker 2: they can believe in. In France... Students and teachers are
- 7:43Speaker 2: asking for safe schools, enough teachers in smaller classes. Listen
- 7:47Speaker 2: to the young people, Mark.
- 7:49Speaker 1: We have to hear their voices. And did you see
- 7:51Speaker 1: the address by Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, who
- 7:56Speaker 1: tried to say two things at the same time. He
- 7:58Speaker 1: tried to say, well, we can't tolerate this unrest. But
- 8:01Speaker 1: then he caved to the unrest, saying these young people,
- 8:05Speaker 1: they fear for their future. We must hear their voices.
- 8:07Speaker 1: First of all, of course, you listen to the voices
- 8:09Speaker 1: of young people in America. We should listen to the
- 8:11Speaker 1: voices of young people. Not when they're setting crap on fire.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Not when they are rioting. This has nothing to do
- 8:16Speaker 1: with schools. This is the communist, socialist, Islamist, red-green alliance
- 8:22Speaker 1: thing happening on the streets of Europe.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Mark, I mean, look at the Hermes store and the
- 8:27Speaker 2: Louis Vuitton.
- 8:28Speaker 1: They looted that.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They were just looking for better textbooks. That's all they
- 8:31Speaker 2: were doing. They were just looking for better books. I mean,
- 8:35Speaker 2: they just need better— and by the way, not like France
- 8:38Speaker 2: doesn't give the farm away in that socialist state. I mean,
- 8:43Speaker 2: it's the highest welfare state in the world. They're already— but that's,
- 8:48Speaker 2: of course, part of the entitlement that gets fed into it,
- 8:50Speaker 2: but it's not about— Young people looking for better— What
- 8:54Speaker 2: are all those Palestinian flags, Ro Khanna? Yeah, thank you. Yeah,
- 8:58Speaker 2: those are the young people looking for better teachers and
- 9:01Speaker 2: a better quality of— Give me a— Shut up with
- 9:04Speaker 2: the stupid— But they've got to try to deflect. They've
- 9:08Speaker 2: got to lie. This feels spiritual. I say it every day.
- 9:12Speaker 2: It's why I pray every day thanks to you. I
- 9:14Speaker 2: pray every day. Good is on the ballot in 15 days.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Good versus evil. Good versus evil. Tell me you saw
- 9:22Speaker 2: the video of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ecuador.
- 9:28Speaker 2: A Catholic priest who is at— he is standing on the
- 9:35Speaker 2: altar giving a sermon. And Mark, he says, look, we
- 9:41Speaker 2: could all die at any minute now.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Life is brief.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Life is brief. He said from the pulpit— One day
- 9:51Speaker 2: all of us here will also die, and sometimes the
- 9:54Speaker 2: time we've spent on things doesn't have as much meaning
- 9:57Speaker 2: as the time we spend with God.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Moments later, this giant cross that's on the wall behind
- 10:05Speaker 2: him comes crashing down on top of him and kills him.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Father Patricio Alfredo Sanchez Molinari in Guayaquil, Ecuador, at the
- 10:15Speaker 1: Church of Perpetual Relief, And there's video of it. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: don't think it should have been posted. I mean, it's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a free country in a free world, but I objected
- 10:24Speaker 1: horribly to the actual video.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Mark, a priest stands in the sanctuary and says, our
- 10:32Speaker 2: life here is brief. One day we will all die.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And the cross comes down and clobbers him and kills him. Yep. Mark.
- 10:40Speaker 2: All right. So let's just, I mean, we're into real
- 10:44Speaker 2: dicey waters here, but let's tackle this. First of all,
- 10:48Speaker 2: it strikes me as exorcist stuff. I mean, that's like
- 10:50Speaker 2: devil stuff. That's like the little girl spinning around, spitting
- 10:55Speaker 2: up the pea soup, I mean, and floating around over
- 10:57Speaker 2: the bed. Or it's God saying, you know what, good
- 11:02Speaker 2: and faithful servant? Father Molinari, I'm going to use you
- 11:06Speaker 2: as an example. You just delivered the most important message
- 11:09Speaker 2: of all.
- 11:11Speaker 1: And you and I are talking about it because that happened.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That's right. It's just a guy in Ecuador delivering one
- 11:17Speaker 1: of a million sermons, but with.
- 11:19Speaker 2: The video, the gruesome video, and you're right, it's sad
- 11:22Speaker 2: that it's out there, but it's been viewed like 10
- 11:24Speaker 2: million times.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Of course it is.
- 11:26Speaker 2: It's gone all over the world. And look, I'm a
- 11:30Speaker 2: little philosophical over this story. You got this diagnosis that
- 11:34Speaker 2: I got. Now I've got heart disease. Okay. I'm living
- 11:36Speaker 2: with it. I'm fixing it. I had my nice big
- 11:38Speaker 2: smoothie shake this morning with my protein and I'm living differently.
- 11:43Speaker 2: But you think about it.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:44Speaker 2: God may call me home any minute now. Maybe this
- 11:48Speaker 2: plaque's going to rupture and it's over. Am I doing
- 11:51Speaker 2: everything I can while I'm here? Am I living with
- 11:54Speaker 2: God now? Am I being his good and faithful servant,
- 11:59Speaker 2: a steward of God's message of Christ's redemption? That's important
- 12:04Speaker 2: right now. And I don't know, God has a funny
- 12:07Speaker 2: way of getting our attention, doesn't he?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Yes, and this did. I thought it was AI.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Didn't you think it was AI when you first saw it?
- 12:13Speaker 1: I thought there's no way in the world this could
- 12:15Speaker 1: be real, but it absolutely is. Wow. And so there
- 12:19Speaker 1: are divine theories. I wondered, being Ecuador, I wondered if
- 12:24Speaker 1: this particular priest was a local rabble rouser for social
- 12:28Speaker 1: justice or something. I mean, in good ways. And I
- 12:31Speaker 1: wonder if somebody's going to unscrew that thing and plan
- 12:35Speaker 1: to silence him in that way.
- 12:37Speaker 2: I don't know. That's like right out of a movie.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Speaking of movies. But, hey, keep God in your hearts.
- 12:42Speaker 2: And like you said, and I'm with you, Mark. Look,
- 12:45Speaker 2: I don't love early voting. I wish that we would
- 12:47Speaker 2: have lines around the block on November 3rd. But you
- 12:51Speaker 2: know what?
- 12:51Speaker 1: It's not.
- 12:52Speaker 2: It's not the world we're in.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It's here. It's here.
- 12:55Speaker 2: So you explore every path it takes for you to vote.
- 12:59Speaker 2: The only concern I'd have is, you know, if you
- 13:02Speaker 2: wait till Election Day and maybe you get the flu,
- 13:06Speaker 2: maybe the weather's bad.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Break your leg on November. 2nd. You're right.
- 13:09Speaker 2: You might have a family emergency. So vote. Just get
- 13:12Speaker 2: out and vote. If we show up, we win. And
- 13:17Speaker 2: I like our chances. So just don't give up. And
- 13:20Speaker 2: I love you. And hey, Eminem Extra, I have a
- 13:23Speaker 2: feeling today's going to get kind of wild because I
- 13:25Speaker 2: want to go nuts on the cross.
- 13:28Speaker 1: I want to talk about the movie.
