Landscaping

Anything described as External, is often a major part of a landscaping plan, how the sun, wind, rain and any aspect of the weather may be an influence on the way a building survives. Laying out the external area of the land surrounding the building is often left to a landscaper to devised and implement, but it is so much a part of the design, I often think more care should be taken to laying out walkways, access points, levels around the building, and a major point, drainage of surface water away from the building, not to be wasted, but channelled to a pond or stream.
