- 0:00Imaginary friends are generally considered to be a normal part
- 0:04of childhood development for some.
- 0:07But what would you do if your child's imaginary friend turned
- 0:11out to be much more than just imagination?
- 0:15When a woman notices that her son is speaking with a friend
- 0:19who she thinks doesn't exist, she dismisses it at first.
- 0:25However, this so-called friend would turn out to be anything
- 0:30but as an abhorrent force turns their lives upside down.
- 0:35Will they escape with their souls intact, or will the entity
- 0:41consume them? I will warn you, as with many
- 0:45cases I've covered on this channel, to not watch this alone
- 0:50or in the dark unless you like a challenge, because this case is
- 0:55certainly no exception. Kentucky, a bastion of American
- 1:02beauty, wild and free on the surface, also harbors darkness.
- 1:10Home to the Mammoth Cave system, known to be the longest in the
- 1:14world, one can truly get lost inside its winding caverns and
- 1:20crevices. Kentucky contains many tales of
- 1:24legends, folklore, and hauntings.
- 1:29With caves older than bone beneath it and numerous battles
- 1:33fought on its surface, among other happenings.
- 1:37It's no surprise that this southern state holds such
- 1:41secrets. Our story begins in Western
- 1:44Kentucky with the Foster family, Jan, Dale, their five year old
- 1:51son Cody, and 16 year old daughter Pamela.
- 1:56Jan is a carrier for the US Postal Service and Dale is a
- 2:00contractor. Up until this point, the Fosters
- 2:03have been a relatively normal American family, but this would
- 2:08soon change. A nanny often stays with their
- 2:12son while the two parents work during the day and tends to
- 2:17leave when one of the parents gets home from work for the day.
- 2:21One evening, the nanny asks for a word with Jan, with the two
- 2:26stepping off into the hallway for a more private word
- 2:30together. The nanny tells her that Cody
- 2:33has been using some very bad language and that she's
- 2:37concerned about his behavior. Jan is shocked to hear this
- 2:41because they've always considered themselves a fairly
- 2:44strict family on what can and can't be said in their house, so
- 2:49she's not sure where the boy would have heard such language.
- 2:53Alongside the curse words, Cody has been incredibly defiant,
- 2:58extremely rude, and angry towards the nanny.
- 3:03He has also been speaking with someone who isn't there.
- 3:07After assuring the nanny that Cody was not exposed to this
- 3:11kind of behavior in their home, Jan then said she would correct
- 3:15his behavior and apologized for these very unexpected
- 3:19happenings. Several hours later, as she
- 3:23tucks her son into bed for the night, she asked him to tell her
- 3:27about his new friend. Cody tells his mother that his
- 3:31friend's name is Man, Thinking this was strange and asking him
- 3:36why doesn't his friend have a real name like John or George.
- 3:42She is quickly corrected by her son that it is simply Man.
- 3:48Finding this bizarre, but believing this to be somewhat
- 3:52normal, that her son is simply using his active imagination to
- 3:57create a friend who didn't really exist, she thinks nothing
- 4:01of it. However, in later interviews she
- 4:05would have this to say. I didn't realize it then, but
- 4:10this was a massive warning sign and it's one I shouldn't have
- 4:15ignored. Shortly after putting her son to
- 4:18bed and laying down herself, Jan is woken up by the sound of
- 4:24thumping from across the hall. Stepping out into the hallway to
- 4:29examine just what this could be, she then hears the laughter of
- 4:34her son. Believing he's just playing and
- 4:38very tired herself, she asks him to please stop through his door
- 4:44and to go back to bed. She then heads back to her own
- 4:48bedroom once again after the laughter ceases.
- 4:53Several hours later, in another bedroom down the hall, 16 year
- 4:57old Pamela is woken up out of a sound sleep herself, but by
- 5:02something very different. Feeling as if she was being
- 5:05watched, she begins to hear scratching originating from
- 5:10underneath her bed. Perplexed, she rolls out of bed
- 5:15to look underneath it and quickly she comes face to face
- 5:21with nothing. The scratching then begins to
- 5:24move as if it's under the floorboards.
- 5:28It moves from underneath the bed, through the floor and then
- 5:32up into the wall closest to her bedroom door.
- 5:36The poor teen has never experienced anything like this
- 5:39before. As the sounds continue, she
- 5:43quickly, yet cautiously makes her way out of her bedroom and
- 5:48into her parents room. She would later describe the
- 5:52scratching sounds like someone taking their fingernails and
- 5:56with all of their strength, grating them against the various
- 6:00surfaces. As the sound moved, Jan is
- 6:05startled awake as she sees a blackened figure standing over
- 6:09her. It's Pamela telling her mother
- 6:13that she's scared. Jan, then thinking she must have
- 6:16had a nightmare, brings her into the bed to quell her fear.
- 6:22Although this night was strange to say the least, it's nothing
- 6:26compared to what's coming the following morning.
- 6:30As Jan wakes up and begins getting ready for the day, she
- 6:35steps into the shower and begins washing herself.
- 6:39Several minutes into her shower, however, she hears something
- 6:44fall over in the bathroom with the door closed, and after
- 6:48examining the room from the tub, she sees no one.
- 6:53She does, however, see a soap bottle that has fallen onto the
- 6:57floor from the side of the bathtub.
- 7:00Thinking this was weird due to its positioning, but overlooking
- 7:05it, she simply places the bottle back onto the ledge and
- 7:09continues with her shower. She then begins to hear
- 7:13footsteps walking all throughout the bathroom.
- 7:16Rinsing the soap out of her hair and making sure she doesn't get
- 7:20any in her eyes, she then turns around and sees the outline of a
- 7:25man through the steamed up shower curtain.
- 7:29This man was tall, much taller than her husband, and she didn't
- 7:34hear the door open to indicate anyone else's presence.
- 7:39Panicking, she pulls the curtain aside, yet no one is there yet
- 7:45again. She does however see small muddy
- 7:51child size shoe prints on the floor.
- 7:54Quickly finishing her shower and after drying off, she finds and
- 8:00checks Cody's shoes, but there are no signs of mud to be seen.
- 8:05This makes her uneasy because only his shoes would have even
- 8:09been close to how small the shoe prints were.
- 8:14Then heading to her son's room to see if he was awake or not,
- 8:19she finds him playing with his toy fire truck in the corner of
- 8:23the room. Yet he is speaking to a chair
- 8:27where no one is sitting, telling his friend that he didn't want
- 8:32to do that, that he just wants to play with his toys.
- 8:36Cody is then interrupted by his mother, who asked him just who
- 8:41he's speaking with. Replying with man.
- 8:46The little boy then continues to play with his fire truck.
- 8:51Jan then tells Cody that he needs to tell his friend goodbye
- 8:55and that it's time to get ready for the day.
- 8:59This seems to turn a switch within the boy.
- 9:02Suddenly her five year old has gone from happy and playing with
- 9:07his toys to becoming irate at the drop of a dime, screaming at
- 9:14his mother that he didn't want to and that man said he didn't
- 9:19have to. Being countered by his mother,
- 9:23she tells him that he will get ready or there's going to be
- 9:26serious consequences. Scowling at her eventually, he
- 9:32does as he's told, but the look behind his eyes is one his
- 9:37mother doesn't recognize, and it'll become one all too common
- 9:43in the near future. Over the next several weeks,
- 9:48Cody's behavior has shifted completely.
- 9:51He's gone from a fairly calm and loving child to one that is
- 9:56cold, angry and sometimes violent.
- 10:01He doesn't want to follow commands or do things he once
- 10:05enjoyed doing. He only wants to spend time with
- 10:09his imaginary friend, someone he calls Man.
- 10:15One afternoon, as his parents sit together watching their son
- 10:19play, they ask him to tell them about man.
- 10:24Just who is he and how old is he?
- 10:28Cody would set down the toys that he had been playing with
- 10:31and tell them he's 6 and that he has brown hair and brown eyes
- 10:39and pale skin. Interested in what he had to
- 10:43say, the couple would then ask their son just where did man
- 10:47come from? He would respond with from
- 10:52behind the park where the lake is from deep underground.
- 10:59Obviously concerned and intrigued even further, Jan
- 11:04asked Cody if something happened to man.
- 11:07Cody, with tears streaming down his face, would reply that a
- 11:13stranger took him from his mommy and did terrible things to him.
- 11:19That he cried for his mommy, but she never found him.
- 11:25With tears now falling from her eyes, Jan then asks her son, who
- 11:30would almost be the same age as man is man dead Cody.
- 11:36His answer would cause a cold shiver to shake her entire body.
- 11:43He would answer with yes. Disturbed by her son's answer,
- 11:50Jan Foster believes that her son may have befriended the spirit
- 11:55of a dead child. Dan, however, is not fully
- 11:59convinced. He believes it could be simply
- 12:03his son going through some changes emotionally and that he
- 12:07was using his imagination to cope with this.
- 12:11I'll be at a strange back story to his imaginary friend.
- 12:15He thinks that it's just that imaginary.
- 12:19With this revelation, Jane decides to take researching
- 12:23things into her own hands. She decides the following day to
- 12:28go to the local library and to sift through records to see if
- 12:32she could find anything that sounded similar to the back
- 12:36story of the boy that her son described to her.
- 12:41She avidly searches going back as far as the records do that
- 12:46were available about 50 years or so.
- 12:50Although she believes her son believes the story he told her,
- 12:55she begins to doubt what this entity could have told her son
- 13:01because no evidence materializes of the dead boy's back story.
- 13:07Over the next several months, Cody withdrawals completely from
- 13:11interacting with the family. He didn't want to spend time
- 13:15with anyone. He stopped playing with his toys
- 13:20and his only outlet seems to be man day in and day out he just
- 13:28continues to have full blown conversations with this
- 13:32invisible person. Angered and feeling as if she
- 13:37was losing her son, Jan decides to try anything it takes to get
- 13:44him back. One evening she makes a phone
- 13:48call to an old friend of hers, a Native American medicine man who
- 13:53she believes could perhaps offer insight on what to do about her
- 13:58family's situation. Within a day, he arrives,
- 14:03speaking with Jan and Dale in their living room.
- 14:06He begins to hear from Jan just what all has been taking place.
- 14:11Dale, although skeptical of both his son's situation and now the
- 14:16involvement of a medicine man, remains so, but wants to support
- 14:21his wife, thinking that this could perhaps make her feel
- 14:25better about what had been happening in his own words.
- 14:30I was concerned that something had really scared Jan, and I
- 14:33knew that she was upset. Although I didn't believe in
- 14:37this kind of stuff, I thought that maybe it could help her
- 14:41feel better. As Jan finishes explaining the
- 14:45situation as a whole to the medicine man, he comes to the
- 14:49conclusion that it's possible that Cody has invited the spirit
- 14:54into the house. He explains that the only way to
- 14:58get rid of the spirit is to revoke the invitation by praying
- 15:03and forcibly cleansing the home. That the owner of the house had
- 15:08to do this on their own to banish the spirit.
- 15:13He then instructs Jan to burn sage and sweetgrass and directed
- 15:19towards the four corners of the property.
- 15:23After this is done, each doorway of the home must be anointed
- 15:27with olive oil to finish the cleansing.
- 15:32He also warns that some spirits may not want to go so easily and
- 15:37that it's imperative that she focus and pray the entire time
- 15:43for the spirit to leave and most importantly, to pray for her
- 15:48son. The following morning, after
- 15:52everyone else had departed for the day, Jan begins the ritual.
- 15:58As the sage smoke smudges the air, Jan begins to worry but
- 16:03tries her best to remain strong in her own words.
- 16:09Was I worthy enough of God to hear my prayers, my strongest
- 16:14please to Him to help me through this, to help me cleanse this
- 16:18house and this property. I doubted myself for brief
- 16:23moments that I wouldn't be able to.
- 16:26It was the fear of knowing if it didn't work, what would happen
- 16:30Then, within due time she finishes the cleansing.
- 16:36But will it be enough? Later that night, once everyone
- 16:40else had returned home, she is brought to tears.
- 16:45Cody seems to be back to his old self.
- 16:49He's spending time with his father, having a story read to
- 16:53him from a book in his room before bed.
- 16:58Over the next three months, all is calm and well.
- 17:02Cody seems to be more responsive, he's much happier,
- 17:07and most importantly, there is no mention of any kind of an
- 17:11imaginary friend. That was until one afternoon.
- 17:18In Jan's own words, Cody wasn't totally back, but we were
- 17:23certainly making great strides. All seemed to be well.
- 17:28And then, out of nowhere, three months after the ritual, he
- 17:32began speaking to man again. When I heard him, I could not
- 17:37move. I was in so much fear.
- 17:41He kept talking for a while and then all of a sudden he went
- 17:46quiet. When I went into his room, he
- 17:50was holding something in his hands.
- 17:53It was a photograph. I said where did you get this?
- 17:59I then reached down to grab it and he went berserk.
- 18:04Cody screamed and clawed at her. His screams and yells seem to be
- 18:10layered, as if two voices were speaking through him
- 18:14simultaneously. As Jan examined the photo, it
- 18:20appeared to be an older Polaroid, possibly from the late
- 18:2450s or early 60s. There was an elderly woman,
- 18:30perhaps a grandmother, and next to her was a small boy.
- 18:35As her son relents, she asked him just who was this a picture
- 18:41of and he responded with man. Shocked at what she was both
- 18:48looking at as well as hearing, Jan then asked Cody where did
- 18:53you get this picture? He proceeds to tell her that man
- 18:58gave it to him. This causes her to burst into
- 19:02tears. The ritual, which had seemed to
- 19:06work for a good portion of time, didn't seem to get rid of the
- 19:10entity. She now wonders what will happen
- 19:14now? What are the next steps that she
- 19:17can take for herself and her family?
- 19:22The following day, as Jan arrives back home from work, she
- 19:27walks into chaos. Cody is screaming and berating
- 19:31the nanny. He's throwing his food onto the
- 19:35floor. She immediately goes to
- 19:37reprimand her son and is surprised by what he does.
- 19:42With one hand, he shoves her, and he does so with so much
- 19:47force that she falls down into the wall behind her.
- 19:52Code even screams at her. Man said I didn't have to listen
- 19:56to any of you any more. And then he runs out of the
- 20:01room. Stunned by both her son's
- 20:04strength and behavior, she gets back up off the ground now to
- 20:09see the nanny packing her things.
- 20:12She had decided that she couldn't deal with the child
- 20:15anymore. She suggests getting him some
- 20:18counseling, and although Jan tries her absolute best to keep
- 20:22her employed, she leaves. Later that night, Jan tries to
- 20:28keep herself together as the family sits down to eat dinner.
- 20:33In her own words, I was trying to keep things together.
- 20:38I needed to be an employee, a mother, and a wife.
- 20:43I was also the one bearing the brunt of my son's abuse.
- 20:47But by now, there was no love coming from Cody.
- 20:51No hugs, kisses, or real interactions.
- 20:56Just pure hatred. He was a total stranger to me at
- 21:00this point and I didn't know how to handle this.
- 21:04She begins to believe that something far more sinister than
- 21:08a little boy is manipulating her son.
- 21:12She's unsure of exactly what it is, but she knows deep down that
- 21:17it's evil. After losing the nanny, Jan and
- 21:22Dale have to start taking Cody to a cousin's house to be
- 21:25watched during the day so the two could work to support the
- 21:29family. After dropping Cody off for the
- 21:32first time at the cousin's house, Jan then heads to work
- 21:36like normal. Several hours into her work day,
- 21:40as she loads packages onto a mail truck, she is told she has
- 21:44an urgent phone call. It's from her cousin, in her own
- 21:49words. When I picked up the phone, she
- 21:53was incoherent. She was crying and kept
- 21:57repeating that I had to come get Cody now that she could not
- 22:01watch him anymore. Rushing from work to her
- 22:04cousin's house, Jan has no idea what could have happened but is
- 22:09quickly about to find out. She arrives and runs up to the
- 22:14door and is greeted by her cousin holding Cody by the arm.
- 22:19She is then told what had happened when Cody and her
- 22:23daughter were playing in the living room while she cleaned in
- 22:26the kitchen. She listened to make sure that
- 22:29everything was OK. She began to hear another voice,
- 22:33a third voice on that was deeper like that of a grown man,
- 22:39concerned but still trying to decipher what was happening.
- 22:44The air was then filled with the screams of her daughter running
- 22:48to the living room. She then saw Cody standing
- 22:52across from her daughter with multiple toys floating in the
- 22:56air around them. Upon seeing the scene, she
- 23:00covered her mouth, trying not to scream as the toys fell 1 by 1
- 23:06and hit the ground. She told Jan that she was afraid
- 23:09of Cody and that not only could she not watch him anymore, but
- 23:14that her daughter was not allowed to play with him either.
- 23:19It's a somber drive back home. Jan knows that she has to have
- 23:23someone watch Cody during the day because she can't afford to
- 23:27lose her job. Once the two arrive, she grabs
- 23:31the phone book and frantically begins calling daycares, trying
- 23:36to find a reputable place that will take him.
- 23:39Finally finding one after a few phone calls, she sighs with
- 23:43relief. After hanging up the phone, she
- 23:47sits at the table with her son. She tells him that he is in no
- 23:52circumstances allowed to take man with him anywhere, but
- 23:56especially to his new daycare. Surprisingly, the child agrees
- 24:03not to. For the next week, all seems
- 24:06well during the day with Cody at daycare and his parents working
- 24:12their jobs, but at night, the entity known as Man waits for
- 24:17him to return. One evening, as Dale goes to
- 24:22Cody's room to get him for supper, he finds his son cutting
- 24:26up stuffed animals. Although the incident disturbs
- 24:30him, he doesn't blame it on anything paranormal.
- 24:34He sits Cody in the living room and discusses the matter with
- 24:38his wife in the adjacent kitchen.
- 24:41In the meantime, Cody had other plans.
- 24:45As Dale describes, that man told their son that it was OK for him
- 24:49to cut up his toys to Jan. The two suddenly stop when they
- 24:54hear the muffled screams of the family cat.
- 24:58Pamela, heading out of her bedroom, then confronts her
- 25:02younger brother. She yells at him and pushes him
- 25:06off the couch. There, underneath where he had
- 25:10been sitting, he had trapped the cat with a cushion and a pillow,
- 25:16seemingly trying to suffocate it.
- 25:19As Pamela tends to the poor animal, Jan and Dale rush into
- 25:24the room and they see a sinister grin upon Cody's face.
- 25:29Horrified, the couple realized that they can't pretend to be
- 25:33rational anymore. Whatever that's happening to
- 25:36their son was serious, but they were unsure of just how to
- 25:41tackle the situation. The following morning as Jan
- 25:46goes to grab clothes from Cody's closet to get him ready for
- 25:49daycare, she notices that his clothes are damp and that
- 25:54wouldn't be all his toys and bed were wet as well.
- 25:59She would discover that her son had been urinating all over his
- 26:03things inside and outside of his closet.
- 26:08Further disturbed, she then confronts him and he says that
- 26:13man told him it was OK and that he didn't have to listen to her
- 26:17anymore. He then begins hitting her and
- 26:21lashing out, which only causes her more emotional torment and
- 26:27her own words. Everything started happening at
- 26:31such a fast pace, the behavior, the urinating, trying to kill
- 26:37the kitten. I just wanted my son back and I
- 26:42felt as if he was being controlled by some kind of
- 26:45monster. 1 Cold Night As wind whips the windows of the house,
- 26:52the Fosters are surprised by a visitor in their room in the
- 26:56middle of the night. It's Cody.
- 27:00He's calling out to them for the first time in a very long time.
- 27:06He said that his bed was shaking and that he needed his Mama.
- 27:12At this moment, Jan saw the glimpse of the boy she hadn't
- 27:16seen in over a year. As she holds her child for the
- 27:20first time in what feels like an eternity, she knows that man is
- 27:25not with him. She also is reminded why she
- 27:29must keep fighting for her boy, that ultimately she must
- 27:34confront this entity. Waiting until Cody was fast
- 27:38asleep in their bed with Dale, Jan quietly gets out of bed and
- 27:44heads down the hallway and towards Cody's room by herself.
- 27:49With every step she takes, she's silently praying to God to give
- 27:55her the strength to confront whatever this creature is that
- 27:59has a grip on her family. Finally making it to the
- 28:03threshold of the room, she takes a deep breath and enters.
- 28:10Glancing around the room, she sees nothing.
- 28:14Wanting to put herself in the shoes of her son, she lays down
- 28:18where he would normally sleep in his bed, hoping that if she
- 28:23persists enough, that man would possibly try to communicate with
- 28:28her. She lays there for several
- 28:31minutes, but nothing happens. She then sees who she believes
- 28:37to be her son in the doorway, calling out to him.
- 28:41He comes to her and embraces her.
- 28:45However, Jansen senses that something is horribly wrong.
- 28:51The embrace feels all wrong, his hands are ice cold.
- 28:55And then suddenly she realizes that this isn't her son at all.
- 29:00As she pushes the figure back, it begins to grow.
- 29:05It soon towers over her. It's skin is pale and it's eyes
- 29:12a deep blood red. Its teeth are gnarled and
- 29:18rotten. It pushes her down onto the bed
- 29:22and begins laughing in a deep demonic tone.
- 29:27In Jan's own words, he started laughing very demonically when
- 29:33this sudden realization came over me.
- 29:37This was man screaming for her life.
- 29:42The apparition disappears in the blink of an eye as soon as her
- 29:46family rushes into Cody's room to figure out just what was
- 29:50going on. Dale then holds his wife as she
- 29:54sobs uncontrollably. Once she finally regains her
- 29:58bearings, Jan calms the rest of the family down enough to get
- 30:02them all back into bed for the night.
- 30:05She, however, is unable to sleep, heading to the living
- 30:10room. Contemplating just what exactly
- 30:12to do about this grievous revelation, she begins begging
- 30:16God for guidance in her own words.
- 30:19Yet again. I was frightened beyond means,
- 30:24but another part of me, once the adrenaline started surging, knew
- 30:28that I had to face this. I had to do something to protect
- 30:32my family and to protect Cody and to keep this entity from
- 30:38taking him any further. Jane considers many things,
- 30:42including packing up her family to move, but she thinks that man
- 30:47is certainly attached to her son, that it wouldn't do any
- 30:51good. She doesn't sleep through the
- 30:54rest of the night. The following morning, as
- 30:57everyone else heads out to start their day, she takes Cody to
- 31:02daycare, as is the normal routine, but instead of heading
- 31:06to work herself, she heads back home and makes an urgent phone
- 31:11call. She calls her friend who is a
- 31:14Native American medicine man. By this time she hasn't spoken
- 31:19to him in about a year since everything started.
- 31:24Thankfully he picks up on the other end.
- 31:27She explains everything that has been transpiring and that she's
- 31:31seen the entity with her own eyes.
- 31:34That she believes it to be some kind of demon.
- 31:38That this a born entity had been masquerading as a little boy to
- 31:42gain entry and to her son's life.
- 31:46The shaman explains that he now understands why the initial
- 31:49cleansing didn't work. He believed that the intent was
- 31:53not specific enough since they believed that they were revoking
- 31:57an invitation of a little boy and not something darker.
- 32:02He then tells her that she will have to bless the house again,
- 32:06only this time she must focus with all of her strength on
- 32:10riding the home of this evil spirit.
- 32:13Jam wonders if she's strong enough to be able to accomplish
- 32:17this alone in her own words. I didn't know if I was going to
- 32:22be able to do this myself. I'm just a mom.
- 32:26I'm not a priest, albeit I have a spiritual side, but I was
- 32:30willing to give it my all to defend myself and my family.
- 32:36The shaman tells her that she must do this and must be brave
- 32:40and forceful with her intent to banish this demon, that she must
- 32:46not show any doubt and her efforts.
- 32:50With these parting words, Jan braces herself and then gets to
- 32:54work performing a second ritual. Starting on the four corners of
- 32:59the property, she creates a barrier using olive oil.
- 33:04She then enters a state of constant prayer while she sages
- 33:08around her property, slowly working her way inside.
- 33:14This time, instead of feeling weak, she begins to feel an
- 33:18inner strength, as if someone or something was standing beside
- 33:24her during her prayers. As she enters her home, she
- 33:30notices that the temperature of the house is abnormally cold,
- 33:34frigid to the point to where she can see her breath hang in the
- 33:39air as it fills with sage smoke. She knows there is a presence
- 33:45that resides within its walls. Feeling as if she's being
- 33:49watched, she continues to pray and smudge the home, going from
- 33:55room to room. As she does this, the walls and
- 34:00windows begin to shake, yet her prayers are uninterrupted.
- 34:06She knows that Man is watching her, trying to break her
- 34:11concentration. As the activity reaches a fever
- 34:15pitch, so do her prayers. She is yelling now and calling
- 34:21upon God to banish the entity known as Man from her home and
- 34:26from all of their lives. It is here that suddenly and
- 34:32violently, all of the doors within the house open, and an
- 34:37unearthly scream echoes all throughout the house.
- 34:41Then, as quickly as the doors opened, they suddenly all
- 34:46slammed closed. Breathing heavily, Jan
- 34:50immediately notices that the feeling within the home is like
- 34:54night turning. Today, in her own words, was if
- 34:59a veil had lifted, a dark veil of pain and confusion.
- 35:06I noticed the trees and I could hear the birds.
- 35:10I was back to a normal reality. Following this intense
- 35:15cleansing, the entity known as man has yet to return.
- 35:21In due time, the foster family seemed to go back to normal.
- 35:26Cody in particular ceased the horrendous behavior and was no
- 35:31longer influenced by the darkness of the demonic.
- 35:36However, this wasn't the end to the strange paranormal
- 35:40manifestations they would all experience.
- 35:44They continued to hear noises they couldn't explain and feel
- 35:48as if unseen eyes were watching them at all times.
- 35:53Was this the demon known as Man? Slytherin around them, watching
- 35:59and waiting to devour their very souls.
- 36:04This case has been requested numerous times for me to cover
- 36:08and I'm glad to have finally given it its time of day.
- 36:12It's certainly a terrifying and very intriguing one to say the
- 36:16least. The names within the case were
- 36:18changed to protect the anonymity of the family who was involved,
- 36:23therefore, updates as hard as I looked are unavailable.
- 36:28I can only hope that the foster family or whoever they may be,
- 36:33are good and safe today. That Cody and Pamela have grown
- 36:38up to be decent, functioning people, and I truly wish them
- 36:42all the best. With that being said, I do have
- 36:46several questions and statements I'd like to share with you.
- 36:50Now, these are my thoughts on the case as a whole.
- 36:54First of all, just how did man enter Cody's life?
- 36:58Was it a demon that was stalking or haunting the land itself?
- 37:03Was it picked up somewhere else and then brought back with the
- 37:07child? It obviously posed itself as a
- 37:10child in order to gain Cody's trust to begin with.
- 37:14This reminds me a lot of the Sally House case which I had
- 37:17just covered several weeks ago now, and it goes to show that
- 37:21the demonic has no qualms about masquerading itself as the
- 37:25ultimate innocence in order to prey upon us.
- 37:29Do you think the native banishing was sufficient, or do
- 37:33you think a Catholic priest should have been involved?
- 37:36I'm always curious to hear people's feedback on situations
- 37:39like this because I have personally seen a banishing
- 37:42happen in real time using sage, but the entity was just forced
- 37:47outside of the house. It continued to try to get back
- 37:50in, but if cleansing using sage on the property as a whole as
- 37:54well as the house was done, maybe it would have forced the
- 37:58spirit out entirely. Considering Jan used Christian
- 38:02prayer alongside sage and sweetgrass smudging, it
- 38:06certainly makes for a very interesting hybrid cleansing
- 38:09that in my opinion would have worked if her faith was strong
- 38:13enough. If man gave Cody an old Polaroid
- 38:17of who he supposedly was in life as the one shown to Jan by Cody
- 38:23with the little boy and the elderly lady.
- 38:26Just where did this picture come from and who did it end up
- 38:30being? Did it come from inside the
- 38:32house or somewhere else? And lastly, as to not pose too
- 38:38many questions, if the family continued to experience
- 38:42paranormal happenings such as unexplained noises and the
- 38:46feelings of being watched, was man ever truly banished or just
- 38:51weakened by Jan's cleansing efforts?
- 38:55Or if man was banished, did perhaps something else happen on
- 39:00the land where the home now sits that could have potentially
- 39:04scarred it, such as a tragic event?
- 39:08And with this being said, could there possibly be a portal on
- 39:11the land or now within the house itself?
- 39:15One where the veil between our world and the next is much
- 39:20thinner, allowing entities, especially dark ones, to sneak
- 39:26through? Ultimately, your conclusions are
- 39:29up to you. Let me know what you think down

- 40:18my books from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or really most places
- 40:22where you can find books but I signed them if you buy them
- 40:26directly from me. You may have noticed the audio
- 40:29is a little different in this one and that's because with the
- 40:32winter storm we recently had, I lost power for a good while and
- 40:37had several power surges throughout and it cooked my
- 40:40power supply to my mixer. So while I'm waiting for a
- 40:44replacement so I can use my mixer again and use my usual
- 40:48microphone with my mixer, I actually borrowed my old
- 40:51microphone from my brother, which I'm definitely thankful
- 40:54for. And he makes content over at
