- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, so are you ready to dive in, because
- 0:02Speaker 1: we are going ready to take a look at AI
- 0:05Speaker 1: in entertainment. And it's something that like, you know, everybody's
- 0:10Speaker 1: talking about right now, but how much is hype and
- 0:12Speaker 1: how much is really happening. So we're gonna take a
- 0:14Speaker 1: look at you know, real world examples of AI that
- 0:18Speaker 1: is actually being used in entertainment today kind of try
- 0:23Speaker 1: to like, you know, suss out where this is all going.
- 0:26Speaker 2: And I think what's really interesting is we're not talking
- 0:27Speaker 2: about like the Terminator, you know, robots taking over Hollywood.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's a much more subtle, like almost invisible revolution that's happening,
- 0:36Speaker 2: where AI is changing the way that films are made
- 0:38Speaker 2: and consumed and distributed and experienced.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's let's start with the most obvious one
- 0:44Speaker 1: I think a lot of people think about, and that's movies.
- 0:47Speaker 1: You know, we're hearing about AI that can edit film,
- 0:51Speaker 1: AI that can create special effects, AI that can even
- 0:54Speaker 1: like write screenplays.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, And you know you mentioned the editing software.
- 1:01Speaker 2: There are programs now that can analyze footage and suggest
- 1:05Speaker 2: edits like almost like a you know, super intelligent editor
- 1:09Speaker 2: by your side.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like having a second set of eyes, but
- 1:12Speaker 1: they're like really.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Smart eyes exactly, and it can save filmmakers a lot
- 1:15Speaker 2: of time, right and you know, help them kind of
- 1:18Speaker 2: see things that they might have missed.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Yeah. I means it could be a great tool for
- 1:21Speaker 1: like just speeding up the process, but also maybe for like,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you know, a first time filmmaker who doesn't you know,
- 1:27Speaker 1: isn't you know, as seasoned as someone who's been doing
- 1:30Speaker 1: it for years exactly.
- 1:32Speaker 2: And that's what I think is so exciting is that
- 1:34Speaker 2: AI is really kind of democratizing these tools that were
- 1:37Speaker 2: once only available to you know, big budget studios. Now
- 1:41Speaker 2: with AI, you know, independent filmmakers can have access to
- 1:44Speaker 2: cutting edge special effects, you know, incredible editing software, and
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's really kind of leveling the playing field in a
- 1:52Speaker 2: way that we've never seen before.
- 1:53Speaker 1: But then you think about things like deep fakes, which
- 1:57Speaker 1: or you know, AI generated images of people that look
- 2:02Speaker 1: so real.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's incredible how realistic they've become.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean to the point where like you almost
- 2:08Speaker 1: can't tell the difference. I mean that's where you start
- 2:10Speaker 1: to get into some ethical Oh.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Absolutely. I mean with any technology that's this powerful, you
- 2:15Speaker 2: have to think about the potential for misuse.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah, what could this be used for that maybe isn't.
- 2:20Speaker 2: So great exactly. Yeah, but you know, shifting gears a
- 2:23Speaker 2: little bit. Yeah, you mentioned AI writing screenplays. This is
- 2:27Speaker 2: something that I think is fascinating because you know, there's
- 2:30Speaker 2: this fear that AI is going to replace human creativity, right.
- 2:34Speaker 1: That robots are going to take our jobs.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Exactly, But I actually see it as a tool that
- 2:39Speaker 2: can augment human creativity.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So, for example, there's this program that I read about
- 2:45Speaker 2: that can analyze thousands of successful movie scripts and identify
- 2:50Speaker 2: recurring themes, to character archetypes, even like plot points that
- 2:56Speaker 2: tend to resonate with audiences, and then it can use
- 2:59Speaker 2: that in from to suggest ideas to the screenwriters.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So like it's not actually writing the screenplay, but it's
- 3:06Speaker 1: like giving you prompts exactly.
- 3:08Speaker 2: It's like having a brainstorming partner. You've seen every movie
- 3:11Speaker 2: ever made.
- 3:12Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. I mean that could be really helpful
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think for just getting over like writer's block.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Right, or just to kind of spark new ideas, yeah,
- 3:20Speaker 2: or just to like.
- 3:20Speaker 1: You know, maybe avoid some of the pitfalls of like
- 3:23Speaker 1: a really cliche storyline or something like exactly.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It can help you kind of see what's been done
- 3:27Speaker 2: before and maybe find a fresh new angle.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So it's not necessarily making all movies the same, but
- 3:33Speaker 1: it's like giving you that knowledge base to work from.
- 3:36Speaker 2: I think that's a really good way to put it.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's like it's giving you access to this vast library
- 3:42Speaker 2: of knowledge about storytelling. But it's still up to the
- 3:46Speaker 2: human screenwriter to bring their own unique voice and perspective
- 3:50Speaker 2: to the project.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Right. So it's a tool.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It's a tool.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not the NLB all. Okay, So we've got
- 3:57Speaker 1: AI editors, AI special effects artists, AI screenwriters. Pretty soon
- 4:04Speaker 1: we won't need humans at all to make movies.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Well, I don't think we're there yet, Okay, but it
- 4:08Speaker 2: is interesting to think about how AI is changing the
- 4:13Speaker 2: roles of those involved in filmmaking.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Yeah, and I wonder how that changes the final product too, Like,
- 4:19Speaker 1: does it make all movies, that's a great question start
- 4:22Speaker 1: to feel the same.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, it's something that we'll have to see how it
- 4:25Speaker 2: plays out. But I think it's important to remember that
- 4:28Speaker 2: AI is a tool, and ultimately it's the human artists
- 4:32Speaker 2: who are making the creative decisions.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Right, So it still comes down to human creativity exactly.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Okay, and you know, speaking of the audience, AI is
- 4:39Speaker 2: also changing the way that we consume and discover Oh yeah, film.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I mean think about like, you know, Netflix and all
- 4:46Speaker 1: the other streaming services they're using AI to like figure
- 4:49Speaker 1: out what we want to.
- 4:50Speaker 2: Watch exactly, those personalized recommendations that you get, that's all AI.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Because I watched this, you might also like it exactly.
- 4:58Speaker 2: It's analyzing your viewing history, your ratings, and trying to
- 5:03Speaker 2: predict what you'll enjoy.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Yeah, which can be great but also sometimes a little creepy.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah. There's definitely a sense that you know, big brother
- 5:12Speaker 2: is watching.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Right, Like how do they know that?
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:15Speaker 1: Yeah? And also like are they only showing me things
- 5:19Speaker 1: that I already like?
- 5:20Speaker 2: Right?
- 5:21Speaker 1: Am I missing out on other's great things that I
- 5:23Speaker 1: might enjoy?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah? Are we being trapped in these filter bubbles where
- 5:27Speaker 2: we're only exposed to content that reinforces our existing tastes?
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Or is AI actually helping us discover new things?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Right? I mean because they say that it's you know,
- 5:37Speaker 1: pushing you outside of your comfort zone sometimes, right, But is.
- 5:40Speaker 2: It really It's a debate that's ongoing. Yeah, And it's
- 5:43Speaker 2: something that we need to be mindful of as consumers.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Okay, so we've got AI making movies and AI choosing
- 5:49Speaker 1: what movies we watch, right, what.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Else, let's not forget about video games? Oh yeah, AI
- 5:53Speaker 2: is having a huge impact on the gaming industry as well.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean video games have always been kind of
- 5:57Speaker 1: on the cutting edge of technology, so it makes sense
- 6:00Speaker 1: that they're using AI in really interesting ways.
- 6:02Speaker 2: One of the biggest areas is in the development of
- 6:05Speaker 2: non player characters or MPCs. Okay, so these are the
- 6:09Speaker 2: characters that you interact with in a video.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Game, right, like the people that aren't you exactly.
- 6:14Speaker 2: And in the past, they were pretty predictable.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Right, they kind of just followed a script exactly. Yeah.
- 6:20Speaker 2: But now with AI, MPCs can learn and adapt to
- 6:23Speaker 2: the player's actions.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Oh wow, So they're not just like pre programmed. They're
- 6:27Speaker 1: actually reacting to you, reacting to how you're playing exactly.
- 6:31Speaker 2: It makes the game world feel much more dynamic and immersive.
- 6:36Speaker 1: So it's like they actually have their own personality.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, and motivations.
- 6:40Speaker 1: That's really cool.
- 6:41Speaker 2: It's pretty incredible, and some developers are even using AI
- 6:45Speaker 2: to generate entire levels or storylines based on the player's choices.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So like the game is actually writing itself in a way.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Yes, as you're playing, it's creating a unique experience for
- 6:57Speaker 2: each player.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Wow, that's insane.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty mind blowing.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So it's like you never really know what's going to
- 7:04Speaker 1: happen next.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Exactly, and that's what makes it so engaging.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that could be really cool for like,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know replayability, right.
- 7:12Speaker 2: You can play the same game multiple times and have
- 7:14Speaker 2: a completely different experience.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Okay, so AI is making games more realistic, more challenging,
- 7:21Speaker 1: more unpredictable.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Absolutely, what's the.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Bigger picture here? Like, where is this all going?
- 7:25Speaker 2: Well? I think one of the most exciting things about
- 7:27Speaker 2: AI and gaming is that it's not just about entertainment. Okay,
- 7:31Speaker 2: the skills that AI is developing in these virtual worlds, right,
- 7:35Speaker 2: can actually be applied to real world problems.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Oh.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Interesting, So, for example, you know, AI is learning how
- 7:41Speaker 2: to solve problems, right, how to adapt to new situations,
- 7:45Speaker 2: how to work collaboratively. Yeah, and those are all skills
- 7:48Speaker 2: that are valuable in the real world.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah. So, like the things that are happening in these
- 7:52Speaker 1: video games, right, could actually help us solve real world
- 7:55Speaker 1: problems exactly.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It's like a testing ground for AI why where we
- 7:59Speaker 2: can experiment and see what works and what doesn't.
- 8:02Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. It makes you wonder what other surprises
- 8:05Speaker 1: AI has in store for us.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I know it's an exciting time to be following this technology, definitely.
- 8:11Speaker 1: So we've talked about film and video games, right, what
- 8:14Speaker 1: other areas of entertainment is AI shaking things up in?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about music because AI is making waves
- 8:21Speaker 2: there as well. We're not just talking about AI DJs
- 8:24Speaker 2: creating playlists. We're talking about AI composing original music, mixing tracks,
- 8:31Speaker 2: even mastering audio.
- 8:33Speaker 1: So AI is like writing songs now, Yes, like full
- 8:37Speaker 1: on songs with melodies and lyrics.
- 8:39Speaker 2: It's pretty incredible. There are platforms now where you can
- 8:41Speaker 2: input a few basic parameters like genre, mood, tempo, and
- 8:46Speaker 2: AI will generate a unique piece of music based on
- 8:49Speaker 2: your input.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Wow. So you're like the producer in a way. Yes,
- 8:52Speaker 1: you're telling the AI what you want and it's making
- 8:55Speaker 1: it for you.
- 8:56Speaker 2: It's a really fascinating development.
- 8:58Speaker 1: But does that mean like human music are out of
- 9:00Speaker 1: a job.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think it's more about how
- 9:04Speaker 2: AI can augment human creativity and music. So, for example,
- 9:09Speaker 2: AI can help musicians overcome writer's block or experiment with
- 9:14Speaker 2: new sounds they might not have thought of otherwise.
- 9:16Speaker 1: So it's like a collaborator exact instead of a replacement. Right, Okay,
- 9:20Speaker 1: that makes more sense.
- 9:21Speaker 2: And it's not just about composing new music. AI is
- 9:25Speaker 2: also being used in music production to clean up recordings,
- 9:28Speaker 2: master tracks, even suggest harmonies and arrangements.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So it's like having a virtual producer in your studio exactly. Wow,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it's pretty basic. So it's changing like every aspect of
- 9:38Speaker 1: the music industry.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It's having a profound impact.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Okay, so we've got AI making movies, AI choosing what
- 9:44Speaker 1: movies we watch, AI making video games, AI writing music.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Like every form of entertainment is being touched by AI.
- 9:51Speaker 2: It's really kind of revolutionizing the entire industry.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So what's next? Is AI going to start directing movies
- 9:57Speaker 1: and choreographing dance routines.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Let's talk about live events and immersive experiences because AI
- 10:03Speaker 2: is starting to make a splash there as well.
- 10:05Speaker 1: All right, so how is AI being used in like
- 10:08Speaker 1: concerts and theater and theme parks.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Well, imagine a concert where the lighting and visuals adapt
- 10:14Speaker 2: in real time to the mood of the crowd.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Or a theme park that creates personalized experiences for each visitor.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Wait, hold on personalized theme park experiences. Yes, So for example,
- 10:26Speaker 1: so like if I'm a roller coaster fanatic, right, it's
- 10:28Speaker 1: going to make sure that I go on all.
- 10:29Speaker 2: The roller coasters exactly. And if you're more interested in
- 10:32Speaker 2: like gentle rides, right, it'll steer you in that direction.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's amazing.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty incredible. And some theme parks are even
- 10:40Speaker 2: experimenting with AI powered characters that can interact with visitors
- 10:44Speaker 2: in a natural and engaging way.
- 10:46Speaker 1: So it's like you're actually talking to like a robot. Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 1: that's like thinking and responding to you.
- 10:51Speaker 2: It's blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But is it taking away some of the magic.
- 10:57Speaker 2: That's a good question.
- 10:58Speaker 1: When you go to a theme park, you want it
- 10:59Speaker 1: to be using, right, You want to be spontaneous. Is
- 11:03Speaker 1: AI kind of like making it too predictable?
- 11:06Speaker 2: I think that's a valid concern, Yeah, and it's something
- 11:09Speaker 2: that we need to be mindful of as we integrate
- 11:12Speaker 2: AI into these experiences.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Right, it's all about finding the right balance exactly. Yeah, okay,
- 11:17Speaker 1: So AI is changing the way that we create entertainment,
- 11:22Speaker 1: the way that we consume entertainment. Right, it's kind of
- 11:24Speaker 1: like this this invisible force that's.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Just like it's everywhere everywhere. Yeah, it's pervasive and it's hard.
- 11:31Speaker 1: To predict like where it's going to go next.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Absolutely, but that's what makes it so exciting. Yeah, it's
- 11:37Speaker 2: like we're on the cusp of a whole new era of.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Entertainment that's all being driven by AI.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Wow. Okay, well we've covered a lot of ground here,
- 11:46Speaker 1: but we're not done yet.
- 11:47Speaker 2: No, we're just getting started.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Stay tuned. We'll get even more to talk about when
- 11:50Speaker 1: we come back.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Looking forward to it, you know, it's interesting to think about,
- 11:54Speaker 2: like what is entertainment? Like how do we define it?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Yeah? I mean is it just like escaping reality?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Right? Is it just about having fun?
- 12:01Speaker 1: Or is there something more to it?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Like is there a deeper purpose to entertainment?
- 12:05Speaker 1: And how does AI kind of change that definition?
- 12:08Speaker 2: Right? Because it's not just about creating content for us
- 12:11Speaker 2: to consume anymore, Right, it's also about giving us the
- 12:13Speaker 2: tools to create our own entertainment.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Oh wow, So AI is like turning us.
- 12:18Speaker 2: All into artists in a way.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Yes, but I mean I'm not an artist, Like I
- 12:22Speaker 1: can't draw, I can't say.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Oh right, But with AI, you don't necessarily need those
- 12:26Speaker 2: traditional skills.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:28Speaker 2: There are AI powered tools that can help you write songs,
- 12:31Speaker 2: make videos, even design video games.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Wait really yeah, so like even if I have no experience,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I can just like tell AI what I want and
- 12:38Speaker 1: it'll make it for me.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It's not quite that simple, but it's getting closer.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Think of it like this. AI can be your creative collaborator. Okay,
- 12:47Speaker 2: it can help you overcome technical hurdles and unleash your
- 12:50Speaker 2: inner artist.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So it's like having a virtual band made or a
- 12:53Speaker 1: virtual film crew exactly. That's pretty cool.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really exciting development. And it's not just
- 12:59Speaker 2: about creating original content. AI can also enhance our experience
- 13:04Speaker 2: as consumers. Oh yeah, well, imagine being able to personalize
- 13:09Speaker 2: your entertainment experience to an unprecedented level. Okay, Like, what
- 13:13Speaker 2: do you mean so instead of just passively watching a movie,
- 13:17Speaker 2: you could use AI to adjust the storyline?
- 13:21Speaker 1: Hold on, are you saying like we could choose our
- 13:24Speaker 1: own adventure in a way?
- 13:26Speaker 2: Yes?
- 13:27Speaker 1: Wow, that would be amazing, right, Like you could watch
- 13:30Speaker 1: the same movie multiple times and have it be completely
- 13:33Speaker 1: different exactly.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It's like having a million different movies.
- 13:35Speaker 1: In one that's mind blowing.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And it's not just movies, No, this could apply to
- 13:39Speaker 2: any form of entertainment. Okay, So like music, Yeah, you
- 13:42Speaker 2: could have ai generate music based on your mood or
- 13:46Speaker 2: your activity.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Oh wow. So like if I'm working out, i could
- 13:49Speaker 1: have like a super upbeat playlist exactly, and then if
- 13:52Speaker 1: I'm trying to relax, it could play something more mellow. Right.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That's really cool. And what about like theme parks?
- 13:58Speaker 2: Oh yeah, theme parks are a great example. Yeah, imagine
- 14:00Speaker 2: a theme park that's completely personalized to your interests.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So like if I hate roller coasters, it'll just like
- 14:06Speaker 1: skip those exactly.
- 14:07Speaker 2: It would create an itinerary that's tailored to your preferences.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Oh wow, that would be amazing.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And it could even adjust the experience in real time
- 14:16Speaker 2: based on your feedback, so like.
- 14:18Speaker 1: If I'm getting bored, it'll like switch things up exactly. Wow,
- 14:22Speaker 1: that's incredible. It's like the entire world is becoming a
- 14:25Speaker 1: customizable playground for our entertainment desires.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really exciting time to be a consumer.
- 14:32Speaker 1: But with all this talk about personalization and customization, do
- 14:37Speaker 1: you ever worry that we're losing the shared experience of entertainment.
- 14:40Speaker 2: That's a great point. It's important to remember that entertainment
- 14:44Speaker 2: can be a powerful force for bringing people together, right, Like.
- 14:47Speaker 1: When you go to a concert or a movie with
- 14:48Speaker 1: friends exact, you're all sharing that experience together.
- 14:51Speaker 2: And those shared experiences can create really strong bonds between people.
- 14:55Speaker 2: So it's important to make sure that AI doesn't isolate us, right.
- 14:59Speaker 1: We don't want to all end up just like sitting
- 15:00Speaker 1: in our own little bubbles exactly. So how do we
- 15:03Speaker 1: find that balance?
- 15:04Speaker 2: Well, I think it's about using AI to enhance those
- 15:07Speaker 2: shared experiences. Okay, So, for example, you could use AI
- 15:11Speaker 2: to connect with other people who share your interests, even
- 15:14Speaker 2: if those interests are incredibly niche or unique.
- 15:17Speaker 1: So like, if I'm really into like eighties synth pop, right,
- 15:21Speaker 1: AI could help me find other people who are also
- 15:24Speaker 1: into that exactly.
- 15:25Speaker 2: And you could connect with those people online or in person.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Wow, that'd be awesome. It's like AI is helping us
- 15:31Speaker 1: find our tribe.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's a great way to put it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So it's not just about personalizing entertainment, but also about
- 15:38Speaker 1: using AI to connect with others exactly.
- 15:40Speaker 2: It's about expanding our horizons and discovering new things.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Okay, So AI is changing the definition of entertainment. Absolutely,
- 15:47Speaker 1: got to make it more interactive, more personalized, and more diverse. Right,
- 15:51Speaker 1: It's pretty amazing when you think about it.
- 15:53Speaker 2: It really is. And it's not just about the technology itself.
- 15:56Speaker 2: It's about the humans, stories and emotions that drive it.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I can help us explore the human condition in new
- 16:02Speaker 2: and exciting ways.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Oh. Interesting.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It can challenge our assumptions okay, and connect with each
- 16:07Speaker 2: other on a deeper level.
- 16:08Speaker 1: So it's like AI's helping us to understand ourselves better.
- 16:12Speaker 2: In a way.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yes. Wow, that's really powerful.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, it's one of the things that I find most
- 16:18Speaker 2: exciting about this technology.
- 16:20Speaker 1: This whole conversation has been really eye opening.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm glad to hear that.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I feel like I've learned so much about the potential
- 16:26Speaker 1: of AI to transform the entertainment industry.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really fascinating field.
- 16:31Speaker 1: But let's be realistic. AI isn't a magic wand that's
- 16:35Speaker 1: going to solve all of our problems.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Of course, not.
- 16:37Speaker 1: There are still challenges to overcome.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Absolutely. Well. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that
- 16:43Speaker 2: AI is used ethically and responsibly.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 16:46Speaker 2: We need to be mindful of potential biases in algorithms,
- 16:51Speaker 2: protect user privacy, yeah, and make sure that AI doesn't
- 16:54Speaker 2: exacerbate existing inequalities.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Those are all really important considerations.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Absolutely, and it's one thing that we need to be
- 17:00Speaker 2: talking about more as a society.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, AI is so powerful that we need
- 17:05Speaker 1: to make sure that it's being used for good exactly.
- 17:08Speaker 2: We need to make sure that it's benefiting all of humanity,
- 17:11Speaker 2: not just to select few. And I think that's where
- 17:14Speaker 2: the conversation needs to start.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And what about the impact of AI on the entertainment workforce?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that's another big concern.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Yeah, like our robot's going to replace human actors and
- 17:24Speaker 1: musicians and writers.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Well, it's a question that a lot of people are asking,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and it's a valid concern, But I personally believe that
- 17:32Speaker 2: AI will ultimately create new opportunities for human creativity and collaboration. Interesting,
- 17:40Speaker 2: think about it, Instead of replacing actors, AI could help
- 17:44Speaker 2: them rehearse their lines, okay, or create virtual stunt doubles.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Oh, Wow. So it's like making their jobs easier exactly.
- 17:51Speaker 2: And it's not just actors. AI could help musicians experiment
- 17:55Speaker 2: with new sounds or produce their own music.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So it's not about AI versus a humans. It's about
- 18:01Speaker 1: AI and humans working together exactly to create something truly amazing.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I think that's a really beautiful way to put it.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So the future of entertainment isn't about robots taking over.
- 18:11Speaker 1: It's about humans and AI collaborating to push the boundaries
- 18:15Speaker 1: of creativity.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I completely agree.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Okay, Well, this has been an incredible conversation.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I've really enjoyed it.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I feel like I've learned so much. Me too, I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: really excited to see what the future holds for AI
- 18:26Speaker 1: and entertainment.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really exciting time to be following this technology, definitely.
- 18:31Speaker 1: So what are you most excited about?
- 18:34Speaker 2: You know, what excites me the most is the potential
- 18:37Speaker 2: for AI to foster empathy and understanding.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's a really beautiful thought.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Yeah. I think AI has the power to help us
- 18:47Speaker 2: see the world through new eyes and connect with each
- 18:50Speaker 2: other on a deeper level.
- 18:52Speaker 1: How do you see that happening.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Well, imagine experiencing a story from the perspective of someone
- 18:57Speaker 2: completely different from yourself, okay, or stepping into a virtual
- 19:01Speaker 2: world that challenges your assumptions about the world.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So it's like AI is helping us to walk in
- 19:06Speaker 1: someone else's shoes exactly. Wow, that's really powerful.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's one of the things that I believe AI
- 19:12Speaker 2: can do better than any other technology.
- 19:14Speaker 1: And why is that so important?
- 19:16Speaker 2: Because I think empathy is the key to solving a
- 19:19Speaker 2: lot of the world's problems. Yeah, if we can understand
- 19:21Speaker 2: each other better, if we can see the world from
- 19:24Speaker 2: each other's perspectives, I think we can start to bridge
- 19:27Speaker 2: the divides that separate us.
- 19:29Speaker 1: So AI could actually help to bring people together, I believe.
- 19:32Speaker 1: So that's amazing.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a really helpful thought, it is.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It gives me hope for the future too. But let's
- 19:39Speaker 1: not get ahead of ourselves. AI is still a relatively
- 19:42Speaker 1: new technology, absolutely, and we're only just beginning to scratch
- 19:45Speaker 1: the surface of its potential.
- 19:47Speaker 2: I completely agree.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Who knows what incredible advancements and applications are waiting just
- 19:52Speaker 1: around the corner.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Yeah, the possibilities are endless.
- 19:55Speaker 1: It's an exciting time to be alive, it really is. Wow,
- 19:58Speaker 1: we have covered so much we have.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Yeah. AI is everywhere. It really is, from writing scripts
- 20:04Speaker 2: to personalizing our theme park experiences.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and even potentially fostering empathy, which is just amazing.
- 20:11Speaker 2: It's one of the most exciting aspects I think.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, it's a mind blowing to think about
- 20:15Speaker 1: how this technology is shaping the future of entertainment.
- 20:18Speaker 2: It really is. And it's not just shaping it, it's
- 20:21Speaker 2: expanding it in ways that we never could have imagined.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Right, Like we were talking about earlier with you know,
- 20:26Speaker 1: AI possibly making all movies.
- 20:28Speaker 2: The same, Right, could it stifle originality?
- 20:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because if everyone's using the same tools to analyze
- 20:34Speaker 1: scripts and generate ideas, Yeah, won't we end up with
- 20:37Speaker 1: a bunch of cookie cutter movies.
- 20:38Speaker 2: It's a valid concern for sure. But I think it's
- 20:41Speaker 2: important to remember that AI is just a tool, right.
- 20:45Speaker 2: It's like a really powerful research tool. Okay, think of
- 20:48Speaker 2: it like a library that contains the DNA of every
- 20:51Speaker 2: successful film ever made.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Wow, that's a great analogy.
- 20:54Speaker 2: It can highlight patterns and trends, but ultimately it's up
- 20:58Speaker 2: to the human screenwriter to interpret that information and create
- 21:01Speaker 2: something unique.
- 21:02Speaker 1: So it's like having a superpowered research assistant Exactly. You
- 21:05Speaker 1: can point you in the right direction, but can't actually
- 21:08Speaker 1: do the creative heavy lifting.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Right. AI can provide the building blocks, but it's the
- 21:12Speaker 2: human artist that brings the vision, the emotion, the soul
- 21:16Speaker 2: to the project.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's that human element that really makes art resonate
- 21:20Speaker 1: with audiences.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Absolutely, And just like any tool, AI can be used
- 21:24Speaker 2: for good or for ill.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That's true. Yeah, it all comes down to the intentions
- 21:28Speaker 1: and the choices of the people.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Using it, exactly, And as AI becomes more sophisticated, it's
- 21:33Speaker 2: more important than ever to have open and honest conversations
- 21:37Speaker 2: about its ethical implications.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Right. We need to make sure that AI is used
- 21:40Speaker 1: responsibly and that it benefits all of humanity, not.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Just to select few couldn't agree more.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But it's been an incredible deep dive, it has been.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you for having me.
- 21:49Speaker 1: Oh, it was my pleasure. It was a really fascinating conversation,
- 21:52Speaker 1: and I feel like I've learned so much about AI
- 21:55Speaker 1: and the future of entertainment.
- 21:56Speaker 2: It's a rapidly evolving field, that's for sure.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Definitely, But as we wrap up, I want to leave
- 22:01Speaker 1: our listeners with something to ponder Okay, we've talked about
- 22:05Speaker 1: how AI is changing entertainment from the inside out right,
- 22:08Speaker 1: But how do you think AI will impact your own
- 22:11Speaker 1: personal entertainment experiences in the years to come.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That's the question, isn't it.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yeah? Will you embrace AI generated music in movies?
- 22:19Speaker 2: Will you let AI curate your playlists and recommend your
- 22:22Speaker 2: next binge worthy show?
- 22:24Speaker 1: And most importantly, as you encounter AI and your entertainment experiences, yes,
- 22:28Speaker 1: think critically about how this technology is shaping your choices.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Is it expanding your horizons or is it reinforcing your
- 22:35Speaker 2: existing tastes?
- 22:37Speaker 1: Those are great questions to.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Consider, and how can you use AI as a tool
- 22:41Speaker 2: to deepen your engagement with the world of entertainment and
- 22:45Speaker 2: even become a creator yourself.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Because the future of entertainment is being written right now.
- 22:49Speaker 2: It's an exciting journey full of possibilities.
- 22:51Speaker 1: So buckle up and enjoy the ride.
- 22:53Speaker 2: And thanks for joining us for this deep dive into
- 22:55Speaker 2: AI and entertainment.
- 22:57Speaker 1: We'll see you next. TIMP
