Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
• 0:07
Speaker 1: where we left off with the Jess Daly transcript from
• 0:11
Speaker 1: his trip to Congress. Question, in the second email of
• 0:14
Speaker 1: the chain, you tell Mr. Epstein that you'll be in
• 0:17
Speaker 1: London that week. Mr. Epstein responds, quote, do you need
• 0:21
Speaker 1: anything there? And you reply, quote, yep. Sullivan, this is
• 0:25
Speaker 1: one document, right? One page? Redacted, correct. It's one page. Question,
• 0:31
Speaker 1: what did you understand, Mr. Epstein? To mean by quote,
• 0:34
Speaker 1: do you need anything there? Answer, I don't recall. I mean,
• 0:38
Speaker 1: I go to London a lot on business. He was
• 0:40
Speaker 1: very connected in London, but I don't know specifically. I
• 0:43
Speaker 1: don't recall specifically what it was in 2009. Question, it
• 0:49
Speaker 1: does appear that he's offering you something though, correct? Answer,
• 0:52
Speaker 1: I think he's just asking if I needed anything there. Question,
• 0:56
Speaker 1: so offering you something. In replying quote, yup. you were
• 1:00
Speaker 1: affirming that you did need whatever Mr. Epstein was offering, correct? Answer,
• 1:05
Speaker 1: I don't know what he was offering. Question, sure. But
• 1:08
Speaker 1: he's sending you an email asking you a question, quote,
• 1:11
Speaker 1: do you need anything there? And you respond, quote, yup.
• 1:15
Speaker 1: So regardless of what he was offering, you're indicating that
• 1:18
Speaker 1: you do, in fact, need that thing. Answer, yeah. He
• 1:21
Speaker 1: used to set up business with people from the treasury,
• 1:24
Speaker 1: people from the royal family, lots of things he used
• 1:26
Speaker 1: to set up. Question, But are you indicating that you,
• 1:30
Speaker 1: in fact, need that thing? You're responding, quote, yup. Answer, yeah. Question.
• 1:36
Speaker 1: I would like to introduce as Minority Exhibit B an
• 1:39
Speaker 1: email from Mr. Epstein to a redacted individual dated September 2, 2009,
• 1:46
Speaker 1: just three days after you responded to Mr. Epstein's email with, quote, yup.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: The Bates number is EFTA 00883896. Question. In the email, Mr.
• 1:59
Speaker 1: Epstein says, quote, Jess Daly is staying at the Berkeley
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Hotel in London tonight. I can represent to you, based
• 2:06
Speaker 1: on in-camera review of the unredacted version of this document,
• 2:10
Speaker 1: that this individual is a young woman from Eastern Europe.
• 2:15
Speaker 1: Did you ask Mr. Epstein to email this young woman
• 2:17
Speaker 1: your hotel information? Answer, where do you know that's a
• 2:21
Speaker 1: young woman from? Question, excuse me? I didn't quite catch that. Answer,
• 2:26
Speaker 1: where do you know that that's a young woman from? Question,
• 2:30
Speaker 1: based on the in-camera review of the unredacted version of
• 2:33
Speaker 1: this document? Staley asked the question again. Question, did you
• 2:38
Speaker 1: ask Mr. Epstein to email this young woman your hotel information? Answer, no. Question,
• 2:43
Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein tell you that he was emailing this
• 2:46
Speaker 1: young woman your hotel information? Answer, no. Question, is that
• 2:51
Speaker 1: something that you had done previously? Answer, no. Question, why
• 2:55
Speaker 1: do you think that Mr. Epstein shared your hotel information
• 2:58
Speaker 1: with this young woman? Answer, I don't know. Question, was
• 3:01
Speaker 1: it because Mr. Epstein was instructing this young woman to
• 3:05
Speaker 1: go to your hotel and have sex with you? Answer, no,
• 3:08
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, you don't know or no? Answer, no,
• 3:13
Speaker 1: I mean I did not have an encounter with a
• 3:15
Speaker 1: young woman in a hotel. Question, but your answer to
• 3:21
Speaker 1: my question, was it because Mr. Epstein was instructing this
• 3:23
Speaker 1: young woman to go to your hotel and have sex
• 3:26
Speaker 1: with you? Is your answer no? Answer, No. Question or
• 3:30
Speaker 1: I don't know. Answer, no. Question, how would you know
• 3:34
Speaker 1: that Mr. Epstein gets cut off by Jess Daly? Can
• 3:39
Speaker 1: you ask the question again? I'm sorry. Question, I asked
• 3:42
Speaker 1: you why you thought that Mr. Epstein shared your hotel
• 3:45
Speaker 1: information with this young woman. I believe that you said
• 3:48
Speaker 1: you didn't know. Then I asked you, was it because Mr.
• 3:50
Speaker 1: Epstein was instructing this young woman to go to your
• 3:53
Speaker 1: hotel and have sex with you? Answer, I don't know. Question,
• 3:57
Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein otherwise introduce you to young women from
• 4:01
Speaker 1: Eastern Europe when you were in London? Answer, no. Question, never. Answer, no. Question,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: I'd like to introduce Minority Exhibit C, an email exchange
• 4:12
Speaker 1: between Mr. Epstein and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from June 14, 2010.
• 4:16
Speaker 1: The bait's number is EFTA 01812700. Question in the first
• 4:26
Speaker 1: email of the chain, Mr. Epstein says, quote, this is
• 4:29
Speaker 1: at the very bottom. He says, quote, if you can
• 4:32
Speaker 1: find time to show Jess around with Redacted, that would
• 4:35
Speaker 1: be fun. He told me he ran into you tonight. Mr.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: Mountbatten-Windsor confirms that the two of you saw each other.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: Then ask Mr. Epstein who Redacted is. Mr. Epstein responds, quote,
• 4:47
Speaker 1: a great friend of mine, very pretty. She is my
• 4:50
Speaker 1: future ex-wife. I know Jess and she would love to
• 4:53
Speaker 1: see home. The next day, June 15th, Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor complains
• 4:58
Speaker 1: to Epstein that the woman did not respond to his
• 5:01
Speaker 1: email and notes that he's having dinner with you the
• 5:03
Speaker 1: following evening. Mr. Epstein replies by giving Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor the
• 5:08
Speaker 1: woman's phone number and telling him she is expecting his call.
• 5:13
Speaker 1: I can represent to you based on the in-camera review
• 5:16
Speaker 1: of the unredacted version of this document that the person Mr.
• 5:20
Speaker 1: Epstein calls his future ex-wife is another young woman from
• 5:23
Speaker 1: Eastern Europe A different young woman than the one we
• 5:26
Speaker 1: just discussed. Did you meet this woman? Answer, no. Question,
• 5:31
Speaker 1: did Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor show you around London? This was in
• 5:35
Speaker 1: June of 2010. Answer, around London, no. Question, did Mr.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: Mountbatten-Windsor give you a tour of his home? Answer, I
• 5:42
Speaker 1: visited the palace. I thought it was just by myself.
• 5:45
Speaker 1: I didn't recall him joining or being there. Question, do
• 5:49
Speaker 1: you remember when you visited the palace? Answer, no, not exactly, no. Question,
• 5:55
Speaker 1: do you have a year? Answer, no, but I know
• 5:57
Speaker 1: I went once. Question, and that's Buckingham Palace, right? Answer, yeah. Question,
• 6:02
Speaker 1: and your recollection? Is that you visited, but you weren't
• 6:05
Speaker 1: with Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor? Answer, that's my recollection. Because my recollection is,
• 6:12
Speaker 1: I went by taxi, and I just, I just recall
• 6:14
Speaker 1: it because the taxi driver was quite taken aback that
• 6:17
Speaker 1: he was going into Buckingham Palace. Question, so your recollection?
• 6:21
Speaker 1: is that you weren't with Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor when you toured
• 6:24
Speaker 1: Buckingham Palace, and he did not otherwise show you around London. Answer,
• 6:29
Speaker 1: that's correct. Question, and the two of you, or you rather,
• 6:33
Speaker 1: for either one of those activities, you were not joined
• 6:36
Speaker 1: by a young woman from Eastern Europe? Answer, that's correct. Question,
• 6:40
Speaker 1: I'd like to introduce as Minority Exhibit D, an email. Staley,
• 6:44
Speaker 1: can I make one clarification? Answer, sure. Question, years later,
• 6:48
Speaker 1: when I was working in London... I went to the
• 6:50
Speaker 1: palace on a couple of occasions. Question, and that is
• 6:53
Speaker 1: separate from the tour that you also recollect? Answer, yeah. Question,
• 6:58
Speaker 1: because those visits were not a tour? Answer, they were
• 7:02
Speaker 1: professional visits to the palace in my role with Barclays. Question,
• 7:07
Speaker 1: and when you say years later, when was that? Answer, well,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: that would have been from 2015 to 2021. Question, so
• 7:14
Speaker 1: the tour that you remember would have been some point
• 7:17
Speaker 1: between 2015? Answer, yeah. Question, I'd like to introduce as
• 7:22
Speaker 1: Minority Exhibit D, an email chain between you and Mr.
• 7:25
Speaker 1: Epstein from the following day, June 16th, 2010. Bates number
• 7:30
Speaker 1: is EFTA 01300635. Question, in the first email you write, quote,
• 7:38
Speaker 1: is she free tonight? To which Mr. Epstein responds, just
• 7:41
Speaker 1: two minutes later, quote, call me. Who is she? Answer,
• 7:46
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, could it be the same woman
• 7:48
Speaker 1: from Eastern Europe? who Mr. Epstein and Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor were
• 7:52
Speaker 1: emailing about earlier? Answer, I don't know. Question, why would
• 7:56
Speaker 1: you be asking Mr. Epstein if a woman was free?
• 7:59
Speaker 1: Answer again, I don't recall this email. Question, I understand
• 8:03
Speaker 1: you don't recall the email, but why would you ask Mr.
• 8:05
Speaker 1: Epstein if a woman was free? Answer, I'm not going
• 8:08
Speaker 1: to speculate. Question, did you call Mr. Epstein in response
• 8:12
Speaker 1: to the email? Answer, I don't recall. Question, would you
• 8:15
Speaker 1: have typically called Mr. Epstein when he asked you to
• 8:17
Speaker 1: call him? Answer, yeah. Question, so you might have. Answer,
• 8:21
Speaker 1: I might have. But this is 16 years ago. Question,
• 8:25
Speaker 1: a few hours later, you respond with A. Is A
• 8:28
Speaker 1: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor? Answer, seems like it. Question, what did you
• 8:33
Speaker 1: have to do with the previous conversation that you were
• 8:35
Speaker 1: having with Mr. Epstein? Answer, I don't know. Question, because
• 8:40
Speaker 1: you asked Mr. Epstein if a woman was free. He says,
• 8:42
Speaker 1: call me. And then later you say, I'm with A.
• 8:46
Speaker 1: So it would seem like those two things are connected, right? Answer,
• 8:50
Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, were the two of you having dinner,
• 8:53
Speaker 1: as Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor had noted, for Mr. Epstein the day prior? Answer,
• 8:58
Speaker 1: it seems like it. Question, do you remember that dinner? Answer, no. Question,
• 9:03
Speaker 1: do you remember having dinners with Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor generally? Answer, no. Question,
• 9:08
Speaker 1: you don't have any recollection of any dinner with Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor? Answer,
• 9:13
Speaker 1: I don't think I had dinners with Prince Andrew. Question,
• 9:17
Speaker 1: so when... Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor tells Mr. Epstein that the two
• 9:21
Speaker 1: of you are having dinner together. He's wrong? Answer, no. Question,
• 9:26
Speaker 1: you just don't remember. Answer, that's correct. Question, do you
• 9:31
Speaker 1: remember if you were ever joined by any young woman
• 9:34
Speaker 1: from Eastern Europe? Answer, no. Question, based on these documents,
• 9:38
Speaker 1: it looks like Mr. Epstein introduced a young woman from
• 9:41
Speaker 1: Eastern Europe to you and Mr. Mountbatten-Windsor. Your testimony today
• 9:46
Speaker 1: is that you don't remember if that happened, correct? Answer, correct. Question,
• 9:51
Speaker 1: but it could have. Answer, I don't remember. Question, I'd
• 9:54
Speaker 1: like to discuss a series of emails that you were
• 9:57
Speaker 1: asked about in the prior round. You know, you've answered
• 10:00
Speaker 1: some questions about these, but I have some follow-up questions
• 10:02
Speaker 1: for you. I'd like to introduce as Minority Exhibit E,
• 10:06
Speaker 1: an email chain between you and Mr. Epstein from July 9th, 2010.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: The Bates number is EFTA00894090. Question, In the first email,
• 10:20
Speaker 1: you write to Mr. Epstein, quote, that was fun. Say
• 10:23
Speaker 1: hi to Snow White. Mr. Epstein responds, quote, what character
• 10:27
Speaker 1: would you like next? To which you reply, quote, Beauty
• 10:30
Speaker 1: and the Beast. Mr. Epstein then says, quote, well, one
• 10:34
Speaker 1: side is available. You said in the prior round that
• 10:37
Speaker 1: you have no idea who this person is, specifically who
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Snow White is. Is that correct? Answer, that's correct. Question
• 10:45
Speaker 1: I'd like to introduce as Minority Exhibit F. An email
• 10:48
Speaker 1: from the next day, July 10th, 2010. The Bates number
• 10:53
Speaker 1: is EFTA 007-41531. Question. The email is from a redacted
• 11:00
Speaker 1: individual to Mr. Epstein saying, quote, the Snow White was
• 11:03
Speaker 1: fucked twice as soon as she put her costume on.
• 11:07
Speaker 1: To be clear, the word is spelled F dot dot
• 11:10
Speaker 1: dot E-D, but we understand it to mean fucked. Mr. Staley.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: Was the Snow White who you referred to in the
• 11:18
Speaker 1: email the day before a young woman in a Snow
• 11:21
Speaker 1: White costume that Mr. Epstein arranged for you to have
• 11:24
Speaker 1: sex with? Answer again. I don't recall a Snow White individual,
• 11:28
Speaker 1: so the answer would be no. Question. Did you ever
• 11:31
Speaker 1: have sex with a young woman in a Snow White costume? Answer. No,
• 11:35
Speaker 1: I did not. Question. Never. Answer. Never. Question. Why would
• 11:40
Speaker 1: this young woman have sent this email to Mr. Epstein
• 11:43
Speaker 1: if the two of you had not had sex while
• 11:46
Speaker 1: she was wearing a Snow White costume, and if Mr.
• 11:49
Speaker 1: Epstein had not instructed her to do so? Answer, I
• 11:52
Speaker 1: have no idea who else she was with. It has
• 11:55
Speaker 1: nothing to do with me, though. Question, but you sent
• 11:57
Speaker 1: an email to Mr. Epstein on July 9th. Answer, as
• 12:01
Speaker 1: I said, I may have. This is in his apartment.
• 12:05
Speaker 1: I may have seen her in the apartment and prompted
• 12:06
Speaker 1: that email, but I would not. But I was not
• 12:09
Speaker 1: with a person dressed as Snow White outside of potentially
• 12:12
Speaker 1: crossing at his apartment. Question, so you may have seen
• 12:15
Speaker 1: her in his apartment, later emailed Mr. Epstein and said,
• 12:19
Speaker 1: that was fun, but it was not because you had
• 12:21
Speaker 1: sex with her? Answer, that's correct. Question, why would you
• 12:25
Speaker 1: have asked Mr. Epstein to say hi to her then? Answer, maybe, I,
• 12:30
Speaker 1: you know, again, I probably crossed her in his apartment,
• 12:33
Speaker 1: I don't know, just to say hi. Question, and then
• 12:36
Speaker 1: she emails him the next day saying, quote, the Snow
• 12:38
Speaker 1: White was fucked twice as soon as she put on
• 12:41
Speaker 1: the costumes. Would you agree that that's a pretty incredible
• 12:44
Speaker 1: coincidence that you email him on July 9th saying that
• 12:48
Speaker 1: was fun? Say hi to Snow White. And then she
• 12:51
Speaker 1: emails him the next day reporting back on something that
• 12:54
Speaker 1: just didn't have anything to do with you. Answer. Sure.
• 12:58
Speaker 1: Why not? Question. That's pretty hard to believe. His lawyer
• 13:02
Speaker 1: jumps in. That's not a question. All right, folks, we're
• 13:06
Speaker 1: going to wrap up right here. And in the next
• 13:08
Speaker 1: episode dealing with the topic, we're going to pick up
• 13:10
Speaker 1: where we left off. All the information that goes with
• 13:13
Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box.
