Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Danny and Cole 97 one Hank FM would.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Sell lefty in Boston.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We had our special guest Gally in the studio yesterday
- 0:08Speaker 1: turning 10 years old.
- 0:10Speaker 2: And she said that was one of her favorites.
- 0:11Speaker 3: That's her favorite, yeah.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Right now. So we got to play it for her
- 0:14Speaker 2: to start the show.
- 0:14Speaker 1: But did you also see the follow-up messages we got
- 0:17Speaker 1: on Facebook after she left the studio yesterday?
- 0:20Speaker 2: So 10 years old, she's going to go to, was
- 0:21Speaker 2: it Fogo de Chao?
- 0:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:23Speaker 2: For lunch to celebrate her birthday.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Well, they had some time to kind of like pass
- 0:27Speaker 1: between being in here with us in the morning show
- 0:30Speaker 1: when that opened up. And so I guess they got
- 0:33Speaker 1: on some scooters downtown and she wiped out, ended up
- 0:36Speaker 1: having to get four stitches.
- 0:38Speaker 2: In her chin.
- 0:39Speaker 5: No!
- 0:40Speaker 1: No, that is not the way you probably want to
- 0:44Speaker 1: spend your 10th birthday. I didn't get a follow up
- 0:46Speaker 1: if that was before or after. Or like, did they
- 0:48Speaker 1: still get to eat the Fogo to chow?
- 0:51Speaker 2: You know what I mean?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Might be tougher.
- 0:54Speaker 1: This feels like something that I would have done on
- 0:55Speaker 1: my 10th birthday, though. I was always wiping out on things.
- 0:59Speaker 3: And those scooters go, they're fast.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I don't know how anyone's brave enough to get on them.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Like she was telling us, she's pretty brave. She's on
- 1:08Speaker 1: her four-wheeler all the time and rides with her brother
- 1:11Speaker 1: on his motorcycle.
- 1:12Speaker 2: So it doesn't surprise me that she was on this scooter.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15Speaker 1: But I, as an adult looking at them, I'm like,
- 1:18Speaker 1: I don't think I'm ever getting... Especially not downtown.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Who was it? There was one of the like.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Was it Seth Meyers?
- 1:24Speaker 3: Seth Meyers. I think it was Seth Meyers who wiped
- 1:26Speaker 3: out real bad.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Yeah. When he was in Indianapolis. Like, I don't think.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. I'm not getting at him.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We've got tickets for you to win again today, this morning.
- 1:35Speaker 3: Oh, we do.
- 1:36Speaker 5: We've got more Indy 11 tickets. It is Pups at
- 1:39Speaker 5: the Pitch coming up on Sunday against Oakland. And we've
- 1:42Speaker 5: got a family floor pack for you coming up here
- 1:44Speaker 5: in about a half hour, maybe 35 minutes, because we're
- 1:47Speaker 5: always a little bit late.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Somewhere between 6.35 and 6.45. That's my fault. Trans-American Orchestra
- 1:52Speaker 3: tickets as well.
- 1:53Speaker 5: And the Ghosts of Christmas Eve tour is coming to
- 1:57Speaker 5: Gainbridge Fieldhouse on December 22nd for two shows, 3 p.m.
- 2:01Speaker 3: We love a 3 p.m. show. 3 p.m. and a
- 2:04Speaker 3: 7.30 show as well. Chance for you to win tickets
- 2:06Speaker 3: coming up just after 8 today with the New Country keyword.
- 2:09Speaker 1: And we didn't get a winner for New Country Cash yesterday.
- 2:11Speaker 1: That means $ 1, 000 is in that jackpot today. Make sure
- 2:15Speaker 1: you're signed up at HankFM.com or the free app.
- 2:18Speaker 3: They did what?
- 2:21Speaker 5: I had actually my friend who sent me this is
- 2:23Speaker 5: coming into town today. He was in a fraternity when
- 2:26Speaker 5: we were at IU and he was so upset by this.
- 2:30Speaker 5: He was like, have you seen the latest trend at
- 2:34Speaker 5: fraternity parties?
- 2:36Speaker 3: I go, I have. I think I know what you're
- 2:39Speaker 3: talking about.
- 2:40Speaker 5: The latest trend on college campuses is a wellness darty.
- 2:44Speaker 5: Now we used to do darties quite often, but they
- 2:47Speaker 5: were not like this. That is a daytime party with
- 2:51Speaker 5: No drinks. And instead it's like Pilates or yoga or
- 2:56Speaker 5: a run and an ice bath. And then everybody gets
- 2:58Speaker 5: coffee afterwards. He was so upset. I don't.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 2: We always have these stories, right?
- 3:05Speaker 1: Like, you know, when I was in college or when
- 3:07Speaker 1: I was in school, I honestly don't remember doing a
- 3:10Speaker 1: single healthy thing when I was in college.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Oh, no, no. I think the only thing I can
- 3:17Speaker 5: think of is I would go play pickup basketball.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And Okay, I was, yeah, I was in like an
- 3:21Speaker 2: intramural league of sorts.
- 3:24Speaker 5: And I most of the time walked to class and
- 3:27Speaker 5: didn't take the bus.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Yeah, especially freshman year. I feel like my, I had
- 3:31Speaker 2: an 8 a.m.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Class.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It was on the other side of campus. So I
- 3:34Speaker 2: got some, you're right, I got some steps in. But
- 3:36Speaker 2: I was eating like meat out of a bag.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Yes, I was going to say everything.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Like in brownies and like.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I ate or drank was not good for me.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I was definitely not going to.
- 3:44Speaker 3: What did we call this? A wellness darty.
- 3:46Speaker 5: No. No.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Cannot wait for pups at the pitch this Sunday. It's
- 3:54Speaker 1: all going down in the 11 versus Oakland roots. We've
- 3:56Speaker 1: got a family for packet tickets for you to win
- 3:59Speaker 1: your way in.
- 4:01Speaker 5: If you can name that pop this morning, text your
- 4:04Speaker 5: answer to us.
- 4:04Speaker 3: 3 1 7 6 6 3 97 97. He is
- 4:05Speaker 3: a very loyal dog to Woody in the movies. Toy story.
- 4:07Speaker 3: He is a toy dog.
- 4:18Speaker 5: He also has a ride at Hollywood Studios in Disney
- 4:23Speaker 5: World that was my niece's favorite.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Can you name that pup? This morning. It was a
- 4:28Speaker 3: good ride.
- 4:29Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 4:30Speaker 3: He is the very loyal dog of Woody in the
- 4:32Speaker 3: movie's Toy Story.
- 4:32Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Text your answer. Good luck.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Tickets are available for you to purchase to the Indy
- 4:45Speaker 1: 11 match this weekend.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Indy11. com. Or you can just win your way into Pups
- 4:49Speaker 2: at the pitch on Sunday.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Indy 11, Oakland Roots playing each other in a four-pack
- 4:54Speaker 1: of tickets up for grabs right now with Annie and Cole.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Can you name that Pup this morning?
- 4:58Speaker 5: It is the very loyal dog to Woody in the
- 5:02Speaker 5: movie Toy Story. Also has a ride at Hollywood Studios
- 5:06Speaker 5: in Orlando for Disney.
- 5:09Speaker 3: That puppy is.
- 5:10Speaker 1: I second guess is his name just is it just
- 5:12Speaker 1: slinky is it okay slinky i didn't know if there's
- 5:15Speaker 1: more to his name than that.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Yeah i know slinky slinky dog both would have worked
- 5:19Speaker 5: congratulations to our winner this morning uh we did his
- 5:22Speaker 5: ride there at disney at hollywood studios and it was
- 5:25Speaker 5: my niece's favorite ride so she wanted to go on
- 5:28Speaker 5: it again and again and again and again and the
- 5:32Speaker 5: second time we went on it we're like man this
- 5:35Speaker 5: line is taking like way longer than it did last
- 5:38Speaker 5: time and it was just me my wife and her
- 5:41Speaker 5: and my sister and my parents waited off to the
- 5:44Speaker 5: side and we get finally get on and off the
- 5:47Speaker 5: ride and we're like what took so long do you
- 5:49Speaker 5: guys know what took so long and they're like yeah
- 5:51Speaker 5: they stopped the line for.
- 5:54Speaker 3: A whatever period of time because.
- 5:56Speaker 5: Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki Wanted to get on with
- 6:00Speaker 5: his family.
- 6:01Speaker 3: I'm like, what? How did we miss that? Annie and Cole.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I know you're mad.
- 6:06Speaker 4: I know you're upset.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Listen.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Are you mad?
- 6:12Speaker 3: I'm very mad! 97.1 Hank FM.
- 6:14Speaker 1: At what point do we all just collectively tell our
- 6:16Speaker 1: bosses we can't come into work today because gas is
- 6:19Speaker 1: too expensive?
- 6:20Speaker 5: I stopped this morning and I didn't even fill all
- 6:23Speaker 5: the way up because.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not. I can't do this.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Because it's dumb.
- 6:26Speaker 3: No.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's so like, I know a game they play. I
- 6:29Speaker 1: know that in my experience, I have to get gas
- 6:32Speaker 1: at least once a week because I drive here. So
- 6:34Speaker 1: I know that usually Tuesday is when the gas prices
- 6:37Speaker 1: start to go up.
- 6:38Speaker 2: But this week I was like, okay, they went up, right?
- 6:40Speaker 2: They went up 30, 40 cents, whatever it was.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I was driving home yesterday and I was like, I'm
- 6:46Speaker 1: going to go let the dogs out.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Then I'm going to go out and get gas.
- 6:48Speaker 1: So just in the time that I did that gas,
- 6:51Speaker 1: then went up another 50 cents, $ 4.
- 6:53Speaker 5: What I, what, We all should probably do and that
- 6:57Speaker 5: I don't do is get gas when it does seem
- 7:01Speaker 5: the cheapest rather than I.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Wait until I desperately need gas.
- 7:05Speaker 2: My gas light was on.
- 7:06Speaker 3: I don't have another option.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I was driving home yesterday and the gas light came on.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Then I had to go get gas. And then while
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm there pumping gas. I swear it was the slowest
- 7:16Speaker 1: gas pump I've ever been in my life. And I
- 7:18Speaker 1: literally just, I thought I was talking to myself like
- 7:21Speaker 1: in my head, but I said it all. I was like,
- 7:22Speaker 1: Oh my. And the lady next to me, like on
- 7:25Speaker 1: the other side of the pump, she's like, cause it's
- 7:27Speaker 1: so slow. I was like, yeah, why is it so slow?
- 7:29Speaker 1: She's like, yeah, it was so slow that my car
- 7:32Speaker 1: just died. And now waiting for AAA to pick me up.
- 7:34Speaker 2: And I was like, you win.
- 7:36Speaker 3: That's worse.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Could you imagine? I'm like, do you need a ride somewhere?
- 7:40Speaker 1: She's like, no, I'm just going to wait this one out.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And I was like, that is, Freaking terrible. Because one,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it's 90 degrees and your car is dead. And you're
- 7:47Speaker 1: sitting in it waiting for AAA to come. I was like,
- 7:50Speaker 1: at least go in the gas station. Get yourself a
- 7:51Speaker 1: little treat. Yeah, I probably just would have locked the
- 7:53Speaker 1: car and went in. Lock yourself in the car and
- 7:56Speaker 1: just take me to. I don't know.
- 7:59Speaker 2: And then, I mean, we just have regular gas.
- 8:01Speaker 1: The price of diesel has been insane all summer long.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And I don't know. At some point, are we just
- 8:07Speaker 2: going to be priced out of our lives?
- 8:09Speaker 3: Do you really want to know? Annie and Cole want
- 8:11Speaker 3: to know.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I've had two separate experiences where my husband and I
- 8:16Speaker 1: have talked about ringtones for your phone in the past
- 8:19Speaker 1: couple of weeks. And I don't know the last time
- 8:22Speaker 1: I've actually used a ringtone. The first one was I
- 8:24Speaker 1: was in Philly sitting in a park and this man
- 8:27Speaker 1: next to me, his phone rang and it was Rebus,
- 8:29Speaker 1: a single mom who works two jobs.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I was like, well, that's an interesting ringtone.
- 8:33Speaker 3: That's a good one.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Ringtone for you, sir. But I love it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: And then we were at the Colts game and we
- 8:38Speaker 1: both just heard this starting.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And he looked at.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Me because this used to be my ringtone for the
- 8:45Speaker 2: longest time. Because I thought it was so annoying.
- 8:48Speaker 5: I'm like....
- 8:52Speaker 1: I don't think, I don't know if they say anything
- 8:54Speaker 1: else in that song.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 8:56Speaker 5: I remember him saying it a couple of times, but
- 8:57Speaker 5: I didn't remember him just saying it over and over
- 9:00Speaker 5: and over and over.
- 9:01Speaker 2: But there used to be a time where you would
- 9:03Speaker 2: pay for a ringtone.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You wouldn't even have a personal ringtone for every person
- 9:07Speaker 1: in your phone.
- 9:07Speaker 5: Or cause they were like a dollar a piece, maybe
- 9:10Speaker 5: a dollar 99 if you were getting like a really
- 9:12Speaker 5: popular song, but you were asking about this. And so
- 9:14Speaker 5: I got onto my phone and I was like, I
- 9:16Speaker 5: don't even know where to find ringtones anymore. I don't
- 9:18Speaker 5: even know where you find to buy ringtones anymore.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Unless they're like the one that comes on the phone. Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I don't know where to buy an actual song. So
- 9:25Speaker 1: do you still do this? Do you still buy ringtones
- 9:27Speaker 1: for your phone?
- 9:28Speaker 2: Do you have one on your phone right now?
- 9:30Speaker 3: I don't.
- 9:30Speaker 5: My phone is on silent most of the time. But
- 9:32Speaker 5: the one that comes to mind for me, I remember
- 9:35Speaker 5: specifically being in a middle school basketball locker room and
- 9:40Speaker 5: my ringtone was Young Jock, It's Going Down. Yeah.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Did you do the dance with it too?
- 9:49Speaker 3: It's like a little like.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Like, I met you in that club in middle school, man.
- 9:54Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Somebody call me. Let's play some music in here.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Do you still have a ringtone or do you remember
- 9:59Speaker 1: what song you always had as yours?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Do you really.
- 10:02Speaker 4: Want to know?
- 10:03Speaker 3: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 10:11Speaker 1: This is where we're going to get in trouble because
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm just keep playing inappropriate songs that aren't country radio.
- 10:16Speaker 2: We're talking about the old school ringtone you used to have.
- 10:20Speaker 5: 317-663-9797.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Morning, Annie and Cole. This is Emily. How are you.
- 10:23Speaker 4: Guys doing today? Good. What you got for us?
- 10:26Speaker 1: We're just going down a trip down memory lane this morning.
- 10:29Speaker 4: I know. And it is a fun one. I have
- 10:32Speaker 4: so much commentary on this one because I was a
- 10:35Speaker 4: huge fan of the ringtones. My personal one that I
- 10:38Speaker 4: remember getting on my I think it was like the
- 10:40Speaker 4: very first razor, my gold razor I had was Check
- 10:45Speaker 4: On It by Beyonce. And I was like, in middle school,
- 10:55Speaker 4: they're really probably very inappropriate. But I also want to
- 10:58Speaker 4: bring up, like, does anybody remember ringback tones? Because I
- 11:02Speaker 4: saw somebody the other day and it was a jump scare.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I haven't heard a ringback tone in so long.
- 11:08Speaker 2: So someone still had this?
- 11:10Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh. That's a throwback.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I like it.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Thank you guys so much. I hope you have a
- 11:17Speaker 4: great day.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I do feel like all of these ringtones probably were
- 11:21Speaker 1: just a little inappropriate for the age that we were
- 11:23Speaker 1: playing them.
- 11:24Speaker 5: I also remember being concerned about that as well and
- 11:27Speaker 5: never buying the explicit version of anything when I was
- 11:29Speaker 5: in middle school.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Never.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Always the clean version.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I still do that as an adult. I still freak
- 11:34Speaker 2: out when I get an unedited version.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Some more on the Armory Arrow text line at 317-663-9797.
- 11:41Speaker 5: This one says, ludicrous, move, get out the way.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I don't know. That one, I do need the edited version.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I don't trust myself to pull that one up because
- 11:50Speaker 2: there's a lot of move, get out the way.
- 11:53Speaker 3: That's right.
- 11:54Speaker 5: Yeah. This one says, I haven't bought one in a while,
- 11:57Speaker 5: but But my husband's was the American Horror Story theme song.
- 12:04Speaker 5: And I remember my cousin Grant, who I was just
- 12:08Speaker 5: at his bachelor party this past weekend. He used to
- 12:10Speaker 5: have the Saw theme song as his. This is the
- 12:18Speaker 5: American Horror Story one? Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 3: I don't like this show.
- 12:25Speaker 2: No, I don't like this.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Danny and Cole 97.1 Hank FM. Thank you for your
- 12:30Speaker 1: calls and texts on the ringtones on the Armored Text
- 12:35Speaker 1: Line at 317-663-9797 because Cole now has a whole entire
- 12:38Speaker 1: new running playlist.
- 12:39Speaker 3: I'm very excited about it.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I'm very excited about these songs that I listened to
- 12:43Speaker 5: in middle school to run to.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Coming back to you.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I love that all of them like had just like
- 12:48Speaker 1: one catchphrase in it that had a dance move that
- 12:50Speaker 1: went with it.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Yeah. As well.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 1: If you still want to get on the conversation, we're
- 12:55Speaker 1: talking about your first ringtones you can remember buying.
- 12:57Speaker 2: And do you still do that?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Because I did see on the Armory Attack sign, it
- 13:01Speaker 1: says that you can take your downloaded music and turn
- 13:04Speaker 1: them into ringtones on your phone right now.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Okay. It looks like that person uses Apple music.
- 13:09Speaker 2: So you maybe could try to do it. However, our
- 13:12Speaker 2: phones would then have to not be on silent.
- 13:14Speaker 3: My phone is always on silent.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It really is.
- 13:16Speaker 3: And my dog is used to that too.
- 13:18Speaker 5: So if we ever have anyone over at the house
- 13:19Speaker 5: whose phone is not on silent and they get a
- 13:21Speaker 5: call or a notification, he goes nuts.
- 13:24Speaker 3: So shocking, it'll make your jaw drop. He clicked on
- 13:27Speaker 3: it so you don't have to. It's Clickbait Cole on
- 13:32Speaker 3: Hank FM. Feels like a throwback Thursday today.
- 13:34Speaker 5: We were just talking middle school ringtones and now I
- 13:38Speaker 5: am telling you about this. Capri Sun, their usual pouch
- 13:43Speaker 5: of Liquid, I suppose.
- 13:45Speaker 3: As an adult, I can drink that in like two sips.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Just a squeeze and it's gone.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Two sips?
- 13:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 1: That takes me two tries. Like not two sips, like
- 13:52Speaker 1: two sittings. It's crazy to me.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I put it back in the fridge for later.
- 13:55Speaker 5: The only reason it should take you that long is
- 13:57Speaker 5: if you're like, this has a lot of sugar in it.
- 13:59Speaker 1: You know what?
- 14:00Speaker 2: It really does.
- 14:02Speaker 3: I need to break this up.
- 14:03Speaker 1: My niece, she's discovered Capri Sun Pacific Cooler as a kid.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I didn't think twice about it as an adult. I'm like, ooh. Also,
- 14:11Speaker 2: how have we not changed how the straw goes in?
- 14:14Speaker 5: It is.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I can't with a straw.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But if you are complaining because Capri Suns are too
- 14:19Speaker 5: small for you as an adult, good news. They are
- 14:22Speaker 5: making supersized versions of them. It's called the Big Pouch
- 14:26Speaker 5: and it is 20 ounces. It looks massive because the
- 14:30Speaker 5: one that.
- 14:30Speaker 2: How do you hold it? Like, how big is it
- 14:31Speaker 2: in your hand?
- 14:33Speaker 3: I have a picture.
