- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, we are fully in the NFL season now, so
- 0:04Speaker 1: we have reached the point of where we're hitting bye weeks, injuries.
- 0:10Speaker 1: All of these things are happening, and they are affecting
- 0:13Speaker 1: our teams, your teams, and all that stuff. So we're
- 0:15Speaker 1: going to try to help you out with all of
- 0:17Speaker 1: that and let you know how round two of me
- 0:21Speaker 1: versus Thor went this past week in this week's episode
- 0:24Speaker 1: of Fantasy Freakin' Football.
- 0:26Speaker 2: The one that hurts you.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Did every guy on your bench go off? Did you
- 0:34Speaker 3: decide to set your top scorer because you had a hunch?
- 0:39Speaker 3: Did your drafting a kicker in the first round strategy
- 0:42Speaker 3: not pay off?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Then this is the.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Show for you. Now here to help you set your
- 0:49Speaker 3: lineups every week, it's Eddie and Thor with Fantasy Frickin' Football.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Oh, man. The tale of fantasy has really been a
- 1:00Speaker 1: roller coaster this year. I don't know what's going on.
- 1:03Speaker 1: This year, for me and for you, the ups and
- 1:06Speaker 1: downs are crazy. I mean, it's from week to week, really.
- 1:10Speaker 1: And now I'm totally screwed, but we'll get into that
- 1:13Speaker 1: in just a second. So the previous week, Thor and
- 1:16Speaker 1: I met for the first time in one of our leagues,
- 1:18Speaker 1: and I got the W in that one. Now, last week,
- 1:22Speaker 1: we played again in a different league, and this time,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you got the dub and it wasn't even close to
- 1:27Speaker 1: be honest with you. You, you, you had a very
- 1:31Speaker 1: interesting week because in one league you played Bucky Irving, obviously.
- 1:36Speaker 1: And then in another league, same thing where you sat him.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:40Speaker 4: I didn't want to go all in on him because
- 1:41Speaker 4: he's been so up and down. And then during the week,
- 1:44Speaker 4: the offensive coordinator came out and said, we want to
- 1:46Speaker 4: get Sean Tucker more carries.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So I was like, yeah. So I'm like, Oh man,
- 1:51Speaker 2: it's just, it's just, And they were playing, shoot, who
- 1:53Speaker 2: did they freak out?
- 1:54Speaker 1: Cowboys.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They're playing the Cowboys.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Thursday night football.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So I'm thinking, okay, in Dallas, Thursday night, they want
- 1:59Speaker 4: to get Sean Tucker more carries.
- 2:00Speaker 1: They were winless.
- 2:01Speaker 2: They were winless.
- 2:01Speaker 4: The Bucs, Sean Tucker and Gainwell both had touchdowns the
- 2:05Speaker 4: previous week. And I'm thinking it's going to be a
- 2:07Speaker 4: blowout and they're not going to run the ball. So
- 2:10Speaker 4: I have to start in one league. I'm not going
- 2:12Speaker 4: to start in the other.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Why did you have to play him against me, though?
- 2:15Speaker 2: Because I don't have another running back.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I know.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Because Saquon... And then.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I started Jordan Love at the last second over Kyler Murray,
- 2:21Speaker 4: which helped me. But I started Mike Kosicki over Isaiah Likely.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Well, yeah. So to finish the point about Bucky Irving,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you play Bucky Irving. He gets you like 40 points.
- 2:35Speaker 1: And it's Thursday night, too. So, I mean, I was
- 2:37Speaker 1: done after game one. I mean, I had no shot.
- 2:39Speaker 4: That being said, though, last week on the early Sunday
- 2:42Speaker 4: morning game, I got like 24 points from Jonathan Taylor.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And I was thinking, I'm sitting pretty, and then that
- 2:47Speaker 2: was it for the rest of it. You just never know.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I get it.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Trust me.
- 2:50Speaker 1: That's how I felt. Yeah, I get it. I was
- 2:52Speaker 1: 40 down. It's the worst. You had one guy.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Thursday game, I have three guys going on Thursday, and
- 2:58Speaker 4: I freaking hate it.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I hate it. But anyway, sorry.
- 3:02Speaker 1: So, yeah. So, Bucky gets you 40. But then, in turn,
- 3:05Speaker 1: when you sat him in your other league, you had
- 3:06Speaker 1: 40 on the bench.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Which is awful.
- 3:08Speaker 1: That's brutal.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I ended up winning in that league.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Oh, you did? Yeah. Okay, well, then who cares?
- 3:12Speaker 2: Yeah, but.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I'm in a position where I want– I'm in like
- 3:16Speaker 4: right in the thick of it. So you want those points.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Sure.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And that stuff will come back to bite you.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I'll take a dub though over anything.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I get it. I get it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: So it's tough. So you beat me by like 37
- 3:25Speaker 1: points or something like that. You mean it was a blowout.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So I had no chance. I had no chance.
- 3:30Speaker 2: It should have been more.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Well, yeah. So then your start last week at tight
- 3:35Speaker 1: end was Mike Gusecki. And I thought this was a
- 3:37Speaker 1: brilliant move when he scored the touchdown right away.
- 3:40Speaker 4: I was like the third play of the game. And
- 3:42Speaker 4: it was the first pass by Burrow to Gusecki.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Touchdown. I was like, that son of a.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I was like, perfect.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I can't believe this.
- 3:48Speaker 4: And in my mind, Isaiah Likely, it was like hurricane
- 3:51Speaker 4: weather again for the third game in a row.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Him and Winston have been really off.
- 3:55Speaker 4: I just didn't... I was just bummed because Likely hasn't
- 3:58Speaker 4: really been Likely since week one.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And then he goes off for 32 points.
- 4:02Speaker 1: He was the top tight end fantasy scorer.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, and he was on my bench.
- 4:05Speaker 1: And he was on your bench. It didn't matter. You
- 4:07Speaker 1: still killed me.
- 4:08Speaker 3: No.
- 4:08Speaker 1: But I get it. But it's just a.
- 4:10Speaker 2: terrible feeling.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Well, yeah.
- 4:11Speaker 2: When you're just like, you got to be kidding me.
- 4:13Speaker 1: But you made pretty much all the right moves against
- 4:16Speaker 1: me in that, other than that. Other than that. Yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 1: picking up Jordan Love was a coup.
- 4:21Speaker 4: I got a lot, I just, for some reason, I
- 4:22Speaker 4: was like, I know the last couple weeks the Bears
- 4:25Speaker 4: defense has been good, but I just still don't trust them.
- 4:29Speaker 4: And it was in Green Bay, their season was kind
- 4:31Speaker 4: of on the line, and they took them out to
- 4:34Speaker 4: the woodshed, and him and Christian Watson just were all
- 4:37Speaker 4: over the place. And now, Jordan Love has The Cowboys,
- 4:41Speaker 4: the Lions, like bad defenses. I kind of got lucky
- 4:44Speaker 4: there for sure.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And who did you play him for? Was it Kyle Murray?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Who ended up getting like 18 points, but still not
- 4:51Speaker 2: with Jordan Love.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Jordan Love did way better. So yeah, it's been
- 4:56Speaker 1: pretty wild trying to figure this whole thing out. Well,
- 4:58Speaker 1: now in the league where you've just beaten me by 30,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm screwed. I mean, I am in massive trouble. I'm
- 5:05Speaker 1: in last place. I won the first two weeks, and
- 5:08Speaker 1: I was sitting– and I was like, okay, I'm going
- 5:10Speaker 1: to kill it. And then the last three weeks I've lost. Now,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it hasn't been as bad as where I'm at now,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but injuries have just decimated this team. And so– and
- 5:19Speaker 1: I have no move to make. I really don't know
- 5:22Speaker 1: what I'm going to do. So I'm sitting there, and
- 5:24Speaker 1: I'm projected– projected to lose– by 50 right now. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: haven't even played a game yet.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I know.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Like 50? I'm like, oh my God. So this is
- 5:35Speaker 1: where I'm at. I got to read you this lineup
- 5:36Speaker 1: because this is how bad it is.
- 5:37Speaker 3: It's rough.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Okay. So we're in bye week situation now. So, you know,
- 5:41Speaker 1: I know that we had the Chiefs and the Panthers
- 5:44Speaker 1: on bye last week. I don't, I think I have
- 5:47Speaker 1: anybody on either one of those teams. So it really
- 5:48Speaker 1: didn't affect me. I know it affected some people who've
- 5:50Speaker 1: got Mahomes or whoever, Kenneth Walker, guys like that, Ted McMillan.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But for me, it's really starting this week because we
- 5:58Speaker 1: got the Bengals, the Lions, Dolphins, and Vikings all on
- 6:02Speaker 1: by this week. And I have guys on, I think,
- 6:03Speaker 1: every single one of those teams. And so I'm just
- 6:06Speaker 1: sitting here going, oh, God, I have no wiggle room
- 6:09Speaker 1: as it is because of injury. So I'm just like,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I literally don't know what I'm going to do. Like,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I'm grasping at straws. So out this week for me,
- 6:19Speaker 1: I randomly have Aaron Jones on my team. who was
- 6:23Speaker 1: one of my late pickups, or I mean draft picks.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I wasn't ever really expecting even to play him.
- 6:29Speaker 2: But you kind of were forced to.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But then when Jordan Mason went down, and then I
- 6:34Speaker 1: had a couple of already guys that were banged up,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I was playing him. But now he's on by. So
- 6:39Speaker 1: I don't have Aaron Jones on by. My number one
- 6:41Speaker 1: draft pick this week or in the draft, was Amon
- 6:44Speaker 1: Ross St. Brown. He's down this week because he's on bye.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I made the trade. I talked about this last week.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I made the trade for Debo.
- 6:51Speaker 2: And he got hurt.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And he gets hurt immediately. Game one. I'm like, really?
- 6:55Speaker 1: So I don't have Debo. I also have Brees Hall,
- 6:58Speaker 1: who's been injured for now three weeks.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's not playing again, they just said.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I have Travis Etienne, Etienne, whatever you want to call him.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He's on injured reserve. He's on injured reserve. I mean,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I have Marvin Harrison Jr. Who just got traded. Who
- 7:11Speaker 1: got traded, who's barely going to play this week. So
- 7:13Speaker 1: that's my bench, okay? And then I also stored away
- 7:16Speaker 1: Zach Charbonnet, and I've been holding onto him. Hopefully he
- 7:20Speaker 1: comes in and plays.
- 7:20Speaker 2: They're saying he may get activated in week seven.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Which it doesn't help me this week.
- 7:24Speaker 2: No.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And so this is what I'm down to. So I
- 7:27Speaker 1: have Josh Allen. He's my... My savior, he's the only
- 7:30Speaker 1: guy that's going to score points for me. It is
- 7:31Speaker 1: what it is. So these are guys that I've either
- 7:34Speaker 1: pieced together or I didn't expect to play. I have
- 7:38Speaker 1: Blake Corum, who kind of got a little bit of action.
- 7:41Speaker 3: This past week.
- 7:42Speaker 2: He didn't have that many touches, but he got a touchdown.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Why would you? Kyron Williams is killing it. So why
- 7:45Speaker 1: would you play Blake Corum? So I get it, but
- 7:48Speaker 1: I mean, that's who I have. I randomly, because I
- 7:52Speaker 1: have no running backs after that, all my guys are hurt.
- 7:55Speaker 1: I went, who's out there? waiver wire who can i
- 7:57Speaker 1: pick up so i picked up keaton mitchell from the
- 8:00Speaker 1: chargers yeah because omari and hampton is i don't know
- 8:03Speaker 1: he's done he's kind of a bust they're splitting carries
- 8:06Speaker 1: between the three backs.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I don't understand hampton was supposed to be a really
- 8:10Speaker 4: good back yeah he's.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So mitchell i'm just kind of hoping he scores a
- 8:14Speaker 1: touchdown for me because he's kind of that guy.
- 8:16Speaker 4: They said There's a report from ESPN right now that
- 8:19Speaker 4: if the Chargers offense doesn't look better against the Chiefs,
- 8:22Speaker 4: then they're going to fire Mike McDaniel.
- 8:24Speaker 1: How crazy is that? He was supposed to be like.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Him and John Harbaugh were going to take over the league.
- 8:29Speaker 1: What the hell happened? I don't know, man. Then my
- 8:32Speaker 1: wide receivers this week are going to be Cortland Sutton
- 8:36Speaker 1: and Makai Lemon. That's all I got.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Makai Lemon.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Yeah. He was, again, I think he was my last pick. Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Just as a flyer, hoping big rookie season, whatever. That's tough.
- 8:47Speaker 1: But now I have to play him because I have
- 8:48Speaker 1: nobody else. And so my tight end has been awful
- 8:53Speaker 1: this whole season. And I was really big on Colston Loveland.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I really thought, you know, after last year. With Caleb,
- 9:01Speaker 1: he was going to have a big year. He hasn't
- 9:02Speaker 1: done anything. Literally, he's had one game where he had
- 9:05Speaker 1: a decent game. Other than that, nothing. So he's my
- 9:08Speaker 1: tight end. And then in my flex spot, I have
- 9:10Speaker 1: to play another tight end because this is all I have.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So I'm playing Jake Ferguson there. Oh, God. So, I mean, literally.
- 9:18Speaker 2: And he's been terrible.
- 9:19Speaker 1: He's been whatever. But I haven't needed him. He's a
- 9:22Speaker 1: backup tight end for a reason. And so that's my
- 9:25Speaker 1: starting lineup.
- 9:26Speaker 2: That's rough, Eddie.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Who are projected to score 90 points in a PPR league.
- 9:30Speaker 1: So that's terrible.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Ferguson's having a rough couple games.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm done, man. So I don't know. I'm hoping
- 9:38Speaker 1: these guys come. You never know, man. If Brees Hall
- 9:40Speaker 1: comes back and a couple of guys get healthy, I'll
- 9:43Speaker 1: be okay. I just got to survive a couple of
- 9:45Speaker 1: bye weeks, and then I'll be fine, I guess. I hope.
- 9:48Speaker 1: If not, I'm screwed. I'm dead.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You just never know.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Thank you for that wonderful advice. Thank you. That was
- 9:55Speaker 1: a great feeling.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Like Omar Cooper Jr. It might be activated. Who?
- 10:00Speaker 4: Omar Cooper Jr. He's the rookie wide receiver for the Jets.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I don't even know who that is.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Brandon Cooks.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:07Speaker 1: If I'm worrying about it, if I'm picking up Brandon Cooks,
- 10:10Speaker 1: I'm dead. I'm dead.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Dylan Sampson may come back.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Get out of here with your terrible waiver.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I'm just trying to help.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I don't want it. I'm done. I'm giving up. So yeah,
- 10:19Speaker 1: it's not even going great for me. In our other league,
- 10:22Speaker 1: our work league, I'm in first place. So it tells
- 10:24Speaker 1: you where we're at. Up and down. And then in
- 10:26Speaker 1: my OG league this past week, I was the highest
- 10:29Speaker 1: point scorer. So again, I'm dead in the water in one,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and then I'm doing great in the other two. How'd
- 10:34Speaker 1: your week go?
- 10:35Speaker 4: I went, for the first time since week one, I
- 10:37Speaker 4: won in three of the leagues.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Oh, that's good.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Because I started out 1-0, and then I went in
- 10:42Speaker 4: two of the leagues, three straight losses.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And then in the other league, I'm 2-3, 2-3, and 4-1.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:49Speaker 2: So I'm fine with it.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Aren't you in four leagues?
- 10:52Speaker 2: I don't count the family league.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh, so you don't even matter.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I'm in like fourth in that league.
- 10:56Speaker 1: What?
- 10:57Speaker 2: It's eight teams.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I mean, everyone's got a stacked team. Like, I don't
- 11:00Speaker 4: even count it. I want to win.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Yeah, obviously.
- 11:02Speaker 2: But then I found out yesterday that it's not PPR.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh, that's great. I wish I would
- 11:05Speaker 2: have known that.
- 11:06Speaker 1: You didn't even know? No.
- 11:07Speaker 2: I assumed it was PPR.
- 11:09Speaker 4: So I drafted like a, so I had Puka Nakua.
- 11:11Speaker 4: And I was like, why don't I have like 60 points?
- 11:13Speaker 4: And they go, oh, it's not PPR. He thinks it's
- 11:16Speaker 4: half point.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I go, it's not.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You don't even know?
- 11:18Speaker 2: He had 17 catches and I only had like 29 points.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Oh, geez.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yes, that was kind of annoying. So I could care
- 11:23Speaker 2: less about that league.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I gotcha.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 1: All right, let's get to your questions for the week.
- 11:29Speaker 1: You can hit us up on X at the show Eddie,
- 11:32Speaker 1: at the show Thor, or you can email us your
- 11:34Speaker 1: questions every week and we'll try to answer them. Of course,
- 11:37Speaker 1: we're in bi-week situation, so got a lot of issues
- 11:39Speaker 1: with that. Got a wide receiver question. Who to start
- 11:42Speaker 1: this week between DK Metcalf and Matthew Golden? Oh, man.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I'd probably lean Matthew Golden.
- 11:50Speaker 1: He's been great.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, he's been really good. And DK is so up
- 11:53Speaker 2: and down.
- 11:56Speaker 1: So you got Golden against Dallas on Sunday Night Football. Dallas'
- 11:59Speaker 1: defense is so bad. Yeah, DK's taking on Tampa. So, again,
- 12:03Speaker 1: Tampa's not great, but, I mean, it's not like Aaron
- 12:06Speaker 1: Rodgers is, you know, lighting up the world and looking
- 12:09Speaker 1: for DK.
- 12:10Speaker 2: No, DK's really had one great game.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Great? Yeah, I don't know if he had a great game.
- 12:14Speaker 1: He had a pretty good game.
- 12:15Speaker 2: But, yeah, I'd go Golden.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Golden's been solid. I think he's been really good.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I was looking at benching DK Metcalf. I don't
- 12:21Speaker 2: have another option for him.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm in that spot in one league, too. I
- 12:25Speaker 1: got another fantasy question. It says, at the quarterback spot,
- 12:28Speaker 1: who do you like this week between Dak Prescott and
- 12:30Speaker 1: Jordan Love?
- 12:31Speaker 4: I'm going Jordan Love. I don't think you can go
- 12:33Speaker 4: wrong with either, to be honest with you. But I
- 12:35Speaker 4: would take Jordan Love just because Dallas' defense is that bad.
- 12:38Speaker 1: And they're going against each other, so it's kind of interesting.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's tough. In my OG league, somebody dropped Dak.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And I went, huh.
- 12:47Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Is there a reason? I haven't really, you know, like.
- 12:53Speaker 1: locked in on his stats or anything like that this year,
- 12:55Speaker 1: because I don't have him in my league or anything
- 12:58Speaker 1: like that. So I was looking at him, and I'm like,
- 13:00Speaker 1: he hasn't been terrible. I mean, he's been not one
- 13:03Speaker 1: of the top fantasy scorers or anything like that. So
- 13:06Speaker 1: I'm thinking I might pick him up. Yeah. Because my
- 13:09Speaker 1: quarterback situation, I have Caleb Williams, and so he's been down.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I say he may come back, though, this week. Yeah,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I've been playing Jacoby Brissett, who's been OK. I mean,
- 13:17Speaker 1: he's not great, obviously. But is Dak a better option
- 13:21Speaker 1: than Jacoby? Probably. And with Caleb still questionable, not sure,
- 13:25Speaker 1: I might pick him up there. And so, yeah, between
- 13:29Speaker 1: the two, honestly, I don't know. I mean, it's kind
- 13:32Speaker 1: of a coin flip. You know, Jordan Love looked fantastic
- 13:35Speaker 1: last week, but it's not like he's been consistently great.
- 13:38Speaker 4: No, I just think Dallas' defense is so bad that,
- 13:41Speaker 4: especially now, like, I don't know why, somehow it's gotten
- 13:44Speaker 4: worse than it was in the beginning of the season.
- 13:46Speaker 4: like it keeps getting worse and worse. They just brought
- 13:47Speaker 4: in Mike Patton as like a consultant. I mean, what
- 13:50Speaker 4: a nightmare.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know, man. I don't know. I think
- 13:54Speaker 1: in that one, I would lean towards Dak just because
- 13:57Speaker 1: Dak has consistently put up better numbers. But I think
- 14:01Speaker 1: you're okay either way, to be honest with you. I
- 14:04Speaker 1: like your theory on the, on the defense, but, but yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 1: I don't know. That's a coin flip for me. You're
- 14:08Speaker 1: going to love this question. Running back start between your boy,
- 14:12Speaker 1: Cam Scadaboo and Romandre Stevenson this week.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Oh, Romandre Stevenson.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Listen.
- 14:16Speaker 1: You're done with Cam, huh?
- 14:18Speaker 4: I am kind of. Listen, the Giants can't run the ball.
- 14:21Speaker 4: I mean, they went into this season and they were
- 14:23Speaker 4: going to be a punch you in your mouth, run
- 14:24Speaker 4: the ball offense, but they don't have a good enough
- 14:26Speaker 4: running back. They're not run blocking pretty well, but Cam
- 14:30Speaker 4: Scadaboo is going to be a really good number two.
- 14:34Speaker 4: The Giants are eventually going to draft a running back
- 14:36Speaker 4: or get one for agency, and Scadaboo is going to
- 14:37Speaker 4: be that punisher in the fourth quarter.
- 14:39Speaker 1: As long as he's going to hold on to football.
- 14:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that's another thing. He's got four fumbles in five games.
- 14:43Speaker 4: He's not a great running back. And he has one
- 14:47Speaker 4: touchdown on the year. Once Dart went down, it kind
- 14:49Speaker 4: of killed their running game. I would go without Travion Henderson, too.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I'd go Stevenson.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, now let's think about matchups here, too. Because Giants
- 14:58Speaker 1: are taking on the Saints. Saints have been pretty poor lately.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Patriots are taking on the Jets, who have a pretty
- 15:04Speaker 1: good run defense. So there is a question there.
- 15:08Speaker 4: To me, history goes into this. And the Jets get
- 15:11Speaker 4: owned by the Patriots. Because I thought about that. But
- 15:13Speaker 4: I just trust the Patriots against the Jets. And also,
- 15:17Speaker 4: the Giants are going to have to change their offense
- 15:19Speaker 4: to a spread them out, throw the ball if they
- 15:21Speaker 4: want to score points.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I also like your theory, too. There's no Travion Henderson. So, Romandre,
- 15:28Speaker 1: he's going to get the touches.
- 15:29Speaker 4: If Travion Henderson was playing, I'd be like, he kind
- 15:32Speaker 4: of got to roll with Cam because Travion Henderson is
- 15:34Speaker 4: going to take up his snaps, but he's not playing.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And they do seem to mix the touches in the
- 15:39Speaker 1: backfield a lot more with the Giants.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:41Speaker 1: So, you got the other guys that are there.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I mean, this is like the worst running back for him.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I mean, what the hell?
- 15:48Speaker 1: You have a bunch of C-level guys.
- 15:50Speaker 2: C-level, yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 4: And then Scadaboo is like C +. He's more personality
- 15:54Speaker 4: than he is production.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Dang.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Sucks.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Ouch.
- 15:56Speaker 2: It sucks.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Stings. All right, let's get to our starts and sits
- 16:01Speaker 1: for the week. At quarterback, who's your start?
- 16:03Speaker 4: We just talked about him. I'm starting Jordan Love. I
- 16:05Speaker 4: think if he's available, pick him up. People dropped him
- 16:08Speaker 4: because he wasn't having a great start to the year.
- 16:10Speaker 4: But his next few games are crazy against bad defenses.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Like I said, he plays the Cowboys. And then he
- 16:16Speaker 4: plays the Lions.
- 16:17Speaker 2: And then he plays the Bills. These are all bad defenses.
- 16:19Speaker 2: So I'm starting Jordan Love this week.
- 16:21Speaker 1: My start this week, you're going to like. It's Jameis. Oh, no.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Jameis Winston. Listen, you look at the Saints. This is
- 16:28Speaker 1: all matchup. This is all based on matchup. It's a risk, man.
- 16:30Speaker 1: The Saints are giving up 30 points per game. Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 1: So their defense is not good. And Jameis does feel
- 16:38Speaker 1: like he's starting to figure it out, get the passing
- 16:41Speaker 1: game going. Malik Neighbors, who was my start last week,
- 16:44Speaker 1: by the way, had a big game. And so I
- 16:46Speaker 1: think that Jameis is starting to figure it out. He's
- 16:49Speaker 1: starting to play better. And I like the matchup against
- 16:51Speaker 1: the Saints this week.
- 16:52Speaker 4: Yeah, I hope so. I just, he's so inconsistent. Like,
- 16:55Speaker 4: I don't think there's any way he's the quarterback of
- 16:58Speaker 4: this team in a month.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Really?
- 17:00Speaker 4: He's just so, like, in the first half of that game,
- 17:02Speaker 4: he had 90.
- 17:02Speaker 1: You don't think he looked better?
- 17:03Speaker 4: In the first half, he had 96 passing yards. And
- 17:06Speaker 4: he should have had multiple pick sixes. And they just,
- 17:10Speaker 4: the Reds commanders just dropped him. But you could also,
- 17:14Speaker 4: I hate people going, but he's slugging it.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Like, eventually, right now, yes, you could start him. But
- 17:20Speaker 2: in a couple weeks when they start playing better teams
- 17:22Speaker 2: like the Texans, it's going to be a disaster.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But I also think you're looking at this from a
- 17:26Speaker 1: football win-loss standpoint, not fantasy. Yeah. This is what we're
- 17:29Speaker 1: talking about. We're talking about fantasy points.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Oh, I know.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So that's all I care about. I don't care if
- 17:33Speaker 1: you win or lose.
- 17:34Speaker 2: This week, okay.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's with any player. No, I get that.
- 17:37Speaker 2: This week I can see what you're saying with Jameis. Yeah,
- 17:39Speaker 2: for sure.
- 17:39Speaker 1: All right, who's your sit? Oh God.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Sit, bench, cut, get rid of them. Justin Herbert at
- 17:45Speaker 2: the Chiefs. Dude, they're going to be 0-6.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 17:48Speaker 4: The only good thing for the Chargers and your Charger
- 17:51Speaker 4: fans is if they keep losing, you're going to draft
- 17:53Speaker 4: Jeremiah Smith and you're going to have the best receiver
- 17:56Speaker 4: you maybe ever have had since Lance Allworth.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Wow.
- 17:58Speaker 2: I mean, this guy is unbelievable. Yeah. Like, so like,
- 18:01Speaker 2: that's the only positive that's going to come out of
- 18:03Speaker 2: this season.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Yeah. My sit this week is the guy that's coming
- 18:08Speaker 1: off a really big fantasy game. Um, made one of
- 18:11Speaker 1: the biggest bonehead plays ever to lose the game for them.
- 18:14Speaker 1: But if you're thinking that Jaden Daniels is back and
- 18:17Speaker 1: he's going to put up big fantasy points for me
- 18:19Speaker 1: every week and all that stuff, relax. I don't think
- 18:21Speaker 1: that's going to happen. In fact, I think the Commanders
- 18:24Speaker 1: are going to get owned by the 49ers on Monday
- 18:26Speaker 1: Night Football this week. And so I don't foresee Jaden
- 18:29Speaker 1: Daniels having this big fantasy week. So to me, he's
- 18:32Speaker 1: the sit. Running back, who's your start?
- 18:34Speaker 4: This guy has become like the best back in the
- 18:36Speaker 4: league in like the last couple of weeks. And it's
- 18:38Speaker 4: annoying because I drafted Rico Dalvidle. I'm talking about Jalen Warren.
- 18:42Speaker 2: He's on fire right now. So I'd start him against
- 18:45Speaker 2: the Bucs.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Okay, my start this week is we're, for some reason,
- 18:49Speaker 1: talking a lot about the Cowboys-Packers game. But I like
- 18:52Speaker 1: Javante Williams a lot this week. The Packers have given
- 18:55Speaker 1: up the second most fantasy points this year to running backs.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And so, you know, Javante, he could be... hit and
- 19:02Speaker 1: miss when it comes to yardage. He's always kind of
- 19:04Speaker 1: their goal line guy. He's usually scoring touchdowns, but I
- 19:07Speaker 1: actually think between the 20s this week, he's actually going
- 19:11Speaker 1: to have a big game. So I like Javante a
- 19:13Speaker 1: lot this week. Who's your sit?
- 19:14Speaker 4: I feel bad for this guy, and I hope he
- 19:16Speaker 4: gets traded eventually, but they won't. Jeremiah Love, man, he
- 19:20Speaker 4: hasn't even come.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Why do you feel bad for him?
- 19:23Speaker 4: Because he got drafted by a team that should not
- 19:25Speaker 4: have drafted a running back. They're in no position to
- 19:27Speaker 4: have a running back.
- 19:28Speaker 1: The coach.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Gave him 12 carries.
- 19:31Speaker 2: You drafted him third. They're not giving him carries.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Maybe he's not doing well enough.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I don't know. I would not.
- 19:37Speaker 1: I have him on one of my teams. He's really annoying.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I wouldn't touch him right now. I don't know what's
- 19:41Speaker 2: going on there.
- 19:42Speaker 1: He was my sit last week for the exact same reason.
- 19:44Speaker 2: In the giant Cardinal game, he wasn't on the field
- 19:46Speaker 2: for the final drive. Like, huh? And he was your
- 19:48Speaker 2: third pick in the draft.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Like, I don't understand it.
- 19:51Speaker 1: I don't... Unless we're missing something and, like, we're not
- 19:55Speaker 1: seeing something in practice or, like, he's just... I don't know.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 19:58Speaker 4: It just goes to show you with the draft, it's A,
- 20:02Speaker 4: you never know who's going to be good, and B,
- 20:03Speaker 4: it's where you get drafted. Because look at, like, some
- 20:06Speaker 4: of these.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Like, Marvin Harrison Jr., he got drafted by a bad organization. Like,
- 20:09Speaker 2: it's just.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Well, then you look at, in other words, like Patrick
- 20:11Speaker 1: Mahomes gets drafted in the perfect spot. The perfect spot.
- 20:14Speaker 4: It's all about, and this guy got drafted into a
- 20:16Speaker 4: terrible spot, and we all knew it when he got drafted.
- 20:18Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Mike said this week, we were just talking about it.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Omari and Hampton at this point. who was probably a
- 20:24Speaker 1: pretty high draft pick for you. I can't play him.
- 20:30Speaker 1: He's literally splitting carries with Keaton Mitchell and Kiami Vidal.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I mean, what the heck? I don't even understand. How
- 20:37Speaker 1: could that be? This guy was supposed to be the guy.
- 20:40Speaker 1: The running game was supposed to be much better because
- 20:42Speaker 1: of him. And you got Harbaugh there who loves to
- 20:44Speaker 1: run the football, and he hasn't done anything. Nothing. So
- 20:48Speaker 1: until he shows me something, he's got to be a sit,
- 20:51Speaker 1: which is brutal. at some point. Wide receiver, who's your start?
- 20:54Speaker 4: Eddie, if he could stay healthy, you're going to like this.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Mike Evans against the Commanders.
- 20:58Speaker 1: That game last week was incredible.
- 20:59Speaker 2: 10 catches, 113 yards, that touchdown last week. He was unstoppable.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Commanders have a hard time stopping anybody right now.
- 21:06Speaker 1: And that was against a very tough defense, too. Yeah. Oh, yeah,
- 21:09Speaker 1: the Seahawks.
- 21:10Speaker 2: So I would start Mike Evans this week.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Oh, he's a starter every week. My start this week
- 21:14Speaker 1: is a guy you're starting to see dividends from a
- 21:17Speaker 1: little bit where you've been wondering, where the heck has
- 21:19Speaker 1: this guy been? I don't understand why he's not producing.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Because he was one of those fantasy darling picks before
- 21:26Speaker 1: the draft that everybody was wondering, oh, is this guy
- 21:28Speaker 1: going to have this big year? I'm talking about Luther
- 21:30Speaker 1: Burden III. Luther Burden, again, he's been kind of non-existent
- 21:35Speaker 1: for the first four weeks. And then you started to
- 21:37Speaker 1: see he had a decent game. But hopefully Caleb's back.
- 21:42Speaker 1: And if Caleb's back tonight. They say he's going to play.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Then I like that. Then I like that. He's getting
- 21:46Speaker 1: more targets now. They're starting to utilize him a little
- 21:49Speaker 1: bit more. They're starting to see maybe Roma Dunze is
- 21:52Speaker 1: not as good as we thought. I don't know what's
- 21:54Speaker 1: going on. But Luther Burden, I think, is the guy
- 21:56Speaker 1: this week. Taking on Atlanta, who is, again, not a
- 21:59Speaker 1: great defense as well. So I actually think he's a
- 22:01Speaker 1: good start this week. Who's your sit?
- 22:03Speaker 2: This one hurts.
- 22:04Speaker 4: This is by far and away first quarter of the
- 22:06Speaker 4: season bust so far.
- 22:08Speaker 2: He could still turn it around.
- 22:10Speaker 4: This is the one guy on my team that I
- 22:12Speaker 4: drafted that isn't injured, but he's just a flat-out bust.
- 22:15Speaker 2: I'm talking about Jalen Waddell. He's been awful.
- 22:18Speaker 4: He's had one okay game, and most of the time he's–
- 22:21Speaker 4: and I don't know if it's his fault or if–
- 22:24Speaker 4: Sean Payton just took over play calling, but they look
- 22:27Speaker 4: like they are over Bo Nix.
- 22:28Speaker 2: I don't know what happened to Bo Nix.
- 22:30Speaker 4: But there's been multiple times during the game last week
- 22:32Speaker 4: against the Chargers where Jalen Waddell is visibly frustrated.
- 22:35Speaker 2: So I don't know what's going on.
- 22:36Speaker 1: You heard when I was going over my lap, I
- 22:38Speaker 1: have Courtland Sutton. That's not working out well for me either.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No, I don't get it.
- 22:42Speaker 1: I don't know. What happened? It's weird. I don't really
- 22:45Speaker 1: get it either. My sit this week is a guy
- 22:47Speaker 1: who's having a great first quarter of the season. I
- 22:51Speaker 1: just don't love the matchup this week. I'm talking about
- 22:54Speaker 1: Garrett Wilson. Now, Garrett has been great, which is kind
- 22:58Speaker 1: of surprising because the Jets aren't that good. And we
- 23:02Speaker 1: know Geno Smith isn't that good. But he's getting touches.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Now, the Patriots may be without both corners, though.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Again, we're not sure. That will help. We're not sure.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'm assuming they're going to play, but if they don't,
- 23:12Speaker 1: that will help. But Patriots, it seems they've turned their
- 23:16Speaker 1: season around. I mean, we looked at them the first
- 23:18Speaker 1: couple of weeks, and you're like, oh. Boy, they're not good.
- 23:21Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know what's going on. But they've
- 23:23Speaker 1: looked a lot better the last few weeks. Defense is
- 23:25Speaker 1: playing better. So it just made me go, ooh, that
- 23:27Speaker 1: makes me a little bit concerned for Garrett. But we'll
- 23:29Speaker 1: see on that. Tight end, who's your start?
- 23:31Speaker 4: I'm never benching him again. Isaiah Likely. Now, because I'm
- 23:35Speaker 4: starting him, he's going to bite me in the ass
- 23:37Speaker 4: and suck.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Of course.
- 23:38Speaker 2: But you're right.
- 23:38Speaker 4: They're playing the Saints. They're going to give up a
- 23:40Speaker 4: lot of points. I'm starting Isaiah Likely. I actually saw
- 23:42Speaker 4: him on a waiver wire recently in.
- 23:45Speaker 1: One of my leagues. Oh, wow.
- 23:46Speaker 2: But I think it was– I don't know. I got
- 23:48Speaker 2: to go back and look because that would be crazy.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Well, it's so interesting seeing that guy on the field
- 23:54Speaker 1: because he's a glorified wide receiver. I mean, you see
- 23:58Speaker 1: him standing next to certain wide receivers and he's smaller.
- 24:01Speaker 1: And I'm like, how is that guy a tight end?
- 24:03Speaker 4: I don't understand why the Ravens would let him go.
- 24:05Speaker 4: And also, I don't understand why For four years, they
- 24:08Speaker 4: didn't realize what they had with him.
- 24:10Speaker 2: And it's the same coach with the Giants. Yeah, I
- 24:12Speaker 2: don't know. So you could have played this two tight
- 24:15Speaker 2: end with Andrews and likely.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I don't get it. Yeah, it's strange. I mean, he's
- 24:18Speaker 1: basically a wide receiver, too. I mean, have Andrews block.
- 24:21Speaker 2: I know.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. My start this week is Dalton Kincaid.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You can clearly see that Josh Allen likes throwing to him.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I believe he finds the end zone this week. taking
- 24:32Speaker 1: on the Raiders. I just, the Bills are playing really
- 24:34Speaker 1: good football and they're coming off a huge high getting
- 24:37Speaker 1: that win against LA. So I like Dalton Kincaid this week.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Who's your sit?
- 24:41Speaker 2: Eddie, I'm sorry. Jake Ferguson. He hasn't been great.
- 24:44Speaker 1: I need him to cut through this week. Come on, bro.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I think this will be the, um, the CD lamb show.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Maybe hopefully George Pickens for me gets a couple of catches,
- 24:52Speaker 4: but that's all Jake. But I don't think Jake Ferguson's
- 24:55Speaker 4: going to do much. I think I have like two
- 24:57Speaker 4: catches last week and, A lot of drops. He had
- 25:00Speaker 4: like two tip.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Balls in the air. One cost him the game.
- 25:03Speaker 1: It's not his fault.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I mean, they hit him in the hands.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Well, then I'm going to go with the tight end
- 25:09Speaker 1: on the other side, Tucker Kraft. Tucker Kraft seems to
- 25:14Speaker 1: be a little bit of the missing man syndrome. You
- 25:17Speaker 1: got Christian Watson there. You got Matthew Golden there. You
- 25:19Speaker 1: got a lot of mouths to feed. And so Tucker Kraft,
- 25:23Speaker 1: he's got only one touchdown on the season. I don't know. Again,
- 25:28Speaker 1: that game is going to be very interesting because we've
- 25:30Speaker 1: mentioned them, that game, players from that game. Multiple times
- 25:34Speaker 1: this episode. So I'm going to be, now I wasn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: really caring that much about that game, but now I'm
- 25:39Speaker 1: locked in because I want to see how my boy
- 25:41Speaker 1: Jake Ferguson goes off in that game. So we'll see
- 25:45Speaker 1: what happens. Hopefully you'll survive some of these bye weeks.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Hopefully you survive some of these injury situations and you
- 25:51Speaker 1: go out there and get a win.
