- Lucas: Welcome back to Learn Italian with Fexingo. I'm Lucas, and with me is Luna. Luna: Hey everyone! Ready for another park adventure? Lucas: Today we're going to describe a butterfly. We've done butterflies before, but let's add a few new phrases. Luna: Oh, I love butterflies. They're so colorful. Lucas: Exactly. So first, the word for butterfly: la farfalla. Luna: La farfalla. Lucas: Good. And the wings: le ali. Luna: Le ali. Lucas: Now, a simple sentence: La farfalla è bella. The butterfly is beautiful. Luna: La farfalla è bella. Lucas: Perfect. Now, to say the wings are colorful: Le ali sono variopinte. Luna: Le ali sono variopinte. That's a nice word. Lucas: It is. And the butterfly flies: La farfalla vola. Luna: La farfalla vola. Lucas: And finally, an exclamation: Che bella farfalla! What a beautiful butterfly! Luna: Che bella farfalla! I can use that. Lucas: Let's practice them all. Lucas: Excellent. Now let's use them in a little scene. Imagine we're at the park and we see a butterfly. Luna: Okay, I'll start. Oh, guarda! Una farfalla! Lucas: Che bella farfalla! Le ali sono variopinte. Luna: Sì, la farfalla è bella. E vola. Lucas: Perfetto. See how it flows? You're doing great. Luna: Thanks. I like saying 'le ali sono variopinte'. Lucas: It's a lovely phrase. Now, let's mix it up a bit. What if the butterfly is not beautiful? We could say 'La farfalla non è bella.' But let's stick with positive today. Luna: Yeah, butterflies are always beautiful. Lucas: Right. So, let's do a quick recap. I'll say the English, you say the Italian. Luna: Okay. Lucas: The butterfly. Luna: La farfalla. Lucas: The wings. Luna: Le ali. Lucas: The butterfly is beautiful. Luna: La farfalla è bella. Lucas: The wings are colorful. Luna: Le ali sono variopinte. Lucas: The butterfly flies. Luna: La farfalla vola. Lucas: What a beautiful butterfly! Luna: Che bella farfalla! Lucas: Fantastic. You really have those down. Luna: It's fun. And I love that we can describe things now. Lucas: That's the goal.
