- 0:42Speaker 1: back to our interview.
- 0:43Speaker 2: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:46Speaker 2: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Hey, it's Almost Famous podcast. Been here. We're at the
- 0:51Speaker 1: reunion special with the Bachelor in Paradise cast. I have
- 0:58Speaker 1: the honor edge the pleasure of sitting down with some
- 1:03Speaker 1: of the winners from this season. Andrew and Alex you
- 1:08Speaker 1: have been here forever. You are tired, So I hope
- 1:11Speaker 1: you say all the things that we want to hear. Yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and with.
- 1:18Speaker 3: And tired, we'll just wear you out, wear you out.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Tom. We did sit through the reunion today. Ye I
- 1:27Speaker 1: am going to touch on a few things where there
- 1:28Speaker 1: was some controversy surrounding you two. I didn't even know
- 1:31Speaker 1: that was going to be a part of today. I
- 1:32Speaker 1: didn't know that was even a thing. Really it was
- 1:35Speaker 1: so I need a lot of education on it, but
- 1:37Speaker 1: I'm going to start. It was something that well said.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And we love to quote Wells here. We respect Wells
- 1:43Speaker 1: and love Wells here at the Almost FAM's podcast he said,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and and this is no knock on any other couple here,
- 1:50Speaker 1: I want to be clear on that, but he said
- 1:51Speaker 1: that you two were the cutest couple to see born
- 1:56Speaker 1: from Paradise. How does that make you feel?
- 2:00Speaker 4: I mean, we did pay him, but out of a
- 2:05Speaker 4: pit check that we won.
- 2:06Speaker 5: But no, I think you know, he Wells was there
- 2:09Speaker 5: the whole time and he was able to observe all
- 2:11Speaker 5: of us, And I feel like coming from him meant
- 2:16Speaker 5: a lot. And I feel like a lot of a
- 2:18Speaker 5: lot of our conversations, a lot of our interactions weren't
- 2:21Speaker 5: shown on the screen unfortunately, and I wish we both
- 2:25Speaker 5: wish that that, I would say.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I would say the biggest thing though, is we hung
- 2:30Speaker 3: out with like the community. Yeah, so it was never
- 2:33Speaker 3: like one on one time with me and Alex. We
- 2:35Speaker 3: were together like next to each other, but we were
- 2:37Speaker 3: always with vaulved with everyone's conversation always like just like
- 2:42Speaker 3: a listening ear to whoever needs to be listening to you.
- 2:45Speaker 3: So like we were. We were just being good cast
- 2:47Speaker 3: mates at the same time. And also just like I
- 2:50Speaker 3: don't know, we just we're byd like you know when
- 2:52Speaker 3: you you're dating someone and you guys hang out in
- 2:54Speaker 3: the kitchen with the family. Yeah, that's that's literally what
- 2:56Speaker 3: it was.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It was like, you know, yes, that's strategic and intentional
- 2:59Speaker 1: because I just.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Kind of talking to you.
- 3:00Speaker 5: I'm just such a social butterfly. I say, I love
- 3:03Speaker 5: to like talk to people.
- 3:04Speaker 3: It just felt good to just bounce off of everyone
- 3:06Speaker 3: and then also talk things. It's just like you get
- 3:09Speaker 3: it gets weird to the point where you have to like, Okay,
- 3:11Speaker 3: here's a camera, Canna, you guys sit down, have your
- 3:13Speaker 3: one one talk. Talk about something structure. It's not her
- 3:18Speaker 3: environment like to be in. So I'm just like, why
- 3:21Speaker 3: put her in a situation where it's gonna make her
- 3:23Speaker 3: feel weird. Let's just stay around everyone and if we
- 3:25Speaker 3: have conversations that we want to bring up, you just
- 3:27Speaker 3: tell it to me right now. And that's kind of
- 3:29Speaker 3: how it was. It was just like we would just
- 3:30Speaker 3: bounce off of everyone's at like the whole atmosphere. That's
- 3:33Speaker 3: just kind of how we would imagine.
- 3:35Speaker 1: That actually helped you too when it came to the
- 3:37Speaker 1: end because people were like, no, I know who they
- 3:39Speaker 1: are as a couple.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, because we were literally two people will be
- 3:43Speaker 3: us to you. We'll talk to this group and we'll
- 3:46Speaker 3: It was just strategic.
- 3:47Speaker 4: But when you think about it, I think it did
- 3:49Speaker 4: help us.
- 3:49Speaker 5: Like with Keith and Kathy, like I owe it to
- 3:52Speaker 5: them that we I think the last's backstabbing challenge that
- 3:54Speaker 5: we want because we got so close to them that
- 3:57Speaker 5: they were like, we couldn't vote for you for anything,
- 3:59Speaker 5: And I was like, if it wasn't for that, I
- 4:00Speaker 5: don't think we would have won. So I owe them
- 4:02Speaker 5: my life. But I think I just planted, not planted
- 4:06Speaker 5: seat that's not a good word, but we.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Were we were just friendly and I don't think like
- 4:10Speaker 3: we never got outside of ourselves. We never changed up,
- 4:13Speaker 3: we never switched up who we were. I think like
- 4:15Speaker 3: throughout the whole show, we just stayed consistent regardless of
- 4:20Speaker 3: the money. Before the money, we were the same. After
- 4:22Speaker 3: the morning, we were the exact same. And if we
- 4:24Speaker 3: would have went set at home, we got set home.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But like, we won the money, so everybody else I'm.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Skidding, but yeah, but yeah, we're gonna get the money
- 4:31Speaker 1: and what it's going towards. We saw a little clip
- 4:34Speaker 1: at the end of the episode. I wonder, and forgive me,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you haven't been on Paradise before. This is your first time,
- 4:40Speaker 1: this is your second, Yeah, the second time on Paradise. Yeah,
- 4:43Speaker 1: did you feel like Andrew, this was like your ability
- 4:46Speaker 1: to kind of do this was different because of this
- 4:48Speaker 1: new environment, structure, kind of the new paradise.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I find it extremely funny when people are like, oh,
- 4:54Speaker 3: this isn't. This isn't the paradise I know and love, Like,
- 4:56Speaker 3: this isn't They're not. They're they're doing these challenges and
- 4:59Speaker 3: like we're doing something like if you're on those old beaches,
- 5:02Speaker 3: you're you're sitting around waiting for a date card or
- 5:04Speaker 3: someone to come down, Like you don't you don't really
- 5:06Speaker 3: do anything, and the majority of the date or the
- 5:10Speaker 3: show or the episode is someone on a date, so
- 5:13Speaker 3: it's like, instead of like that, you just put a
- 5:16Speaker 3: challenge in there, so everyone's on the date basically. And
- 5:19Speaker 3: I thought it was more fun, like for me, like
- 5:22Speaker 3: being able to interact with Alex and like everyone else
- 5:24Speaker 3: in a competitive way and a fun way. After every
- 5:27Speaker 3: challenge you come back and talk about it, talk about
- 5:29Speaker 3: something that you did. I thought it was I thought
- 5:32Speaker 3: it was massive, you know, it did so much for everyone.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I think it's just way better than my first experience
- 5:40Speaker 3: in Paradise. It was hotter there obviously, and I was
- 5:44Speaker 3: just more comfortable, but also it was just it was
- 5:46Speaker 3: easier to talk to people, easier to you know, just
- 5:49Speaker 3: live there and be understand, like understand where you're at
- 5:52Speaker 3: in the environment. So I'm a massive fan. Obviously, the
- 5:56Speaker 3: voting out things kind of tough with you know, you
- 5:59Speaker 3: not knowing exactly everyone's how far along they are in
- 6:03Speaker 3: their couples. But other than that, like keep the challenges like.
- 6:06Speaker 1: You loved it. Oh my god, I haven't asked anybody
- 6:08Speaker 1: that yet. I mean, and I don't know, challenge many
- 6:10Speaker 1: people who have been there before. Kat obviously Hm Sean,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I think was in Paradise before. But you're the first
- 6:16Speaker 1: person I thought about asking that too. Yeah, did you
- 6:18Speaker 1: enjoy it? Outside of this beautiful thing?
- 6:22Speaker 3: It was just fun, Like we enjoyed. We had things
- 6:24Speaker 3: like we didn't get any of the keys really when
- 6:27Speaker 3: we were locked in.
- 6:27Speaker 4: The box, but it was still so much fun.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We had a great time, Like we were cracking up
- 6:33Speaker 3: the tent. One was amazing, Like I thought that was
- 6:36Speaker 3: one of the that was my favorite thing of that
- 6:38Speaker 3: was the best. Yeah, and it was the most, like
- 6:40Speaker 3: I get, I was the most tested in that relationship test.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Oh my god, dude, I over promised.
- 6:46Speaker 5: No, I over promised, And I said, oh I am
- 6:48Speaker 5: a good I'm like a camper.
- 6:50Speaker 4: I'm a camper. I know how to pitch a tent
- 6:51Speaker 4: and up there, I didn't know how.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. And then like
- 6:55Speaker 3: she's like she's like, she's like you need to have
- 6:57Speaker 3: more patience. I'm like looking at I'm dripping. We just
- 7:02Speaker 3: like break down laughing, which was like one of my
- 7:04Speaker 3: favorite parts as well. Like we just like I'm just
- 7:07Speaker 3: like I'm pissed off, but I like we just start
- 7:08Speaker 3: busting out laughing, and I was like, wow, okay, like
- 7:12Speaker 3: it's really not that big of a deal, Like I
- 7:13Speaker 3: can relax, Like I know I'm getting like heightened by
- 7:16Speaker 3: this challenge, but at the end of the day, you're
- 7:17Speaker 3: just like kind.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Of gives like a not an insight, but like into what.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Maybe future hurdles working together.
- 7:23Speaker 5: It's like, you know, you were pissed off, but at
- 7:24Speaker 5: the end of like it's not that serious and laughing.
- 7:27Speaker 4: So I think it helped in that sense to like
- 7:31Speaker 4: work as a team.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah. No, And then we kept saying that like being
- 7:34Speaker 3: the best team, like we just need to keep you
- 7:36Speaker 3: just need to be a good team. And you were like, okay,
- 7:39Speaker 3: I'll be a good teammate then, yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I mean, and it is one of the like most
- 7:46Speaker 1: endearing things about your relationship. And I when Will said
- 7:50Speaker 1: it earlier, I sat back and I was like, it's true.
- 7:52Speaker 1: You guys laugh a lot. Yeah, and you do. And
- 7:55Speaker 1: and I think there was a moment this season that
- 7:58Speaker 1: I actually got protective watching it because people were kind
- 8:01Speaker 1: of criticizing you guys or your childlike behavior. Yeah, is
- 8:08Speaker 1: that Okay, So with that being said, is that something
- 8:11Speaker 1: you want to keep in your relationship?
- 8:14Speaker 5: I will up this morning, That's the first thing I said.
- 8:15Speaker 5: I said, and my favorite thing about our relationship is
- 8:18Speaker 5: our childlike banter. I wouldn't like this, what do you mean?
- 8:21Speaker 4: It's we have so much fun, like yeah, why?
- 8:24Speaker 3: And then also like we come from really tough backgrounds
- 8:27Speaker 3: like life, like growing up. And I think one of
- 8:30Speaker 3: the things that she told me it was like there
- 8:32Speaker 3: wasn't a lot of like love or happiness in the house,
- 8:35Speaker 3: like and I was total opposite, like same situation, but
- 8:39Speaker 3: my situation was just absolute love, absolute happiness because of
- 8:44Speaker 3: like our family, so like my family structure, even though
- 8:47Speaker 3: we were struggling, everything was like not perfect. We just
- 8:51Speaker 3: loved to laugh and love to be around each other.
- 8:53Speaker 3: So I don't care when people say it's like, oh
- 8:56Speaker 3: they're childish. That is what I will always have in
- 8:58Speaker 3: my household is a Canty'll be like, okay, hey, we
- 9:01Speaker 3: can laugh about it. It's not that serious. And I
- 9:04Speaker 3: always tell her, I was like, never panic, it's never like,
- 9:07Speaker 3: don't make a bad situation worse. So I'm just like,
- 9:10Speaker 3: what am I gonna do? Like being super serious about things.
- 9:12Speaker 3: It doesn't change how we're going to approach it everything.
- 9:15Speaker 3: We're gonna do things the best our ability, and we're
- 9:18Speaker 3: gonna have fun doing it. So that's kind of like how.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I almost lost my passport coming here and I didn't panics.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I was just I was just like, I was like, Okay, relax,
- 9:25Speaker 3: and then she's like, oh, found it.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I was like, look at that. I mean, I think
- 9:29Speaker 1: the only reason you could criticize it would be if
- 9:32Speaker 1: it isn't progressing your relationship.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 1: So as you sit here today, it's been a few
- 9:39Speaker 1: months since Paradise ended, you're still arm in arm. Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Oh no, we have our battles, Like we're not like
- 9:45Speaker 3: laughing through all times.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Has your relationship I'm upset and then we'll be laughing.
- 9:50Speaker 5: You'll say you're joking. I'd yeah, I'm.
- 9:54Speaker 3: A very serious person. People don't understand this.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I will say.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I'm not like just giggles all the time, Like I
- 9:59Speaker 3: have a I lock in, Like when I need to
- 10:02Speaker 3: be locked in, I'm like, I just don't take every
- 10:05Speaker 3: situation too seriously, Like you can't be taking everything too
- 10:08Speaker 3: seriously in life. Like everyone's like he's thirty making tiktoks
- 10:11Speaker 3: with Greg. Yeah, because we're having a great fucking time living.
- 10:16Speaker 3: But like it's just like it's just a lifestyle thing,
- 10:18Speaker 3: Like I don't wanna, I don't wanna like that is
- 10:20Speaker 3: my favorite part of my life is being light and
- 10:23Speaker 3: being able to share laughter with people. And I think
- 10:27Speaker 3: laughing with Alex on the beach was like the match
- 10:29Speaker 3: made in heaven for me.
- 10:30Speaker 5: So I'm like, if you know, it's gonna sound so corny,
- 10:32Speaker 5: but I always say I want to be eighty years
- 10:35Speaker 5: old on a porch with my person and old and wrinkly,
- 10:38Speaker 5: and if I can just have a good time or
- 10:40Speaker 5: just be, you know, laughing on that porch with you,
- 10:43Speaker 5: that's all that matters.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Your nervous with your hands out though, because we do
- 10:47Speaker 1: need Andrew to walk out of here today, I will not.
- 10:51Speaker 1: We needed him to stand up at some point, and
- 10:54Speaker 1: we're good this season. I'm not even like a I'm kidding,
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know, how do you feel watching that? I do
- 11:02Speaker 1: want to know that scene.
- 11:05Speaker 3: It's like that's like us though, Like if you watch
- 11:08Speaker 3: a couple episodes before, she was like, oh my god,
- 11:09Speaker 3: my coochie sweaty or something like that, and I'm like Yeah, it's.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Just like I have no filter.
- 11:15Speaker 3: It's sound like a gross thing either. We're not like
- 11:17Speaker 3: we don't have like we have manners. It's your mic,
- 11:20Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So like people can hear
- 11:23Speaker 3: cloud loudly because it's on a mic. It's like screaming
- 11:25Speaker 3: from the rafters at a time and place. And No,
- 11:30Speaker 3: we're just very comfortable with each other. She's got that
- 11:32Speaker 3: like international vibe to you, where like they're overly comfortable
- 11:35Speaker 3: with like sections.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Some international I'm from Canada and it's.
- 11:41Speaker 4: So comfortable talking about my friends.
- 11:44Speaker 3: And he was like, I'm sitting there and they're They're
- 11:46Speaker 3: like they're just way too close. I'm like, I'm like
- 11:50Speaker 3: waiting for some video or me or something like the
- 11:52Speaker 3: pop up. I'm just like, whoa are showing everybody?
- 11:55Speaker 4: But definitely that we're just.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Know your culture. Your culture is unhinged.
- 12:05Speaker 6: Okay, I have to put you on to these leggings
- 12:08Speaker 6: I've been obsessed with lately. They're from this brand called
- 12:11Speaker 6: Tona and get this, the designer behind them also created
- 12:15Speaker 6: Lulu Lemon, so they know what they're doing. These leggings
- 12:20Speaker 6: are next level think buttery soft, super flattering, and very comfortable.
- 12:26Speaker 6: But they're also very supportive in the right places. So
- 12:30Speaker 6: I started wearing them when the kids and I go
- 12:32Speaker 6: out to play, and now I'm basically living in them
- 12:35Speaker 6: twenty four seven. And here's what makes them even better.
- 12:38Speaker 6: With every payer you buy, it helps fund a mental
- 12:43Speaker 6: health counseling session for a teen in need. Isn't that
- 12:47Speaker 6: so awesome? Tona is on a mission to end teen

- 13:50Speaker 1: this is so good. I'm not the relationship expert. I'm
- 13:52Speaker 1: not the one that like be the judger of good
- 13:55Speaker 1: in this. I just think it's fun and I think
- 13:57Speaker 1: was is right. It's cute. I think it's something that
- 14:00Speaker 1: not every couple can have, but when it does exist,
- 14:02Speaker 1: it's a beautiful thing. This is nothing, but hey, I
- 14:06Speaker 1: loved watching it. I loved your dynamic. I think it
- 14:08Speaker 1: was so fun and I do think it is one
- 14:11Speaker 1: of the reasons why you two made it to the end,
- 14:13Speaker 1: and I was so happy you did. One of the cutest,
- 14:17Speaker 1: most emotional moments for me this whole season was at
- 14:20Speaker 1: the very end when you get up and you meet
- 14:24Speaker 1: Andrew on the plateau and you said, I'm not good
- 14:29Speaker 1: at giving speeches, and he goes, I know, I know,
- 14:32Speaker 1: And it just felt like he knew you in that
- 14:34Speaker 1: moment so much more than I would expect him to
- 14:37Speaker 1: for the time being. I want to also add into this,
- 14:40Speaker 1: you said during the reunion that you're awkward. I think
- 14:43Speaker 1: these two things go together. Tell us about what that
- 14:46Speaker 1: means to you to be awkward, to know that you're
- 14:48Speaker 1: not going to be good at it, and for him
- 14:50Speaker 1: just to look at you and smile so I.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Think it's almost like that moment where I'm just backing
- 14:58Speaker 5: up a little bit when we expressed or feelings to
- 15:01Speaker 5: each other and I was nervous to say I love
- 15:03Speaker 5: you and you said, you know, he held my hand
- 15:05Speaker 5: and he said it first.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It was at first I didn't know where you're going.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Oh no, no, no, no, right, but you took my hand
- 15:13Speaker 5: because you knew how much I struggled with that word,
- 15:15Speaker 5: of course, and you stepped up. And I feel like
- 15:17Speaker 5: again when I walked to the plateau and he said,
- 15:20Speaker 5: I said, I'm not good with speech, it just felt
- 15:22Speaker 5: like such a safe space and like you knew me
- 15:25Speaker 5: exactly and you understand where I was coming from, and
- 15:27Speaker 5: you didn't care if the speech was oscar worthy.
- 15:30Speaker 4: It just came from the heart.
- 15:31Speaker 5: And I felt like, for anything my awkwardness, you just
- 15:35Speaker 5: don't see me.
- 15:36Speaker 4: You don't see it as a negative.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Really moments I don't think that like and.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I just want to.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Not almost with my friends. That's the thing. A lot
- 15:45Speaker 4: of it is the language bearer.
- 15:46Speaker 5: I'm going to be honest, Like, I know I don't
- 15:47Speaker 5: have an accent, but that's because I'm a speech therapist
- 15:51Speaker 5: and I learned not how to not have to have
- 15:53Speaker 5: an screen, not to have an accent.
- 15:56Speaker 4: But with my friends, I'm not that awkward. I'm like, no,
- 15:59Speaker 4: I think with cameras, I get it happens. It happens, right.
- 16:02Speaker 4: But to answer your.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Question, and the crazy part is like she's been in
- 16:06Speaker 3: like series for acting, like in like Canada and everything.
- 16:09Speaker 3: I'm like, how, like how do you do this?
- 16:12Speaker 1: And it's.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Like I've seen her reels. I'm like, you you memorize
- 16:17Speaker 3: all and you did all this.
- 16:19Speaker 1: You memorize.
- 16:21Speaker 3: You can't. You can't. You can't.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You can't say words what love does.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Yeah, it makes you just exactly. But it just made me.
- 16:29Speaker 3: And then I saw these clips of Zindia and I
- 16:32Speaker 3: was like, oh my god, you guys are the exact
- 16:35Speaker 3: same person.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Right, and she's not getting crucified for it now.
- 16:37Speaker 3: She's like super socially awkward like in interviews, and I
- 16:40Speaker 3: was just like, this looks like like like Alex and
- 16:44Speaker 3: sounds like Alex.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Yeah, she'll do a finger snaps anyway.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:49Speaker 4: But yeah, it felt really nice to just feel safe enough.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It feel safe watching it. It did. It felt as
- 16:54Speaker 1: a viewer. It was a good moment for you and me.
- 16:58Speaker 1: At home being like this is feels really healthy and happy,
- 17:01Speaker 1: and yeah, I.
- 17:01Speaker 5: Think you hadn't seen that throughout the season, right, And
- 17:04Speaker 5: it was the first time that we saw how like
- 17:07Speaker 5: we can.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:07Speaker 3: I also people were like, this is so random, how
- 17:10Speaker 3: did they even get to here? It's just you know,
- 17:12Speaker 3: we like and that's why I like we used the
- 17:14Speaker 3: level thing as well. It's like it was just like
- 17:16Speaker 3: we just kept building, you know what I mean, just
- 17:19Speaker 3: kept going, just keep stacking each day and just like
- 17:23Speaker 3: trying to find each other that way instead of like
- 17:25Speaker 3: trying to create this grand like love story. I don't
- 17:28Speaker 3: think that was in my head this this time around.
- 17:31Speaker 3: I wasn't looking for, you know, a rom com situation.
- 17:35Speaker 3: It just actually just happened, and like that was like
- 17:38Speaker 3: the best part about it. And I didn't want to
- 17:39Speaker 3: like mess that up by trying to like curate a
- 17:42Speaker 3: way to make this look a certain way.
- 17:43Speaker 5: It just and one more thing I wanted to add
- 17:45Speaker 5: is one thing that Andrew did that really made it
- 17:48Speaker 5: for me real And I was like, this is the
- 17:50Speaker 5: kind of guy I want to be with. Is you know,
- 17:51Speaker 5: I'm an open book and I will tell Selmer story
- 17:54Speaker 5: to tell a lot of people. I think that's the
- 17:55Speaker 5: way I cope. But did you you know I told
- 17:58Speaker 5: my story in my background how I grew up and you.
- 18:00Speaker 5: But one time, one night, we had to make a
- 18:02Speaker 5: really tough decision and I was really in my head
- 18:04Speaker 5: and I was and he looked at me and he said,
- 18:06Speaker 5: do you think that you're it's hard for you right
- 18:08Speaker 5: now because you don't like to let people down. And
- 18:11Speaker 5: it was like there right there, And then I was like, wow,
- 18:14Speaker 5: didn't he didn't only listen to my store, but he's
- 18:18Speaker 5: kind of like trying to understand why I act.
- 18:20Speaker 4: The way I act. That was like, I just felt
- 18:22Speaker 4: very hard. So that was kind of like the AHA
- 18:25Speaker 4: moment for me.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, you're just solidifying it's the cutest
- 18:28Speaker 1: couple in Paradise. I'm gonna ask you some tough questions. Okay, good.
- 18:32Speaker 1: We are going to talk about some of the not
- 18:35Speaker 1: so pretty parts of Paradise. But before I do that,
- 18:38Speaker 1: I'm just going to transition into keeping on relationship topics. Okay,
- 18:42Speaker 1: have you talked about getting engaged?
- 18:44Speaker 3: Uh? Yeah, we flirt around with it. We just, like
- 18:47Speaker 3: I said, one step at a time. I think moving
- 18:49Speaker 3: in is the next step. We're doing long distance right now,
- 18:52Speaker 3: which is you know, pretty good since I don't like
- 18:54Speaker 3: work like a nine to five, so I'm able to
- 18:57Speaker 3: travel like I'll be here for the next like six
- 18:59Speaker 3: days and then I fly out somewhere and then yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 3: we just we just keep navigating. We have a really
- 19:04Speaker 3: healthy like phone to FaceTime ratio. I feel like we
- 19:10Speaker 3: just breathe on FaceTime nowadays. We don't even say words,
- 19:13Speaker 3: but it just feels like you're next to them.
- 19:14Speaker 2: So we do.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Like I'll in the future when this happens or when
- 19:18Speaker 5: I'm in Italy in my white gown.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but we talk about it.
- 19:25Speaker 4: But what we're going to do, we like to do.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Serious like right now or just yeah, we like scrapped
- 19:31Speaker 3: everything and just started dating, Like we took everything from
- 19:34Speaker 3: bachelorin Paradise and just like okay, reset right here, and
- 19:38Speaker 3: we just did this outside.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Version with Pinkberry. It is love at first swirl big
- 19:51Speaker 1: thanks to Pinkberry, who has been serving up some delicious
- 19:55Speaker 1: frozen yogurt treats today. We're every flavor, whether it's original tart, pomegranate,
- 20:03Speaker 1: or their new white mocha, is a front runner and
- 20:08Speaker 1: the only drama is choosing between your favorite premium toppings,

- 20:16Speaker 1: the froyo. Pinkberry's got your happily ever after. Find a
- 20:21Speaker 1: location near you, or order online at pinkberry dot com.
- 20:28Speaker 1: My wife and I dated long distance for three years.
- 20:32Speaker 1: That's crazy different parts of you. But yeah, she We're
- 20:42Speaker 1: writing letters and hoping she got it the week later.
- 20:45Speaker 1: We had one rule in our relationship long distance, and
- 20:49Speaker 1: it was never leave each other without having the next
- 20:52Speaker 1: visit planned. So it could be a month from now,
- 20:54Speaker 1: it could be two months from now, but we knew
- 20:56Speaker 1: when we were going to see each other again. Yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 1: it just got excited. It helped just keep us like
- 21:02Speaker 1: in a rhythm.
- 21:02Speaker 3: And what do you want to do when we for
- 21:04Speaker 3: this day? Yeah, you could just start planning.
- 21:07Speaker 1: So my one piece of advice would be to leave
- 21:09Speaker 1: each other without at least some meeting on the books.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I love that, you know. Obviously a huge moment during
- 21:15Speaker 1: the reunion and paradise was this tweet social media conversation
- 21:24Speaker 1: and lack of support that felt like wasn't given to
- 21:26Speaker 1: the right people at the right time. I just want
- 21:29Speaker 1: to give you to the really because I could ask
- 21:31Speaker 1: the questions. It felt like I would just make it
- 21:34Speaker 1: more confusing. I want to give you to the opportunity
- 21:37Speaker 1: to speak into that situation and as much transparency as
- 21:41Speaker 1: you can on why you made the decisions you did,
- 21:44Speaker 1: what your intentions were behind it, and where you think
- 21:47Speaker 1: you went wrong or where maybe the communication wasn't clear.
- 21:50Speaker 4: I'll start.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Yeah, So, I, as I've mentioned before, you know, going
- 21:55Speaker 5: into Paradise, I was really close with Jeremy and we
- 21:57Speaker 5: would FaceTime pretty much every day as friends, and he
- 22:01Speaker 5: had told me that he was friends with he was
- 22:02Speaker 5: really interested in Bailey, So going in I knew that,
- 22:05Speaker 5: and so I would say I had a stronger relationship
- 22:08Speaker 5: with Jeremy at the time, and then I was rooming
- 22:10Speaker 5: with Bailey, and you know, I wasn't close with her before,
- 22:13Speaker 5: but I've learned to really, really, you know, like her.
- 22:15Speaker 5: So when the whole Susie thing happened, knowing Jeremy, I
- 22:21Speaker 5: just thought that it was a moment of I think
- 22:24Speaker 5: of weakness where you know, his ego was bruised.
- 22:26Speaker 4: I think it was.
- 22:27Speaker 5: Do I think it was an idiot move, absolutely, but
- 22:29Speaker 5: I think it was on a spur of the moment,
- 22:30Speaker 5: like oh, you told me you wanted me, and then
- 22:32Speaker 5: you want to go let me call Susie.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Still not okay. Had I known.
- 22:38Speaker 5: What I know now, and regardless, I should have just
- 22:40Speaker 5: told her. I regret that and I've owned up to it.
- 22:44Speaker 5: And then the next day, you know, he told me
- 22:46Speaker 5: that they had talked, not necessarily about that phone call,
- 22:48Speaker 5: but they had talked and they were good with the
- 22:51Speaker 5: with with the date and everything. So I saw the
- 22:54Speaker 5: potential and the relationship, and I knew how much he
- 22:56Speaker 5: liked her because he told me on the side, he
- 22:58Speaker 5: was like, I really like Bailey, and especially that Susie
- 23:01Speaker 5: was in the picture, and that he said that he
- 23:02Speaker 5: was interested in Susie two For him to pick Bailey,
- 23:04Speaker 5: I was like, he must really like her. So I
- 23:07Speaker 5: didn't see me telling Bailey beneficial to her and their relationship.
- 23:13Speaker 5: And that is the only reason I didn't tell her,
- 23:15Speaker 5: was kind of to you know, support Jeremy and me,
- 23:17Speaker 5: like you acted like a fool.
- 23:18Speaker 4: You have to tell her, and you will. I thought
- 23:20Speaker 4: he was going to do it, but yeah, that was basically.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Was there ever a moment that you felt like I
- 23:27Speaker 1: should tell her?
- 23:28Speaker 3: No?
- 23:29Speaker 5: Because I didn't know the extent I really didn't think
- 23:31Speaker 5: the phone call was a big deal. We never that
- 23:33Speaker 5: was a moment in time where did you tell her
- 23:34Speaker 5: we should tell her okay, move on? And I locked
- 23:36Speaker 5: in on Andrew and we never thought about it again.
- 23:38Speaker 5: I didn't even think it was going to be a
- 23:40Speaker 5: conversation in the whole season.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Never thought about it. I was like, Oh, it's done, perfect,
- 23:44Speaker 4: be acting like a fool, you know, never until you know.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Of course, when producers come in and they're like, it's
- 23:50Speaker 5: gonna look bad, and you're like, I was so confused.
- 23:51Speaker 4: I was like, it's gonna look bad? What do you
- 23:52Speaker 4: mean everyone? No, I didn't know. Everyone knew. Yeah, I
- 23:55Speaker 4: thought he had come to me and Andrew, but yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 4: you know, so it's always twenty twenty and tough, but
- 24:04Speaker 4: and then anything bad.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Yeah. I have a different point of view of it,
- 24:09Speaker 3: Like if people like been watching me for a while,
- 24:12Speaker 3: I don't like every single season I've been on, I've
- 24:14Speaker 3: had the exact same thing happen. Literally, first season was
- 24:18Speaker 3: a bachelorette. I got mad at a couple of people
- 24:20Speaker 3: for telling on Thomas. I'm like, like, why are you
- 24:23Speaker 3: wasting time trying to talk about someone else's relationship? Other
- 24:25Speaker 3: than yours. And then it happened in Paradise with me
- 24:29Speaker 3: when I was dating Brittany Casey had like was trying
- 24:32Speaker 3: to talk about how Pizza Pete called her a cloud
- 24:34Speaker 3: chaser while I was with her, I was just like,
- 24:36Speaker 3: what is your angle? Like what do you what do
- 24:40Speaker 3: you stand in the game for this, Like I don't
- 24:41Speaker 3: understand when people try to intervene themselves in someone else's relationship.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I just felt like it's like a I want to
- 24:48Speaker 3: be a hero type of thing. So that's just for me.
- 24:51Speaker 3: For the Brian situation is completely different. I believe that
- 24:54Speaker 3: it was just not my business. I right off the
- 24:57Speaker 3: jump when Jeremy told me, I was like, bro, you
- 24:59Speaker 3: should tell her, like you're omitting information, Like that's worse
- 25:02Speaker 3: than like min it's lying. And he's like, oh, it
- 25:06Speaker 3: is that a big deal? I mean like it's whatever.
- 25:08Speaker 3: Like it literally was not an apparent conversation that happened
- 25:11Speaker 3: throughout weeks, like I didn't even think about it.
- 25:14Speaker 5: Like and to me too, I was like, you know,
- 25:16Speaker 5: I told him, so you know they're gonna air this
- 25:18Speaker 5: and he was like no, like we're good, it's not
- 25:19Speaker 5: a big deal.
- 25:19Speaker 4: So I thought in my head. I was like, Okay,
- 25:21Speaker 4: must really not be a big deal if you're so
- 25:23Speaker 4: confident that they're not area.
- 25:24Speaker 3: And then like and then we're watching Bailey and John
- 25:26Speaker 3: or Jeremy grow and we're just like, oh wow, this
- 25:29Speaker 3: is a really good solid couple. Like I'm why would
- 25:33Speaker 3: anyone even like think of like trying to ruin that
- 25:35Speaker 3: unless it's for personal game, So like that's my thing,
- 25:37Speaker 3: And then like going into the whole bro code thing,
- 25:42Speaker 3: like here's my thing. I'm gonna tell you I still
- 25:45Speaker 3: stand on it, like I think, I think the way
- 25:47Speaker 3: it was edited, it was turned like my conversation with
- 25:52Speaker 3: what's his name Brian a different way my thing was
- 25:55Speaker 3: is like you're you're seeing with him running on the beach,
- 25:59Speaker 3: like I'm with these guys, I'm seeing him. I'm like,
- 26:00Speaker 3: oh dang. Jeremy and Brian are app up at it early,
- 26:03Speaker 3: eat eating lunch together, even eating breakfast together. Brian is
- 26:08Speaker 3: in Jeremy's room NonStop. Him, Jeremy and in Dale three
- 26:13Speaker 3: peas in a pod, Like you would have known that
- 26:15Speaker 3: Jonathan was Brian's roommate because he was always in Jeremy's room.
- 26:19Speaker 3: And I'm just like that is so odd to me
- 26:22Speaker 3: that my friend wouldn't come tell me and be like, hey, man,
- 26:25Speaker 3: I think you're being an asshole and you need to
- 26:27Speaker 3: go tell her. If you don't, I'm gonna go tell her.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Then I'm like, that is not a good friend. I
- 26:32Speaker 3: bro code probably should be word to use. Obviously it's
- 26:35Speaker 3: gotten tarnished and like from some, but that's not the
- 26:37Speaker 3: bro code I live by. The brokeode I live by
- 26:40Speaker 3: is like, if my friend is doing something, I'm gonna
- 26:42Speaker 3: check him and hold him accountable for it. Okay, but
- 26:45Speaker 3: it's not my job to do it for him, you
- 26:47Speaker 3: know what I mean. It's not my responsibility. It is
- 26:49Speaker 3: Jeremy's responsibility only to tell her, you know what I mean?
- 26:53Speaker 3: And then when you when and when he did, like
- 26:56Speaker 3: she still like took him back. So it's like, what
- 27:01Speaker 3: was the whole point of tell is saying anything? You
- 27:03Speaker 3: know what I mean? So it was never my business
- 27:06Speaker 3: to begin with because people are gonna do whatever they
- 27:08Speaker 3: want to do. So that's why I was like, I
- 27:09Speaker 3: always stay out of it. Obviously you're in a whole
- 27:11Speaker 3: different situation being a roommate. And I feel for Bailey
- 27:15Speaker 3: for that, like, but for me and for a lot
- 27:18Speaker 3: of the people who who like besides like Brian, Brian
- 27:22Speaker 3: had every right to tell her not I was never
- 27:24Speaker 3: mad at him for telling It's just it was sleazy.
- 27:27Speaker 3: You knew you could tell it wasn't because that he
- 27:31Speaker 3: felt like Bailey should know. If that was the case,
- 27:34Speaker 3: he would have said it as soon as Jeremy said
- 27:36Speaker 3: something he should have told, But he waited until, like
- 27:39Speaker 3: Jeremy dangled, like letting him go over his head one
- 27:42Speaker 3: episode doing the Godfather thing and he's like, I won't
- 27:45Speaker 3: take being and talk to you lightly, Like I'm just like,
- 27:49Speaker 3: the evidence is there, But nothing wrong with him telling.
- 27:52Speaker 3: I just I just knew in that moment's intentions were
- 27:55Speaker 3: not pure and it's just and we didn't know the
- 27:57Speaker 3: full conversation and the full damage of what was going on,
- 28:01Speaker 3: so like in my eyes, I was just like, oh,
- 28:02Speaker 3: it's just a phone call, Like why are you going
- 28:04Speaker 3: behind his back to talk about a phone call? Like
- 28:06Speaker 3: there's a moment of lapse, Like that's something he should
- 28:08Speaker 3: have said. Looking back on it, it was pretty bad,
- 28:14Speaker 3: you know what I mean. Just obviously seeing that and
- 28:15Speaker 3: watching that back, I feel for Bailey, like that sucks
- 28:19Speaker 3: in that situation. And I see Bryant's point, But my
- 28:22Speaker 3: thing is, Brian did it at an opportune time for himself.
- 28:26Speaker 3: He did not do it when it first happened, then
- 28:28Speaker 3: he should he waited for Like, I didn't even know
- 28:30Speaker 3: that secret rendezvous was gonna happen. So what happens the
- 28:32Speaker 3: rendezvous challenge never happened? Do you not say anything? You
- 28:36Speaker 3: know what I mean? Like, that's the that's what I'm well.
- 28:38Speaker 1: And it's aired. No, you're right, and it's aired, and
- 28:42Speaker 1: the two of them are to together and that's what's
- 28:44Speaker 1: important today. Celebrate that. Yea is I just sat with
- 28:48Speaker 1: him with Bailey and Jeremy, and they're as strong as
- 28:52Speaker 1: I could have ever expected.
- 28:53Speaker 3: And this saw that.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and this was a small little blimp on your guys.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Beautiful story. Final question for you, Right, you got a
- 29:02Speaker 1: lot of money. I don't how much you money did
- 29:04Speaker 1: you get from this? Where's that money going?
- 29:09Speaker 3: Well, we signed, so it's we're both getting split like
- 29:12Speaker 3: sixty two something. I offered to give her my half,
- 29:16Speaker 3: but she said no. But the sixty is still on
- 29:20Speaker 3: the table if she wants to take it. But we'll
- 29:22Speaker 3: just figure out if you want to do something together that.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Said no, by courtesy, baby, don't bet. Don't bet for me.
- 29:29Speaker 5: I think financially the smartest move. I mean, I mean,
- 29:31Speaker 5: the conversion rate Canadian to U West is pretty good,
- 29:33Speaker 5: So I'm going to try to pay as much as
- 29:35Speaker 5: my student loan as I can. I think that's the
- 29:37Speaker 5: smartest move. I wish I had I could use that
- 29:39Speaker 5: money to save up for a house, but it's going
- 29:41Speaker 5: to go to the student loans, unfortunately.
- 29:43Speaker 1: It's nice Andrew to offer that to you. Yeah, and
- 29:45Speaker 1: we're so happy as a Bachelor nation that you're going
- 29:49Speaker 1: to be able to help pay off some of those
- 29:50Speaker 1: student loans. That's so exciting, a whole new chapter in life,
- 29:55Speaker 1: not only financially but also romantically. Yeah, we're celebrating you here.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Congratulations again to the cutest couple to come from Bachelor
