• 2:24
Speaker 2: Right now, story number one.
• 2:26
Speaker 3: For decades, the FBI has had a top ten most
• 2:30
Speaker 3: wanted list. Well, now there's a new list. It's the
• 2:33
Speaker 3: FBI's Top ten most Wanted Fraudsters List. And if you've
• 2:37
Speaker 3: ever wondered where your tax dollurs go or why government
• 2:40
Speaker 3: fraud seems to keep making headlines, well the FBI says
• 2:44
Speaker 3: it's time to put some faces on the actual problem.
• 2:48
Speaker 3: That's why the FBI Director Cashpattel un build a brand
• 2:52
Speaker 3: new initiative, the FBI's Top ten Most Wanted Fraudster's List,
• 2:56
Speaker 3: a public effort, he said, to track down some of
• 2:59
Speaker 3: the most notorious financial criminals accused of stealing more than
• 3:03
Speaker 3: a billion dollars from American taxpayers now. The announcement came
• 3:08
Speaker 3: in Ohio alongside senior Justice Department officials as federal authorities
• 3:13
Speaker 3: also revealed charges against defendant's accused of running a massive
• 3:18
Speaker 3: medicaid fraud scheme involving children services. Yeah they're not just
• 3:22
Speaker 3: stealing from us, but they're actually stealing money that's supposed
• 3:25
Speaker 3: to be going to children now. According to federal prosecutors,
• 3:28
Speaker 3: the scheme allegedly built taxpayers roughly thirty million for therapy
• 3:33
Speaker 3: services that were medically unnecessary or never provided at all.
• 3:40
Speaker 3: The Director of the FBI, Betel, made it clear that
• 3:43
Speaker 3: this effort is about changing the way the FBI goes
• 3:46
Speaker 3: after white collar criminals now. One of the strongest lines
• 3:50
Speaker 3: from today's announcement was Patel warning that these suspects are
• 3:54
Speaker 3: not harmless paper pushers. They stole more than one billion.
• 3:59
Speaker 3: Patel said as he launched the new list, I want
• 4:02
Speaker 3: you to hear exactly what the FBI director had to say.
• 4:06
Speaker 1: Operation Playground Therapy is what the FBI is here to
• 4:08
Speaker 1: talk about today, as the Attorney General highlighted, literally tens
• 4:13
Speaker 1: of millions of dollars that was supposed to go to
• 4:15
Speaker 1: kids was stolen allegedly by individuals who worked in government
• 4:21
Speaker 1: and the private sector and thought they could fleece Americans
• 4:25
Speaker 1: and our treasure, our children of the hard earned dollars,
• 4:28
Speaker 1: the taxpayer dollars that we provide to support them in
• 4:30
Speaker 1: their time of need. Well, they got caught. And not
• 4:33
Speaker 1: only did they get caught, so many others got caught.
• 4:35
Speaker 1: Just take a look at some of the vehicles that
• 4:37
Speaker 1: are here as part of their ill gotten gains and proceeds.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: They didn't just take the money, they paraded it around
• 4:43
Speaker 1: the country. And thanks to this team here you are
• 4:45
Speaker 1: seeing what hard work, dedication to the rule of law,
• 4:50
Speaker 1: and true unified effort across all fronts when no one
• 4:52
Speaker 1: wants the credit and everyone wants to just do the work.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: These are the results that we're here to talk about today,
• 4:58
Speaker 1: importantly for the FBI, and thanks to Vice President JD.
• 5:01
Speaker 1: Vance's vision. He had an idea. He said, Hey, you
• 5:04
Speaker 1: guys have a top ten most wanted list for all gangbangers, terrorists,
• 5:10
Speaker 1: narco traffickers, murders and rapists around the world. How about
• 5:14
Speaker 1: we have a top ten list for most wanted fraudsters. So,
• 5:16
Speaker 1: mister Vice President, thanks to your vision, we're here to
• 5:19
Speaker 1: deliver and you see it here today. It is live
• 5:21
Speaker 1: officially on the FBI website. I want all Americans to
• 5:24
Speaker 1: take a look at these most wanted individuals and look
• 5:27
Speaker 1: at the amounts, the tens of millions and billions of
• 5:30
Speaker 1: dollars in fraud that they have decimated our societies from.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: We rely on you. Our best form of information is
• 5:37
Speaker 1: the American public. Take a look at this top ten
• 5:40
Speaker 1: most wanted. Let us know any information There is no
• 5:43
Speaker 1: bad piece of information. The only bad piece of information
• 5:46
Speaker 1: is the one you don't give us. So call one
• 5:49
Speaker 1: eight hundred, call FBI, or go to FBI dot gov
• 5:51
Speaker 1: and help us apprehend more fraudsters. The last thing I
• 5:55
Speaker 1: want to talk about is the work of the FBI
• 5:58
Speaker 1: and the interagency isn't just mestic. The fraudsters have created
• 6:02
Speaker 1: programs overseas that have fleeced Americans of billions of dollars.
• 6:06
Speaker 1: The FBI has led that charge against scam center compounds
• 6:09
Speaker 1: stood up in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, freeing
• 6:12
Speaker 1: thousands of traffic workers. Just in the last year, under
• 6:15
Speaker 1: the Trump Advance Administration and the Fraud Initiative, we have
• 6:18
Speaker 1: captured and freed eight billion dollars in fraud in scam
• 6:22
Speaker 1: centers that were stood up by the CCP and other
• 6:24
Speaker 1: adversaries in places like Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia and the
• 6:28
Speaker 1: Middle East. And we're working with our inner agency and
• 6:31
Speaker 1: partners across the world to bring hundreds of individuals to justice.
• 6:35
Speaker 1: Just the other week in the Middle East, in Dubai,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: we arrested three hundred individuals responsible for four billion dollars
• 6:40
Speaker 1: in fraud. They prey on our senior citizens here from overseas,
• 6:44
Speaker 1: and this administration has made it abundantly clear there is
• 6:47
Speaker 1: no distance we won't travel to make sure we apprehend
• 6:50
Speaker 1: each and every one of these individuals. The FBI is
• 6:53
Speaker 1: leading the effort to scuttle these stam centers permanently, to
• 6:56
Speaker 1: free the traffic workers, and most importantly, to also secure
• 7:00
Speaker 1: taxpayer dollars and make sure that this eight billion in
• 7:03
Speaker 1: counting in scam center fraud that the FBI is delivered
• 7:05
Speaker 1: on so far only continues to grow, and we're going
• 7:08
Speaker 1: to keep doing it. I just want to thank the
• 7:10
Speaker 1: Attorney General, the interagency partnerships here, state and local. I've
• 7:14
Speaker 1: set it over and over again. The FBI's best partners
• 7:16
Speaker 1: are state and local law enforcement, and they're here today
• 7:19
Speaker 1: and these are the results.
• 7:21
Speaker 3: So the FBI, under President Trump and Caspertel's leadership, while
• 7:25
Speaker 3: their message is simple, if America has a top ten
• 7:28
Speaker 3: list for murderers or terrorists or cartel leaders and violent fugitives,
• 7:33
Speaker 3: then the people accused of stealing massive amounts of money
• 7:36
Speaker 3: from taxpayers, retirees, investors, and vulnerable Americans should face the
• 7:41
Speaker 3: same level of scrutiny. Now, the new list includes alleged
• 7:45
Speaker 3: frauds as connected to investment scams, wire fraud schemes, cryptocurrency
• 7:51
Speaker 3: laundering operations, healthcare fraud, and other sophisticated financial crimes. Among
• 7:57
Speaker 3: those featured are individual's accused of targeting the elderly Americans,
• 8:02
Speaker 3: running international fraud operations, and helping move illicit funds around
• 8:07
Speaker 3: the globe. Now, what's especially significant is also the timing.
• 8:12
Speaker 3: The Trump administration has spent months emphasizing waste, fraud and
• 8:15
Speaker 3: abuse across government programs. The creation of this new FBI
• 8:20
Speaker 3: list fits directly into that broader effort, and President Trump
• 8:24
Speaker 3: has repeatedly argued that fraud against taxpayers is not a
• 8:28
Speaker 3: victimless crime and that Americans deserve accountability when billions of
• 8:32
Speaker 3: dollars disappear through corruption, through scams and abuse of public programs. Now,
• 8:37
Speaker 3: the White House did not announce the list itself today,
• 8:40
Speaker 3: that move aligns closely with the administration's a larger focus,
• 8:44
Speaker 3: they say on rooting out fraud and recovering taxpayer dollars
• 8:48
Speaker 3: and letting the FBI do exactly what they need to do.
• 8:53
Speaker 3: It also is putting the FBI front and center and
• 8:56
Speaker 3: betting that the public attention will also work in helping
• 8:59
Speaker 3: find these peace one the most Wanted list. The Bureau's
• 9:02
Speaker 3: traditional Top ten Most Wanted Fugitive lists has been one
• 9:05
Speaker 3: of the most successful law enforcement tools in American history.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: The FBI reports of the vast majority of fugitives who
• 9:13
Speaker 3: have appeared on its famous top ten lists have ultimately
• 9:16
Speaker 3: been located or captured, often after tips from ordinary citizens.
• 9:21
Speaker 3: And that's exactly why the FBI director is hoping it
• 9:24
Speaker 3: will happen again on this new list. By putting these
• 9:27
Speaker 3: alleged fraudsters front and center, investigators hope someone recognizes a face,
• 9:33
Speaker 3: knows a location, or provides the critical tip needed to
• 9:37
Speaker 3: make and arrest. And there's another reason for this matter
• 9:40
Speaker 3: as well. For years, Americans have heard about fraud and
• 9:43
Speaker 3: abstract terms billions here, millions there, and it doesn't even
• 9:47
Speaker 3: seem anything real or like an actual number. But when
• 9:51
Speaker 3: taxpayers see the actual individuals that are accused of orchestrating
• 9:55
Speaker 3: these schemes, the scale of the problem becomes much much
• 9:58
Speaker 3: more real and per ersal So, whether it's healthcare fraud
• 10:02
Speaker 3: or investment scams targeting seniors, the cryptocurrency schemes, or international
• 10:08
Speaker 3: wire fraud operations, the FBI is now signaling that in
• 10:12
Speaker 3: twenty twenty six, financial criminals are now going to receive
• 10:15
Speaker 3: the same public attention that has traditionally been reserved for
• 10:19
Speaker 3: violent fugitives. As Director Ptel's team put it today, this
• 10:23
Speaker 3: is about bringing accountability to people accused of stealing staggering
• 10:27
Speaker 3: amounts of money from hardworking American citizens and funds that
• 10:31
Speaker 3: were supposed to go and help the elderly and the poor,
• 10:35
Speaker 3: as well as children. The bottom line, the FBI just
• 10:38
Speaker 3: launched a brand new most wanted lists, not for the murderers,
• 10:42
Speaker 3: not for cartel bosses, not for the terriffs, for fraudsters,
• 10:46
Speaker 3: and if the FBI gets its way, some of the
• 10:48
Speaker 3: people accused of stealing more than a billion dollars from
• 10:52
Speaker 3: Americans may soon find themselves running out of places to hide.
