- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett. All right here at one
- 0:07Speaker 1: look up, Alex Media. I have to say this because
- 0:11Speaker 1: I've been seeing the Lindsay Clancy content and the women
- 0:15Speaker 1: that are just outright defending her without letting the facts
- 0:19Speaker 1: play out, of the truth, you know, be determined through
- 0:22Speaker 1: a jury, and also seeing a man who probably is
- 0:27Speaker 1: equally devastated that his kids are dead be raked through
- 0:33Speaker 1: the coals. But I think here, as with anything, as
- 0:40Speaker 1: with anything, labeling matters. And I was saying to myself,
- 0:48Speaker 1: is Lindsey Clancy a cold, evil, calculated killer. I don't
- 0:55Speaker 1: think that either. So what I've been talking to people
- 0:59Speaker 1: about this when we talk about it is I do
- 1:04Speaker 1: believe the husband needs to be questioned. There's no doubt
- 1:07Speaker 1: what his role is in all of this. But to
- 1:13Speaker 1: outright defend and say she didn't do it without letting
- 1:18Speaker 1: all the facts come out and sort of exonerating her
- 1:21Speaker 1: before we even know everything, it does feel like they're saying,
- 1:32Speaker 1: Lindsay clans it should not be held accountable. And I
- 1:35Speaker 1: will say that there's a very delicate topic because we're
- 1:43Speaker 1: talking about a murder trial here, but we're also talking
- 1:47Speaker 1: about real life issues that it stem from postpartum depression.
- 1:53Speaker 1: In the way it's treated, I think we call her
- 1:56Speaker 1: a cold blooded killer. That lessons the meaning of this moment,
- 2:09Speaker 1: which to me is how do we help women after
- 2:14Speaker 1: they've had a kid with their postpartum It's like we're
- 2:21Speaker 1: not doing enough. But at the same time, I've been
- 2:26Speaker 1: watching TikTok and they're absolutely demonizing the husband, and it's like,
- 2:30Speaker 1: you know, I don't believe in the theory he had
- 2:32Speaker 1: two phones texting as Lindsay and himself, a very strange theory,
- 2:36Speaker 1: that is, but two outright stand by her is also
- 2:50Speaker 1: kind of alarming, and I feel very weird to say that.
- 2:59Speaker 1: But it's like people are stating by her without hearing
- 3:06Speaker 1: that the mom said she unfortunately killed her kids, her
- 3:11Speaker 1: three kids, That Lindsay's mom said this, that the parents
- 3:14Speaker 1: of Patrick said this, and other and I believe even
- 3:19Speaker 1: Lindsay admitted to this so too. From my perspective, as
- 3:34Speaker 1: more of a liber than a guy, I think we're
- 3:40Speaker 1: not giving this trial it's fair coverage if people on
- 3:49Speaker 1: TikTok are gonna outright defend what looks to be a horrible,
- 3:54Speaker 1: horrible murder, But we're also not looking at the delicacy
- 4:02Speaker 1: of what happened to women after they have a kid
- 4:06Speaker 1: and the depression that sets in. But there's people out
- 4:13Speaker 1: there saying she didn't do it, that it's Patrick's fault,
- 4:15Speaker 1: and I mean, they're all assuming that. And I don't
- 4:17Speaker 1: like that assumption either, because that's not I had to
- 4:30Speaker 1: say it, holding women, holding women accountable. That's just pawning
- 4:34Speaker 1: it off on the guy. Now, where this could have
- 4:39Speaker 1: gone differently is I do believe if she was treated differently,
- 4:42Speaker 1: we could have had three kids alive today. Because let's
- 4:51Speaker 1: say they found out she didn't do it, then she
- 4:59Speaker 1: wasn't treating She was treated to the point of being
- 5:02Speaker 1: basically in a psychosis state while her three kids are killed.
- 5:07Speaker 1: That's dangerous too. That's dangerous too. But can we not
- 5:13Speaker 1: demonize the father and let him tell his side, but
- 5:22Speaker 1: not demonize him until we know all the facts. Can
- 5:25Speaker 1: we not call her a cold vicious killer when this
- 5:30Speaker 1: is different than that. This does not feel like a calculated,
- 5:34Speaker 1: cold hearted effort because there was medication involved. There is
- 5:50Speaker 1: calls to I believe this is a hotlines to other
- 5:53Speaker 1: senators involved with this that seem to go unanswered, and
- 6:04Speaker 1: the fact that she tried to kill herself and paralyzed
- 6:06Speaker 1: herself is horrible. And I'm not trying to sympathize here
- 6:15Speaker 1: because I've seen a lot of sympathizing with a CEEO.
- 6:20Speaker 1: With with Luigi, I've seen, and I mean, the fan
- 6:22Speaker 1: club for him is ridiculous to me. I've seen sympathizing
- 6:26Speaker 1: with Tyler Robinson in a way like, oh my god,
- 6:29Speaker 1: he you know, he didn't do it, this, that and
- 6:32Speaker 1: the other. But Charlie Kirk is dead and somebody needs
- 6:37Speaker 1: to be held accountable for that. These three kids are dead,
- 6:42Speaker 1: and somebod need to be held accountable for that. And
- 6:50Speaker 1: I believe we're gonna find out as the jury deliberates
- 6:53Speaker 1: and makes the verdict. But labeling in this situation of
- 7:04Speaker 1: calling him this, that, and the other while he supposedly
- 7:07Speaker 1: wasn't even in the house and then calling her cold
- 7:16Speaker 1: and evil when I think, you know, I saw the
- 7:20Speaker 1: Tenth Kingdom and the main star her mom was very
- 7:25Speaker 1: disturbed and tried to drown her because of depression and
- 7:30Speaker 1: because of whatever else was going on. It was horrible.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It was horrible, and there's no doubt I think mss
- 7:43Speaker 1: Clancy has a mental issues there is no doubt about that.
- 7:53Speaker 1: But to say she didn't do it outright, is this
- 7:59Speaker 1: pattern of saying and almost cheering on murder. I hate
- 8:07Speaker 1: to say that, but that's what it feels like. And
- 8:10Speaker 1: we've seen it since. You know, there were people in
- 8:15Speaker 1: the twenty twenty four Times assassination of Frump that said, oh,
- 8:18Speaker 1: too bad, it only hit his ear. I mean, this
- 8:20Speaker 1: is the kind of radic we've been seeing. Then it
- 8:23Speaker 1: went to Luigi Cold that was cold killing of Brian Thompson.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Then we see this, Then we see Tyler Robinson and
- 8:39Speaker 1: some he has some supporters as well, I believe, and
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's horrible because it looks like he assassinated Charlie Kirk,
- 8:50Speaker 1: which is almost a year now, which is unbelievable to me.
- 8:59Speaker 1: But and this is gonna sound very very very very controversial.
- 9:15Speaker 1: If we don't hold MSS clancy accountable, then this postpartum
- 9:32Speaker 1: real depression and how accout of as the facts are
- 9:39Speaker 1: playing out. If it's found she didn't do it, then
- 9:42Speaker 1: that's a different story. But right now people are jumping
- 9:46Speaker 1: to conclusion women are just jumping on this bandwagon and
- 9:49Speaker 1: actually parading with her, you know, cheering her on it's
- 9:54Speaker 1: very very weird to me how they're lining up outside
- 9:58Speaker 1: the courthouse and cheering her on, and like, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I get the women defending women, but also women should
- 10:09Speaker 1: hold women to a standard of accountability because to presume
- 10:18Speaker 1: that she's innocent without knowing all the facts, and we
- 10:21Speaker 1: have three kids dead, that's the horrible part of it,
- 10:24Speaker 1: all three kids that should be here today because it
- 10:29Speaker 1: seems like the system failed everything in this situation. But
- 10:45Speaker 1: that's not a reason for someone to not seek out
- 10:50Speaker 1: the right help in my view, and that's where I'm
- 10:54Speaker 1: landing on this is there are so many options out there,
- 10:58Speaker 1: and unfortunately, she'd try to kill herself. Horrible, horrible. But
- 11:06Speaker 1: if we use unfortunately, if we use depression as a
- 11:10Speaker 1: reason that she's innocent, that demeans what actually women are
- 11:16Speaker 1: going through when they are seeking real help for this depression,
- 11:24Speaker 1: using all these different things as a crutch to avoid accountability,
- 11:30Speaker 1: the means the actual help that's needed, or demeans the
- 11:38Speaker 1: actual purpose of getting the help, because if you use
- 11:47Speaker 1: that as an excuse intead of treating it, then it
- 11:51Speaker 1: lessens that That's what I'm trying to say, it's lessons
- 11:56Speaker 1: the actual depths that we're dealing with here, and the
- 12:02Speaker 1: depths we're dealing with here is there's not enough treatment,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and maybe women are not encouraged to seek treatment. I
- 12:09Speaker 1: don't know, but I can't completely exonerate her either, and
- 12:19Speaker 1: I'm not gonna use the depression as a reason for
- 12:22Speaker 1: the killings. I'll say that's why she probably have mental issues,
- 12:26Speaker 1: but that's a that doesn't excuse why three kids are dead.
- 12:31Speaker 1: And we need to know for sure before we exonerate
- 12:36Speaker 1: and before we demonize a husband that probably wasn't even
- 12:41Speaker 1: there and probably it's feeling horrible. And I get the
- 12:54Speaker 1: women defending women, but also we need to have it
- 12:56Speaker 1: where women encourage women to get the help they need,
- 13:03Speaker 1: not just exonerate them for a murder of three innocent kits.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And that's my message at one leg of alex Media
