- 0:05Drama, Darling Drama, Darling Drama, Darling. Hey, guys, you're
- 0:20gonna love it, love it. Today's show is going to be off the
- 0:23hook. I got a couple of guests here joining me for the Beverly Hills
- 0:28finale recap. Well as always Emily, Teresa's Hi, EM's hello, Hello,
- 0:34Hello, one and all, Yes, and joining us a special guest,
- 0:40a dear friend, an incredible podcaster. It's Melissa Reich from the Your
- 0:46bish Therapist podcast. What Melissa, Melissa's in the house. Yes, babes,
- 0:54welcome Melissa. Actually, I should say Melissa is back because she was
- 1:00actually on the Monday episode with me, so we did Potomac. But she
- 1:07is back today to really break down the finale with us. A lot to
- 1:11talk about, and also right on the heels of launching her season two of
- 1:15Your Bish Therapist. Season one was a smash hit. She couldn't help but
- 1:21extend her stage, just like Arianna on Broadway. And so season two is
- 1:27unfolding as we speak, and she has incredible podcasts already dropping in season two.
- 1:34Melissa, tell us what you have in store, what's out now,
- 1:38and what's coming at Okay, so, so far I have two episodes of
- 1:45Paris and Love. One focuses the first one people really loved because I talk
- 1:51a lot about the Hilton family dynamic. I quaked in my boots, says
- 1:56I did it, but I did it anyway, and people really seem to
- 2:00enjoy that. The second parison Love, I talk about those hell like teenage
- 2:05hell camps, the wilderness camps, because I actually read Paris's book and so
- 2:10much of what she went through was featured. And so, you know,
- 2:14I have a platform, and I thought, well, why not give my
- 2:16voice to Paris's voice? And uh so we covered that, and then I
- 2:23just released an episode about Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which, oh yeah, wild.
- 2:27Halfway through that one, oh my gosh, that is a wild one
- 2:30wild. And then coming up, so this week I'm going to cover Housewife
- 2:37in the Hustler part two with Airic meeting with the victims, because I've gotten
- 2:43a lot of d ms about her stoic demeanor, shall we say, her
- 2:49performance? Yeah, yeah, well you can say that. I try to
- 2:53be you know, keep it keep it medium, but absolutely keep it angle.
- 3:00Hey, I'm Melissa Reich, and I'm keeping it medium because you know
- 3:06what's funny I was talking with some of my therapist friends the other day and
- 3:09they were like, man, they know Melissa the bish professional, but the
- 3:15real Melissa has a spicy inner child. And I'm like, I love a
- 3:20therapist coffee clatch, Like, how can I get up in there? Can
- 3:23you just put me on FaceTime and just put me in the corner and brought
- 3:24me up happy too? It's great? It really is great. So I'm
- 3:30going to cover a Housewife in The Hustler part two, and then I'm probably
- 3:34gonna cover some of the finale as well, just to do my signature deep
- 3:40dives, and you know, there was lots of fodder, so I'm going
- 3:44to do that, and then coming up, I'm going to have you the
- 3:47beautiful Amy phillips On. I'm going to have the wonderful Ryan Bailey. I
- 3:53am going to be having a woman named Mandy Slutsker who is a lobbyist in
- 3:59DC and he has a lot of information about how to help what we can
- 4:03do during twenty twenty part two, the election year from hell. So we're
- 4:11gonna we're gonna talk to you. Well, I know what to do.
- 4:14Just watch Housewives. It always works for me. Sure, Yeah, isn't
- 4:18that what we all are doing. Yeah, isn't that what we're telling the
- 4:20world isn't on fire while we're watching Bravo and just being like this is fine,
- 4:26Yeah, this is good, good stuff. Are you gonna cover Natalia
- 4:30Grace? Yes? I'm sorry, thank you for mentioning that I am gonna
- 4:34cover Natalia Grace. I think I blocked it out mentally because I have twenty
- 4:39pages of notes and it's so intense and so heavy, and I had such
- 4:45a strong reaction to Michael Barnett that I have to I have to manage myself
- 4:53before I go ahead and do that podcast, so I don't get myself in
- 4:56trouble because my word did I have a immediate a strong reaction, like you
- 5:01have a crush on him? Oh, how dare? How dare? I
- 5:11just wanted to make sure. I just wanted to clarify. You know,
- 5:14when you keep it, get to keep it medium. So you want to
- 5:17make sure you know where you're at, you know. Okay, let me
- 5:20be clear. I feel allergic to that man. Okay, I have an
- 5:25allergy. Okay, literal allergy to Michael Barnett, Like you need an EpiPen,
- 5:31Like I need benadryl. I need ivy drips, I need a hospital
- 5:38bed. I can't with that, man, I can't wait to hear it
- 5:44because I that Amy and I watched Natalia Grace and we did some episodes on
- 5:49it, and I would I feel like the documentary did not They did.
- 5:56They were kind of as neutral as could be with him, and I so
- 6:00wanted a real professional to be like, Okay, you're not alone in America.
- 6:05This guy is banana town. Well allow me to be that professional,
- 6:12because thank you is histrionic with a capital age, and I really do.
- 6:18I have this thing where I just have intuition about people, and the second
- 6:25he was on my screen, I'm not joking, I had a physical reaction.
- 6:30So I will definitely be talking all about that. Yes, yes,
- 6:34yeah, it's so funny that you failed to mention that, because it just
- 6:36goes to show when you explained it, it makes so much sense why that
- 6:40wouldn't be in the front of your mind. So let's give Melissa some time
- 6:45to let's give the bitch some time to like sit with that. But season
- 6:48one is up now, and you have so many you know, you just
- 6:53got started. So this whole podcast format, this whole platform is new to
- 6:59you, and so as you move through it, it's been so interesting to
- 7:03see how you've been growing and expanding and just really being able to nail down
- 7:10not only your format but your voice, and it's just absolutely intriguing. Also,
- 7:17you have an Instagram account, and so when you're not doing podcasts,
- 7:21you do you're very active on Instagram your bish therapist, in which you do
- 7:27put up you know, clinical interpretations of pop culture and sometimes specifically what happened
- 7:32last night on you know, Beverly Hills, or what happened on Potomac or
- 7:36isolated incidences incidents. I always get that word wrong. You know what I'm
- 7:43saying is it's that incidences. See, that's that's the Charisa me as you
- 7:50know what I mean, Like, that's where I go rogue as I'm staring
- 7:56at a picture of Teresa on my phone because it's in the news, so
- 7:59it just it seeps into my blood. Okay. So anyway, you really
- 8:03hone in on even specifics I'm trying to say, and you're so if you
- 8:11are not following your bish therapist on on Instagram, do that as well and
- 8:16listen to Season one has a ton of great stuff. Can you just give
- 8:18me a man with broadstroke, because oh yes, I would love to.
- 8:22Okay, Emily, let Emily take it, because she's always talking about it.
- 8:26I quote you constantly. So but but I think the big most eye
- 8:31opening episode, which I can't I've recommended a thousand times, is your Mary
- 8:37Cosby episode, because if you heard, like the Bravo Docket episode, this
- 8:41is uh, this takes it all in this like the whole psychological angle of
- 8:46it as well, and man, that is a ticking time bomb. I
- 8:50don't know how Bravo is still like this is a great idea to have Mary
- 8:56Cosby. I also heard that she just murmurs that she's actually coming back full
- 9:03time. I've read that. Yeah, And to be honest, thank you
- 9:09Emily for that shout out. I appreciate it because she's someone who I also
- 9:13have to be careful about because I'm so passionately opposed to everything about her and
- 9:18for me, the thought of Bravo bringing her back. To be honest,
- 9:22I will not watch Salt Lake City. I think it is an absolutely poor
- 9:28choice to keep featuring. Also, Kim Zolsiak, by the way, I
- 9:31don't know if you saw that she's officially coming back to Atlanta. What I
- 9:37say that, Wow, I've seen it sources well by way Hello Drama is
- 9:48usually a pretty good source. I follow them on Instagram and she said it's
- 9:54confirmed that Kim's coming back. Now listen. I don't know if that's yeah.
- 9:56I'm not sure that's not confirmed. I don't I don't know if that's
- 10:00true. But uh, okay, yeah, okay. My point is I
- 10:05think that there's a lot of amazing women. So why why you know,
- 10:11That's what I'm going to say. Just why can we bring volume up,
- 10:16volume up different women who are fabulous and not taking advantage of people or not
- 10:22so sick that they're clearly struggling. Like, let's let's let's do something different.
- 10:26Bravo. If anyone's listening, Actually, you had a great episode on
- 10:31Kim Andy, and that was really an eye opener. And the thing that
- 10:37I really love about you and your angle on things is that you are incredibly
- 10:43supportive and empathetic, and so when you listen to your opinions, you're not
- 10:50taking these people down. You are in many in many respects. You know,
- 10:56for example, the Paris or the Kim episode. You know, a
- 11:00lot of the times you will be like just their absolute cheerleader and you applaud
- 11:07them for what they've been through and you help. It's wild to listen because
- 11:11it's like I listen and I'm going, huh, what does that say about
- 11:15me? Or you know, it starts to your mind starts to go in
- 11:18that direction. But you really are an incredibly supportive person when you talk about
- 11:24these things, and I really love that because you're, like you said,
- 11:26you have to be careful about things, and you are careful and I love
- 11:31that. I love that when you dissect these things. It's it's not necessarily
- 11:35with kid gloves, but it is with a lot of care, you know,
- 11:39and uh and truth yes, yes, yeah, well thank you.
- 11:43I appreciate that because I do get a lot of feedback I'm not so great
- 11:50and so you know, for me, what my podcast is about, it's
- 11:54not trying to be snarky or unkind, although I do have a spicy your
- 11:58child, and of course I'm human and I have a opinions. We are
- 12:01all just humans and we are all suffering and through things that you know,
- 12:05for me, it's I don't want to take him down. Do I like
- 12:09her personally? No, but I think she's a very sick person, and
- 12:13so I have empathy right for you know, for the underlying issues that create
- 12:18the behavior. So that is something that I appreciate about myself. And you
- 12:24know, sometimes people give me flack for it because they think it's just condoning
- 12:28the behavior, but you know, understanding the why and you know, appealing
- 12:35to someone's humanity isn't condoning it. It's just an empathetic approach. So I
- 12:39appreciate that that feedback. Yeah, absolutely, well, get up into uh
- 12:45the uh into your podcast areas. But that was weird your podcast cavities oop.
- 12:54I think there's some podcasts here. Get up in there. Don't be
- 12:58afraid of it, you know what I mean? A mirror out, this
- 13:03is the Potomac Trip. And draw your podcast. Draw, you know,
- 13:09put some dildos in a pinata and like see what you got, you know,
- 13:13see what shakes out? And also star Pinata Star and draw your pa
- 13:24podcast. There you go. Well, I'm so glad you're here, ladies.
- 13:28We got to get into some dish serving dish all right. Well,
- 13:33since we're talking about Beverly Hills, I don't know if any of you saw
- 13:37the other day the Beverly Hills. Looks from the reunion are out and obviously
- 13:41we saw a teaser from it, but boy, these ladies look really fabulous.
- 13:46It looks like kind of some jewel tones. You know, we've got
- 13:48some gold and some jewel tones. And I would say, you know the
- 13:54Kathy Hilton because we found out she's showing up. Obviously, Kathy Hilton is
- 13:58classic Kathy, with kind of a sham pain look and a handbag, always
- 14:03a handbag. On her Christmas party, she rewore an outfit, which I
- 14:07say, thank you, Kathy, Wow, Emily you wow. I did
- 14:13not my eagle eye did not catch that at somebody else did oh. I
- 14:16was okay, wow. I was like, dang, girl, that's that's
- 14:18amazing. We have some royal blues and some Hunter greens. And now what
- 14:24did you guys think of Jurite? What what's so funny? I guess I
- 14:30knew them and I had, okay, this is going to be. I
- 14:41like to be a champion of women, and I certainly never insult appearance,
- 14:45but I my brain sometimes does these things that I can't control. And when
- 14:50I saw Durit, I immediately thought of Catherine O'Hara's character in Beetlejuice Delia Dat's
- 15:00Oh my gosh, you were so right right that the hair like pasted to
- 15:05the head is so dearly adds yeah that I just can't take that. Seriously,
- 15:09all I see is Catherine O'Hara. Oh, it so deeply dumb.
- 15:15I can't get over it. It's gonna drive me crazy during the reunion because
- 15:20somebody be like, you have a piece of hair. I mean, look
- 15:22at me. I'm trying to deal with my bangs right now. I should
- 15:24talk anyway. I love a risk, and it doesn't that means it doesn't
- 15:31always work. Sure. The photo of her, I was like, oh,
- 15:37like, it's very like Whitney Houston album circa nineteen eighty six. But
- 15:43the uh but then on a couch it looks ridiculous. Well yeah, because
- 15:48you've got that side view and it just yeah, somebody says she's dressed like
- 15:52an esophagus. I wish I remember that. And you know what, the
- 16:02side view it kind of makes her look like et Oh my god, she's
- 16:10so beautiful. And I agreed a risk is beautiful, but whoever suggested that
- 16:15did her so dirty? Because you did? And sitting down chic I had
- 16:22gotten out of the shower and I grabbed a red towel and I put it
- 16:27over my head. My hair was a mess, but I had this one
- 16:30piece of hair that was sticking out of the towel and I said, oh
- 16:34my god, Piquet, look at this. This is the look and he
- 16:38said, bipe bite. That's it. This dress is called the hair.
- 16:45And that's when I decided to wear it. Yeah, it's you know,
- 16:48it's problematic. I think it's problematic. It is it is, and the
- 16:55fact that it's such a bright color, like you can't not look at it.
- 17:00Yeah, but I don't know if the other Yeah, well it was
- 17:07a risk. Okay, and here we are moving on on watch What Happens
- 17:11Live last night. Kyle was the guest, and a couple things about that
- 17:15show is that Morgan was with her at the show. Yeah, I saw
- 17:21the the step and carpet, yes, stepan repeat, thank you afterwards or
- 17:26before? And uh they Morgan had her hand on Kyle's like it was below
- 17:32the waist little pat on the butt? Really yes, yeah, I saw
- 17:38that this morning. Okay, what Yeah, I never saw that. I
- 17:42want to see the pat on the butt? Where did you see it?
- 17:47I don't have Agram where you well, I mean, it's got to be
- 17:52everyone. I've already deleted Instagram again. Okay, don't look, we don't
- 18:00have that kind of time, get right, but just you'll see it.
- 18:02It's going to be oh yeah, okay, are you seeing it? No?
- 18:08But another piece of news popped up. This makes so much sense.
- 18:12Page six is reporting and this is breaking twenty minutes ago that Wendy Williams has
- 18:17been diagnosed with front fronto temporal dementia as well as aphasia. Oh that makes
- 18:27so much sense. Oh God, bless her. Oh my god, I'm
- 18:33so upsetting, Melissa. Do you know exactly what that is? So here's
- 18:40what I'm yes and no, what I'm wandering is I was reading about there
- 18:45are brain issues that can happen from chronic alcohol use, and there's something called
- 18:52Wernicky Karsakov syndrome, which involves mix the IT mimics kind of like a dementia,
- 19:03and you see it in folks who have really struggled with alcohol for a
- 19:07long time. Their brains get very impacted. So I'm not suggesting that this
- 19:11is due to alcohol, because from from what I'm hearing, if this was
- 19:17diagnosed properly. It doesn't sound like this the syndrome that I'm talking about,
- 19:22but it does share a lot of similarity. So like the you said prefrontal
- 19:27cortex, correct, So the pre fronto temporal dementia okay, so well prefrontal
- 19:34cortex is control impulses, and so you know, it would explains a lot
- 19:41based on you know, the concerns that we've had and the behaviors that we've
- 19:45seen. But I yeah, I would be happy to do a deep dive
- 19:49into that to look into that form. Wow, that is just it just
- 19:56it makes so much sense. And uh yeah, our love always goes out
- 19:59to Williams on that there is some sort of like show coming out about her
- 20:03as well, the documentary. Yeah, that'll be interesting. Well there you
- 20:08go, Melissa. I will definitely be covering that. Yeah yeah, so
- 20:18all right, Well, in other news, Mauricio, you know he's on
- 20:22his show Buying Beverly Hills. Well apparently you know, this just came out
- 20:27yesterday that there's a big scene on Buying Beverly Hills when he talks to his
- 20:33daughters about he and Kyle. What did you guys think about that? Kyle
- 20:37spoke on that on Watch What Happens. That was the other thing that she
- 20:41had mentioned that she was also a little surprised by that, and she said
- 20:48that that was not exactly her understanding of the situation as he explained it about
- 20:53seeing other people, et cetera at the time they recorded it, and she
- 20:59was also you could tell it caught her off guard because she's been I think
- 21:04that they had an understanding of how they were going to present this publicly and
- 21:08with their kids, and it seemed like my read on it was that maybe
- 21:15Mauricio took a step outside of that boundary level and it was a big Kyle
- 21:22was surprised, and she didn't shy away from that. On Watch What Happens,
- 21:26I agree with that you could tell she was completely taken back, and
- 21:30it seems like Mauriciu is playing from his own book. And I think,
- 21:36you know, when we talk about Beverly Hills, what happened on Watch What
- 21:40Happens Live and her being taken aback, I think is some of the confusion
- 21:44that we saw when we when we saw them sitting down as a family,
- 21:48they are not on the same page at all, and I think she is
- 21:52trying to do what they agreed upon and he is not, which is very
- 21:57indicative of what's Yeah, I'm trying to yeah, he love like hard nodding
- 22:12at her like this is what we are saying, right right, never agree
- 22:18to this? Right? Wow? Okay, all right quickly the Miami trailer,
- 22:26oh dear hold on so uh anyway, and other news, Teresa is
- 22:33and was on actually a show so you can catch her. It aired last
- 22:37night. She was on Fox's Celebrity Name That Tune on on Fox and Hulu.
- 22:45So check her out. Yeah that twinkle twinkle at us? Stop say
- 22:52this is yeah, I will check that out. I would love to see
- 22:55Teresa do that. I also need to see that. I cannot imagine a
- 23:00world where she is successful. I can't because we don't want her to be
- 23:06like that, right, we don't want her to be we want yeah.
- 23:14Yeah, all right, guys, Well let's get into it. We're going
- 23:18to talk about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale. But before we get
- 23:23into it, I've got to tell you about factor. Okay. So,
- 23:29Factor is this incredible ready to eat meal situation. And here's why it's important
- 23:36for my life because not only am I a working mom, but I have.
- 23:41You know, I'm addicted to obviously like reality television and what have you.
- 23:45So a lot of the times I don't really have the time to like
- 23:49make a long meal. So what I love to do is just get these
- 23:53ready to eat meals. They are ready in two minutes, so I can
- 23:57fuel up and get behind my computer and watch watch watch. Okay, so
- 24:03you can heat it up and eat whenever and wherever you want. There's snacks,
- 24:06smoothies, there's more. You can get an entire wide variety of options.
- 24:11Decide how many meals you want. You can do just dinners. You
- 24:15can do all three meals a day, plus snacks and smoothies. It's a
- 24:19ton of stuff. These are chef crafted and dietician approved meals and they're delivered
- 24:26right to your door. You get all these different options Keto, Calorie,
- 24:30Smart, Vegan, Veggie, and more, and you can sign up and
- 24:33save. Now we've done. The math factor is less expensive than takeout.
- 24:37It's fast, it's easy, it's flexible. You can choose six to eighteen
- 24:41meals per week, and you can pause or reschedule your deliveries. There's no
- 24:45prep and there's no mess. And you know, we like to be messy,
- 24:52but you're not going to get your mess here. So Factor Meals are
- 24:55one hundred percent ready to heat and eat, So no prepping, no cooking,
- 24:59cleanup. Head to Factor meals dot com slash drama fifty and use code
- 25:03drama fifty to get fifty percent off. That's code drama fifty at factormeals dot
- 25:08com. Slash drama fifty to get fifty percent off. All right, thank
- 25:15you. I'm totally I ordered, so I'll let you know it's coming soon.
- 25:18Okay, great, Well I love it. You're gonna love it.
- 25:22Emily, You're just as busy as I am. Yeah, I can't wait.
- 25:26All right, So let's get into Beverly Hills. Oh but duh,
- 25:30so I really you know, typically we don't just jump to things, but
- 25:36I want to jump past everything and then we'll circle back later to our white
- 25:40party. Don't worry about it. But I would like to talk about the
- 25:42family meeting. Okay, I want to talk about the one week later.
- 25:48We know we wrapped up the show and then one week later Kyle and can
- 25:53I can I real quick? Just a note to the editors, Bravo,
- 25:59your time stone was off and it really screwed me up because it said July
- 26:04twenty third was like the screen, and then all the tweets it actually happened
- 26:11July third, and all the tweets and articles that came up, and the
- 26:15People magazine retraction that all came July third and fourth, and when they flashed
- 26:21up, that was the timestamp and all the tweets and articles. So I
- 26:25just a note editors put the July twenty third after all that once we get
- 26:30into the meeting, so that we know this is like twenty days. They've
- 26:34been dealing with this for twenty days now because they went through the trouble of
- 26:38telling us that. But it was so convoluted, and it was actually helpful
- 26:44to know they've been sitting and working through this for twenty days since the instead
- 26:48of like it's it's July twenty third. This just came out four minutes ago.
- 26:52Everybody said, you know what I mean, it was just a little
- 26:56convoluted. Yeah, anyway, No, it's important. I mean, I
- 27:00mean we're look, we were living in we're living in face reality sixteen world
- 27:03now where they're screenshots, timeline everything. So but Emily, to your point,
- 27:11it doesn't form our perspective, right, if we're watching this family twenty
- 27:18days after this happened, I think that is a really important piece when we're
- 27:23you know, for me at least, when we're when I'm observing their behaviors.
- 27:26Right. So, yeah, good point. And it does make sense
- 27:30in the narrative when they're talking about it, because they're talking about it like
- 27:33it has been a while, you know, not like it had just happened.
- 27:37To know that this family meeting didn't just happen immediately thereafter, Like they've
- 27:42had discussions, they've discussed, they've talked about it, I think, I
- 27:47mean on some level. Right, So we are one week well, okay,
- 27:52so it says one week later, but Kyle and Mo they they're in
- 27:57the kitchen and and he's like, you know, I have to go to
- 28:02Panama for the agency. And then he's well, he says, I'm glad.
- 28:07It's just it's you out there having an affair, you know, for
- 28:11once, or she says, well for once, it's me, and his
- 28:14face is just like a goop to say that, right, right, we
- 28:19didn't agree on that? Or did we? He's like his face is always
- 28:23like did we agree on that? I don't remember that and Kyle and her
- 28:29confessional. You know, we begin this journey with this very emotional confessional from
- 28:33here on until the end, where she's saying, I feel like my kids
- 28:37have lived a fairy tale. But now after the article, the rug has
- 28:41been pulled out from under them. And by the articles, they mean the
- 28:45People article about them separating, and we know that she also put up her
- 28:52statement saying there's been no discussion about divorce, so she had made that clear.
- 28:57And now we get into the family meeting, so we've got all the
- 29:03girls there, and so I thought that Kyle handled this beautifully, not only
- 29:11with her kids but with them being on camera, which I can't even imagine.
- 29:18But she tried to keep it light but also give it the weight that
- 29:22it deserved and tried her hard is to not freak her kids out and show
- 29:27all of her pain in front of them, but by saying, you know,
- 29:32after everything that's been going on, I wanted to see if you guys
- 29:34had any questions, and Mauricio said, we haven't told you everything because we're
- 29:38trying to protect you. Kyle said that we haven't talked about divorce, just
- 29:44so you know that, and Sophia says well, all those times that there
- 29:48were rumors out there that just came out of nowhere, that was one thing.
- 29:52But this time, you know, we already know that you're not having
- 29:56a good year, so this is hitting different. And now everyone's reaching out,
- 30:00so it's a bigger deal. And now the girls are asking, well,
- 30:03what do you do with your relationship? What's your plan? And Kyle
- 30:07said, since we're busy, we're working, we're going to be taking this
- 30:11time while we're working through our stuff. And then both girls say, two
- 30:15of them say, so you're taking more space. And this was interesting because
- 30:19you're realizing this is the first time they've talked about this part. And Kyle
- 30:23says, I don't want to leave. I don't want dad to leave,
- 30:26but we're going to do this under the same roof and we're going to just
- 30:30keep working on It's like, no're not in that moment. I couldn't.
- 30:37I'm like Jesus, yeah, Joseph. And then when Porscha cried, that
- 30:45was so sad and it was heartbreaking. And then Kyle quotes Pink, which
- 30:49I thought was incredibly smart. I mean, we're not broken, we're just
- 30:52bent, and that we're a strong family and we always will be it.
- 31:00This was heartbreaking because you really saw the pain that the girls have to undergo.
- 31:03And then, of course Kyle said, at the very end, I've
- 31:08come to realize that there's a big chance that we're not going to end up
- 31:11together. And the producer says, what is the issue that the two of
- 31:15you can't let go of? She says, there were things that happened that
- 31:21made me lose my trust and I wasn't able to recover from. We have
- 31:26a montage of Kyle and Mauricio forever, and then we get you know,
- 31:30the end. I cried me too, when I cried with the girls with
- 31:36Porsche was crying. I was really devastated. I mean, for me,
- 31:41it was the grief was palpable. And what was so sad is you know,
- 31:48you've heard all this rhetoric right up until this point about how this is
- 31:52a stunt, and in the moment I just was so angry, like,
- 31:56who thinks that this woman would do this to her children for a stunt?
- 32:04Right? It was so clearly an issue with her and Mo she is being
- 32:08honest about it, but you know what the problem is, how on earth
- 32:14can they be clear about what's going on if they don't understand it themselves.
- 32:19So I think that there has been this hard line towards Kyle because people just
- 32:23love to hate her and they, you know, will take any opportunity.
- 32:28But what they're missing in this is this. This is what family grief looks
- 32:32like when a family is disintegrating, and it's awful. And I've had,
- 32:37you know, I've led therapy sessions that you know, this feeling. It's
- 32:42intense and it's very very sad, and to me, it is one hundred
- 32:46percent authentic. And I cried a ton. It was just very awful.
- 32:52How did you think that Kyle handled a situation with the girls? I truly
- 32:59think she handled it excellently because one of the things I wrote down that just
- 33:05made me so angry. You know, Porscha starts crying because you know,
- 33:08of course Porsia's the youngest, right, She's still a child. I mean,
- 33:13she's still young. And Mauricio looks at her and he's like, oh,
- 33:15Porsche, what's wrong. And I'm like, what's wrong? Yeah,
- 33:20what do you mean? What's wrong? That was so wild? Mauricio,
- 33:24Planet Earth is calling you, like the agency has stolen your brain. Come
- 33:30back to Planet earth and stop asking your child what's wrong. She is devastated
- 33:37that the two of you are you know, you were her role models,
- 33:40and so I think Kyle handled it excellently. I did think the pink quote
- 33:45was I was like, where have I heard that before? So you just
- 33:49put a name to it, because I was like, that's an interesting way
- 33:52to put it. It's great, it's a great way to put it.
- 33:54And that's just a banger of a song. Oh. Absolutely, the thing
- 34:00I think Kyle did the best, and this is just my intuition. She
- 34:05was when she was comforting Portia, she whispered something in her ear that to
- 34:08me, it was like it was it was kind of like, Okay,
- 34:13we're filming and this sucks, but you're doing great and we're getting through this,
- 34:16right. So it just reminded me that we are filming these very vulnerable,
- 34:24grief filled, intense moments, and these are people that are processing on
- 34:29and off camera. So I think that I appreciate Kyle's willingness to always attend
- 34:36to her daughter's emotional needs, and in that moment, we saw in real
- 34:40time how Mauricio is unable to do that, and that is one of the
- 34:45key factors in my opinion, that is leading to this divorce. Yeah,
- 34:52and there may have been infidelity, but I think like the steps prior to
- 34:58infidelity are what you're saying, Melissa, Yeah, because right she was denying
- 35:04or I don't know if she was necessarily denying that, but she did say,
- 35:07this has nothing to do with anybody else. It's between us, and
- 35:14so that seemed to kind of contradict what she said at the end about their
- 35:19you know, there were things that happened and I can't get over it,
- 35:23you know, well, can I be honest? My interpretation of that is
- 35:30that, you know, when Loreen passed away. I think that what I
- 35:37get this is just my therapist intuition, is she feels emotionally abandoned by Mauricio.
- 35:44And whether or not he cheated, you know, I can't speak to
- 35:49that. I don't know she's insisting that he didn't, but to me,
- 35:52I want to go out and a lemon, say, even if he cheated,
- 35:54I think the emotional abandonment is what lost her and pushed her to this
- 36:00point more than anything. Yeah, my opinion, that's a really good point
- 36:06because it does seem like even if there was infidelity on his end or her
- 36:10end. That's not what is the ultimate breaking point for either of them,
- 36:15and they would be able to come back from that or what have you.
- 36:20But that, yes, where she needs him the most. I think too,
- 36:25she's got to protect their girls, and so if there was infidelity,
- 36:30keep in mind, and especially if it was like a inner circle in fidelity,
- 36:35which I'm not saying that's what it is, but if it got to
- 36:37the point where there was some really boundary crossing infidelity, we were on the
- 36:42heels of scandabal and I don't think Kyle wanted to make their dad Tom sand
- 36:47of all, you know what I mean, and so not knowing how that's
- 36:51going to hit the press, I think she was also maybe protecting Mauricio if
- 36:55there was a larger scandal involved. And I've never faulted her for that.
- 37:02I don't fault Kyle for any of it, because even just watching that scene
- 37:07where I'm like, I think that maybe where I fault I'm like, man,
- 37:10maybe you didn't have to film this scene with the kids because Porsia is
- 37:15like fifteen, sixteen years old, and maybe the older girls. Yes,
- 37:20But I feel like for Porsche, she's had a lot of loss in her
- 37:24life. And I mean that in the sense that she's the one that stays
- 37:28home while everybody leaves, grows up and moves out, and so that attachment
- 37:32with your older sibling when they're moving out, and she's done it several times
- 37:36now, and we see like when those when she's reunited with her older sisters,
- 37:40it's like a homecoming of all homecomings. So I can't imagine how heavy
- 37:45this is that she's now going to have her parents moving like for Porsche.
- 37:50I just feel so bad for Porsha and all this, and I wish that
- 37:52maybe she didn't have to film that, but you know, I'm not.
- 37:58This is where it gets tricky in terms of reality TV, Like and maybe
- 38:01in that family it's totally fine. I don't know, but yeah, well,
- 38:06you know, it's such a good point. And but the other side
- 38:08of that coin is also I think the crap, like the crap that Kyle's
- 38:13gotten up until this point about just be honest, you're not being honest.
- 38:17So imagine how she would have been raked over the coals if she didn't film
- 38:22that, right, And so this is where I feel sometimes reality TV it's
- 38:28not what's best for us emotionally not at all. It's right, you know,
- 38:34it's it's entertainment using people's pain, and unfortunately it's like we you know,
- 38:40for me, I have to come to terms with that as I'm watching
- 38:44this, because you're right in real life that that never should have been filmed.
- 38:47But for these purposes. It would have been a real issue if Kyle
- 38:52hadn't right, because if she was getting about because this is just like you
- 38:57said, Emily about how or Melissa, that so many people were questioning if
- 39:02this was something that was a PR stunt, and one look at that scene
- 39:07and clearly it's not. Also, I would three out of those girls are
- 39:14already on reality television of their own, or two of them on buying Beverly
- 39:19Hills. Right. That's why I think maybe Porsia I would have been fine,
- 39:22Like I think it would have been devastating enough without Porsche. And I
- 39:27just think about Porsche in that because she really her brain isn't she's you know,
- 39:32fifteen six, she's a kid, So I just like functioning with that.
- 39:37I mean, life is already crazy enough in high school and everything,
- 39:40so I just felt like maybe Porsche didn't have to be there, But like,
- 39:45yeah, I don't know, know, I totally get your point.
- 39:47I want to, you know, protect the kids. And that is the
- 39:51part that made us all cry, you know, and you really felt it
- 39:55because you just think about how we've followed them in their lives, I mean,
- 40:00Kyle and her sisters and all the girls, the flashback, the montage
- 40:05of Portia being just a tiny little tot. It is unbelievable how long we've
- 40:09been watching this family. So it was a breakup for everybody, really,
- 40:15And are they going to come back from this? That's that's the question.
- 40:21Now the they are still living under the same roof now correcting, Yeah,
- 40:30it's Tom and Adriana. The four of them are living together, Tom,
- 40:32Atriana, Marisio and Kyle not that. Yeah, and I will watch all
- 40:37separate rooms. That's funny. And is the assistant that like connects them all.
- 40:45Yeah, it's called the White not the White Party, but the White
- 40:50Noise Machine. That's the name of the show. Like one white noise machine
- 40:53going all the time. Big sister, not big brother. It's just like
- 40:58they all live in the same else, but they can never be in the
- 41:00same room. That's the challenge. So yeah, it did seem like when
- 41:09you brought this up earlier, Melissa, that and Mauricio and Kyle weren't on
- 41:13the same page. But they are trying to figure things out as they go.
- 41:19And that's what's kind of tricky, because Kyle doesn't know what she's gonna
- 41:24do either. You know, she has to land in this place. And
- 41:29I think when she met with Erica that was, you know, obviously a
- 41:35good turning point for her, which is like, she has to work it
- 41:38out no matter what, regardless of what everyone else's opinions are, regardless she
- 41:45has been and I liked what Erica said, You've been a great wife,
- 41:49a mother, a daughter, a sister, and you need to take this
- 41:51time to figure out what you need and where you need to go with this
- 41:54life, which I thought was great advice because it doesn't really pressure you to
- 42:00have the answer right now, but you just have to sit in this and
- 42:02figure it out. And Kyle saying and if we can't work it out,
- 42:07you know, dot dot dot, And then here we are at the end
- 42:12with her making this statement, which is that she feels like he can dissip
- 42:21you know, they they she wasn't able to recover from whatever else whatever happened
- 42:27Yeah, Well maybe she just didn't have any gas in the tank left after
- 42:30everything else. So maybe maybe whatever it was she could have gotten over in
- 42:35the past, but just now not enough going on, I think, Emily.
- 42:40I think that that is the most important point here that people are missing,
- 42:46is that they're over focusing on the working out and the sobriety, which,
- 42:52dear God. But when people change, they evolve and behaviors change,
- 43:00right, So, Kyle, I believe we are watching someone who is in
- 43:06flux, who is in a period of their life where they are changing and
- 43:10growing and evolving, and she doesn't know what the hell she wants. It
- 43:15really is kind of like what we go through when we're teenagers. It does
- 43:17happen, you know, in midlife, and it's not just you know,
- 43:22being a teenager where we have these existential crises of do you know Listen,
- 43:27I've been with my husband for twenty two years, and so what I can
- 43:30tell you is that Mauricio and Kyle grew up together, as did my husband
- 43:34and I. We went in college. I was twenty years old when we
- 43:37met and I'm now forty three. And so the reason why I share that
- 43:40is that people, a lot of people don't understand the evolutions of people in
- 43:46these long term, multiple decades relationships. Both people change, right, and
- 43:52as a couple, you evolve and change too, And so it's really common
- 43:58when you know, kids start leaving the nest and you get into mid life,
- 44:02your priorities change, things change, and so you either grow apart or
- 44:07you grow together. And I think what we are watching is Kyle is devastated
- 44:13over the fact that she is being emotionally abandoned by Mauricio. She's been such
- 44:17a dedicated wife and mother for all of these years. She prided herself on
- 44:22being perfect, which you know that wasn't good either, But now she's lost.
- 44:27She's floating in a sea of ambiguity, and she's like, I don't
- 44:30know what's going on with this man in my twenty seven year relationship. My
- 44:34kids are leaving the house, what's going on with me? Like, I
- 44:37just think we're seeing somebody who's going through it. And instead of throwing stones
- 44:42and being nasty, we just have to give her the space to figure out
- 44:45who the hell she is, what she wants, how her and Mauricio manage
- 44:51this. I mean, it's a complex situation. There's not one answer that
- 44:55she can give that's going to satisfy anyone. And I think that's in my
- 45:00frustration over the season with the ladies. They're not asking the right questions,
- 45:07true, detective, that's question. Yeah. And you know when we're seeing
- 45:17you know, clips from the reunion and we're seeing or rather even Sutton's reaction
- 45:23about this on the phone with Garcel, it's nauseating. You know, they
- 45:29do sound like Danvers and Navarro detective, like they're like evidence receipts, while
- 45:37it's like you barely know anything about Sutton. I keep saying that, I'm
- 45:40just like, I don't know anything about you, Sutton, Like who are
- 45:44you right now? To Well, this is going to make me very livid
- 45:47because I think to myself, you guys are going to come at her at
- 45:51the reunion and say you were supposed to be honest. It's a show.
- 45:52It's a show. It's like, guys, you just got here, sorry,
- 45:57you just got here. Guess who was here at the very beginning showing
- 46:00their entire life and their sister, Like you can't speak on this trademark,
- 46:07Candy Burris, you know, speak on it, Like I just feel like
- 46:13this is gonna irritate me to no end. If they're holding her feet to
- 46:15the fire about all season you were lying to us, Fuck you all seasons.
- 46:20She was being true to who she was, trying to get through her
- 46:23life and film a show and try to figure out who she is. You
- 46:29know, I don't. I would not hold that against her as somebody who's
- 46:32lying, like them saying, oh, she she knew this all along and
- 46:37she was withholding information. No, that's not gonna fly. I would repeat,
- 46:44go ahead, no, No, I can't handle Erica right now being
- 46:51by Kyle's side and then wanting her to be quote unquote oviscerated at the reunion.
- 46:55I don't understand that. I don't get that. Are we missing just
- 47:00standing something? I don't. She's equating Kyle's marriage falling apart, which is
- 47:06kind of a normal cycle of relationships. It's on the normal spectrum of things
- 47:10that happened to her husband defrauding victims of a plane crash and then the fallout
- 47:19financially for her. No, and I'm like, Erica, these are not
- 47:22the same things. Oh what are you doing? And so Andy said that
- 47:27to Kyle, right, he said, Erica told me to eviserate you.
- 47:31Mm hmm. Oh my god, Yeah, that's in the trailer. Yeah,
- 47:35And I saw that and I was like, that can't be possibly true,
- 47:40Like is there editing tricks here going on? And then I saw them
- 47:44sitting on the couch next to each other, and I'm like, huh,
- 47:47so uh, this is going to be a real issue, a real problem.
- 47:53I just feel so irate that people. So there's a common fallacy see
- 48:00that the general population uses with comparing apples and oranges, and people love a
- 48:07comparison, but they don't understand sometimes that when you're making that, you can't
- 48:14always equate A to B. It's not that simple. And I repeat,
- 48:17how can Kyle be honest about something that she is a actively grieving and be
- 48:25actively trying to figure out? It is not as if we found out this
- 48:30would be different if we found out that they had been divorced for years and
- 48:34we just never knew, right, Like, that is a wholly different situation.
- 48:38This is happening in real time. Kyle is a human being who is
- 48:44watching her life fall apart. She's lost her best friend, she didn't have
- 48:49a relationship with her sister at this point, her husband's emotionally abandon her,
- 48:52her kids are leaving the house. We just have to remember her humanity and
- 48:59give her some damn grace. Like, people, how do you how everyone
- 49:04listening to this? How do you think you might react if a camera was
- 49:07pointed in your face and you were dealing with all that? Like, I
- 49:09just maintain that Erica and all of these people that I do believe are going
- 49:15to want her feet held to the fire, are are having this like this
- 49:22cognitive belief that's incorrect, That it's not the same. It's not about honesty.
- 49:29It's about grief and a messy situation and not knowing how to explain it.
- 49:35And I do believe if the other women had asked her different questions,
- 49:37they would have gotten a whole lot more information. What kind of questions are
- 49:42you saying that they could have asked that would have been better? Okay,
- 49:45great, I can I'll rattle them off gop fire. Okay. Kyle,
- 49:51you say that you're having trouble with Marie and it has a big it been
- 49:54a great year. Tell me what that's been like for you? What does
- 50:00that mean for you? How can I help? What are you tell me?
- 50:06Help me understand what you're going through? Right when you ask those questions
- 50:12from a place of care, concern and understanding. You're going to get the
- 50:16answers that you're not going to get when you're saying, well, is it
- 50:22a ring because he cheated on you? Like the whole overfocusing, the ladies
- 50:25shot themselves in the foot when they were over focusing on the jewelry, the
- 50:30working out and the sobriety. It's hey, I see you're changing a lot.
- 50:37Tell me what that's about for you? Are you okay? What's happening
- 50:40that I see these changes. I hear you say they're positive, but here
- 50:44are my concerns, right, So, and again, I'm a therapist,
- 50:46so I'm trained at this. So it seems easy enough. But if any
- 50:51of the ladies had actually tried to have a conversation, we may have gotten
- 50:54more about this sooner than we did. Hmm. Interesting. I think to
- 50:59reach tried a little bit. And remember in that car ride, I think
- 51:02Kyle was driving, Jury was a passenger, but it was more about Durrett's
- 51:07feelings and so, which is weird because it's so unlike and like a housewife
- 51:14too. And Erica, you know, never does that either, especially in
- 51:16this conversation with Kylin. Oh that was me. That's how I felt.
- 51:20That's how it is. You know, It's like I can't stand it.
- 51:22Don't put your shit on me when I'm sure you're trying to comfort me,
- 51:25and yet you're bringing in your stuff. It's it kind of negates it a
- 51:29little bit. Yeah, maybe you can speak to that, yeah, because
- 51:34I feel like sometimes you want to be like, no, I understand where
- 51:37you're coming from, but then you kind of make it sound like you're taking
- 51:42over their situation, right, And so yes, there's there's a way to
- 51:49relate, and then there's a way to compare and make it about yourself.
- 51:53And dere H and Erica I don't think are good at you know, their
- 51:59goal is to relate, right, and they both do have a lot of
- 52:02things that they can relate to Kyle with. But I absolutely agree that they
- 52:07both made it about themselves. And in fact, especially with Derey, there
- 52:12was a defensive tone and tenor with her communication with Kyle and the car that
- 52:17immediately Kyle is a sensitive soul and as an intuitive person, she's going to
- 52:23sense that and her barriers are going to go right up. So yes,
- 52:28there is a way to say, girl, you know, this is how
- 52:31it felt for me. But my goodness, I can't even unders begin to
- 52:36understand what you're going through. So help me understand it. That's a good
- 52:39way to say, yeah, I've been through it, I hear you,
- 52:43but I'm not comparing, So tell me, help me understand your pain.
- 52:49And I think Eric and Durrey a thousand percent fall short there. They're just
- 52:52two people. I don't know if they're super capable of that. Yeah,
- 52:57there aren't many housewives that are capable of it. But so when we talk
- 53:01about Morgan, because it didn't really come up here, but that seems to
- 53:07be their focus always is the Morgan thing, meaning the ring, the working
- 53:13out, the way that they're dressing. And this editing really didn't you know,
- 53:19shy away from that either, because at the end it said, like
- 53:22Kyle reckincile with Kathy making everything honky dory for Whitney's wedding. Kyle and Mauricio
- 53:28continue to live their lives separately, and then they show a Daily Mail headline
- 53:31it's like Kylin Morgan rumored lesbian lover on road trip wearing magic hats, looking
- 53:37the same, you know, you know, just every possible. They just
- 53:42really like blew that out, and which made it very comical because it took
- 53:47away from the weight of the of the actual issues, you know, and
- 53:52just kind of made it into some kind of cliche story ending. But what
- 53:58what are your thoughts on that Melissa with Morgan and they had that recently,
- 54:04all the pictures were scrubbed from Morgan's Morgan and Kyle's pages of each other,
- 54:09and yet now we see that they're fine. They spoke out that they're fine,
- 54:13they didn't have a fight, and Morgan was at Watch What Happens Live
- 54:15with Kyle last night, So it's sort of all it's very twisty turney,
- 54:21it's very confusing, and I didn't see the butt pat as Emily said,
- 54:24But what are your thoughts on the Morgan sitch? Okay, so my thoughts
- 54:30on the Morgan situation are that, you know, as a therapist who is
- 54:35culturally competent and trained in terms of the lgbt QI, plus you know,
- 54:39population, I have two different feelings about this. The one is that it's
- 54:45it's strangely reductive to look at a human being and to say, well,
- 54:51when you were with Mauricio, you were straight, and now you're a lesbian,
- 54:54and it's like, well, sexuality is more fluid than that, and
- 54:59it's not a as reductive as as that, So that's just one part as
- 55:04a therapist. It's like a nobody knows somebody's sexual orientation or fluidity except for
- 55:12them. And I don't like personally the rhetoric around it, especially like using
- 55:19the term lesbian in a way. It feels like it's being weaponized, Like
- 55:22it feels like it's somehow like a weaponizing insult, and I just think that's
- 55:29gross because being gay is not an insult. It's not like a zinger.
- 55:35It's it's this is people's lives. So now, does she have a romantic
- 55:39relationship with Morgan? You know, sometimes it appears that she might, but
- 55:45only the two of them know that. But what I can say for sure
- 55:50is that Morgan has clearly been a huge support to Kyle during a time in
- 55:54her life where she desperately needed that. So whatever it is, that's the
- 56:00nature of their relationship. Personally, I couldn't care less. I don't think
- 56:04that's lacious. What I think people are missing is that she found something in
- 56:08this person that is helping her at a time where I'm grateful because we all
- 56:15need help and support m Yeah. Well good point. Well you should run
- 56:20for office Melissa. All right, well why don't we just talk about the
- 56:27white party, because I mean, holy shit, like and it was wild
- 56:31to me that, like the actual party connection was because she did that direct
- 56:37TV commercial, so she don't me, I did not connect any of that.
- 56:42I'm like, you, so you had an event here, now you
- 56:45get to like just get the state. That does make sense because if she
- 56:49was there at the stadium, she probably met a ton of people associated.
- 56:52I mean it's connections, connections and contacts, and they were probably like,
- 56:57oh my gosh, you know, we love the Housewives. Why don't look
- 57:01what And she's like, oh, I should have a party here and they're
- 57:05like what. Yeah, you know, I mean I could see it all
- 57:07unfolding the way that it did, and so but wild that that would have
- 57:14been the connection. I loved it. And holy cow, Like even Denise
- 57:19walking in was like, oh fucking this is fucking shit, is fucking real,
- 57:22Like this is some big shit, like whoa, wow, should have
- 57:25worn all white and so this pink. You know, she was blown away.
- 57:30Everyone was like whoa. I mean, Mauricio, this is a perfect
- 57:34example of him not being on the same page as Kyle and not listening.
- 57:39Thought this party was gonna be in the parking lot. Yep, yeah,
- 57:45unreal. And it's like, and what Kyle actually said, this is just
- 57:51another example of him not listening. And my god, is it a good
- 57:53one. Do you know your wife? Do you think Kyle m effing Richards
- 58:00would have a white party in a parking lot? Bro come on right,
- 58:05So a poor listener and b it's it shows the emotional disconnect from from Kyle.
- 58:12I just put something together, Melissa when you said that. I'm wondering
- 58:15if Kyle found out like Mauricio, why it's a gray areas. Maybe he
- 58:22was having an emotional affair with someone he was working with, like or something
- 58:24like that, where he was she read text or emails where he was so
- 58:29invested in somebody else, and like he doesn't even know the white parties in
- 58:34a parking lot or at so far, you know what I mean, Like,
- 58:36he can't even That's just a theory of mine, because I could see
- 58:40that really cutting like a knife. Yeah, Emily, genius, Because as
- 58:45soon as you said that, I'm like, okay, that that would make
- 58:49sense to me, don't I don't necessarily see a physical infidelity, but that
- 58:54is absolutely yeah, that tracks psychologically, and I did not think of that.
- 59:00So really, I think he's capable of doing that. I mean in
- 59:07that department. I mean, in the beginning of a relationship. People are
- 59:09capable of lifting a car. So if he was having an emotional affair,
- 59:15he could absolutely tune in and be like, I'm going to take care of
- 59:19this problem for you. I'm going to be there for you. I'm going
- 59:21to be yeah, let's just go and deal, you know, Like I
- 59:23can see him totally stepping in in that way, and especially if it was
- 59:28like a work relationship where they are super understanding the agency right now and what
- 59:32he's going through, and yeah, I'm put my money on that. Yeah,
- 59:37it makes sense. I mean, it's all about the agency. And
- 59:42not only does it make sense, but now I'm flashing back to how angry
- 59:46she would get when he wasn't listening or wasn't emotionally attending to her, and
- 59:52it's like, well, he can do this for other things, he can
- 59:55do this for right, She's said that before, So that definitely that makes
- 1:00:01so much sense. But here's the thing, even if it wasn't an emotional
- 1:00:06affair. I believe the agency itself. I think she feels that has taken
- 1:00:13her place, like he's putting so much into the baby of his business that
- 1:00:17she's like, well, what about me? And what I can tell you
- 1:00:22when you've been in a multiple decades long relationship is that you know, when
- 1:00:25you're together for twenty plus years, the you know, it's a different love.
- 1:00:31It's a more mature love. You know that gotta have you spark like,
- 1:00:37yeah, for sure, that's that's that's just different. And there are
- 1:00:40some folks that can't tolerate that mature love. There's some folks that need that,
- 1:00:47you know, addictive, got to have it hurt, pumping, you
- 1:00:52know, excitement of yeah. Yeah. Some people don't want mature love.
- 1:00:58Some people want adrenaline and drama and whatever. So I think between everything we're
- 1:01:04talking about, we're creating a theory and a timeline that makes sense about what
- 1:01:10may be going on. So good job, ladies, Hey we did it.
- 1:01:15Now we will have to wrap in a minute, but I want to
- 1:01:20just briefly discuss who broke the story. I mean, who's the one who
- 1:01:25gave the story to People magazine, Because that's the biggest question, Rob,
- 1:01:31Rob, shut up. That was hilarious. I know, I loved it.
- 1:01:35I loved it. Who do you say it was Morgan? Oh yeah,
- 1:01:38I got that. We said it was Morgan, which is not wrong
- 1:01:42in terms of like salacious gossip being leaked and where are the sources? But
- 1:01:46like, I don't think Morgan is looking for any of this. I mean,
- 1:01:52she's looking for career, but not this. I don't even think you
- 1:01:58know, I definitely think Morgan their secondary gains to all this, But she
- 1:02:02if she truly knows that Kyle trusts her and she values that, there's no
- 1:02:07way that she would do that to Kyle, not intentionally. But what if
- 1:02:10it was unintentionally where well, I don't know, watch What Happens Live.
- 1:02:17How Kyle made it sound was that they and Emily I don't know if you
- 1:02:23heard her talk about this, but they did. Like a poll I watch
- 1:02:27What Happens Live about like who leaked it? Thirty percent of people said it
- 1:02:30was Kyle. Basically no one said it was Mauricio, which that is so
- 1:02:36typical of people right now. It's like, oh yeah, I love to
- 1:02:39blame a woman, but let Mauricio just get off. Scott free. Don't
- 1:02:43even get me started on that BS. And then there were like people who
- 1:02:45said it with someone else. So Kyle claims that Mauricio had some ideas of
- 1:02:51like friends of friends who like it sounded like it was a game of telephone
- 1:02:57that the information trickled to one part person who did something that they shouldn't have
- 1:03:02with it, and Mauricio had some sort of idea, but they still didn't
- 1:03:07know. That was what Kyle said. And watch What Happens Live, you
- 1:03:10know, I didn't see that, but I tuned in late, so that,
- 1:03:15yeah, I didn't see that. But that's so interesting because, like,
- 1:03:20I mean, it had to have been somebody very close, because people
- 1:03:22doesn't just run stories like that. They're not necessarily you know, they're That's
- 1:03:29why it was such a big deal because people did that story. So I
- 1:03:32think that they had already talked to their publicists because people also wouldn't take a
- 1:03:37story for Morgan, they would only take it from a publicist. I think
- 1:03:42they're really really good on that, and yeah, they're really sanitized in terms
- 1:03:46of what the messaging will be. And I don't know if you remember,
- 1:03:51but it read like a press release. I mean it read like a publicist
- 1:03:54wrote it and sent it to them. They're not going to They're not they
- 1:03:59people. Magazine is not there to drop bombs and go signs, and and
- 1:04:05really they have the backs of a lot of the BRA celebrities because they probably
- 1:04:11go to them and say, look, you know, now's the time if
- 1:04:14you want to do this through us, will legitimize what your statement is.
- 1:04:16And you know, they allow them to control it in that way, and
- 1:04:20they give them that platform to do it. So it's very strange, very
- 1:04:26very strange. Well that's why I think maybe that to what Kyle said,
- 1:04:32what you were saying, Melissa, maybe they had crafted a message and it
- 1:04:36was a holiday weekend, so should hit the fan. And maybe there was
- 1:04:42some uh texting back and forth between Mauricio and Kyle. They were all together,
- 1:04:47but maybe there was some vague texting back and forth to the publicists and
- 1:04:53they just went with it in a panic. Like maybe Mauricio was like,
- 1:04:56yeah, I hear what you're saying, and they were like, okay,
- 1:04:58go to print, you know kind of thing, instead of like oh wait
- 1:05:01he meant yeah, I hear what you're saying, but hang on a second
- 1:05:04or something, you know, like I can see that going and I could
- 1:05:06see it coming from Mauricio in that way. But he's the one that's very
- 1:05:12like she says, he was focused so much on who gave that story instead
- 1:05:18of her and the girls. Yeah, so anyway, he doesn't pay attention
- 1:05:25to shit. So I'm sure he was like yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:05:28and then they're like okay, that's a go printed And he doesn't know him
- 1:05:30the whole time, And I think this topic is a microcosm of why their
- 1:05:38marriage has disintegrated. Mauricio, his communication isn't clear. He's all over the
- 1:05:43place, he's not paying attention, he's not listening, he's just you know,
- 1:05:47floating around, just doing whatever he's doing. And so I we're missing
- 1:05:53a piece of this puzzle for sure, because for me, whenever something like
- 1:05:56this happens and it's so confusing and you're like, I don't get it.
- 1:05:59There's something that we're missing. But Emily, what you just said to me
- 1:06:02makes the most sense. Was Marisi was talking to a publicist and then was
- 1:06:09not present and paying attention, and then you know said, you know,
- 1:06:12like, do you want to run this story about you guys separating? Meanwhile,
- 1:06:16his assistants like so do you want homus on the side or runs.
- 1:06:20He's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, uh huh both yeah,
- 1:06:23yeah, uh huh yeah and then yeah because like they were in Aspen
- 1:06:29at the time, this shit hit the fan, and as Kyle said,
- 1:06:31they you know, I bet that thing was all ready to go, but
- 1:06:35they weren't. They were expecting to control the message, and then that face
- 1:06:39reality story hit and then they all panicked, and Maurice was like, I
- 1:06:43got it. We'll figure this out. I got it. What do we
- 1:06:45do? Because I have been on the side of like a press release where
- 1:06:50there's a couple talking heads, everybody's texting. It's confusing. And it went
- 1:06:55out and I've been on that side of it and it wasn't devastating or anything,
- 1:06:59but there was wrong information in it, and I was like, wait,
- 1:07:01that's not what That's not the one we wanted to send what you know,
- 1:07:05you know what I mean? Like, so, I have definitely been
- 1:07:09there, and that's what I was thinking with him. I was like,
- 1:07:13I bet you he just half asked his response on a holiday weekend and somebody
- 1:07:19sent the wrong like somebody sent the thing. They were they were going to
- 1:07:24change the wording and then here we are and he's like, who the hell
- 1:07:28sent that? And the agents the public uh, the PR agency, not
- 1:07:31the agency, the agency AI. It's actually yeah, it's like and you
- 1:07:40know what, because it was a holiday weekend, it was probably like the
- 1:07:43assistants assistant assistant and they were like, yeah, lord, I love the
- 1:07:49part when it's like one month later and then you know, gars they have
- 1:07:55the It's like the cameramen have just been sticking around Garcels just in case,
- 1:08:01and she's like, oh, oh my god, you know read the article,
- 1:08:08Soddy, I love it, Like all of that, all the camera
- 1:08:12crews were just waiting for just in case. Just that was I have to
- 1:08:17just say that was one of the moments of inauthenticity that I was like,
- 1:08:21why am I watching this show? I was like, really, cameras are
- 1:08:26just going to Read's backyard capturing her with her puppies. Oh Columba, but
- 1:08:30whatever, Like you're not just there, bro, come on, can we
- 1:08:33be real about it. It's that that does that a lot, and we
- 1:08:39can not do that when there's a big reveal. We don't have to see
- 1:08:44yeah, yeah we're not we know, friends aren't bringing I'm sorry, we
- 1:08:46know friends. Aren't we know Kyle's not bringing on Anna Marie. We know
- 1:08:50it's casting. Can we just start being real about this people and just being
- 1:08:57like, hey, she was casted, okay, and no new girl.
- 1:09:01So PK was in London for thirty nine days. I mean that's not weird
- 1:09:08to me, honestly. Okay, Well, I mean because of working the
- 1:09:13way we work, we have gigs that take us away for months at a
- 1:09:16time. I was actually surprised that Durite was so pissed about it when he's
- 1:09:21the one that is, you know, he's he has business and all that.
- 1:09:27I know she does too, don't get me wrong, but I'm just
- 1:09:29like, that's not that weird to me. Yeah, all right, here's
- 1:09:33the thing, Emily, here's the thing. Has p K ever missed a
- 1:09:38finale rap party? I don't know, but I would say, yeah,
- 1:09:42I would agree, probably not right, So like, yeah, you're you're
- 1:09:46right, right, he's working and you know, supporting Deit's you know,
- 1:09:50seventy five million dollar pajamas that she had to wear on the flight to their
- 1:09:56right, So somebody's got to pay for that. But I feel what I
- 1:10:00feel was what's happening with Mauricio and Kyle. I feel we're seeing a parallel
- 1:10:06process truly with PK and Derree, except they're handling things differently, and they
- 1:10:14aren't getting the spotlight because the spotlight is on Kyle and Mauricio. If it
- 1:10:17were for Kylin Mauricio, I guarantee more of the spotlight would be on them.
- 1:10:21And as a therapist who's who's worked with couples like this, what I
- 1:10:26can tell you is there is a disconnect happening. Dererie is feeling emotionally abandoned.
- 1:10:30She's feeling not heard and listened to. PK is like had it with
- 1:10:35her. I think he's frustrated and listen, dealing with someone who is you
- 1:10:40know, well she she really does. I mean not to break it down
- 1:10:47to that, but I you're absolutely right. I mean, and he hasn't
- 1:10:51been and with his PTSD situation, it's terrible, and you know, I
- 1:10:56mean, that's that's intense. So all right, well we do have to
- 1:11:00wrap up. Unfortunately, I just tell you my favorite line of the episode.
- 1:11:04Oh yes, yes, yes, Kyle was on stage and she's like,
- 1:11:09Hikmille, I hadn't said hi to yet, sentence like I said hi,
- 1:11:15do you remember that Son said that bag? Yeah, yeah, like
- 1:11:19I thought it was I thought it was talking to her. Oh my god,
- 1:11:23I thought it was Camille that said that. That's so funny. I
- 1:11:27thought it was I'm pretty sure it was Sons, Like I said, Hi,
- 1:11:31so it's not all about you. Also, look out behind you.
- 1:11:34She blames Ali that she fell into the stage. You pushed me like this,
- 1:11:42lady, Well, can I say I'm sorry? What? Oh?
- 1:11:46Go ahead about the white party itself, because I think this was like,
- 1:11:50really, I want to know if you ladies feel the same way. Kyle
- 1:11:54mentioned something about it, how her white parties used to be sentimental, and
- 1:12:00what we watched last night is the opposite of that, which I think is
- 1:12:04incredibly reflective of what is happening with Kyle personally and with Kyle in her life.
- 1:12:12This was a kind of part of my language, but like a grotesquely
- 1:12:17inauthentic, huge weird white party in the stadium that deviated so sharply from the
- 1:12:26whole white parties of past, and the giant Kyle on the floor, it
- 1:12:31just was all very representative of what I feel like, this disconnect and this
- 1:12:39inauthenticity that we're seeing on the show. Ooh, I like that. It
- 1:12:45is. It's kind of like a movie where it's like, you know,
- 1:12:47the humble person becomes a star and the next thing you know, it's like,
- 1:12:51yeah, they've got portraits of themselves on the wall and the big party
- 1:12:57like that. Yeah, it's it's very interesting to see where they where they
- 1:13:00were and now where they are walking down the the field, separated but together
- 1:13:06and just all done up and and the shes. Yeah, that was actually
- 1:13:13very funny. And Mauricio is eating, he's eating, he's at the buffet
- 1:13:17while his wife and children are I mean, it was it was truly a
- 1:13:23therapist dream watching it. And this is why I'm going to talk about it,
- 1:13:28you know, and do a deeper dive because every everything Mauricio did was
- 1:13:31like such an example of what is happening in their lives that it's just it
- 1:13:38blew it blew my mind. Amazing you guys, this has been so much
- 1:13:43fun. And and thanks to Denise Richards for showing up and calling out Erica.
