- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:01Speaker 2: You know what's the biggest insult ever is when you're
- 0:04Speaker 2: getting takeout. You're fully you're comfortable with them knowing it's
- 0:08Speaker 2: on your own, but they give you two forks without
- 0:11Speaker 2: asking because they think it's for two people. Yeah, they're
- 0:14Speaker 2: like you fat fun. Oh my god, this is for
- 0:19Speaker 2: tomorrow's lunch as well.
- 0:20Speaker 1: All right, my g y g order, it's always two forks.
- 0:23Speaker 2: It's actually wow. The Relatables podcast is hosted by myself,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Jake Craig aka not Tablin, and my clearly dishonorable co
- 0:45Speaker 2: host in crime.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Sexy aka Mummy Clark. Look at my forearms? Have you
- 0:54Speaker 1: been danning doing? What do you mean?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Have you actually been a forum workout? I do look good.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I look good. I was just miner because the progress
- 1:09Speaker 2: isn't showing.
- 1:09Speaker 1: That's all I'm saying. You were You were look at
- 1:12Speaker 1: me up and down like I know I read it
- 1:17Speaker 1: like that, So do you read it like freyer? Just
- 1:18Speaker 1: like kind of comes down in your head like that. Damn,
- 1:22Speaker 1: we won't book clubs.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Book clubs a little bit late. We're teasing you, but
- 1:29Speaker 2: I don't know anybody on YouTube. And if you watch
- 1:32Speaker 2: it on Spotify.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I got a new I got a new jumper.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Guys, where did you get that?
- 1:38Speaker 1: That's sick?
- 1:40Speaker 2: If you're part of the Facebook group the latter as
- 1:44Speaker 2: bad as you Unite plug maybe it's linked in the description.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Definitely linked in Facebook or I mean in Instagram. Ah,
- 1:52Speaker 2: you know that. I was at Gracey Abrams on the
- 1:53Speaker 2: weekend and I had a bow in my hair because
- 1:56Speaker 2: you're supposed to wear a bow.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Apparently everyone wears a bow.
- 1:58Speaker 2: You know what.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It was a bunch. You know what that reminded me
- 2:00Speaker 1: of when you did it. You know how like when
- 2:02Speaker 1: your dog comes back from the croumer and yeah, they
- 2:06Speaker 1: always do they put a bow in your hair. And
- 2:07Speaker 1: I saw you. I was like, they reminded me of.
- 2:09Speaker 2: That, and they do.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I had a bow in my hair and I went
- 2:12Speaker 1: and bought this merch.
- 2:13Speaker 2: This is actually actually quite like.
- 2:14Speaker 1: It was one hundred and ten dollars simple, very simple.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but it stays on the front, felt good about you,
- 2:20Speaker 2: and then on the back it says till I didn't.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I saw some videos and look good. Wait you were
- 2:24Speaker 1: stand away out.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we got general admission standing and so Kudos. Bank
- 2:29Speaker 2: Arena is actually it's big, feeling small but crazy good
- 2:35Speaker 2: for a concert?
- 2:36Speaker 1: Is that where we saw the basketball?
- 2:38Speaker 2: Yeah, so we are a couple, cool couple things.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We got there.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't normally want to get there to see a
- 2:47Speaker 2: opening act, but and I love Gracie. My Spotify wrapped
- 2:52Speaker 2: last year proved that. But Beth loves her more. Yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and so does her best friend Casey, who we went with,
- 2:58Speaker 2: and my sister Jun was also there, and so they
- 3:02Speaker 2: wanted to get there and watch the full first act
- 3:06Speaker 2: and just so we could get a pretty decent spot
- 3:08Speaker 2: to try and be close to Gracie.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Who was it? And it was Ash.
- 3:12Speaker 2: You may have heard one of her songs. She has
- 3:13Speaker 2: a couple of really big ones. She sang a fair
- 3:15Speaker 2: few that I didn't know. She did a cover of
- 3:17Speaker 2: a cool song and then that she I do know
- 3:19Speaker 2: two of her songs. But she was actually for a
- 3:23Speaker 2: no hate to Coldplay and no hate to the opening
- 3:27Speaker 2: act Coldplay had. But the choice of Ash being Gracie's
- 3:33Speaker 2: opener was crazy good, way more fitting. It was just so.
- 3:36Speaker 1: The thing Coldplayer do is they try and support like
- 3:38Speaker 1: local artists.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Which is which is good, which is good, but they
- 3:42Speaker 2: just no one knows who they are. And also and
- 3:46Speaker 2: also where Coleplay was playing, though it was like a
- 3:48Speaker 2: seventy thousand capacity and Kudos Bank and the hype around
- 3:51Speaker 2: Gracie meant that the opening act basically had every single
- 3:54Speaker 2: person there. So it felt really good.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's like a dome. It feels better, yeah.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Yah, yeah, and it's got a ceiling over so yeah,
- 4:00Speaker 2: and it's just way better for sound.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:02Speaker 2: But so we went and she was really really good. Initially,
- 4:06Speaker 2: as soon she came out, I was like, I don't
- 4:07Speaker 2: know about this, but she was a great singer. But
- 4:11Speaker 2: she just ended up having like the sickest crowd control
- 4:14Speaker 2: I've ever seen, really, and she like mid song, would
- 4:18Speaker 2: like talk to someone in the front road, talk to people,
- 4:21Speaker 2: be like I see you back there, like lights.
- 4:22Speaker 1: One or whatever, and everyone's like whoa.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And she even halfway through goes, so, I have two
- 4:28Speaker 2: jobs tonight. One of them is to warm everyone up
- 4:31Speaker 2: for the lovely and beautiful grazy Aprons, right, and everyone
- 4:34Speaker 2: cheers whoo. And then the second one. And you can
- 4:37Speaker 2: tell she times it perfectly because no one really knows
- 4:39Speaker 2: the first few songs.
- 4:40Speaker 1: She must have had.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Half an hour, an hour or whatever on stage, and
- 4:43Speaker 2: then she goes, and my second job is for you
- 4:45Speaker 2: to also get you to fall in love with me tonight,
- 4:48Speaker 2: and she admits, going, I know not every one of
- 4:50Speaker 2: you knows who I am. Yeah, and then the second
- 4:52Speaker 2: half of her like short opening set, she sings just
- 4:56Speaker 2: these bangers, and by the end of it, I was like,
- 4:59Speaker 2: she could the whole concert, and I'd be thrilled.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Did a good job.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Fuck she did.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And I've never seen an opener. I gotta say an
- 5:05Speaker 1: opener is one of the hardest gigs.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah, even Noah Carn's open up. He was good, but
- 5:10Speaker 2: didn't get me like that.
- 5:11Speaker 1: The best odd scene is when I saw Illumineer's Hollow Coves. Okay,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you know a few of their songs played before it,
- 5:17Speaker 1: and I was like, oh shit, that's talent.
- 5:18Speaker 3: Wyeah.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Okay, see this is what I thought about.
- 5:20Speaker 1: She'd sing as well. She looks like Margot Robbie. Really
- 5:23Speaker 1: probably helped.
- 5:25Speaker 2: He looks like Margot Robbie. She could sing, and so
- 5:28Speaker 2: then she, oh, I want to talk about one thing
- 5:32Speaker 2: flex Okay. So we get there early to go to
- 5:36Speaker 2: the opener. We bought merch outside there was a little
- 5:39Speaker 2: like food stand, got some to it, and then we
- 5:40Speaker 2: waited in line for like a good forty five minutes.
- 5:43Speaker 2: It opens up. We get in and upstairs I see
- 5:49Speaker 2: a very quiet lounge and it's advertised as the Amex Lounge.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Just literally, I'm not even kidding. The day prior, how
- 6:00Speaker 2: do you not even go through this process of so
- 6:03Speaker 2: we're both getting an Amex, but I just we just
- 6:07Speaker 2: were like, let's do it one at a time, and
- 6:09Speaker 2: I just happened to do mine first.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Right, We'll do it one at a time so we
- 6:12Speaker 1: get more points, yeah, exactly, So it's for both of us,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but the first one's just in my name, and we
- 6:18Speaker 1: both use it, and then when Oddie gets his, he'll
- 6:19Speaker 1: just have his own. It won't matter.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And then literally the day before the concert it arrived.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I set it up, hadn't spend a dollar on it, right,
- 6:28Speaker 2: And so we get there and I go up and
- 6:30Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, I mean I just opened the up
- 6:33Speaker 2: and they were just like I was thinking they were
- 6:35Speaker 2: going to say, oh, you know, you would needed to
- 6:36Speaker 2: sign up, but you can't do it. And I go
- 6:38Speaker 2: up and I've got three guests and I'm like, oh,
- 6:40Speaker 2: I just I looked this up and I can.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I come in and they're like, yeah, yeah, no problem.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Went in.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It's just quiet. It had a bar, it had It's
- 6:49Speaker 1: like it was like you got weighted on.
- 6:50Speaker 2: You sat down, ordered food. It was cheaper than the
- 6:53Speaker 2: food down with all the peasants, and I was like,
- 7:00Speaker 2: it's fucking fake until we make it. It was great,
- 7:02Speaker 2: that's mad and it was so I didn't have to
- 7:03Speaker 2: wait any lie.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it. We were getting perks out of it.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and I was just like, this is what a
- 7:08Speaker 2: fucking choice. This was what a choice this was.
- 7:10Speaker 1: We also have a gold medal card, so fucking cool.
- 7:15Speaker 2: We went up to you started to pay for food obviously,
- 7:18Speaker 2: and so when we went up because I, out of
- 7:21Speaker 2: the group of four of us, I was the only
- 7:23Speaker 2: one with an amex.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, we went we went up to buy food and
- 7:26Speaker 1: Johanna was like, do you think you have to pay
- 7:28Speaker 1: with an amex? I was like, surely not. And they
- 7:30Speaker 1: did it gladly and so and then we went in
- 7:34Speaker 1: and okay, who is the only thing. We've been to
- 7:38Speaker 1: a couple of things together, but Noah Khan together, Noah Cahn.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I remember being it was fabulous.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That might be my favorite. Yeah, it was all wise.
- 7:47Speaker 1: He wasn't the most talent I've ever seen, okay, but
- 7:50Speaker 1: like you've seen living ears, vibe and enjoyment level. Yeah,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I think he's my top okay, and he's like quirky.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I like the quirky now, yeah, he's to be fair,
- 8:01Speaker 1: he's funny.
- 8:02Speaker 2: But I Gracey abrams Bro it was, it was like
- 8:08Speaker 2: another level. And I think what I what I'm putting
- 8:11Speaker 2: it down to is where we saw Noah was the
- 8:15Speaker 2: Horden Pavilion capacity of six thousand, and where we saw
- 8:18Speaker 2: Gracie was Kidos Bank with a capacity for a concert
- 8:21Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure like twenty five to thirty thousand. And
- 8:24Speaker 2: still felt Ah, what's the worst of niche? Yeah, yeah,
- 8:29Speaker 2: still felt intimate. Yeah, we were still close to Gracie,
- 8:33Speaker 2: which was sick and I think because of the hype
- 8:39Speaker 2: everyone around it just made it so good. And she
- 8:42Speaker 2: just was she was honestly, so she's better in person
- 8:45Speaker 2: than on the phone. Really, they usually they're a better
- 8:48Speaker 2: singer through the phone, but she was a better singer
- 8:53Speaker 2: in person. And now listening to her on Spotify in
- 8:55Speaker 2: the car and I'm like, that's not fucking Gracey sounds
- 8:58Speaker 2: worse in the car. She was such a good singer
- 9:01Speaker 2: in person. I don't know if they had something in
- 9:02Speaker 2: the mic. I don't know if they were doing some
- 9:04Speaker 2: sort of amplification, but she was so fucking good.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it. I'll tell you why. It would
- 9:09Speaker 1: have been even better. One thing that deters me from
- 9:12Speaker 1: festivals is the crowd, and like you get lads stereotypically
- 9:17Speaker 1: their male dudes, and they don't know spatial awareness. But
- 9:20Speaker 1: because I assume most of Gracie's audience was females, yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: it would have been a really nice crowd. It was awesome, respectful,
- 9:27Speaker 1: everyone's there to have a good time. It you would
- 9:30Speaker 1: It was honestly so good.
- 9:32Speaker 2: There was no pushing. It was really tight, but you
- 9:35Speaker 2: still see you had space because everyone was being respectful,
- 9:37Speaker 2: everyone was cheering. They had stage, and then through the
- 9:42Speaker 2: middle was they had barricaded off because she had like
- 9:44Speaker 2: a different little stage come up through the middle of
- 9:46Speaker 2: the set, and then their security guards could walk through
- 9:49Speaker 2: there and they were passing water and then people were
- 9:52Speaker 2: passing it back, and one of my en Joanna goes, Wow,
- 9:55Speaker 2: the good thing about Gracie is I trust that water.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Even though it's gone through hands. It's gone through so
- 9:59Speaker 2: many hands where you go see some like wrapper, Yeah,
- 10:04Speaker 2: like you wouldn't trust that water has aura though, Bro,
- 10:08Speaker 2: she she for a NEPO baby.
- 10:11Speaker 1: She's got fucking talent.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Her dad order.
- 10:14Speaker 1: She twenty five.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, she's pretty five fro.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Should we say we got our foot in the door
- 10:20Speaker 1: to like.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Not really, we kind of did, like we were in
- 10:24Speaker 2: talks with her team to maybe do a fifteen minute
- 10:27Speaker 2: interview and then it was they just just like nah,
- 10:31Speaker 2: like we sent a concept and I reckon they probably
- 10:32Speaker 2: didn't even read it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But so she's a new baby.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Her dad is a movie director, really, and he directed
- 10:38Speaker 2: Star Wars JJ abrams. You just watched All Star Wars.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Like even more, how did you know that?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Did she go? Do you guys know my dad? No,
- 10:48Speaker 2: she's not gonna but her dad directed the ship ones.
- 10:56Speaker 1: They are.
- 11:00Speaker 2: For Devo but for a new baby. The whole first
- 11:04Speaker 2: song she sang behind a screen, and I don't know,
- 11:08Speaker 2: I was initially thinking when's she gonna come out? But
- 11:11Speaker 2: it just created so much tension that when she came
- 11:13Speaker 2: out and I was like, you're a genius.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Bitch, Well I'm a bit jealousy sounded good. It was,
- 11:18Speaker 1: it was so good. I love great. Yeah, it was
- 11:20Speaker 1: honestly well, Unfortunately I didn't do something as exciting as that.
- 11:26Speaker 1: But I've got something to talk about, Jakey, and it's
- 11:29Speaker 1: going to sound dumb, okay, but it's a realistic problem.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Okay, Okay.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So I'm twenty four, you're twenty five.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Yeh yeah, yeah, yeah, you're nearly twenty five.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Come on. That's where I'm getting with this. My birthday
- 11:41Speaker 1: is coming up, and my problem is I don't know
- 11:46Speaker 1: who to invite to my birthday party. Oh shit, like really,
- 11:49Speaker 1: to me, we don't know that many people. No, Like no,
- 11:51Speaker 1: that's the opposite of what I'm thinking. I don't hang out,
- 11:54Speaker 1: like they're still my friends. We don't hang out. No,
- 11:57Speaker 1: I know, I haven't hanged out with my friends, like
- 11:59Speaker 1: actually hung out and had fun. I reckon in over
- 12:02Speaker 1: a year and a half, no, correct, two years, and
- 12:04Speaker 1: I'm like, if I want to do something, do I
- 12:07Speaker 1: still do that. I'm in like a phase of my
- 12:09Speaker 1: life where I don't know who to invite them, Like
- 12:12Speaker 1: we're obviously still friends, but I'm just like lost, and like,
- 12:15Speaker 1: this is the first time I've had this conundrum. Yeah, okay, interesting,
- 12:19Speaker 1: like you, you just wouldn't see anyone. But I normally
- 12:24Speaker 1: do something on my birthday. Like last year I went
- 12:26Speaker 1: to Bali. JJ came. Year before that. I think I
- 12:28Speaker 1: had a big dinner. The year before that, I went
- 12:30Speaker 1: out in Sydney. Okay, okay, Like I always normally do something.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I like to celebrate my birthday with my friends. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: they're still my friends and I still appreciate their relationships. Yep,
- 12:38Speaker 1: but I don't hang out of them.
- 12:40Speaker 2: No, No, you're you're very correct. Yeah, I've just been
- 12:43Speaker 2: more accepting it lately that it's just a thing that
- 12:48Speaker 2: I don't know, we don't do.
- 12:50Speaker 1: But you can't go wrong with a dinner.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and just inviting what invite them all, JJ will
- 12:59Speaker 2: go Jai War.
- 13:01Speaker 1: We've still got I still hang out like three of them, Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 1: but I just don't see them. Maybe invite them.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and just don't book a place that's like you
- 13:10Speaker 2: know how some places will charge that they will charge
- 13:13Speaker 2: not everyone comes. Maybe just don't I mean, I mean
- 13:17Speaker 2: to be fair and just put it on the AMAX anyway.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Use it as a business. Sad though, isn't it? It
- 13:21Speaker 1: is growing up so many friends.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Well here's here's a thing that is annoying.
- 13:29Speaker 2: So I know someone, and I'm just gonna keep this
- 13:33Speaker 2: super vague just because I don't want any spec to
- 13:35Speaker 2: be any like no one, no one knows them, but
- 13:37Speaker 2: just to be nice, I'm just going to keep it
- 13:38Speaker 2: super vague.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I know someone that.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Each year invites like twenty people to their birthday dinner
- 13:45Speaker 2: and people don't show up. And it's like, I wouldn't
- 13:52Speaker 2: want to set myself off a failure or disappointment on
- 13:54Speaker 2: my birthday.
- 13:55Speaker 1: You know, it's my birth I would hate the.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Imagine the feeling of like give his stories of a
- 14:02Speaker 2: kid throwing a birthday party and they when you're younger,
- 14:05Speaker 2: you put invitations in their mailbox or you give them
- 14:07Speaker 2: to them at school or whatever.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Maybe I should send invitations out do you know everyone's address?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Little text message? I can whip something up on Adobe
- 14:16Speaker 1: easy Yeah, and then be like RSVPB bitch. I mean,
- 14:20Speaker 1: why not, I'm going to the effort instead of just
- 14:22Speaker 1: saying in our group chat, I do think.
- 14:23Speaker 2: I do think that our mates will all come, though
- 14:27Speaker 2: I don't think they'll think, oh, and I'm not going
- 14:29Speaker 2: to go to that. I think just because we don't
- 14:30Speaker 2: see it often, they will come. Yeah, I think they'll
- 14:32Speaker 2: still be.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I was thinking about it's like, wow, this is like
- 14:35Speaker 1: also a part of frontal lobe development, where like everyone's
- 14:39Speaker 1: nothing bad has happened, and everyone's doing their own thing,
- 14:42Speaker 1: but we're starting to break apart.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Maybe for your birthday we should do a something like
- 14:49Speaker 2: a baddies thing where we have like maybe twenty of
- 14:56Speaker 2: the baddies and we do a paint and sip or
- 14:58Speaker 2: some shit, a pat and sip like a Picasso what's
- 15:00Speaker 2: it called. It's not because like you know, Picasa, we're
- 15:03Speaker 2: not going to drink them.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I would want to do that because it's like my
- 15:05Speaker 1: birthday and also like they're coming to meet and greet us.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It's like double on tundra on me. Is that the
- 15:09Speaker 1: right word? Double on ton truck?
- 15:10Speaker 2: May No, it's it's I'll be like, funk.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I don't want to be the center of attention that bad?
- 15:14Speaker 2: Why not? Why not? Okay, here's why it's actually double
- 15:20Speaker 2: on tong or whatever.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Turn my light on.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Double on tonge is worth it is that you don't
- 15:28Speaker 2: want to be the center of attention any day, even
- 15:32Speaker 2: on your birthday. It's going to on your birthday. It
- 15:34Speaker 2: makes slightly more sense to be a center of attention,
- 15:36Speaker 2: so you may as well do it on your birthday.
- 15:37Speaker 1: It's going to sound very hypocritical and how that we
- 15:39Speaker 1: have a podcast that we don't want to be the
- 15:41Speaker 1: center of attention.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing about that. He's here's what I
- 15:45Speaker 2: actually think about that, Right, I actually do think that
- 15:50Speaker 2: we like attention, but I don't.
- 15:54Speaker 1: We don't like in person attention, which is.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Selfish, is fine, but we we must subconsciously have some
- 16:02Speaker 2: sort of thing in our head where we're like, yeah,
- 16:04Speaker 2: we want people to like us. Maybe I think subconchi
- 16:07Speaker 2: yeah yeah, but like we're not good outside of this room.
- 16:12Speaker 1: No, we're socially awkward. I'm very quiet.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And like we have enough self efficacy to think
- 16:18Speaker 2: that our conversations should be heard, which is crazy true,
- 16:23Speaker 2: which is crazy if you say it like that, Fuck,
- 16:26Speaker 2: it is crazy to every anyone that does it is crazy.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Like even a podcast that has zero listens thinks that
- 16:32Speaker 2: their conversations deserve to be hot.
- 16:37Speaker 1: So we've landed on Baddie's painting night double would maybe
- 16:42Speaker 1: we should even maybe we should just do that and
- 16:46Speaker 1: i'd feel bad. But how do we pick twenty people? Yeah?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Maybe we should just do that. How do you pick
- 16:49Speaker 1: twenty people? That's a great question.
- 16:52Speaker 2: That's very hard.
- 16:53Speaker 1: That's very hard.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean you could do it more than once.
- 16:55Speaker 1: True, true, true, But drawing born, I got to figure
- 16:58Speaker 1: out a plan for my birthday and then give me
- 17:00Speaker 1: another plan. Okay, maybe what do you.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Guys think odishu for his birthday comment?
- 17:03Speaker 1: That's a good idea. I can it involve alcohol?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah? I might get drunk.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't drunk this year yet other than on
- 17:10Speaker 1: Newyear's Day, which is still New Year's so yeah, but
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm a hit rate of to last year drunk twice
- 17:15Speaker 1: okay and one so far this year.
- 17:17Speaker 2: First out of the year. Are you are you counting
- 17:19Speaker 2: like two am the first of January into the second.
- 17:26Speaker 1: That is this year?
- 17:29Speaker 2: I thought six am first of January onwards is too
- 17:31Speaker 2: far into this year for it not to be.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I thought you said, you can't how many times you
- 17:34Speaker 1: drink this? You know, it's like it's been twice, it's
- 17:37Speaker 1: been once or twice.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It was like it's not that hard. Okay, No, cool,
- 17:40Speaker 2: good lama.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Al right, up next is I g question of the week, Jake.
- 17:52Speaker 1: But before we get into that, we are gonna start
- 17:55Speaker 1: trying something new. Me and Jake. Before we record, we
- 17:59Speaker 1: have a little boy in front of us and it
- 18:00Speaker 1: says keywords we should say, and also it says plug Patreon. Yes,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and usually we have a little script we spit off
- 18:08Speaker 1: the tongue. But what we want to start doing is
- 18:13Speaker 1: throwing one out there and see when it Landskay, and
- 18:16Speaker 1: my throw today is going to be I don't have
- 18:20Speaker 1: anything to throw, So this is going to be my
- 18:22Speaker 1: plug for Patreon. Just that in general. Why you know
- 18:24Speaker 1: what's there on Patreon actually episode every single week, every
- 18:27Speaker 1: single third. But from here on out, you're going to
- 18:29Speaker 1: get us trying to land with a little Patreon.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Plug here where else we like to try new things
- 18:33Speaker 2: Patreon Here go.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Fives cheapest chips. Ah, we got that idea because on
- 18:41Speaker 1: Patreon actually it's where the bad is unite. Yeah, and
- 18:44Speaker 1: we were starting every single episode with a new intro,
- 18:47Speaker 1: and we landed on that one, and we're both like,
- 18:49Speaker 1: oh shit.
- 18:49Speaker 2: That series lasted two episodes.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because I come with heat.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I come with heat. But no, seriously, support the cause
- 18:58Speaker 2: that's it. And Sig much Patreon, But here we go.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I do question of the Week this week is what's
- 19:04Speaker 2: something you're too embarrassed to admit.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You still do?
- 19:08Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 19:09Speaker 1: You got one?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Oh?
- 19:11Speaker 1: What do I do this?
- 19:12Speaker 2: Because a lot of a lot of mine. I actually
- 19:14Speaker 2: not a lot of them, but some of them I
- 19:16Speaker 2: fall under.
- 19:17Speaker 1: There was a lot of pain in the shower, which
- 19:18Speaker 1: I didn't think was embarrassing.
- 19:20Speaker 2: I think it's weird that if someone was in the
- 19:21Speaker 2: shower and needed to pee, that they got out of
- 19:25Speaker 2: the shower to peek.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah. What, Yeah, that's so weird. Isn't that crazy? Like
- 19:29Speaker 1: wet the toilet, sitting that I've had to take a
- 19:31Speaker 1: ship and then like you wear the toilet sing, such
- 19:33Speaker 1: a pain in the shower and you're so okay, there's
- 19:39Speaker 1: nothing worse because you.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Don't want to stop. Yeah, and then because you're dirty.
- 19:43Speaker 2: There's absolutely nothing worse than getting going into the shower
- 19:49Speaker 2: not needing to ship and then halfway through feeling the urge.
- 19:53Speaker 2: And so you're probably thinking, like if you you get
- 19:56Speaker 2: out and you sit on the toilet and you like
- 19:59Speaker 2: slide on it like it's a bowl.
- 20:01Speaker 1: It's that happened to me a lot more, but it
- 20:03Speaker 1: hasn't happened in ages to me. Yeah, I feel like
- 20:06Speaker 1: my body's learnt or something.
- 20:07Speaker 2: It is weird.
- 20:08Speaker 1: That's embarrassing though.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Yeah. I hate it when you get out of the
- 20:11Speaker 2: shower and you fully dry off and you're still naked
- 20:14Speaker 2: and then you need this ship. I'll get back in
- 20:17Speaker 2: the shower after the ship, yeah, because it's like, what
- 20:19Speaker 2: was the point of showering? One?
- 20:21Speaker 1: I would embarrassing wise, I can one will come to me? Yeah, anything,
- 20:24Speaker 1: if we can think of one, I'll quickly because definitely
- 20:27Speaker 1: some of these I do, which I'm not embarrassed to admit.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I'm actually not embarrassed with a lot of stuff, to
- 20:31Speaker 1: be fair. So my favorite thing was we get to
- 20:34Speaker 1: say the little emojis who sent them things?
- 20:37Speaker 2: You can see the little profile picks.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yeah, these things. When I was reading a minute, I
- 20:42Speaker 1: still a profile. I was just laughing at because they're
- 20:45Speaker 1: all girls and you're oh wait, okay if.
- 20:50Speaker 2: You do, Yeah, anyone listening, if you have something you're
- 20:52Speaker 2: embarrassed to admit, just to commented.
- 20:54Speaker 1: At least he's are anonymous. Yeah, just admit it's pretty crazy. Yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 1: am I not that bad? Okay? Do you want to
- 21:02Speaker 1: go first?
- 21:03Speaker 2: No, you go, you go, what's something you're too embarrassed
- 21:05Speaker 2: to admit you still do?
- 21:08Speaker 1: Stalk my ex? That is embarrassing. That's got to be
- 21:13Speaker 1: a classic though. Wait is it to like make sure
- 21:16Speaker 1: they're doing worse than you or to like check him
- 21:18Speaker 1: out and see if he's still hot? Because like, okay,
- 21:20Speaker 1: first one is kind of good. I was just gonna
- 21:22Speaker 1: know what's worse.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Stalking your ex to see if they're doing worse than you,
- 21:27Speaker 2: or stalking your ex because you miss.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Them miss you really yes, because Petty wins.
- 21:35Speaker 2: It's not petty.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It's not petty to stalk your stalk your exts, see
- 21:39Speaker 1: if they're doing worse than you. That's petty.
- 21:41Speaker 2: No, it just means you hung up on them. I
- 21:42Speaker 2: feel like that's petty. Why that's not petty.
- 21:45Speaker 1: It means you're hung up on them. It's like a
- 21:47Speaker 1: little confidence boost. You're like, yeah, I've still got it.
- 21:49Speaker 1: He doesn't.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And what if they are more attractive than you?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Then you cry, just cry.
- 21:55Speaker 2: I will say, there's nothing better than being He's The
- 21:58Speaker 2: best feeling in the world is being ignorant to the
- 22:02Speaker 2: fact that your partner has moved on, right X has
- 22:05Speaker 2: moved on and then being told by someone that they've
- 22:07Speaker 2: moved on, not feeling a thing about it, and then
- 22:10Speaker 2: that person saying they downgraded.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll tell you what Instagram should do if you've
- 22:17Speaker 1: previously been in a relationship with someone, Instagram should have
- 22:19Speaker 1: some algorithm where it knows that you've been communicating for
- 22:23Speaker 1: so long, like sending reels in that and if they
- 22:25Speaker 1: go back on your profile like more than five times,
- 22:27Speaker 1: Instagram should tell you like stalker alert. Yeah, I reckon?
- 22:31Speaker 1: Why not? Yeah?
- 22:32Speaker 2: Why not?
- 22:33Speaker 1: What's something you're too embarrassed to meet? You still do
- 22:37Speaker 1: run to my bed after I turn my bedroom light
- 22:39Speaker 1: off and jump in in just in case something grabs
- 22:41Speaker 1: my ankle. Same, I still do that, and I'm not
- 22:43Speaker 1: embarrassed to admit it.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Why is that the scariestars so scary? When I was younger,
- 22:50Speaker 2: I would remember I would do that, and I would
- 22:53Speaker 2: think to myself, I can't wait till I'm older. And
- 22:57Speaker 2: I'm not scared of the dark. Still am, And when
- 23:00Speaker 2: I'm in my bed under the covers pitch black, not
- 23:03Speaker 2: scared of any safety. Yeah, not scared of a thing.
- 23:06Speaker 2: But if i'm I will turn my light off and
- 23:09Speaker 2: I will hop to my bed.
- 23:10Speaker 1: This is this is relatable. Anyone with a two story
- 23:12Speaker 1: house downstairs, Man, that's the scariest place.
- 23:15Speaker 2: In the world if you have a two story house,
- 23:17Speaker 2: even at the age of twenty five. At the right
- 23:19Speaker 2: page of twenty five, you turn that light off. I
- 23:20Speaker 2: go up the stairs on four fours.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I'm scurrying up those stairs behind me, clipping my heels.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Bro Okay, because my next one was that.
- 23:33Speaker 2: But okay, what's something you're too embarrassed to admit you
- 23:36Speaker 2: still do? Check his snap score that falls stalking.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what's something you're too embarrassed to admit you
- 23:47Speaker 1: still do. This one's taking it to a new level.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Stalk is Spotify to check he still listens to songs
- 23:52Speaker 1: about me?
- 23:54Speaker 2: Right?
- 23:55Speaker 1: Oy?
- 23:56Speaker 2: I know someone Okay again, I'm got to keep this
- 24:00Speaker 2: vague because they may listen to this, but who cares.
- 24:03Speaker 2: They're not They're not going to care that I'm telling this.
- 24:05Speaker 2: But I'm not gonna name names, but they're gonna think
- 24:07Speaker 2: it's funny that I'm telling this. Okay, So I know
- 24:10Speaker 2: someone with an ex who and this X after breaking
- 24:14Speaker 2: up with them led them on.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Quite a bit, right, like played them?
- 24:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was like it was actually quite sad
- 24:19Speaker 2: to witness. And I kept on trying to say, like
- 24:22Speaker 2: they don't want to be with you, please don't believe them,
- 24:25Speaker 2: and like just cut ties, cut every block them everything,
- 24:28Speaker 2: and this X of theirs would communicate in a way
- 24:36Speaker 2: where they had a shared playlist on Spotify, right, and
- 24:42Speaker 2: they would change the songs in the playlist to song
- 24:46Speaker 2: titles that would write a message like I still like
- 24:52Speaker 2: a movie.
- 24:52Speaker 1: I still want you to be okay, like crazy ship,
- 24:55Speaker 1: and they would show us who did this, I'll tell
- 24:58Speaker 1: you after.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Really poor girl A.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I thought so bad.
- 25:04Speaker 2: She's young, but she was the recipient, she was the
- 25:07Speaker 2: one copping there, and I was like, fucking fucking off, Yeah,
- 25:10Speaker 2: what that's the mom? What's that show you on Netflix?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Type stuff? I felt so bad. And then he would
- 25:16Speaker 2: again this same ex would they found out because they
- 25:23Speaker 2: were breaking up and still talking. He knew the area
- 25:27Speaker 2: that that she lived in, right, and because he lived
- 25:31Speaker 2: not far, he would go for a walk near her house.
- 25:36Speaker 1: This is so common age.
- 25:37Speaker 2: This So what she would do, which is probably semi
- 25:40Speaker 2: unhealthy on her end, is she would check his snap
- 25:42Speaker 2: location a lot.
- 25:44Speaker 1: So toxic, all right, And.
- 25:46Speaker 2: So we would always like be but to be fair,
- 25:48Speaker 2: it's kind of like, look, when you're in love and
- 25:50Speaker 2: you still have feelings, she's gonna overcome you. Whatever it is,
- 25:53Speaker 2: what it is. But this motherfucker knew that she was
- 25:56Speaker 2: checking his location and would go for walks near her house,
- 26:00Speaker 2: and so she would then go outside and be like,
- 26:03Speaker 2: the fuck are you're doing here? And they talk for
- 26:05Speaker 2: a bit and she'd be like, do you want to
- 26:07Speaker 2: come inside?
- 26:07Speaker 1: And he'd just bet nah.
- 26:09Speaker 2: She was like trying to be nice to him.
- 26:10Speaker 1: He's like, nah, yeah, what the hell, it's freaking insane.
- 26:12Speaker 1: So he didn't even get He got what he wanted,
- 26:14Speaker 1: but then said he didn't want it, like he just
- 26:16Speaker 1: wanted to like basically know that she was still upset
- 26:18Speaker 1: about him or some shit. Yeah, he's so toxic it's
- 26:22Speaker 1: fucked And I bet you he's too embarrassed to admit
- 26:25Speaker 1: all of that. He wouldn't tell his friends that.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Fuck no, he was a triplet. She should fuck one
- 26:31Speaker 2: of his brothers.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I was about to say, why does that matter?
- 26:38Speaker 2: That's okay, what's something you're too embarrassed to admit? You
- 26:41Speaker 2: still do use a calculator to double check simple equations?
- 26:46Speaker 1: Oh no, that's related that I would do that in
- 26:49Speaker 1: school on a test for like two plus two, I'd
- 26:51Speaker 1: be like, well, what, let's just wait here. When we
- 26:54Speaker 1: invoice brands, I have to jsts ten percent. I gotta
- 26:58Speaker 1: get ten percent of the figures, which is so simple. Yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 1: and I always put it in a calculator.
- 27:04Speaker 2: You know what I don't trust is my I don't
- 27:08Speaker 2: trust my knowledge of how to use a calculator to
- 27:12Speaker 2: get percentages. Like I, if you do twenty thousand timeser
- 27:17Speaker 2: point two, that's twenty percent, it's going to give you
- 27:19Speaker 2: two thousand. I know that, but I just don't trust
- 27:23Speaker 2: it enough. So what I do is I go into
- 27:25Speaker 2: Google and I say, what is twenty percent of twenty thousand?
- 27:27Speaker 1: I remember Google used to not come up with the answer.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I used to pop up of a calculator too, but
- 27:30Speaker 1: now it works. Chatchivit is going to be my next thing.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, chachipt is the answer that everyone's probably. Yeah,
- 27:36Speaker 1: that one's that one's related. That's relatable as fuck. Yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 1: and I'm not embarrassed admit that. Okay, tell me if
- 27:40Speaker 1: this is embarrassing, what's something you're too embarrassed to admit?
- 27:43Speaker 1: You still do write love letters to myself from the
- 27:47Speaker 1: other person's perspective.
- 27:52Speaker 2: That is very embarrassing. What are you talking about? Wait?
- 27:56Speaker 1: What So you pretend you're in a relationship and you
- 27:59Speaker 1: pretend the dude saying like, oh, Emily, I'm so happy
- 28:03Speaker 1: you came into my life. Our first date was amazing.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I can't wait to see you again. Yeah.
- 28:09Speaker 2: That's then you read it back. That's depending on whether
- 28:15Speaker 2: or not. If you're reading it and you feel like loved.
- 28:21Speaker 2: I was going say say, if you're reading it and
- 28:23Speaker 2: you feel love, you need a cycle it. And but
- 28:26Speaker 2: if you're reading it and you feel some sort of
- 28:29Speaker 2: like post nut clarity whatever it is, you're you're kind
- 28:33Speaker 2: of okay.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Imagine you start seeing a girl, right and you know,
- 28:37Speaker 1: when you're like first in her room together, you sort
- 28:38Speaker 1: of like play and like look at each other stuff,
- 28:40Speaker 1: and you see a note and you go like, what's
- 28:42Speaker 1: that and she's like, oh, that's from my like my
- 28:44Speaker 1: ex and it was her who wrote from his perspective,
- 28:47Speaker 1: and it was just her writing about herself. And you
- 28:48Speaker 1: wouldn't even know ignorance is ignorance. She's just they're like,
- 28:53Speaker 1: oh shit, yeah, ignorance is so.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Fucking bliss in that situation, because she's also lucky that
- 28:58Speaker 2: I'm not the type to ever ask an X's name,
- 29:01Speaker 2: neither to ever ever ask what it was like to
- 29:03Speaker 2: be with them, and to ever ask to.
- 29:04Speaker 1: See a photo of them.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So she's fully in the clear if because I'm going
- 29:07Speaker 2: to believe that, and I'm gonna be like, it's a
- 29:09Speaker 2: new enough relationship where yeah, you are going to have
- 29:12Speaker 2: that sickets like hanging out and if you chuck it
- 29:15Speaker 2: out now fair she's going to because she's embarrassed she
- 29:18Speaker 2: wrote it, But no, she's so sweet that that was
- 29:21Speaker 2: happening to me.
- 29:21Speaker 1: That's funny.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. Here's another one that I do,
- 29:26Speaker 2: and it's similar to yours. What's something you're too embarrassed
- 29:29Speaker 2: to admit you still do? Get scared that a monster
- 29:33Speaker 2: will grab my leg if it's out of the blanket
- 29:35Speaker 2: at night.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Oh I've never had that as a kid, because I
- 29:40Speaker 1: run so hot. I always you're telling me or something
- 29:44Speaker 1: telling me you.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Can sleep with a bare knee and a bare foot
- 29:46Speaker 2: out of your blanket.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I do it everything le night.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I think about something grabbing it.
- 29:50Speaker 1: I've never once thought about that. What about if your
- 29:54Speaker 1: foot was hanging off the bed. I've always relied on
- 29:57Speaker 1: like I'm too big, No one's gonna want to take me.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That's what I've relied I've always I never had then
- 30:02Speaker 1: I had the robber thing.
- 30:03Speaker 2: That is fucking like you're just said. I My mindset
- 30:08Speaker 2: is I'm too big. Yeah, no one's gonna want to
- 30:10Speaker 2: take me. Who wants me?
- 30:12Speaker 1: I've got six foot three, craz when you were a kid,
- 30:20Speaker 1: there's smaller, easier targets out there who they can take.
- 30:22Speaker 1: But when you were a kid, yeah, true, true, true,
- 30:24Speaker 1: But I can't. I have terrible memory from my childhood.
- 30:27Speaker 1: Really don't remember anything.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I used to be.
- 30:32Speaker 1: I still am.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Like if I depending on how hot it is, if
- 30:36Speaker 2: I had a blanket on and I have just a legout,
- 30:40Speaker 2: I'm more scared with that than just taking the blanket
- 30:42Speaker 2: fully off, sleeping with nothing on.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yeah, because then, yeah, I see your point.
- 30:47Speaker 2: But could you fall asleep with your foot hanging off
- 30:49Speaker 2: the bed, because if you can, that's crazy.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Not off the bed, not completely off the bed. What's
- 30:53Speaker 1: that show we have to watch in school where and
- 30:56Speaker 1: there's a round the twist? No, no, no, no, it
- 30:58Speaker 1: was like Monsters in the Rust or something we'll watched
- 31:01Speaker 1: it in school.
- 31:02Speaker 2: What is it?
- 31:02Speaker 1: You know what it is? I got so scared after that,
- 31:04Speaker 1: and I thought those monsters would take me. They're massive monsters.
- 31:06Speaker 1: And he gets lost on a boat. I know what
- 31:09Speaker 1: you're talking about.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Stop, everyone is listening. This is scream.
- 31:13Speaker 1: He goes on a boat and it's like a different world.
- 31:15Speaker 1: And then they know.
- 31:16Speaker 2: They depicted it as like a TV show too, But
- 31:19Speaker 2: and they were really they were nice monsters. Yeah, but
- 31:20Speaker 2: they were really scared. They were scary as fun, but
- 31:22Speaker 2: they were nice. That's what I think is gonna take me?
- 31:25Speaker 1: Same. Yeah, and you're out here just having a leg
- 31:27Speaker 1: out from under the covers. No, I remember I had
- 31:28Speaker 1: nightmares wild it's something in the wild.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Into the wild.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what it is. That's not ringing a full bell.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Something into the wild. It's almost there, someone common. It's
- 31:39Speaker 1: definitely something into the wild. And if it's just into
- 31:41Speaker 1: the wild, then we landed. We landed hard. What's something
- 31:44Speaker 1: you're too embarrassed to admit you still do care? This
- 31:48Speaker 1: one is crazy. That's a girl take used tissues from
- 31:51Speaker 1: my bin to blow my nose because I can't be
- 31:54Speaker 1: asked to walk across my room.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's fucking insane.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Bro, What I can make you feel better? If I
- 32:02Speaker 1: like spill something or like there's something, I would never
- 32:05Speaker 1: blow my nose with some rubbish out the bin, But
- 32:06Speaker 1: if there's like a little something in there, I would
- 32:08Speaker 1: wipe it up. Like if I spilt my water ball
- 32:10Speaker 1: or something, I would use some rubbish like that, but
- 32:12Speaker 1: I would never touch my own skin with it.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Wow. Not once have I ever spilt something and thought
- 32:23Speaker 2: or had to blow my nose. Never blow and thought
- 32:25Speaker 2: the closest tissue was in the bin. Like if something
- 32:27Speaker 2: goes into the bin, it's in a different world that's
- 32:30Speaker 2: unattainable to me. Like I can't even I.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Feel like the office bend. The office bin is like
- 32:34Speaker 1: free rome, like sort of it's not that dirty because
- 32:36Speaker 1: it's not an actual bit office. Yeah, like your office
- 32:38Speaker 1: food because I just put paper and occasionally.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah no no no no.
- 32:43Speaker 1: But and your room shouldn't should also not just be
- 32:47Speaker 1: like you shouldn't put food scraps in your fucking room.
- 32:49Speaker 2: But that's crazy.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Who knows where this girl? To be fair?
- 32:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, what's something you're too embarrassed to admit
- 32:56Speaker 2: you still do? Singing the ABC's whenever I need to
- 33:00Speaker 2: do something involving alphabetical order.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Oh, what do you have to do?
- 33:04Speaker 2: I still go like I could never know the months
- 33:07Speaker 2: I have to go like very much, which is also
- 33:10Speaker 2: kind of crazy that we have to do that. But
- 33:12Speaker 2: the ABC's if something's in alphabetical order, So like, right now,
- 33:15Speaker 2: would you if I said, like, okay, where is P?
- 33:20Speaker 2: No one knows that exactly.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Let me guess there's twenty six Q After I was
- 33:26Speaker 1: going to go, what number is it in the aphabet,
- 33:28Speaker 1: I'm going to go, like seventeen A b.
- 33:31Speaker 4: CD E F G H I J K L M
- 33:35Speaker 4: N O P sixteen. That was close ELEMENTO P.
- 33:42Speaker 1: How do you sing it is? Element P or lemn
- 33:45Speaker 1: P element element? Yeah?
- 33:46Speaker 2: Did I tell you about the time I went to
- 33:47Speaker 2: kindergarten and this teacher started singing it the.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Time I went to kindergarten. That's funny, like recently, Yeah, yeah,
- 33:58Speaker 1: fucking twenty years ago. Also crazy to say it's like
- 34:02Speaker 1: nearly twenty years ago.
- 34:04Speaker 2: But yeah, I remember learning element OP at home and
- 34:07Speaker 2: at preschool and then stupid fucking miss kerch Offer. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 2: she starts playing it out of a little DVD player.
- 34:13Speaker 2: That's how old we are. And yeah, it's like, man, no,
- 34:19Speaker 2: I was like, what is this? You may be done
- 34:22Speaker 2: for no reason, Like just because I'm fast hasn't mean
- 34:24Speaker 2: I'm done.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Come on, fuck me. If you don't do it their way,
- 34:28Speaker 1: it's the wrong way, exactly, is it me? That's you?
- 34:31Speaker 2: Okay, it's my last one. What's something you're too embarrassed
- 34:34Speaker 2: to admit? You still do read smutty one direction fan fiction?
- 34:42Speaker 1: That's fine. Oh smutty is a bit weird.
- 34:45Speaker 2: They were hot though, to be fair, I actually don't
- 34:49Speaker 2: know if I would think that that's like a red
- 34:53Speaker 2: flagger or anything. What.
- 34:55Speaker 1: But their music doesn't age, so I think it's fine.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 1: So I don't know.
- 34:59Speaker 2: Do you think reading fan fiction that's like obviously sexual?
- 35:03Speaker 2: I dare say the fan fiction that you're reading is
- 35:05Speaker 2: like from you're reading it from your POV and maybe,
- 35:09Speaker 2: like I don't know, all five band members just come
- 35:11Speaker 2: and rail you or something.
- 35:12Speaker 1: Do you reckon anyone's ever wrote something about us? Nah?
- 35:16Speaker 1: I don't reckon. No, there's no way.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Well we're not sexualized, true, true, true, Yeah, And I
- 35:22Speaker 2: think it's like I think it's quoted out there way
- 35:25Speaker 2: too many times each one of us saying that we
- 35:27Speaker 2: don't have big dicks and we also don't last overly
- 35:30Speaker 2: that week. Well no, no, no, no, no no.
- 35:33Speaker 1: We also preach that seven to ten minutes is a
- 35:36Speaker 1: long time for sex. So I preach that.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so I don't think anyone's any writing fan fiction
- 35:41Speaker 2: with that in the back of.
- 35:41Speaker 1: The mind, the best seven to ten minutes of your life.
- 35:47Speaker 2: No, no, they could be writing it with like, let's
- 35:49Speaker 2: go and reddit. True, it's where it lives.
- 35:52Speaker 1: You know, I got two more. What's something you're too
- 35:56Speaker 1: embrossed to admit you still do? I asked the two
- 35:59Speaker 1: four when I grab takeout, because I don't want them
- 36:01Speaker 1: to know I'm gonna eat it alone.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Genius, actual genius. You know what's the biggest insult ever,
- 36:07Speaker 2: is when you're getting takeout and you're fully you're comfortable
- 36:11Speaker 2: with them knowing it's on your own, but they give
- 36:14Speaker 2: you two forks without asking because they think it's for
- 36:16Speaker 2: two people. Yeah, you're like, you fat fun Oh my god,
- 36:22Speaker 2: this is for tomorrow's life as well.
- 36:23Speaker 1: All right, my guy, it's always two forks. Actually, yeah, wow,
- 36:29Speaker 1: I'm like, fuck you this one. I think we both
- 36:32Speaker 1: do Okay, what's something you're too embarrassed to admit you
- 36:35Speaker 1: still do? Smell my own farts? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 36:38Speaker 1: do that.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Do that well?
- 36:40Speaker 1: I mean you can't, like you just have forced to.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Anyway you ever do, it's around you cupcake yourself. No,
- 36:46Speaker 1: the only the only person that's ever cupcaked me in
- 36:49Speaker 1: my whole life is you, and you do it often.
- 36:52Speaker 1: That's what friends had.
- 36:53Speaker 2: I had one more and it was something that I'm
- 36:56Speaker 2: not like. I feel like everyone admits this and it's.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Picking your nose. Oh yeah, that's not behind closed doors.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I picked not like.
- 37:03Speaker 2: I get confident enough around people where I will just
- 37:06Speaker 2: turn my back to them and I don't give a fuck.
- 37:09Speaker 1: And if I don't know, I'm not picket, I'm never
- 37:11Speaker 1: gonna see it. Everyone does it a big book. That's
- 37:16Speaker 1: the worst of the world. What's some oi?
- 37:19Speaker 2: Okay, I think I've fair, I think i've I think
- 37:21Speaker 2: I have the one of men of mine?
- 37:22Speaker 1: What is it? Okay?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Something I'm too embarrassed to admit that I still do?
- 37:28Speaker 2: But I only started doing it a couple of years ago.
- 37:31Speaker 2: I got brainwashed by a TikTok and it was a
- 37:35Speaker 2: guy saying that he doesn't wash his hands after he
- 37:37Speaker 2: uses the toilet right number one or two, and he
- 37:41Speaker 2: was like he was crazy, and he and he goes,
- 37:44Speaker 2: if I you know, I'm not going to kill the germs,
- 37:48Speaker 2: because I'm just basically telling my immune like, I'm just
- 37:52Speaker 2: like giving my immune system a reason to be weak.
- 37:56Speaker 2: So his whole reasoning was like, if my immune system
- 37:58Speaker 2: can't handle that, then I'm a fucking pussy.
- 38:01Speaker 1: So you don't wash your and so hands at all.
- 38:03Speaker 2: And so after I wi, especially in a public toilet
- 38:06Speaker 2: after a week, I don't wash my hands.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I don't know. Only I don't even touch it. I
- 38:09Speaker 1: don't even hold my whill.
- 38:10Speaker 2: But whenever I pooh, I wipe and then I washed
- 38:15Speaker 2: my hands. But maybe fifty percent of the time with soap,
- 38:20Speaker 2: so some so most of fifty percent of the time
- 38:21Speaker 2: I washed my hands after.
- 38:22Speaker 1: I poo with just water. I don't know, this is
- 38:24Speaker 1: kind of crazy, man.
- 38:25Speaker 2: But about two weeks ago I had I started washing
- 38:30Speaker 2: it after I pooh. I started washing my hands with
- 38:32Speaker 2: soap every single time because one time I just did
- 38:36Speaker 2: the water thing and drive my hands and then about
- 38:38Speaker 2: two hours later I randomly had my face near my thing.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I smelled like poo on my face, and I was like,
- 38:44Speaker 2: how is my fucking hand? I was like my hands
- 38:47Speaker 2: were like shit, I fooled. I was like what And
- 38:49Speaker 2: then I was like, wait, I didn't earlier, I just
- 38:52Speaker 2: didn't use soap, but now you soap everything.
- 38:53Speaker 1: You should have kept that to yourself. I mean, there's
- 38:56Speaker 1: what I mean is people are people. Bro Oh, she
- 39:00Speaker 1: listens at this, she does, yes, to hold those things.
- 39:03Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 39:04Speaker 2: But no, she can live in comfort knowing that since
- 39:07Speaker 2: for two weeks, I've been watching them every one hundred
- 39:09Speaker 2: cent of the.
- 39:10Speaker 1: Time you've been dead in the year and a half.
- 39:12Speaker 2: It is. I don't think she's ever if she's ever
- 39:14Speaker 2: smelt pool on my hands, and she's kept it to herself.
- 39:19Speaker 1: But that's just it is what it is. What's your
- 39:22Speaker 1: embarrassing things? You got to have some. I'm not embarrassing, man,
- 39:24Speaker 1: nothing came to mind.
- 39:25Speaker 2: See I'm not actually that embarrassed to admit that.
- 39:28Speaker 1: We can admit it. I do like weird, nothing like embarrassing.
- 39:34Speaker 1: It's sort of just like what's it called when you're skeptical, no, optimistic, No,
- 39:41Speaker 1: when you're like voodoo, you're scared, like something's going to happen,
- 39:44Speaker 1: like if I'm manifestation, if I missed the bin, but
- 39:47Speaker 1: it's close enough and like it's not hurting anybody, I'll
- 39:50Speaker 1: go and pick it up purely out the fact of
- 39:51Speaker 1: bad calm.
- 39:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, same. Shut the fuck up. That's embarrassing.
- 39:55Speaker 2: That's a nice thing. You're admitting that you're a good person.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Shut up that.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I told you.
- 40:03Speaker 1: I don't have anything. You made me think in the
- 40:05Speaker 1: back of my brain. But I do it out of
- 40:07Speaker 1: not getting common not that I'm a good person, Like
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm not thinking. I'm not thinking, oh, I've got to
- 40:11Speaker 1: save the world, dollfish.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yeah. Same. I do it out of self I don't
- 40:15Speaker 2: want the bad com But that's why everyone does it,
- 40:18Speaker 2: and that's why the world is starting to become a
- 40:20Speaker 2: better place, because we're all selfish and we don't want
- 40:22Speaker 2: bad things to happen to us, so we start doing
- 40:24Speaker 2: good things for the world.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Dilemmas time baby, and if anyone wants to submit one.
- 40:35Speaker 1: It is pinned at the top of the description and
- 40:38Speaker 1: also linking by her on Instagram. Square all the bottom
- 40:40Speaker 1: as a picture of Jake with his arms crossed, and
- 40:42Speaker 1: it says dilemmas and there's been a lot of submissions,
- 40:45Speaker 1: so yeah, thanks everybody. There has been lots. You're gonna
- 40:47Speaker 1: hate this, okay, and it's got a title, so you're
- 40:50Speaker 1: gonna love that. He thinks it's harmless. My intuition thinks
- 40:55Speaker 1: it's a warning, okay. And I'm pretty sure I've picked
- 40:58Speaker 1: on She's written this and put it in chat GBT
- 41:01Speaker 1: to make it better. So I'm I'm happy for that.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I think everyone should do know how I know how?
- 41:05Speaker 2: Oh the couple Jake the other day, good girl.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I've been dubting my boyfriend for a while now, but
- 41:14Speaker 1: we've been close friends for nearly ten years. Before that,
- 41:18Speaker 1: he has three other girlfriends he's close with, and he
- 41:23Speaker 1: slept with all of them. I knew about this before
- 41:27Speaker 1: we got together, and at first I was okay with it,
- 41:30Speaker 1: but one of them has started to bother me, and
- 41:33Speaker 1: I can't shake the feeling she's the only one whose
- 41:37Speaker 1: history with him is a secret. They both choose not
- 41:40Speaker 1: to tell their friendship group in Brackets, even though all
- 41:44Speaker 1: other hookups with the group are open about it. I'm
- 41:48Speaker 1: the only one who knows this secrecy just feels loaded.
- 41:52Speaker 1: She stalks my socials, pretends to be nice. My women's
- 41:55Speaker 1: intuition is screaming that something isn't right, and let's be
- 41:59Speaker 1: on it. Women's intuition is rarely wrong. I trust him,
- 42:03Speaker 1: He's done nothing to make me question him, but everything
- 42:06Speaker 1: in me says she has bad intentions and I don't
- 42:11Speaker 1: like her in the picture at all. I want her
- 42:14Speaker 1: out of his life. But how do I ask that
- 42:17Speaker 1: when nothing's technically happened. How do I protect my peace
- 42:22Speaker 1: without sounding possessive or insecure? I've explained to him how
- 42:25Speaker 1: I feel, but he doesn't want to cut her out
- 42:28Speaker 1: of his life altogether? How do I make him understand
- 42:31Speaker 1: she is bad news and he doesn't want to listen?
- 42:35Speaker 3: Damn?
- 42:35Speaker 2: I was hoping you weren't going to say that you
- 42:40Speaker 2: had spoken to him about how you feel already, because
- 42:42Speaker 2: that was going to be my go.
- 42:43Speaker 1: To a bit of advice to communication.
- 42:46Speaker 2: I was going to be like, come tell him how
- 42:48Speaker 2: you feel. Check it tilemm me done?
- 42:50Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, So he doesn't see it, Damn, how do
- 42:53Speaker 1: we feel about that? But if you've communicated how you
- 42:55Speaker 1: feel and you don't like that he's had previous relations
- 42:59Speaker 1: with her, and you feel uncomfortable and you don't trust her,
- 43:02Speaker 1: and he's like, I still want her in my life. Yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 1: red flag, very red in my opinion. That's like, you're
- 43:10Speaker 1: dating me, bitch, like you've slept with her. That means
- 43:14Speaker 1: you've bodily functions have been exchanged. It is I find
- 43:20Speaker 1: it so weird right that I don't know.
- 43:28Speaker 2: I don't know if this is like crazy mindset, but
- 43:34Speaker 2: with my girlfriend, there is like very There's a few
- 43:38Speaker 2: people in this world that if she gave me an
- 43:42Speaker 2: ultimatum of it's either them or me, I would think
- 43:45Speaker 2: it's probably worse on her end, Like if you know,
- 43:49Speaker 2: it's selfish on her end to even give me that
- 43:52Speaker 2: ultimatum because obviously that you can't make a choice in that.
- 43:56Speaker 2: But there is I think there is times where the
- 44:00Speaker 2: fact that you even need to get to an ultimatum
- 44:03Speaker 2: when the choice should be so obvious, it's a major
- 44:07Speaker 2: red flag from your partner. So it's like if Beth
- 44:11Speaker 2: was friends with someone and became friends with them even
- 44:17Speaker 2: before we started dating and had a relationship with them,
- 44:21Speaker 2: and I knew about it, and maybe initially I was
- 44:26Speaker 2: okay with it. Love is blind, and then I started
- 44:30Speaker 2: saying how uncomfortable it made me feel, Why is your
- 44:37Speaker 2: friendship with them more important than how I feel?
- 44:40Speaker 1: It's weird.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I think that sacrifices need to be made, and that
- 44:49Speaker 2: your feelings because because it's not. Here's the thing is,
- 44:53Speaker 2: it's not unreasonable.
- 44:55Speaker 1: What I'm your feelings should be seen, whereas them keeping
- 44:58Speaker 1: that friendship is sort of being like, oh, yeah, I
- 45:00Speaker 1: don't care, Like I just.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Think that because your feelings are reasonable, if it was
- 45:04Speaker 2: something that's like super unreasonable, like I don't know, I
- 45:10Speaker 2: can't really think of something super unreasonable. But if you
- 45:12Speaker 2: actually swears too much, yeah, like, if you were being
- 45:14Speaker 2: like very unreasonable, then I could understand him saying that's
- 45:19Speaker 2: crazy or like sip. But because your feelings aren't unreasonable,
- 45:24Speaker 2: I think that it is a yeah, pretty major red flag.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I think so too. And at what point do you
- 45:30Speaker 1: bring this up with him and say, look like the
- 45:33Speaker 1: ultimatid When do you bring that up and say like
- 45:35Speaker 1: it's me or her? Or is that a toxic thing
- 45:37Speaker 1: to do? Well?
- 45:37Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know because everyone says it's a
- 45:39Speaker 2: toxic thing. But also I would hate to feel as
- 45:42Speaker 2: though I need to.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Even give the person i'm with an ultimatum. Does that
- 45:46Speaker 1: mean the relationship is gone. If you need the ultimatum, Yeah,
- 45:48Speaker 1: I don't think it's kind of if I.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Had to give my girlfriend an ultimatum saying it's either
- 45:56Speaker 2: me or this friend of yours.
- 45:58Speaker 1: That's a dude. I feel like relationships lost. Yeah, that
- 46:01Speaker 1: they have, and.
- 46:02Speaker 2: They've slept together and I feel uncomfortable, and she still
- 46:04Speaker 2: wants to be friends with him. Like, I can't speak
- 46:08Speaker 2: for your boyfriend, but if the fucking tables were turned,
- 46:11Speaker 2: I just know what it feels like to love someone,
- 46:13Speaker 2: and I actually also know what it feels like to
- 46:15Speaker 2: be kind of jealous, and also to just not feel
- 46:18Speaker 2: super secure, like your boyfriend's not helping you feel secure
- 46:21Speaker 2: right now.
- 46:21Speaker 1: No, he's not helping the cause at all. And also
- 46:24Speaker 1: the fact that he's maintain these friendships. I don't know.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Maybe it's toxic on my mindset to think you can't
- 46:31Speaker 1: be friends with someone you've had sex with. But I agree, though,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I just don't that exchange that you do. There's some
- 46:38Speaker 1: type of connection that no one else feels, and it's
- 46:41Speaker 1: a deep, underlying connection, and if you get in a
- 46:43Speaker 1: relationship with someone, you owe it to them not to
- 46:46Speaker 1: still converse with that person because of that past relationship.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Even if you weren't dating, it's still something that's so
- 46:53Speaker 1: intimate and should make its honest. It's honestly so normal
- 46:58Speaker 1: to feel insecure what your boyfriend's doing. Yeah, yeah, see.
- 47:02Speaker 2: And here's the thing that's hard as well, is I
- 47:05Speaker 2: don't know how I would feel in her very niche
- 47:08Speaker 2: situation right now, of whether or not, because it's easy
- 47:11Speaker 2: to say, oh, maybe you guys just aren't meant for
- 47:13Speaker 2: each other, right, But I don't know how I would
- 47:16Speaker 2: feel in the exact situation, because you know, you would
- 47:21Speaker 2: feel like what a waste of fucking time, and you
- 47:24Speaker 2: would be like, well, this feels like a silly reason
- 47:26Speaker 2: to leave him, But I don't know.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Protecting your peace may not be the silliest reason. How
- 47:31Speaker 1: can you make him realize let's just say he's a
- 47:34Speaker 1: dumb boy and he can't see the situation for what
- 47:38Speaker 1: it is and how it makes her feel, which is
- 47:40Speaker 1: a red flag. But how can you what's the step
- 47:43Speaker 1: before breaking up? All that ultimative that makes him see
- 47:47Speaker 1: the situation for what it is, because obviously you can't
- 47:49Speaker 1: see it. Yeah, how do you make someone who's blind
- 47:53Speaker 1: see something? I wonder in what detail she has expressed
- 48:01Speaker 1: how she felt.
- 48:03Speaker 2: I dare say, it's just like, probably as much detail
- 48:05Speaker 2: as you can go, you know, because he shouldn't need
- 48:08Speaker 2: to know any more apart from the fact that she's
- 48:09Speaker 2: uncomfortable with it.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Yeah, as soon as you should as soon as you say, like,
- 48:13Speaker 1: I'm uncomfortable, he should be like, oh, what can I
- 48:15Speaker 1: do to help? I'm sorry thing, this is toxic.
- 48:18Speaker 2: I think we've given this advice before where you bring
- 48:20Speaker 2: it up with your boyfriend again and you ended the
- 48:23Speaker 2: conversation with, Look, I don't want to argue with you
- 48:25Speaker 2: about it, but I but I do need you to
- 48:27Speaker 2: know that this is not something that I will be
- 48:29Speaker 2: putting up with because I value my feelings. So is
- 48:34Speaker 2: that giving an ultimatum without actually giving it? Because his
- 48:36Speaker 2: response could be, well, are you giving me an ultimatum then,
- 48:39Speaker 2: and you could you could just say no, that's not
- 48:42Speaker 2: what I said. But I like you should know that
- 48:44Speaker 2: I have enough fucking pride in myself and value my
- 48:50Speaker 2: feelings enough that I'm not going to put myself through this.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I like you need to know that protecting yourself.
- 48:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like, it's not about the ultimatum, it's about
- 48:59Speaker 2: it's about you saying I need you to know one
- 49:03Speaker 2: hundred if you don't know it's about me already, that
- 49:06Speaker 2: this is not something I will be putting myself through
- 49:08Speaker 2: because you can't control everyone.
- 49:10Speaker 1: And the result of that is he should realize the
- 49:12Speaker 1: magnitude of what he's doing.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Yeah from you saying and it's not really an ultimatum,
- 49:16Speaker 2: it's more him making a decision and realizing. And worst
- 49:19Speaker 2: case scenario is you've protected your peace by saying that
- 49:23Speaker 2: and the relationship dissipates. But better case scenario, he's like,
- 49:26Speaker 2: oh shit, I didn't realize how much this was impacting you.
- 49:28Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. I'm gonna cut off the relationship.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yeah, true, Yeah, And you might not even you could
- 49:33Speaker 2: even just say like, yeah, it's just like it makes
- 49:38Speaker 2: me feel like shit, and I won't I won't stand
- 49:41Speaker 2: for it, and yeah, like I don't want to feel
- 49:44Speaker 2: like shit, and so I don't have many options to
- 49:48Speaker 2: not feel like shit, you know, think about it, I
- 49:52Speaker 2: don't want to feel like shit. And you can walk
- 49:54Speaker 2: away and he's gonna be like, well, she's obviously thinking
- 49:56Speaker 2: about leaving me, so.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like, yeah, you're my boyfriend. You shouldn't be
- 50:00Speaker 1: making me feel like shit. Yeah, you're right, that does
- 50:02Speaker 1: piss me off. This one.
- 50:04Speaker 2: She like, this does piss me off. A pissing you
- 50:06Speaker 2: off so bad.
- 50:07Speaker 1: But I think what you said is a great tip
- 50:09Speaker 1: whereas you're putting yourself first and protecting your emotions and
- 50:14Speaker 1: then he can do what he wants, but you can't
- 50:16Speaker 1: control what he does exactly. So I think that's the
- 50:18Speaker 1: best advice you can give.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Welcome to Relatables Baddies book Club, where we will embark
- 50:31Speaker 2: on a journey reading some of the finest pieces of
- 50:33Speaker 2: literature you have ever laid eyes. Ory is if that's
- 50:36Speaker 2: your preferred way to consume a book. On a Court
- 50:40Speaker 2: of Thorns and Roses Chapters thirty to thirty seven, Jake,
- 50:46Speaker 2: Welcome back everybody to the Relatables Batties Book Club.
- 50:50Speaker 1: Oh I'm excited, but sad we're getting to the end
- 50:54Speaker 1: of the book.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we're coming, We are coming on in. I'm glad
- 50:57Speaker 2: there's so.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Many books in this series because same it's gone quick.
- 51:01Speaker 1: I'll hand you this back because you will need it.
- 51:04Speaker 1: But to start, do you want to talk about new
- 51:08Speaker 1: thoughts and feelings of how are you feeling after reading
- 51:11Speaker 1: those six chapters. How do I feel after reading these chapters? Okay,
- 51:16Speaker 1: it's a good question. I think I'm feeling very.
- 51:22Speaker 2: I'm I am happy with where it went, but I'm
- 51:26Speaker 2: just way way more curious because of where we forced
- 51:31Speaker 2: ourselves to stop.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Yeah, very say apologies. A lot of the comments said
- 51:36Speaker 1: do the whole thing, do the whole thing? Yeah, And unfortunately,
- 51:38Speaker 1: how we've like done this is we we're pre recording obviously,
- 51:42Speaker 1: so like we see the comments like post.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Yeah, like we record, so with the day that we're
- 51:47Speaker 2: recording this. This comes out six days from the day
- 51:49Speaker 2: we're recording it, basically.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's worked out well. How I'm feeling I
- 51:53Speaker 1: feel like I've been lied to my whole life. Damn
- 51:56Speaker 1: bro same Yeah.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Yeah, No, we found out some I'm not gonna lie.
- 52:01Speaker 2: We found out some shit, and holy it's all coming
- 52:04Speaker 2: back to me.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. The start of that chapter, like so the
- 52:07Speaker 1: starts like we can probably miss it. She's like back
- 52:10Speaker 1: in her village and her family hates her. Pause her
- 52:12Speaker 1: family with shit, Yeah, they don't even care.
- 52:14Speaker 2: Actually, my actual genuine feelings are I feel slightly anxious, anxious.
- 52:23Speaker 2: I'm a little anxious.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Ok. Yeah, that's where I am with it. Where we
- 52:27Speaker 1: stopped kind of worked out well because she just survived. Yeah, okay, okay, okay,
- 52:31Speaker 1: I've got I got like good notes.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Let's go through the chatter kit. Okay, So I'm just
- 52:35Speaker 2: I've just got like a sentence really about what each
- 52:38Speaker 2: chapter was about. Yeah, chapter thirty we ended off chapter
- 52:42Speaker 2: twenty nine.
- 52:43Speaker 1: She's gone.
- 52:44Speaker 2: Tamlin has sent her home, okay, because of all the
- 52:47Speaker 2: shit that's gone down. And then she gets home, there's
- 52:51Speaker 2: nothing like really crazy happens. Blah blah blah. Basically Nesta
- 52:56Speaker 2: her oldest sister. Yeah, she calls Fayra out and go
- 53:00Speaker 2: where have you been this whole time? And and Farah's
- 53:03Speaker 2: like what do you mean? And Nestor goes, there's no
- 53:06Speaker 2: aunt whatever her fucking name was, made up name was,
- 53:10Speaker 2: And she's like, oh, what do you mean? And then
- 53:12Speaker 2: Nesta goes that magic didn't work on me. Tamlin's glamour
- 53:17Speaker 2: worked on Elaine and the Dad, but it didn't work
- 53:21Speaker 2: on Nesta. She thought she was going crazy, and so
- 53:23Speaker 2: she thought she was going crazy. And Nessa just chucks
- 53:25Speaker 2: this like shod of wood from a table that Tamlin
- 53:29Speaker 2: must have ripped off of one of his claws on
- 53:31Speaker 2: the night he initially came and took favor.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:33Speaker 2: Right, and so Favra goes shit and Nesta says, tell
- 53:37Speaker 2: me everything, And so now Farah tells her literally every detail.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Obviously, Yeah, I thought, Ah, that was good. But also
- 53:44Speaker 1: when she got back to her family and like they
- 53:46Speaker 1: were rich now they didn't really care and they're talking
- 53:48Speaker 1: about like trade and like new house and stuff. I
- 53:49Speaker 1: was like, this is just her family's kind of boring.
- 53:53Speaker 2: Her family is boring.
- 53:54Speaker 1: That sister going and she went to go look for
- 53:58Speaker 1: the arts place, but she knew she was just going
- 54:00Speaker 1: after her. She hired the mercenary. Yeah, she went on
- 54:03Speaker 1: the wall for like three days or something, didn't find anything.
- 54:05Speaker 1: She went in the dead of winter. That was quite nice.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say of all the family members, Nesta
- 54:10Speaker 2: is the best, even though she's the bitchiest.
- 54:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that made me feel a little bit good,
- 54:14Speaker 1: a bit better. But otherwise continue.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Yeah, So then from and then to chapter thirty one, Yeah,
- 54:23Speaker 2: Farah learns of a house nearby that burned down where
- 54:29Speaker 2: the whole family was in it servants. Everything except one
- 54:34Speaker 2: of the daughters was never found, right and the daughter
- 54:39Speaker 2: that was never found was goes by the name of
- 54:41Speaker 2: Claire bed Door.
- 54:43Speaker 1: And we didn't mention this right, We forgot to.
- 54:45Speaker 2: But that makes it good is when Reesand was in
- 54:50Speaker 2: the dinner hall or whatever where they when she was,
- 54:55Speaker 2: when she was still in the spring court, he was like,
- 54:58Speaker 2: what's your name? And off the top of her head,
- 55:01Speaker 2: she she said, I can't tell him my real name
- 55:04Speaker 2: because he's going to go look for my family, because
- 55:05Speaker 2: he's gonna ask for my last time as well. So
- 55:07Speaker 2: she said that her name is Claire Bedell and he
- 55:10Speaker 2: goes and he believes it. And so then she's home
- 55:13Speaker 2: for a couple of days, finds out about the house
- 55:15Speaker 2: burning down, and she goes, oh, who's the house And
- 55:17Speaker 2: they go, oh, it was the bed Ors family, and
- 55:19Speaker 2: she goes, no, they didn't. They were gonna go fucking
- 55:22Speaker 2: kill her whole family.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Yeah, And when I read that, I was like, yes,
- 55:25Speaker 1: I know. I was like genius.
- 55:27Speaker 2: And then she felt bad, Well, yeah, you terrible. You
- 55:29Speaker 2: had a whole family killed.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Did she saved her family? I was like, better theirs
- 55:33Speaker 1: than hers.
- 55:33Speaker 2: You would still feel terrible, but you would still think
- 55:35Speaker 2: that it was the right.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Thing to do for your family. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I
- 55:38Speaker 1: was like genius and she's like, oh, grumbling and shit,
- 55:40Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, what can you do?
- 55:42Speaker 2: And so she's like shit and so. But because of that,
- 55:46Speaker 2: and because she is now like, oh, you know, Amarantha
- 55:51Speaker 2: and her fucking little gremlins and resend and shit, they're
- 55:54Speaker 2: game enough to come on this side of the wall
- 55:56Speaker 2: and do that. Yeah, something must have happened in the
- 55:58Speaker 2: spring Court. And she tells Farah, she tells Nesta, and
- 56:02Speaker 2: Nesta goes like fuck and basically Pharah says, I am
- 56:06Speaker 2: I'm going. She was home for two chapters and then
- 56:09Speaker 2: she she just goes back.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it was like hops given a jump. Didn't
- 56:13Speaker 1: you tell the whole family what happened?
- 56:14Speaker 2: She she told her her family what happened, and as
- 56:16Speaker 2: she was telling them, it's almost like getting the truth
- 56:19Speaker 2: made the glamour go away. And then they remembered everything
- 56:23Speaker 2: and they were horrified and they were scared. And her
- 56:25Speaker 2: dad is such a fucking baby bro.
- 56:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're all like, oh, go do her like,
- 56:31Speaker 1: you know, didn't he say was it the sister or
- 56:33Speaker 1: the dad that said like, we don't need you here anymore?
- 56:35Speaker 1: Nesta said that and then she like was delusionally telling
- 56:37Speaker 1: herself like that that made her feel better about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Nesta goes, father told you last time not to come back.
- 56:46Speaker 2: I'm telling you again. We don't need you here. We
- 56:48Speaker 2: can take care of ourselves. Don't come back, Fara, and
- 56:50Speaker 2: then Pharaoh goes underneath it delusionally, it wasn't an insult.
- 56:56Speaker 2: I was like, what the biggest since I've ever fucking
- 56:59Speaker 2: heard bro'.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Whatever makes you sleep at night?
- 57:03Speaker 2: I was like, that's so mad.
- 57:05Speaker 1: We don't need you, oh man. And then so she
- 57:08Speaker 1: goes back.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Yeah, chapter thirty two, this is where it gets good. Yeah,
- 57:12Speaker 2: she goes back to Tamlin's manner. She finds a hole
- 57:15Speaker 2: in the wall. She's there for like two days or something,
- 57:17Speaker 2: and she goes through the hole in the wall and
- 57:20Speaker 2: she goes back to the manor and everyone's gone. It
- 57:23Speaker 2: looks like, she says, it looks like a fight has
- 57:25Speaker 2: taken place, but it doesn't look like it was an
- 57:29Speaker 2: army against an army. It looks like she said, it
- 57:31Speaker 2: looked like it was most likely Tamlin versus recent scuffle.
- 57:35Speaker 2: And there's no bodies anywhere. Yeah, so she was like
- 57:38Speaker 2: they can't be dead. I can't see anybodies. And then
- 57:40Speaker 2: in the house she runs into Alice, her old servant friend,
- 57:44Speaker 2: and basically she just gets Alice to tell her everything.
- 57:48Speaker 2: And here, okay we should.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Know wait, we should mention. Before she finds Alice, she's
- 57:53Speaker 1: saying she's going to tell Tamlin that she's realized she's
- 57:56Speaker 1: in love with him.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Yes, okay, yes, that is correct. And then here's where
- 58:01Speaker 2: the lawd drops. Yes, all right, mouthful and a half.
- 58:05Speaker 1: I need to take some of my drink because holy only,
- 58:08Speaker 1: I actually got sad reading same everything Alice was saying.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I was like, are you kidding me?
- 58:13Speaker 2: I was sad as well. So she goes back at
- 58:17Speaker 2: she runs find she finds Alice. She's going back to
- 58:19Speaker 2: tell Tamlin how she feels, because he finishes it off
- 58:22Speaker 2: with I love you and again semi manipulative from him.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Guys, but Tamilin is just manipulative to a core.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, fine, yeah, okay, So she goes back, she
- 58:34Speaker 2: goes to tell and so Alice starts telling her where
- 58:37Speaker 2: they've gone. Basically, how do you tell us in the
- 58:41Speaker 2: right timeline? So Amarantha has taken the whole spring court.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Yes, okay.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Reason being is she Amarantha is the High Queen of Printhian.
- 58:54Speaker 2: She has been for about fifty years. She's been in
- 58:57Speaker 2: Prithian for a lot longer because she was the King
- 59:01Speaker 2: of Highburn, which is just another country about over the water,
- 59:05Speaker 2: the King of Highburn's highest up general in his war
- 59:08Speaker 2: against the mortals, right, and she was a nasty mother trucker.
- 59:14Speaker 2: She had a sister named Clythia. Clythia fell in love
- 59:17Speaker 2: with a human that was the leader of the humans
- 59:21Speaker 2: fighting against Amarantha and King Highburn, right, and Jurian was
- 59:26Speaker 2: using Clythia and Clythia's sister. Amarantha knew this, but she
- 59:31Speaker 2: couldn't bring herself to kill Durian because she didn't want
- 59:33Speaker 2: to hurt her sister. Durian gets what he needs from Clythia,
- 59:37Speaker 2: and then he tortures her and kills her using ashwood
- 59:40Speaker 2: because we all know that is how they humans can
- 59:42Speaker 2: kill fairies. And Amarantha really just like breaks down, shows
- 59:47Speaker 2: her wrath. Apparently it could be heard for the heavens
- 59:49Speaker 2: as some shit.
- 59:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Amarantha's a crazy bitch, and so what she does is
- 59:53Speaker 2: finally Amarantha and Jurian go head to head and she
- 59:58Speaker 2: slays Durian, but then higher up people get involved and
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: set the treaty, and so Amarantha like that part of
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: the story randomly, I guess is just a good reason
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: for Amarantha to hate humans, because it kind of isn't
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: super valid. But basically, Tamlin's family from the spring Court
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: have really close ties with Highburn the country, and Tamlin's
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: elder like his father, and that they all like, and
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: King Hiburn and Amereantha, they all hated humans, and Tamlin
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: is probably the first one of his fucking bloodline to
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: actually not hate humans and not and just I hate slavery.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: So from when he was young, him and Amarantha actually
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: knew each other really well before the war because they're
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: super old because his spring Court had close ties to Highburn,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: and she's Highburn's highest general, and she has eyes for Tamlin.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: She loves Tamlin, and so basically, when the war's over,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: she comes back to Priythian and starts to swing and
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: trick all of the high lords of Prithian, all the
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: seven Highlights of Prithian. They're like, we don't want you here,
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: and she's going no, no, no, my sister's death has
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: changed me. I've come to prove to you that I
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: have changed, and I don't hate humans, and I want
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: to live here and I want to help for everything
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: that I've done, yeah, for like ruining your lands. And
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: so basically what she does how.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Long was she doing that?
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: For a long time long one, yeah, a long long time.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: And what she was actually secretly doing was gathering power.
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: And one of the ways that she got all the
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: seven high lords to agree to letting her stay there
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: was that she said she will open up trade routes
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: from high Burn because I think he's richer than all
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: the seven high Loads of Prithian. He opened up trade routes,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: and with those trade routes, she was sneaking in her
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: own troops without high Burn even knowing. And basically still
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: with all of that, she couldn't beat the Seven Highlights
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: of Prithian because of how fucking strong their magic was,
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: like apparently Tamlin used to be an animal animal, And
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: so what she did one night was she invited all
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: of them to her court, which is the court under
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: the mouth, and she somehow used an old spell of
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: height of King high Burns and put it into a drink,
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: gave it to all of the seven high lords who
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: thought they were just going for a party, and she,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: using that spell, stripped them of their power, leaving them
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: to their most basest elements, which Tamila's still a beast,
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: but he used to be even way way, way, way,
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: way more. And so she's taken all their power and
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: in turn, she actually has become what is known as
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: the Blight. Like they Amarantha put this spell on them, well.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Basically the Bly. It's not real.
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Amarantha is the Bly. But the reason that they
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: were calling it the Blight to Fairah is because the
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: spell makes it so they can't actually talk about what's happened, right,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: because she wants Tamlin and he says, no, you're disgusting.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: I don't want to go near you. So she takes
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: all their power and she says, ha ha ha ha, Tamlin,
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: you have seven times seven years to break this curse
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: and then I'm coming to get you. And forty nine
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: years to someone that's a fairy is nothing. And so
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: basically and the way to break the curse Tamila has
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: forty nine years to do it is he because of
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: how much Amarantha hates the humans, and the humans hate Amarantha.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: She made it impossible for him to break the curse.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: And the way to break the curse was he has
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: to send over a fairy from his court and let
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: it be slain by a human that hates fairies. With
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: the passion. He has to bring the human back, make
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: it fall in love with him, and then if that
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: human is to then hate fairies but then fall in
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: love with Tamilin and then love fairies and say I
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: love you, the curse will be broken. Masks come off
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: and everyone gets their power back. So he was doing
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: that for years and years and years, failure, failure, failure,
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: just sending off people to be killed, turning a fairy
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: into a wolf, sending it off to be killed, and
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: then he gave up. It has about a year left,
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: it's the forty eighth year or forty ninth year left
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: with like it's a forty ninth year with like three
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: months left or something, and he just has one more
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: crack at it because he does not want to be
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Amarantha's bitch, and so he sends Andreas over, who he
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: has said is like his best mate. Actually wasn't he
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: was sending him to be butchered, and Fra kills him.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: It's that's the wolf that Farah kills at the start
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: of the book. And then Tamlin's like, I got my
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: fucking meat, let's go, brings her in, makes her fall
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: in love with him, and then says I love you.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: And the reason that he stuck his head in the
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: carriage at the end that one last time to say,
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: remember Farah, I love you, is because if she was
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: to have set it back, everything would have been happy days.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: His mask would have fallen off.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: I don't reckon it would have happened the way we're
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: finding out how Amarantha works works. I feel like it
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: was all just one like sort of play. Yeah, but
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that's why they were doing everything. So basically Tamlin's being
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: being lying to her the whole time.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: The whole time, Hey yeah, fairy, here's all this from Alice.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Yeah, and.
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: She doesn't even care. She still was just like I
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: loved Tamlin.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Yeah, which I was like, he's had ulterior motives to
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: loving you. Does he actually love you or you just
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: want to get rid of this curse. It's the most
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: insane law I've ever heard.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: I was, I dropped my book.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but now we're finding out about how Amarantha operates,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: it makes a lot of sense. Yeah. But then at
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: that point I was like, fucking hell.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Okay, so basically that was some law that everyone needed
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: to hear. Yeah, and then she says to Alice like
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: I need to go get him, and Alice goes no.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: She kind of has an argument, and then and then
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: one last time, and here's what, Okay, you know what
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: I think about this. I think Alice was saying no
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: to taking her to the court under the Mountain to
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: save Tamlin and Lucian for a reason. The reason she
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: was saying that is to say, like she said to her, like, no,
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: it's a death since you'll die. And then Parah still goes,
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: I don't care, I want to go take me. She goes, no,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: you are gonna die. She was testing to see how
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: much she actually loved Tamlin, right, because I do think
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: that the love can still save him, even after we've heard,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: even after what we've read, I do think the watson
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: still save it. Ok. So she ends up taking her
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: takes her to the this cave, which is a shortcut,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: and she says a couple of rules.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Do you remember them? It was, listen carefully, just listen carefully.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Don't make deals with anyone unless don't make a deal
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: with anyone unless your life depends on it. Yeah and yeah,
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: just basically. Oh and she said one more thing. She said,
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: there is a part of Amarantha's curse that still doesn't
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: let me tell you certain things about the curse. And
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: it's obviously for a reason. So keep your ears open,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: because that's why I think her love for Tamlin can
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: still you know what I mean, there's a loophole in there. Okay,
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: So she tells her all that Farah entered. Chapter thirty three,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: Fair enters the cave and not long end, she has
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: arms around her arms and she's like, holy shit, what's that.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: She turns around.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: It's the at or yep.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: Chapter thirty four, Faray gets taken to.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: The phone room, a throne room. We finally meet Amarantha.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Tamlin is sitting next to Amarantha. I think he's drugged
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: or some shit. He's fucked up.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: I love what she said when she saw him. She goes,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: she's not as beautiful as I thought.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: She did say that too. Yeah, she's not of the
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: beauty that I expected or something, and I was just like,
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: you cheeky. Yeah. Yeah. She's like you're you don't threaten me. Yeah,
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: I know, Tamlin's gonna choose me. That's what she's thinking
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: in her head, Okay. And when she enters the throne room,
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: so she sees that Tamlin's there, she's like, holy shit.
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: And then Amarantha's like, well, well, well, how do we
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: have here?
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Adam was like a human whatever. And then she turns
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: around behind.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Her who's hanging there, dead and tortured, clear bedwar.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: Yeah, like holy shit.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: And then uh, she feels guilty again. And then she's
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: talking to Amarantha and she's saying, well, why are you here,
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: and basically she doesn't really know what to say, and
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: finally she says, I'm here to claim the one I love,
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: thinking that that's going to break the curse. Yeah, and
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: she's like, the one you love and she's like the
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: Spring the high lord of the Tablin, Yeah, the high
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: lord of the Spring court. And she's like Tamblin and
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: Rytha's like, fucking humans, you daddy dog, what are you
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: doing about it? And Tamlin goes what does Tamlin say.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: He says, like, oh, this has resent. Yeah, Resense playing
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: a joke, like he's trying to protect favous Siel, like
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Resentse playing a joke.
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: Even though he's high. Yes, he's trying to protect her.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Maybe the love is real.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and so here we go, right chapter thirty five? Yeah,
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: oh no she oh no, no, no, no, sorry we
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: got in chapter thirty four she's talking that. She says,
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: I'm here to claim why I love. And then Amarantha,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: because she's so powerful, and gets so bored. She goes, well,
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: things have been boring here since I tortured your friend Claire,
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: all right, and so she says, how about this. You
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: can have the one you love and the spring Court
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: can be free if you were if you do my trials,
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: three trials over three months. Every single time there's a
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: full moon, you do a trial.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Yes, and fair is like shit.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: Alice said, don't make deals and then she she goes, okay,
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: and she's thinking about it, and then Amarantha goes, and
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: I'm going.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: To make it even more interesting.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a riddle. If you can
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: solve this riddle at any point in the three months,
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: that you are here doing the trials. Everyone can be.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Let go masks off. Tamlin's yours magic restored to the
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: lands to the high lords immediately and that word means
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: something because she was like immediately she says deal and
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: then she gets beat up. Oh yeah, she makes the
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: deal with Amarantha and then she goes and then Amarantha, Yeah,
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Amrantha's like, okay, let's give her a warm welcome to
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: the Midnight Court.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: She just gets beat up by like four fairies, like
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: crop a beat up quick like that. What did you
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: think the answer to the riddle?
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: I've got the riddle. I'm going to read it.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: I thought I know here.
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: I'm going to tell you what I think my answer
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: is because I think I know the answer. Okay, okay,
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: let's see.
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna read it quickly. It's a confusing, though
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I thought the ending of it gave it away. Hmmm,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: this is the riddle.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Guys. There are those who seek me a lifetime but
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: never we meet, and those I kiss, but who trample
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: me beneath ungrateful feet. At times I seem to favor
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: the clever and the fair, but I bless all those
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: who are brave enough to dare. By large, my ministrations
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: are soft handed and sweet, but scorned, I become a
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: difficult beast to defeat, for though each of my strikes
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: lands a powerful blow, when I kill, I do it slow.
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: Well.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I thought the answer was Amarantha. The answer was Tamlin.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I thought it's AMARANTHO.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: Okay, so she's doing a riddle about herself.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: That's what that's what you think.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: For some reason, I just was like, it's got to
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: be the answer is Tamlin.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: But I don't know why Tanlin doesn't kill Slow but
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: she doesn't think there's things we don't know about him.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: But she she she's killing she's trying to kill Frerer Slow.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: That's what gave it away.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: I thought, No, you're right, but that's it.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: When I went and I was like, that's sucking her bit, like,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: just say it it is.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: You're right.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: So it could just be that the riddle is her
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: I really but also I think it's a curveball and
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: it doesn't it's going to be something we haven't even
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: like met yet. Yeah, yeah, and so that's the riddle.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: Then she gets yes.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Fra gets taken back to her cell, wakes up or
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: bloody broken nose basically, and then Lucian sneaks in.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Tries to fix her nose but can't make it look
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: too obvious.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, and then hike so she actually gets
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: the So she goes to the cell after making the
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: deal and then comes back a few days later, and
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: that's when she gets the riddle. And then but before
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: she gets the riddle, she am Mirantha realizes she doesn't
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: know Favor's name, but she thought it was Claire Beddell, right,
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: And okay, this is why I think that my last
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: week's prediction is running slightly true. Oh okay, okay, because
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: she brings Fair up and she's like, well, what is
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: your name? It's only fair because you know mine. She's silent,
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: She's silent, and then she says to Resend, like recent
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: come here.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: He looks.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: She's like, you know, she gave you the name Claire
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Beddell and you went and got Claire better. And Dalton
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: told me that's the girl that you saw. But look
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: at this one right here? Is this not the girl
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: that you saw at the Tamilin's matter and Reeson goes,
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: I don't I don't really pay attention to humans but
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: he has seen her twice. He saved her once at
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: fire night, looked her dead in the eyes and dead
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: in the face at Tamlin's manner. And he's a fairy.
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: He's a fucking beast. He doesn't forget faces right, just
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: because she's human. I reckon he's trying to protect her
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: from Ammorantha.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: That went over my head, to be honest. Yeah, it
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: was like a selfish prick. It didn't care.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Now I think he wants to fuck ah.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, yeah, I don't know. I think that's a
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: great pickup.
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: And so uh yeah, basically that happened, and then she
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: like threatens to kill Loose or something, so she gives
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: her a name, and then chapter thirty six is she
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: does the first trial and it's.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Just like a massive worm with like a mouth with
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: heaps of fangs and teeth, and then there's like pooh
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: and mud on the ground.
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: Just yeah, she's she's like thrust into this big pit
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: with a worm and then it's like a maze kinder
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: and she has to Amarantha goes, I've been doing some
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: research on you. Apparently you're a huntress. She's like hunt
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: This's like, what do you mean I'm being hunted by it?
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: What's em?
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: And then the other reason I think that rec End
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: likes Fairah is because here's how halfway through the fight
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: with the worm, she realizes it's blind, and so then
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: she also realizes it's relying on smell and smelling her
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: human flesh.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Right do you reckon? What he says?
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: And so he she she puts all the mud and
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: worm feces all over her because that's going to make
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: her invisible. And one of the fairies watching, like a
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: bunch of fairies are watching this because they don't care
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: about fairy they wanted to die.
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: They they're cheering and they're like, oh, what's she doing?
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: And Resen goes, she's making herself invisible, and he's like impressed, right,
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: And so I was like, okay, okay, well I.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Still was taking out. He didn't give a fuck, Like
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: he's like, obviously that's what she's doing.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: And then she goes and she kills the worm, passes
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: the first trial. She gets taken back up to the
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: Amarantha's feet and she was like a like, I don't know,
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: I must have said well done or something.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: And then she goes everyone in.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: My court lost a lot of money on you tonight
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: because they were making bets on her life. A lot
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: of people bet that you weren't going to last thirty seconds.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: Some said you'd last five minutes. Every single person, like
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: every single fairy in my court, apart from one, bet
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: on you dying, and then the chapter, and it's obvious
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: that Recind was the only one that better on her
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: not die.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: I thought it was Lootian.
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: No, Lucian is not part of her court, is part
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: of the Spring Court, so part of her under the
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Mountain Court.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: I thought it was just everyone there.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so and and and and recent is actually
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: a high lord of the Night Court, but he is
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: basically Amarantha's bitch. He is a member of the fucking
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: under the Mountain Court. And she says every single fairy
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: in my court, it's better on your dying, except for one.
- 1:15:28Speaker 2: And it ended and it's obviously recent.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Okay, okay, what do you think it's a good pickup?
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: I just when I was reading that, I just assumed
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: it was Lucian because I thought it didn't Lucian come
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: from her court. No, he's from the Autumn Court. I
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: don't know that just went over my head. But that
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I'm sure we're going
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: to find out very soon that it's Lucian. Yeah, I
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: mean that is recent. Yeah. Okay, so we have to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: finish the book.
- 1:15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm so. I'm gonna finish it tonight, bro.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: But we have predictions, final predictions, and kind of lucky
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: we only did so in chapters.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: Then we did fifteen chapters last week and spoke for
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: the same amount of time. Yeah, And we did seven
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: chapters the week just gone now and we spoke for
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: the same much.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I'm loving your recapability. I couldn't do it as good
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: as you. I do.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: Remember I've been last I was editing the clip for
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: the last week's and I was like, I did the talking.
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: I felt bad or what.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: About I don't care? What about? Whenever you watch a
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: TV show or anything like that, you and Star Wars
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: are you and anything the background like story, you really
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: get invested in. It's like in your blood, which I
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: really like. And I normally ask you for questions and
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: you just to see things in care a lot water me.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: So it's good for you to recap and I love
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: turn and Out.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: I like it.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: My brain runs with shit, it's really you. So I
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: like it. I think it comes across as a good listen,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: all right, if everyone doesn't mind me taking taking these over,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: then I don't mind doing it. But I do feel bad.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: I was like, fuck, talk next.
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: I don't care. But predictions, predictions, predictions, How does it end?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: So she's obviously got two more trials left.
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: Okay, Fay obviously stays a life because one thing that's
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: been spored for us is that we know her character
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: development gets good in the next book, So.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: That's yeah, Okay, she she's going to become a queen somehow?
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: Whoa oddie? What?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: She is?
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: And I'm definitely not saying that because I read the
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: comments and someone said something about her being her queen.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: But I don't know how, and I don't know how
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: she's gonna win. Does she win Tamlin back, that's a question. Okay,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: m you think there's gonna be some fucking threesome going on?
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: Now, I think there's a love triangle.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: But also you know what I actually do think, but
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: reasons her is Amarantha's bitch, and you think she's going
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: to choose Frerah over her, I.
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: Think, well, I think The only reason Recent is Amarantha's
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: bitch is because he's scared and likes having freedom because
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: he's one of the high lords power stripped. But I
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: think she must be giving him a little bit more power.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Okay, So Freya is going to realize that Tamilin's love
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: has been a lie, he's been doing it for the
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: wrong reasons. But she's still going to want to save
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: him because he's a good bloke. And then she's going
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: to save him beat the challenges. But then she's going
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: to fall in love with Recent and they're going to
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: betray Amarantha somehow, and she's going to become queen of
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: something wow.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: With the night Court with Recent reason woll Okay, for
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: some reason, I think Tamlin dies.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: You reckon? Not I reckon? They save him and like
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: he's just not he's just like a part of the story.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I also do genuinely believe that he is going to
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: become a sidecarch. Yes, so do all right, But does
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: Amarantha die or does her power? Does her power get
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: stripped like she's stripped from the other high lords. Yeah,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: so she stripped the power, but part of the curse
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: was she's not allowed to use it. There's what they
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: told the riddle for some reason, like that's going to
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: play a part in something. Oh, the riddle is going
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: to click soon and I can't think of it neither.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: So the riddle, I don't know. And also the fact
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: of like the wording of the challenges, he's going to
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: play a part somehow, And I think, well, I don't
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: know quite. I have no idea.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Okay, I think the book is going to end with
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: the She's going to do one more challenge. She's going
- 1:19:12Speaker 2: to be in her cell and have some sort of
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: conversation with resand she's gonna save Tamlin. But she's going
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: to realize that he lied to her, basically using her
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: to save himself. And I think that the book is
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: going to end with us. You know, the book's going
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: to end with a twist.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: But that's some thinking, like is there actually not going
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: to be like a proper ending? Are we thinking there's
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: going to be an ending and there's just not like
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: because there's so many more books, is it just going
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: to be like yeah, like she's got the change the
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: last challenge to do the third challenge. It's a great
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: great break. Actually, don't know. Maybe we just need to
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: fucking read it.
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: I still, I still genuinely believe Recent and Fair are
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: going to get together.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: You're you've sold me on it with all your pickups,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: to be honest, and I think what I said is
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: going to happen. Yeah, so no, you know, wait, yeah
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: you said she's going to realize that Tamlin's love wasn't real,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: and then she reason's going to try and like fall
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: in love with her, and then those two are gonna
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: beat Amarantha and she's going to become the queen of something.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Okay, I love it.
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: No.
- 1:20:18Speaker 2: I like that He's gonna Reson, is going to give
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: favor power.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, she's going to become a fairy. I love that.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: Tamlin's gonna be jealous.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Mate, Tamlin's not going to even exist anymore. But I
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: want Lucian to do something cool too. In there, we
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: didn't say.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: I love Lucia. I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: I love why she not killed him? Like, why is
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: she floating around?
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: She gave Lucian she so she still wants like Tamlin
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: is refusing to be Amarantha's lover. Yeah, and one of
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: the things to try and coax me into doing it
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: was giving Lucian some of his power back, because Lucian
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: used to have power and he's a high fae, and
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: she gave some of his power back. That's why he
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: could heal a little bit from her broken nose. And yeah,
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: still I just think that she just doesn't see him
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: as a threat at all, you know.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: What I mean. Maybe he plays a big part because
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: no one sees him as a threat.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: That would really I would love that.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Imagine she focks Lucian instead of reason.
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: Honestly, have a freaking way. I'll leave it at that. Yeah,
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: we can talk for als. Okay, guys, that was a
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: good episode.

- 1:21:35Speaker 1: great time, mate. We've been having some fun with the
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: lengths of these episodes.
