- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Live from the WOR LifeVac Studios. Hey, let's take some calls.
- 0:11Speaker 2: 800-321-0710 is the number. 800-321-0710. Let's go to Bob in
- 0:17Speaker 2: New Rochelle. Bob, how you doing?
- 0:18Speaker 3: I'm good, Mark. Yourself?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Let me check. Let me check. Very good.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I just wanted to check in and see how you're
- 0:26Speaker 3: doing on that grueling 15-hour work week.
- 0:30Speaker 2: It's the getting up early. I got used to doing
- 0:32Speaker 2: three hours of talking. It's the getting up early that's
- 0:35Speaker 2: killing me. It's more than a 15-hour work week.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I know.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I know it's a lot of prep.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I call for another reason. I might need you to
- 0:42Speaker 3: talk me off the ledge here. All this socialism, communist crap,
- 0:47Speaker 3: it seems like it's gaining some traction. Where do you
- 0:49Speaker 3: think we're.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Going to be?
- 0:50Speaker 4: If Trump loses.
- 0:52Speaker 3: The midterms, he'll be a lame duck, and whoever the
- 0:55Speaker 3: Republican candidate doesn't win after that, I think we're in
- 0:58Speaker 3: a lot of trouble.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but remember, Trump is a lame duck. He's not
- 1:04Speaker 2: a lame duck. You know him. He's always finding a
- 1:07Speaker 2: fight back.
- 1:08Speaker 3: But when he's gone and out of office, I don't know.
- 1:10Speaker 3: He's one of a kind.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Yeah, well, that's the biggest problem. That is a big problem.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Excellent point, Bob. Thanks for calling. It's a big problem
- 1:18Speaker 2: for us. When Trump leaves, what the hell do we
- 1:24Speaker 2: do all day on the air? What do we talk about?
- 1:26Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember before Trump. It was June of 2015.
- 1:30Speaker 2: He came down that escalator. Before that, what were we
- 1:34Speaker 2: talking about? I don't remember. Did we talk about some
- 1:38Speaker 2: bill in Congress? What did we talk about? It's going
- 1:43Speaker 2: to be tough. You know, talk radio has boomed in
- 1:47Speaker 2: the last 10 years. I mean, our ratings are bigger
- 1:50Speaker 2: than ever. We've got more listeners. That's because of Trump.
- 1:53Speaker 2: I don't know what we're going to do without this guy.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Michael on the east side. Michael, how
- 1:58Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Good.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Michael.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Funny story.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Call us back. It's not you. It's the phone. It's
- 2:08Speaker 2: always that line six. That's always the one that does that.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Let's go to John in Westchester. John, how you doing?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm doing fine, Mark. It's great to talk to you.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I have two things. If Trump wants us to win,
- 2:22Speaker 1: what we have to do is annihilate Iraq. And I'll
- 2:25Speaker 1: tell you, after seeing a picture of on the post
- 2:29Speaker 1: of a man with what looks like his grandson on
- 2:31Speaker 1: his shoulder, Americans have to worry about their grandchildren because
- 2:35Speaker 1: this child will grow up hating Americans. That's number one.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Well, you're not wrong, but try to fit that on
- 2:41Speaker 2: a bumper sticker. It doesn't work. Anyway, what's number two?
- 2:45Speaker 1: Number two is James is a white hater. To put
- 2:48Speaker 1: her up there is a perfect move because she will
- 2:51Speaker 1: do everything she can to help herself and everything that
- 2:56Speaker 1: she does. She's a miserable person, and New Yorkers have
- 3:00Speaker 1: to wake up and get rid of this beast.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah, you can vote Letitia James out of office in November.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Vote for, oh, my God, what's her name? It's a
- 3:10Speaker 2: hard name to remember. The Republican candidate for attorney general
- 3:13Speaker 2: is very good, Camarita. Saritha Camarita, something like that. But
- 3:17Speaker 2: vote for her. Letitia James is just a political, partisan person.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Just an awful person, the last person in the world
- 3:26Speaker 2: you want with any legal power. In fact, one of
- 3:29Speaker 2: her prosecutors, somebody in her office, is now going public
- 3:34Speaker 2: saying that the ridiculous lawfare against Donald Trump, the fake
- 3:38Speaker 2: case they drummed up, there's confidential files that lay out
- 3:42Speaker 2: this fake, ridiculous scheme they had to go after Donald Trump.
- 3:46Speaker 2: And apparently, this guy is alleging, saying, but he worked
- 3:49Speaker 2: in her office. He's a former prosecutor. said that Letitia
- 3:53Speaker 2: James wanted him to destroy those confidential files and that
- 3:57Speaker 2: he refused to. And he's saying that she then threatened
- 4:00Speaker 2: him and kept threatening and menacing him, sending her investigators
- 4:04Speaker 2: to his house to bang on his door to demand
- 4:07Speaker 2: those files. But he is going public. So we'll see
- 4:11Speaker 2: where this story goes. Let's go to Pat in Scarsdale. Pat,
- 4:15Speaker 2: how are you doing? Very well, Mark.
- 4:17Speaker 5: I know you're an expert on many things, particularly rock
- 4:20Speaker 5: and roll. And Netflix now has this Eagles documentary out.
- 4:24Speaker 5: It's a two-part documentary. In your opinion, do you think
- 4:27Speaker 5: Don Felder was treated fairly by them?
- 4:29Speaker 2: I've got to be honest. I know this is, I'm
- 4:32Speaker 2: not supposed to say it. I've never been a big
- 4:34Speaker 2: Eagles fan. I mean, I know they got more hits.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Their Best Of album was like the number one bestseller.
- 4:41Speaker 2: More weeks at number one than any album in the
- 4:43Speaker 2: history of the world. I've never been that big. I
- 4:47Speaker 2: can't even tell them apart. They all look the same.
- 4:49Speaker 5: But this guy, he actually orchestrated Hotel California, their biggest song.
- 4:54Speaker 5: And then a few months later, they kick him out
- 4:56Speaker 5: of the band just because he wanted his fair share
- 4:59Speaker 5: of the receipts.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Who knows what goes on with these guys? But is
- 5:03Speaker 2: it just me? There was something about that Hotel California.
- 5:06Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I just couldn't. As a DJ, I loved it because
- 5:09Speaker 2: it was six and a half minutes. It gave you
- 5:11Speaker 2: a time to go to the little boys' room.
- 5:13Speaker 3: But....
- 5:15Speaker 2: I don't know, Witchy Woman, Take It Easy, I don't know.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I just wasn't an Eagles fan. One of these nights,
- 5:25Speaker 2: that was the only song I could actually listen to.
- 5:28Speaker 2: You're not supposed to say this. And if I went
- 5:31Speaker 2: down the hall to Q104, oh, my God, they'd go
- 5:33Speaker 2: crazy if I said it. Not an Eagles fan, just
- 5:36Speaker 2: never was. Let's go to John in Ronkakamo. John, how
- 5:40Speaker 2: are you doing?
- 5:42Speaker 4: Hey, Mark, good. Turned 63 today.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh, hang on. Let me see if the gift shop
- 5:47Speaker 2: is open. It's your birthday.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Hey, so the point I wanted to make is, isn't
- 5:56Speaker 4: it bad enough that we have MS Now and CNN
- 5:59Speaker 4: making all these liberals crazy? Now we have Tucker Carlson
- 6:03Speaker 4: turning people on our side crazy. I have more people
- 6:06Speaker 4: saying that. You know, Trump is in the Epstein files.
- 6:13Speaker 2: No, he's ridiculous. But it's nothing new. You always had
- 6:15Speaker 2: those kind of things. They were always there. Before, it
- 6:18Speaker 2: was Alex Jones. Tucker has decided he'll be the new
- 6:21Speaker 2: Alex Jones. He'll be the crazy. And believe it or not,
- 6:23Speaker 2: there's an audience for that stuff. They got him on
- 6:25Speaker 2: both sides, like really fringe, lunatic characters. That's what Tucker became.
- 6:30Speaker 2: It's kind of strange that he did that, but okay. Hey,
- 6:33Speaker 2: when we come back, The biggest guy ever in the
- 6:35Speaker 2: history of cable news. Bill O'Reilly will be with us next.
- 6:39Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about coming up on 710WOR.
