- 0:00SPEAKER_00: One more thing on the color thing we were just talking about, how colors are disappearing, and really they're associating it with uh the fact of we're afraid to express ourselves anymore.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, all of a sudden you're gonna get judged for being like, oh, she has a green couch.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: We just follow exactly what everything tells us on social.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: And everything that's spoon-fed to us.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: It takes me for me, you were mentioning house decor and things like that.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Makes sense.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, we all have different things.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: For me, it was cars.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: I remember it was not normal to see white cars as much.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: In fact, it used to be you'd see yellows, you'd see green greens.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: Can't stand an orange car, hate an orange car.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Reds, it's hard to find a red car anymore.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: Well, that's because everybody's getting pulled over for speeding.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: The colors were associated, but the the with that for a while.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: But the thing about it is, you used to see that Ford used to have teal.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: They used to have a lot of teal colored vehicles.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: My first car was a teal car.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: It was a hand-me-down from my mom to my brother, then to me.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but they were all there.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: And now you're like, well, it's white, it's silver, it's black.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: What you know what's shocking?
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And I actually told the guy this.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I was at the gas station, I don't know, a couple days ago.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: And the guy had uh he had a Subaru and it was a gorgeous blue.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: I was at Lowe's.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: That's where I was.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: And uh it's either a gas station or Lowe's or Sam's Club.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: You'll find me, it's not one of the three.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: So I uh I remember I actually made the comment to the guy as I was putting the cart away.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: I go, man, that's a really sharp blue.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: He goes, Yeah, man, that's the only way to go.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: I'm like, yeah.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: And so there, uh you do like, all right, I don't know that I would look good driving around in a yellow car.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe a Corvette.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: I think you would.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Maybe a yellow Corvette.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: See, take the leap, do it.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: But uh what by the Corvette?
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: That too.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: With your no money.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right, exactly.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: We're not getting paid until next Wednesday.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Uh, can we make that a federal law?
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: You're not allowed to go more than uh one weekend without a paycheck.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: I love the way that Zach gets paid.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Zach gets paid almost like us, but it's the 15th and then the last Friday of the month.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: So he's going, yes.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: He's getting a Friday.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we gotta make that a federal law.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: Quit screwing over people.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It's not just us.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of companies that do it our way, and it's like, oh, it's two weekends.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: I don't know anyone else that does it our way.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, two weeks.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: And it's been like this for years.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: You do realize for 20 years, every company that's owned us has been the exact same way.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: 15th and the last day of the month, and we're like, that's two weekends.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I used to work for uh the company is now called iHeart.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: I used to work for iHeart in Columbus, and it was the same.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: It seems like all broadcasting companies, it's this way.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: You work for uh healthcare?
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: No.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're paid weekly, yeah.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: I don't know that that would be good for me, but yeah, weekly?
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: No, me neither.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: I can't do that.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: 5072, but back to the color thing says you can't even buy an appliance in any color but stainless steel now.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, or white.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: You can still you can still get white.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: You can.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Did you want a green fridge?
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I could probably get you hooked up.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: We'll call Bob over at Fix Right Service.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: If you want black, costs you more money because I bought I bought a black one a few years ago.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: I remember that.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: And then the other thing that it's it's not even just that.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: You know, when you go into an estate sale and somebody has what you would say is a really ugly green or pink bathroom, something you can't do.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I bought a pink sink off of Facebook Marketplace and made my parents go pick it up.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: But you guys are are getting rid of color.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Whenever you buy a house, oh no, get rid of this green bathroom, get rid of this pink bathroom.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Um, I think you could be making a little money off of those things.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: I think, yeah, I would love to see some of the colors come back.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I mean too.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I it it just it used to be a little more vibrant on the roads.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, exactly.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Okay, let me give you another little update on something that, and I know we're not to the big three yet, but these are two really, really big stories.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: So before you go into work, I want you to know two things.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Number one, that Hayden Panetary before her death, which we found out yesterday, was a mixture of fentanyl and some other drugs.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: For me, that was just a confirmation.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: She was in rehab a couple weeks prior to her death.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: And then so I obviously we don't know what exactly happened just yet.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Uh the the night of her death.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: And then Harvey Weinstein, a story that we've been following for this is still alive?
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: This story has been going on for nine plus years now.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: So he was finally sentenced to 15 years in prison for now, he had some sort of assistant production director.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Let me make sure I get this detail right.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: Uh sexually assaulting, yes, his former production assistant back in 2006.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: Now that happened in 2006, but the legal battle's been going on for nine years.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: This battle's been going on forever, to the point that I forgot I forgot he was alive.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: Uh forgot he was alive.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Also, he was the one that really catapulted the Me Too movement.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: And those two things just happened in the past twenty four hours.
