  another week. I hope that this week has been a

  good one as you reflect on it, and that the weekend ahead can

  bring you a little bit more of the rest and restoration that us
• 0:36
  little old humans need on a regular basis.

  And Speaking of rest and restoration, it is Friday and we
• 0:43
  shall be reading a Psalm together.
• 0:46
  This is Psalm 99. That means that we are very,
• 0:50
  very nearly up to 100 psalms having shared together.
• 0:55
  Isn't that fantastic? But that's next week.

  Let's not get ahead of myself. Today we will read this Psalm,
• 1:02
  which is another Psalm of praise.
• 1:05
  This is the psalmist praising Yahweh as a holy king boy.
• 1:12
  This whole theme of kingship is certainly very dominant at the
• 1:16
  moment, no matter where we go. Yes, God is our king.
• 1:19
  And so we will cry out with this Psalm of praise to our king.

  Join me. Let's do this reading together.

  Crying out together. Psalm 99.

  The Lord is king. Let the nations tremble.
• 1:46
  He sits on his throne between the cherubim.
• 1:49
  Let the whole earth quake. The Lord sits in majesty in
• 1:54
  Jerusalem, exalted above all the nations.
• 1:58
  Let them praise your great and awesome name.

  Your name is Holy, mighty King, lover of justice.
• 2:10
  You have established fairness. You have acted with justice and
• 2:14
  righteousness throughout Israel. Exalt the Lord our God bow low
• 2:20
  before his feet, for he is holy. Moses and Aaron were among his
• 2:27
  priests. Samuel also called on his name.

  They cried to the Lord for help, and he answered them.
• 2:35
  He spoke to Israel from the pillar of cloud, and they
• 2:39
  followed the laws and decrees He gave them.
• 2:43
  Oh Lord our God, you answered them.
• 2:47
  You were a forgiving God to them, but you punished them when
• 2:52
  they went wrong. Exalt the Lord our God and
• 2:56
  worship at his holy mountain in Jerusalem.

  For the Lord our God is holy. What a cracker of a Psalm.

  We echo these words to you, our mighty King, our lover of
• 3:24
  justice. Thank you that you are a holy
• 3:28
  God, a just, fair and loving holy God, and a holy God who is
• 3:33
  so holy that no one can rightly enter your Presence, because no
• 3:38
  one is as holy as you are. And yet you have made this way
• 3:42
  for us to not only enter your presence once in a while at this
• 3:47
  holy mountain, to live in your loving, forgiving and merciful
• 3:53
  presence through Jesus. We thank You for the gift of
• 3:57
  Jesus. We thank you that you have made
• 4:01
  a way for us to be with you, and we just revel in Your presence,
• 4:07
  our wonderful, merciful, loving and just God.
• 4:13
  And we pray all of this in His precious saving name.
