  Speaker 1: I've said many times on this program, my brother's just

  Speaker 1: so cool.

  Speaker 2: He's always one of those cool guys.

  Speaker 1: Right, and he's thriving, and he's got a beautiful family.

  Speaker 1: And I asked him recently, I've gotten off a call
• 0:52
  Speaker 1: with the client and spirits, I call your brother and.

  Speaker 2: Ask him how he got so confident? And I've never
• 0:58
  Speaker 2: asked him, like.

  Speaker 1: If you know, from my perspective as a sister, not
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: his sister, who's a spiritual worker, who is an intuitive coach,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: but you know, in that dynamic, I'm just a sister, right,
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: you know. I just thought I've always saw him as
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: the swan, right, I have a perception of him that
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: he was just a swan but my brother shared with
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: me when I called Spirit inspired this question. I told him,
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: I said, you know, I just got with the client
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: and Spirit told me to call you and asked, how
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: are you so confident? And he's and my brother's a bro.
• 1:32
  Speaker 1: I'm not.
• 1:33
  Speaker 2: He's not super spiritual dude.
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: He's you know, he believes in God and he is
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: his own system of faith.
• 1:39
  Speaker 2: Uh and uh yeah, but he's a bro. He's still
• 1:43
  Speaker 2: a dude, you know.
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: And so he's like, uh, well, sister, he said, I
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: just decided to be confident.
• 1:53
  Speaker 2: I was like, well, what do you mean?
• 1:56
  Speaker 1: And you know he's but again, he's built this very
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: beautiful life for himself. You know, he's professionally, personally, cravely,
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: he's thriving again. And so I wasn't asking him though
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: about that because I'm just like, that's who you are, right.
• 2:14
  Speaker 2: That's just you're the swan. And so.
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: He says, you know, he says, when I was in
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: sixth grade and he named the friend I won't say
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: the friend's name.
• 2:30
  Speaker 2: Who was.
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: He was a cool guy, too, real cool guy even
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: in sixth grade. Yeah, all the ladies loved him, including me.
• 2:38
  Speaker 2: His friend said to.
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: Him, man, you have to be confident because nobody else
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: is going to give you this confidence. So I want
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: you to picture two black boys on a playground having
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: this conversation with themselves in the sixth grade, right, And
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, when my brother said this to.
• 2:56
  Speaker 2: Me, you know, returning back to the conversation we're having.

  Speaker 1: When he said this to me, I remember, all of
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: a sudden, the memories came back. I was like, oh,
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: you did used to be a quiet kid, you know,
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: always talented, but he used to be a quiet little kid.
• 3:13
  Speaker 2: He was not this you.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: Know swan, right, And so the way he became a
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: swan was he locked into he was going to be
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: confident in the sixth grade. And I kid you not
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: to the point where I don't even remember that old hymn.
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: That is who he became. He became this incredible athlete
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: of two sports, lettered, super strong, record breaking, this incredible artist,
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: you know, like truly not just somebody who doodles like
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: ap level artists in high school, went on to art school,
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: graduated with honors. This kid has dyslexia and he still
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: managed to graduate with honors, top of his class and
• 4:01
  Speaker 1: voted most admired in high school, runs this very successful business,
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: has this beautiful family. And where it all came from
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: was he decided in the sixth grade that he was
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: going to be confident. And I didn't know this about him,
• 4:18
  Speaker 1: and so I just thought that's who he was all
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: this time, like I had forgotten because he embodied that
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: energy so fully and so completely, I had forgotten about.
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: You know, I remembered, and I have an excellent memory.
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: I want to be clear, I have a very excellent memory,
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: so I remember things.
• 4:36
  Speaker 2: From that time.
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: I did not remember the shift because I wasn't looking
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: for it, right, because I just saw, you know, I
• 4:44
  Speaker 1: see him from this vantage point, right. But yeah, a
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: conversation on the playground in the sixth grade, two African
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: American men boys at the time, and one says to
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: the other man, you just need to decide to be confident,
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: and then that that invitation, because that's what it was
• 5:05
  Speaker 1: in that moment. My brother said yes, And that's how
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: he became this like swan, right, you know. And so
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: there is great power in deciding deciding to step into
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: your confidence, deciding that no matter what your past looks like,
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: no matter if you're awkward or uncertain or overlooked or
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: a member of a marginalized group. My brother is a
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: big black man in America, right in upper middle class
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: America too, on top.
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: Of it all. And never did I ever see him
• 5:39
  Speaker 2: that way. Never does he even have that conversation.
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: We're you know, we're both very aware we're black people
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: in America, you know, but in terms of limitation, not
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: a limitation around this man. And why because he decided
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: he was going to be confident. Not the accolades, not
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: everybody loves because everybody does love him.
• 6:01
  Speaker 2: Like I joke with this kids all the time.
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: They giggle because they're like and like, because your dad
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: is so cool, and you know, may giggle because they're like, yeah,
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: he is, Like everybody knows that, right, Not that m
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: none of the accolades. The way he was able to
• 6:17
  Speaker 1: be a vibrational match to all that he has done
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: in his life is because he decided he was going
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: to be confident.
• 6:27
  Speaker 2: So you don't have to be a star athlete. Your
• 6:29
  Speaker 2: life can be messy as how. You can be middle
• 6:32
  Speaker 2: age and just like what the fuck God every day.
• 6:36
  Speaker 1: And you can change the whole trajectory of your life
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: by deciding right now, as you're hearing my voice that
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: you are going to be confident, even if you've doubted
• 6:46
  Speaker 1: yourself for years. You can decide right now to be confident,
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: and when you do, everything.
• 6:54
  Speaker 2: Will flow from that place.
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: Everything will change, Your presence will change, the opportunity these
• 7:00
  Speaker 1: you show up for will change. And I don't want
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: you to just hear this and feel inspired for a moment.

  Speaker 1: I want you to activate this confidence activated. And here
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: are some ways you can do that. One you got
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: to decide and declare I'm confident. Find a mirror. Find
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: a mirror right now or later in the day, and
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: say I am confident. Look in your own eyes without judgment.
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: I am confident. I choose to be confident today and
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: speak it like you mean it, Feel it in your body,
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: let it resonate. See the golden light circulating around you,
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: right you know all of our meditations this golden light.
• 7:46
  Speaker 1: See that golden light around yourself as you declare to you,
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: I am confident. I choose to be confident today. Decide
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: it and declare it. And then you got to act
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: like that person. You got to take some bold action.
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: Because general wisdom in personal development, and it's the way
• 8:09
  Speaker 1: I've always taught confidence. Confidence grows through action. So I
• 8:15
  Speaker 1: want you to pick one small thing you can do
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: in the next twenty four hours that normally would scare
• 8:21
  Speaker 1: the Bejesus out of you, and I want you to
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: do it. That thing you've been avoiding. I want you
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: to do it. Speak up, send the message, show up,
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: fully take that action. And then this connects to a
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: show I've done already in this collection of shows I'm
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: doing right now about you got to stand in your
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: own validation.

  Speaker 2: One thing about my brother, you know, and I.

  Speaker 1: Went in and I asked him some additional details, and

  Speaker 1: I'm talking to you know, brother's sister, right, he doesn't
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: see failure. If something doesn't go the way he wants,
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: he sees it, he acknowledges it, he sees what shifts
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: he needs to make, and then he's like, oh, there's
• 8:59
  Speaker 1: no failing. Nothing is wrong. God, could you imagine living

  Speaker 1: that way. I was talking to another Glen about this yesterday.

  Speaker 1: I was telling her this story. I was going to
• 9:09
  Speaker 1: do this podcast because I sent an email to my
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: list a light version of this.

  Speaker 2: Podcast, and I was telling her he doesn't see failure.

  Speaker 1: She's like, what that what lightness that must be to
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: live from that perspective, doesn't see failure. M hm.

  Speaker 2: And so here it is.

  Speaker 1: I just thought, well, my brother's just successful and he
• 9:31
  Speaker 1: just attracts success, and that's who he is. He attracts
• 9:33
  Speaker 1: that success because he chooses to focus on success and
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: not failure. Right, he's not baring his head in the stand.
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: He acknowledges, you know, hey, this didn't you know?
• 9:42
  Speaker 2: It went the way it went. That's his attitude. It
• 9:45
  Speaker 2: went the way it went right. But he has always
• 9:49
  Speaker 2: validated himself.

  Speaker 1: I never see him sitting around saying, oh, hope people
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: choose my business. Oh, I'm going out on my own
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: invest in this equipment. I don't know it's gonna work.

  Speaker 2: Absolutely never.

  Speaker 1: I've never even even witnessed that vibration around him.

  Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it. That's his attitude.

  Speaker 2: I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it. And the

  Speaker 2: closest he's gotten he's like, well, what's the worst that
• 10:15
  Speaker 2: can happen? I can do it this way.

  Speaker 1: He has a plan like, oh, if this goes this
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: way this way, I know what I can do, and
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: let's do it.
• 10:21
  Speaker 2: Why not, right, that's his attitude.

  Speaker 1: Why not and they used to think it was because
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: you know, again because I'm his sister, I U suid

  Speaker 1: think it was because, well, you're cool, you know, you're

  Speaker 1: one of the cool kids. Of course the cool kids
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: can say stuff like that. No, it's because he chose
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: to see his world through that lens. And then when
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: you see your world through that lens, that's.

  Speaker 2: The way your life goes. Right.

  Speaker 1: I hope there's some woman, some human out there here

  Speaker 1: in me right now who's like, fuck, I am so

  Speaker 1: done with this thing I do with myself. I want

  Speaker 1: to start living that way. Yes, let's start living this way.

  Speaker 1: Let's just decide to be confident. Let's just decide, let's.

  Speaker 2: Decide we're enough.

  Speaker 1: Let's stop waiting for someone else to validate us. Let's
• 11:12
  Speaker 1: just acknowledge we've always been enough. But now we've locked
• 11:15
  Speaker 1: it in and we're gonna trust ourselves, and we're gonna
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: believe in ourselves, and we're gonna applaud ourselves, and we're
• 11:20
  Speaker 1: going to approve of ourselves, and we're not waiting for
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: somebody outside of.
• 11:24
  Speaker 2: Us to do it. Because here's the thing.

  Speaker 1: When you don't right, here's a perfect example of someone
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: who does not live that way, right, everyone literally applaud

  Speaker 1: you and trusts you and believes in you and approves
• 11:39
  Speaker 1: of you. They just do because you know, we talked
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: about the show in the Universal Laws. Whatever energy you hold,
• 11:49
  Speaker 1: a law of correspondence is what you will create. My

  Speaker 1: brother doesn't look out of the world and say, oh,
• 11:55
  Speaker 1: I need somebody to tell me I'm good at my job. No,
• 11:58
  Speaker 1: he didn't need somebody to tell me he was a
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: star athlete.

  Speaker 2: He just shows up. And so for those of us
• 12:07
  Speaker 2: who've been waiting for our cool kid.

  Speaker 1: Initiation, we've got to be the leader of that ceremony.

  Speaker 1: We got to make ourselves cool right now. We got

  Speaker 1: to decide we're going to be confident right now. So
