  the Prefontaine classic and give some of the thoughts and

  insights, as to what we thought about what happened that week,

  this weekend, When they get you have to start at the top of the

  winners under it. I mean like why you know, start
• 6:45
  with the bang and Elaine was Elaine.

  And I know like I think the the controversy here is, she carry,
• 6:54
  right? And I thought she carry around

  well, but she ran really well. And she beat some people that
• 7:00
  run really fast earlier this year.

  That's the most poised. I've seen her in a race where

  she wasn't winning from 60 to 100 and I think you know she had

  nothing else, she established herself in my mind.

  Anyway is the favorite to win the USA.

  USA job James. I too thought she carry

  actually. I mean I'm going to shut her to
• 7:26
  say this. She carry actually look like she

  has matured. As a sprinter, write it that

  race plan, wasn't how she had it going her head?

  I'm 100% sure. But, you know, it didn't, it

  wasn't the shutdown and pout and she beat some really good
• 7:44
  people. And, you know, I don't know if
• 7:48
  she can close the gap between her and Elaine, you know,
• 7:51
  between now and worlds. But let's just be clear.

  Any questions about who the best hunter?

  M printer, the best female Sprinter ever our day by day

  getting end. I mean, Elaine is at some point

  time, it's like, you win so much and you and you start to

  know, when she's run these things, we're getting the best

  version of Shelly-Ann and Shelly and can't be laying right now.

  Right. So that's just kind of says a

  lot and and the fact that she carry was I thought you looked

  pretty good and I mean, the takeaway from that is, you know,

  she looks like she could actually win a medal.

  I'm not saying she's going to, but at least she look like she

  could. Yeah, it's like it's I think you

  can look at a one or two ways, the question of who is actually

  ready now. Who's actually ready to compete

  at this level? At this point we're talking

  about last week of May, although the World Championships are

  earlier this year. So, you know, it was, it was

  very interesting to see, I mean, that field was loaded, right?

  I mean, there were multiple World Championship finalists in

  that race. And you know, for the all of

  them to line up, kudos to them, you know, I mean, at one point

  behind Elaine, you had that blanket there were about four or

  five of them, you know, coming to the line.

  I mean, that was a really good race is a very competitive race.

  And again, I Echo your sentiments as well for shikari
• 9:49
  to come out and pull second out. Kudos to her.

  I have too many varied thoughts about the women's hundred.

  Give props to all the ladies for lining up because we rarely get

  to see that kind of stuff happen, so that was cool.

  Listen Elaine is in a class by herself and there doesn't seem
• 10:24
  to be anybody on this planet that's going to do anything to

  challenge that anytime soon. So anybody that watched that and

  somehow were encouraged it, maybe Elaine is vulnerable.

  I do know where you're getting that from your insane.

  You're absolutely insane. It's Elaine's party and
• 10:42
  everybody else is kind of kicking it.

  Shelly is a clear number two right now.

  And so for me, the party is who's running for this this last

  metal that's available on the table because of the lane and

  Shelly are healthy. Sorry folks, it is what it is.

  Having said that I was cut, I was both.

  The race behind Elaine. I found in the moment to be
• 11:11
  relatively underwhelmed if I'm being honest.

  I also found it interesting and my issue with the whole security

  aspect of it is you know what the word was for security.

  It was professional and that's good.

  That is yes, she went out there and ran like a professional.

  He didn't patent quit. She competed through the line.

  She took her L like an adult, mmm.

  All good things. The problem is is that's where

  this whole Narrative is right now where we're going to give

  props like it's amazing for just being a professional and that's
• 11:52
  the sad part of it, right? Like that shouldn't be the
• 11:55
  standard so you know, say this that's fair.

  That's yeah. I mean like it's cool.

  So you know, I she should carry from a talent perspective has

  always been the odds-on favorite to win the women's US

  championships. So nothing has really changed.

  There if she's going to if she's gonna you know continue to carry

  yourself as a professional then I think everybody's on board and

  we should cheer lead that and that's dope but it's too low of
• 12:27
  a standard for me. I was happy to see it though.

  So here's a question I have and this is something that you know,

  I think that people are missing There's something wrong with the

  women's 100 in the USA. Oh yeah, I mean yeah.

  Yeah and if my she carried in who, yeah.

  Right. And so at some point in time is

  like I think people are wanting to ride that horse because

  that's the only horse they have. Like gives you think there's

  anybody in the u.s. we think can get a medal?

  I mean like okay let's let's look at the landscape of the

  women's 100 at the NCAA level, right?

  The majority of the about the major players.

  Our formers. All right.

  So it's going to continue. So, like, so who's going to be

  the person that can step up and do that?

  And so, I think that the reason why people get pushed, but look,

  we know our people, we like ghetto and she's just what she

  can be, right? So, the ghettos going to come

  out and people get behind that but also, you know, she's the

  only horse out that anybody really believes can break up the

  So you got a double-edged sword, it and again, I mean, don't get

  me wrong, I think that her being professional this week was

  awesome. It's a step in the right

  direction to watch her other competitors, and give them props

  was awesome. And I think that maturity will

  make her better down the line. But the bigger issue we have

  here folks is like, if she cured doesn't make it, we got issues.

  on that for a second because I think that's fair.

  But again, I think we all agree. I saw everybody not when I said

  it, if we put Elaine and Shelly away, and we agree that the race

  is ultimately, Only for the last Podium spot.

  I think there's a handful of Americans who are talented

  enough and race. Well enough to beat Sharika

  Jackson because that's the third Jamaican.

  So okay, so I'm trying to figure out like, who these Americans

  are that are going to be well, okay, based on, based on their

  lifetime best. Here are the people that I think

  could do it. I wouldn't consider them favors

  to do it, but I think could do it.

  Should carry could do it. I think Tiana.

  Daniels can do it. I think TT can do it.

  I don't know what the plans for the Collegiates are so I'll

  leave them off the table, right? You would I would think that I

  think they all are trying to make the team, right?

  I think I think Cambria Sturgis could do it.

  You know, okay, so let's pause right there.

  I think, I don't think I know that everybody on this panel,

  with the exception of big league has been heavily involved at the

  And at the international level pebes mean absolutely nothing.

  So so you're talking about people beating her and happy

  when you talk about having you made a team.

  And this is the woman, that's the Olympic bronze medalist.

  So what I'm saying to you is that like we have to be

  realistic here, the only person needs to name this made a team

  is Tiana days. Oh, and actually that for me,

  that's that's the, that's the odds-on favorite.

  Like, I could totally see you scenario where Tiana where

  shaqiri wins USA's, but Tiana is the top American at Worlds,

  Christian, that's an egg that that, but she's six or seven

  that wolves or six or seven, that the Olympics, she's not.

  Fourth or fifth if she keeps getting better.

  You know like I said I ain't call it a favorite or anything.

  I'm just you know but well you know this has been a wonderful

  discussion but we were one event into Prefontaine.

  saw at Prefontaine was Michael Norman.

  But he's got to do it matters. We're past the point where we're

  impressed by a one-off race from Norman, he's got to do it when

  it matters but that version of Norman Winds of Goldman.

  I would say outside of Michael Norman's family, I probably have

  been the most long-standing member of Michael moment, fan

  club and I have been waiting to see.

  And, and I saw what I hoped is a glimpse of that in this race.

  But let me submit this by saying on are what I've said to all of

  he is legitimately at a Crossroads if he doesn't metal

  individually, I'm not even going to go so far as to say, it has

  to be gold, but if he doesn't metal individually, forget

  relays, this world championships.

  We met things may have passed him by not because he's old.

  But there becomes a mental hurdle when you're super
• 18:25
  talented and don't get it done. That becomes this monster in the

  room that none of us see. And so, I am rooting for with

  all my heart that a There is we end we have now ended any

  ambiguity about whether he runs the quarter and be that he
• 18:46
  doesn't go home and feel like he did something because he won pre
• 18:50
  and that he stays angry and humble, and shows the up and
• 18:54
  curb, Stomps everybody at US championships.

  And then does the Shish because there's more to do and then

  comes to world championship and faces because let's be clear,

  mr. Gardner is not freed.

  the world has been waiting to see the greatness that this man
