- 0:02Speaker 1: You're listening to this Spunky Spirit podcast where intuition meets
- 0:06Speaker 1: real life. Hello and welcome to this Spunky Spirit podcast.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I am your host, psychic medium Carrie Muggs. Now she
- 0:16Speaker 1: can see you. We have a different layout and I
- 0:18Speaker 1: think the light might be kind of glory if you're
- 0:20Speaker 1: watching this on video. I'm just trying to get this down.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That's why this week's podcast episode is kind of late
- 0:27Speaker 1: because I'm trying to figure out. I have new stuff
- 0:30Speaker 1: because I'm going to start having interviews and people coming
- 0:33Speaker 1: and so I have like all this new stuff that
- 0:35Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out. So it's been like lots
- 0:38Speaker 1: of different technical difficulties.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So please be patient with.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Me, and I just want to explain to you too.
- 0:45Speaker 1: So this is not to like get attention or anything
- 0:48Speaker 1: like that.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Button.
- 0:49Speaker 1: If you follow me, you know that I have a
- 0:50Speaker 1: little granddaughter who has some heart issues. She has tautology
- 0:54Speaker 1: of flow. She actually got life lighted two.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Primary children's this week. She is fine. Her heartbeat was
- 1:01Speaker 2: just a little fast and they were kind of worried
- 1:02Speaker 2: about it. She ended up just having a virus that.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Made her that made her heart beat a little fast,
- 1:09Speaker 1: so it was just kind of a scary moment.
- 1:11Speaker 2: So then we didn't get And I just.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Want to tell you a little story because this is
- 1:16Speaker 1: how my twenty twenty six has gone. And I know
- 1:20Speaker 1: from all the people who have emailed me, messaged me,
- 1:24Speaker 1: sent me stuff. I kind of feel like this is
- 1:25Speaker 1: a collective thing. It is like one thing after another.
- 1:29Speaker 1: It just feels like it's constantly. This is where you
- 1:33Speaker 1: like have to like go forward and keep moving and
- 1:37Speaker 1: do all that stuff. So I'm gonna tell you this
- 1:38Speaker 1: little story about my grand my grandkids, and I think
- 1:41Speaker 1: it'll be okay because my daughter in law doesn't care if.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I tell these stories about them. So this is my son.
- 1:48Speaker 2: This is my son's kids. He has three little girls, Nellie,
- 1:52Speaker 2: Scarly and Molly.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And some of you may know my son because he
- 1:56Speaker 1: is he does medical stuff where we're located and and
- 2:00Speaker 1: some of you, some of my clients have told me
- 2:01Speaker 1: that they go to him. So anyways, my daughter Luck
- 2:07Speaker 1: gets up, she takes Nelly to the to the er
- 2:10Speaker 1: because her heart because her her her lips are.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Blue and her hands are blue.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And that's a really scary sign for people, for little
- 2:17Speaker 1: kids who have teutology of Felow or have heart stuff.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So she takes her to the r and they're like, okay,
- 2:24Speaker 1: her heart rate is a little fast, So we're nervous
- 2:27Speaker 1: about this. So we're gonna get We're gonna fly lifelighter
- 2:30Speaker 1: to Primary Children's and so my daughter in law's like okay,
- 2:33Speaker 1: So she takes the kids. She takes Nellie and Scarly
- 2:36Speaker 1: to the neighbor's house and their neighbors are awesome, so
- 2:41Speaker 1: love their neighbors. And then she goes and packs her
- 2:45Speaker 1: stuff so she can drive down because my son has
- 2:48Speaker 1: appointments at his work that he has to he has
- 2:51Speaker 1: to continue to do so, and Nellie can only go
- 2:54Speaker 1: in the hot helicopter by herself with other people.
- 2:57Speaker 2: They can't have any family members.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Oh, my daughter in law packs her stuff, starts to
- 3:04Speaker 1: drive down, and my her mother goes and picks up
- 3:10Speaker 1: the girls from the neighbor's house, and then she takes
- 3:14Speaker 1: to her house where my son is going to pick
- 3:16Speaker 1: them up. They're gonna go home and pack and then
- 3:18Speaker 1: they're gonna leave the following morning to go to Primary
- 3:20Speaker 1: childres to go see Nellie. Now they were already planning
- 3:23Speaker 1: on doing this because Nellie. It was time for Nellie
- 3:26Speaker 1: to have her heart rate checked and all of that stuff,
- 3:29Speaker 1: but now they can't because she has a virus. So anyways,
- 3:34Speaker 1: as my as my my son's mother in law picks
- 3:38Speaker 1: up the girls, Scarly, who's a little it's just she's
- 3:44Speaker 1: just a little revel she said, come up, my tongue
- 3:48Speaker 1: is tingly. And then she like five minutes later she said, Emma,
- 3:53Speaker 1: my froat is scratchy, and so my mother, my sons.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I want to call her, but I don't want to
- 4:00Speaker 1: call her. I don't want I don't want to if
- 4:02Speaker 1: she for privacy protection. And she kind of gets a
- 4:07Speaker 1: clue in She's like, oh, Scarlet, did you have peanuts?
- 4:11Speaker 1: And Scarlet's like, yeah, I add two peanuts and step
- 4:17Speaker 1: Scarlely is allergic to peanuts. So and the neighbors probably
- 4:21Speaker 1: did not know or have no have any clue. So
- 4:24Speaker 1: then they proceed to take her to the er to
- 4:28Speaker 1: get so scar and.
- 4:30Speaker 2: They give her benda drill.
- 4:31Speaker 1: It's not funny, but this is how twenty twenty six
- 4:33Speaker 1: has been right. This is just like a synopsis.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Of twenty twenty six.
- 4:38Speaker 1: You are going to primary children's for one thing, and
- 4:41Speaker 1: then this thing happens. This has been my twenty twenty
- 4:44Speaker 1: six and from the sounds from you guys, this has
- 4:47Speaker 1: been your twenty twenty six. So anyways, Scarlet goes to
- 4:51Speaker 1: the er. They give her bena drill and she proceeds
- 4:54Speaker 1: to to ex vomit all of the get rid of
- 4:59Speaker 1: this peanuts our first system. And she goes home and
- 5:02Speaker 1: she's fine. So I go over to my son's house
- 5:05Speaker 1: that night to kind of just see if everything's okay,
- 5:07Speaker 1: make sure everything's good, and I said, Scarly, did.
- 5:10Speaker 2: You eat peanuts? She said, Gemma, I had two penits.
- 5:14Speaker 2: So it's like, honestly, it is like I know, at
- 5:18Speaker 2: the beginning of the year, I was like, this is
- 5:20Speaker 2: the fire Horse year.
- 5:22Speaker 1: This is like go forward, move forward, And it just
- 5:24Speaker 1: seems like every single time move forward, the fence is
- 5:29Speaker 1: in front of you and somebody douses the fire horse
- 5:32Speaker 1: with water. It just seems like it's a not stop thing.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And the thing that's so crazy is it's just not
- 5:38Speaker 1: little things. It's like we had a death in the family,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I had surgery, we had like and then this is
- 5:45Speaker 1: just like NonStop, constant, and so I finally just looked
- 5:49Speaker 1: at my husband the other dy I said, this is
- 5:51Speaker 1: you know, this is it.
- 5:52Speaker 2: This is our life.
- 5:53Speaker 1: We have to just get used to having this stuff
- 5:57Speaker 1: happen all the time. And I remember when we wore
- 6:00Speaker 1: when we were parents of all the teenagers. We had
- 6:04Speaker 1: seven kids that lived in our house, and I remember
- 6:06Speaker 1: sitting in the closet going when is it gonna get easier?
- 6:08Speaker 2: And He's just like, I think this is it. I
- 6:10Speaker 2: think this is our life.
- 6:14Speaker 1: So if you are out there feeling like your fire
- 6:17Speaker 1: horse has been drenched it stopped, please know that you
- 6:21Speaker 1: are not alone. Because I get emails all the time
- 6:24Speaker 1: and people are like nervous and scared and they're going
- 6:27Speaker 1: through a lot, and I know it's not funny, but
- 6:30Speaker 1: you kind of have to laugh at it, right Like
- 6:33Speaker 1: in the moment, we were not laughing that Scarly had peanuts.
- 6:36Speaker 1: We were not laughing that Nelly was going to Primary Children's.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But now that we look back at it, we're just like,
- 6:43Speaker 1: how else is it gonna be?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Right?
- 6:45Speaker 1: Like this is the starry And so anyways, I might
- 6:50Speaker 1: start like posting things like prayer circle for these people,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Prayer circle for these people, because some of the things
- 6:57Speaker 1: that I kind of got from letters and emails this
- 7:00Speaker 1: week are some pretty serious things. Too. I had, you know,
- 7:03Speaker 1: I'm not going to say any names, but I've had
- 7:06Speaker 1: people reach out because there's surgeries that they were scared
- 7:09Speaker 1: to go through this.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Week, and.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Life changing things that they went through, and kids sick
- 7:17Speaker 1: and people getting sick, and so just know, I mean
- 7:21Speaker 1: scary things, and just know that just because everybody else
- 7:26Speaker 1: is kind of going through it too, doesn't make yours
- 7:27Speaker 1: more less. Like when we get to the other side,
- 7:30Speaker 1: we will see how even.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It actually is through everybody.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But sometimes you look at other people's stuff and you're like, wow,
- 7:39Speaker 1: that's that's easy compared to mind, but it's really not.
- 7:42Speaker 1: We each have our own like level or capacity that
- 7:45Speaker 1: we can have trauma or that we can have certain things.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So just know that everybody's is different.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And just because you.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Might not be having surgery or you might not be
- 7:57Speaker 1: having life altering changes, if you're having a difficult time
- 8:02Speaker 1: with depression, that's just as valid. Like Martin Short lost
- 8:06Speaker 1: his son, I think it was always his daughter. I
- 8:09Speaker 1: can't remember one of his children from depression, and he
- 8:13Speaker 1: said that he feels like depression is just as important
- 8:16Speaker 1: as a sickness, says cancer, because some people survive it
- 8:19Speaker 1: and some people don't. And so whatever it is you're
- 8:22Speaker 1: going through, know that your ancestors and your loved ones
- 8:25Speaker 1: are with you and your.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Guides and you are not alone. Even though you feel alone,
- 8:32Speaker 2: you're not alone. And I know in.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Today's society it can be hard because when you need
- 8:36Speaker 1: to vent to somebody or when you need to go
- 8:37Speaker 1: to somebody, you don't want to drain their energy because
- 8:39Speaker 1: it just seems like everybody's going through it, right, everybody's
- 8:42Speaker 1: going through it. So I guess mostly, just know that
- 8:46Speaker 1: you're not alone. We're all in this together. And if
- 8:50Speaker 1: you know, if you can't, I mean sometimes you just
- 8:53Speaker 1: got to laugh because that's the only way you can
- 8:56Speaker 1: get through it.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And just know that that's okay. It's okay.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It doesn't mean it's less. Like some people feel bad
- 9:04Speaker 1: that they feel joy right now because of everything that's
- 9:06Speaker 1: going on in the world.
- 9:07Speaker 2: But that's okay.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You have to feel the joy, like you have to
- 9:10Speaker 1: have the balance right there comes joy.
- 9:12Speaker 2: You have to know good to know bad.
- 9:14Speaker 1: And so just know that it's okay and you're not broken,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and it's it's fine, and know that you're loved. So
- 9:22Speaker 1: today's podcast is actually going to be about unconditional love
- 9:28Speaker 1: and forgiveness and being a doormat.
- 9:32Speaker 2: So in my spiritual.
- 9:36Speaker 1: In my spiritual journey, the one thing I've had the
- 9:40Speaker 1: most problem with, or the most the hardest time with,
- 9:46Speaker 1: is when you're supposed to be christ Like and you're
- 9:51Speaker 1: supposed to be like so forgiving and so I don't
- 9:58Speaker 1: know how to explain it, like love and light all
- 10:01Speaker 1: the things, and in reality, hold on one second, I
- 10:08Speaker 1: feel like this is not recording. Okay, yes it is. Okay,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'll probably get that out or we'll just see how
- 10:22Speaker 1: that goes.
- 10:23Speaker 2: So we kind of feel like.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Love and light and forgiveness and it doesn't mean unconditional
- 10:32Speaker 1: love because I thought at the beginning that unconditional love
- 10:37Speaker 1: meant that I had to be a doormat and I
- 10:42Speaker 1: had to like let everybody walk all over me. I
- 10:45Speaker 1: couldn't say no to things I couldn't And a lot
- 10:47Speaker 1: of that, too, was part of the religion I was in.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I'm just gonna be straight up.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Honest, and a lot of that was too was how
- 10:53Speaker 1: I was brought up. I was brought up there's fond
- 10:56Speaker 1: flight or freeze, there's fight or flight, freeze and fun.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And I grew up in a household where I would fun,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I would be a people pleaser.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I would make everybody.
- 11:07Speaker 1: And that's part of why I think feel like my
- 11:11Speaker 1: abilities are so strong, is because everybody has these abilities,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but I constantly use them when I was little, because
- 11:17Speaker 1: I would fan, I would make sure everybody was okay.
- 11:20Speaker 1: I would try and keep the peace. I would make
- 11:22Speaker 1: sure nobody was mad at me. I would kind of
- 11:25Speaker 1: try and read the household or the people because I
- 11:27Speaker 1: didn't know what was going on over here, and.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I always wanted to stay safe.
- 11:31Speaker 1: So I'd constantly read the room, constantly read the room,
- 11:34Speaker 1: and so it kind of made me a people pleaser
- 11:37Speaker 1: and a doormat.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And then I feel like.
- 11:40Speaker 1: The religion I went into too also, you can't say
- 11:43Speaker 1: no to certain positions in.
- 11:46Speaker 2: The realm, or you can't.
- 11:48Speaker 1: You have to be christ Light, you have to be forgiving,
- 11:50Speaker 1: you have to forgive everything, and it kind of just
- 11:53Speaker 1: made it so you were a constant doormat.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I was a constant doormat.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I let everybody just kind of walk all over me,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and I didn't want to any confrontation. And now now
- 12:02Speaker 1: that I'm going through my healing, and now that I'm
- 12:04Speaker 1: kind of like going to counseling.
- 12:07Speaker 2: It's and I'm trying to do my healing. It's that
- 12:09Speaker 2: was the heart.
- 12:10Speaker 1: That's the hardest thing for me is the all unconditional
- 12:13Speaker 1: love for everybody and also being a doormat. And then
- 12:16Speaker 1: also too, it makes my anger come out. So if
- 12:19Speaker 1: you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you can see
- 12:22Speaker 1: some of my little bitchy posts about being angry or
- 12:25Speaker 1: being and it's just because for so long I let
- 12:29Speaker 1: people walk all over me that I have this like
- 12:31Speaker 1: kind of anger. And I feel like a lot of
- 12:34Speaker 1: gen X women that are going through paramidopause are doing
- 12:37Speaker 1: the same.
- 12:37Speaker 2: We're just kind of like, holy crap.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Like we don't have to let every you know what
- 12:41Speaker 1: I mean, because we were always like trying to anyways.
- 12:43Speaker 2: And that's that's a generation.
- 12:45Speaker 1: That's a general that's like, but a lot of people
- 12:47Speaker 1: could be going through that that kind of anger face
- 12:49Speaker 1: and anger is okay because anger is telling you that
- 12:53Speaker 1: something you realize something wasn't fair, or that something didn't
- 12:57Speaker 1: that you weren't a doormat, So so angers okay. Now
- 13:04Speaker 1: I want to love people deeply, and I feel like
- 13:06Speaker 1: I do, but I also feel like I want to
- 13:08Speaker 1: do that without abandoning myself in the process, and because
- 13:13Speaker 1: somewhere along the way, many of us were taught to
- 13:15Speaker 1: just you know, being loving means tolerating bad behavior, over
- 13:20Speaker 1: explaining ourselves, which I do all the time, constantly, forgiving,
- 13:24Speaker 1: constantly giving, constantly understanding, being constantly understanding, and letting people
- 13:30Speaker 1: repeatedly drain our energy because love is unconditional, but spirit
- 13:35Speaker 1: is really being like kind of showing me that love
- 13:37Speaker 1: can be unconditional. But it doesn't mean you have unconditional access.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It doesn't mean people have access to me all the time.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And I think that that realization changes everything. You can
- 13:50Speaker 1: send people love, and you can forgive people from a distance,
- 13:53Speaker 1: and forgiving somebody doesn't mean you have to invite well
- 13:56Speaker 1: for dinner. Forgiving just means that they that you can
- 14:00Speaker 1: and forgive and kind of push them and love them
- 14:02Speaker 1: from a distance. But they don't have to come over
- 14:04Speaker 1: to your house all the time. You don't have to
- 14:06Speaker 1: allow them and to come over. You can even and
- 14:10Speaker 1: I dare say this, but I have a hard time
- 14:12Speaker 1: with it because you can even cut contact. But I
- 14:15Speaker 1: have a hard time with that too, because where's that's
- 14:20Speaker 1: another kind of definition where estrangement is.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Kind of a coward leeway to get.
- 14:28Speaker 1: In. But if you can continually tell people this is
- 14:32Speaker 1: not how I want to be treated, this is not
- 14:34Speaker 1: how I want to be treated, and they keep walking
- 14:36Speaker 1: all over that and they don't, then you can be like, Okay,
- 14:39Speaker 1: we don't want to see you anymore. But if you
- 14:42Speaker 1: don't allow somebody to have that chance to treat you better,
- 14:46Speaker 1: then that's kind of coward. Then you're taking the coward's
- 14:49Speaker 1: way out because you're not facing you're not having confrontation
- 14:53Speaker 1: with this person and saying I don't like it when
- 14:55Speaker 1: you do this, and I don't like it when you
- 14:56Speaker 1: do this. I don't want to be treated that way.
- 14:59Speaker 1: And sometimes too, that's where it's really hard, because they
- 15:02Speaker 1: have boundaries too, right, So if you're asking them to
- 15:05Speaker 1: be somebody that they're not, then you just realize you
- 15:08Speaker 1: just don't get along and maybe contact with each other
- 15:12Speaker 1: isn't such a great thing.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And so that's where that kind of lies.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I mean, so this, this is what I have a
- 15:18Speaker 1: hard time with, the unconditional love and the unconditional access
- 15:22Speaker 1: and the boundaries thing because but I'm learning, I'm learning, right,
- 15:26Speaker 1: because I do have boundaries around certain people, and I
- 15:30Speaker 1: expect to be is treated a certain way and if
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'm not, then I will kind of like not have
- 15:36Speaker 1: contact with that person as much anymore. And so but
- 15:40Speaker 1: if I don't tell them, you know, I don't like
- 15:42Speaker 1: the way that you do this, I don't give them
- 15:44Speaker 1: that chance to change maybe that they want to change
- 15:46Speaker 1: that because I maybe they want that relationship, and then
- 15:49Speaker 1: a relationship is is important to them. This is all
- 15:52Speaker 1: a big counseling thing, but I just want you to
- 15:54Speaker 1: know mostly that it is okay to not be a doormat.
- 15:59Speaker 1: It does not mean I mean it is okay too.
- 16:02Speaker 1: You can still love unconditionally and not lose yourself within that,
- 16:07Speaker 1: not lose who you are. So I think highly sensitive
- 16:11Speaker 1: people often feel everybody else's emotions, right, we feel all
- 16:16Speaker 1: the things all the time. We can feel pain, We
- 16:18Speaker 1: can feel pain behind the anger, we can feel trauma
- 16:20Speaker 1: behind the meanness, and we can feel insecurity behind the control.
- 16:24Speaker 1: And so we get it or we understand it, and
- 16:27Speaker 1: so we think, sorry, just jot Michael, well they had
- 16:33Speaker 1: a chart, they had a hard childhood, or well they
- 16:36Speaker 1: had their hurting and they didn't mean it.
- 16:39Speaker 2: And sometimes that's true, and sometimes we can let.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That be, but sometimes they take advantage and it's manipulating
- 16:47Speaker 1: and it's a little bit harder.
- 16:50Speaker 2: And so so.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Understanding someone's wound does not mean you must volunteer do
- 16:56Speaker 1: become their emotional landing post because you have your energy
- 17:01Speaker 1: to and it can be draining and so that makes
- 17:05Speaker 1: it really hard, right, And so sometimes I have notes
- 17:11Speaker 1: just a case because I needed it. Yeah, that's why
- 17:14Speaker 1: so many in basket confused, and that's why I was confused.
- 17:18Speaker 1: We think compassion means self sacrifice, and we're taught that
- 17:21Speaker 1: in some religions we need to sacrifice.
- 17:23Speaker 2: What we want to do. Even like even when.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I was doing Beach Body, Like if you're a beach
- 17:28Speaker 1: Body coach, I but even when I was doing Beach Body,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I have no ill will, but they would always tell you,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know, ignoring your family now and work really hard
- 17:39Speaker 1: and so then you can be like, have all this
- 17:42Speaker 1: money and be with your family in the end this
- 17:44Speaker 1: sacrifice now. But what I ended up doing is sacrificing
- 17:47Speaker 1: my kids the time with my kids to try and
- 17:50Speaker 1: do that, and it didn't pan out the other way, Like,
- 17:53Speaker 1: so I just like missed out when there should have
- 17:56Speaker 1: been a balance. There should have been some sort of balance, right,
- 17:59Speaker 1: There should been family time, All of it should have
- 18:04Speaker 1: been a balance and not just primarily beach body, beach body,
- 18:08Speaker 1: beach body. And so that was kind of hard for
- 18:11Speaker 1: me too, because I thought I was doing the right
- 18:12Speaker 1: thing and I did make, you know, pretty good money
- 18:15Speaker 1: doing it, but not enough to like now I look
- 18:17Speaker 1: back and.
- 18:18Speaker 2: It wasn't worth the sacrifice that I made.
- 18:20Speaker 1: It wasn't worth the sacrifice of my spend of my
- 18:23Speaker 1: kids's time.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So we think compassion.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Spirit keeps showing me that compassion without boundaries becomes self abandonment.
- 18:32Speaker 1: So when we do that, we abandon who we are,
- 18:35Speaker 1: We abandon our authenticity.
- 18:37Speaker 2: We don't we just it's self abandonment.
- 18:41Speaker 1: It is because honestly, it used to be back in
- 18:44Speaker 1: the day that everybody wanted all the money, they wanted
- 18:47Speaker 1: the power they and now it's just like we want
- 18:48Speaker 1: to live in a cabin And I'm just speaking for me,
- 18:51Speaker 1: but I want to live in a cabin on some
- 18:53Speaker 1: land and be at peace. That's kind of what I want.
- 18:56Speaker 1: But you need money to do that, right, So the
- 19:00Speaker 1: difference between love and enabling is this was a huge
- 19:04Speaker 1: lesson for me because I used to think if I
- 19:06Speaker 1: pull away, I'm being in loving. If I set these boundaries,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I'm a bad mom. That was a huge thing for me.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I didn't want to be a bad mom. And sometimes
- 19:15Speaker 1: the most loving thing you can do is stop participating
- 19:18Speaker 1: in unhealthy patterns because you can, and it makes you
- 19:22Speaker 1: a better mom, It makes you a better person, It
- 19:24Speaker 1: makes you better at everything. You can love someone and
- 19:28Speaker 1: still say you may not speak to me in that way.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I can't carry this for you anymore. I forgive you,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but I need distance. I wish you healing, but I
- 19:38Speaker 1: cannot let you keep hurting me. That's not hate, that's wisdom,
- 19:44Speaker 1: and that is you not abandoning yourself. That is you
- 19:48Speaker 1: staying true to who you are. So and honestly, I
- 19:51Speaker 1: think a spirit in the universe, Gus, whatever word resonates
- 19:56Speaker 1: with you, understands boundaries better than most humans.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Because boundaries aren't to keep people away, there to protect you.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And I keep saying that that fencing around you isn't
- 20:05Speaker 1: to keep people out, it's to protect you. Nature itself
- 20:09Speaker 1: has boundaries. The ocean has the shores, and the body
- 20:13Speaker 1: has the skin, and energy fields have edges.
- 20:18Speaker 2: So our aura has edges.
- 20:19Speaker 1: That's like our aura, it protects our energy and our
- 20:22Speaker 1: body boundaries are natural, but we're taught that we feel
- 20:27Speaker 1: uncomfortable doing, especially if we're impassed or especially we've been
- 20:30Speaker 1: taught that way. And so then that's when love turns
- 20:34Speaker 1: to resentment. And one thing I've noticed is that when
- 20:39Speaker 1: I continually override my intuition about people, then I start
- 20:44Speaker 1: to resent. I start to resent myself, I start to
- 20:46Speaker 1: resent them. And it's often a sign that our soul
- 20:50Speaker 1: has been ignored for too long.
- 20:52Speaker 2: We've ignored ourselves.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Not that other people have ignored us, but we've ignored
- 20:56Speaker 1: ours are what feeds us or what helps us. And
- 21:00Speaker 1: because we've always been putting other people first. So not
- 21:04Speaker 1: because we're bad people, but because deep down we know
- 21:07Speaker 1: this dynamic is costing me my peace.
- 21:11Speaker 2: And my big thing for twenty.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Twenty six is peace over performance. I just want it
- 21:16Speaker 1: to be peaceful. I just wanted to be healthy. I
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know, sometimes just I've realized when I go go, go,
- 21:23Speaker 1: go go, it puts me in this higher stress level,
- 21:26Speaker 1: it puts me in fun flight or freeze, and I'm
- 21:30Speaker 1: not in my in I'm not in my safe zone,
- 21:33Speaker 1: and it really disrupts my vagus nerve, and that disrupts
- 21:38Speaker 1: my intuition. And so I've really got to find peace
- 21:42Speaker 1: in this, not anxiety, not always being in a fear.
- 21:45Speaker 1: And so I think, you know, when many people are
- 21:50Speaker 1: raised to prioritize harmony over honesty, then we become resentful
- 21:56Speaker 1: and the body starts to not be authentic, and then
- 22:00Speaker 1: the body starts to have exhaustion and anxiety, emotional overwhelm, innerability,
- 22:06Speaker 1: and even like it even can cause physical systems, which
- 22:09Speaker 1: is our illnesses, and.
- 22:10Speaker 2: The body keep score of what the soul keeps tolerating.
- 22:14Speaker 1: And so if you rea have read The Body Keep Score,
- 22:18Speaker 1: that is such a good book. That's where I've kind
- 22:24Speaker 1: of realized.
- 22:25Speaker 2: That's where I.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Started a lot of my healing is when I realized
- 22:28Speaker 1: that a lot of my trauma is kept inside. And
- 22:30Speaker 1: I still do a lot of things that I do
- 22:32Speaker 1: because of the way I was raised, because I was
- 22:35Speaker 1: always in fun. And so I think if spirit were
- 22:39Speaker 1: completely honest, if Spirit were honest, I think I'm going
- 22:41Speaker 1: to start doing my segments on that you would be
- 22:45Speaker 1: allowed to be loving. You are allowed to be loving
- 22:49Speaker 1: and discerning at the same time. It doesn't mean you're judgmental.
- 22:52Speaker 1: It just means you're protecting your peace. You are allowed
- 22:55Speaker 1: to stop over explaining your boundaries to people committed to
- 22:58Speaker 1: misunderstanding them. You are allowed to protect your nervous system.
- 23:03Speaker 1: And that's the vagus nerve, that's where that is. And
- 23:05Speaker 1: if you want to take my Intuition class online June eighteenth,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I teach all about that. I taught that in my
- 23:12Speaker 1: personal class in person last month. It was an amazing class,
- 23:16Speaker 1: and so I had a lot of people reach out
- 23:18Speaker 1: say they want to take it online, So I'm making
- 23:20Speaker 1: it available online June eighteenth. You can go to my
- 23:22Speaker 1: website under events and find it there if you want
- 23:26Speaker 1: to take that class. Because I talk about this, I
- 23:28Speaker 1: talk about your intuition, and I talk about your nervous system,
- 23:31Speaker 1: and I talk about flight or fleez and I talk
- 23:33Speaker 1: about all of this stuff to help you, because honestly,
- 23:36Speaker 1: when you're always in a constant fight, flight or freeze
- 23:39Speaker 1: state or fun it's hard to listen.
- 23:42Speaker 2: To your intuition. It really really is. And so.
- 23:47Speaker 1: You're allowed to leave rooms that constantly wound you, or
- 23:51Speaker 1: places or spaces you can't heal in those places. And
- 23:54Speaker 1: you're allowed to choose peace. And honestly, not everyone deserves front.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Row access to your energy. They don't.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And I learned that the hard way. Not everybody allows
- 24:04Speaker 1: is allowed to be in your front row. You need
- 24:08Speaker 1: to be careful about who you allow in your front row,
- 24:10Speaker 1: because sometimes they're not all great. I'm just gonna say
- 24:17Speaker 1: that that doesn't make you cold, and it doesn't make
- 24:20Speaker 1: you mean. It just makes you human, and it makes
- 24:22Speaker 1: you authentic, and it makes you who you are. And
- 24:27Speaker 1: I mean, you could still be giving and you can
- 24:28Speaker 1: still be loving, but not like a doormat right. What
- 24:33Speaker 1: healthy love actually looks like is healthy love feels safe
- 24:37Speaker 1: and it's not perfect, and it's not easy and it's
- 24:40Speaker 1: but it's safe. You feel safe. You don't leave the
- 24:43Speaker 1: room and think everybody's talking about you.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Don't.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You're not afraid to be vulnerable. You're not afraid and
- 24:49Speaker 1: I mean, and that's the truth. You're not afraid to
- 24:52Speaker 1: be vulnerable. The person healthy love people love you for
- 24:56Speaker 1: your good and your bad. They love you for your
- 24:58Speaker 1: shadow and your light. You in return, can do the same.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Healthy love does not require walking on Angheld's constant emotional labor.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Proving your worth or betraying yourself to key peace.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Healthy love honors both people, both people in the scenario.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Healthy love honors that.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And one of the biggest spiritual lessons I think we
- 25:19Speaker 1: learn in life is you can keep your heart open
- 25:22Speaker 1: without leaving the door unlocked for everybody to walk in.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And so most of the time you have to pretty
- 25:29Speaker 1: much keep dropping with biggers on the floor to have
- 25:38Speaker 1: a key, and only people can Only certain people can
- 25:40Speaker 1: have that key. Just like your house, only certain people
- 25:44Speaker 1: can have the key to your house, right, so only
- 25:46Speaker 1: certain people can have front row access with a key
- 25:49Speaker 1: to your soul or to you. Yeah, because being spiritual
- 25:55Speaker 1: doesn't mean becoming energetically available to every chaotic person or
- 25:59Speaker 1: even un chaotic person.
- 26:02Speaker 2: In your life.
- 26:03Speaker 1: You don't have to have everybody doesn't have to have access.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And that doesn't mean that you're unloving, and it doesn't
- 26:09Speaker 1: mean that you're mean. It just means that you're healthy.
- 26:13Speaker 1: You're trying to be healthy, you're trying to have peace.
- 26:14Speaker 1: So if you've been struggling with guilt around boundaries, this
- 26:18Speaker 1: is your reminder. Protecting your piece is not opposite of love.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Sometimes it is love. It's love for yourself and it's
- 26:25Speaker 1: love for the other person, and maybe unconditionally love simply
- 26:27Speaker 1: means I can still wish healing for you without handling
- 26:32Speaker 1: you access to destroy my peace, and that's the most
- 26:36Speaker 1: important thing.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So yeah, thank you guys so much for listening to this.
- 26:41Speaker 1: This has just been my hardest lesson, hardest lesson in
- 26:44Speaker 1: this healing growth because I've just always been like a
- 26:48Speaker 1: people pleaser. I've always just been like, everybody has access
- 26:53Speaker 1: to me, I need to help everybody. Even in the
- 26:56Speaker 1: beginning of my journey of being a psychic medium, I
- 27:00Speaker 1: would let I would you know, people would be like,
- 27:03Speaker 1: I have to get in. I'd have all this stuff
- 27:05Speaker 1: and I'd be like, I would let everybody in, and
- 27:09Speaker 1: I was so tired. I was like having I was unhealthy,
- 27:12Speaker 1: unhealthy physically. Now I feel bad for people when they
- 27:17Speaker 1: email me and they say those things, but honestly, I'm
- 27:20Speaker 1: not a year booked out anymore. That's why I had
- 27:22Speaker 1: to raise my prices because I was booked out a year.
- 27:25Speaker 1: So a lot of people think, oh, you raise your
- 27:26Speaker 1: prices because you want more money.
- 27:28Speaker 2: That's not true.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I raised my prices because I could not be booked
- 27:32Speaker 1: out a year and have healthy and feel healthy about that. Now,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I'm only three months out, so to me, if you
- 27:39Speaker 1: have an emergency, or to me, if you really need
- 27:41Speaker 1: to get anything, people, three months is a generally pretty
- 27:44Speaker 1: good wait. Three months is okay. I feel good about
- 27:46Speaker 1: people being able to wait.
- 27:47Speaker 2: For three months.
- 27:49Speaker 1: And there are times if there are special occasions, if
- 27:52Speaker 1: someone reach outs and says this child, especially for children,
- 27:56Speaker 1: this child lost their parents or something like that, then
- 27:59Speaker 1: I you know a spirit.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I let spirit guide my way. I let spirit.
- 28:05Speaker 1: If I read something and I know it's true, and
- 28:07Speaker 1: I know it's sensitive, and I know it's sincere, then
- 28:11Speaker 1: I will answer it.
- 28:12Speaker 2: But that doesn't always mean that they get in.
- 28:16Speaker 1: It can always mean I can help you get through
- 28:18Speaker 1: this through email or I can And a lot of
- 28:22Speaker 1: people will be like, well, do you recommend somebody else?
- 28:24Speaker 1: And I'm like, honestly, whoever I recommend is also going
- 28:27Speaker 1: to have a wait list either as long or longer
- 28:29Speaker 1: than mine.
- 28:30Speaker 2: So it's just and I'm okay with saying that. Now.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I'm okay with being authentic and being true to what
- 28:36Speaker 1: I believe and helping people, you know, one person at
- 28:41Speaker 1: a time. So I hope, I hope, I hope this
- 28:44Speaker 1: helps you. I hope that it teaches you that you're
- 28:47Speaker 1: not broken. Twenty twenty six has been kind of a
- 28:50Speaker 1: shit show.
- 28:51Speaker 2: And if you've had a great twenty twenty six, good
- 28:53Speaker 2: for you. Yay.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I'm excited for you. And I'm not saying mine's all
- 28:57Speaker 1: been bad. It's just been crazy. It's just been great.
- 29:01Speaker 1: My mantra for twenty very six was to go slow
- 29:04Speaker 1: like a turtle, and.
- 29:06Speaker 2: I probably wasn't.
- 29:08Speaker 1: I was probably trying to charge fast like a fire horse,
- 29:11Speaker 1: and Spirit was like, well, we're going to slow you
- 29:13Speaker 1: down here, and we're going to slow you down here,
- 29:14Speaker 1: and we're going to slow you down here because you're
- 29:16Speaker 1: not listening to us. And so I think that that's
- 29:17Speaker 1: probably what happened to me.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But just know that you can be selfish with your time.
- 29:25Speaker 1: You can be you can have boundaries and still have
- 29:28Speaker 1: unconditional love, and it doesn't make you a bad person.
- 29:31Speaker 1: It doesn't make you bad spiritually, and it doesn't make
- 29:34Speaker 1: it so Jesus doesn't love you and God doesn't love you.
- 29:36Speaker 1: It doesn't make Jesus and God disappointed in you. Because
- 29:40Speaker 1: here's the thing. Jesus and God love you too, and
- 29:43Speaker 1: Gus loves you. Spirit loves you, your guides love you,
- 29:47Speaker 1: and if you are sacrificing yourself to help other people,
- 29:53Speaker 1: they love you just as much as they love the
- 29:55Speaker 1: other people. And if you're not taking care of yourself first,
- 29:59Speaker 1: you can take care of those other people. It's just
- 30:02Speaker 1: like when people are saying it's bad to be rich,
- 30:04Speaker 1: or want to be rich, or it's bad to want
- 30:06Speaker 1: lots of other mediums are like it's bad to want
- 30:08Speaker 1: to be famous.
- 30:09Speaker 2: You're in it for the wrong reason, which I get.
- 30:11Speaker 1: I get what they're saying right because you need to
- 30:13Speaker 1: be in it to want to help other people. But
- 30:15Speaker 1: also too, the more people you know, or the more
- 30:18Speaker 1: people that know you, the more people.
- 30:20Speaker 2: You get to help. So that's kind of like I
- 30:23Speaker 2: always used to be like, oh, I don't want to
- 30:25Speaker 2: be famous, and I kind of I don't.
- 30:26Speaker 1: I like to have my piece, but I also want
- 30:28Speaker 1: to be out there enough and know enough people and
- 30:31Speaker 1: be known enough then I can help others because the
- 30:33Speaker 1: more people that know me, the more people I can help.
- 30:36Speaker 1: It doesn't mean I want to be making movies and
- 30:38Speaker 1: all that stuff. Now I kind of know where I
- 30:40Speaker 1: want to be and my piece is more important. But
- 30:44Speaker 1: don't let other people tell you how you're supposed to
- 30:46Speaker 1: feel or how you're supposed to You know, rich is
- 30:49Speaker 1: the root of all evil. But I can tell you
- 30:52Speaker 1: one thing. If you have a lot of money and
- 30:55Speaker 1: you do good with that money, how the hell is
- 30:58Speaker 1: that evil?
- 30:59Speaker 2: How is it? How is that evil?
- 31:00Speaker 1: If you're helping other people, if you're giving to charities
- 31:04Speaker 1: and you're helping people, that is not. And sometimes Spirit
- 31:07Speaker 1: and God just want they know that you'll be smart
- 31:11Speaker 1: with that money, so they give it to you. Just
- 31:13Speaker 1: because you've had bad experiences or people have had bad
- 31:16Speaker 1: experience with wealthy people, doesn't.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Mean everybody's like that.
- 31:19Speaker 1: It's just like my profession or doctors, right, Like, there
- 31:22Speaker 1: are people out there psychic mediums that do bad things
- 31:25Speaker 1: with their gifts and they use people and they manipulate people, and.
- 31:29Speaker 2: That's not okay.
- 31:31Speaker 1: And then there's mediums that are legit and that want
- 31:34Speaker 1: to help people and that want to use their gifts
- 31:38Speaker 1: to help others. And doctors are the same way. There
- 31:40Speaker 1: are some doctors, hairstylists, nail salons. There's some other that
- 31:44Speaker 1: are really good and really want to do the best
- 31:47Speaker 1: for people, and there's some out there that don't care
- 31:50Speaker 1: and there's that in everything. So I don't even know
- 31:54Speaker 1: where I'm going with that, but just know, be sovereign,
- 31:58Speaker 1: choose your own, do your own saying.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Don't listen to what everybody else has to say about how.
- 32:03Speaker 1: You live your life or how you pay your bills,
- 32:05Speaker 1: because at the end of the day, you're the one
- 32:08Speaker 1: who has to answer to Gus, who is.
- 32:10Speaker 2: God, universe, spirit, and I can't remember what was source.
- 32:15Speaker 1: And you're the one who has to answer to guests,
- 32:18Speaker 1: not them, well they do, but not about you.
- 32:21Speaker 2: And so.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Love yourself, create boundaries, stop being a doormat, and know
- 32:29Speaker 1: that you are so loved and you're not alone. And
- 32:32Speaker 1: I love you guys, and I will see you next week.
