Data breach affects 275 million students
Approximately 9,000 educational institutions and 275 million of their students have been affected by a data breach involving the 'learning management system' Canvas Criminal hacking group ShinyHunters has claimed credit for the hack and is demanding a ransom from the US tech company Instructure which runs Canvas.
