- 1:08Speaker 3: new year means it's a new season. We're on season
- 1:13Speaker 3: three and also where everything start new. We're in a
- 1:20Speaker 3: brand new location, Yes, brand new location. We have moved
- 1:25Speaker 3: from Arizona and we are now located in the beautiful
- 1:31Speaker 3: mountains of Colorado and as a new start to new year.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I hope everyone's having a wonderful start. I hope everyone's
- 1:44Speaker 3: resolutions are going good, and hopefully everyone will have a
- 1:50Speaker 3: prosperous new year. And as we go into our new season,
- 1:58Speaker 3: season three, and as I look into our new surroundings,
- 2:07Speaker 3: I've been looking at you. I'll see what our new
- 2:12Speaker 3: neighborhood consists of, see if there's anything that's haunted. And
- 2:19Speaker 3: I have founder a few stories that I think that
- 2:26Speaker 3: will help them to suffice with this location. And maybe
- 2:32Speaker 3: in the near future might be an investigations some type.
- 2:38Speaker 3: We'll see what happens. But let's see what we could
- 2:42Speaker 3: find in our new neighborhood.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Here.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You know, I'm here in a doors, Colorado in the
- 2:51Speaker 3: daytime hours are identicult to any time hours anywhere else.
- 2:57Speaker 3: But if you're easy scared, you bet keep your distance
- 3:05Speaker 3: and to hear here during the night, things go down
- 3:10Speaker 3: here that can't be explained by science. Some residents assort
- 3:17Speaker 3: these descriptions as lies. But if you are curious, curious,
- 3:24Speaker 3: and courageous enough to stay an extra day, if you're
- 3:30Speaker 3: visiting and Dolores, you may witness a ghostly encounter for yourself.
- 3:39Speaker 3: And these are some spooky things that has happened nearby
- 3:46Speaker 3: and around the neighborhood. And our first story is in
- 3:53Speaker 3: May Subverting National Park. And this uh, this is by
- 4:00Speaker 3: Rose Linda, and I help you enjoy her short story.
- 4:06Speaker 3: This is what she has said.
- 4:10Speaker 4: I have a memory as a little girl, about eleven
- 4:13Speaker 4: years old, my Auntie and I went to Ma se Verdi.
- 4:19Speaker 4: She pulled the car off the side of the road.
- 4:22Speaker 4: I looked into the trees. I saw a man who
- 4:27Speaker 4: looked native with this white looking thing around his head.
- 4:34Speaker 4: He motioned with his hand to keep his mouth around
- 4:39Speaker 4: his mouth as to say sh I just looked around
- 4:45Speaker 4: and didn't say nothing. I never told my aunt what
- 4:49Speaker 4: I have seen.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Thank you, Rosalinda. And you know there is some Nanive
- 4:58Speaker 3: Americans around here, and I one doubt that you end
- 5:03Speaker 3: up seeing a ghostingen counter with a Native American. I'm
- 5:08Speaker 3: sure there's barrels around, and I'm sure there's Russell's spirits
- 5:13Speaker 3: around and six miles away from here in Maine Coast, Colorado.
- 5:24Speaker 3: This was submitted by Nicole and see what she has
- 5:31Speaker 3: to say.
- 5:35Speaker 4: My brother just moved into his house a few months
- 5:38Speaker 4: ago when workers came and stayed there all of them
- 5:44Speaker 4: started experiencing odd nightmarerors and sleeping upstairs, so my mom
- 5:52Speaker 4: had her friend clear the house. However, when my kids
- 5:57Speaker 4: and I went to stay the night, there are a
- 6:01Speaker 4: few There are A few days ago, they slept in
- 6:05Speaker 4: the camper and we brought up there and I slept upstairs.
- 6:12Speaker 4: In the middle of the night, I woke up with
- 6:15Speaker 4: the feeling of someone standing by me, and a man
- 6:20Speaker 4: with darker hair flopped on one side and he knows
- 6:24Speaker 4: that a larger scale was standing across the room. I screamed,
- 6:30Speaker 4: but Alie, it didn't make any of my brothers wake up,
- 6:35Speaker 4: and I looked around and went back. The ghost was gone. Afterwards,
- 6:41Speaker 4: I heard breathing upstairs and my nephew, who worked upstairs,
- 6:48Speaker 4: here's footsteps in one of the rooms all the time
- 6:53Speaker 4: when no one was up there by him.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Thank you, Nicole, And in she continues on.
- 7:12Speaker 4: Saying, Yes, at the house that I had lived, there
- 7:17Speaker 4: have been plenty of ghostly encounters. I believe I only
- 7:22Speaker 4: lived in this house for about one month at a time,
- 7:27Speaker 4: and we have this very creepy cellar. My sister and
- 7:32Speaker 4: her friend went down to explore the cellar, and I
- 7:36Speaker 4: also tagged along. When we got down the steps, there
- 7:41Speaker 4: was a really weird hole inside the wall with a shovel,
- 7:47Speaker 4: and it had that it get broken off of it.
- 7:51Speaker 4: There was a spot where the door could have been
- 7:54Speaker 4: leading to the door on the other side of the cellar.
- 7:57Speaker 4: We all went in there, sterner friend, we're using a
- 8:02Speaker 4: phone fat flashlight and they got off and walked around
- 8:07Speaker 4: the yard into the room where the flashlights turned off.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Oh that's interesting, and uh, let's see what we got here. Oh, okay,
- 8:28Speaker 3: the coal wasn't done yet, so let's continue to hear
- 8:32Speaker 3: from the coal.
- 8:34Speaker 4: They screamed, and so I got panicked and ran up
- 8:38Speaker 4: the stairs. They both came back out and they tried
- 8:43Speaker 4: to turn the flashlight on again their phone back on,
- 8:47Speaker 4: but it did it. It wouldn't work. That wasn't the
- 8:51Speaker 4: only problem we had with the curse sellar some of
- 8:57Speaker 4: the time when no, when they had touched a lot
- 9:02Speaker 4: we were alsewhere our lives that we didn't do it.
- 9:07Speaker 4: The cellar door had been unlocked and cracked open just
- 9:12Speaker 4: a little bit. Once again, there was not the only thing.
- 9:18Speaker 4: My mother had also told us that she had been
- 9:22Speaker 4: seeing a little girl poke her head out the window
- 9:26Speaker 4: of the corner kind of near the cellar. I have
- 9:31Speaker 4: more ghostly stories. That's all now, since there's already a
- 9:37Speaker 4: lot of writing.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Thank you, And this was also besides Nicole is also
- 9:49Speaker 3: submitted by Mandy and this one is submitted by missus says.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I have grown up in main holes and have heard
- 10:01Speaker 3: many ghost stories from locals. So one person saw a
- 10:07Speaker 3: bloody nurse come from a from a man hole and disappear.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Another had seen a headless man playing in Oregon at
- 10:17Speaker 3: a church or an old house. I couldn't remember which
- 10:23Speaker 3: the ghost are. The most stories is about the Manco School,
- 10:29Speaker 3: most of the bell tower, most of the people who
- 10:33Speaker 3: hung themselves. My grandpa lived there and I was at
- 10:40Speaker 3: the LDS Church one of the mornings. You knows one
- 10:44Speaker 3: of the students wasn't there. He asked the other students
- 10:49Speaker 3: if her where the whereabouts? He said they were all there.
- 10:56Speaker 3: He told them that she looked like the stud students
- 11:00Speaker 3: she had set between, but they had They said that
- 11:05Speaker 3: no one had been between them. They told him that
- 11:10Speaker 3: they had never seen her before. My grandpa had even
- 11:15Speaker 3: had her seen her in the church also, but after
- 11:21Speaker 3: he looks where she was, he never saw her again. Wow,
- 11:26Speaker 3: that's interesting. Uh, that's that's very cool.
- 11:31Speaker 1: And h.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I bet that was scary. You know, I've told us
- 11:40Speaker 3: a story of season one about what happened to my
- 11:45Speaker 3: sister when her best friend, you know, going to class
- 11:54Speaker 3: and everything and she was looking, you know, looking for
- 11:57Speaker 3: looking for you know. Sudden she got tapped on the
- 12:02Speaker 3: back of the shoulder and she got scayed. This says, well,
- 12:07Speaker 3: I've been looking for you. Where where were you? I
- 12:09Speaker 3: didn't see you come in. And she kept saying, everything's okay,
- 12:14Speaker 3: everything's okay, don't worry, everything's okay. And she was excited
- 12:21Speaker 3: to go okay, everything's okay, and kept saying everything's okay.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Then so they ended up. One of her friends, uh whispersus, uh,
- 12:35Speaker 3: who are you talking to? Goes, well, I'm talking to Melissa.
- 12:38Speaker 3: She's right behind me. And she goes, well, there's no
- 12:43Speaker 3: one behind you. And she looked again. There was nothing,
- 12:48Speaker 3: and she said, I swear that she was there. She goes, no,
- 12:53Speaker 3: she didn't make it in today. She ended up she
- 12:56Speaker 3: ended up dying at home, so it could happen. I mean,
- 13:04Speaker 3: that's a very awesome story, and there's another one in macOS.
- 13:11Speaker 3: macOS in general is very active area, para paranormally, it
- 13:19Speaker 3: is literally where the West was one and thrive. The
- 13:24Speaker 3: high school is consistently plagued with electronic issues such as
- 13:29Speaker 3: shutting on and off and the doors opening, slimmon and
- 13:35Speaker 3: items disappearing. A Cedar Grove cemetery heading towards Weaber Canyon
- 13:43Speaker 3: is full of accounts a man in a track suit,
- 13:48Speaker 3: a girl in white that walks in circles near the entrance,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and shut up figures dodging in and out of trees.
- 13:58Speaker 3: This is submitted by s Wow, that's.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I mean I've lived in a haunted school. I know
- 14:07Speaker 3: how that is. And this one's submitted by by someone
- 14:16Speaker 3: I get synominous. I grew up in a group of
- 14:20Speaker 3: main coasts in my family is still there. I don't
- 14:24Speaker 3: know if the rumors are true, but as long as
- 14:27Speaker 3: I can remember, people used to tell stories of a
- 14:31Speaker 3: young lady who hung herself in the bell bell tower
- 14:36Speaker 3: of the high school. Like I said, I don't know
- 14:38Speaker 3: if that is how she died, but I've seen a
- 14:42Speaker 3: scherry figure up in the bell tower on more than
- 14:46Speaker 3: one occasion during the late night summer walks. I don't
- 14:51Speaker 3: go to school grounds late at night by myself. I
- 14:55Speaker 3: also worked in Bauer House as a cleaning lady for
- 15:01Speaker 3: a couple of months one summer. I fully believed that the
- 15:05Speaker 3: building is haunted as well. There were so many disturbances
- 15:09Speaker 3: of clean supplies and the other objects that no one
- 15:13Speaker 3: in the house but me and the owner. That's pretty good,
- 15:19Speaker 3: I mean what we want, continued to me. Continue here, Uh,
- 15:32Speaker 3: that was it. That was the last story, I said, continues,
- 15:37Speaker 3: So I flipped it over and it was done. But
- 15:44Speaker 3: but there there's another one on the high School at Sea.
- 15:48Speaker 3: I used to live in Mancoes. I know the high
- 15:50Speaker 3: school is haunted. The third floor is haunted by a
- 15:54Speaker 3: young freshman who fell to his death claiming the rocks
- 15:58Speaker 3: above the Mancos River around the nineteen hundreds. Anyway, he
- 16:04Speaker 3: used to turn on the water faucets when the science
- 16:08Speaker 3: classes were there. Later, when the library was there, he
- 16:13Speaker 3: would pull all the misfiled books and put them neatly
- 16:18Speaker 3: in a corner of the librarian's desk. The Rightman Hotel
- 16:24Speaker 3: now it's a bed and breakfast, is haunted by a
- 16:27Speaker 3: cowboy who disagreed with everybody who was important politically. He
- 16:36Speaker 3: was from our ray and came back to Mankos to
- 16:41Speaker 3: get supplies, visiting with his friends. However, there was one
- 16:46Speaker 3: sentence written about him in the personals in the Mancos Times,
- 16:54Speaker 3: mister blank has left Mankos. Usually in the personals peace
- 17:00Speaker 3: people submitted names of visitors, they were, where they're from,
- 17:05Speaker 3: and they did what they did, et cetera. But macOS
- 17:10Speaker 3: was off off the beaten path. It still is. I
- 17:14Speaker 3: don't think the cowboy ever left macOS. I heard from
- 17:18Speaker 3: older ladies who used to work for missus right men.
- 17:24Speaker 3: And the lights would turn on and off, the doors
- 17:27Speaker 3: would open and close. The basement was creepy. The stairs
- 17:32Speaker 3: would sound like someone was walking up and down them
- 17:36Speaker 3: all all the time. Wow, that's that's pretty awesome. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 3: let's see what we got here for ash me other,
- 17:59Speaker 3: let's see we got Lewis, color out of here. And
- 18:02Speaker 3: this is a submitted I guess by Well, let's see
- 18:09Speaker 3: what goes here. After growing up in Lewis, Colorado, which
- 18:14Speaker 3: is a small farming community, I sometimes look back in
- 18:18Speaker 3: my younger years I could tell you without one inkling
- 18:24Speaker 3: of hesitation, this area is frankly a great place to
- 18:29Speaker 3: live in experience life. It's at its best. On any
- 18:34Speaker 3: givens any given day, the residents can often seem soaking
- 18:40Speaker 3: up the country life through her hard work maintaining farms, branches,
- 18:47Speaker 3: businesses accomplished through pride, commitment and system of moral values.
- 18:55Speaker 3: After a long day's work, these cool summer nights, sent
- 19:00Speaker 3: can often spent relaxing while listening to nature and its
- 19:05Speaker 3: best on a perfectly clear skies and well lit moons
- 19:10Speaker 3: and millions of stars. Do you ever find yourself wondering
- 19:14Speaker 3: this far?
- 19:15Speaker 1: Nor?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Please look up and stop and visit some of the
- 19:19Speaker 3: residents of Lewis. Some residents in the area enjoy seeing
- 19:24Speaker 3: unfamiliar faces, will not shy away from Sharon Lewis community's
- 19:30Speaker 3: past history, even occasional hauntings. I suppose growing up on
- 19:36Speaker 3: a farm definitely has his own share of memorable, exciting experiences.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I bet I grew up here back in the nineteen sixties.
- 19:51Speaker 3: There's a previous owner have been had it been in
- 19:55Speaker 3: his pasture, arrogating When thunderstorm turned and sending lightning bolts
- 20:03Speaker 3: down through the area, it was certain that the farmer
- 20:08Speaker 3: was on his way back to the house and took it,
- 20:11Speaker 3: took shelter from the storm, and which point both the
- 20:15Speaker 3: lightning shot down and struck a shovel that that was
- 20:20Speaker 3: hanging over his shoulder. The farmer was eventually found un
- 20:27Speaker 3: for mentally, unfo unformantly un Unfortunately, he did not survive
- 20:37Speaker 3: a few years later, to exact same day the first tragedy,
- 20:44Speaker 3: a relative of the farmer was in the back pastures
- 20:48Speaker 3: irrigating near the exact same place, exact same area, when
- 20:53Speaker 3: the lightning struck him, which also he did not survive.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Once whence, as far as I can remember, it always
- 21:04Speaker 3: seemed that every time the lightning storm that would roll
- 21:08Speaker 3: in and not something to dismiss without caution, the overhead
- 21:15Speaker 3: storm never failed to strike lightning at least once or
- 21:19Speaker 3: twice somewhere on the farm, whether it be an old
- 21:22Speaker 3: farmhouse directly or north corner field. There are two men
- 21:28Speaker 3: were struck many years ago, and well that's you got
- 21:38Speaker 3: to have some really bad luck, not only once but twice.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I mean, that is crazy. You know, two people getting
- 21:47Speaker 3: exact same place, you know, different times, but exact same place,
- 21:54Speaker 3: gets struck by lightning. That's that's crazy. Let's see here,
- 22:19Speaker 3: well this one was uh, let's see the old uh,
- 22:28Speaker 3: let's see, the old farmhouse had been a few hauntings.
- 22:34Speaker 3: The first that my family experience was back in nineteen
- 22:39Speaker 3: ninety eight. We were all watching a movie on TV
- 22:43Speaker 3: when something hit the door with full force, causing a loud,
- 22:48Speaker 3: striking sound. We had a cat in the house. Momentarily
- 22:57Speaker 3: after the large striking sound, the cat jumped down at
- 23:03Speaker 3: my dad's lap and points stood right through the doorway
- 23:10Speaker 3: of the open kitchen area, and it was stretching from
- 23:14Speaker 3: laying down so long as it stood looking towards the
- 23:18Speaker 3: area where the loud song came from. The hair quickly
- 23:23Speaker 3: stood straight up on the cat's bat then began to
- 23:28Speaker 3: hiss him, growl, and most would get frightening look on
- 23:32Speaker 3: his face. Immediately it wanted out and would not and
- 23:37Speaker 3: it would not come back in the house for about
- 23:41Speaker 3: a month after that night. We did not know or
- 23:45Speaker 3: what it saw was the only after that our only
- 23:51Speaker 3: animal in the house at the time, but whatever it was,
- 23:56Speaker 3: it was definitely something not pleasant according to the cat's reaction.
- 24:03Speaker 3: In nineteen ninety nine, my mother was home alone when
- 24:08Speaker 3: aloud not was heard from the window towards the west
- 24:12Speaker 3: side of the house. I believe whether it would have
- 24:16Speaker 3: been playing games with her or that night she went
- 24:24Speaker 3: to see what it was, and there was no one outside.
- 24:29Speaker 3: The window was nowhere to no one near, and any
- 24:34Speaker 3: low hanging branches or the brush of bushes that could
- 24:39Speaker 3: have caused the noises from wind blowing. The window was
- 24:44Speaker 3: approximately twelve feet away from another one. Upon seeing her
- 24:50Speaker 3: herself that no one was outside, she placed her shotgun
- 24:57Speaker 3: within arms reach and went back during doing her knitty.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Once again, another knock came from the same window, which
- 25:06Speaker 3: was the point that she gave a fair warning to
- 25:09Speaker 3: anyone who dared knocked in once more. In two thousand
- 25:15Speaker 3: and two, I had been staying out and at the
- 25:19Speaker 3: bunk house adjacent to the farmhouse. Went around two am.
- 25:24Speaker 3: I was walking up with a loud banging on my door. Frankly,
- 25:30Speaker 3: a man's voice could be heard yelling, get out, fire,
- 25:34Speaker 3: get out fire. No one was there when I reached
- 25:39Speaker 3: over quickly to open the door. The strange haunting has
- 25:43Speaker 3: completely stopped for a few hour for years. A few
- 25:47Speaker 3: years after my parents sold the old farmhouse, they built
- 25:53Speaker 3: a newer home in the in the back part of
- 25:55Speaker 3: the land. However, much strange things are begin to make
- 26:01Speaker 3: a comeback in a different form.
- 26:04Speaker 1: My father was.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Telling me about an unusual experience we had which happened
- 26:13Speaker 3: here recently. It happened to be very late hours of
- 26:17Speaker 3: the night. The history of where the new the new
- 26:21Speaker 3: house residents or resides is within a quarter mile of
- 26:27Speaker 3: old Indian ruins that have been seen since covered up
- 26:33Speaker 3: with wind blown dirt over the years and filled up
- 26:38Speaker 3: with alfalfa hay. A few Indian ruins stones sometimes get
- 26:44Speaker 3: dug up by a tractor plow on occasion where it
- 26:49Speaker 3: was this time too rotate crops. There would have been
- 26:56Speaker 3: seeing no evidence as yet of an eighty Indian burial
- 27:01Speaker 3: ground lane anywhere in the city of this farmhouse land,
- 27:07Speaker 3: unless it's seen covered up by several feet of unplowed dirt.
- 27:13Speaker 3: The fairly new house was no past history of Ponting's,
- 27:19Speaker 3: but it doesn't, but it does now. My father said
- 27:23Speaker 3: that in one particular night he and my mom were asleeping,
- 27:30Speaker 3: and whoever reason had hurt, had trouble sleeping that entire night.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I was around midnight or a little later when he
- 27:40Speaker 3: first happened to open his eyes and saw a child
- 27:45Speaker 3: that may have been around the age of seven to
- 27:49Speaker 3: nine years old. It was standing in the foot of
- 27:53Speaker 3: the bed looking down at my mom as she was sleeping.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Almost later, my father rose up when he leaned over
- 28:08Speaker 3: my mom to get her a closer look at what
- 28:10Speaker 3: it was seeing, as she also somewhat shocked to see
- 28:15Speaker 3: a little child standing in the bedroom at night. He said,
- 28:20Speaker 3: to the child and my made eye contact at the
- 28:26Speaker 3: point of leaving, h having him lean over to my mom.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Then it quickly turned around, took three steps forward towards
- 28:37Speaker 3: the wall, and disappeared into the thin air. At this
- 28:42Speaker 3: point it was apparent that he had seen what is
- 28:47Speaker 3: known as intelligent haunting. Other types can be res residual hauntings.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Asked him a few detailed questions, They said, the spirit
- 29:02Speaker 3: and made his presence known in the form of a
- 29:08Speaker 3: salid image, like a salt image of a real human.
- 29:12Speaker 3: The spirit had blonde hair and it was wearing like
- 29:16Speaker 3: it was nineteen sixties South clothing. Wow, that's that's very interesting.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I mean, that's that's really residual or you know, it
- 29:37Speaker 3: could be. Uh, it's interesting. I mean, these uh stories
