- 0:22Speaker 2: need more space in your kitchen. All right. People understand that.
- 0:26Speaker 2: What kind of space? Cabinet space? Pantry space? Countertop space?
- 0:31Speaker 2: Is this a layout issue? Is this a function issue?

- 0:58Speaker 2: did the countertops, The places that we checked out, all right,
- 1:02Speaker 2: check out some stone here and check out these things
- 1:03Speaker 2: over there. Incredible selection. It was mind-boggling. And yet there
- 1:07Speaker 2: was Booer every step of the way to help us. Okay,
- 1:10Speaker 2: it's a lot, but let's bring it in. You said this,
- 1:12Speaker 2: let's look at this, and now go for this. And

- 1:43Speaker 1: The popcorn moment. Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.
- 2:00Speaker 1: It's a story you need to hear to believe.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Then grab your popcorn because there is more.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Let us be people who are honest and clear with
- 2:12Speaker 2: each other. The new press secretary, Katie Zakaria, had her
- 2:18Speaker 2: press briefing yesterday. No, she was not good. She was nervous.
- 2:25Speaker 2: That was obvious. This is being White House press secretary
- 2:30Speaker 2: to Donald Trump. And I would argue to any president,
- 2:34Speaker 2: first time out, that's got to be a feeling.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I mean, she was.
- 2:41Speaker 2: lovely enough and talked about her family and moving them
- 2:45Speaker 2: out to D.C.
- 2:47Speaker 1: And Trump being supportive of it.
- 2:49Speaker 3: I intend to, to the extent possible, include my family,
- 2:53Speaker 3: include my kids in my work, though my work will
- 2:56Speaker 3: be demanding. They will always be a priority. And I
- 2:59Speaker 3: President Trump. is the most family-friendly president we've ever had.
- 3:03Speaker 3: He has hired more women with families, and the fact
- 3:06Speaker 3: that he knew I had four kids and he knew
- 3:08Speaker 3: that this job would be demanding and still placed his
- 3:10Speaker 3: trust in me shows that I know I'm capable of
- 3:14Speaker 3: being able to step up to that.
- 3:15Speaker 2: A fine answer, of course.
- 3:18Speaker 1: It's her family.
- 3:19Speaker 2: But that was maybe the best of it. I'm not
- 3:24Speaker 2: mad at her.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Show some grace, everybody.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Day one on the gig in front of that press corps,
- 3:33Speaker 2: in front of any press corps. Not easy.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Now, I won't kid it. It wasn't powerful. It wasn't strong.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I don't care what the White House put out. They
- 3:43Speaker 2: put out powerful.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It wasn't.
- 3:45Speaker 2: It wasn't good. It wasn't good that she answered three
- 3:50Speaker 2: questions and then left the podium. It wasn't good that
- 3:54Speaker 2: when she was speaking, it was mostly about her, and
- 3:57Speaker 2: she was at moments breathless because she wasn't sure where
- 4:01Speaker 2: she wanted to go next. But it's equally not good
- 4:07Speaker 2: that you have people out there in the cable news
- 4:10Speaker 2: scene mocking her relentlessly like the absolute radical Norm Eisen.
- 4:18Speaker 2: My words, Norm Eisen, he's a lawyer.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He could sue anyone.
- 4:22Speaker 2: This is disgusting on MSNBC there with Jen Psaki.
- 4:26Speaker 5: And it was one of many peculiar moments today when
- 4:31Speaker 5: she was asked outside the White House by the press pool,
- 4:36Speaker 5: the scrum there. First, they asked President Trump and then
- 4:40Speaker 5: they asked her and she answered when I moved to China.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I mean, did she get it in the duty free
- 4:48Speaker 5: shop at the airport? Did she think they meant that?
- 4:53Speaker 1: When did you walk past a bar? So it spoke to.
- 5:00Speaker 2: That's mocking her having a law degree. They can't stop talking.
- 5:08Speaker 2: They cannot, cannot stop. It was Jimmy Kimmel yesterday mocking
- 5:12Speaker 2: the way she looked. I thought Shane Gillis proved that
- 5:15Speaker 2: that's wrong. We don't do that to women. But of course,
- 5:17Speaker 2: if they're conservative women, because as we have long discussed.
- 5:23Speaker 2: For the liberal women, oh, you must protect women unless,
- 5:27Speaker 2: of course, a man says they're a woman, in which
- 5:28Speaker 2: case the woman must lay down and take it. And
- 5:30Speaker 2: of course, unless the woman is conservative, in which case
- 5:32Speaker 2: she's not even an actual woman. If you're gay and conservative,
- 5:38Speaker 2: you're not really gay. If you're black and conservative, you're
- 5:40Speaker 2: not really black. If you're a woman and conservative, you're
- 5:42Speaker 2: not really a woman. That's the left. And then there
- 5:46Speaker 2: was Caitlin Collins engaged in. I don't know, like like
- 5:54Speaker 2: a fan fiction kind of moment here.
- 5:57Speaker 4: I've attended a lot of White House press briefings, John,
- 5:59Speaker 4: and I'm not sure I've ever seen anything like that.
- 6:02Speaker 4: And I think most people in the room, I mean,
- 6:04Speaker 4: there were audible gasps in the room as she closed
- 6:07Speaker 4: her binder and prepared to leave and said those were
- 6:11Speaker 4: all the questions she would be taking after only taking
- 6:13Speaker 4: three questions, because I think most people in that room
- 6:16Speaker 4: thought that it would be a normal length press briefing,
- 6:19Speaker 4: which typically goes 45 minutes, even potentially up to an hour,
- 6:22Speaker 4: especially after you know, 10 minutes of prepared remarks that
- 6:26Speaker 4: she was reading from when she came out to the lectern.
- 6:29Speaker 4: And so I think it surprised a lot of people
- 6:31Speaker 4: in there, especially given the president was insistent on her
- 6:34Speaker 4: holding a press briefing. She met with the president, John,
- 6:37Speaker 4: before she came out to the briefing today. I mean,
- 6:39Speaker 4: you would assume that was so she could answer questions
- 6:42Speaker 4: from reporters about Kimberly Guilfoyle and many other topics. And
- 6:45Speaker 4: so it was pretty surprising. And almost immediately, John, I
- 6:48Speaker 4: was getting texts from people who work inside the Trump administration,
- 6:52Speaker 4: inside the White House, who were surprised by how fleeting
- 6:56Speaker 4: the appearance was and and just, you know, how it
- 6:59Speaker 4: was conducted and the fact that she didn't really take
- 7:02Speaker 4: any questions from reporters who were there in the room.
- 7:05Speaker 4: beyond those three initial ones, which was only five and
- 7:07Speaker 4: a half minutes of questions, John. And so, I mean,
- 7:10Speaker 4: White House officials who know what Trump likes and a
- 7:12Speaker 4: press secretary were texting me predicting that she would not
- 7:15Speaker 4: last in this position very long.
- 7:18Speaker 1: That's just gross. Caitlin Collins is gross. It's gross. My gosh, how.
- 7:25Speaker 2: The unmighty have risen. You have no idea how long she's.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Going to last and neither do I.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It was a short press conference. It was way too
- 7:35Speaker 2: much time on herself and not enough time answering questions.
- 7:38Speaker 2: She answered three questions, said, well, the president's going to
- 7:39Speaker 2: be leaving on Marine One. You'll talk to him then.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It was odd. I don't disagree. But, oh, I'm getting
- 7:49Speaker 2: texts from inside the White House. She won't last long.
- 7:51Speaker 1: It was one day.
- 7:52Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 7:54Speaker 1: She could be gone tomorrow. It's Trump.
- 7:57Speaker 2: But now we're supposed to be betting on this and
- 8:01Speaker 2: cheering on this and We're really going to do this.
- 8:08Speaker 2: One day is going to make the whole thing. These
- 8:12Speaker 2: people are messed up. These, these people, it doesn't matter
- 8:16Speaker 2: what happens. They want it to fail. Was it a
- 8:18Speaker 2: good press conference? Was it a good first showing? No, no,
- 8:23Speaker 2: it wasn't the end of the world though. I'll give
- 8:26Speaker 2: her some time to learn the gig. Corinne Jean-Pierre had
- 8:30Speaker 2: all the time in the world, and she was a
- 8:33Speaker 2: damn fool. Oh, and a liar. I'll give Katie Zakaria
- 8:38Speaker 2: more than a day, if you don't mind.
