- 0:00Speaker 1: And the Kracking power play Lord.
- 0:02Speaker 2: This is the postgame show, brought to you by Toyota
- 0:06Speaker 2: of Olympia. Now for an in depth look at your
- 0:09Speaker 2: Kraken hockey. It's the post game. I'm the Global Credit
- 0:13Speaker 2: Union Kraken Audio Network.
- 0:17Speaker 3: In the final time tonight, welcome back inside of Climate
- 0:19Speaker 3: Plagarina alongside Al Koniski. Eward fits you back with you.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Patrick Kane's eighty third career game winning goal, his four
- 0:28Speaker 3: hundredth and ninety seventh tally of his illustrious definite soon
- 0:34Speaker 3: should be Hall of Fame career, puts the Red Wings
- 0:38Speaker 3: on top two and a half minutes left in the
- 0:40Speaker 3: third period for a four to three win over the
- 0:43Speaker 3: Seattle Kraken. After back to back lackluster performances against the
- 0:47Speaker 3: Oilers for Seattle, this is one of those games in
- 0:50Speaker 3: which the Kraken needed to come back. They needed a
- 0:52Speaker 3: better performance. I think by all accounts, they got it
- 0:55Speaker 3: here tonight. The effort was there, the jam was there tonight,
- 0:59Speaker 3: the offense seven goals now in the last two games
- 1:02Speaker 3: for Seattle, but once again the dam breaking at the
- 1:06Speaker 3: very end for a four.
- 1:07Speaker 4: To three loss. Yeah, seven goals once again, all even
- 1:10Speaker 4: strength as well as the crack can go oh for
- 1:12Speaker 4: two on the power play here tonight they go oh
- 1:15Speaker 4: for one on the only penalty kill they had they
- 1:18Speaker 4: had to attack tonight. So special team is still an
- 1:21Speaker 4: area of concern. Is you know, it's one of those
- 1:23Speaker 4: things where you can't flip it overnight. It's something you've
- 1:26Speaker 4: got to work on. And I think over the next
- 1:28Speaker 4: couple of weeks you're gonna hopefully see these special teams
- 1:30Speaker 4: start to tick up a little bit. But for right now,
- 1:33Speaker 4: there's they're still leaking oil. So I mean where to begin.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I think once again, the power play tonight for Seattle
- 1:41Speaker 3: oh for two, it's another area of concern, the PK
- 1:45Speaker 3: oh for their only one, which I mean again, ultimately,
- 1:48Speaker 3: even though it was the first goal of the game
- 1:50Speaker 3: seven to H six in that's the decision maker, that's
- 1:54Speaker 3: the deciding factor in this game. I did like Vince.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Duns game here tonight.
- 1:58Speaker 3: You know he had some jammy I had a physical
- 2:02Speaker 3: response as well. Adam Larson getting a couple of points
- 2:04Speaker 3: in that game. And again this team, it felt like
- 2:07Speaker 3: they played well enough to win. They deserved minimally a
- 2:11Speaker 3: point this game should have gotten in overtime. But as
- 2:14Speaker 3: you said, coming back for one of the breaks, you
- 2:16Speaker 3: can't score if you don't shoot. Cracking out shot seven
- 2:19Speaker 3: to five in that period, but three of those five
- 2:22Speaker 3: shots came in the last forty seconds.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Yeah, they certainly did. Is the Cracker we're looking for
- 2:26Speaker 4: that tying goal obviously at six on five in that situation.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I agree with your gun comments. I thought he had
- 2:30Speaker 4: ever had a really good game, and overall there was
- 2:33Speaker 4: much more battle in this game from the Crack and
- 2:35Speaker 4: then the probably the last two games, but definitely the
- 2:38Speaker 4: last game at Edmonton.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Four to three, Crack and fall to the Detroit Red Wings.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Al your three stars and can you takeaways after tonight?
- 2:45Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 2:45Speaker 4: Again, shot attempts there after the first period twenty one
- 2:48Speaker 4: to eight. Again, that's a tempts. But the Cracker doing
- 2:50Speaker 4: a lot better putting pucks on the net. I have
- 2:52Speaker 4: to believe that has a lot to do with putting
- 2:54Speaker 4: three up on the board. Unfortunately, the defensive zone is
- 2:58Speaker 4: still a struggle where they gave up three over the
- 3:00Speaker 4: course of the same period of time, and then obviously
- 3:02Speaker 4: the winning goal by Patrick Kane there late in the
- 3:05Speaker 4: third period. You consider two twenty eight late in the
- 3:07Speaker 4: third period. I was kind of getting into.
- 3:08Speaker 3: That area where I think anytime after the final media
- 3:13Speaker 3: time out fourteen to ten and six, you know at
- 3:15Speaker 3: five minutes is late. If you're in that final quarter
- 3:19Speaker 3: of the period, I'm gonna that's that's late.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Especially when it's tied up like you know, you obviously
- 3:23Speaker 4: want that winning goal, but you don't want to give
- 3:25Speaker 4: up anything to get it, and the unfortunately the Kraken
- 3:28Speaker 4: give up an odd man rush that Patrick Kane finishes on.
- 3:31Speaker 4: And then special teams was my other key takeaway. Continuing
- 3:34Speaker 4: air or continuing to be a bit of an area
- 3:36Speaker 4: that the Kraken need to uh spend a little time
- 3:39Speaker 4: working on and get sorted out. I have to believe
- 3:41Speaker 4: that Jayden Schwartz not being a part of the Special
- 3:44Speaker 4: teams is having a big impact on that. Three Stars
- 3:47Speaker 4: tonight brought to you by Mam McKay. Third star goes
- 3:49Speaker 4: to Seattle's Adam Larson. He had a goal, one assist,
- 3:52Speaker 4: two shots on goal, and one fight away from mcgrdy
- 3:54Speaker 4: haw had a Second star goes to Simon Evanson. He
- 3:57Speaker 4: had two assists. He was plus three tonight, and you're
- 4:00Speaker 4: goes to Patrick Kane grabbing the game winner late in
- 4:03Speaker 4: the third with one goal.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I tell you what Larson, I mean he got in
- 4:07Speaker 3: the mix after that uh that second period horn he
- 4:11Speaker 3: might have got it.
- 4:12Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 4:12Speaker 4: I mean, the only them down for one official hit.
- 4:14Speaker 4: But I feel like he played the body a lot tonight.
- 4:17Speaker 3: So I'm gonna give a couple cracking back home on Monday,
- 4:20Speaker 3: Third Jersey Night against the Minnesota Wild. Go to Seattlecracking

- 4:36Speaker 1: Guys, thank you very much. Say this one's thing's a
- 4:39Speaker 1: bit admittedly here as compared to Thursday, if effectively the
- 4:43Speaker 1: turnaround was right there, unfortunately, though not enough for two points,
- 4:47Speaker 1: as the Kraken get more offense here from their defense,
- 4:49Speaker 1: but Detroit gets the final say from their brand. It
- 4:52Speaker 1: is skill and two rush chances Layton period two and
- 4:56Speaker 1: period three make the difference in this one. The Kraken
- 5:00Speaker 1: so close to pushing this thing to overtime. Bud Patrick
- 5:03Speaker 1: Kane's goal is the difference for to three red Wings
- 5:06Speaker 1: over the Kraken. That is your final score here at
- 5:08Speaker 1: Climate Pledge Arena. Much more to come. We have our

- 5:32Speaker 1: again Texas right now four nine four five to one
- 5:35Speaker 1: on the Kjard text line. Postgame rolls on, We're back

- 8:10Speaker 1: the Kraken hanging in there in the balance for much
- 8:13Speaker 1: of the way, but one last gasp for Detroit with
- 8:16Speaker 1: one of the future Hall of famers from this generation
- 8:19Speaker 1: paves way here for the difference and the Kraken coming
- 8:22Speaker 1: up empty and what felt like a stinger at the
- 8:24Speaker 1: very end of this despite their turnaround remarkably improving from
- 8:28Speaker 1: Thursday the Kraken thow fall four to three to the
- 8:31Speaker 1: Red Wings Seria Climate Pledge Arena again Mike Benton with
- 8:33Speaker 1: you back to the corpse light landing and section twenty
- 8:36Speaker 1: that moves the Kraken record now to eleven nine and six.
- 8:40Speaker 1: They stayed twenty eight points but now are three back
- 8:43Speaker 1: of the cut line in the Western Conference and Detroit
- 8:46Speaker 1: improving their record to fifteen eleven and three with thirty
- 8:50Speaker 1: three points. Taking both matchups in this head to head
- 8:54Speaker 1: series as the Crack and Fall in regulation for the
- 8:57Speaker 1: first time on home ice to Detroit, who have won
- 9:00Speaker 1: the last five straight games, had to head in this matchup.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Time now for the highlights in this Sebo cracking driver.
- 9:06Speaker 1: The next scoring recap is brought to you by the
- 9:08Speaker 1: all new Chevy Tracks now bigger and Boulder Tracks is
- 9:12Speaker 1: the perfect assist for all of life's adventures. The crack
- 9:16Speaker 1: and falling behind one nothing. Unfortunately off has been a
- 9:19Speaker 1: pretty familiar case. The penalty kill as Berkeley Catton was
- 9:23Speaker 1: hauled off for holding in five twenty and Finny finishing
- 9:26Speaker 1: off across scene pass from the right circle at seven
- 9:29Speaker 1: oh six his sixth goal of the season got him
- 9:32Speaker 1: out of an eight game goal scoring drought named Danielson
- 9:36Speaker 1: Axel Sandne Pelica had the assist on the play. But
- 9:39Speaker 1: after that, how long would it take for the kracking
- 9:43Speaker 1: to fight back?
- 9:44Speaker 3: Maddy but Airs turns away from Raymond's pressure. Now Everley
- 9:47Speaker 3: Tomorrow shot.
- 9:56Speaker 8: Brandon Montour from the right circle, ghost down and.
- 10:01Speaker 3: The Seattle Crack and tie this game one three four
- 10:05Speaker 3: left in.
- 10:06Speaker 4: The first well. This play starts back at the Seattle
- 10:08Speaker 4: out of the ice. Matty Beanier's with a great move
- 10:10Speaker 4: to alleviate a red win.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Checker feeds it up to every everybody.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Grits gets the offensive flu line creates some traffic traits,
- 10:18Speaker 4: the screen drops into Montour. Montur goes block your side
- 10:22Speaker 4: top shelf. This title this game title.
- 10:24Speaker 1: One shot volume was the mission here for the Crack
- 10:27Speaker 1: end this evening and they were firing from all angles
- 10:30Speaker 1: and their Defensemann help it get it going. As far
- 10:32Speaker 1: as the offense, Brandon Montour getting his sixth goal of
- 10:35Speaker 1: the season at sixteen to sixteen. That is now the
- 10:38Speaker 1: third goal for him in the last six games. Jordan Eberley,
- 10:42Speaker 1: Maddy Beaniers as well with the assists and Vanier's finding
- 10:45Speaker 1: production against Detroit's going all the way back here to
- 10:48Speaker 1: the infancy of his career that is now the ten
- 10:51Speaker 1: point in eight lifetime games against the Red Wings, Vaniers
- 10:55Speaker 1: continuing to produce, helping set that playout and Brandon Montor
- 10:59Speaker 1: finishing things up at sixteen sixteen to make it a
- 11:02Speaker 1: one to one tie, that score holding up by the
- 11:05Speaker 1: end of period one, but Detroit pull in the head
- 11:08Speaker 1: two to one at five ten into the second period
- 11:11Speaker 1: and a scrum at the net, the puck that rolled
- 11:13Speaker 1: across the goal line was swept away by Ryan Lindgren.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Play continued and then video review coming into play confirming
- 11:20Speaker 1: the pug did completely cross the goal line, so Andrew
- 11:23Speaker 1: Kapphu came out of a lengthy drought awarded a second
- 11:26Speaker 1: goal of the season. Edmonson and Sider had the assist
- 11:30Speaker 1: on the play to make it a two to one
- 11:33Speaker 1: Red Wings lead, but the Kraken responding once again, and
- 11:37Speaker 1: not too long after that, a blast by Adam Larsen
- 11:40Speaker 1: tied the game in two, his second goal of the
- 11:42Speaker 1: season coming at six forty four. Vince done Ty Cartier
- 11:46Speaker 1: had the assist, camping off a pair of goals exchanged
- 11:49Speaker 1: in one minute and thirty four seconds. That's Larson's first
- 11:52Speaker 1: goal in eight games, and Vin's done as well, picking
- 11:55Speaker 1: up a three hundred point of his NHL career. But
- 11:59Speaker 1: the Crack not done yet. What more could they look for?
- 12:03Speaker 3: Later in the period, Larspitt right side, Tolboden up.
- 12:07Speaker 8: Top shot Larson scot.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Along Bob from Adam Larson redirected in by Chandler steven said.
- 12:24Speaker 3: He broke his stick.
- 12:25Speaker 1: On the shot.
- 12:26Speaker 3: The Seattle Cracket take a three two lead, seven fifteen
- 12:31Speaker 3: to play.
- 12:32Speaker 4: In the second. Well, Chandler Stevens said, posts up with
- 12:34Speaker 4: that slot area hash marks presents to stick. Larson gets
- 12:38Speaker 4: that shot off and it goes off the shaft of
- 12:41Speaker 4: Chandler Stephenson, stick off the left ear of John Gibson.
- 12:45Speaker 12: Oh.
- 12:45Speaker 1: At end of the day, well, they weren't done, and
- 12:47Speaker 1: Larson wasn't done either, as that shot to fletting off
- 12:50Speaker 1: of Chandler Stevenson to give the Crack In their first
- 12:53Speaker 1: lead of the ninth three to two, the goal coming
- 12:55Speaker 1: at twelve forty four Stevenson's fifth from Larson and Ellie
- 12:59Speaker 1: Tolbyden game the Kraken a three to two edge, where
- 13:02Speaker 1: at that point three separate defensemen factored on Kracking goals
- 13:05Speaker 1: for four points combined in between Ben s Dunn, Larson,
- 13:09Speaker 1: and Brandon Montour. Larson also pick it up his first
- 13:12Speaker 1: multi point game of the season and certainly the shooter's
- 13:15Speaker 1: mentality helping out the Kraken at that point deep into
- 13:19Speaker 1: the second period, and also they had a great chance
- 13:22Speaker 1: to extend the league but couldn't find the back of
- 13:24Speaker 1: the net, and for the first time it felt like
- 13:26Speaker 1: a while, the Red Wings got an up ice rush
- 13:29Speaker 1: and this time capitalized at nineteen thirty two, James Van
- 13:33Speaker 1: Riemsdyke getting his sixth goal of the season on a
- 13:35Speaker 1: shot that beat Joey Decord clean for the right circle.
- 13:38Speaker 1: JT Komfor and Edmondson had the assist on the play
- 13:41Speaker 1: to tie things up Anyone's game heading into period three
- 13:46Speaker 1: all square at three, it took a while for the
- 13:48Speaker 1: Kraken to get a shot on net, and maybe the
- 13:51Speaker 1: best chance they had Mason marsh meant right in the
- 13:54Speaker 1: middle with about roughly five minutes left, but he missed
- 13:56Speaker 1: the net, and the Cracking still pressing for offense looking
- 14:00Speaker 1: to push ahead, but the Red Wings also had a
- 14:02Speaker 1: different idea in store.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Now the Wings are back again.
- 14:05Speaker 8: Patrick Kaine walks in and scores.
- 14:15Speaker 13: Two twenty nine to play in the third, the Red
- 14:19Speaker 13: Wings take the lead late for to three NHL goal
- 14:25Speaker 13: for nine to seven for Patrick Kine.
- 14:29Speaker 1: And if you're the crack In, that is a tough
- 14:31Speaker 1: one to take because they had sustained pressure and puck
- 14:33Speaker 1: possession in the offensive zone and Vin's done trying to
- 14:36Speaker 1: veer to his left and look for a shot, maybe
- 14:38Speaker 1: off the pads of John Gibson. He got it, but
- 14:41Speaker 1: nobody parked in front of the net, unfortunately within reach
- 14:44Speaker 1: for a loose rebound, and Detroit wasting no time moving
- 14:48Speaker 1: right back up Biason. It was alexabrinkt feeding Patrick Kaine
- 14:52Speaker 1: at seventeen thirty one for the eventual game winning goal,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and has Eva pointed out goal number four ninety seven
- 14:58Speaker 1: of Patrick Kayin's a lot Austria's career to give the
- 15:01Speaker 1: Red Wings a four to three lead. The Krack and
- 15:04Speaker 1: pulling Joey to Cord for the sixth attacker, but unable
- 15:06Speaker 1: to find the equalizer before the final horn, and Detroit
- 15:10Speaker 1: hangs on four to three over the Kraken. In this
- 15:13Speaker 1: second and final matchup of the regular season series. Shots
- 15:16Speaker 1: on goal twenty seven to twenty five in favor of
- 15:19Speaker 1: the Kraken indicative other shooters mentality here for this evening,
- 15:22Speaker 1: even more so as far as shot attempts on a
- 15:25Speaker 1: five on five situation sixty four on the Kraken side
- 15:29Speaker 1: nearly identical to the Edmonton game forty seven for Detroit
- 15:33Speaker 1: as well, and as far as power plays in this one,
- 15:36Speaker 1: Detroit only had one. They scored one, so it was
- 15:39Speaker 1: a factor in this one and the Cracking coming up
- 15:42Speaker 1: empty on two power play chances. In net, the win
- 15:45Speaker 1: goes to John Gibson, who was good enough for twenty
- 15:48Speaker 1: four saves on twenty seven shots. His record is now
- 15:51Speaker 1: six seven and one. The loss of net to Joey
- 15:54Speaker 1: Decord twenty one saves on twenty five shots, he falls
- 15:58Speaker 1: to seven to seven and four on the season. Time
- 16:02Speaker 1: Now for the cors Light chillis moments of the game.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Cracking fans, you can win your chance to sent in
- 16:07Speaker 1: the cores Light silver seats go to Corslight dot Com

- 16:17Speaker 1: chill celebrate responsibly. Milestone moment the Kraken we're on the
- 16:22Speaker 1: hunt for back right here in period two now Kartshak
- 16:26Speaker 1: gets it off the boards here side done Rick Why
- 16:29Speaker 1: Larson fires.
- 16:30Speaker 8: Sco a laser from Larsen on the right side, and
- 16:42Speaker 8: the Crack and retie the.
- 16:44Speaker 14: Game thirteen sixteen to play the second twos aside well some.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Excellent four checking by the Kracking at the other end
- 16:51Speaker 4: of the ice.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Car Cha moooves dot.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Fuck back to dun Dunn slided it over to Larsen
- 16:56Speaker 4: and Larson with a C and I shot for three
- 16:58Speaker 4: different players gets second of the season.
- 17:01Speaker 1: This game's tied to two, a shot that surprisingly beat
- 17:04Speaker 1: John Gibson from the angle that Larsen took that gave
- 17:07Speaker 1: him the goal, but also Ben's done helping set him up,
- 17:10Speaker 1: picked up his three hundredth career NHL point, and that
- 17:14Speaker 1: tie things up at two, where the Krack and were
- 17:16Speaker 1: seemingly finding shot lanes and shot volume on John Gibson
- 17:21Speaker 1: in the period three. Yes, it took a while for
- 17:23Speaker 1: their first shot on net to come, but not without chances,
- 17:26Speaker 1: especially here from abutting youngster.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Now Shane Wright, he'll force it three captain down the
- 17:32Speaker 3: far side to write a shot off the bar.
- 17:35Speaker 4: And out of play. I think that hit the plumbing
- 17:37Speaker 4: on the top of the net there and up over
- 17:38Speaker 4: over the glass.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Al Kiniski called it yep. Indeed it hit the plumbing.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And Shane Wright so close to breaking out of a
- 17:46Speaker 1: five game goal scoring drought. He was shifted a bit
- 17:48Speaker 1: here in the lineup and tonight beginning his role centering
- 17:51Speaker 1: Ty Cartier and Ryan Winterton, and right here for this
- 17:55Speaker 1: evening he put up ten minutes and twenty eight seconds
- 17:58Speaker 1: of ice time, but yeah, found ways to find opportunities
- 18:02Speaker 1: as well. And assuming that he parks a goal like that,
- 18:05Speaker 1: it completely changes the tone here of this game. But
- 18:09Speaker 1: so close, but so far. That was unfortunately the theme
- 18:12Speaker 1: here for the crank in this evening as a fall
- 18:15Speaker 1: for TO three to the Red Wings. That brings us
- 18:17Speaker 1: to the Big win brought to you by the Evergreen

- 18:55Speaker 1: Doug Plagans had the call on five to sixty WQAM,

- 19:05Speaker 1: nothing is impossible. And they proved it here despite the
- 19:07Speaker 1: tough start and their injuries as well, in a game
- 19:10Speaker 1: that Florida never led until they got the overtime winner.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Sam Bennett got the winner four seconds leftt and the
- 19:17Speaker 1: Panthers ending a four game losing streak by beating Columbus
- 19:21Speaker 1: seven to six in overtime, rallying from a three goal

- 22:49Speaker 1: the two. Let's past ten seconds for a station ID
- 22:52Speaker 1: on the Global Credit Union crack An Audio Network text
- 23:07Speaker 1: us your reaction right now to this game four nine
- 23:09Speaker 1: four five to one on what you thought of the
- 23:11Speaker 1: Kraken and their play again four nine four five to
- 23:14Speaker 1: one on the KJR text line Mike Benton al Kaniski
- 23:17Speaker 1: with you. We'll react here as we get deeper and
- 23:19Speaker 1: deeper in the post game covers, but Al joining us
- 23:22Speaker 1: now downstairs here back by the cors light landing in
- 23:24Speaker 1: section twenty and now. My first thoughts on this one
- 23:27Speaker 1: is disappointing and tough because it seemed as if the
- 23:29Speaker 1: Krackn were playing a game, especially back in period two,
- 23:32Speaker 1: where they seem to be in control, but the rush
- 23:36Speaker 1: chances against them come at the wrong time. That's a
- 23:39Speaker 1: big impact. And special teams also making a big impact
- 23:42Speaker 1: as well.
- 23:43Speaker 4: Yeah, special teams as well. I think Joey deccord probably
- 23:45Speaker 4: wants at least one or two of those goals back
- 23:47Speaker 4: that were scored on him. And you know, if if
- 23:50Speaker 4: the Kraken have won or lost the last four games
- 23:53Speaker 4: three two, four three, you know their typical play over
- 23:56Speaker 4: the first twenty games. We're probably not talking about this
- 23:58Speaker 4: game quite as much because of four three game is
- 24:00Speaker 4: a crack And Hockey game in this season, It's a tight,
- 24:03Speaker 4: tightly contested game where in the third period the Cracking
- 24:06Speaker 4: have a chance to win it in regulation or take
- 24:08Speaker 4: it to overtime and at least come up with a point.
- 24:10Speaker 4: We've seen a lot of those games this season, but
- 24:13Speaker 4: coming off of that nine to four loss with Edmonton,
- 24:15Speaker 4: you were looking for a lot more. I think the
- 24:17Speaker 4: effort was there. I just think there were too many
- 24:20Speaker 4: mistakes that led to Detroit goals that put the Cracking
- 24:24Speaker 4: on the wrong side of this one.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Here's one thing that you look at because the Crack
- 24:27Speaker 1: And are in a very busy part of the schedule
- 24:29Speaker 1: right now where they play ten games in about roughly
- 24:32Speaker 1: a nineteen day span before the holiday break. So you
- 24:35Speaker 1: play take a break, play take a break, and you
- 24:38Speaker 1: have to shift the mindset pretty quickly as well. They
- 24:41Speaker 1: talked about coming out of the Edmonton game more or
- 24:43Speaker 1: less with the Pala cleanser, just trying to get a reset,
- 24:47Speaker 1: get refreshed here. So how do you come out of
- 24:49Speaker 1: this one ahead of Monday.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Well, I think you tick some of the boxes that
- 24:51Speaker 4: you liked. You liked the effort tonight, you liked the
- 24:53Speaker 4: battle tonight. I thought that Vince Dunn had a fantastic game.
- 24:57Speaker 4: He was gritty out there. I thought Adam Larson had
- 24:59Speaker 4: a great game. You you you tick those boxes and say, okay,
- 25:03Speaker 4: let's take that into the next game. But what do
- 25:05Speaker 4: we got to fix in the next game. Well, we've
- 25:07Speaker 4: got to fix our d zone a little bit more,
- 25:09Speaker 4: you know, giving up too many opportunities, too many great opportunities,
- 25:12Speaker 4: high danger chances, chances. What else twit to fix? Well,
- 25:15Speaker 4: the specialty teams, it's still not where it needs to be,
- 25:19Speaker 4: the penalty kill specifically, as well as the power play.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Crack and got a power power play last last game,
- 25:25Speaker 4: but went over to tonight. So you improve those maybe
- 25:29Speaker 4: three areas of the of the game a little bit. Monday,
- 25:32Speaker 4: you come back against Minnesota, you're probably on the winning
- 25:34Speaker 4: side of that game.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Adam Larson one goal, one assists. It is his first
- 25:38Speaker 1: multi point game of the season. Let's check in downstairs
- 25:42Speaker 1: with them as he's meeting with the media right now.
- 25:45Speaker 18: Lars, how important was it for the defensive group as
- 25:49Speaker 18: a whole just to come in and put on a
- 25:51Speaker 18: better showing then the other night. And how do you
- 25:54Speaker 18: think you guys held that for most of the game.
- 25:57Speaker 19: It's definitely a lot more solid defensively from the whole team.
- 26:05Speaker 19: I mean, we lost another one. So sitting in the
- 26:11Speaker 19: same position again.
- 26:13Speaker 18: You're you're one of the leaders of this group, and
- 26:15Speaker 18: it gets asked after every loss, but like, like, what
- 26:18Speaker 18: do you do after uh, after this one too, to
- 26:21Speaker 18: try to change the dynamic going forward?
- 26:24Speaker 19: Well, I thought we did. We did a lot of
- 26:26Speaker 19: good things today offensively. When every team goes through tough stretches,
- 26:33Speaker 19: it's it's a long season. And I mean you lose
- 26:40Speaker 19: one and then you can go on a heat or two.
- 26:43Speaker 19: So we're just gonna stay stay positive. I thought today
- 26:47Speaker 19: was a lot better than the last three. So it's
- 26:52Speaker 19: definitely a step in the right direction. But uh, we
- 26:56Speaker 19: have to start stringing some games together.
- 26:58Speaker 18: Here, you got your well you got the shot through
- 27:01Speaker 18: a screen. I mean it looked like you guys were
- 27:02Speaker 18: getting a lot more pucks two than thatt. I mean,
- 27:05Speaker 18: how much has that aspect of the game been picking
- 27:07Speaker 18: up you think.
- 27:07Speaker 15: For the team?
- 27:09Speaker 19: I mean, yeah, it's it's nice to create some offense.
- 27:16Speaker 19: But I think that's a team we have to do
- 27:20Speaker 19: a little bit, do a little bit better job offensively
- 27:23Speaker 19: and try to we're creating creating chances, but we just
- 27:28Speaker 19: have to put them into that too.
- 27:31Speaker 1: That is cracking defenseman Adam Larson coming off a two
- 27:34Speaker 1: point night, the cracking with seventy six shot attempts that
- 27:38Speaker 1: nearly around the ballpark what they had back in the
- 27:40Speaker 1: Edmonton games. So they are finding ways to generate. But
- 27:43Speaker 1: as Adam Larson said, you got to find a way
- 27:45Speaker 1: to get pucks on net. But I go back and
- 27:47Speaker 1: think the losing streak is now at four in a row.
- 27:50Speaker 1: They're winless in five straight games. They got to get
- 27:52Speaker 1: this turnaround quick to stay in the playoff race right
- 27:54Speaker 1: now out But that balanced mindset is what has got
- 27:57Speaker 1: to get them going back in the right direction.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Here Well said, every team goes through this. You have
- 28:01Speaker 4: some stinker games and then you have some slumps in
- 28:05Speaker 4: the schedule as well. This is one of those slumps
- 28:07Speaker 4: where you're on on a skid right now. You've got
- 28:09Speaker 4: to get it turned around because you've put yourself in
- 28:11Speaker 4: a great position from game one of the season. Now
- 28:14Speaker 4: you're starting to lose a little bit of that position
- 28:16Speaker 4: because of the slump. The sooner you get it turned around,
- 28:18Speaker 4: the sooner you get back into that playoff conversation.
- 28:21Speaker 1: Larsen Stevenson montor the goals on the Crake inside it
- 28:25Speaker 1: is comp Van Riemsdyke Finny and the game winner to
- 28:29Speaker 1: Patrick Kaine as a crack and fall four to three
- 28:31Speaker 1: to the Red Wings this evening. Back after this, you're
- 28:34Speaker 1: listening to the Global Credit Union crack An audio network.

- 34:26Speaker 1: one points I bring back in al Koniski. It doesn't
- 34:29Speaker 1: get easier here in this clustered Western Conference.
- 34:31Speaker 4: No, it certainly doesn't. You're into this time of the
- 34:33Speaker 4: year where you know it's not playoff push time yet,
- 34:36Speaker 4: but between now and probably the end of the calendar year,
- 34:39Speaker 4: you want to grab as many points as you can.
- 34:41Speaker 4: You got the Christmas break coming up, you got the
- 34:43Speaker 4: break in February coming up. The Cracker to go have
- 34:45Speaker 4: seventeen games in January. That could be good or bad,
- 34:48Speaker 4: by the way, because it's a it's a rough part
- 34:50Speaker 4: of the schedule, but it's also an opportunity to gather
- 34:52Speaker 4: a lot of points in that month as well. So,
- 34:54Speaker 4: but between now and the end of the calendar you're
- 34:56Speaker 4: every team's looking for a lot of wins.
- 34:58Speaker 1: And you're trying to hit the pedal to medal here
- 35:00Speaker 1: because the Olympic break is not too far away after that,
- 35:03Speaker 1: and the Crack and gotta do so for their next
- 35:05Speaker 1: road game and it could be a big one. The

- 39:45Speaker 1: down to the thinnest of margins, and the Cracking come
- 39:48Speaker 1: up on the short end of it, unfortunately, basing a
- 39:51Speaker 1: couple of plays and special teams as well for to
- 39:53Speaker 1: three Red Wings over the Kracking as Detroit takes both

- 40:22Speaker 1: five Lane Lambert his reaction coming up later here as
- 40:25Speaker 1: will take you to about a little halfway between bottom
- 40:30Speaker 1: man top of the hour. Here I'm joining again by
- 40:32Speaker 1: al Kiniski right back by the cors Light landing in
- 40:34Speaker 1: section twenty and now I'll kind of refresh my thoughts
- 40:37Speaker 1: from a few minutes ago, because this one it stings
- 40:41Speaker 1: and it seems I think disappointing because you get inside
- 40:44Speaker 1: five minutes you're effectively playing for overtime at that point,
- 40:47Speaker 1: and the Kraken were so close. It did so many
- 40:49Speaker 1: things right here in their game. But as we said,
- 40:52Speaker 1: and we've heard this from Jordan Everley, it can go
- 40:54Speaker 1: down to the thinnest of margins here in this league.
- 40:57Speaker 1: And despite pouring a ton of pucks toward the Detroit net,
- 41:00Speaker 1: a couple of rush chances and special teams and even
- 41:03Speaker 1: maybe one or two goals by Joey to Cord, that's
- 41:06Speaker 1: your difference.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I think of the the proverbial tuggle war is
- 41:09Speaker 4: what we always like to talk about, and I think
- 41:11Speaker 4: the kracking, you know, that one hurts them a little bit,
- 41:14Speaker 4: stings the word you were, that you're used. And I agree,
- 41:16Speaker 4: which as you're pulling that rope, you know, back every
- 41:19Speaker 4: time Detroit pulls it to their side, and you feel
- 41:21Speaker 4: like you're in this game and it's gonna come down
- 41:23Speaker 4: to the you know, a final minute, maybe overtime, and
- 41:25Speaker 4: then late in that third period they give it a hard,
- 41:27Speaker 4: yank and sit you down on your butts. And that's
- 41:29Speaker 4: hard because you feel like you played well enough to
- 41:32Speaker 4: deserve something out of this game, and unfortunately you're gonna
- 41:35Speaker 4: walk away with nothing.
- 41:36Speaker 1: We talk often about how much goals scored for or
- 41:40Speaker 1: goals against first minute of a period, last minute of
- 41:45Speaker 1: a period, or in this case, final minutes of regulation
- 41:48Speaker 1: can really set the tone or even decide a game.
- 41:51Speaker 1: And twice that came back to hot the krack in
- 41:54Speaker 1: here for this evening. James Van Riemsdyke scored final minute
- 41:57Speaker 1: of the second period. Then Patrick Kane as well gets
- 42:01Speaker 1: one with seventeen thirty one gone by in period three.
- 42:04Speaker 1: But I think the big story as far as all
- 42:07Speaker 1: of this was a spy how well they played. It
- 42:09Speaker 1: was that rush chance that Kin eventually cashed in on
- 42:12Speaker 1: that came back to haunt the cracking on their side.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yet they had the puck two undred feet down the
- 42:16Speaker 1: other way a few seconds just before that.
- 42:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and it was actually Patrick Kain that gave the
- 42:22Speaker 4: puck away, that gave the crack and that scoring opportunity
- 42:24Speaker 4: at the other end of the ice. So it gives
- 42:25Speaker 4: the puck away and then it comes back and scores
- 42:27Speaker 4: the game winning goal. Again, that stings a lot there,
- 42:30Speaker 4: But you know, goals that are late in the first
- 42:32Speaker 4: and second period, they sting because you lose that momentum
- 42:35Speaker 4: going into those breaks. A goal that's late in the
- 42:38Speaker 4: third period, especially a go ahead goal like that, It
- 42:41Speaker 4: stings because all of a sudden you have to change
- 42:42Speaker 4: your game. You were going for that even strength game
- 42:47Speaker 4: winning goal. Maybe you go into overtime and you end
- 42:49Speaker 4: up put the point, but all of a sudden, there's
- 42:50Speaker 4: two twenty eight left in the game, and you have
- 42:52Speaker 4: to pull out all the stops. You got to pull
- 42:53Speaker 4: your goal tod, you have to take risks, and that's
- 42:56Speaker 4: a very different way of attacking the end of a
- 42:59Speaker 4: third period than it is when it's three to three.
- 43:01Speaker 4: So it definitely stings here tonight, taking that loss and
- 43:04Speaker 4: not getting anything for it. But you know, I'm looking
- 43:06Speaker 4: at the standings and there's good news in here. I'm
- 43:09Speaker 4: the ever optimist, Mike Sure. The krack and have between
- 43:12Speaker 4: two and four games in hand against everybody in there
- 43:16Speaker 4: in the Western Conference except for Vegas, who they have
- 43:18Speaker 4: won on. Vegas has twenty seven game played games played,
- 43:21Speaker 4: Seattle has twenty six, but there's teams with twenty eight
- 43:24Speaker 4: twenty nine thirty games played. So depending on what the
- 43:27Speaker 4: Kracking can do with those two to four games, they
- 43:30Speaker 4: could either continue to slide down the conference or move
- 43:34Speaker 4: way back up to the top again again. They got
- 43:36Speaker 4: to get wins out out of them, and then it
- 43:37Speaker 4: matters who they're playing as well, not taking it to
- 43:40Speaker 4: overtime and giving up extra points. But my point is
- 43:43Speaker 4: is that they have games in hand, and if they
- 43:44Speaker 4: take advantage of those games in hand, they're gonna be
- 43:47Speaker 4: right back into this playoff hunt.
- 43:48Speaker 1: And they are very important ones because we have just
- 43:51Speaker 1: seen Detroit, Minnesota is coming in next. They have been
- 43:54Speaker 1: on a heater. The Kings are playing well right now,
- 43:57Speaker 1: Utah is still hanging around in this mix. And then
- 43:59Speaker 1: you have the ten one thousand ton wagon that is
- 44:02Speaker 1: the Colorado Avalanche coming in here on the sixteenth, and
- 44:05Speaker 1: then for good measure, the young San Jose team that
- 44:08Speaker 1: is turning plenty of heads on that next lengthy road
- 44:11Speaker 1: trip before the holiday break. Then the Anaheim Ducks. Yes,
- 44:14Speaker 1: dare we say as of this evening the first place
- 44:18Speaker 1: Anaheim Ducks away, and then the Kings again awaiting last
- 44:22Speaker 1: game before the halliday break. There are plenty of important
- 44:24Speaker 1: points they got to clean off the table here coming up.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Yeah, no easy wins, and there there just aren't any
- 44:28Speaker 4: easy wins. I you can't look at teams that way.
- 44:31Speaker 4: We saw Columbus come in here with the flu and
- 44:33Speaker 4: back to backs and goaltenders playing both games, and you
- 44:36Speaker 4: know that that was a tight game. We you know,
- 44:38Speaker 4: we've seen teams below the Craken battle hearts. You can't
- 44:41Speaker 4: look at the games and say, well, this is a
- 44:42Speaker 4: this is an easier game to win. Every game has
- 44:46Speaker 4: to be played with the kind of battle and effort
- 44:48Speaker 4: you saw here tonight. Sometimes you're gonna end up on
- 44:51Speaker 4: the wrong side of it. But if you bring that
- 44:53Speaker 4: level every single game, you're gonna end up with points
- 44:55Speaker 4: more often than you're not.
- 44:57Speaker 1: What was your first reaction to shot selection this evening?
- 45:00Speaker 1: We got pucks toward the net, but did they still
- 45:02Speaker 1: pass up too many shots or were you satisfied as
- 45:05Speaker 1: far as what they did.
- 45:06Speaker 4: I thought the first power play they passed up too
- 45:08Speaker 4: many shots. And the only reason I say that is
- 45:11Speaker 4: that one of the favorite things I like about Vince
- 45:13Speaker 4: Dunn's game is his shot and Chandler Stevenson is more
- 45:17Speaker 4: of a playmaker. He can feed the puck through tight areas,
- 45:20Speaker 4: get it to the front of the net, and Donne
- 45:22Speaker 4: was giving it off to Stevenson for shots a couple
- 45:25Speaker 4: of times. I'd like to see that kind of be
- 45:27Speaker 4: a give and go a tap to tap back and
- 45:30Speaker 4: forth and have done shoot that puck with that big
- 45:32Speaker 4: heavy shot, because heavy shots are hard on blockers, they're
- 45:36Speaker 4: hard on defenseman, they're hard on goaltenders. So that was
- 45:39Speaker 4: the only thing I thought where they could have put
- 45:41Speaker 4: the puck on net a little bit more. But I
- 45:43Speaker 4: would say over sixty minutes, I was real happy with
- 45:46Speaker 4: the shot attempts and the final shots on goal.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Let's talk penalty kill, shall we, because it is becoming
- 45:53Speaker 1: habitual and well, yeah, unfortunately, yeah, yes we do, because
- 45:56Speaker 1: this is something that the cracknap to clean up here obviously,
- 45:59Speaker 1: And I think you look at this here from the
- 46:00Speaker 1: bright side, you only go down to man once here
- 46:03Speaker 1: in this game. That says a lot here for discipline,
- 46:05Speaker 1: where it even felt like at some points where you know,
- 46:09Speaker 1: any hit could have been called and it was maybe inconsistent,
- 46:12Speaker 1: but still, I mean the penalty kill, I mean, it
- 46:14Speaker 1: just kind of feels like it's at this point where
- 46:16Speaker 1: it's that you take a penalty and it's in to
- 46:18Speaker 1: hold your bread territory out. And I think maybe you
- 46:21Speaker 1: look back on that penalty kill where Detroit worth the
- 46:23Speaker 1: puck around to Emmont Finney. You had a great say
- 46:25Speaker 1: by Joey to Core, but at one point you nearly
- 46:28Speaker 1: had a three on zero and then Detroit gets about
- 46:30Speaker 1: four or five passes right on through the scenes. And
- 46:33Speaker 1: I think my first reaction here is when you get
- 46:36Speaker 1: back to basics, the first thing that you want to
- 46:37Speaker 1: do is just find a way to keep pugs from
- 46:40Speaker 1: out of the interior.
- 46:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's the start of it. I think that,
- 46:43Speaker 4: as you pointed out very intelligently, not taking penalties is
- 46:47Speaker 4: also a big part of penalty killing. You know, the
- 46:48Speaker 4: crack and only had to kill Off once a night. Unfortunately,
- 46:51Speaker 4: they weren't able to stop Detroit on that one. But
- 46:54Speaker 4: you limit potential goals that never find their way into
- 46:57Speaker 4: the back of the net if you just stay on
- 46:58Speaker 4: the penalty box. So that step one, step two is
- 47:01Speaker 4: they've got to get find a way to you know,
- 47:04Speaker 4: not allow teams to get set up, or if they
- 47:06Speaker 4: do get set up, create pressure, close passing lanes a
- 47:10Speaker 4: lot quicker, and not give them those scene passes that
- 47:13Speaker 4: resulted in that goal tonight.
- 47:14Speaker 1: Four nine four five one. Text us right now on
- 47:17Speaker 1: the kJ R text line again four nine four five one,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and tell us what you thought of the Kraken and
- 47:22Speaker 1: their game, whatever is on your mind. After the Knight's
- 47:25Speaker 1: won four to three the crack and lose the Red
- 47:26Speaker 1: Wings again four nine four five One reaction from Twitter
- 47:30Speaker 1: NX Jeff saying that about Joey to Cord had to
- 47:34Speaker 1: get a save in there, but Jeff's thinking that he
- 47:36Speaker 1: is in the same since coming back here from injury,
- 47:39Speaker 1: and more reaction on that here from the two oh
- 47:41Speaker 1: six saying that they were at the game. Is there
- 47:43Speaker 1: something wrong here with Joey as far as his injury
- 47:46Speaker 1: that from the two oh six I thought Joey to
- 47:49Speaker 1: Cord it seemed to be as if, heading toward the
- 47:52Speaker 1: forty minute mark that he was building a strong case
- 47:54Speaker 1: for a redemption game. And I can't help but think
- 47:57Speaker 1: the safe he had on to brink it back in
- 47:59Speaker 1: the second the safe he had back at the Red
- 48:01Speaker 1: Wing power play where they were creating an odd man
- 48:04Speaker 1: opportunity that was big as well back in period one.
- 48:07Speaker 1: But that goal by James Van Riemsdyke op the rush
- 48:11Speaker 1: was a game changer and won that he saw cleanly.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I think that's true, And you know,
- 48:15Speaker 4: the last really good game, I would say Joey Decord
- 48:19Speaker 4: played with the Islander game where both goaltenders got shutouts,
- 48:22Speaker 4: and obviously the crack And lost it in the shootout,
- 48:24Speaker 4: but he gets a shutout in that game, and I
- 48:26Speaker 4: think that, you know, I kind of expected maybe to
- 48:29Speaker 4: see Grubauer tonight. I'm really expecting to see him on Monday.
- 48:34Speaker 4: I think Joey Decor just needs a break, extra couple
- 48:37Speaker 4: of days to get his game back. But I see
- 48:39Speaker 4: no reason why he can't get it back. And you're
- 48:43Speaker 4: not wrong like that. That was a big save by Joey.
- 48:46Speaker 4: To court on that Van reams like shot and you
- 48:48Speaker 4: know you want to see those as few at times
- 48:51Speaker 4: as possible over sixty minutes. But when they happen, and
- 48:54Speaker 4: they do every game, your goltender comes up with a
- 48:56Speaker 4: big save that's as good as a goal at the
- 48:58Speaker 4: other end.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Vicky on Twitter an next saying overall good until they
- 49:02Speaker 1: stopped shooting and having an f front presence in period three.
- 49:06Speaker 1: So here's the difference. The crack And only had five
- 49:09Speaker 1: shots on goal in that third period, but still had
- 49:11Speaker 1: their chances, and this is where I think the difference comes,
- 49:14Speaker 1: and just trying to get pugs on net Shane Wrights
- 49:17Speaker 1: was by the thinnest of margins and he almost went
- 49:19Speaker 1: barred down on John Gibson. You find open lanes. I
- 49:22Speaker 1: think for Shane Wright, more of those goals will certainly come.
- 49:25Speaker 1: I like his efforts so far, at least for the
- 49:27Speaker 1: most part. Tonight where he got moved to the fourth
- 49:29Speaker 1: line between Ty Cartier and Ryan Winterton, Mason Marchman. This
- 49:33Speaker 1: is where it's stung wide open between the circles. Late
- 49:37Speaker 1: third period. You find a way to tuck that one in.
- 49:40Speaker 1: It's a game changer.
- 49:41Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, just you know, just missed the net. It
- 49:43Speaker 4: was a big rebound that came out front. There were
- 49:45Speaker 4: also rebounds that ended up in front of John Gibson
- 49:48Speaker 4: that the krack and just couldn't get to, whether they
- 49:51Speaker 4: were tied up with other players or they're just too
- 49:52Speaker 4: far away from it. So the shots that resulted in
- 49:56Speaker 4: rebounds were there. Unfortunately, cracking players just weren't around them
- 49:59Speaker 4: to put them in the back of the Again.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Tonight's goals coming on the Kraken side from Brandon Montour,
- 50:04Speaker 1: Adam Larsen, Chandler Stevenson as well. Ben's done, picking up
- 50:08Speaker 1: his three hundredth career National Hockey League Point Detroit getting
- 50:11Speaker 1: a power play goal from Emmett Finney, also from Andrew Kopp.
- 50:16Speaker 1: As far as their offense, James van Riemsdyke tied the
- 50:18Speaker 1: game and Patrick Kine with a winner with two twenty
- 50:22Speaker 1: nine leftier in regulation. So the Kraken fall four to
- 50:25Speaker 1: three here to the Red Wings, and they're trying to
- 50:28Speaker 1: find a way to balance right back coming up in
- 50:31Speaker 1: their next game, and that won't be too far away,
- 50:34Speaker 1: that is Monday against the Minnesota While before I let
- 50:37Speaker 1: you go out, when we talk about how the crack
- 50:39Speaker 1: and are generating looks, you know, I had this one
- 50:42Speaker 1: reaction here from Twitter as far as how they're balancing
- 50:46Speaker 1: their lineup with their centers as well. You have Shane Wright,
- 50:50Speaker 1: and the question is how often do you play him?
- 50:53Speaker 1: But here's the balance that you got to go through,
- 50:55Speaker 1: because I think Matty Beniers is improving his game as
- 50:58Speaker 1: far as a two hundred foot presence, he's the best
- 51:00Speaker 1: playmaker right now, and maybe you want more than three
- 51:02Speaker 1: goals off the bat, but when you get that kind
- 51:04Speaker 1: of effort and that kind of defense, you keep putting
- 51:07Speaker 1: him out there. Berkeley Catton also shifting around that changes
- 51:10Speaker 1: matters here, and then you have face off guys here
- 51:12Speaker 1: with Chandler Stevenson and Freddie Goodreau, which you have to
- 51:15Speaker 1: factor in as well.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Yeah, and typically when I look at lines, I look
- 51:18Speaker 4: at centnermon and most Cinnamon as being playmakers. So you
- 51:20Speaker 4: got Venier, Stevenson, Goodreau right, and sometimes Catton as well.
- 51:24Speaker 4: What you're trying to figure out is which are the
- 51:27Speaker 4: right shooters to have on their wings. Which are the
- 51:29Speaker 4: guys that can dig pucks out of the corners and
- 51:31Speaker 4: get them back to the defenseman or take them to
- 51:33Speaker 4: the front of the net or set up for those
- 51:35Speaker 4: one timers by those centnermen. That doesn't mean the Cinnamon
- 51:37Speaker 4: don't score, obviously, but I think they're also they also
- 51:40Speaker 4: tend to be the stronger playmakers in those lines. So
- 51:43Speaker 4: I think that finding that right combination is all Lane
- 51:47Speaker 4: Lambert's ever trying to do. And tonight it started out
- 51:49Speaker 4: with Marchman, Goodroau and Katon on that third line, and
- 51:52Speaker 4: you saw he flipped right in Goodrow midway through the game,
- 51:55Speaker 4: just to see if that was a better tick on
- 51:57Speaker 4: the on the combination box, if you will. That's that's
- 52:02Speaker 4: that's the constant, uh, you know, Goldenegger looking.
- 52:06Speaker 1: For crack and have one day off in between games
- 52:09Speaker 1: to get it out of their system and then get
- 52:11Speaker 1: right back reset and prepare for Minnesota coming up here
- 52:15Speaker 1: on Monday night. Al, thanks so much. We'll cut you,
- 52:18Speaker 1: Louise and talk to you on Monday. Appreciate you as always,
- 52:20Speaker 1: my friend.
- 52:20Speaker 4: Appreciate you too, Mike.
- 52:21Speaker 1: We're gonna come right back. More reaction from crackenhead coach
- 52:24Speaker 1: Lane Lambert after this as the Kraken battling all the
- 52:27Speaker 1: way into the end but fall four to three to
- 52:29Speaker 1: the Detroit Red Wings here at Climate Pledge Arena, Lane
- 52:33Speaker 1: Lambert his reaction after this, and this is talking kracking
- 52:36Speaker 1: on ninety three to three kJ RFM.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Now back to ducking kracking with Mike Minton on your
- 52:42Speaker 2: home of a krack in Sports, raining You and Letty
- 52:44Speaker 2: three point three kJ.
- 52:46Speaker 1: R FM Cracking getting goals from Brandon Montour, Adam Larson
- 52:50Speaker 1: and Chandler Stevenson, but Detroit, after tying the game late
- 52:54Speaker 1: in the second period, gets a late third period winner
- 52:56Speaker 1: from Patrick Caine. Four to three Red Wings over the
- 52:59Speaker 1: Kraken is final. Mike Benton again with you back by
- 53:02Speaker 1: the course, light landing and section twenty. Reaction here from
- 53:05Speaker 1: Twitter and X from Rob saying the crack and looking
- 53:08Speaker 1: way better than that in the past week or so.
- 53:10Speaker 1: Didn't get it done today, but they were in it
- 53:13Speaker 1: until the final two and a half and it's here
- 53:14Speaker 1: this one. So got to keep the heads up here
- 53:17Speaker 1: and keep this fight going for Monday and Wednesday. That
- 53:20Speaker 1: from Rob on Twitter NX. More reaction from downstairs right
- 53:24Speaker 1: now with cracking head coach Lane Lambert coach penalty kill
- 53:29Speaker 1: the struggle all season that've got up seven of the
- 53:32Speaker 1: last eight power play opportunities.
- 53:34Speaker 6: What do you attribute those struggles to. There's a variation
- 53:40Speaker 6: of things that's, you know, contributing to it. And you
- 53:46Speaker 6: know it starts face off wise, we're not winning enough
- 53:48Speaker 6: face offs, so we pretty much start every every penalty
- 53:54Speaker 6: kill on our heels is supposed to get getting the
- 53:57Speaker 6: pucks down starts there. But you know, we we certainly
- 54:04Speaker 6: haven't done a very good job and we know this,
- 54:09Speaker 6: and you know something's got to be done about it,
- 54:12Speaker 6: you know, and there's only one way to go.
- 54:15Speaker 18: Coach in general, what was your assessment assessment of the
- 54:17Speaker 18: game tonight and how it played out.
- 54:19Speaker 6: I thought it was a good game. I thought our
- 54:21Speaker 6: guys competed, we played hard. You know, it was a game.
- 54:28Speaker 6: I guess you could say that could have went either way,
- 54:31Speaker 6: you know, and we we had plenty of chances. We
- 54:35Speaker 6: threw plenty of bucks at the net. We've been doing
- 54:37Speaker 6: that a lot better lately. I was real happy with
- 54:41Speaker 6: our compete level tonight, And.
- 54:43Speaker 19: Then this morning I asked about Jimmie Lexiak and him
- 54:46Speaker 19: potentially not playing.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Now I ask kind of the same question.
- 54:49Speaker 14: What what was the went into that decision?
- 54:52Speaker 6: Uh, Mahura, it was time for him to get back
- 54:56Speaker 6: into into a game. He's been working hard. He played
- 55:00Speaker 6: well when he you know, when he was playing early
- 55:02Speaker 6: on in the season, up until you know, the Saint
- 55:05Speaker 6: Louis game, when Monty came back. So it was time
- 55:08Speaker 6: for him to get into a game. What did you
- 55:10Speaker 6: think of how he played? I thought he played well.
- 55:12Speaker 6: I thought he moved the puck well. I thought he competed.
- 55:15Speaker 6: I thought he battled and he looked. He looked good
- 55:17Speaker 6: for a guy who hasn't played maybe in a calendar month.
- 55:20Speaker 6: How would you assess Matty Baniers's game tonight? I thought
- 55:24Speaker 6: Maddy was he he was on pucks, he was battling.
- 55:28Speaker 6: You know, he he played a typical two hundred foot game.
- 55:34Speaker 1: That reaction from crackinghead coach Lane Lambert. We were talking
- 55:37Speaker 1: about Matty Baniers earlier here on how the two hundred
- 55:39Speaker 1: foot game applies for how the crack it had to
- 55:41Speaker 1: be in these games compete, and you saw a lot
- 55:44Speaker 1: of that here at times from Beaniers. And maybe he
- 55:47Speaker 1: had a subpar night faceoffs circle y seven face offs
- 55:50Speaker 1: won eleven losses well, but logan twenty fifty two of
- 55:53Speaker 1: ice time also chipping in offensively here with a goal
- 55:57Speaker 1: to Brandon Montor and Beneers again and trying to get
- 56:00Speaker 1: this thing steered right back as well in the right direction,
- 56:04Speaker 1: still finding a way to contribute offensively. On top of that,
- 56:07Speaker 1: his twelve assists right now lead the Kraken fifteen points
- 56:11Speaker 1: on the campaign right now, Tiwood, Jaden Schwartz, and Jordan
- 56:16Speaker 1: Eberley as well, and Alaine Lambert's point as far as
- 56:19Speaker 1: the face offs as well, the Kraken were a bit
- 56:21Speaker 1: on their heels and face off circle wise. Of course,
- 56:24Speaker 1: they only had one penalty killed try to get their
- 56:26Speaker 1: way out of it. There were one of two on
- 56:27Speaker 1: those draws, but overall Detroit had the upper hand as
- 56:30Speaker 1: far as the face off circle, so that's a big
- 56:32Speaker 1: key as far as how this one went fifty six percent,
- 56:35Speaker 1: the Red Wings were at the faceoff top. But as
- 56:38Speaker 1: far as turning pucks up, Bice much improved effort here
- 56:41Speaker 1: as well, as he pointed out with a Kraken generating
- 56:45Speaker 1: tonight five on five, why sixty four shot attempts here
- 56:49Speaker 1: in this game and overall seventy six on NET to
- 56:53Speaker 1: sixty on the Red Wings side. So we'll see when
- 56:56Speaker 1: Jamie Alexiak gets back in. But Josh Mhura stepping in
- 57:00Speaker 1: three hits the compete level certainly there and that will
- 57:03Speaker 1: be an interesting dynamic to see what transpires here when
- 57:07Speaker 1: the Krack can take on the Minnesota Wild that's up
- 57:10Speaker 1: next aka the Freddie Gadreau game in the second game
- 57:13Speaker 1: of the homestand he'll face his former teammates as with
- 57:16Speaker 1: a Wild lost to night to Vancouver. But I have
- 57:18Speaker 1: caught fire for much of this past month, going eleven
- 57:21Speaker 1: to one and two, and they had a twelve game
- 57:24Speaker 1: point streak until losing to Calgary two days ago four
- 57:28Speaker 1: to one. But yes, per volstep a big story in
- 57:31Speaker 1: net here for Minnesota four shutouts in six games at
- 57:34Speaker 1: one point was the NHL Rookie of the Month in November.
- 57:38Speaker 1: But the Krack can know they got to find a
- 57:40Speaker 1: way to contain the big stars and Carilla Caprisov and
- 57:42Speaker 1: Matt Boldy capri saw fourteen points and nine games against
- 57:46Speaker 1: the Kraken Boldi with thirteen and ten. If they can
- 57:49Speaker 1: find a way to keep them in check, where they
- 57:51Speaker 1: could be in business. Certainly that game coming up again
- 57:54Speaker 1: on Monday, right back here at Climate Pledge Arena, face
- 57:57Speaker 1: off at seven o'clock on aras well at six thirty,
- 58:02Speaker 1: and we'll do it for here. Our thanks to you
- 58:04Speaker 1: for your reaction. Also our thanks to Travis Mulger, our
- 58:07Speaker 1: technical director, and Terry Ryan, our on site engineer as
- 58:11Speaker 1: at will do it for here. For al Kadiski, this
- 58:14Speaker 1: is Mike Benton saying good nights from Climbing Pledge Arena
- 58:17Speaker 1: and certainly thank you for joining us. Your final score
- 58:21Speaker 1: once again, Red Wings four and the Kraken three talk
- 58:25Speaker 1: to you Monday. This is Talking Kraken on ninety three
- 58:27Speaker 1: to three KJRFM.
