- 0:00Speaker 1: The most anticipated IPOs. It's a lot of them.
- 0:05Speaker 2: For me, going sticking with the two tech or four
- 0:09Speaker 2: quadrant Anthropic, Open AI, and a real data bricks. Of course,
- 0:15Speaker 2: SpaceX is an obvious one because it's right there. I
- 0:18Speaker 2: think Stripe missed this window a couple of years ago.
- 0:21Speaker 2: But if I'm going into this next season of tech dominance,
- 0:26Speaker 2: I think Anthropic is right there to be one of
- 0:28Speaker 2: the greatest enterprise companies of all time. Open AI second,
- 0:33Speaker 2: I really like and a Reil, I like Lucky as
- 0:36Speaker 2: a CEO. And then for me, fourth would be Data Brooks.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Those are my my four I PO horsemen that I love.
- 0:43Speaker 2: What about you.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Guys, Yeah, I'm I'm anticipating. I mean SpaceX is here.
- 0:49Speaker 3: I think they said that this week after the court
- 0:52Speaker 3: case kind of got settled with opening. I'm looking forward
- 0:57Speaker 3: to see them. I PO for a number of regions
- 1:00Speaker 3: just because of the heat that they've taken kind of
- 1:03Speaker 3: they've they've fallen out of favor.
- 1:05Speaker 1: The usage rate is still there, people still using it
- 1:08Speaker 1: on daily. I'm still using it daily, but.
- 1:11Speaker 3: More so from and this is like kind of adjacent,
- 1:16Speaker 3: but like I just believe in Microsoft.
- 1:19Speaker 1: I know Microsoft has been beating down.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's kind of kind of got caught in the software
- 1:23Speaker 3: spy cycle, kind of got caught in the open Ai
- 1:26Speaker 3: how they generate revenue cycle.
- 1:29Speaker 1: And so I've been investing in Microsoft over.
- 1:31Speaker 3: The past months and nice returns, right, yeah, I mean
- 1:37Speaker 3: it was down there in the three seventies and.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Eighteen. Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 3: At that, at these levels, you gotta you gotta make
- 1:45Speaker 3: a move. I saw Bill Ackman, you know, brought up
- 1:48Speaker 3: a bunch of shares. But the IPO of open Ai,
- 1:54Speaker 3: it's interesting because you figure, I think they lowered their
- 1:58Speaker 3: amount of ownership inside Opening Eye, I think twenty seven percent.
- 2:01Speaker 3: So you figure that if this thing IPO is at
- 2:04Speaker 3: a trillion, which is very possible, right. We just saw Cerebris,
- 2:07Speaker 3: you know, think they're gonna open at one hundred and
- 2:10Speaker 3: ten a share and then run up to three three
- 2:12Speaker 3: fifty Obviously is pulled back here, which is why we
- 2:14Speaker 3: told people, hey, give it six months. But let's just
- 2:17Speaker 3: say that open ai opens at a trillion. Now you're
- 2:19Speaker 3: talking about two hundred and seventy billion that Microsoft now has,
- 2:23Speaker 3: and so.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'll be interested to see how that moves.
- 2:26Speaker 3: When the announcement of the IPO for open Ai hits
- 2:29Speaker 3: that that is one and obviously Anthropic been huge on
- 2:32Speaker 3: Anthropic for years. I mean the use Like every day
- 2:38Speaker 3: I'm figuring out new things to do with Claude and
- 2:40Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my gosh, I do even know we
- 2:42Speaker 3: can do that. And so like social media is helping
- 2:44Speaker 3: that because people are using it. I'm even using Gemini
- 2:48Speaker 3: to help me figure out what you do with geminis
- 2:50Speaker 3: getting better? Yeah, it is. It's elite, man, it's illegal.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I went from the free the free tear when I
- 2:58Speaker 3: first started. Then I went up to the nineteen ninety
- 3:01Speaker 3: out whatever it was, and now I'm at like one
- 3:03Speaker 3: a month.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just like that was the highest tier I saw,
- 3:08Speaker 3: and then I ran out of tokens. While I was creating,
- 3:11Speaker 3: I was I was actually building it.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Oh and you gotta wait.
- 3:13Speaker 2: For five Oh my god, come back at eleven thirty?
- 3:18Speaker 1: What yo?
- 3:19Speaker 4: That's what I said.
- 3:20Speaker 3: It was like, you come back in an hour now,
- 3:23Speaker 3: I'm like, no, no, no, it's a come back or
- 3:25Speaker 3: updated your subscription.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I'm like, nah, take it, take it.
- 3:29Speaker 3: And every day just locked in at least I would
- 3:32Speaker 3: probably say an hour to two hours of just nothing
- 3:35Speaker 3: else but trying to figure out new things to do
- 3:37Speaker 3: on Claude. So I'm huge into what Anthropic is going
- 3:42Speaker 3: to do when the IPOs and I would put data
- 3:43Speaker 3: bricks in there too. Data bricks again that story, that story,
- 3:49Speaker 3: So those those would be my three for sure.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Everything is on hold right now for SpaceX, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 5: shoutouts to change early investing in SpaceX. Shout out to
- 3:57Speaker 5: oh man, it's a few I don't know, she won't
- 4:00Speaker 5: me to say this or not, but Angela Yee early
- 4:03Speaker 5: invested in SpaceX. She got exposure to SpaceX. I was
- 4:06Speaker 5: talking to her the other day. There's a few people
- 4:09Speaker 5: that got that at SpaceX exposure. There's a few people
- 4:12Speaker 5: that got that SpaceX exposure that's waiting for this. But
- 4:15Speaker 5: I think even with the brother Atlas, very Atlas, when
- 4:23Speaker 5: he was saying, like from another perspective of this is
- 4:26Speaker 5: creating like a whole new wave of wealth that's going
- 4:31Speaker 5: to get deployed back into the private markets for you know,
- 4:34Speaker 5: really a select few people that had the opportunity to
- 4:36Speaker 5: invest in those private companies, Like these companies are going
- 4:39Speaker 5: to make more money than all of the I pos
- 4:42Speaker 5: in the last twenty years put together. So now that
- 4:45Speaker 5: that's gonna make, you know, another tremendous wealth win fall
- 4:50Speaker 5: for all of these people that actually invested in these companies,
- 4:54Speaker 5: and that's going to get recycled back into the into
- 4:57Speaker 5: the private markets as well. So be interested to see
- 5:00Speaker 5: how that impacts markets when there's gonna be a whole
- 5:04Speaker 5: new class of billionaires that's made just from a few
- 5:07Speaker 5: of these IPOs.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's so true. I think what makes
- 5:13Speaker 1: it very interesting.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Is that we actually know people that are in some
- 5:18Speaker 3: of these rounds, which is different from any time I
- 5:20Speaker 3: could think of where you actually know a person, or
- 5:23Speaker 3: you know two or three people or five.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Like, there's people that you know that have.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Been in some of the early rounds of some of
- 5:29Speaker 3: these companies that go on an IPO, which is which
- 5:31Speaker 3: is really really incredible.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But that's the tricky part too, the recycling or shot,
- 5:37Speaker 2: like you said, of that capital back into Series A
- 5:40Speaker 2: and B.
- 5:41Speaker 4: A lot of conversations I'm having with people, they're like.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I don't even care about the IPO part because the
- 5:46Speaker 2: biggest returns have been on the private side. But I
- 5:50Speaker 2: think that's an immense opportunity to onboard people maybe into
- 5:55Speaker 2: some of those earlier Series rounds hypothetically.
- 6:00Speaker 5: They say he was able to invest in not Ian.
- 6:03Speaker 4: What the f is going on? Man?
- 6:04Speaker 5: It's all about relationships. You can't never hear. Yeah, everything
- 6:07Speaker 5: is the Yeah, you.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Know, you never know.
- 6:09Speaker 5: She got she's she's doing a thing at the lead's
- 6:11Speaker 5: doing a thing man.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Like you know, he's a great investor, like regardless of
- 6:15Speaker 2: what you may think in terms of perception. She was
- 6:19Speaker 2: early on the Detroit real estate wave. And like you said,
- 6:22Speaker 2: it comes down to relationships. Fortunately, though for me, I've
- 6:25Speaker 2: been able to catch some other things. Not gonna be
- 6:30Speaker 2: able to win them all, Like I've been able to
- 6:32Speaker 2: get in cracking and Gemini a few other things. And
- 6:35Speaker 2: I called him video in twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen AMD
- 6:39Speaker 2: really so it's worked out.
- 6:41Speaker 4: You're not going to catch everyone though.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Yeah, And we're learning skills that on netting some of
- 6:47Speaker 3: these these returns. Right, So twenty acts thirty acts, like
- 6:51Speaker 3: we've seen people do that in public.
- 6:54Speaker 4: And that's a great part.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Even though you may mess out from an ego standpoint,
- 6:58Speaker 2: at least you can trade an invest your way to
- 7:01Speaker 2: get the same return as a pre ip O company
- 7:04Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 7:05Speaker 5: And a lot of that was happening like probably five
- 7:09Speaker 5: six years ago. A lot of people got in early,
- 7:11Speaker 5: like you know, like now, m h. If that happened now,
- 7:17Speaker 5: we would probably have opportunities. Now, if it happens now,
- 7:22Speaker 5: we have opportunities. Yeah, things have changed. Shout out to Janet,
- 7:27Speaker 5: they said, remember Janet when she did the call ins,
- 7:30Speaker 5: We used to have a call in.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Mute yourself, you've been unmuted on watching Mondays. Shout out
- 7:35Speaker 1: to that era.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Shout out to the Dan dash bag drop intro era,
- 7:40Speaker 5: a few in, a few erarors in a few, a few.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Movie King era leather jacket before Jensen era, zoom not working.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been a bunch, right, the camera were rotating
- 7:53Speaker 2: zooming and.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Yeah, stayed right here with us. That's it. Just go,
- 7:59Speaker 1: that's the FI
