- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39The Pear Tree of Prosperity may sound like an unusual name for a
- 0:44hypnosis session, but that's exactly what you're going to be
- 0:47listening to right now. Because I was working with a
- 0:50client that because of their childhood, had quite
- 0:53disempowering beliefs about money, about wealth, about
- 0:59motherhood, and also about expressing joy.
- 1:02And a lot of these things they felt were wrong or ruthless or
- 1:06bad or shameful. So this hypnosis session uses
- 1:10quite an unusual metaphor. This particular client felt that
- 1:14the fruit least desirable for them was the durian fruit.
- 1:20And the durian fruit is a tropical fruit that's quite
- 1:23pungent. It's got quite a smell.
- 1:25It kind of smells like it's gone off.
- 1:28It's very healthy fruit, but it's quite pungent and she
- 1:30didn't like this fruit at all. So I use a metaphor of a durian
- 1:35tree with these quite spiky looking durian fruit on there,
- 1:40and they represent all of the emotions and thoughts and
- 1:43behaviours that came from these disempowering childhood beliefs.
- 1:49Her favorite fruit was a pear. So we imagine this magic watch
- 1:54that shrinks the tree back to when it was tiny, and then she
- 1:57replaces that with a pear tree. And this represents all of the
- 2:01empowering alternative beliefs to replace the ones that she had
- 2:06before. And then this goes forwards in
- 2:09time, and then she can get a sense of wonderful emotions and
- 2:14thoughts and feelings and actions and also opportunities
- 2:19that naturally bear fruit from the updated beliefs.
- 2:24Very metaphorical. But if you have issues with
- 2:27either money or judgement or feeling that you can't express
- 2:32joy, you know you can't smile, you can't laugh.
- 2:36I think you're going to get some value from this session.
- 2:39Some of the suggestions were very, very specific to this
- 2:43client, so ignore any that aren't quite right for you.
- 2:46And if you do like the idea of working with me directly, have a
- 2:50look in the description and you can either do a hypnotherapy
- 2:53suitability test or you can book a free consultation call to
- 2:57explore working with me. For now though, find a quiet,
- 3:01comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 3:03Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:49you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 3:53relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 3:57your eyelids to close. And as you close, just position
- 4:05your body in such a way where you can allow yourself to relax
- 4:11deeply. That's it.
- 4:15And just become aware of your body or any tension may be
- 4:22hiding the speed of your breath. And maybe if you focus, you can
- 4:32detect a heartbeat or a pulse and notice that the deeper you
- 4:41breathe and the longer you exhale, how your whole body is
- 4:48releasing tension, how you're letting go of anything that is
- 4:56unnecessary. And you can feel how wonderful
- 5:01it would feel to just allow your mind and your body to slow down.
- 5:15That's in breathing gets deeper, the exhales get longer.
- 5:23And then scan your body for any clues of tension.
- 5:28Maybe there's tightness in a muscle or a tendon.
- 5:32And just imagine how good it would feel if that starts to
- 5:37melt away, taking you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 5:48And I want you to use the power of your imagination to imagine a
- 5:56garden in Malaysia. An impressive garden full of
- 6:02flowers and plants. But right in the centre of this
- 6:09garden is a durian tree filled with an spiky, jagged fruit.
- 6:20The durian. And I want you to imagine
- 6:24there's a very comfy chair not too far from that tree.
- 6:30And just imagine placing yourself in that chair, staring
- 6:33into the tree, looking at all of these different fruits.
- 6:41And I want you to get a sense that you're drifting deeper and
- 6:47deeper, relaxed, almost using your peripheral vision to zoom
- 6:53out and see the whole tree as an entity, to allow any more
- 7:00tension to melt away as you start thinking this tree
- 7:10represents disempowering beliefs formed in childhood.
- 7:15And I want you to get a sense then each of these fruits, they
- 7:24may be healthy, but for you they represent something pungent,
- 7:31smelly, slimy. And I want you to get a sense
- 7:36that most beliefs are formed in childhood.
- 7:44Beliefs about money and motherhood, beliefs about who
- 7:50you meant to be and what it's OK to say.
- 7:56And sometimes they learn from unconscious role models.
- 8:01Quite often, parents, we learn very quickly what's OK and what
- 8:09isn't OK, and those things that we believe that echo other
- 8:16people's beliefs get reinforced with approval and validation.
- 8:24And those beliefs that contradict that early
- 8:27environment are shot down, leading to either verbal,
- 8:37emotional, sometimes even physical consequences.
- 8:42So there is no shame at all in believing what you believe, but
- 8:48just because you do doesn't mean you have to.
- 8:57Very few people audit their beliefs.
- 9:00They're just there in the background.
- 9:05And a great way to audit a belief is to say, knowing what I
- 9:12now know, would I choose to believe this thing if I didn't
- 9:19believe it already? And I want you to get a feeling
- 9:24that each fruit on this durian tree represents perhaps an idea
- 9:33or a thought, an emotion connected to some of those
- 9:39childhood beliefs. Things like I'm not allowed to
- 9:44express my joy, it's shameful to be a mother.
- 9:51Or perhaps the idea that in order to have money, you have to
- 9:56be ruthless or perhaps superficial.
- 10:03And as you stare into the tree, I want you to get a feeling.
- 10:08Then what if these childhood beliefs are giving you pungent,
- 10:18smelly, disgusting thoughts, feelings, and ideas not because
- 10:25you deserve them, but they're just coming from the underlying
- 10:31beliefs. So let's do something new.
- 10:39Imagine in your hand on that chair, staring into the durian
- 10:42tree, you have a pocket watch. And I want you to imagine this
- 10:53pocket watch is magical. With your finger, you can rotate
- 10:59the clock backwards and as you do see the tree going in
- 11:07reverse, instead of aging, it goes backwards.
- 11:15And perhaps one hour on the clock represents a year of this
- 11:20tree's existence, if the tree is 30 or 40 years old.
- 11:28And what you have to do is to spin the clock back 30 or 40
- 11:31hours and you see the tree shrinking, getting smaller and
- 11:37smaller. And you can decide if you stop
- 11:43the clock when it's just a tiny sapling or a seed in the ground.
- 11:49But when you can imagine that durian tree is a tiny plant, let
- 11:55me know by nodding your head. And at that point it's easy to
- 12:03remove. You can plug the plant out with
- 12:07a single hand or remove the seed.
- 12:12And I want you to imagine you have a ripe pear, and imagine
- 12:21putting that ripe pear, perhaps with six or seven seeds inside
- 12:29in the very hole where the durian tree once was.
- 12:37And just to check that it's growing, I want you to move your
- 12:42magical watch forward half an hour so you get to see what
- 12:47those seeds would look like in six months time.
- 12:51And I want you to see at least one sapling starting to grow and
- 12:58then move it another full rotation.
- 13:03And you can see that small tree at a year and a half and then
- 13:08move it forward a few more years, perhaps four or five, and
- 13:13see the very first pairs on this small tree.
- 13:19And these pairs represent wonderful thoughts, feelings,
- 13:24emotions, or experiences that came from more useful beliefs.
- 13:35And just allow yourself to sit back on that chair and see the
- 13:41clock moving by itself. Now I want you to see the tree
- 13:47growing perhaps one year for every minute that you experience
- 13:56as we plant ideas as to what those pear seeds could have been
- 14:07to grow this particular tree. And I want you to get a feeling
- 14:13that any fruit that flows from this tree is the wonderful
- 14:20consequences of more empowering beliefs.
- 14:28So let's explore those beliefs. Stare into this growing tree and
- 14:39you start to think that money is simply energy, a neutral tool
- 14:47that reflects the value you create in the world.
- 14:55And you're allowed to feel increasingly comfortable with
- 14:57money, free from fear or attention whenever you think
- 15:03about it. Because the more money you have,
- 15:09the more value you must be creating for the world.
- 15:16You know that healthy boundaries around money protect your
- 15:20security and allow generosity to flourish at the right times.
- 15:28Based on your discernment, you welcome the truth.
- 15:34And attracting money often comes from the value you contribute
- 15:41and the courage to take wise risks.
- 15:49You feel valued, seen, and heard because you help others to feel
- 15:56valued, seen, and heard. Maybe you already realize that
- 16:07money itself does not define a person's character, it simply
- 16:13amplifies who they already are. You could think of it like
- 16:23generous people with money can be even more generous, caring
- 16:30people could be even more caring.
- 16:34Adventurous people have the resources to be even more
- 16:37adventurous. But also the opposite is true.
- 16:46Ruthless people could be more ruthless and selfish people
- 16:49could be more selfish. But that has nothing to do with
- 16:54you. That's a reflection of them.
- 17:01Some people are happy and rich, and some people are happy and
- 17:09poor. Some people are rich and
- 17:13miserable and some people are poor and miserable.
- 17:20Money does not define or in fact cause real happiness.
- 17:32You understand that money is not to be feared, but it's to be
- 17:38managed with a healthy respect, with the value it deserves.
- 17:49And you can do that with wisdom and boundaries that support your
- 17:54values, your vision, and your legacy.
- 18:02I want you to feel, as you see the tree continuing to grow more
- 18:07and more pears each season, that you are open to receiving money
- 18:15as a reflection of your worth and the positive differences you
- 18:20make in the world. So give yourself permission now
- 18:28to enjoy the presence of money in your life without guilt or
- 18:33shame, and you can feel safe knowing that money does not
- 18:41change who you are at your core, it only magnifies those
- 18:46wonderful qualities within you. You choose to express joy freely
- 18:56when it uplifts others and honours the moment, but also
- 19:03trust your discernment not to suppress, but just pause that
- 19:08joy when compassion and sensitivity are required.
- 19:17I want you to get a feeling that joy, health, and financial
- 19:23abundance flow easily when it's aligned with authenticity, value
- 19:33and purpose. From this point on, money is
- 19:42just a partner, an ally, not a threat in creating the life that
- 19:48you choose. And maybe you feel more and more
- 19:52relaxed when thinking about money because you know it's
- 19:58simply a balance and a reflection of choices and
- 20:07values. And when you think about
- 20:13mothers, I want you to think that just as there are people
- 20:22good with money and bad with money, there are good mothers
- 20:25and bad mothers. And I want you to get a sense
- 20:29then. Good mothers are caring and
- 20:33generous and dedicated, but also able to make their own choices.
- 20:44And sometimes that means spending time or attention away
- 20:50from a child to show them the essence of hard work and
- 20:57pursuing A worthy goal. You enjoy the balance of being
- 21:10both generous and protective of your resources, knowing both are
- 21:15essential for prosperity. I want you to walk up to the
- 21:23pear tree now fully grown and find the ripest pear and take a
- 21:32bite and just feel how nourishing, how delicious, but
- 21:44also how powerful all of the thoughts, emotions and feelings
- 21:50are coming from these new updated beliefs.
- 21:57And feel that you embody the qualities of care, generosity
- 22:02and wisdom. And you trust that money will
- 22:06amplify these qualities within you as you give yourself full
- 22:14permission to live with joy, compassion, and discernment,
- 22:21knowing that money is just one of many tools that support your
- 22:26freedom and contribution. And I want you to have a feeling
- 22:33that these new beliefs will carry on into your future.
- 22:40And I want you to imagine seeing yourself doing something that
- 22:46will live beyond your own mortality.
- 22:51Maybe it's impact. Maybe it's something tangible.
- 22:56I want you to consider this a legacy that these beliefs will
- 23:03naturally give you resources, emotions, thoughts, and
- 23:07experiences that will increase the quality of your life but
- 23:13also lead to a legacy that lives beyond you.
- 23:18And if you could imagine what that legacy could be, even if
- 23:29it's just a possibility, consider yourself planting a new
- 23:35seed in the ground. That may take many years to
- 23:39grow, but you are setting the intention now, even if it's
- 23:46decades before the legacy becomes a prophecy.
- 23:57And I want you to think at how quickly that smelly, pungent
- 24:02durian tree changed into a delicious pear tree.
- 24:10And just every now and then, if an echo of a thought or emotion
- 24:16connected to those old beliefs comes up, just remember this
- 24:22pear tree and just feel that that thought or emotion wasn't
- 24:28meant for you. There will be other people that
- 24:32like the durian, but the pears are for you.
- 24:35It's time to leave this Malaysian garden and imagine
- 24:42floating up out of the garden, seeing the pear tree from above,
- 24:47grabbing one final pear before you float all the way back to
- 24:52where you are now. And as you climb back into your
- 24:57own body, feeling in the here and the now.
- 25:00Take all of these updated beliefs with you.
- 25:03And when I count from 1:00 to 10:00, you will awaken with
- 25:08these new beliefs. So take a deep breath in through
- 25:13your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:18Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 25:20Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 25:25from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:29Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8.
- 25:37Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910.
- 25:41Wide awake. Wide awake.
