Fort Wayne’s long-neglected North River site, a 30-acre blight since 2006, is finally getting a fresh start—thanks to $3 million in EPA and state funding. After years of talk, the city tapped PB Development to lead the revitalization, with plans for a major fieldhouse, housing, and businesses. Cleanup is underway by IWM Consulting and should finish in six months. The master plan, set for finalization by year’s end, will include roads, utilities, green space, and community facilities—with input from local leaders and residents.
