- 0:21Hey, everyone, welcome to bless this Message True Crump Podcast. I don't
- 0:24care. Who's Stu? Say? Hey Stu? Hey, all right,
- 0:26so this episode we're going to Alabama. Yeah, so Stew, do we
- 0:32have anything going on? It's raining outside, that's about it. Yes,
- 0:37And we've been or I say we, I've been working very hard on just
- 0:45today though, because whenever I say we're having a party for our one year
- 0:48old, the party is just us, as in me, Stu and our
- 0:53daughter and the baby and m Stew's mom and dad. That's it. So
- 1:00anyways, I've been working hard. It's Harry Potter themes too. I cannot
- 1:04wait. I know. I'm cooking a traditional English meat pies with um mash
- 1:12and buttery peas, and then I'm gonna do for the appetizer, I'm gonna
- 1:18build a like an English tea with the little sandwiches on the bottom and the
- 1:25scones in the center, and then the little treats on the top. I'm
- 1:27very excited. The baby's gonna pick his house. He We're gonna put the
- 1:33four onesies and he's gonna like crawl to which one he wants to be in?
- 1:38Is he? Slytherin is he a Stuart Stop. You will participate,
- 1:44you will act enthused, you will let me take fifty million pictures. Anyways,
- 1:51anyways, I'm very excited about Honestly, we're not We're not baby birthday
- 1:55party people. Like our daughter. We didn't have a birthday party. We
- 1:59did like a smell ashcake, a DIY smash cake. Guy made the smash
- 2:01cake and we did a little photo shoot at home. Because I'm also not
- 2:05spending six hundred dollars on photos either when I got me at Trusty iPhone.
- 2:09So we're not roll like baby party, not that there's anything wrong with it.
- 2:14My two best friends, they both had huge birthday parties for their one
- 2:17year olds. I mean there were bouncy houses, there were there was a
- 2:23lot of things. There was like really exorbitant cakes and all sorts of things.
- 2:29But to me, the baby just gets tired halfway through, doesn't make
- 2:35it through a yes, anyways, but we're just doing We're doing. We're
- 2:38making him crawl and pick his little house and then we're gonna do a smash
- 2:43cake and the cake is gonna be I'm making it. I made it today
- 2:46and I'm going to decorate tomorrow. But if you're a Harry Potter fan.
- 2:49It's gonna be like the cake that Hagrid brought Harry whenever he went to go
- 2:54get him on his eleventh birthday. Anyway, so way, so it's that
- 3:00cake. So I'm excited. But all right, so Stuart, what so
- 3:05we have patreon dot com slash buses Mess podcast if you'd like to get early
- 3:09access and add free. You're still going to get this this nonsense though,
- 3:14that doesn't cut this out. So that's what the fast forward buttons for.

- 3:55obsessed with for the last week and a half. I so that recipe this
- 4:00evening and then rate reviews, subscribe on iTunes. We really appreciate it.
- 4:05And now that all that stuff is over, I guess we will get to
- 4:09our story out of Alabama. Do you have anything to say, Stuart?
- 4:12No, No, have you done? I got nothing to say? Oh
- 4:15my god? Whatever? All right, so let's get into it. Speaking
- 4:18of the salad, I've only had the salad. I had the salad for
- 4:21like lunch, brunch type, and then I had the salad for dinner.
- 4:26And now I'm drinking margarita. So this podcast could go off the rails.
- 4:30I haven't had any carbs today besides the little bit of carbs on the chicken
- 4:36tenders. Anyways. Lisa Marine Nichols was born June eighth, nineteen fifty nine,
- 4:42at the Mobile Information in Mobile, Alabama. Our father was a marine
- 4:47with the capital M, so her and her three sisters moved around the United
- 4:51States and internationally a lot. They ended up back in Mobile, where Lisa
- 4:58would attend and graduate from Murphy High School. So this is gonna go south
- 5:02early in there. Within the first two sentences, No, it's fine,
- 5:06I'm fine. Anyways, now after high school. She would go on to
- 5:12attend Nearly Business College and graduate. After college, she began working as a
- 5:15bookkeeper, first at a local drug store, then at a local grocery store.
- 5:20She would end up working at that same grocery store for the next fifteen
- 5:24years. Now, during this time, Lisa was married twice and had two
- 5:28daughters. Her second marriage ended, leaving Lisa single and dating. Now,
- 5:31Lisa did not have the best luck with men. She would begin dating someone,
- 5:35she's she's that lady. She's like, goes all in. She finds
- 5:40someone, finds a man, she's in love, they're moving in, she
- 5:44sees the future, and then it all goes downhill quickly because obviously they moved
- 5:48too fast. So she's always this kind of this cycle of meeting men,
- 5:53moving in with them, and then it would end. Well, now,
- 5:55this would cause Lisa to have to move quite a few times. Now,
- 5:58her daughters finally pushed her get her own place, not live with a man.
- 6:01Just say hey, mom, you need to be independent. Just date
- 6:04someone, but have your own place. Well, she ended up moving into
- 6:08her own mobile home. There's a lot of ways you can pronounce the word
- 6:16m O B I L E. Star, yes, there is Mobile.
- 6:19Mobile Mobile now home in Turnerville, Alabama. Now Turnerville is a small town
- 6:27about twenty five minutes north of Mobile. Despite being unlucky in love, Lisa
- 6:30did enjoy her life. She loved cooking, she loved going to the beach.
- 6:34She adored her three granddaughters, and she was very involved with her daughter's
- 6:38lives. She talked to them multiple times a day, very close knit family.
- 6:43In September at two thousand and four, Southern Coast was preparing for Hurricane
- 6:47Ivan. Alabama's southern coast. You said southern coast, like it's the name
- 6:54of a town, the southern coast Alabama, all right, Yes, Alabama
- 7:03wasn't just hit the table. You're like an unprofessional podcaster. See why are
- 7:09you looking at me like that? Anyway, Alabama was set to take a
- 7:13direct hit, and the people of Mobile and surrounding areas were preparing their homes
- 7:17and businesses. This included Turnerville, where Lisa lived. Her daughters decided to
- 7:23move out of the hurricanes path and stay in a hotel until it passed.
- 7:27It's always that dicey decision, you know. Even they tell you a hurricanes
- 7:30coming right after you, You're like do they really know, because a lot
- 7:33of times, especially here, is it going to slow down and be a
- 7:35cat too? Yea? Are we gonna waste our time and our money like
- 7:40going on traveling, loading up all the pets, loading up all the children,
- 7:44loading up all the stuff. Or is it a waste time because a
- 7:46lot of times, especially where we live, they always say it's gonna hit
- 7:48here, and it never does. It always goes one way or the other.
- 7:51Either Lake Charles gets it or Baton Rouge. But for some reason we
- 7:55always get this. It always turns a knock on wood. But I've been
- 8:00here for three of them, so well. Anyways, they tell you that
- 8:03I know. But the last few big ones they keep saying that it's coming
- 8:05here, and then it never does. No, it always tracks well,
- 8:07But it's always uh, it's always that question when they say when people say
- 8:11are you going to leave for the hurricane? And then you never know which
- 8:16what you should do? No, because if I would have gone to or
- 8:18we would have gone on like Charles or Houston, we would have got hit
- 8:22by the hurricane there if we would have tried to go that way. Yeah,
- 8:24and it's expensive, like they say that, like leaving for a hurricane
- 8:28is just oh, we'll just pick up and go. It's not. It's
- 8:31expensive. You got to find hotels, fuel, dealing with all the traffic,
- 8:35if you got food, pets, all that stuff. I mean,
- 8:37it's an expensive endeavor to just like up and leave for a few nights for
- 8:41a hurricane. It's not some easy task. So we just go up and
- 8:46stock up at the liquor store and stay home and then get a much can
- 8:48beans. Yes, and always get bread and milk and then well that's what
- 8:56um, that's what you do for a winter store, get milk for a
- 9:00hurricane. I don't know what you yes, you do, you don't.
- 9:03There's always a run on bread and milk at the store. We don't get
- 9:07it, but other people do. If you have children. We have children
- 9:11now. I guess if you got a generator to keep a cold, well,
- 9:13whatever, get a generator. I'm telling you. When you go to
- 9:16the store, all the bread and milk is gone. Whenever they think there's
- 9:20a storm coming, all gone. All the canned goods, No, the
- 9:24can goods are still there. Bread and milk are gone off the shelves.
- 9:28What are you looking at me like this, Steward? This is a common
- 9:30thing. You don't ever go to the store to prepare for a hurricane.
- 9:33You just come home and I'm prepared for it. No, I prepared for
- 9:37plenty of hurricanes. And you get canned goods. You don't get I understand
- 9:39what you get canned goods. But if you have children, stuff you need
- 9:43milk and everything. If you're gonna be stuck at home, maybe you still
- 9:46have electricity. Yes, so you get milk. Yes, Okay, let's
- 9:52move on from this. Nobody cares because nobody lives. Only people that live
- 9:54in hurricane things. You're an idiot, but you're a morning You're a milk
- 10:01for a hurricane. I'm just telling you. Milk and bread flies off the
- 10:05shelves. Just go on, Stuart. I can't even I'm sure people will.
- 10:09I can't even with you right now. I'm going to stop this podcast
- 10:13and just argue with you the rest of the night. I'm gonna look it
- 10:16up online. You do that. Yeah, Now. Lisa joined them to
- 10:20wait out the storm with her milk and bread. With her milk and bread,
- 10:24and on September sixteenth, two thousand and four, Hurricane I Haven't didn't
- 10:28make landfall in Gulf Shores, Alabama as a Category three very nice place.
- 10:31Gulf Shores, Alabama, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Pensacola, all that.
- 10:37If you got, if you're close, you want to go a vacation.
- 10:39That's some very nice beaches there. Now, the town of Turnerville lost
- 10:45power and there were trees down and cell phone towers were out. Despite this,
- 10:50Lisa wanted to head back to her trailer because she was ready to be
- 10:52home and she would deal with no power for a few days. That is
- 10:56miserable in the South, dealing with no power, no air caner after a
- 11:00hurricane. She also needed a report to work. On Friday morning. At
- 11:05the grocery store, her family tried to get her, there's no milk or
- 11:07bread? No, because I would throw off the milk. No, I
- 11:11look this up store. There's articles that literally say why we buy milk bread
- 11:15before a hurricane? Why do people buy bread and milk before a storm hits?
- 11:20Why we buy bread and milk during winter storms? Bread and milk?
- 11:22Why do we buy those foods before a storm? A hurricanes cane is coming,
- 11:26you need milk and bread? Reasons why people buy bread in a snowstorm?
- 11:31Blah blah, blah blah blah, the psychologist says to feel optimistic.
- 11:35Psychologist Judy Rosenberg has a different psychological theory for why we stuck up on perishable
- 11:41items before storms. Optimism. Buying perishables is like saying the storm will be
- 11:46over soon and I won't be stuck in this situation for long. So are
- 11:50you saying idiots buy it based on hoping that. I'm just telling you.
- 11:54I'm telling you it's a fact that bread and milk fly out the shelf string
- 11:58before a storm. I mean, Brad is fine. Okay, Well,
- 12:05I'm just telling you. I'm just telling you, so it came. When
- 12:07your power goes out, you're gonna have to eat all the lunch meat and
- 12:09perishables in your fridge. I'm just saying, don't put new drunk. Well,
- 12:16you don't buying you because we're optimistics to that we're not going to die
- 12:20and the electricity is going to work. I can't even deal with it.
- 12:24I'm just telling you. There's articles. I'm just saying, I'm righting your
- 12:26wrong. But anyways, okay, you're no, you're an idiot now.
- 12:30They spoke to her on the phone when she arrived back at her trailer on
- 12:35September sixteenth. The next day, they called Lisa a few times, but
- 12:39they couldn't get hold of her. They did, they really didn't think too
- 12:43much of it. I mean, hurricane things are down, shit's going on.
- 12:48And then her area that where she lived, the area like you,
- 12:52I mean, it's a smaller town, had spotty service to begin with,
- 12:54so it's not like it was the most reliable, you know, form a
- 13:00communication between them. They called sometimes even on non storm situations, and they
- 13:05couldn't get ahold of verse. Yeah, because if you don't know anything about
- 13:07cell towers, they run off electricity. But down here in the South,
- 13:11they actually have big diesel fuel tanks next to them. They do. I
- 13:16know, I know these things and that's what they run on. After a
- 13:20hurricane, they automatically kick on and then the service companies got to get out
- 13:26down there to refill them. And if they can't get those refilled, those
- 13:28towers will go back down again. Will you learn something new every day?
- 13:33Well, there you go. I'm happy I could oblige. You're wrong on
- 13:37the bread and milk situation, though that is not true. They did not
- 13:41think much of it. They just figured the cell towers were still down,
- 13:45and that they would speak to her later when there the phone was back up
- 13:48and running. On September eighteenth, they made their way back home to assess
- 13:52the damage. Later that evening, the family began talking to each other and
- 13:56they realized that no one had spoken the least since the day she drove back
- 14:01to Turnerville after the storm. They decided they needed to drive out to their
- 14:05mom's house to see if she's okay. Yeah, I'm sure. It was
- 14:09like a casual conversation because they're all dealing with their own homes, they're all
- 14:11in the hurricane path, they're all getting home, you know, was what
- 14:16it ended up being a Category three I think I said, So that stills
- 14:20there's some damage. There's gonna be branches down, there, might like power
- 14:24outages, things like that. They're having to deal with that. And then
- 14:26they're all talking to you and going, hey, have you talked to mom?
- 14:28And they're like, and I actually haven't talked to mom. We couldn't
- 14:31get ahold of her yesterday. What's going on? And so that's when they
- 14:35realized maybe something check on mom yes now. Just before midnight, Amber and
- 14:41Jennifer along with Todd, who was the son in law entered. They know
- 14:48much great. They noticed that the door to the trailer was a jar,
- 14:52which is odd. I mean, I'm not sure if the research was done
- 14:56in this if at Leasta had power, didn't because you're gonna have doors and
- 15:01windows open after her. Okay, well she didn't have power. Se if
- 15:05you just continue on with the with the research, Steward, you'll see she
- 15:11did not have power. Oh fuck her. Wow, you're the one.
- 15:16You just implied to me that I didn't do my research so well, I
- 15:20hadn't know about this electricity. Let me read this next sentence. They entered
- 15:24the home using flashlights to see because there was still no electricity. He sucks
- 15:31so bad. You know what. Karma is a bitch and her name is
- 15:35Flashlight. Because you just had to read that. Well, maybe I had
- 15:41already read a head and I knew that, and maybe you're a liar.
- 15:43I wanted her ask you, no, don't try to play it off,
- 15:46just keep going. They immediately could tell that there had been a fire in
- 15:52the home. Far far Tied entered the home first, making his way to
- 15:58the bedroom. He entered the bathroom room and he sees the body of a
- 16:00woman burned on the bathroom floor. He immediately immediately yells for Amber and Jennifer
- 16:07to turn around and get out of the house. He didn't want them to
- 16:11see their mother that way. Yeah, he's the he's a son in law.
- 16:14He goes in first, everything that and he's just trying to should his
- 16:17wife and his sister in law from seeing this horrific crime scene that he knows,
- 16:22he knows, and yeah, he knows instinctually this is this is even
- 16:26though her body's charged, He's like, this is this is Lisa. Now.
- 16:30He tells the women that we need to get help, but he knew
- 16:33that Lisa was already gone based on the state of the body. They had
- 16:37no cell phone service out by the trailers, so they run from door to
- 16:41door to find a neighbor to call nine one one. And this is late.
- 16:44This is where in the midnight. We're in the middle of the night
- 16:47after a hurricane, electricity's out might get shot out in the country, let
- 16:53me tell you. Now, they were screaming and crying hysterically, and a
- 16:57neighbor, Mark Bentley, answered the or he calls nine one one. Then
- 17:02they all run over to Lisa's home along with Another man who was staying at
- 17:06the Bentley's named Scooter Coleman Scooter, Oh Scooter. But of course there was
- 17:11no helping Lisa, so they waited for police and paramedics to arrive. Now
- 17:17police they slowly make their way to Lisa's home. They were still dealing with
- 17:21that hurricane damage, so it takes it takes a little bit longer than what
- 17:23would normally because there's trees in the roads, everything like that. Plus I'm
- 17:26assuming they're probably low on personnel to help with something like this. Whenever there's
- 17:33a hurricane, resources are stretched very very thin. So we all know from
- 17:37that case that was out of Houston where the woman was murdered during Hurricane Harvey,
- 17:41and it took them a while to figure who did it because of the
- 17:45I mean, if you want to kill somebody, I mean, we're not
- 17:47trying to give tips to killers or whatever, but a hurricane. We also
- 17:49had the case out of we did the cover of the case up was it
- 17:53Florida. We also covered a case out of ys up to stay with the
- 17:57nice or whatever, and then the guy lost to sh oh yeah. And
- 18:00then we also covered the case during a hurricane out of it was North Carolina.
- 18:06Wasn't it that would happened during a hurricane that the girl was murdered and
- 18:11they couldn't get all the clues and everything with that evidence because the hurricane literally
- 18:15washed it all away. So yeah, it's a it's a bad time,
- 18:21I mean, depending on which side you're on. Yeah, if you're the
- 18:23if you're a victim, bad time, murderer, great time. Yeah,
- 18:26Hurricane Katrina. Yeah, they're not telling how many of them bodies are from
- 18:30storm or Oh yeah, who knows, we don't know. Vengeance. Um,
- 18:37what a time to be alive. So anyways, so they enter the
- 18:41home and so they the police do arrive. They enter the home and immediately
- 18:44see that there had been a fire, but had not been throughout the home.
- 18:47That's an isolated situation. So they walked towards the bedroom and can tell
- 18:51this is where that the fire actually occurred. In the bathroom, they see
- 18:55a charred body of a woman. They initially believed this was an accident that
- 18:59maybe like a gas leanard had tipped over and caught fire. She had,
- 19:00you know, let one of those. Due to no electricity and just a
- 19:06weird accident. They called the corner and when they picked the body up to
- 19:10move it. There was a strong smell of gasoline. So this was their
- 19:12first clue, this isn't this isn't right. So this is when they knew
- 19:18that they need to look closer. So upon further inspection, they could tell
- 19:22that Lisa was not clothed at the time of her body being burned, because
- 19:26normally, whenever they see a body that's been burned, they can see those
- 19:30remnants of that chart clothing, but there were now in the bathroom. The
- 19:34bathtub was full of water, which is not uncommon during a hurricane because people
- 19:38fill them to have extra water just in case they need it if the lines
- 19:42busted or anything like that, Like we are, unless you believe, as
- 19:45Karen, fill it with milk or something. I don't know, Stewart,
- 19:52that's so ridiculous. I've stated you actual, actual things that where people have
- 19:56written why we get milk and and bread for a hurricane. We're not going
- 20:02to continue to go back to this. Do you want me to bring up
- 20:04the yetty that she said? I said, after all, we took a
- 20:08little pause, and I said, oh, I said, well, what
- 20:11if there was a yetty and they put the milk in there? The ice
- 20:15can stay in a Yeti cooler, those expensive Yetti coolers for days. They
- 20:18can down that we have yetis, but back then they couldn't. Okay,
- 20:22well, people are currently buying milk and bread so in putting it in their
- 20:25yetis and they're just drinking. They're just living the lavish life and drinking whole
- 20:29milk left and right all through the hurricane. So anyway, so the batsa
- 20:36was full, like we said, but this wasn't uncommon. We fill our
- 20:37bathtub whenever there's a hurricane coming. Yes, it's something that we just do.
- 20:41Now though, However, when they were looking at this, the water
- 20:45was not clear. It was tinted red as if there was blood in it,
- 20:48So this is unusual. They also saw what looked like Lisa's clothing floating
- 20:52in the bathtub. Now this was starting to look more and more like a
- 20:56homicide rather than an accident. So they bring in the fire and vest gator
- 21:00and they determined that the fire actually started right between Lisa's legs. It looked
- 21:03like someone had dowstart with gasoline then dropped a match right between her legs,
- 21:07just dumped it. That's where they dropped it. It was in the middle
- 21:11of the night, and they had no electricity. Like we said, yes,
- 21:12dude doesn't listen, And so they still decide, you're right ten minutes
- 21:18ago. I'm just arguing with you now, just to aggravate you. Okay.
- 21:21So anyways, no electricity still, so they decide to exit the potential
- 21:25crime scene because this is looking more and more like, wait, we gotta
- 21:29we need to be careful with this. We need to collect all this evidence.
- 21:30We cannot do this in this pitch black situation back in a bedroom in
- 21:36a bathroom, which just using flashlights, we're not going to do a good
- 21:38job. So let's exit this crime scene. Let's let it set and whenever
- 21:41the sun comes up, when the sun comes up in a few hours,
- 21:45we'll reassess and be able to collect more evidence with better lighting. Which was
- 21:49smart on their part. I mean because now the Alabama yea yeah, because
- 21:53we first in a small town, police investigations go yeah wrong. Old Bubba
- 22:00was like, well, we all, we ain't got no lot, so
- 22:03we get it. We better back on out of here, and let's look
- 22:07at this when we got some that daylight going on. We make fun because
- 22:11we're from the South and we can do that. Yes, so we say,
- 22:15but it's it is Alabama. Come on, Alabama's okay, it can
- 22:22be a nice place. But I'm near Talladega. Oh okay, now we're
- 22:26getting into Talladega. I can't do this. People, where I used to
- 22:29race cars, you never race. You drove around the thing because someone bought
- 22:33you it for a gift. You got to drive around at one time.
- 22:36You didn't race cars. For Talladega. I drove a race. We should
- 22:40be much richer if you'd race cars at Talladega. Some people don't call that
- 22:44fast. In the morning, Lisa's body was removed from the scene. The
- 22:52coroner performed the autopsy and determined that the cause of death was not being burned.
- 22:56Now, Lisa had bullet holes in her head, and she had been
- 22:59shot three times in the head, and somebody tried to cover their tracks by
- 23:03burning in her body. With Lisa's death officially a homicide, now they started
- 23:07processing the crime scene. On the back they do autopsies for all bodies that
- 23:12are burned, because what if I mean, I just assumed they do.
- 23:17Do they do optopsies for all bodies that are burned? What what do I
- 23:21look like I have or a corner. I don't know our corner. I'm
- 23:26just questioning because I mean, was it because the bloody bathtub and the fire
- 23:32investigator seen the gasoling that they investigator or if they had to make those mistakes,
- 23:37well, they just assumed she was burned to death and dropped a kerosene
- 23:41land. Yeah, moved on. I don't know. I don't know either.
- 23:45How don't you call a coroner or ask if there's a corner out there
- 23:48listening, please let us know. Yeah, so we don't have to do
- 23:49it any more work yep. On the back porch, they found a barbecue
- 23:53pit with coals in it and lighter fluid. The coals had never been lit.
- 23:59It appeared that Lisa was preparing to cook her dinner on the barbecue since
- 24:03she had no electricity, when somebody interrupted her. They also found two types
- 24:07of beers in the home. One type was in the sink and the can
- 24:12was turned upside down. The other can was in a kouzie on the floor.
- 24:18And if you're a beer drinker, you have very specific ways you drink
- 24:21your beer. You drink it like the same way every time. Kouzi,
- 24:25no kouzy, things like that. So we'll get into that. But it's
- 24:27a very specific thing. I'm not a beer drinker, but people who drink
- 24:32beer, it's they're going to do the same thing every single time, and
- 24:34they're gonna drink the same type of beer every single time. They will.
- 24:37Yeah. Plus you do things with tabs, you put a dent in it.
- 24:41Yeah, see, I would know. Stu's not a big beer drinker,
- 24:45but he does drink like if he drinks like his monsters or his Cokes
- 24:51or whatever they are he does. He takes the tabby off and puts it
- 24:55dent. Yes, and oh an puts it dent. Yes, This is
- 24:57true. So if there was ever a crime scene here and there was like
- 25:02another set, and I know it wasn't mine, I'd be like, Oh,
- 25:06that wasn't Stew's, that wasn't Stux's monster. That was somebody else was
- 25:11drinking a monster here. So yeah, it's very specific. Yes, I
- 25:14do drink often, well not often, but you like to try a new
- 25:18one. You like to try new ones, and they're usually in bottles now,
- 25:22Yeah, but you also like to try You're not like a regular.
- 25:25You don't go and buy michelob ultras every week and go through a pack of
- 25:29them or whatever. Now you go and say, oh, I want to
- 25:32try this new light log or whatever. Police spoke to the family, and
- 25:37the family told the police that Lisa would always turn her cans of beer upside
- 25:41down in the sink to drink any beer left in them before she crushed the
- 25:47cans and collected them to sell. We collect our cans to sell as well.
- 25:51We didn't. We go through a lot of cans around here. The
- 25:53one in the koozie was not Lisa's, and police felt this might belong to
- 25:59the last person that saw Lisa alive. So they sent off the items for
- 26:03testing, and they started questioning friends, family, and neighbors, well Lisa's
- 26:08family. They talked to police and they just didn't know anyone that who would
- 26:11want to hurt Lisa. She didn't have any enemies, which this is a
- 26:15common fact theme. Did she light up her room? Didn't? No,
- 26:18I don't know if they never said she lit up a room, But she
- 26:21didn't have any enemies. So they questioned neighbors starting with the I mean,
- 26:25but who does have enemies? I mean, if I got enemies, I
- 26:27don't know who they are. I don't know who they are either, So
- 26:30I mean, like a normal day to day person doesn't have like a like
- 26:34an arch nemesis out there, like planning their demise. Who are these people
- 26:38like the Hatfields of McCoy. Yeah, oh oh Joe was murdered. Oh
- 26:42he's a half failed monthman. KOI did it? Yeah? I mean these
- 26:45people out of the regular life that have well, every time enemies, this
- 26:49is common every time. Nobody knows anybody who would want to hurt somebody,
- 26:52because nobody knows anybody who would hate somebody that much to want to kill them,
- 26:56kill them, because if you did, you'd be like, oh,
- 26:59yeah, that motherfucker. He was crazy. Yeah, I want to kill
- 27:00him. So anyway, so they questioned neighbors, starting with the Bentleys,
- 27:03who called for help the knight that Lisa was discovered. Now, Mark Bentley
- 27:07was very upset by the murder of Lisa and was concerned about his own family's
- 27:11safety as he was just next door. So police asked Mark who all was
- 27:15at his home the knight of the murder, and he told police that was
- 27:18him and his wife Kim, as well as their cousin Scooter Coleman. And
- 27:22this is Scooter who had ran to assist with Lisa, and then there was
- 27:26another man there named John Paul Chapman. Now police ask about Scooter and John.
- 27:32Mark told him that they worked for his construction company and that he owned
- 27:36off and On and he also lets them stay at his house. Now,
- 27:38Scooter was family and Bentley the Bentleys trusted him a lot so. But John,
- 27:44however, had worked for the Bentley's back in two thousand, but had
- 27:47left and recently returned looking for work. So Scooter is the long term tenant
- 27:52at the house, the cousin that's worked for the family for a long time.
- 27:56John's kind of like the off and on worker. Yeah, he's not
- 28:00related to him. He's just a guy that they've been helping out. So
- 28:03Mark tells the police that they left town for the hurricane and they offered to
- 28:07take Scooter and John with him, but they declined and they chose to stay
- 28:10at the house just to watch over it. They go to speak to Scooter,
- 28:12who assisted with Lise. That was the guy again that assisted with Lisa,
- 28:17and he tells police a similar stories to Marx. He tells them that
- 28:21he stayed behind with John at the house just to look over it, make
- 28:23sure everything was kay. They weren't too concerned about Yeah, well tiny hurricane
- 28:30like that. Yeah. So Scooter says that he had a strange interaction with
- 28:33John while they while the Bentleys were away, they needed batteries in a radio.
- 28:37So John, this was John and Scooter needed batteries in radio because of
- 28:41obviously the electricity gone out. So John contacted Kim, who told him that
- 28:45she had some in her closet. Well, Kim told John to have Scooter
- 28:48go get them, as she trusted Scooter. Again, Scooter's the cousin's he's
- 28:52part of the family. He's lived there a long time. She's like,
- 28:56hey, go have it's in my bedroom closet. Just go, but I'd
- 29:00rather Scooter go do it like digging through stuff. Well, John didn't listen.
- 29:03He goes in there to get the batteries and the radios himself out of
- 29:07Kim's closet, probably get the pies and weird. So anyways, while he's
- 29:12in there, Uh, it is believed that John finds Kim. Kim had
- 29:18a little pistol in there or whatever, and so we believe that John.
- 29:22They believe John found that pistol. Scooter actually walks in while John is looking
- 29:27for the batteries of radio, smelling the underwear or whatever he's doing and holding
- 29:32that pistol. Well, Scooter doesn't say anything to him, but he does
- 29:34see John holding that pistol. Scood relieves they get the radio as the battery
- 29:38or whatever. He doesn't know what happened with the gun or anything like that.
- 29:44He just remembers seeing him with the gun. The next day, Scooter
- 29:48goes back in because he thought the whole thing with the gun was suspicious and
- 29:52he hasn't seen John since that incident with the gun. With seeing with the
- 29:56gun at he doesn't say what time it was or anything. No, he
- 29:59just says it was night of the hurricane. He doesn't seem so he goes
- 30:03back in. He checks the gun is actually back where it's supposed to be,
- 30:06so at some point John took the gun and then placed it back in
- 30:11there. But Scooter never saw John again that night. John last time he
- 30:15saw it it was in his hand, yes, and then it's magically back
- 30:18in where it's supposed to be. The next day they didn't see John again.
- 30:22Police come and ask and say, hey, where's so. We got
- 30:25Scooter, we got the Bentleys, where's John out. They say, we
- 30:27haven't seen John since at night. They tell him this whole story about him
- 30:30having the gun, and the gun showing magically back up the next day,
- 30:33but no one ever having seen John. So they do go and look,
- 30:37and John had left some items behind and some of those items were clothing,
- 30:41So they just the Bentleys and Scooter never went and investigated the clothing that John
- 30:47left behind. So they just always assumed he was coming back because again,
- 30:48this isn't he doesn't. I mean, he lives there, but he's not
- 30:52a family member, he's not. He just a guy that works there and
- 30:55they let stay at their house. So anyway, so the police click that
- 30:57clothing and that clothing actually has some blood on them, so police take that,
- 31:03take the gun, and they go to process it for any type of
- 31:07evidence. So somehow John left with the gun, yes, got blood on
- 31:14his clothes, came back unseen, left the gun and the clothes, and
- 31:18then disappeared. Yeah, I mean a scooter does. I mean, it's
- 31:22a hurricane. You got to electrcity him. I mean, unless he was
- 31:25sleeping. I got maybe he was sleeping. We don't know, Stuart,
- 31:27else I would love to just sleep during the hurricane just sleep give us a
- 31:32call anyways, that's what happened. With no sign of John, police run
- 31:37a background check to see if they can find some more information on him and
- 31:42where he might have gone. They find that he has an active warrant out
- 31:48of Georgia for failing to appear in court. John does contact the police saying
- 31:52he will come in and talk to them, but he never does. At
- 31:56this point, John is the only suspect they have and then need to kind
- 32:00of track him down get a little questioning going on. So on September twenty
- 32:05first, police received a call about an attempted burglary and a man running off.
- 32:09The respond to the call and as it turns out, the home belongs
- 32:14to a well known meth cook. There was a man in his house and
- 32:19he pocketed a bag of meth and the meth cook pulled his gun on him
- 32:23and the guy ran away. So the meth cooker was calling the cops because
- 32:29someone stole all his meth. So that makes me question about the relationship that
- 32:35was between the police and the meth cooker because he felt comfortable enough to call
- 32:42in such a crime which he was committing a cry cooking. The man but
- 32:49now all of a sudden, it's been escalated because this all ends up being
- 32:52involved with the murder. So this this whole call in he maybe he this
- 32:57has happened before he's called in the police, and the police are on me.
- 33:00It's some shady shit going on in the police department, you know what
- 33:04I'm saying. And normally this wouldn't come to light, but since it's been
- 33:07with the murderer, all of a sudden, it's going to escalate. Alice
- 33:10is Florida. It's all the same. Oh wow, there's gonna be some
- 33:17upset people in Alabama. Yeah, or some upset people in Florida could be
- 33:22now. The man could not catch him, the meth cook that is,
- 33:25could not catch him, but the guy left his red Jeep Cherokee behind.
- 33:30Police run the plates and it turns out it belongs to John Paul Chapman and
- 33:36he is the guy that was stealing the meth. They have no clue where
- 33:39he is though, until they receive a call from Chapman himself. The detective
- 33:45continues to talk to him while they trace his call, and they were able
- 33:47to get a location and head out to arrest Chapman. When they do catch
- 33:52up to him. He tells police, I had every intention of making you
- 33:55kill me, which struck police's odd. There was a man they wanted,
- 34:00like suicide by cop. Yeah, So the cops were like, why you
- 34:04scroll a bag of meth? Yeah, what's going on? So there was
- 34:07a man there that was driving him to the bus station, but he said
- 34:10that Chapman showed up at his house and he just wanted to get rid of
- 34:15him, so I agreed to give him a ride. So they bring Chapman
- 34:19in for questioning. Yeah, I think for understand, he just showed he
- 34:22went to this guy's house. He shows up at some random person's house that
- 34:25he doesn't even know, keeps bothering him until the guy's like, I'll just
- 34:30take you wherever you want, just please, dear God. And it was
- 34:36it was a situation like that, like I just want you gone, like
- 34:38it doesn't matter, I don't care if whatever. So the guy's like,
- 34:42I don't have anything to do with this. I'm just trying to get rid
- 34:43of this. Well, this is Alabama. I don't know why the guy
- 34:45didn't pull a gun on once I get the f out of here, or
- 34:47I'm calling the cops one or the other well, maybe he was from a
- 34:51transplant from Vermont or something. Oh wow. Anyway, so at first Chapman
- 34:59was not talking, but eventually he slowly started giving details. Right, you
- 35:04almost forgot about that, didn't you. About that night, he told police
- 35:08that he had gone over to Lisa's house to hang out and she asked him
- 35:12if if he had some crystal meth. He sold her some and they did
- 35:15the meth and had sex. Now he tells police that she overdosed and died
- 35:21very I mean, he's just making shit him. Anyways, he panicked and
- 35:24thought he would be blamed, so he decided to cover up, cover up
- 35:29the overdose, and that's when he tells them he shot her in the head
- 35:31then burned her body. They knew this story was not true. Lisa did
- 35:36not do drugs like I said. She's she had gone and got her bookkeeping
- 35:38degree. She'd worked at the same place for fifteen years. It was a
- 35:42grocer store. It had changed names multiple times, but it was she had
- 35:45worked in the same place for fifteen years. This was not a woman fucking
- 35:49buying crystal meth and having random sex with men. You know, this was
- 35:53not meth Heads are not reliable for fifteen years. No, so they already
- 35:58know, like, this is not Lisa didn't do drugs. This guy's just
- 36:02making all this up. So he requests to call his girlfriend, but she
- 36:06doesn't answer, so he's taken back to his cell. So the John guy
- 36:09tries to call his girlfriend. She's like, she doesn't answer. Detectives continue
- 36:14to try to contact that girlfriend because they had the number. They're like,
- 36:15Okay, well let's call this girl and see what she's got to say.
- 36:19Finally, the next morning, she calls them back. Detectives tell the girlfriend
- 36:22that Chapman is being questioned for murder and she says, oh, I knew
- 36:27he killed her. Well, they're confused by this again, They're like,
- 36:30what is she talking about? So I asked her what she what do you
- 36:32say? Who do you know that he killed? And she says, it's
- 36:36was something that happened about six months ago. It was a sixteen year old
- 36:39girl who went missing in a trailer park where Chapman and her lived. She
- 36:44had always thought that he had something to do with that, the girl going
- 36:46missing and the murder of her, but he was never arrested or anything like
- 36:51that. It was just an instinct that she had that he had something to
- 36:53do with Yeah, because it was not a question as a suspect or anything
- 36:57in that murder. No LEAs and Alabama begin looking into this other murderer in
- 37:02Georgia. In March of two thousand and four, now, sixteen year old
- 37:07Amanda Greenwell mysteriously banished one day from her residence in Douglasville, Georgia. Friends
- 37:13and family members searched for her, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to locate
- 37:17her. One month later, Amanda's lifeless body would be located a few miles
- 37:22from her home. She had been beaten, raped, and her neck was
- 37:25broken. The girlfriends suspected Chapman because the day after the disappearance, he showed
- 37:32up at their trailer with scratches on him and dirty clothes, but he had
- 37:37no explanation for this. Detectives in Alabama now believe they're dealing with a potential
- 37:43serial killer, so they bring Chapman back in for question, and he finally
- 37:46cracks, I think you actually have to have three to be a serial Killer's
- 37:51I thought? Just wait now, He tells police that Mark Bentley left to
- 37:58get them some hamburgers from parties and CenTra. Now did you ever like Hearties
- 38:01to It's all right? Okay? When I was a child, I distinctly
- 38:08remember I wanted to. I love the Hearties cheeseburger and it had to only
- 38:15have the you know, cheese, mayo and lettuce. And we used to
- 38:22drive it must have been down that this isn't Oklahoma's. Must have been down
- 38:25the turnpike to go get it. But there was this lady there that I
- 38:29don't know what was about her, but I was. I loved the Hearties
- 38:31Hamburg, and I remember always asking my mom and dad, like, oh
- 38:36wait, let's go to Hearties and be so excited. But when I got
- 38:38there, there's this lady that weren't there, and I was terrified of her,
- 38:42like terrified herdis also had the curly fries as well, which was like
- 38:47the best. Well, I think all on the West coasts are called Carl's
- 38:51un all well, no, but back in the day, this was before
- 38:53they merged. I think they merged at some point. This was old school
- 39:00Hardies do. This was like four hundred years ago when I was a child.
- 39:05I've never had a Hearties here until recently in this town, so I
- 39:07have no Okay, well, it's not the Hardies that you know today.
- 39:10It was a different Hardies. They must have been purchased by Carl's Junior because
- 39:15they took the hardiest colors were not the Carl's Junior colors. The hardiest colors
- 39:20were like a brownish like uh, what's the word? Um? No,
- 39:27like a brunish. Fuck, what's the color? I don't know, like
- 39:32a dark purple, um maroon, brownish brown. I believe it was a
- 39:42brownish maroon type of color with a white lettering. And it was very different.
- 39:45But I just remember that lady. I was very terrified of her.
- 39:47Maybe she was a killer and I just had like an instinct. But I
- 39:53liked that Burger would just let his mayo in cheese. Anyway, that was
- 40:00your story. Yes, this long trip, this two hour drive for thirty
- 40:07minutes at the beach, is what you're telling us. Yep, it wasn't
- 40:09even thirty minutes at the beach. Wow, Okay, it was like you
- 40:14showed up and it wasn't actually a beach. It was one of those rivers
- 40:15that's supposed to look like a beach. We used to have a place here
- 40:20and a man made beach. We used to have a place here in Louisiana
- 40:24called Carnival Beach. They just dug like a big hole on the ground,
- 40:30dumped a bunch of sand in there, and we used to go there on
- 40:32the weekends and we thought it was that shit. Okay, well, we
- 40:36drove two hours to get to that beach. Just now with my hearty story.
- 40:39We spent twenty minutes there, no car. Carnival Beach was a lot
- 40:44more fun than that story you told. So anyway, before Karat destroyed the
- 40:51story, they go to the horse to destroy this story with your bread milk
- 40:55nonsense earlier. You need to just stop. Mark Bentley went to the Hearty
- 41:00Centronella. I think it's pronounced centronell, not centronella. There's no a at
- 41:06the end. We're not trying to keep moscuits out of this, no,
- 41:07okay. Thirty minutes away it was the only restaurant open. Mark was gone
- 41:13for two hours, as it took thirty minutes to get there, then an
- 41:16hour in line due to the crowds, then thirty minutes back. During that
- 41:21time, he went over to Lisa's home, but she wouldn't let him inside.
- 41:25He started crying, so she gave in and let him in the house.
- 41:32Yeah, it's terrible, but he got inside. So once inside,
- 41:37he raped her. Then he shot her three times in the head, leaving
- 41:40her line dead in her own bathroom. He left to go back to the
- 41:45Bentleys where he got a gas can, and he returned to Lisa's home.
- 41:50He covered her with the gasoline, then he set her on fire. Now,
- 41:53this caused a small explosion, and this detail was confirmed by neighbors who
- 41:58heard the explosion some point time between seven and eight pm. He headed back
- 42:04over to the Bentleys, where he hopped in the shower, and when he
- 42:08got out, Mark and Scooter had both returned because Scooter had been over at
- 42:13a friend's house helping with hurricane clean up. Yeah. Yes, his own
- 42:20mistake was not asking about the gun situation, like, hey, John,
- 42:22what are you doing with that gun? Buddy? Yeah, it was too
- 42:25nice. Now, police charged Chapman with the murder of Lisa Nichols. They
- 42:29believe he had murdered more than just Lisa and Amanda. You know, they
- 42:34don't think these were two isolated, isolated incidents. So they send out a
- 42:38bulleton nationwide to police stations with the description of the crime, his name,
- 42:42his sole security number and his birthdate. Now, surprisingly they get a call
- 42:46from the Missouri State prison system. Now they tell them that they don't know
- 42:51who this John Paul Chapman fellow is with the same birthdate and social security number
- 42:55because they have that that person with that all that info locked up in prison
- 43:00right now for robberies. So John Paul Chapman ain't John Paul Chapman. They
- 43:07got this guy in prison in Missouri. So now they need to figure out
- 43:10who is this man that killed Lisa. So there's this unknown man now that
- 43:14they have in their custody and identity thief. Yes, that's what he should
- 43:19get the chair for us. Thieve in the identity, not the murders.
- 43:22Well that too, okay, Stewart, way just back yourself into a corner.
- 43:27So they contacted his girlfriend, the girlfriend again, and she has only
- 43:30ever known him as John Paul Chapman Chapman. She did have his mother's name,
- 43:36however, and she knew that she lived in Oklahoma. So they call
- 43:38up the police there and were able to determine that the man that they had
- 43:43was named Jeremy Brian Jones and he was wanted for rape in Oklahoma. So
- 43:47by piecing together the mother's name and finding out that she lived in Oklahoma,
- 43:52they were able to identify this guy. So they bring Chapman in, who
- 43:59is now Jones, and they bring him back in to talk to him,
- 44:02so they actually use his real name and he just looks completely shocked. He's
- 44:07like, oh, oh shit. They know the gigs up. Yep.
- 44:09So they were able to find out from Jones that he purchased the Soul Security
- 44:13card from Chapman's mother when she when he was on the run for he purchased
- 44:17it for fifty dollars. She just assumed that he would John Paul Chapman was
- 44:22going to be her son, was gonna be even prisoned for the rest of
- 44:24his life. She wanted some quick money for fifty dollars, she sells the
- 44:30Soul Security number and his birthday in every all of his information. She's like,
- 44:34he's imprisoned. As the matter now with all of this, John Paul
- 44:38Chapman or Jeremy Jones had been arrested in Douglasville. But the problem is is
- 44:45that his prince worsened into the FBI, but the FBI never ran them,
- 44:51comparing to other prints that they had in their system. They just took it
- 44:52for They took his word for his name. So he has the same prince
- 44:57under Jeremy Jones and the same prince ender John Paul Chapman. So it's two
- 45:01different files with the same fingerprints. So the FBI fucked up on this one.
- 45:06Hardcore doing their job. Yeah, So if they had done this,
- 45:08they would have caught this before Lisa had been murdered, is what it comes
- 45:13down to. They would have found out this guy was lying about his identity
- 45:15and they would have figured out he was had this whole criminal history before,
- 45:21and it wasn't. Actually John Paul Chapman does that make sense to him?
- 45:25It does make sense. I mean it sucks, But basically it's just taking
- 45:30his word for us. Say he sent in his finger they sent in his
- 45:31fingerprints. They said, oh, this is John Paul Chapman. They're like,
- 45:34okay, let's start a new file. This is John Paul Chapman.
- 45:37Here's his fingerprints. But Jeremy Jones already had fingerprints at the FBI, same
- 45:43exact fingerprints in a different file. They just never ran him and figured out
- 45:46it was the same person lying about their identity. What are my pan taxes?
- 45:51For I know right right now that his identity had been revealed. Oh,
- 45:58Jones starts confess to all sorts of crimes, including the murder of Amanda,
- 46:02the sixteen year old and a forty seven year old woman in New Orleans
- 46:07named Catherine Collins, who had been ranked and stabbed back in February of two
- 46:12thousand and four, which was one month before he killed Amanda. Yeah,
- 46:15it's like he went on like a spree all of a sudden. Yeah,
- 46:17what the hell. Now, police in Alabama notify the FBI, who starts
- 46:22investigating Jeremy Jones for his crimes. Now, in two thousand and five,
- 46:28Jones went on trial for the murder of Lisa Nichols. He was found guilty
- 46:31and on November twenty nine, two thousand and five, was sentenced to death.
- 46:35He appealed his conviction but was denied. Now, the FBI publicly apologized
- 46:39to the family of Lisa Nichols for messing up on those fingerprints, which would
- 46:44have stopped Jones in Georgia. And he would have never made it to Alabama
- 46:47to kill Lisa, so this was there. If they had have done this,
- 46:51he would have been I mean, she would still be alive, sadly,
- 46:55not sad that she'd be alive. I'm saying, like, sadly they
- 46:58didn't stop. Oh you think would have got that counts. I don't know,
- 47:01Stewart. People are harsh in the reviews, Okay they are. I'm
- 47:06just trying to clarify. It's very sad that the FBI messed this up because
- 47:08Lisa would still be alive from a simple I don't want to say simple clerical
- 47:15arabert it kinda was, you know, because it is clerical. They should
- 47:19have ran those prints to make sure he didn't match anybody else on the database.
- 47:23Yes, So he is currently still in prison at the home in Corrucial
- 47:28Facility and at More, Alabama. He has been linked to murders in Georgia,
- 47:31Oklahoma, Kansas, and Louisiana, but has only been charged in Lisa's
- 47:36murders. So they never even I guess he got the death penalty and they
- 47:39just didn't. And if he ever gets on parole, and here's about this
- 47:43podcast, it could be linked to two more murders and was Yeah, anyways,
- 47:49but that's our case. So when we've been doing a lot of serial
- 47:52killers, I feel like, do we didn't even know. We didn't know
- 47:54well the people. The people didn't know. We didn't plan on doing the
- 47:59people didn't know. They didn't know until we got into and they're like,
- 48:00oh shit, these people have murdered multiple people. So yeah, I think
- 48:07I'm gonna do a series on Louisiana serial killers because we have quite a few
- 48:10big ones, some of that didn't even know about. But yeah, well
- 48:14I think I'll do that. But do you have a y'all need Jesus too?
- 48:17Of course I got a y'all need Jesus. What do you want?
- 48:22I want? Short and sweet? Short and sweet, I got that one.
- 48:24Okay, all right. Man tells deputies he only drank at stop signs
- 48:31and traffic signals, so he technically wasn't drinking and technically wasn't drinking a drab.
- 48:40I mean Florida, not Florida. This is using some critical thinking skills
- 48:46and some manipulations. I'm gonna go with not Florida. Fox thirteen, July
- 48:52eleven, twenty eighteen, Tampa Bay, Florida, Arreo Beach, Florida.
- 48:59A man was arrested for driving under the influence, but told officers he was
- 49:02not that he was only drinking at the stop signs and stop lights, not
- 49:07while he was driving. Indian County Sheriff's deputies were called to a McDonald's and
- 49:13Barrel Beach because of a car that was repeatedly bumping the car in front of
- 49:17it in the drive through. When a deputy arrived, he found Earl Stevens,
- 49:22age sixty nine, in his vehicle with an open brown paper bag with
- 49:28a bottle of Jimmy in the passenger's seat. He told deputies he didn't recall
- 49:34bumping the car in front of him. Stevens, who only had a Florida
- 49:38ID card, told the responding deputy that he had never had a valid Florida
- 49:44driver's license. The deputy noted the strong smell of alcohol on Stephen's breath and
- 49:49saw his eyes were red and his speech was slurred, kind of like carrots.
- 49:54Oh, shut up, and asked him how he was feeling. I'm
- 49:58feeling pretty good, Stevens told deputy. According to that arrest, after David
- 50:02Stevens told the deputy he had about three or four drinks, but he wasn't
- 50:07drinking while the car was in motion, only when he stopped stop signs and
- 50:12traffic signals. I don't appreciated. I don't think drinking and driving is anything
- 50:15to laugh about. I really think it's one of the crimes that needs to
- 50:19be that is people don't put take enough punishment with or whatever. And it
- 50:24really is because you could really seriously hurt somebody or whatever, kill people and
- 50:30things like that. But I appreciate his creative thinking, especially since he's from
- 50:35Florida. Yeah, that's pretty creative. I appreciate he had he had.
- 50:38He had what he had stuff out of expiration, his driver's license or whatever.
- 50:44He never had a Battle of Florida license. He only had an ID
- 50:47card. Okay, I can appreciate that. Because my inspection sticker has been
- 50:51out for one whole year as of this month. Why I thought I just
- 50:54expired last month. No, it expired a year ago start experret of June
- 51:00to twenty twenty two. And I was gonna win it. If I got
- 51:04stopped. I was gonna use the excuse that I just had a baby.
- 51:07But that was a year ago. Oh, it was a year ago.
- 51:10Now, I don't think it's gonna work. It's not. It's an eighty
- 51:14dollar fun probably calling up now asked me how I know it's an eighty dollar
- 51:17fun now. Stevens also told the deputy he had prescription medication before he began
- 51:23drinking nice and admitted to actively drinking. From Port Saint lou Port Saint Lucy
- 51:31to Indian River County, Stevens was asked to do a field sobriety test where
- 51:37he was a bird where he was Do you need a field sobriety test?
- 51:43I am not driving, You're not dying, but you're reading. Doesn't matter.
- 51:47I don't need a field sobriety test for ain't drown. So he was
- 51:51given a field sobriety test. He passed on the cop let him leave?
- 51:54What now? The cop observed him so annoying, Stuart, you do this
- 52:00all the time during what we're doing these things and so annoying. The cop
- 52:02observed him swaying side to side, and allegedly he later blew a point one
- 52:08five three and also a point one four seven on his breathalyzer test. He
- 52:15was arrested and charged with DUI and driving without a ballad Florida Driver's Life and
- 52:20his inspection sticker was held, and deputies also say that he had two prior
- 52:25DUIs in the state of Missouri. Did you have you seen the thing where
- 52:30it's I've seen a video and I think it was like Instagram or whatever,
- 52:34and there's some police to have I seen Instagram. No, anyways, there's
- 52:37some police department that actually requests for volunteers to come drink so that they can
- 52:45their officers can be trained in the field sobriety tests. So you come in
- 52:50and you get a drink, get to drink, and you take sobriety tests.
- 52:53Anyways, it's pretty funny because it's like four girls that found out about
- 52:57this, like four young girls, you know, college age or whatever,
- 53:00and like best friends and so they go in there and they just like having
- 53:05the time of their lifelight doing and they got these like cute cops and everything
- 53:07around them and stuff and everything that that was pretty funny. And then we're
- 53:10all arrested for DUI trying to drive home from No. No, that would
- 53:14be awesome. No, it was just like a funny thing, like you
- 53:16could you could actually volunteer at the police station. They requested volunteers to come
- 53:22drink and let the police officers train doing filled sobriety test with you with people
- 53:28that were actually intoxicated, so they can see what it was like, we
- 53:30could have cops come over here while we're recording bring booze. Well, I
- 53:34actually looked it up to see if we did it here, and they don't
- 53:37do it here. I know what's wrong with us. They don't have that
- 53:40thing. It was like Indiana or something like that. It's probably because I
- 53:44ain't got the drinking and driving that we got Marty grown every festival and the
- 53:50problem our insurance rates are for car insurance or out the yes anyways, because
- 53:58of our poor drinking and driving record stats. Yes anyways anyways, all right,
- 54:06well thank you. Um, I don't think there's gonna be an episode
- 54:10next week. You don't think, are you know not? It's July four,
- 54:15is we're probably not gonna do one next week. We'll probably, guys,
- 54:17we need a break. Two Okay, we've been doing We've been solid
- 54:21since the beginning of the year. So we'll probably take off July fourth and
- 54:25we'll be back. We're gonna shoot guns, drink beer, Stewart launch fireworks.
- 54:30No, we're not gonna be out there in my Daisy dukes. Oh
- 54:32god, I will not film that for you guys, but um, anyway,
- 54:37so pay check out the Patreon, buy me a coffee right with you,
- 54:42subscribe, Instagram, Facebook, whatever else and other stuff. I think
- 54:50that's it, so I guess we'll see you next time. By or one
