- 0:12Speaker 2: Hey chicks, I'm out and this is two wrote Chicks,
- 0:15Speaker 2: the show that shares life lessons and tips to make
- 0:18Speaker 2: you rich in life. And hope you're in for a
- 0:21Speaker 2: love episode or maybe even a drama episode because that's
- 0:26Speaker 2: gonna be juicy.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I'm excited.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We are doing dating horror stories, so you cheeks have
- 0:31Speaker 2: sent in your dating horror stories because it's Valentine's Day
- 0:35Speaker 2: this week.
- 0:37Speaker 3: So we'll better time to talk about dating horror story.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I think it's actually the best time so that we
- 0:43Speaker 1: can all collectively hold hands in kumbaya through the trauma
- 0:47Speaker 1: that is dating.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie glad. I'm out of those
- 0:51Speaker 3: fucking woods, I know.
- 0:53Speaker 1: So we've had you chicks text in and send us
- 0:56Speaker 1: a bunch of your stories and and I haven't looked
- 1:01Speaker 1: at any of them. May neither because I want to
- 1:04Speaker 1: be surprised and shocked, gooped and garg But before we
- 1:09Speaker 1: get into the episode, we always discuss our obsessions of the.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Sally love of my life.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Wow, my Valentine, if you will, what is your obsession.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Of the week. It's not very romantic. But my obsession
- 1:24Speaker 2: of the week is a TV show, and it's the
- 1:27Speaker 2: new Goosebumps, the Vanishing TV series. Rosqueller, Yes, with David
- 1:32Speaker 2: Swimmer Rosqueller Rosqueller and he I feel like he basically
- 1:36Speaker 2: some respect on his name. I feel like he basically
- 1:40Speaker 2: plays the exact same real character. It's very similar. But
- 1:43Speaker 2: he's a dad, but he's still that sort of bubbling guy.
- 1:49Speaker 2: But if you were a fan of the original Goosebump series,
- 1:52Speaker 2: or if you're a fan of TV shows like Stranger Things,
- 1:55Speaker 2: you'll like it. It's an easy watch. It's like horror,
- 1:59Speaker 2: but it's not actually scary. It's more creepy in that
- 2:03Speaker 2: sort of like Goosebumps nineties vibe. And it also has
- 2:06Speaker 2: a really good soundtrack. Yeah, is it all old music?
- 2:10Speaker 2: It's pretty much all nineties there, because the throwback of
- 2:13Speaker 2: the story is said in the nineties, and then you
- 2:16Speaker 2: know they're sort of uncovering what has happened, and I
- 2:21Speaker 2: like that. It's really cool. And all of the episodes
- 2:24Speaker 2: are throwbacks to the original Goosebump stories, So if you're
- 2:28Speaker 2: a fan, you'll be like, oh my god, because there's
- 2:30Speaker 2: a little easter eggs and stuff in there, and if
- 2:32Speaker 2: you're not, like, it's still yeah, love that cure. What's yours?
- 2:38Speaker 1: My obsession of the week is what I truly believe.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I think I found the holy grail and I think
- 2:45Speaker 1: I have found the universally perfect.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Maxie slip dress.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Oh tell me so.
- 2:53Speaker 3: It's from Raife, the label R A F.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And it is the most beautiful.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Slip dress ever.
- 3:05Speaker 1: And it's in black, which obviously, but it does also
- 3:08Speaker 1: come in like kind of like an oystery pink, and
- 3:13Speaker 1: it's thick straps, so you can wear a bra number
- 3:16Speaker 1: one that's always a number one requirement, not a low back,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and it's like a really like the material is heavy
- 3:24Speaker 1: ish but still super flowy.
- 3:27Speaker 3: You could dress it up, you could.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Dress it down like I could easily wear it to
- 3:30Speaker 1: a wedding, and I could also easily chuck some sneakers
- 3:33Speaker 1: on and wear it to the markets and like a
- 3:36Speaker 1: baseball cap, you know, like it is just the most
- 3:39Speaker 1: perfect slip dress I have ever.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Ever worn, and I love it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I want one. You should buy one, or you can
- 3:45Speaker 2: always borrow a mind perfect that was what you're really
- 3:49Speaker 2: going for as a short girlie. I feel like the
- 3:52Speaker 2: length is really good because as well.
- 3:55Speaker 1: One of my pet peeves is when like you wear
- 3:57Speaker 1: a Maxi dress and either it's like dragging on the
- 4:01Speaker 1: floor and I look like I'm like a little girl
- 4:03Speaker 1: dressing up in my mum's clothing. Or two it's too
- 4:07Speaker 1: short that when I sit down it then looks like
- 4:09Speaker 1: a Midi.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's Maxie. She's a maxy girl.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And anyway, I love it. It's gorgeous.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And they're an Australian brand, aren't they they are? Yeah?
- 4:18Speaker 3: I love that. Yeah, it's a ten out of ten.
- 4:21Speaker 2: All right, should we get into the dating horror story.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Let's go our first dating horror story. Hey, chicks strap
- 4:33Speaker 2: in for this messy one.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Oh okay, wait.
- 4:38Speaker 2: She strapped in. My ex and I dated back when
- 4:42Speaker 2: I was eighteen. I broke it off due to communication
- 4:45Speaker 2: breakdowns and moral differences. I would love the content moral difference.
- 4:51Speaker 2: We reconnected a year later and he said he wanted
- 4:54Speaker 2: to try again and he had grown. He then went
- 4:57Speaker 2: back to his hometown and slept with someone else, ghosted me,
- 5:00Speaker 2: and started posting her less than forty eight hours after
- 5:04Speaker 2: having dinner with me and my parents. Fuck, I had
- 5:08Speaker 2: my nineteen year old meltdown and got past it, removing
- 5:11Speaker 2: him on Everything good Girl. While he was still dating
- 5:14Speaker 2: this girl, he kept requesting to follow me on Instagram
- 5:17Speaker 2: and add me back on Snapchat. I was very confused
- 5:21Speaker 2: as to why he was trying to follow me again.
- 5:23Speaker 2: This went on for three years of me constantly declining
- 5:27Speaker 2: his follow requests. End of last year, I got very
- 5:31Speaker 2: drunk and said fuck it and let him follow me.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Damn it. Him and the girl had now broken up.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I haven't dated anyone since him due to the epidemic
- 5:39Speaker 2: of situationships.
- 5:42Speaker 3: It is a true epidemic.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, five minutes after accepting it, he starts texting me
- 5:47Speaker 2: that he missed being friends with me and that I
- 5:50Speaker 2: got him like no one else did. He also said
- 5:52Speaker 2: he wasn't trying to date me or convince me to
- 5:54Speaker 2: date him, but he wanted to apologize for what he did.
- 5:57Speaker 2: He knew he hurt me and had no right to
- 5:59Speaker 2: my response or company, but he wanted to go back
- 6:01Speaker 2: to being friends. Me, being stupid, agreed to be friends
- 6:05Speaker 2: with him. I haven't hung out with him even though
- 6:07Speaker 2: he wants to, but I do find myself texting him
- 6:09Speaker 2: nearly every time I'm drunk and I'm finding myself imagining
- 6:13Speaker 2: a relationship with him again and bringing up old feelings.
- 6:17Speaker 2: So chicks, now that we're twenty two and hopefully more mature,
- 6:20Speaker 2: do I try with him again three years later? Or
- 6:22Speaker 2: do I block him on everything and go back to
- 6:25Speaker 2: being at peace with no contact and deal with the
- 6:27Speaker 2: small heartbreak that we can never be again.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Block him, Fuck that guy.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Block him.
- 6:33Speaker 1: No, Because the fact that he was requesting to follow
- 6:39Speaker 1: you and like crawl from under the rock that you
- 6:44Speaker 1: banished him to and he's trying to crawl out like
- 6:47Speaker 1: little fucking gremlin. I'm like picturing that like nosferatum with
- 6:52Speaker 1: like the guy coming out of like the great thing,
- 6:54Speaker 1: like getting me out that like he that's like, that's fucked.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Like the fact that he was dating someone else and
- 7:03Speaker 1: trying to request to follow you is just so yuck.
- 7:07Speaker 1: The fact that like he went and had dinner with
- 7:09Speaker 1: your family and then forty eight hours is like messaging
- 7:13Speaker 1: another girl.
- 7:13Speaker 3: And I know this happened three years ago, but no.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Yeah, And the fact that he's been requesting to follow
- 7:19Speaker 2: you consistently over the last three years while he had
- 7:22Speaker 2: been dating so a lot. But the fact that he
- 7:25Speaker 2: continued to request to follow you while he was dating
- 7:29Speaker 2: somebody else for three years shows that he hasn't grown. Yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 2: because if he really was, like, I'm so sorry for
- 7:36Speaker 2: what I did to her, I feel really bad, he
- 7:39Speaker 2: would have respected the fact that you haven't accepted and
- 7:41Speaker 2: left you alone.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:43Speaker 2: And like the fact that he's apologizing to you about
- 7:46Speaker 2: being a piece of shit then treating another girl like
- 7:49Speaker 2: a piece of shit exactly what you just said, shows
- 7:51Speaker 2: he hasn't grown. I know there's probably like some part
- 7:54Speaker 2: of you that when his name pops up on your
- 7:57Speaker 2: phone and he said that he was really sorry, and
- 7:59Speaker 2: you know what, it probably was a really convincing and
- 8:02Speaker 2: beautiful apology, and like maybe he even did mean it,
- 8:04Speaker 2: you know. But and I know that there was like
- 8:07Speaker 2: a sparkly little flutter in your chest of being like,
- 8:09Speaker 2: oh my god, like maybe he has changed, And of
- 8:12Speaker 2: course you want to believe that, of course, like there
- 8:14Speaker 2: is absolutely nothing wrong with the fact that, like you're like,
- 8:18Speaker 2: oh my god, like that.
- 8:20Speaker 3: You want to believe that. But I think.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Even in your message, you know the right thing to
- 8:26Speaker 1: do is to block him, because you literally said and
- 8:31Speaker 1: find peace. Yeah, Like this guy just sounds like a headache.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't think he's grown up. No, you
- 8:40Speaker 3: should block him. I think you should give yourself peace.
- 8:43Speaker 1: And I promise you that, like you're going to meet someone,
- 8:45Speaker 1: whether it's like in a month or into your time
- 8:49Speaker 1: or whenever it is, and you're like, oh my.
- 8:50Speaker 2: God, this is what it's supposed to be, like like
- 8:52Speaker 2: this was so easy.
- 8:54Speaker 3: And the other thing to.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Put on top of that is because you haven't blocked
- 8:59Speaker 1: him him, he's like taking up space in like this
- 9:04Speaker 1: sounds so fucking lame.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I love this.
- 9:07Speaker 1: He's taking up like space in like your heart and
- 9:10Speaker 1: like your brain, so that you're not opening yourself up
- 9:13Speaker 1: to actually meeting someone who isn't like a dung beetle,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you know, like because you're drunk and you're messaging him,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you're not actually like open to meeting new people. Like
- 9:24Speaker 1: I've been there, I've done that, and it was only
- 9:27Speaker 1: once I actually cut the person off that I was
- 9:30Speaker 1: actually open to meeting people.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And then that's when I met Rob. Yeah. So yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 3: dung beetle blocked.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, block him, block.
- 9:38Speaker 3: The dung beetle.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna ask this to you as a smash
- 9:43Speaker 1: of pass oh okay, okay.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Red flag, green flag. I need you to tell me
- 9:49Speaker 3: is this a dating red flag?
- 9:51Speaker 1: In the first five minutes of meeting him, he was
- 9:54Speaker 1: telling me how he broke ligaments in his finger from
- 9:57Speaker 1: fingering a girl too hard.
- 9:59Speaker 3: It was not a recent injury. He was fully healed.
- 10:02Speaker 2: And proceeded to show me using hand gestures in the
- 10:05Speaker 2: middle of a cafe with his family around.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Oh god, I wish.
- 10:13Speaker 1: We had a video.
- 10:14Speaker 3: I don't know if I'm im no, but can you
- 10:19Speaker 3: imagine how fucking painful.
- 10:22Speaker 2: That problem was?
- 10:22Speaker 3: My girl? You should not be fingering that fucking hard.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I'm just imagining him like phishing a guitar, pick out
- 10:31Speaker 2: a guitar, you know, like when that when I get
- 10:33Speaker 2: stuck at the bottom. The thing for me was when
- 10:35Speaker 2: in the first five minutes.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm not letting.
- 10:37Speaker 2: You speak because I'm still.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Every detail that one sentence, because when you first described
- 10:46Speaker 4: it and you said in the first five minutes, I
- 10:48Speaker 4: was like, Oh, this must have been at a day party,
- 10:51Speaker 4: or you know, like they've run into each other on
- 10:53Speaker 4: a night out and so you know, you're drunk and
- 10:55Speaker 4: you're telling a stupid story where you.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Were, or you know, like his hand is like bandaged up,
- 11:01Speaker 2: like his jar and his fingers like that kind of thing.
- 11:03Speaker 2: But no, it's a healed it's a healed injury. And
- 11:07Speaker 2: you're relaying this story in the first five minutes in
- 11:10Speaker 2: broad fucking daylight. Why are your parents there as well?
- 11:14Speaker 2: By the way, like, do they own the cafe? I'm
- 11:17Speaker 2: good serving you coffee. I'm googling can you break ligaments
- 11:21Speaker 2: from fingering? The only thing that comes up is a
- 11:26Speaker 2: Reddit forum, and it goes, questioned, will this fingering position
- 11:30Speaker 2: damage my finger? It was probably him moments before he
- 11:35Speaker 2: tore his ligaments.
- 11:36Speaker 3: He could have gone pro, but he tore his finger limit.
- 11:42Speaker 3: He was like, I was actually in a band, but
- 11:44Speaker 3: then I fingered too.
- 11:45Speaker 2: If I break my fingers, that story should never be
- 11:48Speaker 2: told when the sun is still up.
- 11:50Speaker 3: That story should never be told.
- 11:52Speaker 2: For the star.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Oh there's a link.
- 11:55Speaker 2: I'm not pressing when I press that.
- 11:58Speaker 5: Oh no, Oh, he was playing guitar guitar when you're
- 12:06Speaker 5: at the reddit.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Oh my god, about fingering a guitar string.
- 12:13Speaker 3: He's literally playing guitar.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Is that how this guy did? Oh my god, let's
- 12:18Speaker 2: give him the benefit of the doubt. He goes, I'm
- 12:20Speaker 2: referring to the middle finger. It feels very weird playing
- 12:23Speaker 2: this chord. It's very practical though, maybe I just need
- 12:26Speaker 2: to get used to the feeling. Just some thoughts. And
- 12:28Speaker 2: then another guy's like, as long as you don't push
- 12:30Speaker 2: you hard, No, it shouldn't hurt your finger.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Like, there's nothing I'm like, was he lying? Okay? Also,
- 12:39Speaker 3: I swear you can't break a ligament. You can only
- 12:41Speaker 3: tear them.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I know you can snap them. Yeah, because Chris did that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: But when he was pulling down his pants because he
- 12:47Speaker 2: was really excited to get into his pajamas, I was
- 12:50Speaker 2: it was very important to finish that story with the
- 12:53Speaker 2: sac It wasn't. I wasn't there. He was leon wow,
- 13:00Speaker 2: oh my god. Okay, we're on a theme now. Oh no,
- 13:04Speaker 2: the next one?
- 13:07Speaker 3: Ah yeah yeah ye yah yeah yeah yeah yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Yeah ye yeah yeah Okay our next dating horror story,
- 13:14Speaker 2: heyce alan ol horror story. Not sure if it's dating exactly,
- 13:18Speaker 2: but still funny and awful. Apologies if this is TMI.
- 13:21Speaker 1: That's literally the description of all of my dating histories
- 13:25Speaker 1: is funny and awful.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I invited this guy over that I knew from high school.
- 13:29Speaker 2: We had done things before, but never sex. When he
- 13:33Speaker 2: came over. We did have sex. He was fingering me
- 13:37Speaker 2: and at some point he switched to his dick. I
- 13:39Speaker 2: hadn't realized and said no, no, I hadn't realized and
- 13:45Speaker 2: said you can put it in now, and he responded with.
- 13:49Speaker 6: I have.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Oh no.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I was so embarrassed and didn't finish, but he did. Afterwards,
- 13:58Speaker 2: we were laying next to each other and he was
- 14:00Speaker 2: telling me which of my friends he thought was hot
- 14:04Speaker 2: and he would sleep with. I made up some story
- 14:07Speaker 2: about why he needed to leave. I was so gobsmacked
- 14:10Speaker 2: about the whole thing. I blocked him sometime after. Oh
- 14:15Speaker 2: my god, I was sorry for God.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I'm glad. What a douche.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, because we know it's not all about size. No,
- 14:26Speaker 2: we're not shaming anybody for anything like that. It's just
- 14:29Speaker 2: the discomfort that that moment would have had. Yeah, in
- 14:32Speaker 2: such like an intimate moment, but also like what a douche?
- 14:37Speaker 3: Yeah, what a finger?
- 14:40Speaker 1: What would you do if someone turned to you like
- 14:44Speaker 1: post coital and it was like, yeah, these are what's like?
- 14:50Speaker 3: See, this is shit with you because you've you've been
- 14:53Speaker 3: with the love of your life since you were fifteen
- 14:55Speaker 3: years old.
- 14:56Speaker 1: That I can't ask you, what's the weirdest.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Thing someone said to you after.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Literally do you want to know? I'll reveal you'll throw yourself.
- 15:05Speaker 3: I'm the ying to your yang. Yes, will I got
- 15:10Speaker 3: the content for us.
- 15:12Speaker 2: You know. I had to carry Bradshaw sex in the
- 15:16Speaker 2: city moment where I just slept with this model and
- 15:20Speaker 2: he turns to me and he goes, yeah, basically just
- 15:22Speaker 2: like after I sleep with a chicken, I'm just like
- 15:24Speaker 2: not really interested in it anymore again. I mean, Alicia, honest,
- 15:33Speaker 2: I know, like what an awful thing to say to
- 15:35Speaker 2: I was.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Like, what a way?
- 15:37Speaker 2: So?
- 15:38Speaker 1: And I think I was like, so, are you like
- 15:40Speaker 1: never going to speak to me again? And he was like,
- 15:43Speaker 1: oh no, like I'll still talk to you.
- 15:46Speaker 3: He did, My God, he didn't.
- 15:50Speaker 2: And then I think like six months later he tried
- 15:53Speaker 2: to like rematch with me on an app and I
- 15:55Speaker 2: was like, did you forget that we already? Maybe he
- 16:01Speaker 2: let his intrusive thoughts win that day. I was like, Okay,
- 16:07Speaker 2: that's probably the weirdest things anyone said to me after sex.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I've just saen in capital letters. This was
- 16:13Speaker 1: the most mortifying experience of my life.
- 16:16Speaker 2: I wanted to die.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Let's get into it strap in. Hey, Sol, Now, I
- 16:23Speaker 2: hope you chicks. He well, I hope this femail here
- 16:27Speaker 2: is a first date horror story for you. I hope
- 16:29Speaker 2: she shit her pants. I'm just getting that vibe. I'm
- 16:32Speaker 2: just getting that vibe. A couple of years ago, I
- 16:35Speaker 2: went on a first date with one of my friend's
- 16:37Speaker 2: brothers friends friends brother's friends.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Okay, who is a bit older than me. First mistake. Lol,
- 16:44Speaker 3: let's call him Jake. I love the fake names.
- 16:46Speaker 1: There always a j We were talking back and forth
- 16:49Speaker 1: when I was overseas on holiday and we both decided
- 16:52Speaker 1: that we will go on a date.
- 16:53Speaker 3: When I get back.
- 16:54Speaker 2: First of all, the first date that Jake planned was
- 16:56Speaker 2: for me to go and watch him play indoor football.
- 17:00Speaker 6: That suck.
- 17:01Speaker 2: That so sucks the whoa Jake.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I went along with it and met him at the game.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Everything was going well until I was sitting in the grandstand.
- 17:11Speaker 2: I got hit in the face by the ball.
- 17:15Speaker 6: No, no, do.
- 17:17Speaker 2: You know what being at Rob's soccer games that is
- 17:21Speaker 2: a genuine fear of Lifeah, that was the first horror
- 17:25Speaker 2: of this first day.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Oh, you would have been so embarrassed, you poor baby.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I continued to watch the game, and then Jake walked
- 17:31Speaker 1: me out back to my car after the game. This
- 17:34Speaker 1: was the date, by the way, just me watching him
- 17:37Speaker 1: play a football game, no dinner, no real conversation, nothing
- 17:40Speaker 1: red flag. As we were saying goodbye, we went in
- 17:44Speaker 1: for the most awkward, longest hug I've ever had, and
- 17:47Speaker 1: I'm a hugger, so that says a lot. As the
- 17:50Speaker 1: hug ended, we both went in for a kiss, and
- 17:52Speaker 1: because Jake had such a.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Bushy long beard, I couldn't find his lips and I
- 17:58Speaker 2: ended up kissing his bit was the most mortifying experience
- 18:04Speaker 2: of my life.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I wanted to die.
- 18:07Speaker 2: I proceeded to say to Jake, I'm sorry and laughed
- 18:10Speaker 2: really awkwardly.
- 18:12Speaker 3: This was the end of the date, and then we
- 18:13Speaker 3: both got into our cars.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Jake drove off and I sat in my car for
- 18:17Speaker 2: what seemed like forever processing what just happened. I then
- 18:20Speaker 2: made sure that no one was around, and I screamed
- 18:23Speaker 2: at the top.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Of my lungs.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Out of embarrassment, and then I drove home and then
- 18:30Speaker 2: I tried to sleep off on what was the most
- 18:32Speaker 2: horrifying first.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Date that I've ever been on. Thank you for.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Reading and listening, and I hope this was entertaining.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Love your Chicks from Sophie.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Okay, oh, I'm going to rank my top three favorite
- 18:46Speaker 1: moments of that story.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I'm gonna start from number three. It was her kissing
- 18:50Speaker 3: his beard.
- 18:51Speaker 2: That was good.
- 18:52Speaker 3: How long was it?
- 18:54Speaker 2: Yeah? How little was his mouth.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Literally like excavating.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he should have led with his lips to find hers.
- 19:05Speaker 3: Number two was that he played indoor football.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Not you're getting hit in the face. I didn't like that,
- 19:11Speaker 1: but I felt that in myself for you.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 3: And then number one was the scream in the car.
- 19:18Speaker 2: That is so fucking real that you were so real
- 19:22Speaker 2: for that. That is just the fact that the first
- 19:25Speaker 2: date was so bad you have to scream in your
- 19:28Speaker 2: car on your own. Oh real, I hope.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I actually feel like that's the measure of a good
- 19:32Speaker 3: first date.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Screaming in the car, screaming in the car on your own.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yeah, fuck, that's good.
- 19:38Speaker 2: I hope you never saw this man again. What a fuck.
- 19:42Speaker 3: That is why he is single. That is why he
- 19:45Speaker 3: is single.
- 19:46Speaker 2: Honestly, what would you do if somebody invited you to
- 19:49Speaker 2: watch some play sport for your first date? Would you
- 19:51Speaker 2: say no?
- 19:51Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever gone to watch someone play
- 19:56Speaker 1: sport except for Rob, and I only went after like
- 19:58Speaker 1: we were dating. For like here it's a girlfriend, then
- 20:00Speaker 1: that's a girlfriend thing because that's an obligation.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I think it's the last time I did that was
- 20:05Speaker 2: maybe in like high school, because you live at home,
- 20:07Speaker 2: so you have to go outside and go to like
- 20:10Speaker 2: a third party. But it would also be like a
- 20:12Speaker 2: group thing, like I wasn't just there on my own.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Get bab you've got? That should have been like try
- 20:25Speaker 2: hardly breathe and seeing how he reacted, and that would
- 20:29Speaker 2: have been the true measure of him as a man. Yuck.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I hate that. Do you know what?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Bring back the guy with the broken finger ligaments rather that. Okay,
- 20:39Speaker 1: so we finally got a voice note because we've been begging.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So please send more voice notes to us if you
- 20:47Speaker 1: want advice because it's so fun.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Or I'll or maybe some other admin person that's employed
- 20:52Speaker 6: by you guys.
- 20:54Speaker 2: False, it was me. It was.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Weird.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I we reply to all of our messages, so I
- 21:03Speaker 2: just want to pop that in it. That's why they're
- 21:05Speaker 2: so unhinged.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Yeah, what I'm struggling with is being broken up from
- 21:10Speaker 6: somebody and absolutely knowing what I need to do. I
- 21:12Speaker 6: need to focus on myself and I'm fine. I am
- 21:15Speaker 6: actually doing really well, but like I just can't help.
- 21:18Speaker 6: But my truth is that I don't believe their relationship's over.
- 21:21Speaker 6: I believe I'm going.
- 21:22Speaker 2: To marry this boy.
- 21:23Speaker 6: I believe we're going to have children. Like he feels
- 21:26Speaker 6: like the one he's my soul met. I'm totally in
- 21:29Speaker 6: love with him. And the reality is the sacrifices that
- 21:31Speaker 6: I made, some of them I would continue to make.
- 21:35Speaker 6: He is representing Ireland at boxing, and he also has
- 21:38Speaker 6: an amazing career in the corporate world that's really unknown.
- 21:41Speaker 6: It's unheard of. His life and the way he lives
- 21:44Speaker 6: his life and the way he chases his dreams and
- 21:46Speaker 6: works so hard is amazing and I'm in full support
- 21:49Speaker 6: of it. The reason I had to walk away is
- 21:51Speaker 6: because after an extended period of time, my needs we're
- 21:56Speaker 6: not being met in terms of like we can't book
- 21:59Speaker 6: trips way, we can't go for spa weekends. We can
- 22:03Speaker 6: sometimes go for dinner, but we just don't do that.
- 22:05Speaker 6: We don't really have nice day and nights. I don't
- 22:07Speaker 6: get dressed up and go out. We don't do that
- 22:09Speaker 6: shit because he's constantly training.
- 22:11Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 22:12Speaker 6: I can deal with that. I would prefer to be
- 22:14Speaker 6: in a relationship where I was spoilt and where we
- 22:16Speaker 6: went for meals and had holidays and flights booked all
- 22:19Speaker 6: the time. Yeah, that would be stunning. But I love
- 22:22Speaker 6: him and I support his lifestyle, so I'm okay with
- 22:25Speaker 6: sacrificing that side of the relationship. I can do those
- 22:28Speaker 6: things with my friends. The reason why I walked away
- 22:30Speaker 6: is because me communicating that I was feeling like an
- 22:35Speaker 6: on priority that my needs were not being met, was
- 22:38Speaker 6: met with resistance from his end. He is struggling with
- 22:42Speaker 6: his own mental health. I feel like he's going through physical, emotional,
- 22:45Speaker 6: mental burnout and he didn't know how to give me
- 22:50Speaker 6: any more. His responses would have been like, I don't
- 22:53Speaker 6: know what more you want for me. I'm doing everything
- 22:54Speaker 6: that I can. His schedule is mental, so I can
- 22:58Speaker 6: completely empathize with that. He's also riddled with undiagnosed ALYHD,
- 23:02Speaker 6: so he struggles with basic things of like prioritization.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Blah blah blah.
- 23:06Speaker 6: I left him. I didn't want to, but I left
- 23:09Speaker 6: him because I was like, I can't do this. Anymore.
- 23:11Speaker 6: And I deserve somebody who can show up for me
- 23:14Speaker 6: in all those nice ways, but also if they can't
- 23:16Speaker 6: at least be able to communicate and make me feel
- 23:19Speaker 6: like I'm not the problem. And I suppose my question
- 23:22Speaker 6: is just is it a really big mistake to continue
- 23:26Speaker 6: this breakup with oh the hopes that we're going to
- 23:31Speaker 6: get back together? Like is that my first error? Like
- 23:33Speaker 6: I basically am trying to figure out how the hell
- 23:36Speaker 6: to continue this breakup when my good feeling tells me
- 23:38Speaker 6: that he's doing the work and that we'll find our
- 23:40Speaker 6: way back to each other. Is that stupid? Am I
- 23:43Speaker 6: making a mistake here? All advice would be so appreciated.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Thank you so much. I want to cry. My god,
- 23:51Speaker 2: Oh my god, I literally have like a lump in
- 23:53Speaker 2: my throat in your voice and.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Oh, I just want to give her a big fucking
- 24:03Speaker 1: cuddle me too.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I'll be your Irish bucker.
- 24:07Speaker 1: I'll spoon you, I'll take you out for dinners and
- 24:11Speaker 1: you can borrow my clothes too.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, like that's a good deal.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you can do each other's makeup and oh, darling,
- 24:19Speaker 2: I just fuck you were in the thick of it.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You were in the absolute thick of your feels right now,
- 24:29Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 24:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think she's in a hard place because it's
- 24:33Speaker 2: so fresh and she still loves him, and it's not
- 24:37Speaker 2: like he has done anything necessarily wrong. It's like you
- 24:42Speaker 2: cheated on her or something like that, where you can
- 24:44Speaker 2: sort of make a hard and fast like, Okay, I'll
- 24:46Speaker 2: just push them away. I know they're wrong for me.
- 24:49Speaker 2: There's a little bit more gray area, which I almost
- 24:51Speaker 2: think makes the breakup.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Harder one hundred percent. It's a lot easier to break
- 24:55Speaker 3: up with someone when you hate them.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think he but the way that he
- 25:01Speaker 2: responded when you shared that your needs weren't being met
- 25:04Speaker 2: and he said, oh, well, I'm doing everything I can,
- 25:07Speaker 2: when he's clearly not or just couldn't even ask you, Okay,
- 25:11Speaker 2: well what do you want me to do? What can
- 25:13Speaker 2: I do? The fact that there's not even a five
- 25:17Speaker 2: percent change in effort. Yeah, And she did say, I
- 25:21Speaker 2: know that he's now doing the work, but what is that.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I would love to know what the context is of
- 25:28Speaker 2: him doing the work, because I just don't want you
- 25:32Speaker 2: to end up back with him and then you're stuck
- 25:34Speaker 2: in the same place where you're a second priority in
- 25:37Speaker 2: somebody's life, and you should be their first priority. That
- 25:41Speaker 2: doesn't mean that they have to give up their dreams
- 25:43Speaker 2: and their career, but they should be communicating with you
- 25:46Speaker 2: and still making sure that you feel satisfied in your
- 25:50Speaker 2: needs are being met in the relationship.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Yeah, oh, I know.
- 25:55Speaker 2: And I think one of the hardest things with a
- 25:57Speaker 2: breakup is that you just you feel everything you feel,
- 26:01Speaker 2: every positive thing, that you don't really remember the bad stuff,
- 26:06Speaker 2: and you want it back so much that you kind
- 26:08Speaker 2: of justify some of the things that did upset you
- 26:10Speaker 2: that you're like, do you know what, It's actually not
- 26:12Speaker 2: that bad that we didn't go out for dinners.
- 26:13Speaker 3: It's not that bad that we couldn't go away.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Do you know what?
- 26:15Speaker 1: I can handle that? I can deal with that because
- 26:18Speaker 1: I just want them back.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 1: And I think my advice to you would be to
- 26:24Speaker 1: remember why you did walk away when you are because.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Your heart broken.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And I absolutely promise you that if it is meant
- 26:31Speaker 1: to be, it will like you will find your way
- 26:34Speaker 1: back to each other. But I don't think that's right now.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I think he needs to go and do that work.
- 26:39Speaker 1: You can't help him with that work.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't hold his hand through that.
- 26:42Speaker 1: He needs to go and do that and realize what
- 26:44Speaker 1: his priorities are in life. And I think you need
- 26:48Speaker 1: to do the same, as hard as it is. Just
- 26:51Speaker 1: really spend some time with your girlfriends, watch Sex and
- 26:55Speaker 1: the City, bridget Jones's diary.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and have some space.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I think absolutely block him for a little bit, because
- 27:03Speaker 1: if you haven't already, I can't remember if she said
- 27:05Speaker 1: she did, I don't think she has. But put as
- 27:09Speaker 1: much distance between the two of you as you can,
- 27:11Speaker 1: because I promise you as well if you if you
- 27:14Speaker 1: don't get back together, you will forget what it was
- 27:17Speaker 1: like to feel like loving him. You'll remember you did.
- 27:20Speaker 1: You'll be like, yeah, no, I did love him, and
- 27:22Speaker 1: that is like.
- 27:23Speaker 2: The time Hue All it's so true. But at least
- 27:27Speaker 2: he didn't break his finger off ingering you. No, No,
- 27:30Speaker 2: there's always an up exactly. That's the lining of the story.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Oh what a journey.
- 27:36Speaker 1: So that is a wrap for our Dating Horror Stories episode.
- 27:41Speaker 1: I just want to send you all big kisses and
- 27:44Speaker 1: cardles to Valentine's Day. Some of those were absolutely fucking
- 27:49Speaker 1: All of those were ten out of ten. But the
- 27:51Speaker 1: giggles thank you.
- 27:53Speaker 2: That was amazing and Happy Valentine's Day, chickies. Yeah, Happy
