Jury Finds Killer Guilty in Fort Wayne Shooting | Fort Wayne News
A jury in Fort Wayne has convicted Cameron Kizer of murder in the fatal July 2023 shooting of 20-year-old Jathen Allen Maxwell, who was shot in the head and hip. Kizer, arrested in April after allegedly posting “head shot” online and admitting to planning the attack at a festival days prior, now faces up to 85 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for October 16th, with prosecutors praising police efforts and offering condolences to Maxwell’s grieving family.
