- 0:01It's Wednesday morning at eight thirty nine, and taking your calls to keep you
- 0:05smiling with the healthy play bits to what's going on? Good morning, Good
- 0:13morning. Are you staying warm out there? Sean? The studio is nice
- 0:19this morning. And one of the things in there we go, you know,
- 0:22when we hang out. Yeah, I know you come come in studio
- 0:24from time to time. We do this face to face and I don't know
- 0:27if you remember. I don't remember the last time you were in. If
- 0:30it was if it was a daylight today, if you've been in on a
- 0:32day like today, it gets oppressively hot in the studio. You're thinking like,
- 0:38I got a dress in layers and starts, but I'm keeping warm.
- 0:42How about you, good man? Dude? Yeah, I was gonna say,
- 0:46you know, it gets overheated in there because of your studley nature.
- 0:49Sean. You got to lower the cool faccent man, bring the heat.
- 0:54I want to talk this morning. Obviously we got a lot to get to
- 0:58but I had a chance to stop in last week at the Fitchburg location in
- 1:02the Healthy Place. I want to talk a little bit about about my experience
- 1:04and just how much I love the folks at the Healthy Place. But first
- 1:08and foremost, one of the things I know that's important is those conversations with
- 1:15a wellness consultant, their expertise and their knowledge, and whether at Fitchburg,
- 1:19West Side of Madison's Sun Prairie or online, there are wellness consultants there to
- 1:23help you. But also a great opportunity this morning to get on the air
- 1:26at six oh eight to three two one thirteen ten. That's six oh eight
- 1:30three two one thirteen ten, get on the air with Tim O'Brien and Tim
- 1:34can kind of give you a little kind of like a demonstration of how they
- 1:37help out at the Healthy Place. Love to get you on the air if
- 1:40you've got a question for Tim six oh eight three two one thirteen ten.
- 1:42That's six oh eight three two one thirteen ten. Mentioned the website find your
- 1:46Healthy Place dot com, three locations west Side of Madison, Fitchburg and Sun
- 1:49Prairie. And Tim, not only do we get folks on the air with
- 1:53great questions and get some great I have a great conversation. You incentivized that
- 1:57call in question, don't you. Yeah? I give you a twenty five
- 2:00five dollars gift card that can be used online or in our stores just as
- 2:02a small thank you for calling in. You know, I love like what
- 2:06you said, Sean. It like demonstrates what our wellness consultants do every day
- 2:08to all of our listeners, and Lord Willing it helps the person calling get
- 2:13you pointed in the right direction. So if you have a question small,
- 2:15medium or large, now is a good time to call in three two one
- 2:17thirteen ten. That's three two one thirteen ten. Get you right on the
- 2:21air with Tim O'Brien from the Healthy Place. Also, if you had a
- 2:24chance to stop in, you want to share your experience. I know we've
- 2:27had some great callers over the years that call in with their experience at the
- 2:31Healthy Place and a little bit about how their their issues were solved and the
- 2:36conversations they had. We'd love to have you share that as well. At
- 2:38six o' eight three two one thirteen ten. That's six o' eight three two
- 2:42one thirteen ten. And previously last week we were having a conversation just about
- 2:46different things going on at the Healthy Place, and I had mentioned to you
- 2:50I had I had sign as situs, a sinus infection, and it was
- 2:53really bad. Like I am not the type of person who generally although it
- 2:59seems I'm getting old older, I'm getting I'm actually getting virus a little sick
- 3:01more often. But I talked to you about it, and you said,
- 3:05I told you. I mentioned that I was taking some medication to help combat
- 3:12that, Yeah, an antibiotic, and and you said, oh, You've
- 3:15got to try Flora Basilica. And I said, we've talked about it on
- 3:19the show, and I said, absolutely, if Tim says that I'm doing
- 3:23it. I stopped out, I picked up a bottle and I'm going to
- 3:29tell you something, Tim, the the the change that and like it was
- 3:34I'm not going to say it was in a second, but literally, within
- 3:38no time, my stomach went from doing doing like Hulu whu twisting. It
- 3:43was not crampy, it was it was not a good feeling. Tim went
- 3:46from that to as soon as I got that Flora Basilica in me, it
- 3:51literally felt like I was I was a new person, Like there was not
- 3:54even a consideration. It was a I mean, it's something. It is.
- 4:01So it's inspiring to me to hear, and testimonies are just my favorite.
- 4:05So thanks thanks for sharing that. It's so after all these years,
- 4:11it still surprises me and catches me like that is so cool. How you
- 4:15can take a supplement and really feel the difference, and what you were going
- 4:19through was not cool. And antibiotics, you know, most people know by
- 4:24now that they sort of are like a nuclear bomb in your gut. They
- 4:27kill all the bad guys, but they also kill all the good guys.
- 4:30So taking a probiotic at the same time not at the exact same time,
- 4:34because then the antibiotic kills the probiotic, which is an interesting point. About
- 4:40two hours after replenishing that healthy gut flora and the prebiotics that are in floria
- 4:46silica or like rain to the rainforest to grow up your natural healthy bacteria.
- 4:50It's like food for your probiotics. And then it has the sacrimices Blardi in
- 4:56there too, which sacro b is profound for that home MoU coast lining and
- 5:00leaky gut issues and replenishing flora and just restoring that environment. But what I
- 5:05was telling you last week too is eighty percent of your immune system is controlled
- 5:11by your gut. So what happens is folks have some sort of infection,
- 5:15some sort of reason to take antibiotics, and they treat or defeat the infection,
- 5:23which is great. I mean, antibiotics save lives at times. The
- 5:27drawback is it levels, it destroys your immune system. So now two three
- 5:33months later, you might get another infection, you might get another illness,
- 5:39another virus, because it's set your system up for defeat because it's killed you're
- 5:44good guys. So if you're not replenishing that, what can happen is is
- 5:47just cycle after cycle after cycle. And my favorite one that's just so common
- 5:51in our stores to point to is babies with ear infections. You know,
- 5:57they go on the antibiotics, their system and immune system is sort of like
- 6:00lowered, and then they get another ear infection three months later and they go
- 6:04through the same cycle antibiotics, and then three months later again, and then
- 6:08finally they're like, shoot, we gotta we gotta tie some tubes for the
- 6:12year drum because or the in the ear for babies, And it's like,
- 6:15if we were to replenish the gut flora when we're taking an antibiotic, it
- 6:20just changes everything. So it's these little truths that I'm so passionate about because
- 6:26most people just don't know those few things. So then they take an anmbiotic
- 6:30and they don't understand why they're in this cycle or why they're more tired,
- 6:33or their their energy, you know, isn't being produced, their rest isn't
- 6:36as restorative. And probiotics, you know, they're in the top three most
- 6:41important supplements you can take. So if if you're listening, you're not taking
- 6:44up probiotic, you know, pro means four, Biotic means life. The
- 6:47more life you can get into your body, the better, and it strengthens
- 6:51things like enzyme productions. And enzymes are like the key that unlocks nutrients from
- 6:57your food. So people don't know when you have, you know, lunch
- 7:00today, you might only absorb about fifty percent of the nutrition in that meal.
- 7:05And so if you can strengthen your gut floor and strengthen your enzyme production,
- 7:10you can break your meals down so much more thoroughly that you might bump
- 7:14that to seventy five percent absorption of the nutrition in that meal and do that
- 7:17three meals a day, you know, times three sixty five. You'll feel
- 7:23it. You'll feel more energy over all, big picture, more mental clarity
- 7:26and focus. You know, they call the gut the second brain because it
- 7:30controls so many actions and reactions in the body. So Flora Basilica's a great
- 7:34one. Great guts, pop into our store, shop online and get a
- 7:39good probiotic. It's that time of the year too, it's pretty amazing.
- 7:42And I mentioned, of course the stuff that was what was recommended to me
- 7:46was that was the Flora Basilica. One of the things too, I've got
- 7:47to mention is wellness. The consultation that took place as well was nothing short
- 7:54of impressive. Is is explaining what it was, when to take it,
- 7:59how much takes, how to store it, because that was something that I
- 8:03that I hadn't thought of, but but was explained like long it's got to
- 8:07because it's seventy eight degrees. I jotted this down stored below and you know,
- 8:13you don't want to get in lighte. I thought, these are like
- 8:15the type of things that really make a difference is there's actually a knowledgeable person,
- 8:20not just you know, looking out for you, knowledgeable about what's going
- 8:24to help you, but also knowledgeable about making sure that whatever supplement you're buying,
- 8:30you understand what it is, how to care for it because you don't
- 8:35want to lose its effectiveness. And having that knowledge then understanding that's something you're
- 8:39not going to find other You're not going to find that anywhere else, you
- 8:43know, dude, that is you strike. You know, that's our greatest
- 8:46value. I think at the Healthy Place is our knowledge and we give that
- 8:48away for free. And that's what we've been doing since twenty ten. I've
- 8:52made much of my life about just understanding the supplement industry. Doesn't make me
- 8:56a doctor pharmacist. We just know which brands are good, which forms of
- 9:01ingredients are good, Like you said, how to store, how to take,
- 9:05when to take, how much to take to really get the impacts that
- 9:07each individual is looking for. You know, we had a meeting yesterday.
- 9:11We every two weeks we have a Wellness Consultant strategy meeting, and the meetings
- 9:16around how can we better communicate to our community, how can we be more
- 9:20inspiring, more encouraging, like how can we truly move the needle on people's
- 9:26health? And I think that's our greatest value is the care for that individual
- 9:31and the knowledge to back up guidance in the supplement industry because you know,
- 9:35we have some of the best doctors and pharmacists and nurses in the surgeons in
- 9:39the world literally in Madison, Wisconsin and with that, you don't have a
- 9:43whole lot of expertise around supplements, so people are sort of not knowing what
- 9:50to do, and the FDA doesn't regulate, so there's a lot of supplements
- 9:52that are no good out there and people don't know how to discern. So
- 9:56when you go to the Healthy Place, you can expect knowledgeable And we call
- 10:01our sales team wellness consultants because we don't do commission, but we do do
- 10:05a lot of consultations that educate people. And that's what our mission statements really
- 10:11all about is impact, empower and educate every customer to learn, grow and
- 10:15create this lifelong foundation of health and wellness. So yeah, if you haven't
- 10:18connected with our wellness consultants, I would just challenge you to do that.
- 10:22Like a small, medium, or large health issue for you or a loved
- 10:26one, pop in the stores, give a phone call if you can't drive
- 10:28out, hit the chat feature on our site if that's more convenient, and
- 10:33just interact, like have some of these basic health issues that you struggle with,
- 10:39just at least know about which supplement can impact you and which can help
- 10:45you and try it. You know, I would inspire you because that's what
- 10:48makes the light bulb go off for people. You know, most of our
- 10:50culture is like fast food, right, and it's like pharmaceutical drugs, like
- 10:54let's treat a symptom and let's just have it be gone, even if it
- 10:58has a side effects and long term issues. And you know when you take
- 11:03a supplement that treats that same symptom, but then it strengthens the body instead
- 11:09of damages the body. It's just something to consider, something to know about.
- 11:13And I challenge you if you're listening, to just check out our stores,
- 11:16whether online or in store, and give us a try, because that's
- 11:20the whole value is if we spark something in your health that moves you in
- 11:24the right direction and now all of a sudden, your quality of life.
- 11:26It's like our vision statement, it's like end human suffering, increased quality of
- 11:31life, Like these things are worth fighting for. It's a game changer too,
- 11:33when you when you go from feeling miserable to later that day feeling fantastic.
- 11:37What an amazing experience, What a great opportunity. That opportunity experience is
- 11:41available to you. Just stop on in today. They'd love to chat with

- 12:54again, wellness consultants available at all three locations as well as online. Also
- 12:58on the way too out is via email Tim at find your Healthy Place dot
- 13:03com. That's Tim tim at find your Healthy Place dot com. And Sam
- 13:07wrote wrote in talking about says this time of year, it's a stress especially
- 13:13stressful for me with work deadlines, looming, family visits to plan, and
- 13:16financial concerns. Even after all that said and done, I find myself feeling
- 13:22incredibly tired. And Sam, brother, I hear you there for sure?
- 13:26What do we got for Sam? Tim Oh? Sam, Yeah, I
- 13:31feel like that's almost the largest segment of our community. Sean. It's like
- 13:35it's like such a strong percentage of people are running a little bit too hard,
- 13:41you know, parenting, business, work, life. The stress is
- 13:46consistent, and that's something I think, you know. I read an article
- 13:50how pre COVID mental health issues were at something like seventeen percent would say,
- 13:56hey, I have some sort of like mental health struggle and post COVID.
- 14:00It's like in the high forty percentile. Now where stress, anxiety, depression,
- 14:05sleep, like these symptoms you know they like mark this period of history,
- 14:11I feel like where most people can identify with that. So in general,
- 14:16you know you want to be aware of your health. I mean,
- 14:18diet's really the most important thing. It's like diet and exercise is so vital.
- 14:22You know, when we're on and we're doing the things we know we
- 14:26need to do, we feel the difference, we feel a benefit. So
- 14:28always want to point kind of back towards that. From a supplement standpoint,
- 14:33I would encourage you to come in our stores, like if that's your story,
- 14:37kind of like Sam, you know there is sure there's three products I'd
- 14:41recommend, and I'll quickly recommend those in a minute. But what is way
- 14:45more powerful than just taking a recommendation that I throw on the air here perk
- 14:50Sam's question is when you come into our stores like this year for us,
- 14:54it's all about like back to our community, like local, like how can
- 14:58we stress, lengthen and move the needle for our health and our industry.
- 15:01So what we love to do when you come in and say you asked a
- 15:05question kind of like Sam, we would then turn back to you. And
- 15:09so if I had Sam in front of me, you know, I'd say,
- 15:11I'd say Sam, like like, okay, so your energy's low,
- 15:15Like is it the same when you get a deep night's sleep. I'd ask
- 15:18you know, how's your digestion? How are you regular? Do you do
- 15:22you experience digestive issues and struggles like you? How's your immune system been this
- 15:28last year? And we asked these series of questions to get a better roadmap,
- 15:33roadmap and picture on how that individual is actually doing, and then we
- 15:37can make supplement recommendations that are more curated for that specific human because there is
- 15:45a variety of approaches you can take for very dramatic and in immediate effects.
- 15:50And so just throwing three recommendations for Sam, you know, just kind of
- 15:54generically is over ninety percent of fatigue is directly related to your glands. So
- 16:00I'd encourage a product called adrenal Boost, and that has your top five adaptogenic
- 16:06herbs, which adaptogens help your body adapt to stress, nourishing, strengthening your
- 16:11adrenal glands, which produces immediate more energy. It's not caffeine, it's naturally
- 16:15occurring energy. It helps recharge mitochondria and you're more alert your immune systems boosted.
- 16:22Product number two is a good quality multivitamin. I love the one by
- 16:26Lively Vitamin CO. It has all your more bioavailable forms of ingredients, simple
- 16:33things like calcium scorebit Vitamin C will absorb four times greater than a scorbic acid
- 16:37vitamin C, so throughout the multivitamin you have these readily absorbable forms that again
- 16:44you feel energy boost the first time you take it. You know, I
- 16:47took my four capsule serving this morning, and I feel it compared to when
- 16:52I don't. It's just very clear. Other people say, hey, I'm
- 16:55only going to take two, that's okay, but a four capsule is packed
- 16:57with a ton of nutrition. I challenge folks, you know, do it
- 17:00that way at least for a week so you can feel that energy boost and
- 17:03you might just decide it's worth popping four capsules in a serving to feel that
- 17:07benefit. And then you notice the stress come down to because of the B
- 17:10complex and sean like most people are deficient in these like vitamins and minerals.
- 17:15They're just deficient. You know, a bowl of salad is half the ingredients
- 17:18it did compared to the nineteen fifties, so we just all have these different
- 17:22nutritional deficiencies. And then product number three I'd bring out is actually you mentioned
- 17:26it earlier, Flora Basilica or Great Guts, like a quality probiotic, because
- 17:32that's like foundational. You know, the first two products I mentioned are sort
- 17:34of like treating issues that are going on in the body, fatigue and deficiencies,
- 17:40where the probiotic is like foundational. You know, you want your immune
- 17:44system strength, and you want your vitamin production, your body's natural vitamin production
- 17:48strength, and like take equality probiotic. I mentioned how you absorb more nutrition
- 17:53from foods when you're taking a quality probiotic. So go to a website check
- 17:59out a couple of those, or pop in our store. Like even better,
- 18:00like I mentioned like coming in asking the question, taking ten ten minutes
- 18:06to chat with our team. You know, we purposely don't do commission because
- 18:08we don't want the community like concerned that we're going to be sold on something
- 18:11for a two dollars commission for some guy and we're recommending that which is truly
- 18:17impactful to your health. So Sam, I hope you're listening. Those few
- 18:19items will really help you out really good question, Sam. You two can
- 18:22be like Sam. Always make contact with Tim send him an email Tim at
- 18:26find your Healthy Place dot com. That's Tim Tim at find your Healthy Place
