- 0:00Speaker 1: What it do. We're back again The Grounded Show, Episode
- 0:04Speaker 1: one sixteen. I'm here with the Boy Joe Fernie.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we back. Were back for the second time, for
- 0:10Speaker 2: the first time, for the second time facts.
- 0:13Speaker 1: So the reason why we back for the second time
- 0:16Speaker 1: is because we actually recorded this episode already with a
- 0:19Speaker 1: new layout and everything. We got everything figured out. Then
- 0:22Speaker 1: we had software issues that destroyed the whole video, so
- 0:26Speaker 1: we switched to another program and now we're back for real.
- 0:29Speaker 1: This time we one hundred percent. Quality is going to
- 0:32Speaker 1: be a one. So even though the last thing was
- 0:35Speaker 1: kind of like a little hiccup in the road, it
- 0:37Speaker 1: definitely ready for this.
- 0:38Speaker 2: We gotta be ready.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And it's funny because we were even kind of talking
- 0:41Speaker 1: about it last time, like, even if it comes out
- 0:44Speaker 1: messed up or whatever, I guess, we showed up. We're
- 0:46Speaker 1: getting it down, we're taking the steps and everything, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: then look what happens.
- 0:49Speaker 2: That's funny. Kind of felt like we jinxed it because
- 0:51Speaker 2: we said it might not even work out, and it kind.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Of did it literally literally, it's crazy, man. The way
- 0:58Speaker 1: that we got to set up now, it's a lot
- 1:02Speaker 1: different than the way we had to set up before
- 1:03Speaker 1: because the other time it was like optimized for over
- 1:07Speaker 1: over the computer, you know, zoom style and everything. So
- 1:10Speaker 1: it's like a whole different vibe. Even so, we even
- 1:12Speaker 1: had to like kind of reconfigure the style of.
- 1:15Speaker 2: The way that we're doing every formats of the show.
- 1:18Speaker 2: In fact, I.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Can't look like a dirty rat anymore. I used to
- 1:20Speaker 1: be in here with just like you know, random little
- 1:23Speaker 1: shirt sometimes with just my boxers, you know what I mean.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So now now it puts the pressure on us to
- 1:29Speaker 1: really really get it in, you know.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a new year. We got a new vision.
- 1:35Speaker 2: As we talked about, Quincy's took a step back from
- 1:38Speaker 2: the show. So Leicester and I we're gonna take the
- 1:42Speaker 2: initiative of changing it up instead of just trying to
- 1:46Speaker 2: fill gaps and just kind of bring something new so
- 1:49Speaker 2: we can kind of just improve our creativity and improve
- 1:53Speaker 2: the just the content, the format of the show and
- 1:55Speaker 2: just improvement is that we're looking for. You know, because
- 1:59Speaker 2: you do something for so long, then you look for
- 2:01Speaker 2: ways to improve in ways you could do it. And
- 2:03Speaker 2: this is part of our stage of improvement right here.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Yeah, facts man, and y'all will definitely be seeing Quincy
- 2:10Speaker 1: again at some point because we're gonna incorporate a new
- 2:14Speaker 1: segment in the next month or two, so definitely be
- 2:17Speaker 1: on the lookout for that. We're gonna be reaching out
- 2:19Speaker 1: to a lot more local people here like in Orlando.
- 2:23Speaker 1: More before we was more just doing, like I said,
- 2:25Speaker 1: the virtual things, So it was just more focused on
- 2:28Speaker 1: anybody that we can kind of get no matter where
- 2:30Speaker 1: they're at. We wasn't putting no pressure on anybody to
- 2:33Speaker 1: pull up for episodes and stuff like that. But now,
- 2:36Speaker 1: like I said, how we're getting at different style. The
- 2:39Speaker 1: content is gonna be a lot more thought out and
- 2:41Speaker 1: more clean, and we're just gonna move into a different
- 2:44Speaker 1: space with the show, keeping up with like the new
- 2:47Speaker 1: vibes of how everything's going, you know what I mean.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So I'm super excited for that. We got a lot
- 2:53Speaker 1: of individual projects coming up this year. You just got
- 2:57Speaker 1: a couple more DJing gigs and yeah to turn up
- 2:59Speaker 1: for you.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's why we're incorporating not just the podcast,
- 3:04Speaker 2: improving the podcast side of it, but our individual creativity sides.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Leicestered with his music and his merch me with trying
- 3:12Speaker 2: to establish some kind of DJ presence in Orlando again,
- 3:16Speaker 2: and incorporating everything we do here all together to make
- 3:19Speaker 2: it like one solid collaborative brand that we can put
- 3:22Speaker 2: together and bring our content for the people. So once
- 3:25Speaker 2: they see one side of this another side of this,
- 3:27Speaker 2: like oh that all kind of follows on the same umbrella.
- 3:30Speaker 2: They know the quality of the content and everything, and
- 3:32Speaker 2: it makes you understand how much work we put into
- 3:34Speaker 2: all of this.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Yeah, man, this is kind of like the twenty twenty
- 3:38Speaker 1: five accountability intro. Yeah. I mean to set in the
- 3:42Speaker 1: stage for what we're going to be doing, and you
- 3:45Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, hopefully our listeners will hold us
- 3:48Speaker 1: to it. Yeah, and hopefully we'll be able to, you know,
- 3:51Speaker 1: bring out what we're thinking of and the different vibes.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Because something that we talked about privately is like last year,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I was focusing on trying to like ingratiate myself more
- 4:00Speaker 1: into the community as far as music and different things.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I did a whole bunch of different little events and stuff,
- 4:06Speaker 1: and you know, was part of a couple of things
- 4:09Speaker 1: that were really dope. But it really opened my eyes
- 4:12Speaker 1: that what I'm doing is kind of different to like,
- 4:16Speaker 1: let's say, the downtown scene, you know what I mean,
- 4:19Speaker 1: especially Orlando. So with this and some of the other
- 4:22Speaker 1: stuff we got planned, we're going to kind of be
- 4:24Speaker 1: able to kind of bring people into our world and
- 4:27Speaker 1: really show them what we're about and what we're bringing
- 4:29Speaker 1: to the table. And it's dope. Man. Like, I feel
- 4:32Speaker 1: like we're also at a point individually and together that
- 4:36Speaker 1: you know, we're sure and what we're doing. We know
- 4:39Speaker 1: that we can pretty much show up anywhere and bring
- 4:42Speaker 1: quality content, get a good conversation out of whoever. Bring
- 4:46Speaker 1: the vibes, you know what I'm saying.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Yeah, if there's people who like don't like doing podcasts
- 4:50Speaker 2: or being in front of the mic and being in
- 4:52Speaker 2: front of the cameraon having certain conversations, We're trying to
- 4:55Speaker 2: show you the style of how we do it and
- 4:57Speaker 2: you can incorporate your brand and come or a different
- 5:00Speaker 2: side of you than what everybody expects you to see
- 5:03Speaker 2: or what people who are usually trying to create with
- 5:05Speaker 2: expect you to see. We're trying to bring a different
- 5:07Speaker 2: side of that and that that's the whole purpose of
- 5:09Speaker 2: our visions and the things that the way we do things.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Yeah, man, that's one thing I really like about certain
- 5:14Speaker 1: podcasts that I'm a big fan of especially like THEO
- 5:17Speaker 1: Vonn's podcast that he'll bring people on and it's like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: if they're an artist, he's not just asking them, Oh,
- 5:22Speaker 1: what's your creative process this is and that It's like
- 5:25Speaker 1: that only could vary so much from artists to artists
- 5:28Speaker 1: unless you got some crazy way of making music. You know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: everybody pretty much approaches it the same way. So I
- 5:34Speaker 1: would rather just kind of see what the artist is
- 5:36Speaker 1: about what, you know, the grounded side of it, you
- 5:39Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, Like music is definitely something that
- 5:42Speaker 1: is an extension of you, but it also even your
- 5:45Speaker 1: habits and music come from your daily habits and stuff.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I see it in artists all the time, you know
- 5:49Speaker 1: what I'm saying. I work with a whole bunch of
- 5:51Speaker 1: different artists and just over the years, and you could
- 5:53Speaker 1: see some people bring into creativity this mentality of like, Yo,
- 6:00Speaker 1: this is a creative thing, So I don't got to
- 6:02Speaker 1: approach it like it's real business.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yep, you know what I mean.
- 6:05Speaker 1: And I think that's where a lot of people mess
- 6:07Speaker 1: up when it comes to creative stuff. It's like, bro,
- 6:09Speaker 1: just because you're in this space doesn't mean you can
- 6:12Speaker 1: come at it half assed.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah, No, that's that's really mean, and that's why I like,
- 6:15Speaker 2: like there's I think two examples. It's like Nardwuar like
- 6:19Speaker 2: he has a certain approach when he interviews artists and
- 6:22Speaker 2: he brings like crazy facts and crazy stories that they
- 6:25Speaker 2: never heard before, and it surprises them. The surprises the
- 6:28Speaker 2: guests like damn, Like this is the conversations you want
- 6:30Speaker 2: to have. And then even on hot ones, like the
- 6:34Speaker 2: conversations he has and like I've seen a thousand episodes
- 6:37Speaker 2: and all the I've seen a thousand people say, oh wow,
- 6:41Speaker 2: you want to talk about that, Like that's the kind
- 6:43Speaker 2: of that that is our angle. That's the conversations. You
- 6:45Speaker 2: want to ask stuff that nobody asks you, that nobody
- 6:48Speaker 2: cares about. We want to make sure we care about
- 6:50Speaker 2: it and the people care about it. Share your story,
- 6:53Speaker 2: share the way you do things, Share who you are
- 6:55Speaker 2: as a personality outside of the artist, because that all
- 6:58Speaker 2: makes sense when you put out a product.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Facts. Man, Yeah, that's definitely a big focus. I'm excited
- 7:03Speaker 1: to get to that point of the journey, y'all seeing
- 7:07Speaker 1: already kind of like the differences in the presentation, the
- 7:09Speaker 1: style of the show. We're definitely gonna keep expanding on that,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and like we said on the episode, that will never
- 7:15Speaker 1: airy is you know, you might not see us in
- 7:18Speaker 1: this setup again next time. You know what I'm saying.
- 7:20Speaker 1: It might be a slightly different setup, might be a
- 7:22Speaker 1: different place, it might be a different vibe. We're always
- 7:28Speaker 1: gonna be evolving with it, just like life, bro, Like
- 7:30Speaker 1: you never stop evolving, you never stop creating, you never
- 7:33Speaker 1: stop getting better. You're gonna see the iterations like how
- 7:37Speaker 1: y'all have seen the iterations of the podcast before, you
- 7:40Speaker 1: know what I mean. So I'm not gonna linger too
- 7:43Speaker 1: much with this. Hope y'all enjoyed the show. We got
- 7:47Speaker 1: a couple more segments coming up. We're gonna start breaking
- 7:49Speaker 1: everything down even putting it in the feed in a
- 7:52Speaker 1: way that people could kind of just pick and choose
- 7:53Speaker 1: what they want to listen to. They don't have to
- 7:55Speaker 1: kind of listen to the whole show and hear us
- 7:57Speaker 1: run through different topics and stuff. We'll have the segments
- 8:00Speaker 1: of you know, different times and you know, very concise.
- 8:05Speaker 1: You know, the intro might be ten to fifteen minutes,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you know, twenty minutes, just depends on how much we're
- 8:11Speaker 1: going in on the subject and how interesting it is,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but it at least give people the opportunity to say, oh,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know, I might not want to listen for thirty
- 8:18Speaker 1: forty minutes, but I'll listen to them talk about this topic.
- 8:21Speaker 2: One thing. One thing we're doing is we're making the
- 8:24Speaker 2: viewing more user friendly. Yeah, it's not just for you
- 8:27Speaker 2: to listen to everything we say and suffer through stuff
- 8:31Speaker 2: you don't want to hear. We're going to make it
- 8:32Speaker 2: easier for you guys to listen to us and kind
- 8:35Speaker 2: of just zone into the specific parts you want to hear.
- 8:39Speaker 2: That's a major part of what we're planning to do
- 8:41Speaker 2: with our YouTube channel. With Instagram and TikTok, you're just
- 8:45Speaker 2: going to see what you see. But with the YouTube channel,
- 8:47Speaker 2: it's really going to give you wide variety of all
- 8:49Speaker 2: all the kind of aspects and topics and segments we're
- 8:52Speaker 2: going to put together, and it's going to give you
- 8:54Speaker 2: that choice to watch exactly what you're interested in.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah, if y'all can imagine it, the episodes now are
- 8:59Speaker 1: going to kind of be like a play. It's gonna
- 9:01Speaker 1: be like maybe four or five segments that we upload.
- 9:04Speaker 1: They're all gonna be tied to that same episode and
- 9:06Speaker 1: It's gonna be one episode, but it'll be broken down
- 9:09Speaker 1: in a segment, so, like I said, you could listen
- 9:11Speaker 1: to whichever one you want to listen to. You'll still
- 9:13Speaker 1: see the clips. The clips will be a lot nicer now, obviously,
- 9:16Speaker 1: with the way we got everything set up. So I'm
- 9:18Speaker 1: super excited. Man. I hope y'all stay tapped in and
- 9:21Speaker 1: tuned in to what we got coming in store. And
- 9:24Speaker 1: for those new people coming along, the new people that
- 9:26Speaker 1: will be coming along, you're gonna learn how to stay
- 9:29Speaker 1: better
- 9:29Speaker 2: Man Year twenty twenty five,
