- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Hi there.
- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Welcome to our show home.
- 0:01SPEAKER_03: Come on in.
- 0:02SPEAKER_03: Take a look around.
- 0:03SPEAKER_03: Whoa.
- 0:04SPEAKER_02: Look at this floor plan.
- 0:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's an open
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: concept.
- 0:08SPEAKER_02: And this granite countertop.
- 0:10SPEAKER_02: Magnificent.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: At Calbridge Homes, we actually...
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: Is this interior finishing for real?
- 0:14SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, it's actually inspired by...
- 0:16SPEAKER_03: Shh.
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: Just...
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: Shh.
- 0:19SPEAKER_02: Okay, then.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Our salespeople make every effort, but a Calbridge home speaks for itself.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Visit one of our 15 show homes in Calgary or Cochrane, or visit calbridgehomes.com.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: Well,
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: hello, divas.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the Divas That Care Network.
- 0:38SPEAKER_01: My name is Candice Gesch, and we are so excited to welcome you all back.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I've got an extremely great show today.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: A lot of ladies were passing it on, and we wanted to have her back on because she's got a new program that's going to be taking place, and we wanted to share it with all of you so you would be able to get on board and she could work with you.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: So, Winnie, welcome back to the show.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited to have you.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Thank you for having me back.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Well, it's always my pleasure.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: And, you know, you always have so much, so many, I should say, so many amazing tips for all of our divas out there and, you know, what they can use with their families.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: And, you know, when you were telling me about this program, I thought we need to get you back on.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: We need to have you share it with all of our listeners because I think they're really going to love it.
- 1:46SPEAKER_04: I believe they're going to love it too, especially for all of those that have kids, right?
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And, you know, for any of our listeners that you guys know that I've got four of my own divas.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: So, you know, Winnie has been, I would say, a godsend for myself and my family and the things that we're doing with her.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: And, you know, that's why I really wanted you guys to get to know her.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: But for any of you that haven't tuned into one of Winnie's calls yet, Winnie, could you take a few minutes to share a little bit about yourself?
- 2:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, absolutely.
- 2:17SPEAKER_04: So again, I'm Winnie and I hail from Alberta, Canada region.
- 2:25SPEAKER_04: And one of the things that brings me on the call today is just my pure excitement of being able to share the discovery that I came across really in this past year with my own daughter.
- 2:37SPEAKER_04: And that is the the cash flow management training that I have been, well, coaching that I've really been doing since she was age four, really didn't, like, I really didn't know for sure.
- 2:51SPEAKER_04: Like, I knew I was instilling some really good habits, but you don't really know how good it's going to be or what it's going to be like until they move out, right?
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: So it's been over a year since my daughter has moved out on her own.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: And You know, I was really watching and observing what it was going to be like, you know, for her as it relates to money as she moves out.
- 3:15SPEAKER_04: And you know what?
- 3:16SPEAKER_04: I was like, oh, you know, I don't want to sound really braggy, but it was like one of those moments where it's like, yes, I did.
- 3:24SPEAKER_04: Like, I did a good job here.
- 3:25SPEAKER_04: I didn't screw up in this area.
- 3:28SPEAKER_04: You know, so that was one of the...
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and so with that, you know, I...
- 3:36SPEAKER_04: I had always, I have, you know, during her school years, I've volunteered at her school for coaching while having money club for kids.
- 3:45SPEAKER_04: And I coached different age groups for, you know, helping them to, you know, how to think about money and how to manage a part of their money.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: However, one of the things that I really discovered is that, you know, it's better if the parents actually just coach the kids rather than leave it to the school system in actuality.
- 4:06SPEAKER_04: Because in a way, I had the ability to step into these classrooms and coach these kids on a weekly basis.
- 4:14SPEAKER_04: I mean, it's not every day, but I think more than anything else because there's lots of things that happen at home or when you go out shopping with your kids that, you know, we're the ones that see...
- 4:24SPEAKER_04: we're the ones that have actually the best coaching opportunities to help redirect a lot of their thinking when it comes to money.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Well, you have this great program that you've just started.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: And let's talk a little bit about that because I think we need to really dive into it because our shows are only 20 minutes.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Let's just really dive into it and see what we can all learn from Winnie today.
- 4:50SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 4:54SPEAKER_04: Okay, so do you want to help me out?
- 4:59SPEAKER_04: I get a little bit lost in terms of should I talk about the story or should I talk about the program now?
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, honestly, I think for any of you that are, this is probably the second time most of the ladies are going to be listening to you.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: I want to dive right into this program that you're going to be doing.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: I know that it's a very intense program, and I think we need to all learn about that.
- 5:20SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 5:21SPEAKER_04: Well, I have a four-week beta program that's happening.
- 5:26SPEAKER_04: Right now, I'm accepting 30 families.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: The deadline is going to be October the 15th.
- 5:33SPEAKER_04: And the intention behind it is going to be within over a four-week period, Tuesday nights, online, between 7 and 8.30 Mountain Standard Time.
- 5:48SPEAKER_04: And those four weeks in a row are designed to get you set up to set up your kids for cash flow management habits every single month.
- 6:00SPEAKER_04: So that's the high-level overview of that.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: And, Winnie, what type of a family are you accepting, and where can they be from?
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: They can be
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: anywhere– well– Anywhere within North America, for sure.
- 6:18SPEAKER_04: But it's by webinar, so it's really not bound.
- 6:22SPEAKER_04: Really, there's no boundaries when it comes to the Internet, really.
- 6:25SPEAKER_04: Not in North America that I know of, anyway.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: No, and this is great because for some of our listeners that are in the United States, you know, because we do have our listeners in U.S.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: and Canada, I think that this would be fantastic.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: You know, it doesn't matter where you're from, and to be a part of a program like this would be fabulous.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: It is a beta program.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: So explain to our listeners, Winnie, what a beta program is.
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: A beta program, you know...
- 6:53SPEAKER_04: I have like a set system in place.
- 6:55SPEAKER_04: I'm still in the process of refining all the details and the beta is really like, it's a great opportunity for parents to, especially if you love giving feedback and you don't mind like, you know, helping to be a part of like a first part of an initial, like an initial launch of a program.
- 7:14SPEAKER_04: And so that means it's ideal for both me and for the families participating because they basically get a lot of value for a cheaper price.
- 7:26SPEAKER_04: So it's$50 for four weeks.
- 7:27SPEAKER_04: And I tell you, the information is priceless.
- 7:32SPEAKER_04: And yet I'm offering it for 50 bucks for the first beta program ever.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: So I'm really super excited.
- 7:39SPEAKER_04: And to add to your question, to add to the answer of what kind of families that I'm looking for, it's just families who are parents or parent who is committed to to the idea and the implementation of setting up their kids to have solid financial habits so that when they go out on their own, they're a lot more confident and you can prevent your child from moving in at age 40 or borrowing lots of money from you throughout your life.
- 8:16SPEAKER_04: I guess the other piece that might be very attractive is for those that really share the same value system as I do around money, which is to really teach your kid that you're not the source of their money.
- 8:30SPEAKER_04: Parents are not the source of kids' money.
- 8:32SPEAKER_04: They're really not.
- 8:33SPEAKER_04: And it's important to really allow them to see that they have choices around money.
- 8:41SPEAKER_04: And the sooner that they can coach themselves Through the decision-making process with every single purchase, it just makes them more and more and more and more confident around money.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: I just want to talk to our listeners right now because for somebody who's had the opportunity to have Winnie meet my children and talk to her just once.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: They met Winnie the one time.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: And Winnie installed in them that desire just that one time.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: And now all four of my girls are involved in the process.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: They all have figured out a system that works, and we've used what Winnie has taught them, and they're running with it.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: It is amazing the conversations that we've had since then.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: I've been waiting since you came here.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: And, you know, for anybody that knows my girls, I have a 9-year-old, a 12, 13, and a 15-year-old.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: And, oh, my goodness, all of them are doing it.
- 9:43SPEAKER_01: And it was just the greatest thing that I think I could have– gift I could have given my children because now it's like, wow, they get it.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: They understand.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: So all the years that I had talked about it, you're just coming in and telling them.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: I get it now.
- 9:56SPEAKER_04: Sometimes it does take an outside person
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: a little bit.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:00SPEAKER_04: Oh, it's not the truth.
- 10:04SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:04SPEAKER_04: And what's nice is that there's going to be infusions.
- 10:07SPEAKER_04: I can't promise.
- 10:08SPEAKER_04: My daughter works on those nights that the webinars are being held.
- 10:12SPEAKER_04: However, she's agreed to, you know, do some preliminary pre-recording for me so that, you know, you can...
- 10:20SPEAKER_04: basically hear about her experience right from her mouth and it's very encouraging for parents to hear you know what it what it could be like you know like what it's like for her having been raised on these principles and um yeah it's just it's heartwarming it's so so so heartwarming
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Well, and I recommend for any of the listeners today, you know, definitely check this out because it could really change things for you and your family, even just opening up the conversations.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Because I know as a parent, it is a difficult thing to talk to your children about money and finances.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: And I know that growing up, it was not something that we discussed at the dinner table.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: And even though...
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: I think maybe we should have, but it was just not something we talked about.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: But nowadays, it's like, okay, I want them to be more money savvy, more money aware, and definitely they're starting on the right path.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: I'm very excited for that.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: I want to thank you for being a part of that journey with me and my family.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: This program is going to be starting pretty soon here.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: Let's talk about how the listeners today can and get a hold of you.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: They can learn a little bit more and sign up.
- 11:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah, absolutely.
- 11:45SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure how it's going to be posted, but if you want to take a pen out really quick, it's bit.ly, so that's bit.ly forward slash cash smarts.
- 11:59SPEAKER_04: That's with an S on the end of the smarts.
- 12:01SPEAKER_04: And the C is capital and the S is capital.
- 12:05SPEAKER_04: So bit.ly forward slash cash smarts.
- 12:10SPEAKER_04: And that's a way that you can reach me or at least take a look at more information in regards to this program.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: And I will be posting it all on our social media, too, for all of our listeners.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: We do have our newsletter that goes out weekly now, and it will be posted in our newsletter, but it will be actually on our website.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: So for any of you that did not catch that, it's going to be at divasthatcare.com, and I will have all those links available for you guys.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, my goodness, Whitney, this is great.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: Let's share some other stuff with our listeners today.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: We've got this program going on.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: Is there...
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: You know, because this is our second show that we've done together, is there some other things that perhaps for any of our new listeners that are just tuning in, just things that you'd like to share with them
- 12:56SPEAKER_04: today?
- 12:59SPEAKER_04: Yes, what's coming to mind for me right in this moment is sometimes, you know, as parents, if we feel like we haven't grown up with this information, the thought, the internal thought of, you know, I'm not really that great with money.
- 13:13SPEAKER_04: Who am I?
- 13:15SPEAKER_04: to teach my kids about this.
- 13:17SPEAKER_04: I don't want to pass off my bad habits or something.
- 13:20SPEAKER_04: And just in case you're thinking that, I didn't understand cash flow when I started coaching my daughter at age four.
- 13:31SPEAKER_04: And with the system that I'll be sharing in my beta program, when I started practicing and implementing this new system for my own daughter, What I recognized was that it was improving my own understanding and my own relationship to money as a result of it as well.
- 13:52SPEAKER_04: And we can also appreciate in the momentum builds, like for me, for me anyways, the momentum and the desire to keep making sure this was a habit.
- 14:03SPEAKER_04: It wasn't perfect.
- 14:03SPEAKER_04: Sometimes I missed a month, but I...
- 14:06SPEAKER_04: I did it as much and often as I can.
- 14:09SPEAKER_04: And it actually, my own momentum built only because when you start teaching this to your own child, you can actually teach from a place of mistake.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: And you also really begin to recognize, wow, there is actually so much.
- 14:23SPEAKER_04: Your relationship with money is lifelong, but there is actually so much to solid financial foundation.
- 14:29SPEAKER_04: And for me, I was just like, man, I better start getting this into her now because we all know how fast money kids grow up right and so um yeah so don't i would say that you know if you if your relationship with money doesn't feel great this is the best opportunity ever and this can only bring you and your kids closer i will tell you that you know i thought as soon as my daughter moved out oh you know i was really concerned about her not getting hold of me or not wanting to talk to me And she was actually chasing me down because initially when, you know, the first six months of moving out and earning a paycheck.
- 15:08SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 15:08SPEAKER_04: She just she was actually, yeah, making sure it's like, hey, I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.
- 15:12SPEAKER_04: I want to make sure that I'm managing my cash flow properly because there's different things that happen outside of the home.
- 15:18SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 15:18SPEAKER_04: Like there's no there's not necessarily preauthorized payments.
- 15:21SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 15:23SPEAKER_04: You have to, you know, exactly.
- 15:28UNKNOWN: Mm hmm.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: So, yeah, it's a wonderful program and just on so many different levels.
- 15:35SPEAKER_04: And I can't even say enough.
- 15:36SPEAKER_04: It's a really in-depth, really rich way of engaging with your child or children.
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: Oh, Winnie, I love it.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: It's a hard thing, you know, and I'll be honest with you guys.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: It was a hard...
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: It was hard for me to have Winnie come out here and go through this system because, you know, you think, okay, as a parent, do I want somebody else to know what I'm not– I was feeling incompetent about.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: I think that just to let that go and say, you know what, no, I need to have– myself because i needed to learn too and i think that was the greatest thing when he it wasn't just them that was learning this program it was myself and the excitement i had and that from there i was starting to share with others and and i thought wow you know if if i can learn this my kids can learn this i'm like what a great program that others could use too and it will it'll help simplify things and help them on and their journey for you know hopefully financial freedom
- 16:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, great for the short-term, mid-term, long-term.
- 16:43SPEAKER_04: Thank you so much for sharing that.
- 16:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I hear you.
- 16:47SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
- 16:48SPEAKER_04: And what's wonderful about this is that you get to be a part of a more positive chain of events that can happen for generations to come, like grandchildren you haven't even met yet, hopefully.
- 17:03SPEAKER_04: They decide to have kids, right?
- 17:06SPEAKER_04: So,
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: yeah, yeah.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: And, you know, as I said, listeners, I am going to be posting all about this, and you definitely want to check her out here.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: Winnie, you know, I know that your time is precious and everything is going on.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: Is there any last-minute things, anything that you'd love to share with our amazing divas today?
- 17:27SPEAKER_04: You know, this is– oh.
- 17:33SPEAKER_04: It's probably just a small, tiny logistic.
- 17:35SPEAKER_04: It's like for any of our American friends down south, this is in Canadian dollars.
- 17:41SPEAKER_04: So, just saying.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: It's a really good deal for you guys.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Which is a deal.
- 17:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:47SPEAKER_04: So, yeah, I'm accepting 30 families.
- 17:50SPEAKER_04: And, you know, I'm just excited to be a part of...
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: you know this journey for for the families that are accepted and um you know this is a great passion of mine and i just really know how much it's going to um ultimately bring joy and and at the same time this does i don't want to just manual it's not all like roses and and you know joy joy dance or anything like that because there are moments where you know you Your patience is required.
- 18:27SPEAKER_04: There's no doubt.
- 18:28SPEAKER_04: There's definitely times when you're explaining the program near the beginning where patience is required.
- 18:34SPEAKER_04: I also know that with the system that I have in place, it's really going to be, I've made it as easy as I can for all of you.
- 18:43SPEAKER_04: So keep that in mind as well.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Awesome, Winnie.
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: Well, thank you so much for coming on to the show today and sharing with us what is happening in your life and about this amazing new program.
- 18:55SPEAKER_01: Winnie, we just love having you on here.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: I hope that you come back on again and share some more about some of your other programs that I know that you have in the works and the things that you're going to be doing.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: My goodness, thank you to all of our listeners.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: We appreciate all of you amazing divas out there, you change makers, the people that are doing so much.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: Again, you need to check out this program.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: I know that for myself and my family, we've just started it.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: I really enjoy it.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: And it's really been an eye-opener and a conversation starter in our family.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: So, Winnie, I thank you for that and for being our guest today and sharing your fantastic program with all of our listeners.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Well, cheers, Candice.
- 19:44SPEAKER_04: And here's to being cash smart for life.
- 19:49SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: And make sure all of you amazing listeners today check out our website at divasatcare.com.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: As I said, this show will be on there.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: We record all of our shows.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: We also have a lot of brand-new hosts on the Divas at Care Network, and we want you to check them out and listen to all their shows.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: So until next time, ladies, make sure that you do something kind for somebody else.
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: Take care.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: Bye-bye.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: We'll be right back.
