- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkgirl Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawkgirl energy you want to attract. On Monday, I
- 0:28Speaker 1: took honestly the day off, but I didn't really have
- 0:30Speaker 1: the day off because Zach and I have been packing
- 0:33Speaker 1: up the house all weekend and getting ready to move
- 0:36Speaker 1: out of our current house, which is so crazy, guys.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I can't believe we're officially at the moving month and
- 0:43Speaker 1: we're finally packing up the house and yeah, just moving
- 0:47Speaker 1: on to the next which is such a bittersweet feeling.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I think it's going to be really sad the day
- 0:52Speaker 1: I see this house empty, and like, that's when it's
- 0:55Speaker 1: going to really hit me. I think it's just like,
- 0:57Speaker 1: think of thinking of all the memories that we've had,
- 1:00Speaker 1: you know, just these past few years of living here.
- 1:03Speaker 2: It's gonna be really hard to leave.
- 1:05Speaker 1: But anyways, I literally spent the entire weekend packing, So
- 1:09Speaker 1: that is the reality for the next little bit. I'm
- 1:12Speaker 1: gonna try my best to make the podcast a priority
- 1:15Speaker 1: when I can. I definitely think there'll be an episode
- 1:17Speaker 1: up next week, but the following week, the day of
- 1:20Speaker 1: the podcast is actually the day we move out of
- 1:22Speaker 1: our house, Like it's the exact same day, so I
- 1:25Speaker 1: highly doubt I'll have time to record beforehand, So I
- 1:29Speaker 1: don't think there'll be an episode up the following week,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and then hopefully you'll have one up when I'm staying
- 1:34Speaker 1: at my parents' place for the week until we transition
- 1:38Speaker 1: into our new house.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I'm staying at my parents for.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I think ten or twelve days before we move into
- 1:43Speaker 1: the new house. So yeah, it'll be kind of fun
- 1:46Speaker 1: to live back at my parents' place for a bit
- 1:49Speaker 1: and spend time with my family. But yeah, that's kind
- 1:53Speaker 1: of like a little update of what's been going on.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I just feel like it's been a really busy month.
- 1:57Speaker 1: There's a lot going on and and I'm really excited
- 2:01Speaker 1: to share this next chapter with you guys, So make
- 2:04Speaker 1: sure to stay tuned on my Instagram, my TikTok, on
- 2:07Speaker 1: my YouTube. A lot of moving content coming. I filmed
- 2:10Speaker 1: a log this weekend of like starting to pack up,
- 2:12Speaker 1: starting to do a bit more furniture shopping, just kind
- 2:15Speaker 1: of again preparing for the move outs, and then I
- 2:18Speaker 1: will be making a whole like move out series of
- 2:21Speaker 1: just like guiding everything from like what we do in
- 2:25Speaker 1: the new house, how we furnish the new house, how
- 2:28Speaker 1: we're you know, moving from this house to the new house,
- 2:30Speaker 1: like every step I will be recording and documenting.
- 2:33Speaker 2: The entire experience.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So if you love Home to Court as much as
- 2:36Speaker 1: I do, definitely make sure to follow along. I love
- 2:39Speaker 1: that type of content to watch, so I'm sure it
- 2:42Speaker 1: will be fun to document the entire process. I am
- 2:45Speaker 1: coming down with a cold, so if you feel like
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm taking random breaks, I'm gonna try my best to
- 2:51Speaker 1: obviously cut these parts out when I'm like coughing along
- 2:54Speaker 1: up or.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Just feeling congested.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't remember the last time I
- 2:59Speaker 1: got sick in the summer. I feel like this is
- 3:01Speaker 1: such a random cold that just hit me out of nowhere.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I feel like I got it for my sister.
- 3:06Speaker 1: I don't know why she's the one that's going out,
- 3:08Speaker 1: not me, so I don't know how I got sick.
- 3:09Speaker 2: But anyways, all good.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But just wanted to warn you that my voice is
- 3:15Speaker 1: like not one hundred percent right now, and I don't
- 3:16Speaker 1: feel one hundred percent either, but I'm still showing up
- 3:19Speaker 1: and recording, which is all that matters. In today's episode,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I really wanted to film an episode about being obsessed
- 3:25Speaker 1: with your life, So how to become obsessed with your life,
- 3:28Speaker 1: love what you've done with your life.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I want you to wake up.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Every single morning actually excited for your life at the
- 3:35Speaker 1: end of the day. I think we always try and
- 3:37Speaker 1: provide positive things on this podcast. You know, there's always
- 3:41Speaker 1: ways that we can, you know, shift our mindset to
- 3:44Speaker 1: become more positive and just being a more positive person.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And I really wanted to make this episode about just
- 3:49Speaker 1: making yourself feel like you're living the life that you've
- 3:52Speaker 1: always dreamed for yourself. Like, we all have a specific
- 3:55Speaker 1: vision for ourselves of what we try to strive for,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and so I really want to just like create this
- 4:01Speaker 1: episode for you guys to reflect on when you're feeling
- 4:03Speaker 1: like you've kind of lost the spark a bit, or
- 4:06Speaker 1: you're feeling in a rut with your life and you
- 4:08Speaker 1: don't know how to like regain that spark back. This
- 4:11Speaker 1: is how we're gonna get that spark back. We're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 1: follow these steps, We're gonna do these things because I
- 4:16Speaker 1: feel like these things are what makes you realize how
- 4:19Speaker 1: grateful you are for your life and that the little
- 4:22Speaker 1: things truly matter and they make you feel more excited
- 4:25Speaker 1: and more happy to live your own life. So let's
- 4:28Speaker 1: get into this episode. We have I think fifteen things
- 4:31Speaker 1: that we're gonna chat about, and these are fifteen things
- 4:34Speaker 1: that I personally think are worth chatting about and how
- 4:38Speaker 1: I personally find I wake up every single morning and
- 4:41Speaker 1: I feel like I'm obsessed with my life because I
- 4:43Speaker 1: do these little things, and I find it makes a
- 4:46Speaker 1: huge difference in how I feel about myself. Okay, so
- 4:48Speaker 1: the first one is become the main character of your
- 4:51Speaker 1: own life. So imagine you're writing a story about yourself
- 4:55Speaker 1: and you've envisioned yourself, you know, becoming this woman that
- 4:58Speaker 1: you've always wanted to become. I think, I think when
- 5:00Speaker 1: you think of writing a book, I think of, you know,
- 5:03Speaker 1: envisioning myself on how.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I see my Pinterest boards.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So I always talk about that with you guys, about
- 5:08Speaker 1: how Pinterest is truly the one spot where I really
- 5:11Speaker 1: see some inspiration for myself. And I feel like we
- 5:14Speaker 1: all envision a specific way of life for ourselves, whether
- 5:18Speaker 1: it's the way we dress, the things that we do,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the job that we have, Like you envision this girl
- 5:24Speaker 1: that you dream to become. And I feel like I'm
- 5:27Speaker 1: a visual person, so I don't like to write about
- 5:30Speaker 1: my life. There is some people that like to, you know,
- 5:32Speaker 1: use their journal and write out things that they strive
- 5:34Speaker 1: to do for themselves. Or there's people like me where
- 5:37Speaker 1: they're more of a visual person where they go on
- 5:39Speaker 1: Pinterest and they save images and they have this like
- 5:42Speaker 1: goal that they want to achieve for themselves or a dream,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and so visually, I feel like I save a lot
- 5:47Speaker 1: of things for inspiration of how I envision the girl that.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I want to become.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Right, So I think you need to go back to
- 5:56Speaker 1: that and realize, like, Okay, who is this girl that
- 5:58Speaker 1: I want to become? Is the girl that is dressing
- 6:01Speaker 1: really aesthetic? Is it the girl that really wants to
- 6:03Speaker 1: live a healthier lifestyle and have you know, a really
- 6:06Speaker 1: balanced life?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Like what is it? Right? So, I think it's.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Super important to always be on top of writing your
- 6:13Speaker 1: story and constantly finding inspiration through images you save or
- 6:17Speaker 1: you know, ways to like journal and document and write
- 6:20Speaker 1: out how you envision yourself to be around being that
- 6:24Speaker 1: main character in your life. Another tip is creating yourself
- 6:27Speaker 1: a signature morning. So we talk about morning routines all
- 6:29Speaker 1: the time here, but I think the point is is
- 6:32Speaker 1: that everybody's going to have a different type of definition
- 6:35Speaker 1: of how they describe their morning routine as so it's
- 6:38Speaker 1: like you're other gonna be the girl that wants to
- 6:40Speaker 1: live that soft girl lifestyle where it's like, you want
- 6:43Speaker 1: to wake up later in the morning, you want to
- 6:45Speaker 1: make yourself a cup of coffee, you want to light
- 6:47Speaker 1: a candle, you want to sit in your living room
- 6:49Speaker 1: reading a book with the fireplace on. That's how you
- 6:52Speaker 1: want to start your day before you start your workday
- 6:54Speaker 1: every single morning. Or you're the kind of girl that
- 6:56Speaker 1: wants to wake up early, book of her favorite workout class,
- 6:59Speaker 1: get smoothie after the class, or pick up a coffee,
- 7:02Speaker 1: come home journal, maybe go on a walk. Like a
- 7:06Speaker 1: very different vibe, but again something that someone strives to
- 7:09Speaker 1: do before they start their workday. Both mornings are perfect
- 7:13Speaker 1: in my opinion. It just really depends on how you
- 7:15Speaker 1: envision your mourning to be. And I think these two
- 7:19Speaker 1: different mornings, it doesn't matter what morning routine you decide
- 7:22Speaker 1: to pick at the end of the day. It creates
- 7:24Speaker 1: a signature for yourself and how you want your daily
- 7:27Speaker 1: mornings to look like. And I think if you're actually
- 7:30Speaker 1: consistent with doing that every single day, it becomes easier
- 7:33Speaker 1: to stick to your routine and easier for you to
- 7:36Speaker 1: do that every single morning and feel good about the
- 7:39Speaker 1: type of life that you've created for yourself. So I
- 7:41Speaker 1: think it's all about figuring out, Okay, what is your
- 7:43Speaker 1: signature and morning, how are you going to describe it?
- 7:46Speaker 1: And of course all the different seasons that you go through,
- 7:49Speaker 1: you might adjust it. Right.
- 7:50Speaker 2: We've talked about it so many times.
- 7:51Speaker 1: When you're in the summer, there's a totally different morning routine,
- 7:54Speaker 1: you know in the summer versus the winter, or you know,
- 7:56Speaker 1: going into fall, how do you envision your fall? Do
- 7:59Speaker 1: you envision to be more cozy? I feel like for me,
- 8:02Speaker 1: in the fall season, I'm lighting way more candles. I
- 8:04Speaker 1: feel like I'm sitting on my couch more with the
- 8:06Speaker 1: fireplace on, watching my favorite like fall TV show like
- 8:09Speaker 1: Gilmore Girls or Vampire Diaries, Like I feel like it's
- 8:12Speaker 1: definitely a different vibe in the fall than it is
- 8:15Speaker 1: in the summer for me, or again the winter, so
- 8:18Speaker 1: seasons kind of reflect your morning routine too, which I
- 8:20Speaker 1: think is good to always change it up a little bit,
- 8:23Speaker 1: but always still sticking to the basics of like how
- 8:26Speaker 1: you want your signature morning to be. So find a
- 8:30Speaker 1: morning routine that you truly love, because I do think
- 8:32Speaker 1: that makes the joy of you waking up every single
- 8:35Speaker 1: morning and doing your morning routine. I think people who
- 8:39Speaker 1: enjoy their mornings it reflects and I think it shows
- 8:42Speaker 1: how much happiness you have enjoy you have because you've
- 8:45Speaker 1: actually put the effort on yourself and doing these little
- 8:48Speaker 1: things that make you feel good going into your day.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And I always say that I feel like your mornings
- 8:53Speaker 1: is truly one of the most important parts of the
- 8:55Speaker 1: day because again it's the start to your day, and
- 8:58Speaker 1: it kind of reflects how you think your day is
- 9:00Speaker 1: going to go right, Like having a good start to
- 9:03Speaker 1: the day makes you feel more excited going into the day.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So that's kind of like the mindset I usually have.
- 9:08Speaker 1: So I do think the mornings are crucial and it's
- 9:11Speaker 1: important to like have a routine for yourself that you're
- 9:14Speaker 1: going to stick to.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Another thing is clothing.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I think clothing plays such an important role in how
- 9:21Speaker 1: you feel in terms.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Of competence and just I don't know, like.
- 9:25Speaker 1: How you see yourself as a woman, right, So, I
- 9:28Speaker 1: think we always go through different transitions of different types
- 9:31Speaker 1: of styles, and I think it's really really hard to
- 9:34Speaker 1: find a personal style.
- 9:36Speaker 2: I feel like there is a point in your life.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Where you don't really know if you're dressing for yourself,
- 9:40Speaker 1: or if you're dressing for the male gaze, or if
- 9:43Speaker 1: you're just wearing what your friends are wearing. Right, feel
- 9:45Speaker 1: like you don't really realize your style until you're in
- 9:48Speaker 1: your twenties. I feel like that's one period of time
- 9:50Speaker 1: where you actually figure out what you like and what
- 9:52Speaker 1: you feel the most competent in. And I feel like
- 9:55Speaker 1: leaning into your personal style can always like really determine
- 10:00Speaker 1: how you feel about yourself, you know what I mean? Like,
- 10:02Speaker 1: I feel like if you're wearing things just to please
- 10:05Speaker 1: other people, like, you're not gonna feel confident in yourself.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You're gonna feel awkward with what you're wearing and like
- 10:09Speaker 1: you're doing it because of the trends or whatever. Right, Like,
- 10:12Speaker 1: you want to wear what you actually feel comfortable in,
- 10:15Speaker 1: what you actually feel confident in, And I think that's
- 10:17Speaker 1: such an important part again to loving your life, because
- 10:20Speaker 1: if you're dressing not for yourself, like again, you're just
- 10:24Speaker 1: doing it to make other people happy and not pleasing yourself.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So definitely figuring out your personal style I think is huge,
- 10:30Speaker 1: and wearing things that actually make you feel confident. Again,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it's all about yourself and loving yourself in order to
- 10:36Speaker 1: love the life and be obsessed with the life that
- 10:38Speaker 1: you have. Another thing is romanticizing the little things, whether
- 10:42Speaker 1: it's putting on a cute pair of pajamas or you know,
- 10:46Speaker 1: making your favorite coffee at home, or washing your bed
- 10:49Speaker 1: sheets or picking up fresh flowers to put on your table, Like,
- 10:53Speaker 1: truly romanticize all those little things that you do, because
- 10:56Speaker 1: I feel like you don't realize those little.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Things mean so much to you.
- 11:00Speaker 1: And I think, like I feel like life has been
- 11:03Speaker 1: on such a repeat lately.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I feel like I'm like really.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Eager for a change, and I think because I know
- 11:09Speaker 1: what change is coming, I'm like getting excited about like
- 11:13Speaker 1: those little things being in a new environment. I feel
- 11:15Speaker 1: like that's been a great excitement for me. But I
- 11:17Speaker 1: think at the end of the day, it's like it
- 11:19Speaker 1: doesn't matter the space that you're in I think if
- 11:21Speaker 1: you still do those things, you feel good about yourself.
- 11:24Speaker 1: So I don't know, I am obviously really excited to
- 11:27Speaker 1: make my coffee in my new house, like find a
- 11:30Speaker 1: new cozy corner on my couch in my new house.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Like there's obviously so much excitement around that, and like
- 11:35Speaker 1: romanticizing those little things. But I do think like finding
- 11:38Speaker 1: joy in your home of doing these things are still
- 11:42Speaker 1: like excitement and it makes you feel good and you
- 11:45Speaker 1: realize how important it is. Actually It's funny today when
- 11:47Speaker 1: I was on my walk with Freddie, I decided to
- 11:50Speaker 1: walk to my favorite coffee shop today instead of drive.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And that was something that I could have easily just
- 11:55Speaker 1: got my car going to pick up coffee beans come back,
- 11:58Speaker 1: you know what I mean. But I was like, one,
- 12:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna go walk in my favorite trail that I
- 12:02Speaker 1: love and walk to the coffee shop through that trail
- 12:05Speaker 1: to pick up my beans and then walk back home.
- 12:07Speaker 1: And like I really did enjoy that because like I
- 12:10Speaker 1: was romanticizing something by like doing something that I love,
- 12:13Speaker 1: which is walking, and like also I love coffee, so
- 12:16Speaker 1: like going to like walk through the trail, pick up
- 12:18Speaker 1: my coffee, come back, Like I don't know. I felt
- 12:20Speaker 1: like that was something that I don't typically do, but
- 12:22Speaker 1: like I really really enjoyed it by including my walking
- 12:26Speaker 1: routine into you know, an errand that I had to
- 12:28Speaker 1: get done for the day. So I really really love
- 12:31Speaker 1: something like that, where it's just as little as taking
- 12:34Speaker 1: the time to move my body and doing the little
- 12:37Speaker 1: things by romanticizing it. I put on my music, you know,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I just had my headphones in. Really just enjoyed it
- 12:43Speaker 1: and walked for like an hour and a half and
- 12:46Speaker 1: I loved it. So anyways, romanticizing those little things truly
- 12:49Speaker 1: do make a huge difference in your day. Another one
- 12:52Speaker 1: is moving your body because you love it, not because
- 12:55Speaker 1: you have to.
- 12:56Speaker 2: If you hate working out, do not do it.
- 13:00Speaker 1: But if you hate it, like, find other ways to
- 13:02Speaker 1: move your body that you would consider a workout by
- 13:06Speaker 1: doing something that you actually enjoy. Like, I don't want
- 13:08Speaker 1: someone to force themselves to be in the gym, you know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: two to three times a week just because they feel
- 13:14Speaker 1: like they have to, or because like that's what all
- 13:16Speaker 1: the girls are doing, Like that's what I need to do.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Like, please don't do that.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Please find something that you actually enjoy doing, because that's
- 13:24Speaker 1: when you're actually going to a be obsessed with your life,
- 13:27Speaker 1: but also be consistent with it and create a routine
- 13:30Speaker 1: for yourself and actually see the results that you might
- 13:32Speaker 1: want to see. Right, So, if it's going on walks,
- 13:35Speaker 1: do it. Go on walks. If you love to run,
- 13:38Speaker 1: go on the runs. Going to pilates, going to yoga,
- 13:40Speaker 1: going to dance classes, going to strength training, like whatever
- 13:43Speaker 1: it is. Do what makes you feel good, because, as
- 13:47Speaker 1: I said, that's when you're actually going to be consistent
- 13:49Speaker 1: and continue to show up and do it. Because if
- 13:52Speaker 1: you friacking hate it, you're not gonna want to go back,
- 13:55Speaker 1: or you're going to hate your life because you're forcing
- 13:57Speaker 1: yourself to do something that you don't love. So I
- 14:00Speaker 1: definitely always say figure out what works for you. I
- 14:02Speaker 1: think everyone has a different type of love for different
- 14:05Speaker 1: types of workouts. Lately, obviously, I've been loving pilates, I've
- 14:08Speaker 1: been loving walking. I've been really enjoying longer walks. I've
- 14:12Speaker 1: been trying to walk like an hour and a half
- 14:14Speaker 1: and get like ten thousand steps in one walk, which
- 14:17Speaker 1: has been great, and honestly it's a freaking workout. Man.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Like, I think walking is so underrated.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I literally was dying from my walk today, Like my
- 14:25Speaker 1: legs were actually sore. And I looked at my step
- 14:28Speaker 1: count and I was at ninety five hundred steps from
- 14:30Speaker 1: that one walk, and I was like, that's crazy. I
- 14:32Speaker 1: almost hit ten thousand steps just in that one walk.
- 14:35Speaker 1: But I felt so good after and it literally felt
- 14:37Speaker 1: like a workout, Like it is a different form of workout,
- 14:40Speaker 1: it's a different form of movement. So you can really
- 14:42Speaker 1: find ways to move your body in so many different
- 14:45Speaker 1: forms and still love doing it. So anyways, do something
- 14:49Speaker 1: that you love. Don't work out if you hate it.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Just find ways to move your body that you actually
- 14:54Speaker 1: enjoy doing. Become the friend that everyone loves to be around.
- 14:58Speaker 1: So what I mean by that is always show up
- 15:01Speaker 1: for your friends, because you want to be the girl
- 15:04Speaker 1: that remembers the birthdays, that remembers to compliment them, to
- 15:09Speaker 1: celebrate them in general, Like, always make sure to be
- 15:12Speaker 1: the friend that your friends want to reach out to
- 15:14Speaker 1: and talk to and like be able to open themselves
- 15:17Speaker 1: up to them, because that's what you guys want in life,
- 15:20Speaker 1: Like you want a good friend, and you don't need
- 15:23Speaker 1: ten to fourteen friends to like make yourself feel like,
- 15:27Speaker 1: oh I have a good group of people, you know
- 15:28Speaker 1: what I mean, Like you can have two good friends
- 15:31Speaker 1: and still have.
- 15:31Speaker 2: A really really happy life.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Like you don't need to have a bunch of girlfriends
- 15:35Speaker 1: to make yourself feel like you have a good life,
- 15:38Speaker 1: Like you just need two or three really really good friends.
- 15:41Speaker 1: And I feel like now that I'm thirty, I definitely
- 15:44Speaker 1: feel like I've learned a lot about friendship and how
- 15:46Speaker 1: important it is, because I feel like now going through
- 15:50Speaker 1: a really busy season in life. I think, you know,
- 15:52Speaker 1: a lot of my friends are either getting engaged, planning
- 15:55Speaker 1: a wedding, moving out of their house, moving into a
- 15:57Speaker 1: new one, going through renovations of a new house, or
- 16:01Speaker 1: having babies, right and I feel like all those things
- 16:04Speaker 1: are busy. Everyone's busy doing something, and it's really hard
- 16:07Speaker 1: to like show up and show that you care for
- 16:09Speaker 1: the person when you're going through such a crazy period
- 16:12Speaker 1: of time. And so, like, one thing that I really
- 16:14Speaker 1: want to do for my best friend is my best
- 16:17Speaker 1: friend is about to have a baby this week, and
- 16:19Speaker 1: I really really want to find the time to go to.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Farm Boy, which is a grocery store here in.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Ottawa, pick up some food and cook her a home
- 16:28Speaker 1: cooked meal and maybe some breakfast or something like that
- 16:32Speaker 1: and drop it off at our house when she's going
- 16:34Speaker 1: through the first week of postpartum, because I know that's
- 16:37Speaker 1: usually a really difficult first week of just balancing life
- 16:41Speaker 1: while also trying to feed yourself taking care of a newborn. Like,
- 16:44Speaker 1: there's a lot going on, right, So it's like, I
- 16:46Speaker 1: want to be able to show up for her because
- 16:48Speaker 1: she shows up for me when I need something, right,
- 16:51Speaker 1: So I just I want to show her that I'm
- 16:53Speaker 1: a good friend because I care for her, and like
- 16:55Speaker 1: I want to be there for her by doing something small,
- 16:58Speaker 1: which is just making her a home cooked meal in
- 17:01Speaker 1: some breakfast. So I think it's really really important to
- 17:05Speaker 1: love your friends just as much as you love yourself
- 17:07Speaker 1: and show that you care for them because they're going
- 17:10Speaker 1: to be there for you when you feel like you
- 17:12Speaker 1: need someone. And yeah, I think friendships are so so important.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And again, it's not about how many friends you have.
- 17:17Speaker 1: It's more important to know that you have a few
- 17:21Speaker 1: good people in your life that you can count on
- 17:23Speaker 1: that you know will always be there to celebrate your
- 17:25Speaker 1: wins and your highs and your birthdays and all that.
- 17:29Speaker 1: So anyways, and just you want to be that person
- 17:32Speaker 1: that they can come to too, and that they feel
- 17:33Speaker 1: comfortable of sharing those exciting things with you, because there's
- 17:36Speaker 1: no better feeling than obviously hearing exciting news from your friends.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Another thing is creating a home that feels like your
- 17:43Speaker 1: safe space. This is definitely something I've learned throughout the way,
- 17:48Speaker 1: especially with like this house here. When I first moved
- 17:51Speaker 1: into this house, I think designing a house was like
- 17:53Speaker 1: a lot of stress because you don't really know how
- 17:56Speaker 1: you want to design it right, Like it's something that's
- 17:59Speaker 1: like really stressful. You want to, you know, invest in
- 18:01Speaker 1: the right furniture pieces and the right things. And what
- 18:05Speaker 1: I've realized is that comfort is truly key. Like if
- 18:08Speaker 1: you buy something that is not comfortable whatsoever, or you
- 18:11Speaker 1: literally just bought it for show, there is going to
- 18:14Speaker 1: be issues because you're going to realize that it wasn't
- 18:17Speaker 1: worth the money, and then you're buying something that you
- 18:19Speaker 1: probably should have just spent your money on and realize
- 18:22Speaker 1: that like, yeah, going down the comfort route is better
- 18:25Speaker 1: than for show, right, So I really really see my
- 18:29Speaker 1: house as my safe space, and like you want to
- 18:32Speaker 1: make that as comfortable as possible because like at the end,
- 18:34Speaker 1: of the day. You come home to this house every
- 18:36Speaker 1: single day, and you want to fall in love with
- 18:39Speaker 1: your house. So I feel like you really need to
- 18:42Speaker 1: be picky about like things you purchase for things that
- 18:45Speaker 1: you design with it everything right, Like you really want
- 18:48Speaker 1: to be cautious of what you buy because like your
- 18:52Speaker 1: space is like so important. Like all I want is
- 18:55Speaker 1: like soft blankets, a cozy couch, a house with good lighting.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You know, fresh sense in the home and.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Want the house to feel clean, Like those to me
- 19:04Speaker 1: are like the most important things. And yeah, I don't know,
- 19:08Speaker 1: like I think about that for the new house and
- 19:10Speaker 1: how I really want to take that into account for
- 19:13Speaker 1: when I'm buying a few new furniture pieces for the house,
- 19:16Speaker 1: and how I want to design it with obviously a
- 19:20Speaker 1: beautiful design in mind, but also keep in mind that
- 19:23Speaker 1: it's like it needs to be comfortable, it needs to
- 19:25Speaker 1: be practical, it needs to be realistic. Another one is
- 19:28Speaker 1: taking care of yourself like you're someone you love. If
- 19:31Speaker 1: you don't fall in love with yourself, it is gonna
- 19:34Speaker 1: be really hard for you to love your life because
- 19:37Speaker 1: if you don't pamper yourself and do the little things
- 19:40Speaker 1: that make you feel good about yourself, you're gonna lose
- 19:42Speaker 1: that spark in yourself, you know what I mean, Like
- 19:44Speaker 1: invest in those little things like book, the facial book,
- 19:47Speaker 1: the nail appointment book, the haircut. If those things make
- 19:50Speaker 1: you feel good, then do it. Then there's drinking enough
- 19:53Speaker 1: water throughout the day, going to bed earlier, eating a
- 19:56Speaker 1: nutritious meal, wearing the SPF, speak kindly to yourself, like,
- 20:01Speaker 1: there's so many things that you can think of that
- 20:04Speaker 1: those things like make such an important part of how
- 20:07Speaker 1: you feel. Because if you're eating like shit all the time,
- 20:10Speaker 1: like if you're ordering takeout, you're gonna feel like shit
- 20:13Speaker 1: and you're gonna not feel good about yourself. So I
- 20:15Speaker 1: think actually spending the time like cooking those meals for yourself,
- 20:20Speaker 1: drinking enough water, like you're showing yourself that you care.
- 20:24Speaker 1: So I think doing those little things really make the
- 20:26Speaker 1: biggest difference in how you feel.
- 20:28Speaker 2: And again, putting.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yourself first shows that you love yourself and that doing
- 20:33Speaker 1: these little things boost your confidence. It makes you feel
- 20:36Speaker 1: better about yourself, It makes yourself more confident, you know
- 20:39Speaker 1: what I mean. So I think, yeah, taking care of
- 20:41Speaker 1: yourself is pretty important when it comes to someone that
- 20:44Speaker 1: wants to be obsessed with their life. Another one is
- 20:46Speaker 1: stop waiting for your boyfriend or husband to make life exciting.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I feel like in the beginning of a relationship, I
- 20:54Speaker 1: think everybody kind of goes through this, but you're on
- 20:56Speaker 1: this high where like you want to do absolutely everything
- 20:59Speaker 1: with your boyfriend, and you know what I mean, It's like, oh,
- 21:01Speaker 1: you know, there's a day goes by and you're not
- 21:03Speaker 1: with him. You're like, I miss him, like I wish
- 21:04Speaker 1: I was with him, Like you literally want to do
- 21:06Speaker 1: everything with them, which I totally get. I was totally
- 21:09Speaker 1: on that high when I was with my husband, when
- 21:13Speaker 1: I was in zach in the beginning of you know,
- 21:15Speaker 1: high school, I felt like there was this high just
- 21:16Speaker 1: like wanting to do everything with him and like kind
- 21:19Speaker 1: of like shutting your friends out, which is obviously not
- 21:22Speaker 1: the point, right. You need to be able to love
- 21:24Speaker 1: your life without your husband in it as well, you
- 21:27Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like still being able to do
- 21:29Speaker 1: fun things with your friends, still being able to do
- 21:31Speaker 1: fun things with your sister, like going to concerts, having
- 21:34Speaker 1: girls' nights, going out for dinner together. Like you need
- 21:37Speaker 1: to love your life with your friends, with your family,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and like obviously including your husband in certain things, but
- 21:43Speaker 1: also like not including your husband's and everything, and like
- 21:46Speaker 1: being able to do fun things with your girlfriends, having
- 21:50Speaker 1: that separate identity, like I want to make sure my
- 21:52Speaker 1: husband has fun with his guy friends, and like you
- 21:54Speaker 1: go golfing, you do that, Like I want you to
- 21:56Speaker 1: do that. Well, I want to go hang out with
- 21:59Speaker 1: my girlfriends, go out for dinner and chat for four
- 22:01Speaker 1: hours and like, yeah, have a fun girls' night. So
- 22:04Speaker 1: being able to have those separate parts of our life
- 22:07Speaker 1: is so important because it allows you to like look
- 22:10Speaker 1: forward to those things with your friends and be excited
- 22:13Speaker 1: about it and not having to feel like you need
- 22:15Speaker 1: to do everything with your partner. So it's so so
- 22:19Speaker 1: important to also do those solo dates of like falling
- 22:21Speaker 1: in love with yourself and like going on a coffee
- 22:23Speaker 1: date by yourself, Like it's important to fall in love
- 22:26Speaker 1: with yourself as well, and not just like your husband
- 22:30Speaker 1: or your boyfriend and your friends and your family, like
- 22:32Speaker 1: you also need.
- 22:33Speaker 2: To love yourself too.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So just making sure that you create an identity for
- 22:38Speaker 1: yourself that separates yourself from your husband or your boyfriend
- 22:42Speaker 1: and being able to do those things without them. Another
- 22:44Speaker 1: one is becoming financially independent. We talked a lot about
- 22:47Speaker 1: this in a previous episode. I think it was called
- 22:50Speaker 1: how to Become Hotter and Richer, and I really chatted
- 22:53Speaker 1: about financial situations and like how to make yourself feel
- 22:57Speaker 1: more richer and just like how to say your money
- 23:00Speaker 1: properly and invest in all that. So I really do
- 23:04Speaker 1: think there's something empowering about being financially independent and actually
- 23:07Speaker 1: being able to take care of yourself financially, like not
- 23:11Speaker 1: having to rely on anyone for money, Like, you know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: you really want to be able to have that financial
- 23:16Speaker 1: freedom of being able to like invest in those things
- 23:19Speaker 1: for yourself and not have to rely on someone else's money.
- 23:23Speaker 2: So definitely take a peek at that episode if you haven't.
- 23:26Speaker 1: I personally loved recording that episode, and I feel like
- 23:29Speaker 1: it makes me feel really proud knowing how, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 1: I spent my money wisely throughout the years that I've
- 23:36Speaker 1: had a job. I feel like I was always very
- 23:38Speaker 1: smart with my money, and I think that's something special
- 23:41Speaker 1: and something really proud to do. And I've always been
- 23:45Speaker 1: very very smart with my money, and I think that's
- 23:47Speaker 1: really really important, And again, it makes you feel really
- 23:50Speaker 1: really good about yourself. When you're putting your money in
- 23:52Speaker 1: the right places and like you're saving and you're doing
- 23:54Speaker 1: the right things, you know what I mean, Or you're
- 23:56Speaker 1: not splurging your money on stupid things that you don't
- 23:59Speaker 1: think is necessary. So definitely, being financially independent, I feel
- 24:03Speaker 1: like makes me feel really good and I personally feel
- 24:06Speaker 1: like it's a huge component to falling in love with
- 24:09Speaker 1: your life. I feel like, if you're spending all your
- 24:11Speaker 1: money and you're not saving, like it's going to be
- 24:13Speaker 1: hard to fall in love with your life if you
- 24:15Speaker 1: can even afford to, like go get a coffee at
- 24:17Speaker 1: a coffee shop, you know what I mean. Like you
- 24:19Speaker 1: just don't want to make stupid decisions on money, because
- 24:22Speaker 1: money is truly something you need to be very smart
- 24:24Speaker 1: with and it makes a huge difference on how you
- 24:27Speaker 1: can use your money towards things like fun things to
- 24:30Speaker 1: do with your friends, trips, concerts, whatever the case may be,
- 24:33Speaker 1: which kind of goes into the next one, which is
- 24:35Speaker 1: giving yourself something to look forward to. So book the trips,
- 24:39Speaker 1: book the dinner dates, start the projects. Doing these things
- 24:43Speaker 1: creates excitement in your life and it creates something that
- 24:46Speaker 1: you look forward to. For example, me and my sister
- 24:48Speaker 1: were actually talking this past weekend and we brought up
- 24:51Speaker 1: how we've been wanting to go to Vermont in the
- 24:54Speaker 1: fall because Vermont is like very well known for their
- 24:56Speaker 1: fall aesthetic. So me and my sister were like, hey,
- 24:59Speaker 1: we've been talking about the for years, Like we just
- 25:01Speaker 1: need to like book the trip and do it, because
- 25:03Speaker 1: if we keep saying we're gonna book it, it's never
- 25:05Speaker 1: gonna happen if.
- 25:05Speaker 2: We don't actually execute on it.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So we're doing it, and I'm so excited for it,
- 25:11Speaker 1: and again, it's something to look forward to, it's something
- 25:13Speaker 1: to do. But because like I was financially smart, I
- 25:16Speaker 1: was able to book the trip and spend the money
- 25:19Speaker 1: and do those fun things. So I think a lot
- 25:21Speaker 1: of these things kind of play a huge role and
- 25:23Speaker 1: like how you can execute other things to again enjoy
- 25:27Speaker 1: your life become obsessed with it. So all these little
- 25:30Speaker 1: tips really just kind of like intertwine into the same category,
- 25:34Speaker 1: if that makes sense. And I really do think, yeah,
- 25:37Speaker 1: just booking the fun things with your friends is what's
- 25:40Speaker 1: going to make you excited and look forward to the
- 25:43Speaker 1: little things and like wanting to do those fun things
- 25:45Speaker 1: in your life. And the last one is become the
- 25:48Speaker 1: woman your younger self dreamed of. So I saw this episode.
- 25:53Speaker 1: It was a while back on TikTok. It was a
- 25:56Speaker 1: Jay Shutty podcast episode, and I think it was with
- 25:58Speaker 1: Kendall Jenner, and Kendall was talking about how with her therapists,
- 26:04Speaker 1: they were talking about her inner child work and like
- 26:07Speaker 1: how we see ourself and how to really love ourself.
- 26:11Speaker 1: And she was talking about how her therapist told her
- 26:14Speaker 1: to find a picture of herself when she was younger
- 26:17Speaker 1: and to hang it on her bathroom mirror. That way,
- 26:20Speaker 1: when she woke up every single morning and she went
- 26:22Speaker 1: to the bathroom, she could see her younger self and
- 26:25Speaker 1: if she was ever thinking negatively about herself, she would
- 26:29Speaker 1: look at this picture of herself as a kid and think,
- 26:32Speaker 1: would my six year old self be proud of what
- 26:34Speaker 1: I said about myself? Like would she be proud of
- 26:37Speaker 1: the life that I've been building for myself these you know,
- 26:39Speaker 1: past few years, Like almost like talking to her younger
- 26:42Speaker 1: self and like remembering, like why am I here? Like
- 26:46Speaker 1: why am I talking negative to myself? I should be
- 26:49Speaker 1: talking positive to myself because the negativity that you're saying
- 26:53Speaker 1: is to that little girl that you're seeing in the picture,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And I loved that they
- 26:58Speaker 1: talked about this in the podcast because I'm like it's
- 27:00Speaker 1: so true, Like I couldn't imagine like looking at a
- 27:03Speaker 1: younger picture of myself and like talking so negatively about
- 27:06Speaker 1: myself and then like looking at this like little kid
- 27:09Speaker 1: that's just like so happy and so excited to see
- 27:12Speaker 1: like what the future holds. And like also like would
- 27:14Speaker 1: she be proud of everything that I've done these past
- 27:17Speaker 1: twenty twenty years or twenty five years?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Like whoever old I am in this picture?
- 27:20Speaker 1: But I think it makes you realize, like how you
- 27:24Speaker 1: should be so proud of the woman that you've become,
- 27:27Speaker 1: and like shift your mindset of like, oh no, like
- 27:30Speaker 1: I am a confident individual, I am happy with who
- 27:33Speaker 1: I am. Like it really like changed your perspective, It
- 27:35Speaker 1: changes your mindset and really just like allows you to
- 27:39Speaker 1: like look at your younger self and like realize like
- 27:42Speaker 1: I wouldn't be saying those things at six years old,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Like I would be so happy with my life and
- 27:47Speaker 1: like so excited to like see what things are to come.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And I don't know, I just thought it was like
- 27:52Speaker 1: such a special thing that they chatted about and Yeah,
- 27:57Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think you'd ever want to
- 27:58Speaker 1: be mean to yourself. I think you alway just like
- 28:00Speaker 1: want to remove that negativity from your life and always
- 28:03Speaker 1: think about the positives about yourself because there's so much.
- 28:06Speaker 2: To be grateful for.
- 28:07Speaker 1: There's so much to be happy with, and every little
- 28:11Speaker 1: thing that you do you should see as like a blessing,
- 28:13Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because, like like I said
- 28:16Speaker 1: in like the previous episode, there's gonna be negative things
- 28:18Speaker 1: and there's gonna be lows in your life, but it's
- 28:20Speaker 1: always so important to try to see the positives in everything.
- 28:23Speaker 1: And I know that's really hard to do, but we
- 28:25Speaker 1: should really be so grateful for the little things that
- 28:28Speaker 1: we do have because there are people out there that
- 28:30Speaker 1: would dream of that, you know what I mean. So
- 28:32Speaker 1: I think that's a really good way of like trying
- 28:34Speaker 1: to shift your perspective. Anyways, that's my take on like
- 28:38Speaker 1: how I personally think. I personally love my life and
- 28:42Speaker 1: like why I feel like I'm obsessed with like myself
- 28:46Speaker 1: and like things that like I do to make myself
- 28:49Speaker 1: feel good about myself every single day, whether it's romanticizing
- 28:52Speaker 1: the little things, you know, making sure that I'm dressing
- 28:54Speaker 1: for myself and not anybody else, making sure that like
- 28:58Speaker 1: I'm still loving myself and like doing those things for myself,
- 29:01Speaker 1: like pippering myself by doing those appointments. And I don't know,
- 29:04Speaker 1: like there's so much that I've talked about throughout this
- 29:05Speaker 1: episode that I just like think really reflects how you
- 29:08Speaker 1: want your life to be and how to really fall
- 29:11Speaker 1: in love with it and be obsessed with it. And
- 29:12Speaker 1: I do think these tips are a really great thing
- 29:15Speaker 1: to look back on, especially when you feel like you're
- 29:17Speaker 1: losing your spark or losing your rut, Like go back
- 29:19Speaker 1: to these things and be like, Okay, I'm not doing
- 29:21Speaker 1: a morning routine anymore.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I need to get back into that.
- 29:24Speaker 1: And you know, working on that one thing already might
- 29:27Speaker 1: make you feel a little bit better about your life.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Right, So everything takes one step at a time.
- 29:32Speaker 1: And I don't know, I thought this was a fun
- 29:34Speaker 1: episode to do and just something that I wanted to
- 29:36Speaker 1: share with you guys. So anyways, I love you guys.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Also much thank you guys for listening to another episode.

- 29:58Speaker 1: Thank you guys for listening to another episode is but
