- 0:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, the man, the myth, the.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Unpredictable legend, Jack!
- 0:16Speaker 1: He'll bet the under, then cheer for the over. Claims
- 0:19Speaker 1: he's scratched, can't find the fairway. Powered by pork chops,
- 0:23Speaker 1: hot dogs, and confidence facts.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He'll figure those out someday.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Traded the soonest for Husker. We'll be right back. We'll
- 0:31Speaker 1: be right back.
- 0:32Speaker 2: We'll be right back. Wacky-dacky Wednesday here. Wow.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Has everyone pinched themselves yet from that win? The best
- 1:07Speaker 3: win the Huskers have felt, well, I felt, I don't
- 1:10Speaker 3: know about anyone else, in a long, long time.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'll tell you what.
- 1:16Speaker 3: To go out and, I know the score said blowout,
- 1:19Speaker 3: it felt like they controlled a Big Ten run game
- 1:26Speaker 3: for the first time in a long time. Now, This
- 1:29Speaker 3: is exactly what Husker fans want to come in into
- 1:31Speaker 3: the year. 4-0, what can you complain about? Well, I
- 1:34Speaker 3: hear fans still nitpicking this game.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Blah, blah, blah, blah. You know what?
- 1:37Speaker 3: 4-0, probably, I'm just going to say it, should be,
- 1:43Speaker 3: will be 5-0 going into the Indiana game.
- 1:44Speaker 2: That's what we all wanted.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Now, I'm just going to go out there and say,
- 1:49Speaker 3: player of the week, star of the week, surprise of
- 1:53Speaker 3: the week right there, Vincent Ginitoni. Might have botched his
- 1:57Speaker 3: name right there. This guy, playing linebacker for the last
- 2:02Speaker 3: three seasons, and then changing to running back. Coming in,
- 2:05Speaker 3: catching a huge third down on the goal line, getting
- 2:10Speaker 3: a touchdown right there.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Insane. He actually had two touchdowns that game. Insane.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Surprise of the year right there. When that guy was in,
- 2:16Speaker 3: I was like, who is this guy? And I'm sure
- 2:18Speaker 3: a lot of Husker fans like that, too. There are
- 2:20Speaker 3: probably some out there like, oh, I know exactly who
- 2:22Speaker 3: he is. But no one knew who he was, really.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Him coming in, getting those two touchdowns, surprise of the year.
- 2:28Speaker 3: I would expect that guy's probably going to get, especially
- 2:31Speaker 3: passing game, like might be third down back.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I don't know. We will see.
- 2:36Speaker 3: One part that I've been really impressed with about the
- 2:41Speaker 3: Huskers so far.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Is their defense.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I mean, not so far. The last two games is
- 2:47Speaker 3: their defense. Now, I know Michigan State's quarterbacks are complete ass.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Like, they sucked, which I said coming into the game.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Both of those quarterbacks.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And I don't know why they decided to throw that
- 3:01Speaker 3: lefty out there. That guy can't throw the ball at all.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Pat Fitzgerald, if you're listening, don't play that guy anymore.
- 3:07Speaker 2: He's horrible.
- 3:08Speaker 3: I'm all for lefty quarterbacks. But, man, what a stain
- 3:14Speaker 3: upon left-handers that guy did.
- 3:15Speaker 2: He is horrible. For them to say, oh, no, we'll
- 3:22Speaker 2: roll out.
- 3:22Speaker 3: These guys to A & J instead of paying A
- 3:24Speaker 3: & J whatever he wants.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I know A & J ain't great.
- 3:26Speaker 3: But he is, like, so much better for Northwestern than
- 3:29Speaker 3: what these two quarterbacks have. Pat Fitzgerald, you screwed up.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Horrible quarterback situation at Michigan State. And they haven't had
- 3:35Speaker 3: a good offense in a long time out there at
- 3:39Speaker 3: Michigan State. I don't know what the problem is there.
- 3:42Speaker 3: But to go up 13 points against Michigan State, you
- 3:48Speaker 3: have to be impressed with that defense. I was really
- 3:52Speaker 3: worried about them coming out of the Ohio game. Now
- 3:54Speaker 3: I was worried even more. That's Big Ten football right there, baby.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Shut down that team's offense.
- 4:01Speaker 2: And you know what?
- 4:03Speaker 3: I'm going to say it on the other side. I've
- 4:05Speaker 3: said this before. We got a freaking quarterback. This dude, Calandria,
- 4:11Speaker 3: is a baller. What he does scrambling-wise when sacks are coming,
- 4:19Speaker 3: it's amazing. Which we saw the last two seasons with Raul,
- 4:23Speaker 3: that dude. If he gets a freaking five-mile-an-hour win, that
- 4:27Speaker 3: dude's falling down. But Landry is scrambling around, making plays,
- 4:30Speaker 3: not giving up on plays.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And he has not made the, which I thought coming
- 4:38Speaker 3: into the year he would, the catastrophic pick, horrible throw
- 4:41Speaker 3: that he would.
- 4:42Speaker 2: He has not done that yet.
- 4:46Speaker 3: What I am worried about him is, and I heard
- 4:49Speaker 3: this yesterday, he's only slid twice. I can't remember his
- 4:56Speaker 3: whole career or how many seasons it was twice. You know,
- 5:00Speaker 3: I'm just gonna say twice his whole career. He loves
- 5:03Speaker 3: the lower shoulder, which, which I get steam going.
- 5:05Speaker 2: I know, but.
- 5:08Speaker 3: It's a little scary there with the injury wise. He
- 5:10Speaker 3: needs to probably not as take his main hits as
- 5:12Speaker 3: he had been. I mean, he, he took some fricking
- 5:14Speaker 3: shots against Michigan state, but he gets up, which, which
- 5:18Speaker 3: I guess is test to dial healthy. That dudes can stay. Um,
- 5:22Speaker 3: He's definitely not a pussy. Unlike somebody out in Chicago,
- 5:25Speaker 3: Caleb Williams, that guy, that guy, if he takes any shots,
- 5:28Speaker 3: Kalandria takes, and I'm a snake game.
- 5:30Speaker 2: He's out for the year.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Probably getting live flight out the field. Kalandria take hits.
- 5:35Speaker 3: He can take hits. I just don't want him to
- 5:39Speaker 3: be taking as many shots as big template. It's a
- 5:41Speaker 3: little different from mountain West hits to big 10 hits. Take,
- 5:45Speaker 3: take a couple of slides here.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Don't, don't get hurt.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Um, It was also nice to see the calls going
- 5:56Speaker 3: Nebraska's way. Gilmore's catch, which I thought was a catch,
- 6:04Speaker 3: they called that catch on the field. Michigan State had
- 6:06Speaker 3: one a little similar. It's awesome that there was multiple
- 6:10Speaker 3: calls in that game, that the refs helped out Nebraska.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I wouldn't say tremendously. I think they were good calls.
- 6:19Speaker 3: You ask a Michigan State fan, that was the worst
- 6:20Speaker 3: ref game of history. But it's insane to actually have
- 6:25Speaker 3: a game where calls are going the right way. I
- 6:28Speaker 3: straight up think the basketball team shot Fred Hoiberg, the
- 6:32Speaker 3: basketball team changed Nebraska sports all around. It's been great
- 6:37Speaker 3: ever since the basketball team, besides the one game in Iowa.
- 6:40Speaker 2: We won't talk about that, but.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Every, every sporting team for Nebraska since then has been fantastic. Um,
- 6:50Speaker 3: And I don't even know about baseball, sure, whatever. I
- 6:53Speaker 3: don't want to give too much for baseball. But football,
- 6:55Speaker 3: volleyball teams, fantastic against a basketball team. Shot by Fred Hoiberg,
- 6:59Speaker 3: I think you've changed everything about Nebraska. Now, going into
- 7:04Speaker 3: this week, actually, wait, there's one more shot I want
- 7:08Speaker 3: to give to. The cart guy from Michigan State, that
- 7:11Speaker 3: guy made his mind worse that day. As many players
- 7:14Speaker 3: as Michigan State had carted off, insane.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I mean... That guy probably.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Came in the game thinking, oh, I'm not going to
- 7:20Speaker 3: be doing that much this game. He was hauling people
- 7:23Speaker 3: off the field like, you know, I would say a
- 7:25Speaker 3: good eight players got carted off the field.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Shout out that guy.
- 7:29Speaker 3: He deserves every single penny he got. He was working
- 7:33Speaker 3: like a madman that game. Injuries galore for Michigan State.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Now going into this week, Maryland, they, I didn't know
- 7:43Speaker 3: if their coach was still going to be coaching this.
- 7:45Speaker 3: He is going to be coaching this game, but So
- 7:47Speaker 3: it was 54-3 to UCLA.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Embarrassing.
- 7:50Speaker 3: That's embarrassing to leak right there. But what Maryland did,
- 7:52Speaker 3: that was at home too. Maryland did, that might be
- 7:56Speaker 3: straight up the worst loss of the season. Them or
- 7:59Speaker 3: Rutgers against UMass. Up there with two worst losses of
- 8:02Speaker 3: the season. Embarrassing by them.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I thought Maryland had a good quarterback. You know what? Even,
- 8:09Speaker 2: I know you can't just say one game, bad game.
- 8:11Speaker 2: I'm out on that guy. Horrible. horrible.
- 8:15Speaker 3: I don't think he's that good. I think the team,
- 8:18Speaker 3: which we'll see this week, has straight up quit on
- 8:20Speaker 3: that coaching staff in Maryland. There is one thing that
- 8:23Speaker 3: Matt Rule said, which is you can't take these teams
- 8:27Speaker 3: lightly because a couple years ago, Nebraska played Indiana, got
- 8:31Speaker 3: their absolute butts kicked. What they did the next week
- 8:34Speaker 3: after that came out about beat Ohio State. Hopefully, that's
- 8:38Speaker 3: not what Maryland's going to do. I don't think Maryland's
- 8:40Speaker 3: even close to the talent lines we have, but It's
- 8:44Speaker 3: either a team that's going to come out and fight
- 8:46Speaker 3: for their coach and put up good effort, or they're
- 8:50Speaker 3: going to come out and just get smoked and it's
- 8:52Speaker 3: going to be the end of the year for them.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I think it's leaning on the version of the team
- 8:55Speaker 3: squinting on the coach, the coach has to have everything
- 8:56Speaker 3: like it's over. It could be a team that comes
- 8:59Speaker 3: out fighting, which is a little bit scary, but I
- 9:02Speaker 3: think this should be a good, solid win for Nebraska.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I think the defense will continue to look great. Now,
- 9:11Speaker 3: it's come in with It also could be a trap
- 9:14Speaker 3: game because next week we got a huge one against Indiana.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Everyone's looking forward to kind of skipping over Indiana, which
- 9:19Speaker 3: ain't good. So for a trap game, a team that
- 9:22Speaker 3: could be fighting, a little bit scary. But I think
- 9:24Speaker 3: it's going to be an absolute butt kick on Saturday
- 9:27Speaker 3: against a team that's quick.
- 9:29Speaker 2: That's what I think. But you know what?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Speaking of Indiana, they announced the other day a big
- 9:33Speaker 3: new kickoff. I hate 11 a.m.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Games. Horrible.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Why Fox Sports has decided to make that their big-time slot? Yeah,
- 9:42Speaker 3: I get 2.30. That's awesome. 2.30, 7 o'clock, big time.
- 9:45Speaker 3: 11 a.m. should not be the big time slot for them.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I hate it. Whatever.
- 9:49Speaker 3: But at least we get to listen to Gus Johnson.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Love that guy. Shout out to you. Great announcer. Great
- 9:55Speaker 2: announcer right there. But you know what? Screw you, Fox. Sports.
- 9:58Speaker 3: I've said this before. Screw you, Fox Sports, for making
- 10:00Speaker 3: your 11 a.m. the big-time slot. Now, my bet of
- 10:08Speaker 3: the week, which I've added them up, I am 2-2
- 10:10Speaker 3: now in the year. Do not do Ole Miss back-to-back.
- 10:13Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. Hand up wrong.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Don't completely shut your eyes and bet that game. They
- 10:17Speaker 3: got their absolute– Dick stomped in by Florida. Just an
- 10:22Speaker 3: ass kick off the field. Which, that was a perfectly.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Let down spot.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Vegas knew what they were doing, so I shouldn't have
- 10:28Speaker 3: bet that game hand up. But, yeah, that was another
- 10:31Speaker 3: surprise of the week.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Florida, for real. I think Ole Miss still really good.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I think they just got a let down spot.
- 10:38Speaker 3: So, my better week this week, Wisconsin minus 10 against
- 10:41Speaker 3: Michigan State.
- 10:42Speaker 2: As I was saying, the cart guy, I don't know
- 10:45Speaker 2: who Michigan State has left to play.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Like, unless all those players are playing this week, I
- 10:50Speaker 3: haven't looked at the injury report yet. I don't know
- 10:52Speaker 3: if Michigan State has anybody left on the field to play.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Wisconsin's minus 10. By the way, they beat Penn State again.
- 10:58Speaker 3: Penn State is a team. Boy, do they know how
- 11:02Speaker 3: to lose games like that against.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Jesus. Against Wisconsin. They love to lose, like, games like
- 11:11Speaker 2: you're not expecting. And then you look at the score like, oh, wait,
- 11:13Speaker 2: Penn State just lost. Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:16Speaker 3: So Wisconsin minus 10, I'm still not very sold on Wisconsin,
- 11:20Speaker 3: but I just don't think Michigan State's very good, and
- 11:22Speaker 3: I don't think that they have any players left to
- 11:24Speaker 3: play after the cart guy wheeled off everybody off the field.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's about all I got this week. I am
- 11:32Speaker 2: very excited. I love that we're in a Big Ten
- 11:35Speaker 2: play now.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I am pumped for this game Saturday, even though it's
- 11:39Speaker 3: against Maryland that everyone thinks we're going to win this game.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:43Speaker 3: All I'm saying is, Hopefully, they're not a team that's
- 11:45Speaker 3: still fighting for their coach. Hopefully, when they get up
- 11:47Speaker 3: on the season, I guess we'll come out and see.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So, yeah. You know what?
- 11:52Speaker 2: Let's go out. Absolutely. Kick the crap out of Maryland.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Everyone's going to be hopping on this hype train going
- 11:58Speaker 3: to Indiana.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Great.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Great, because I'm not sold on Indiana either, which I
- 12:02Speaker 3: will get in that next week. I think that this
- 12:06Speaker 3: game is going to get everyone. I do think if
- 12:09Speaker 3: they beat Maryland, it's going to be a ranked matchup
- 12:10Speaker 3: because everyone loves, especially Braves, Voters are going to be like, oh,
- 12:14Speaker 3: let's rank these two teams. So it'll be a ranked
- 12:16Speaker 3: matchup next week against Indiana because I think we're going
- 12:18Speaker 3: to win this week.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Go out there. Get all excited for Indiana game after this.
- 12:23Speaker 2: You know what? Go Big Red.
- 12:28Speaker 1: The headlines change, but the mission stays. From Memorial Stadium
- 12:31Speaker 1: to PBA days. Football Saturdays, basketball nights. Every story chasing
- 12:37Speaker 1: red and white. Recruiting buzz, big time commits.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Camp battles, coaching hits.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Transfer moves and rising stars. The road to.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Glory's never far.
- 12:49Speaker 1: This is Return to Glory Where every headline tells a
- 12:53Speaker 1: story Big Red pride every season Husker Nation's got a
