- 0:00Speaker 1: I have stacks of information and Rich has life hacks. Rich,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I didn't know this, but I'm sure you did, but
- 0:05Speaker 1: I guess Guitar Center used to not let people play
- 0:07Speaker 1: Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven.
- 0:09Speaker 2: No stairway.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Why?
- 0:10Speaker 2: That's a real thing? That was like in Wayne's World.
- 0:13Speaker 4: If you watch Wayne's World, they have no stairway.
- 0:16Speaker 2: They have changed their rules.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Guitar Center has nixed its in-store ban on playing Led
- 0:22Speaker 1: Zeppelin stairway to foster a more welcoming environment.
- 0:25Speaker 2: See, and they're starting to crush it, too, with sales.
- 0:28Speaker 2: I see. Maybe Lipton, that band, is doing it.
- 0:30Speaker 1: New study found that people who ghost other people, the
- 0:34Speaker 1: people that are doing the ghosting, tend to feel worse
- 0:36Speaker 1: about it than people say that they realize, which is
- 0:39Speaker 1: good to hear. It seems like the people that do
- 0:40Speaker 1: the ghosting don't care, but apparently they feel bad, but
- 0:42Speaker 1: they also don't know how to face their problems head on. Chipotle,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I don't know if you've hit this in food news
- 0:47Speaker 1: at all, Rich. This to me is like a major storm.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm surprised you didn't stop down the show when you
- 0:50Speaker 1: heard this. Chipotle is offering limited edition mega-sized versions of
- 0:54Speaker 1: a signature takeout bag.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Looks like it could hold a mini fridge.
- 0:58Speaker 1: It measures 36 inches wide, 24 inches tall, 12 inches deep.
- 1:01Speaker 1: It's called the Big Ass Chipotle Bag.
- 1:03Speaker 2: And you can enter to win one through their app.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, have you seen the boss guy say,
- 1:08Speaker 4: if you want a bigger pull, you just ask, they
- 1:10Speaker 4: give you more, and they don't charge you extra now.
- 1:13Speaker 2: They just give you a side eye. My son came
- 1:14Speaker 2: home and said that was BS, especially the one right here.
- 1:17Speaker 2: They do charge you more. Yeah, they charge you more.
- 1:19Speaker 2: They also give you side eye. What?
- 1:21Speaker 4: He came all pissed off. Because you heard the manager,
- 1:23Speaker 4: the president. They got to get all those affiliates caught up.
- 1:27Speaker 4: A rare baby turtle's been discovered with two heads. And
- 1:30Speaker 4: apparently it has two different personalities. I don't know how
- 1:32Speaker 4: they figured that out.
- 1:33Speaker 2: That's cute.
- 1:34Speaker 1: There's also been an outbreak of bed bugs on a
- 1:37Speaker 1: Qantas flight from Australia to Italy. It caused chaos for passengers.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And the plane then had to go under a deep clean.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That's disgusting.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Terrible.
- 1:45Speaker 1: There's a chart out with the most birthdays. Guess which
- 1:48Speaker 1: month has the most birthdays.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Okay, hold on.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I saw this, but I don't remember. It's like September. Yeah,
- 1:54Speaker 2: it's September. I think there's a lot of Virgos.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Now, why do you think that is? I've always thought
- 1:58Speaker 1: there was a reason for that. And according to what
- 2:01Speaker 1: I read, it's not the reason I thought.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Like a New Year's Eve thing. Like you didn't think
- 2:03Speaker 2: they were getting it on Valentine's Day? No, I thought
- 2:05Speaker 2: it was New Year's Eve.
- 2:06Speaker 3: That's November.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And months later, I thought it's not.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I guess in September, that's when people decide we're going
- 2:11Speaker 1: to have a baby. So let's start to have it.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So they start doing it. And it normally takes three months.
- 2:17Speaker 1: before they get pregnant, and then boom, the baby's born
- 2:20Speaker 1: in September.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Ah.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I'm shocked there's not babies born like right before summer happens.
- 2:25Speaker 2: There are some.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Because if I have to plan it, I don't want
- 2:27Speaker 3: to be pregnant.
- 2:27Speaker 2: There are some that are born right around May, June.
- 2:30Speaker 2: There are some. Wouldn't that be fun to be as
- 2:31Speaker 2: pregnant as you possibly can be in August? I liked
- 2:33Speaker 2: being pregnant in the summer.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I just feel like I would be miserable.
- 2:36Speaker 2: No, but you are a little bit. Then you just
- 2:38Speaker 2: go in the pool and you feel weightless.
- 2:39Speaker 4: And then like once the baby comes out, if it's
- 2:41Speaker 4: already cooler, then you don't have to lug around a
- 2:43Speaker 4: newborn in a super hot car.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I didn't know that you went inside a pool, Kyle.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I thought you didn't like pools. I don't, but I'm
- 2:48Speaker 2: saying you can do that.
- 2:52Speaker 1: A San Francisco startup put out an ad looking for
- 2:55Speaker 1: dog walkers with no experience necessary. The pay is $ 20
- 2:58Speaker 1: an hour, but the dog is not a real dog.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It's a 33-pound robot dog, and it does everything that
- 3:04Speaker 1: other dogs do.
- 3:05Speaker 2: It even gets tired. It even won't push. It won't
- 3:09Speaker 2: do all those things. You don't have to feed it, though, right?
- 3:11Speaker 2: You don't have to feed it. That's pretty cool. Really
- 3:14Speaker 2: weird what's happening in that world. It's like a giant Tamagotchi. Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 2: I knew this was, this is the study.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I saw this yesterday, but a study in South Korea
- 3:24Speaker 1: has revealed that paper straws might actually be worse for
- 3:26Speaker 1: the planet.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Than plastic straws.
- 3:28Speaker 4: Of course. And they're stupid.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Go back to real straws.
- 3:30Speaker 4: They're so dumb.
- 3:31Speaker 2: They disintegrate. Yeah. Can't even finish your beverage.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Right.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Instagram is introducing long-form videos called features. Did you see
- 3:39Speaker 2: this yesterday? Yeah, it's like 90 minutes. Yeah, isn't that crazy?
- 3:41Speaker 2: And they're horizontal videos, so it's basically its own YouTube.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I saw that they, too, you know how you can
- 3:46Speaker 3: pay for your verification and add elements? Now you can
- 3:49Speaker 3: schedule out your story posts if you pay for it.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Interesting. Wendy's Frosty isn't all chocolate. Did you guys know that?
- 3:57Speaker 4: No.
- 3:57Speaker 3: No.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It's actually a chocolate vanilla swirl because they thought if
- 4:01Speaker 1: it were all chocolate, it would overpower the flavor of
- 4:04Speaker 1: the food.
- 4:04Speaker 3: That makes sense on why it's the best.
- 4:07Speaker 2: You know, a Frosty and you dip your French fries
- 4:09Speaker 2: in it? There might be nothing better than that. Score.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Chocolate vanilla swirl. Cookie Crunch, please.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Some American towns, there's some towns in America that are
- 4:18Speaker 1: known for their one signature dish. And I couldn't think
- 4:21Speaker 1: of any when I saw the article until I started
- 4:23Speaker 1: reading everything. But it was like Buffalo Wings. Buffalo Wings
- 4:27Speaker 1: are for Buffalo, New York. Hatch Green Chili is from Hatch,
- 4:31Speaker 1: New Mexico. Garlic Ice Cream. That's from Gilroy, California.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Outside of San Francisco because they're big in the garlic there.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Maple Desserts featuring Vermont Maple Syrup from Bennington, Vermont. Grilled
- 4:44Speaker 1: bratwurst from Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Sheboygan.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And Cincinnati chili from Cincinnati, Ohio. I've had that. It's
- 4:50Speaker 1: freaking amazing. I can't think of anything else. I mean,
- 4:52Speaker 1: it was Arizona iced tea, but I don't think it's
- 4:54Speaker 1: from here. Well, I mean, a Sonoran hot dog from Tucson.
- 4:57Speaker 1: That's like the signature dish. Oh, it'd be from Sonora.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Right, right. I mean, you're saying something. Also, my hometown, St. Louis,
- 5:04Speaker 2: toasted ravioli. There you go. We've had those. What do
- 5:07Speaker 2: you got, Rich, for life hacks? All right.
- 5:08Speaker 4: This is mostly for Kyle's husband, Fish, and John Jay.
- 5:11Speaker 4: You ever see a cool gadget advertised on Instagram?
- 5:15Speaker 2: You're like, well, I just got to buy that. That
- 5:17Speaker 2: happens to him all the time.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Before you hit buy, just know that you're paying all
- 5:24Speaker 4: the money for that.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So here's what you do. Take one extra step, John
- 5:27Speaker 2: Jay and Fish.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Take a little screenshot and search for it using the
- 5:31Speaker 4: Google Lens because some social media stores sell the exact
- 5:34Speaker 4: same product For up to 80% less.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Wow. For me, it's not necessarily the price. It's the quality.
- 5:42Speaker 1: I bought one of those masks that's supposed to look
- 5:43Speaker 1: like a real person mask. You ever seen the videos
- 5:45Speaker 1: where the guy puts the mask on and everything's real?
- 5:47Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Oh, you have?
- 5:49Speaker 2: It was like $ 3.
- 5:49Speaker 3: 99.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it was terrible. How come you didn't bring that in?
- 5:52Speaker 2: We could use that for so many things. I think
- 5:53Speaker 2: I did it a couple years ago. I still have it.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Of course you do. Don't throw anything away. No.
- 5:57Speaker 3: All right.
- 5:58Speaker 2: That life hack and many more can be found at JohnGinRich.com.
