- 0:00Good morning, Welcome to the world of conscious positive
- 0:03thinking with MJ, where your thoughts become your power and
- 0:07your mindset becomes your compass.
- 0:09MJ is here to guide you through a journey of self-awareness,
- 0:12emotional mastery, and empowered living.
- 2:02Hello, hello, hello. Good morning, good morning.
- 2:06Today is July 13th, 2026. I want to say June, what is
- 2:13happening? It was like first we were in
- 2:17like I don't know, March and then June happened an hour in
- 2:21July. I just, I know it's how it goes,
- 2:23but I just can't believe how last time is actually just
- 2:27taking us on this beautiful spin.
- 2:30And what a what a awakening I had about a month ago and I
- 2:37finally have completed it. And we are going to do series,
- 2:43and the first series we're going to do is the consciousness of
- 2:49humanity. I decided, and thanks to one of
- 2:53my viewers that they said to me, MJ, have you ever thought about
- 2:59diving in into all the aspects and how that can help others?
- 3:05And I said it's funny because the philosophy of consciousness
- 3:10is about awareness, perspective, and about observing.
- 3:15And it's about understanding without judgement.
- 3:20So yeah, I, I have. So what I decided with the help
- 3:27of some friends is I went back in time because just like PTSD,
- 3:34we stack trauma, we stack things that we don't even know where
- 3:39that we stack them because our human ego is just let it be, let
- 3:44it be, let it go. But the problem is, is that it's
- 3:46the drip and it's another drip and it's another drip.
- 3:49That's another drip. Until then, here comes Misses
- 3:52Potts. And she just blows her cool or
- 3:54he just blows his cool because that drip is impeding.
- 3:57And we never balanced what it was to begin with.
- 4:00We kind of was like, well, you know, it's, you know, it's over
- 4:03there. Yeah, Right.
- 4:06So when we think like that, now we have to realize that
- 4:11different modalities, different energies, different people wake
- 4:15up to a reality of when did that happen.
- 4:22So welcome to my four part series of Consciousness of
- 4:26Humanity and I am very, very, very excited for this.
- 4:30Today is the art of entitlement because I'm sure you've heard
- 4:34some people lately going, why do they feel so entitled?
- 4:38How come they that's like entitlement.
- 4:41So it's not like it is. And we are all all to blame.
- 4:48If you want to say blame, I don't like the word blame.
- 4:50I like the word. We are all part of that event.
- 4:53If you grew up from the 1950s on, we are all part of that
- 4:56event and we're going to dive into that.
- 4:58But before we do that, you already know what happens on the
- 5:01beginning of my shows. We have to ask the angels, what
- 5:04does today bring and what does that mean?
- 5:06So today it is 071326. It results in A1 and it's so
- 5:16ironic because we're in a new moon of Cancer too, and we're in
- 5:20Mercury's retrograde and it's like, it's all, let's just start
- 5:24at the very beginning, right? The sea, Let's just start right
- 5:27there. So number one with the angels
- 5:30means that the angels urge you to put yourself first.
- 5:33It is very important to maintain your own personal energy levels
- 5:36to achieve perfect health and emotional well-being.
- 5:41With increased energy levels, you become a powerful
- 5:45individual. You will then be able to love
- 5:49and care for yourself and also others generously.
- 5:54Power Word of the day spotlight. Oh how beautiful is that?
- 6:01So if you have been working on something for so long and bada
- 6:05Bing here you. Are.
- 6:07Enjoy it. This is new birth, this energy
- 6:10of of new moons, especially the Super new moon of Cancer.
- 6:14Do it. Be in that spotlight.
- 6:16Get it out there. What's the worst that could
- 6:18happen? They're not ready for you.
- 6:21OK, then you move on to somebody who is now part of that number.
- 6:26Today is 32. It's really important to listen
- 6:29to your inner truth and to stay on course that you know is right
- 6:34for you. Don't be swayed by others
- 6:37opinions at this point in time. Trust your inner compass.
- 6:42To guide you. Perfectly along the path that
- 6:45you are destined to take. Courageously move ahead with
- 6:49that open heart. Don't allow others egos or
- 6:53judgments to interfere. Your Angel number also contains
- 6:56the number 26, and we love that 26.
- 6:58That is our year. The angels know that you feel
- 7:00empowered when you feel compassion for others.
- 7:03Now ask yourself to feel that seem compassion for yourself,
- 7:08because it's really important for you to say no to requests
- 7:11that make you feel uneasy. It's OK, there's probably
- 7:15another way. Trust these situations that are
- 7:19your body are these are your inner compasses.
- 7:23Now Angel #13 which is part of our numbers today.
- 7:28An ascension master is with you and they're going to deliver you
- 7:32some the answers that you have been requiring.
- 7:36You are to about to receive an ingenious load that will
- 7:39highlight a solution or steps necessary to shift a situation
- 7:44that has been stuck in problematic.
- 7:46A positive breakthrough is on the horizon.
- 7:49Be aware, observe it and go for it.
- 7:53Your Angel number contains #71 Fulfilling your soul's contract
- 7:57is paramount. God sends you the angels to you
- 8:00now so that you can focus on your life purpose and your
- 8:02unique gifts. It's time for you to shine in
- 8:06the world like you have never done before.
- 8:09The spotlight is going to shine down on you and you may be given
- 8:12opportunity to speak on stage within a a choir of people and
- 8:18in the interview or a podcast or a social media for example.
- 8:23Grasp any invitation with confidence and gratitude as a
- 8:27positive ripple effect of that engagement will be long felt for
- 8:32years to come. That is amazing, beautiful, and
- 8:37I'm just in awe because I am stepping out of my comfort zone
- 8:44of doing one show and trying to fill it all in and then try to
- 8:49hurry at the end. So today is my on the same MJ,
- 8:57but you're going to hear MJ as her Reverend of light side, her
- 9:02reverend of balance, what I do with everybody on a continuous
- 9:06basis. And for this, I am so thrilled
- 9:10to present to you the two cap presenting the world of
- 9:14conscious positive thinking, the consciousness of humanity.
- 9:17It is going to be a four part series.
- 9:19Today is episode 80, the age of entitlement, How society changed
- 9:27the human mind, heart and spirit.
- 9:31So good morning, You Beautiful souls, and let's start to dig
- 9:36in. But right after this short break
- 9:39and then we'll be right back and we're going to start diving.
- 9:41We're going to start pondering because my answer to my life
- 9:46purpose or my sole purpose journey.
- 9:48May not be. Yours as well, because we're all
- 9:52our individuals now. You're going to have to stay
- 9:55back and hold on until we come back from this beautiful little
- 9:59break. And then when we come back,
- 10:01let's dive into all that matters.
- 10:04Here we go. You've got this.
- 10:07Even if today feels tough, your best chapter is just around the
- 10:12pond. Whenever things get rough or it
- 10:16feels like you're at the edge, remember this.
- 10:19Storms pass. Tough times don't last, but
- 10:24tough people do. The station where our veterans
- 10:31voices are heard. MBR talk.
- 10:35Find us on the web at NB radio dot web.
- 10:39All right, that is our mascot. That is our mascot here at
- 10:44Military Broadcast radio. His name is Beaker.
- 10:47And I want you to know something today.
- 10:50Actually, it's going to go on, I think until August the 1st.
- 10:53We have a Golden Beaker. So we have sponsors.
- 10:57We're A501C3 here at Military Broadcast Radio and and as
- 11:02things in life always expand, here we are and we are looking
- 11:06for donations. The highest donations gets our
- 11:09golden beaker. I think he's about 5 inches.
- 11:12He's a pretty big beaker and he's so awfully cute.
- 11:15You can log on to MBR talk radio or you can do MB radio dot US on
- 11:22our app and you can see the beaker and you can see the our
- 11:25sponsors formats. And I love military broadcast
- 11:30radio for veterans because it allows veterans stories to be
- 11:34told. It allows them with no
- 11:36prejudice, no judgment to speak. And we hear all the family and,
- 11:43and we appreciate everybody who comes out and listens and to go
- 11:46to our events and so on and so forth.
- 11:49So that was the public service announcement.
- 11:53Now let's get back to the age of entitlement.
- 11:55Here we go. Thank you for always allowing
- 11:58me. First of all, in your home, in
- 12:00your office, your car, wherever you are listening right now, all
- 12:03these beautiful Monday mornings, wherever it finds you or maybe
- 12:07on delay and you just listen to Spotify or something as it goes.
- 12:12It's truly a blessing and an honor to share this time of the
- 12:16mornings with you. And I would give it up for the
- 12:19world. Today is especially meaningful
- 12:21because together we begin a brand new four part series
- 12:26entitled The Consciousness of Humanity.
- 12:30For over 2 years and 80 episodes, I've joined you and
- 12:34journeyed with you together, exploring awareness, exploring
- 12:37healing, balance, spirituality, and conscious positive thinking.
- 12:41But this morning we're going to begin another beautiful journey
- 12:45together. Before we begin that though, I
- 12:48want to share something really deeply personal with you.
- 12:51It's literally the foundation from which I live my own life.
- 12:56And the foundation from which every conversation that we share
- 13:01together will always begin. I believe we are spiritual
- 13:05beings living in a human experience.
- 13:08Throughout this beautiful journey, we experience countless
- 13:12human life events. Some events bring joy, some
- 13:18bring sorrow, some bring excitement, some bring
- 13:23confusion, some challenge. Every belief a system we thought
- 13:27we understood. Yet every event arrives carrying
- 13:33a lesson. And it's a lesson inviting us
- 13:37toward a greater awareness, a greater consciousness, greater
- 13:42compassion, greater understanding.
- 13:46And perhaps life never asked us to remain inside the event.
- 13:55We learn. From the events.
- 13:58We heal from the. Events We release the events
- 14:02with love and continue our journey carrying only the wisdom
- 14:08that it offers. Because.
- 14:11Every event is a classroom. Every classroom contains a
- 14:16lesson, and every lesson expands awareness.
- 14:21Awareness creates the understanding, and our
- 14:24understanding creates forgiveness.
- 14:28Forgiveness creates our healing, and our healing restores our
- 14:33balance. And.
- 14:34Balance. Always consciously.
- 14:39Goes. To evolvement.
- 14:42So. This is how I heal.
- 14:45This is how I vibe. This is how I clear my past
- 14:50events that become or form a pattern.
- 14:54And when they? Form a pattern, they're no good
- 14:56because then we're stuck in it. But the journey that we're going
- 14:59to take together throughout this series is different.
- 15:05This morning I'd like to. Invite you to do something with
- 15:09me. For the next. 90 minutes or so.
- 15:15Let's set certainty aside. Let's set opinions aside.
- 15:25Let's simply just become observers and listeners.
- 15:32Non observers searching for someone to blame.
- 15:36Observers searching for understanding.
- 15:40Because awareness is where every healing journey begins.
- 15:50So let me ask. You a question, and this is
- 15:53going to be from here on out on this station, I'm going to ask
- 15:57you a question for you to ponder.
- 15:59There's not a right or wrong answer.
- 16:01So our first question of this series is to ponder.
- 16:06When did gratitude quietly become expectation?
- 16:11I'm. Going to let you think.
- 16:15About that, going to say it again.
- 16:18When did gratitude quietly become expectation?
- 16:26That's an interesting. Question isn't it?
- 16:29Have you ever noticed? That.
- 16:32One honest question can open the doorway to 1000 more.
- 16:38I'm a. Why?
- 16:38Girl, why? Why, why, why?
- 16:40Why? If you know me, you know.
- 16:43I know it. Has for me because of my Why's
- 16:45I'm I'm such a why? So growing up in the. 60's, the
- 16:501970's, the 1980s and then eventually the 90s and onward.
- 16:55Life felt different, not perfect, not easier, different
- 17:02if someone. Moved.
- 17:03Family came. Friends came.
- 17:05Neighbors came. Somebody brought food.
- 17:08Somebody brought a truck. Somebody carried boxes.
- 17:11Somebody watched the children. If somebody became I'll, people
- 17:17simply showed up. If a.
- 17:19Fence needed repairing. Friends brought tools or wood.
- 17:25Nobody. Asked what's in it for me.
- 17:29Nobody asked. What am I going to get paid?
- 17:32Helping one. Another simply felt like.
- 17:35Part of being human, the humanities.
- 17:41Yet as the years passed, I slowly.
- 17:44Became aware that something was was changing and at 1st I
- 17:49believe perhaps it was simply my own experience and my own event.
- 17:53Maybe I wasn't communicating clearly.
- 17:56Maybe my expectations were. More or had changed maybe Maybe.
- 18:03It was it. It was me.
- 18:07And then as I. Sat and I started to ponder, and
- 18:10I started to go back. I smiled, because then I
- 18:14realized that was simply my ego attempting to answer a question
- 18:20before I even had gathered enough awareness of information
- 18:25to make such a statement. See what I just did there?
- 18:30So I stopped. Judging.
- 18:32And I started observing. I listened, I watched.
- 18:37I pay attention. I start researching.
- 18:42Not only to my own life, but to everyone around me.
- 18:46I noticed people asking more often for help and receiving
- 18:52less of it. The burdens, the struggles.
- 18:58I noticed. Families becoming smaller,
- 19:01communities becoming quieter, neighbors becoming strangers.
- 19:08The phrase do it yourself, DIY became almost a way of life.
- 19:15Even if you. Didn't have experience,
- 19:17knowledge or anybody to assist you to say take this way.
- 19:21Do XY and Z. You can still do it on your own,
- 19:24but where was that advice? Then I began.
- 19:28Hearing something else? And these?
- 19:31Words is where then it hurts. Into the chakras.
- 19:36Sorry I'm too busy. I've had too much going on
- 19:41lately and I just can't. My anxiety is just overwhelming.
- 19:46I simply. Don't have that emotional
- 19:48energy. I'm sorry it doesn't fit into my
- 19:52schedule. The more I.
- 19:58Observed. The more another question
- 20:01appeared to me, what happened? Not because I wanted someone to
- 20:08blame. Because.
- 20:11Every event. Has.
- 20:14An origin. Every pattern has a beginning,
- 20:17and every beginning leaves clues and every clue.
- 20:24Carries the possibility of understanding.
- 20:28So perhaps we're living through one of humanity's greatest
- 20:36classrooms. At first I want to say pattern.
- 20:41But it is. Humanities, and it is a
- 20:42classroom. Not as a.
- 20:45Punishment. Not a failure.
- 20:49A classroom. A classroom inviting us to
- 20:52become aware of something that we may have slowly lost along
- 20:59the way. Community service.
- 21:05Gratitude. Responsibility.
- 21:10Kindness connection, so this. Morning I invite you to journey
- 21:17with me. Together we're going to travel
- 21:21through psychology to. Understand.
- 21:24How entitlement develops. We're going to.
- 21:28Travel through history to observe what changed throughout
- 21:33the decades. We'll consider a metaphysical
- 21:39perspective of what these changes may symbolize.
- 21:46You know, to the evolution of consciousness.
- 21:52We'll reflect. Upon the spiritual wisdom hidden
- 21:55within every event and every moment, we'll explore the chakra
- 22:01systems as the symbolic map of awareness and healing.
- 22:06But most importantly. We'll ask.
- 22:09One simple question throughout this journey.
- 22:12What? Is this event teaching humanity?
- 22:19Pause on that. Understand that because when.
- 22:24We understand the lesson, then the event no longer defines us.
- 22:29The wisdom. Does so pour another cup of your
- 22:33coffee. Or whatever you're.
- 22:35Drinking this morning. Take a nice deep breath.
- 22:39Open your heart. Space.
- 22:41Open that mind. Space open up awareness.
- 22:45No. Judgement, no blame, and
- 22:49together let's begin our journey.
- 22:55Be right. Right back with you right after
- 22:57this. Whenever things get rough or it
- 23:08feels like you're at the edge, remember this.
- 23:12Storms pass. Tough times don't last, but
- 23:16tough people do. The station where our veterans
- 23:24voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 23:27For supporting our channel by watching and listening find.
- 23:31Us on the web at NB radio dot. Hey.
- 23:44Welcome back. Welcome back.
- 23:46OK, we are going into Chapter 1 of.
- 23:50Our art of entitlement and it's understanding the event OK so
- 23:59have you ever noticed that life rarely changes all at once it's
- 24:07like a drip into a big. Jar it changes.
- 24:11Quietly, one day at a time, one family at a time, one generation
- 24:21at a. Time and one life event at a
- 24:24time. If you watch a child every
- 24:27single day, you rarely notice how much they're growing.
- 24:32Walk away. For 10.
- 24:33Years at every turn, and you're amazed.
- 24:37You're like, Oh my goodness, what happened?
- 24:44And it's just. Baffling to the human mind of
- 24:47time, human consciousness grows in much that same way.
- 24:52Rarely do we. Notice the small little changes
- 24:56taking place while we're living them, one day at a time.
- 25:04It is only. After many years have passed
- 25:08that we suddenly stop, We look around and realize the world
- 25:12feels different. Not necessarily better, not
- 25:16necessarily worse. Simply.
- 25:21Different as I. Share.
- 25:31During. Our opening conversations, one
- 25:33of the first things I became aware of was my community, the
- 25:40willingness to simply help one another.
- 25:44Family. Helping family, neighbors,
- 25:46helping neighbors, friends showing up because someone
- 25:50needed another pair of hands. If someone.
- 25:53Was moving. People came.
- 25:54If somebody was ill, people brought meals.
- 25:56If a fence needed repairing, someone arrived with tools.
- 26:02No. Committee no contract.
- 26:05No. Expectations of anything in
- 26:07return. Just.
- 26:09Humanity helping one another simply felt like part.
- 26:15Of being. Human.
- 26:17As the years. Passed.
- 26:19I slowly became aware of another way of living.
- 26:22People became busier, communities became quieter,
- 26:27families became smaller, and our neighbors became strangers.
- 26:35Service becoming something we often purchased instead of
- 26:42sharing once I became aware of that shift.
- 26:46Another question quietly appeared.
- 26:49What happened? What and why?
- 26:53Right? What and why not?
- 26:55Because I desired someone to blame.
- 26:58Because every event has an origin, every pattern has a
- 27:05beginning, and every beginning leaves clues.
- 27:11Awareness. Allows us to discover.
- 27:13Those clues? One of the most.
- 27:17Beautiful gifts God has given each of us is the gift of
- 27:23awareness. Some people.
- 27:27Call it observing. Whatever you call it, awareness
- 27:33invites us to revisit an event, not to become trapped inside of
- 27:40it, yet to observe it. Through.
- 27:44Wiser. Matured.
- 27:46Eyes, have you ever? Experienced.
- 27:51What? Feels almost like a deja vu.
- 27:56A conversation, a memory, an old wound.
- 28:00Suddenly you understand something you never understood
- 28:03before. The event didn't change.
- 28:07Your answers did. And because.
- 28:12Your. Awareness.
- 28:13To those answers. That's what.
- 28:16Changed. You became aware.
- 28:20The lesson revealed itself. Perhaps this is just one of the
- 28:25greatest gifts of our soul, of our Akashics.
- 28:31To. Continually revisit life through
- 28:34greater wisdom. Until understanding replaces
- 28:38that confusion. This morning we're going to.
- 28:44Observe one particular event taking place within humanity.
- 28:49The event. Has been given a name
- 28:52entitlement. But before.
- 28:56We. Not a, but before, just before.
- 29:00There's no buts here. Before we explore where it came
- 29:03from, when it became more visible, or why it may have
- 29:09developed, let's first understand that the word, what
- 29:12the word actually means because language, words, tones, shapes
- 29:18all of our understanding. Psychology generally defines
- 29:24entitlement as the belief that a person deserves privileges,
- 29:28recognition, resources, opportunities, or special
- 29:33treatment without a corresponding responsibility,
- 29:36contribution, or effort. That is, in psychology, the
- 29:42definition of entitlement. Notice something very important
- 29:45about those words. I'm going to read it again.
- 29:47Psychology generally defines entitlement as a belief that a
- 29:51person deserves privileges, recognition, resources,
- 29:55opportunities, or special treatment without a
- 29:58corresponding responsibility, contribution, or effort.
- 30:04Did you notice? Something very important with
- 30:06that that definition says nothing about age, nothing about
- 30:13politics, nothing about religion.
- 30:17Nothing about wealth. Race nothing about one
- 30:22generation being than the other. Huh.
- 30:27Entitlement is not connected. To a birth.
- 30:31Year It is connected to a pattern of thinking by humanity,
- 30:36which means every human being possesses the capacity to
- 30:42experience entitlement at some point during their life.
- 30:48That. Realization changes our
- 30:50conversations drastically because now we're no longer
- 30:55talking about them. We're talking about humanity,
- 31:00we're talking about ourselves. Psychology teaches us something
- 31:10really fascinating, too. Healthy confidence quietly says
- 31:15I have value. Healthy.
- 31:18Self worth says I am worthy because I exist.
- 31:25Healthy. Responsibility says I create my
- 31:28future through my choices. Entitlement quietly whispers
- 31:35something differently. It says I deserve more.
- 31:42I shouldn't struggle, I shouldn't have to wait.
- 31:47Someone. Else should solve.
- 31:49This lots of demands, right? That we in that entitlement
- 31:55places notice how subtle these thoughts can become.
- 32:02Many people never realize they're even thinking them.
- 32:06They simply become part of their everyday life.
- 32:12What we think, what we say, it's the same thing.
- 32:17And then our energies, with our egos and our physical verbs, our
- 32:24words. Will then correlate to this.
- 32:30As I pondered that event over many years, another awareness
- 32:35gently came into my view. Awareness.
- 32:39I love it. Perhaps entitlement is not.
- 32:43The disease, Perhaps it's just a symptom.
- 32:48Wow, it's going deep. Psychologists often discover
- 32:55that underneath entitlement lives something much quieter.
- 33:01Fear, comparison, insecurity, unhealed emotional events, a
- 33:13longing. To feel valued, A longing to
- 33:17belong. Perhaps entitlement is less
- 33:21about arrogance and more about forgetting where our true value
- 33:26comes from. Think about that perhaps.
- 33:30Entitlement is less about arrogance and more about
- 33:35forgetting where our true value comes from.
- 33:41That question became very important to me because if
- 33:45entitlement is truly a symptom. Then.
- 33:49Our responsibility is not to judge the symptom.
- 33:55Our. Responsibility is to understand
- 33:57what gave birth to it. And only.
- 34:00Then can we heal that in the beginning?
- 34:04Again, going back to the PTSD, it's may not be.
- 34:08That event, that is why you can't let go.
- 34:10It's the stackable. The stackable events in your
- 34:13life, in the present life, or even in past life that stacked
- 34:18it into such a traumatic. Deep, deep pattern.
- 34:22We getting. Somewhere and now.
- 34:26I'm going to ask another question as we have our
- 34:29pondering hats on. Does history agree with us?
- 34:36Because. History has a remarkable way of
- 34:38revealing patterns that often remain hidden while we're.
- 34:44Living them. Wow, perhaps.
- 34:50What we're observing today didn't happen overnight.
- 34:56Nothing ever does. Not even a germination.
- 35:00Perhaps humanity has been quietly writing this story for
- 35:04decades. One family, one classroom, one
- 35:10neighborhood, one generation at a time.
- 35:15So let's let's journey back together.
- 35:18Let's go all the way back and allow history then to become our
- 35:23next teacher. We don't have.
- 35:26Libraries and Dewey decimals anymore.
- 35:28We do have computers, and sadly sometimes our computers.
- 35:33Give. Us an awareness of a perspective
- 35:38of others, a perspective that we didn't see when we were there.
- 35:44Sometimes. That perspective then becomes
- 35:47the awareness of the change of our minds.
- 35:51Think about that I'm going to give you.
- 35:58Something else to ponder, and I have this really bolded in my
- 36:02notes. History never repeats itself
- 36:06exactly. Human nature often.
- 36:10Does I'm going to let you. Think on that.
- 36:15I'm going to go take another break here real quick.
- 36:20We're going to go to a couple of new things that we have here
- 36:26and. When we come.
- 36:29Back, we're going to dive into Chapter 2.
- 36:32Does history really agree with us?
- 36:35Stay tuned, you've got. This.
- 36:38Even if today feels tough, your best chapter is just around the
- 36:42pond. Whenever things get rough or it
- 36:46feels like you're at the edge, remember this.
- 36:50Storms pass. Tough times don't last, but
- 36:54tough people do. The station where our veterans
- 37:00voices are heard MBR talk. Hey, thanks.
- 37:04For supporting our channel by watching and listening, find us
- 37:07on. The web at NB radio dot.
- 37:12Welcome to the live. That's a good.
- 37:14One, I love walking to the light.
- 37:15That's a really good song. OK.
- 37:18Chapter 2, We're going headed right into it.
- 37:21Does history agree with us? It's a big one before we.
- 37:27Begin our journey through history.
- 37:29I'd like to share another observation that I made.
- 37:32History is one of humanity's greatest teachers.
- 37:37History doesn't tell us what to believe.
- 37:41History reveals events that took place.
- 37:46They could. Be events of courage.
- 37:48Events. Of fear.
- 37:50Events. Of faith events of suffrage.
- 37:53Events of triumph. Events that change the direction
- 37:58of humanity. When we observe those events
- 38:03honestly, they begin to reveal patterns I love.
- 38:08This so much because this is not to place blame, this is not to
- 38:14justify any I knew I was right type of attitude not to condemn.
- 38:20It's to understand. We had that.
- 38:24Debacle with Christopher Columbus.
- 38:26They made judgment and an era that none of us here on this
- 38:33planet could even fathom what was happening right so.
- 38:41When we observe and we're honest about observing, we don't cast
- 38:48judgment, however. However, when we heal.
- 38:55Our own personal issues we talk about oh, you're in a pattern on
- 38:58personal. So if I clear.
- 39:01My own pattern. How do we?
- 39:03Clear humanity. Because.
- 39:07Humanity goes through patterns. Have you ever heard somebody
- 39:10state, oh, fashion comes back like every 40 years, every 20
- 39:14years, right thing. History repeats itself.
- 39:18Does history repeat itself? I.
- 39:22I think. It does when humanity.
- 39:27Clears its. Patterns.
- 39:29Then it. Can't because.
- 39:31As a whole, we've already healed it.
- 39:34I'm. Going to go.
- 39:36On ponder on that though. There's an.
- 39:41Old saying those who do not learn from history are destined
- 39:45to repeat it. I'd like to.
- 39:48Ponder on that Hut for a moment. Because history doesn't repeat
- 39:52itself exactly. Human nature repeats it.
- 39:56Because they haven't learned to balance.
- 39:58See the difference? Generation after generation,
- 40:02humanity continues searching for many of the same things.
- 40:05Peace, security, acceptance. Purpose.
- 40:10Love belonging only the environment around the human
- 40:17changes when we think. We have a grasp on something and
- 40:22we think we had learned something.
- 40:26That next energetic wave comes in where the environment changes
- 40:30a little bit and now we're like, wait, what happened here?
- 40:34There's your deja Vu's. I'm thinking, I'm living this
- 40:36again. Nope.
- 40:37I think you're living it because you needed to correct something
- 40:40as a multi dimensional being or God is helping you.
- 40:44You could take anything that you want.
- 40:46But is there to understand that the environment around the
- 40:50situation changed the language, didn't change the verbiage,
- 40:54didn't change the action? Didn't change, but the
- 40:57environment of which. It was changed.
- 41:03That's that's deep, right? One question.
- 41:06I ponder yet for many years is this Do generations create
- 41:11themselves? Or does the?
- 41:13Environment create the generation.
- 41:15How do? Generations come to be.
- 41:19Think about. That that's a that's a deep
- 41:20question. You see?
- 41:22Why it took me almost a month to create this that?
- 41:25I. Go down the I go down what I
- 41:27call the pondering rabbit hole. The why, girl, the why and why
- 41:30and the why and the wise and the wise and the wise and the wise.
- 41:33Trust me, my family goes Oh my God, stop, right?
- 41:36But no. The whys are to ponder.
- 41:39If we ponder about humanity and we ponder about the changes and
- 41:42where they took place, and then then we watch the facts
- 41:46happening without judgement or without division, they're like,
- 41:51Oh my goodness, so think about your own life.
- 41:55Every one of us has been influenced by our parents, our
- 41:59teachers, our friends, our faith, our schools, our books.
- 42:05Television, music, technology, government, economics, culture.
- 42:10I could The list can go on. It all wraps.
- 42:13Around what we know, how we know it, how we perceive it, and how
- 42:18we move forward with it. None of us.
- 42:22Develops in in an isolation. We're humans, we were not meant
- 42:25to be in isolation. We are constantly.
- 42:28Responding to the world around us and that awareness change the
- 42:34way that I viewed humanity perhaps on there's no generation
- 42:39intentionally creating an imbalance like.
- 42:44Some. Might want to think perhaps
- 42:47every generation sincerely attempted to solve the events
- 42:53inherited from the generation before it.
- 42:57Have you ever? Seen the the the meme where the
- 43:00great grandmother has a rock and it passes it to the grandmother
- 43:03and the rock of the grandmother passes it to the mother and the
- 43:06and the mother passes it then down to the child.
- 43:09And then that child shuts down and sets down that rock and
- 43:13picks up a beautiful array of flowers and puts it on the
- 43:18grandchild. That's.
- 43:21Generational. That's the generations of hating
- 43:25the pattern of taking these patterns from the generation
- 43:28prior before it. So perhaps.
- 43:33There's no generation then intentionally that created the
- 43:36imbalance. Perhaps every generation
- 43:39sincerely attempted to solve the events inherited from the
- 43:43generation before it. And sometimes those solutions
- 43:47create beautiful progress. And sometimes those same
- 43:51solutions create new events that future generations then are
- 43:57invited to understand and heal and to solve.
- 44:02That. Is the beautiful rhythm of
- 44:05humanities. And pause the beautiful.
- 44:12Rhythm of humanities. We're going to travel.
- 44:16Back we are. We have to.
- 44:19We have to. We get to.
- 44:22We. Get to to try to understand how
- 44:25to help humanities. So let's go back together the
- 44:30years following World War 2. Imagine being that young parent
- 44:37during those years. The Great Depression had taken
- 44:41everything from the families as well as the Spanish Flu, World
- 44:45War 2, and that was World War One.
- 44:48World War 2 then broke out, taken our sons, our daughters,
- 44:55our husbands, our wives. Our friends entire.
- 45:00Nations carried grief. Unlike.
- 45:03Anything. Most of us.
- 45:05Have ever experienced people longed for stability.
- 45:11They longed for peace, opportunity, family, a home and
- 45:18a future. Can you?
- 45:20Imagine that desire. Of course you can.
- 45:25It came from. Love.
- 45:27Came from our. Heart.
- 45:31The 19. 50s became an era of rebuilding.
- 45:36Families. Worked.
- 45:38Very hard communities. Grew.
- 45:40Churches were full, neighborhoods expanded.
- 45:44Children played outside until the street light came on.
- 45:48Responsibility mattered. Respect mattered.
- 45:52Delayed. Gratification mattered
- 45:55contributing to the family. Mattered every generation.
- 46:01Develops strengths through the events that it experiences.
- 46:06This generation developed resilience.
- 46:10Sacrifice. Commitment and.
- 46:13Perseverance. Those.
- 46:15Strengths became the foundation upon.
- 46:20Which future generations would build upon then something.
- 46:27Beautiful happened. Parents quietly looked.
- 46:34At their children and made a promise my children will
- 46:38experience opportunities I never had.
- 46:42There is something. Wrong with that promise.
- 46:45In fact, it is one. Of the greatest expressions of
- 46:49love you could have ever imagined.
- 46:52Every loving parent desires life to.
- 46:56Become a little bit easier for the next generation.
- 47:01That is how humanity progresses. Yet history gently asks another
- 47:11question. Can every strength, when carried
- 47:18beyond balance, become the beginning of another event?
- 47:27Can protection slowly become overprotection?
- 47:34Can comfort slowly reduce resilience?
- 47:41Can abundance slow, slowly diminish gratitude, and can
- 47:48recognition slowly replace? Perseverance.
- 47:55Not because anyone intended it. Because balance is delicate.
- 48:05Where there's no balance, there is chaos. 1.
- 48:12Observation continues returning to me.
- 48:16Nearly every movement throughout history begins with sincere
- 48:23intentions. Parents.
- 48:26Wanted healthier children. Teachers.
- 48:29Wanted greater opportunity. Psychologists wanted stronger
- 48:34self worth. Communities.
- 48:37Wanted greater inclusion. Governments wanted solutions.
- 48:43Most people generally desired a better future.
- 48:48The deeper question isn't whether the intention was
- 48:51loving. The deeper question is this, Did
- 48:55the event remain in balance? Because.
- 49:02Once balance is lost, another event quickly begins and
- 49:08humanity once again enters a new classroom.
- 49:13For that event as a student of. Life.
- 49:20I have become aware that every event offers 2 paths. 1 path
- 49:30moves us toward greater awareness, the other moves us
- 49:35away from it. Neither path is permanent.
- 49:39Awareness gives us the freedom to choose again, whether to
- 49:44learn, to heal, to restore balance.
- 49:50Not to me is one of God's greatest gifts of humanity.
- 49:54Free will so. Does history agree with us?
- 50:03Let's go back to that question. I.
- 50:06Believe history is beginning to whisper.
- 50:10The question is, are we listening?
- 50:16Let's continue the journey into our next stop.
- 50:19We're going to go into the 1970s.
- 50:22That was a. Decade that quietly introduced
- 50:26new. Ways.
- 50:26Of thinking about parenting education psychology.
- 50:33And. Human potential.
- 50:36Let's observe. Those events now together as we
- 50:39move into our chapter, our next chapter.
- 50:43It's the 19. 70's the fundamentals of becoming.
- 50:48So as we continue. That journey through history
- 50:55from. World War One, World War 2, the
- 50:5750's, the 60s. I'd like to share.
- 51:01Something really personal. Again, every generation
- 51:04experiences the same decade differently.
- 51:09A parent experiences it differently than a child, a
- 51:13teacher differently than a student.
- 51:17And a business. Owner differently than an
- 51:20employee. Our life.
- 51:22Events shape what we remember or what.
- 51:29That life. Event that we were going
- 51:31through. So what I'm about to share?
- 51:35Isn't everyone's experience, it's mine.
- 51:39This is what I took by growing. Up in the 70s.
- 51:42I remember. Something very different than
- 51:45many history books want to describe.
- 51:48I remember school pride community.
- 51:51Pride. Neighborhood pride.
- 51:53I remember teachers who challenged us to believe we
- 51:58could accomplish more than we could even imagine.
- 52:10I remember healthy. Competitions.
- 52:12Not. Competition to make somebody
- 52:14else lose. Competition that inspired us to
- 52:19become a better version of ourselves.
- 52:22I remember. Encouragement, I remember.
- 52:25Having support, I remember having laughter, I remember
- 52:29teamwork, I remember exploration, I remember
- 52:32creativity and I remember gathering on a hill for.
- 52:38The last. 4 hours until it turned dark.
- 52:42Playing with no. Fear.
- 52:45With no. Adult.
- 52:48Free will I remember. Learning the fundamentals of
- 52:52becoming responsible. Respect.
- 52:56Keeping my word. Helping others, working hard,
- 53:01taking pride in doing something so well and being accountable
- 53:06looking back. I realized in the 1970s those
- 53:09those weren't simply childhood memories.
- 53:13They became the foundation upon which I built my life.
- 53:18And today, I believe confidence grows through the support that
- 53:23we receive while experiencing life, that life, that classroom,
- 53:27right? And our experience is now our
- 53:30parents, our grandparents, our teachers, our coaches, our
- 53:33neighbors, our friends, our community, da da, da, the same,
- 53:36the same list. So.
- 53:38Sometimes another person sees something within us long before
- 53:45we even recognized it ourselves. Plausible that encouragement
- 53:53gives us the confidence to spread our wings and discover
- 53:56that we were capable of becoming.
- 54:00For me, those were just some of the most beautiful gifts in my
- 54:05human form. Life in the 1970s.
- 54:11Yeah, there was probably. Some bad times, but there were
- 54:14more good times. Right.
- 54:16And sometimes when I look at bad times, were they bad?
- 54:19No, they were just lessons that one has to go through in order
- 54:25to stay on a higher road or a more conscious awareness.
- 54:29Rd. for all the acclimates or the accolades that I just
- 54:34mentioned. So, but as I grew.
- 54:37Older, I also became aware that while children were busy
- 54:41becoming. Adults.
- 54:43Were busy navigating enormous changes.
- 54:48Changes that as a child my parents didn't hide but flowed.
- 54:55They flowed through these events.
- 54:58Without me. Really understanding that
- 55:01difficulty. History.
- 55:05Reminds us that children and adults often experience the very
- 55:08same decade. Through.
- 55:10Completely different eyes. Adults were rebuilding families,
- 55:17questioning institutions, navigating economic uncertainty.
- 55:24Exploring. New ideas in psychology.
- 55:27Exploring. New ideas in education searching
- 55:31for healthier ways to understand the human experience.
- 55:36Society sincerely wanted to solve problems.
- 55:40That desire came from compassion.
- 55:43That desire. Came from love.
- 55:49As the awareness of a of child abuse, child neglect, domestic
- 55:54violence and missing children increased, communities
- 55:59responded. New conversations began.
- 56:03New laws were introduced. Child protection services
- 56:06expanded. Mental health became a more
- 56:10visible part of public discussion.
- 56:14These events didn't necessarily mean that these problems had
- 56:18suddenly appeared. Humanity had become more aware
- 56:23of them. So awareness is often the first
- 56:27step toward healing. It's funny because.
- 56:33Awareness brings you into conscious positive.
- 56:36Thinking it's the. Awareness if we don't have
- 56:39awareness. We can't heal so.
- 56:44Toward the end of that decade, another event quickly entered
- 56:47many homes. Technology.
- 56:51Many of us. Remember it?
- 56:52The Atari it was exciting, it was innovative, it was fun.
- 56:57No one imagined that they were witnessing the beginning of a
- 57:01relationship with technology that would then continue
- 57:05expanding for generations to come.
- 57:08Beyond the Atari imagination, children still played outside.
- 57:14Neighborhood baseball. Games still happened.
- 57:18Football, right? Bicycles.
- 57:21Still filled our streets, the sides of our streets.
- 57:24He always knew where the gathering was.
- 57:26All the bicycles were in front of the house.
- 57:29Never to be. Left out.
- 57:31Skating rinks. Were always the gatherings on
- 57:33Wednesdays and Sunday nights, families still gathered around
- 57:37the dinner table and they had a meal together.
- 57:41Yet yet another. Event had quietly begun.
- 57:47Entertainment slowly started moving indoors.
- 57:50Attention slowly began changing. Not right, not wrong.
- 57:56Simply. Another event inviting humanity
- 58:00into another lesson. As I reflect.
- 58:05On the 1970s today, I don't remember a decade of fear.
- 58:09I remember a decade of becoming, a decade that gave many of us
- 58:15confidence, direction, community, dreams.
- 58:20It was a belief. That hard work mattered.
- 58:23A belief that serving one another mattered.
- 58:26It was a belief that tomorrow could become better than today.
- 58:33What great, great beliefs. Those gifts deserve all to be
- 58:39honored and respected. Every decade leaves.
- 58:47Humanity with gifts and every decade also leaves humanity.
- 58:53With new events to understand the why, the purpose isn't to.
- 59:01Judge that decade the. Purpose is to learn from it, to
- 59:06become aware, to ask did the events remain in balance?
- 59:14Because when balance quietly shifts, humanity quietly changes
- 59:20with it. If the 19. 70s taught us the
- 59:28fundamentals of becoming well. What happened during the 1980s?
- 59:35That. Began changing the way humanity
- 59:40defined success. Wow, that's a.
- 59:45Journey. Now we got to.
- 59:46Take that journey together. So we can get.
- 59:49To today, so I'm going to take another break.
- 59:53You're listening to the world of conscious positive thinking.
- 59:56We are on a four part series. This is series #1 the art of
- 59:59entitlement to the series of the consciousness of Humanity.
- 1:00:03You're listening to it on the MB radio dot US, where veterans
- 1:00:07always have a voice. They get to tell their stories.
- 1:00:11And. We are.
- 1:00:13Here to help others create balance or to create.
- 1:00:18Awareness that you're not alone, and for that we thank you for
- 1:00:22visiting, watching and staying with us.
- 1:00:25And now you got to. Take a break, folks.
- 1:00:27I'm going to. We're going to play another
- 1:00:32round of Beakers, and then we're going to proceed into Chapter 4,
- 1:00:37the 1980s, when success found a new direction.
- 1:00:40We'll be right back. Even.
- 1:00:43Ducks know the calmest waters come after the storm, whenever.
- 1:00:48Things get rough or it feels like you're at the edge.
- 1:00:52Remember this. Storms pass.
- 1:00:56Tough times don't last, but tough people do.
- 1:01:00The station where our veterans voices are heard MBR talk.
- 1:01:06Hey, thanks. For supporting our channel by
- 1:01:08watching and listening, find us. On the web at NB Radio Duck.
- 1:01:22Hi, we're back. OK.
- 1:01:26So have you started to see this pattern forming?
- 1:01:28Have you start pondering about the balancing of different
- 1:01:33things coming into our families, into our friends, our
- 1:01:36neighborhoods, technology. Now we're gonna get really
- 1:01:39technology. And here comes the 1980s, right?
- 1:01:42When success really found a new definition.
- 1:01:46So in this. In the 19. 70s It taught us that
- 1:01:52the fundamentals are becoming right.
- 1:01:55Everything was becoming. But in the 19. 80s not but.
- 1:02:00Yet. The 1980s introduced many of us
- 1:02:04to the pursuit of becoming successful.
- 1:02:09For many. This was like really an exciting
- 1:02:12decade. The innovation accelerated,
- 1:02:15businesses expanded, technology continued advancing and cable
- 1:02:21television, Cable, FTV here we go.
- 1:02:25Cable television entered more homes.
- 1:02:30Personal. Computers quietly began
- 1:02:32appearing in our schools and our businesses, and eventually our
- 1:02:37homes. America.
- 1:02:40Believed almost anything was possible and in many ways.
- 1:02:44It's true. It was growing into my.
- 1:02:49Teenage years In early adulthood, I remember feeling
- 1:02:52motivated, inspired, couldn't wait to see what the world
- 1:02:56holds. The message surrounding many of
- 1:03:00us was simple. Work hard, dream big, take
- 1:03:05chances and create your future. Success wasn't something
- 1:03:10somebody handed you, never was. It was something that you
- 1:03:14earned. That.
- 1:03:15Message inspired entrepreneurs, inventors, tradesmen,
- 1:03:21professionals, leaders, dreamers.
- 1:03:25There was a tremendous beauty in that mindset.
- 1:03:29With that. Mindset.
- 1:03:31We could reach the stars, we could reach beyond the galaxies.
- 1:03:35It was. It was the thought process of
- 1:03:38the 1980s. That truly, if we wanted it.
- 1:03:42We would make it happen. It encouraged responsibility,
- 1:03:48discipline, goal setting and perseverance.
- 1:03:52Those are really. Beautiful gifts, they deserve to
- 1:03:55be honored and respected. Yet.
- 1:04:01Every event invites another question to ponder.
- 1:04:05Did the event remain in balance? That seems to.
- 1:04:12Get a theme right. Balance.
- 1:04:16As. Opportunity expanded.
- 1:04:18Another quiet event expanded Within it.
- 1:04:24Consumerism, Advertising, marketing.
- 1:04:29The message slowly began changing.
- 1:04:33It wasn't only what can you become, it also became what can
- 1:04:39you own? What can you buy, what image do
- 1:04:43you present, and what does success look like?
- 1:04:49Success. Slowly became connected to
- 1:04:51possessions, statuses, income recognition.
- 1:04:56An appearance. It was the age of being like the
- 1:05:04Joneses. Did you ever hear that, that
- 1:05:06sage? Just like the.
- 1:05:07Joneses not right. It's not wrong or not to judge.
- 1:05:13Simply be aware of another event taking place in humanity.
- 1:05:24Another. Conversation that quietly
- 1:05:27entered our awareness was the influence of media.
- 1:05:33Television. Programming expanded.
- 1:05:35Music. Videos became part of everyday
- 1:05:39culture. Advertising became increasingly
- 1:05:43sophisticated. Many parents, educators,
- 1:05:47researchers, and religious communities began asking
- 1:05:50questions about the influence media could have upon our
- 1:05:55thoughts, emotions, and desires. Folks, this is the 1980s I'm.
- 1:06:03Going to read that again. 1980s The questions.
- 1:06:11Of the influence of media could have upon our thoughts, our
- 1:06:18emotions, and our desires. The famous.
- 1:06:22Stories of subliminal advertising had actually began
- 1:06:25decades earlier. But to the.
- 1:06:27Awareness. The 80s caught it.
- 1:06:30Although. Many of the dramatic claims were
- 1:06:32never scientifically confirmed. They awakened an important
- 1:06:36awareness. Can.
- 1:06:38Repeated images such as music, words, emotions and advertising
- 1:06:43influence the desires of our mind without us fully
- 1:06:46recognizing it. Because we.
- 1:06:49Are within. The humanity we are within the
- 1:06:53event we are within that decade, perhaps.
- 1:06:59The greater lesson wasn't hidden messages.
- 1:07:04Perhaps it was becoming aware of how powerfully our attention was
- 1:07:12being shipped. Toward the end.
- 1:07:19Of the decade, technology continued moving into our homes.
- 1:07:23Many of us remember Atari. Then we had Nintendo.
- 1:07:28Entertainment was exciting. Innovative fun.
- 1:07:33Yet children still played. Outside still had sports.
- 1:07:37Outside still had gatherings. Outside neighborhood games still
- 1:07:42happened. Families still gathered for
- 1:07:45reunions and picnics. And yet another event quietly
- 1:07:50just began in the background Entertainment.
- 1:07:55Slowly started moving indoors. Attention slowly began changing.
- 1:08:01Habits slowly began changing. It was a new.
- 1:08:07Video on MTV that took over our explorations on the Creek.
- 1:08:13It was the new. Sitcoms that came out.
- 1:08:16That took. Over our nightly games outside
- 1:08:19to play football or volleyball. Or jumping.
- 1:08:22And playing in trees and leaves. Attention.
- 1:08:27Slowly began changing habits. Slowly began changing.
- 1:08:32Not. Because anyone intended harm.
- 1:08:35Because humanity was evolving alongside of technology.
- 1:08:45Family life also continued evolving.
- 1:08:48More households depended upon 2 incomes.
- 1:08:53Child care expanded. Preschool.
- 1:08:55Programs became increasingly common.
- 1:08:59Children. Spent more time learning from
- 1:09:01teachers, caregivers and coaches than from their own parents.
- 1:09:07So our. Ancestral values changed.
- 1:09:10As. Humanity changed.
- 1:09:14Parents worked hard to provide opportunities they.
- 1:09:19Themselves may never have experienced, but again, this
- 1:09:24came from love. Yet another awareness quietly
- 1:09:28started emerging. As schedules became fuller,
- 1:09:33families often spent less unstructured time together with
- 1:09:37their children. Not every.
- 1:09:39Family, but many remained deeply because there was some that
- 1:09:43remained that connection. History.
- 1:09:47Simply invites us to observe another event.
- 1:09:54Looking back through. History.
- 1:09:57Another phrase really comes to my mind and.
- 1:10:03It's a big one. It's not just in this decade.
- 1:10:08It was in. Several of them.
- 1:10:10Children are to be seen and not heard.
- 1:10:13That saying existed long before the 80s.
- 1:10:16Many generations heard those words.
- 1:10:18Not every family embraced that philosophy.
- 1:10:22Many parents listened deeply to their children.
- 1:10:25Others believed children demonstrated respect by
- 1:10:28remaining quiet while adults spoke.
- 1:10:32Their voice. Was not to be heard.
- 1:10:36For maybe. They didn't have the wisdom.
- 1:10:38Maybe they didn't have a balance.
- 1:10:42Whatever the. Case Today Psychology reminds us
- 1:10:45that children benefit from expressing thoughts and
- 1:10:50emotions. In healthy.
- 1:10:52Ways from a spiritual perspective.
- 1:10:57I ponder another awareness here. All right, flipping, flipping
- 1:11:01those patterns. Communication is part of our
- 1:11:05human development. Learning when to speak.
- 1:11:10Learning when to listen and learning to express truth with
- 1:11:14kindness. Perhaps.
- 1:11:16Balance was always the invitation, it just wasn't
- 1:11:20taught in the classroom. Plausible.
- 1:11:26Respect and expression were. Never.
- 1:11:29Meant to compete with one another.
- 1:11:32They were meant to grow together, to honor how we feel,
- 1:11:38to honor. Our questions as I.
- 1:11:45As I literally reflect upon those those 1980s.
- 1:11:49Today I don't. See a decade that lost its way.
- 1:11:54I see a decade moving very quickly.
- 1:11:59Technology accelerated at a high rate of speed.
- 1:12:02Businesses accelerated at a high rate of speed.
- 1:12:04Medicine advanced. Entertainment accelerated.
- 1:12:07Advertising accelerated. Life itself accelerated.
- 1:12:11Things were moving rapidly. Hard to keep.
- 1:12:14Up especially with having two jobs, having a fuller family,
- 1:12:19having fuller things happening. Many beautiful.
- 1:12:22Opportunities were really created.
- 1:12:25Many beautiful dreams became reality.
- 1:12:28Many. Families flourished.
- 1:12:31Many millionaires were made. Many people discovered talents
- 1:12:35they never knew that they possessed.
- 1:12:38Those gifts deserve to be honored.
- 1:12:43Always an honoree. At the same time, history
- 1:12:51quietly reminds us every. Acceleration changes human
- 1:12:57consciousness. The faster we move, the easier
- 1:13:04it becomes to lose awareness of why we began moving in the first
- 1:13:10place. Perhaps that was one of
- 1:13:14humanity's greatest events was during the 1980s.
- 1:13:19Not success itself, the speed of which success was being pursued.
- 1:13:30Then another remarkable event. Took place the Berlin.
- 1:13:36Wall fell. One of the.
- 1:13:38Great symbols of division came down.
- 1:13:42Many believed humanity was entering a new era.
- 1:13:46The cold. War was drawing to a close.
- 1:13:49The world. Appeared.
- 1:13:50Smaller communication became easier.
- 1:13:54Technology was preparing to connect humanity in ways never
- 1:14:00before imagined. You realized those same
- 1:14:07technologies would eventually reshape identity, community,
- 1:14:15family, education, and even the way we understood ourselves.
- 1:14:24The stage? Literally.
- 1:14:26Had quietly been set. And we weren't.
- 1:14:29Even aware of it, the question was no longer can I become
- 1:14:34successful? The new question was beginning
- 1:14:38to emerge. What do I deserve?
- 1:14:44And perhaps that question became.
- 1:14:47One of the defining events leading into the 1990s.
- 1:14:53So we got to. Journey the 90s together.
- 1:14:55Let's do it. Let's keep going in our chapter.
- 1:14:595 of this series. Of the art.
- 1:15:02Of entitlement, 1990's The Age of the Individual.
- 1:15:09The 19. 90s did not simply become another decade.
- 1:15:13They. Became the beginning of an
- 1:15:15entirely different world as we know it through humanities.
- 1:15:21For thousands of years, humanity lived within communities.
- 1:15:25Neighborhoods, churches, schools, families, Relationships
- 1:15:29were primarily local. Influence was local.
- 1:15:35Identity was largely shaped by the people physically
- 1:15:40surrounding us. Then, oh, then the world became
- 1:15:47connected in ways man couldn't even understand.
- 1:15:54The Internet quietly entered our.
- 1:15:57Homes. Cell phones entered our hands
- 1:16:02and began appearing cable television had expanded to.
- 1:16:08International programming. The 24 hour news cycles have
- 1:16:13arrived. Information was no longer
- 1:16:16something we searched for. Information began searching for
- 1:16:21us. Humanity had never experienced
- 1:16:26anything quite like. The 1990s Think about it As
- 1:16:39communication expanded, so did. Comparison For thousands of
- 1:16:45years, we compared ourselves to our neighbors.
- 1:16:48Being like. The Jones now we could compare
- 1:16:53ourselves to the entire world think about that ego our.
- 1:17:02Minds evolved over thousands of years to live within tribes and
- 1:17:08communities. Almost.
- 1:17:10Overnight. Those same.
- 1:17:13Minds were exposed to millions of opinions.
- 1:17:16Millions. Of.
- 1:17:17Lifestyles, millions of opportunities and millions of
- 1:17:20comparison. But thou shalt.
- 1:17:22Not judge others or ourselves. History.
- 1:17:29Had quietly introduced another event.
- 1:17:36Comparison had become global. Psychologist began observing
- 1:17:46another shift, conversations about self esteem.
- 1:17:53Continued. To expand.
- 1:17:55Schools explored. New ways to encourage children
- 1:18:00recognition became increasingly important.
- 1:18:05Participation was celebrated more broadly in many
- 1:18:09communities. Parents.
- 1:18:13Sincerely. Desired.
- 1:18:15Their children. To feel accepted.
- 1:18:18Teachers. Sincerely desired children to
- 1:18:20believe in themselves. Community Sincerely desired
- 1:18:26children to succeed. Those.
- 1:18:29Desires came from love. They came.
- 1:18:33From Compassion, they came from wanting children to avoid
- 1:18:38unnecessarily emotional pains. That was before it.
- 1:18:46Yet awareness quietly ask another question to ponder.
- 1:18:55Did the event. Remain in balance.
- 1:19:02Confidence. Grows through encouragement.
- 1:19:06Confidence. Grows through support.
- 1:19:10Confidence also grows through responsibility, perseverance.
- 1:19:17Failure, learning, trying. Again, success and
- 1:19:23disappointment were never meant to be enemies.
- 1:19:27Together they build. Wisdom.
- 1:19:35Another event quietly entered our family life in the 1990s.
- 1:19:40Children became increasingly scheduled sports lessons,
- 1:19:47activities, programs before school care, after school care.
- 1:19:52Parents worked harder than ever before to provide opportunities
- 1:19:55they themselves may have never experienced and they had never
- 1:19:58had yet through love. They wanted.
- 1:20:02To give it to their own children.
- 1:20:05Yet another. Awareness quietly was emerging.
- 1:20:09As schedules. Became fuller.
- 1:20:11Our family. Spent less unstructured time
- 1:20:14together. Not every family.
- 1:20:19Some. Remain deeply connected, but
- 1:20:21historically simple. History simply invites us to
- 1:20:24observe the events of our fast food chains.
- 1:20:30Getting. Something quick to eat to
- 1:20:32satisfy the hunger in order for the event to go on.
- 1:20:37There was no. More time of patience or peace
- 1:20:42at a table. It was a.
- 1:20:46Time of hustle and bustle. It was a time that our schedules
- 1:20:51were so full of wanting from love, the best for our children
- 1:20:57that we never had. And yet, hit her we are.
- 1:21:03History simply inviting us to observe another lesson, another
- 1:21:10event. For me, the 1990s were also
- 1:21:14experienced through another lens.
- 1:21:16Children. Military service, duty,
- 1:21:18sacrifice. Trying to figure.
- 1:21:21Out who I've become outside of the military, prepping for
- 1:21:26Desert Storm. Living.
- 1:21:28With disabilities. These events.
- 1:21:31Forever change the way I viewed freedom.
- 1:21:34How I viewed free will. How I viewed humanity.
- 1:21:39While much of. America embraced prosperity and
- 1:21:43technological advancement. Our.
- 1:21:45Military remained vigilant. The world.
- 1:21:49Had not suddenly become peaceful.
- 1:21:52The Gulf. War reminded us that conflict
- 1:21:55still exists. International tensions,
- 1:21:58continued act of terrorism around the world reminded us the
- 1:22:03freedom is never something that we simply inherit.
- 1:22:08It is something. Generations have continuously
- 1:22:11protected. Those.
- 1:22:14Events became part of my awareness.
- 1:22:18They reminded me that while society was changing at home,
- 1:22:23others were standing watch abroad.
- 1:22:29The roots of that awareness reached back even further.
- 1:22:34The Iranian Revolution, the hostage crisis, the continuing
- 1:22:40tensions between the United States and the revolutionary
- 1:22:42government of Iran. As a student.
- 1:22:46Of history, I believe it was important to speak with
- 1:22:51precision. I am not speaking about an an
- 1:22:55entire people. I am speaking about an ancient
- 1:23:00culture. I'm.
- 1:23:02Speaking. About governments, extremist
- 1:23:05organizations. And leaders.
- 1:23:08Who choose violence against innocent human beings of
- 1:23:12humanity. There is a.
- 1:23:14Huge difference. Truth requires discernment.
- 1:23:21Compassion requires discernment spiritually, I believe.
- 1:23:30Any force that seeks to destruction of innocent life has
- 1:23:36moved away from divine balance. As a Reverend of Light, I place
- 1:23:41those forces under the protection and authority of
- 1:23:45Saint Michael and his divine army.
- 1:23:48Not from hatred, from protection.
- 1:23:52Not seeking revenge, seeking the restoration.
- 1:23:56Of peace as I pondered. The 90s I don't believe
- 1:24:04entitlement suddenly appeared. I believe.
- 1:24:09The environment surrounding humanity changed dramatically.
- 1:24:16History. Reminds us that human beings
- 1:24:19adapt remarkably well. The deeper.
- 1:24:23Question that becomes. To what were we adapting and did
- 1:24:34we remain? Balanced while adapting.
- 1:24:38That's a long pause. Yeah, the 19. 90s asked humanity
- 1:24:49a question. Who are you?
- 1:24:52The next. Decade would ask An even larger
- 1:24:55one. How quickly?
- 1:24:58Can humanity change? Before consciousness loses its
- 1:25:02balance. Welcome to the 2000s, the
- 1:25:132000's, the great. Acceleration of human
- 1:25:18consciousness. The Year 2. 1000 arrived with
- 1:25:22excitement. Why too right?
- 1:25:24The why too The why too movement.
- 1:25:26Some feared. The computers would stop.
- 1:25:29The earth would. Go totally dark.
- 1:25:31Nothing. Would would be there Remember
- 1:25:33the fear others believe. Humanity was entering the Golden
- 1:25:37Age. Technology was advancing faster
- 1:25:41than ever before. The Internet connected the
- 1:25:44world. Communication became
- 1:25:47instantaneous. Information became unlimited.
- 1:25:53Knowledge was now available with the touch of a button.
- 1:25:57Humanity entered a new. Era not long.
- 1:26:05Into this new era, September 11th, 2001 took place.
- 1:26:10An event that forever changed America, humanity and balance
- 1:26:19many of us remember. Exactly where we were, exactly
- 1:26:23what we were doing, exactly what and how we felt.
- 1:26:28For a moment, Politics disappeared.
- 1:26:32Race disappeared. Religion disappeared.
- 1:26:36America became one family. We cried.
- 1:26:40Together we prayed together, we mourned together and we united.
- 1:26:45Together we witnessed extraordinary courage.
- 1:26:49Firefighters, police officers, Emergencies, first responders,
- 1:26:53ordinary citizens. Military.
- 1:26:56Men and women standing ready to defend our freedom, our rights,
- 1:27:00our humanity. The world witnessed both
- 1:27:06incredible darkness. And.
- 1:27:09Incredible. Light As a veteran, this event
- 1:27:18touched my soul differently. Freedom suddenly had another
- 1:27:23face. Sacrifice, duty, honor, service,
- 1:27:30Respect many. Americans who had never.
- 1:27:37Considered. Military service suddenly
- 1:27:39understood the price that had always been paid for freedom.
- 1:27:45Those who? Wore the uniform.
- 1:27:46Understood it those who served understood it those.
- 1:27:50Who? Lost loved ones understood
- 1:27:53freedom has never been free. Just say it.
- 1:27:58Again, freedom has never been free.
- 1:28:07The years that followed brought wars international.
- 1:28:11Terrorism. Growing.
- 1:28:12Concerns over national security. Questions.
- 1:28:16About immigration, border security, constitutional
- 1:28:21interpretation, civil liberties, privacy, the relationship
- 1:28:26between government and the people.
- 1:28:29These. Conversations became part of
- 1:28:31everyday American life. Many.
- 1:28:34People. Reached different conclusions.
- 1:28:37History invites us to observe those conversations.
- 1:28:42Not. Simply the conclusions.
- 1:28:48At the same. Time technology accelerated
- 1:28:51faster than humanity had ever experienced.
- 1:28:55Google. Transformed how we searched
- 1:28:58Facebook. Changed how we connected
- 1:29:01YouTube. Changed how we learned
- 1:29:05smartphones. Placed the world inside of our
- 1:29:07hands. Information.
- 1:29:11Became immediate entertainment became.
- 1:29:15Immediate communication became. Immediate expectation also
- 1:29:22became. Immediate waiting.
- 1:29:25Quietly disappeared. Patience quietly diminished,
- 1:29:33balanced, had long been far gone.
- 1:29:40Instant gratification slowly became the new norm.
- 1:29:44Again, not right, not wrong. Simply another event in our
- 1:29:50classroom of humanity, another awareness quietly emerged
- 1:29:58comparison. Was no longer occasional.
- 1:30:02Comparison. Became continuous.
- 1:30:05The happiest moments of strangers entered our homes
- 1:30:08every day. Success appeared effortlessly.
- 1:30:12Beauty appeared effortlessly. Wealth appeared effortlessly.
- 1:30:18The human mind quietly began comparing ordinary life to
- 1:30:23everyone else's highlight. Reels factors that are lower may
- 1:30:31have emerged. Jealousy, envy, wants, desires.
- 1:30:41Unattainabilities history truly has introduced another event.
- 1:30:48Human consciousness was no longer comparing itself to
- 1:30:52neighbors, it was comparing itself to millions and billions
- 1:30:57around the world. Are you Go?
- 1:31:02And another event arrives. The financial crisis of 2008.
- 1:31:10Many families lost homes, jobs, retirement savings, security,
- 1:31:15pensions, healthcare. Children watched parents
- 1:31:19struggle. Parents.
- 1:31:21Questioned the future, humanity was reminded once again that
- 1:31:27certainty is often temporary. As we entered the next decade,
- 1:31:35another event unfolded A worldwide pandemic.
- 1:31:40COVID COVID brought humanity to. Isolation, anxiety, loneliness,
- 1:31:52fear, division, loss, grief, confusion, every.
- 1:32:00Human being on Earth experienced the event differently.
- 1:32:05Yet every. Human being experienced it.
- 1:32:09Perhaps. COVID did not create all of
- 1:32:11humanity's fears. Perhaps it illuminated them.
- 1:32:16The. Fear of uncertainty, the fear of
- 1:32:18abandonment, the fear of isolation, the fear of losing
- 1:32:23those that we love, and the fear of losing our own identity.
- 1:32:30Psychologists observe significant increases in
- 1:32:32anxiety, loneliness, grief and emotional distress for many
- 1:32:37people during that period. Spiritually, I ponder.
- 1:32:44Something really deeper, perhaps.
- 1:32:49Perhaps humanity? Had become so busy, so
- 1:32:53distracted, so accelerated. That the world.
- 1:32:58Unexpectedly, became still. Not as a.
- 1:33:04Punishment. Not as a.
- 1:33:06Reward. Just as.
- 1:33:08Another event. An opportunity to become aware.
- 1:33:16An opportunity to remember what truly matters.
- 1:33:23Family, faith, community, health, compassion, serious to
- 1:33:29others, Human connection. Love becoming of as I look.
- 1:33:42Back over every decade that we've that we've explored today.
- 1:33:47I don't see. Good generations.
- 1:33:50I don't see bad generations. I see humanity sincerely trying
- 1:33:55to improve its life. Sometimes we remained balanced.
- 1:34:01Sometimes we drifted. Every generation left gifts.
- 1:34:07Every generation created new events.
- 1:34:11Every generation handed both to the next.
- 1:34:17Which brings. Us to today.
- 1:34:19The question. Is no longer what happened.
- 1:34:23The question is, what are we going to do with the awareness
- 1:34:27we just have gained? Because it's the.
- 1:34:33Awareness without action changes nothing.
- 1:34:39So now it's. Time to begin that healing.
- 1:34:46That's our next chapter, returning humanity to balance.
- 1:34:56Today we have. Travelled together.
- 1:35:01Through. More than 70 years of history.
- 1:35:05We've observed. Generations, families,
- 1:35:07communities, education, technology, government,
- 1:35:11psychology, spirituality, and above all, humanity.
- 1:35:18Not to determine who was right. And it's not to determine who
- 1:35:21was wrong. Simply to become aware.
- 1:35:29I can't stress awareness a word that when.
- 1:35:35Given to me. Changed my perspective, changed
- 1:35:39my future, changed the way. I'd looked at other people.
- 1:35:44How I looked. At Mother Earth, how I looked at
- 1:35:46God, just simply becoming aware. In order to become.
- 1:35:53Aware we have to have patience. And we have to have time,
- 1:36:02perhaps history. Has.
- 1:36:05Never been asking us to choose sides.
- 1:36:09Perhaps history has always been asking us to.
- 1:36:13Become conscious, aware every generation, sincerely.
- 1:36:21Desired a better life. Every generation gave humanity
- 1:36:26beautiful gifts. Every generation also
- 1:36:29experienced events that quietly shifted the balance of
- 1:36:34consciousness. None of us can.
- 1:36:38Return and relive those moments. None of us can rewrite them.
- 1:36:43Every one of us can learn from them, and that is the gift of
- 1:36:50awareness. And of consciousness, today we
- 1:36:57explored entitlement. Perhaps entitlement was never
- 1:37:05the destination. Perhaps it was.
- 1:37:11Simply another event asking humanity to pause.
- 1:37:15To give it a minute to observe, to reflect.
- 1:37:20Not with judgement, not with ego.
- 1:37:24And then to remember right, we need to remember gratitude, to
- 1:37:31remember responsibility, to remember humility, to remember
- 1:37:37grace, to remember faith, to remember service, to remember
- 1:37:44compassion. To remember.
- 1:37:47One another, there's a phrase and lots of different religional
- 1:37:54genres. Do unto others as you would want
- 1:37:59others to do unto. You as a reverend.
- 1:38:05Of light, I believe every soul was created with the divine
- 1:38:10freedom to simply. Be.
- 1:38:19Not to become. Greater than the another one.
- 1:38:22Not to become. Less than another one, simply to
- 1:38:26become more aware than we were yesterday.
- 1:38:35Perhaps. That has always been God's
- 1:38:37invitation. Not perfection, awareness, not
- 1:38:42judgement, understanding, not fear, but love.
- 1:38:55You know healing does not. Erase past events.
- 1:39:03Healing. Transforms them.
- 1:39:05Into. Balanced consciousness.
- 1:39:08Allowing. Us to consciously understand our
- 1:39:14part that we played, our part of being.
- 1:39:20And our. Part.
- 1:39:21Of becoming. We need to.
- 1:39:25Heal what no longer serves us and choose our next event with
- 1:39:31greater awareness, wisdom, balance, and love.
- 1:39:37Because history remains, the lesson remains, and the wisdom
- 1:39:43remains. Only our.
- 1:39:45Consciousness changes, and when consciousness changes, families
- 1:39:51change. Communities change, nations
- 1:39:54change, humanity changes. Is it right or is it wrong?
- 1:39:59Are we stuck one aware? Soul at a time, I, I.
- 1:40:15Hope we're. Pondering and we're looking back
- 1:40:18as we go through before we move on to my final ponders.
- 1:40:23Of the art. Of you got it entitlement, we
- 1:40:33all played a part. It secretly sent in.
- 1:40:37We all understand, but yet as parents, our voices.
- 1:40:47Hold maturity, experience and advice from different other
- 1:40:53decades. It is the.
- 1:40:56Awareness of those decades, how things slowly creeped upon us.
- 1:41:06It's an age of aggression of words.
- 1:41:13It's an age. That people cause themselves
- 1:41:15anxiety because of their words. Their own anxiety is because of
- 1:41:21their own fear of their words or their fear of not being able to
- 1:41:25speak. When it bottles up, it takes us
- 1:41:30for a ride again. It's the understanding to become
- 1:41:36aware. Of how we.
- 1:41:39Help others and how we help ourselves.
- 1:41:42To understand, you heard me in. Past.
- 1:41:48Say. Nothing.
- 1:41:49Remain Silence in the chaos. Rescind.
- 1:41:54Because. Words can hurt, actions can
- 1:41:57hurt. Silence is probably the best
- 1:42:04modality. With the old.
- 1:42:06Cliche if you. Have nothing nice to say, say
- 1:42:08nothing at all. It's not that you.
- 1:42:12Don't love the person? It's that you've been hurt.
- 1:42:19Maybe their compassion, maybe their belief systems have
- 1:42:23changed. Maybe you?
- 1:42:26Aren't the person in that person's life anymore?
- 1:42:33Anything's plausible. I'm going to move on chapter.
- 1:42:37Nine, our final pondering. We started and as we.
- 1:42:42Prepare to leave one another today.
- 1:42:45I'd really. Like to leave you with one final
- 1:42:48pondering question. Not about history, not about
- 1:42:53politics, not about another generation.
- 1:42:56About. You it's time for.
- 1:43:01You to be about you. What event in your own life is
- 1:43:09quietly asking you for your awareness?
- 1:43:13Ask yourself that. Not your judgement, not your
- 1:43:17guilt, not your fear, not what has been pressed by your
- 1:43:22communities around you. You.
- 1:43:24Simply you. Your awareness.
- 1:43:26What event is your awareness taking you down that's holding
- 1:43:30you back? Because awareness is where
- 1:43:34healing actually begins. Healing transforms
- 1:43:37consciousness. A balanced consciousness
- 1:43:41transforms the next event. And.
- 1:43:45Every transformed event becomes another opportunity to live a
- 1:43:51conscious, positive life in service to others.
- 1:43:57When we're not. Healed.
- 1:44:00We could go down. A rabbit hole real quick if
- 1:44:02we're trying to be service to others.
- 1:44:06We need to. Heal that by our conscious
- 1:44:08awareness. Perhaps this is always been
- 1:44:12humanity's journey. Every event.
- 1:44:16Has a purpose, and every purpose invites awareness, and awareness
- 1:44:21invites understanding, and understanding restores balance.
- 1:44:27So a balanced consciousness transforms the next event, and
- 1:44:33transforms events create a conscious positive life.
- 1:44:38And a conscious. Positive life naturally becomes
- 1:44:42service to others. To see how that worked, humanity
- 1:44:50and each if if, if. I'm just saying.
- 1:44:53If. If each of us leaves.
- 1:44:55Today, choosing one more act of kindness, one more act of
- 1:45:00compassion, one more act of gratitude, one more moment of
- 1:45:03understanding, and one more moment of awareness, the
- 1:45:07humanity begins changing today. It changes who you are, not
- 1:45:12because someone told us to do this, but because we consciously
- 1:45:19chose it. We chose it because it
- 1:45:22alleviates anger, it alleviates resentment, it alleviates envy
- 1:45:27and jealousy and all the other lower vibration emotions that we
- 1:45:32have to heal to get to a positive conscious mind.
- 1:45:44And the art, it's the art. The art forms by humanity.
- 1:45:53Our consciousness forms that humanity.
- 1:46:00For humanity when silent changes occur that don't balance each
- 1:46:05other. An imbalance.
- 1:46:08Will always occur and we call those events and it's those
- 1:46:12events. That we.
- 1:46:14Consciously need to become aware of.
- 1:46:17Again, rescind when we're upset we don't talk to so many people
- 1:46:25to get an army. We talk.
- 1:46:28Openly to understand another. Way I hope that understands why
- 1:46:40some think entitlement is OK. Thank you.
- 1:46:50Just thank you for. Allowing me to spend this time
- 1:46:52with you today. Thank you for pondering, thank
- 1:46:55you for questioning your awarenesses, and thank you for
- 1:46:58seeking your awarenesses. I trust and I have faith that in
- 1:47:06traveling the levels of light to become awareness of
- 1:47:09consciousness of human conscious positive, I know you can do it
- 1:47:14too. Because I was stuck as a.
- 1:47:17Military disabled veteran. I was stuck.
- 1:47:21I needed to. See light.
- 1:47:23I needed to see a way. I needed to.
- 1:47:25Stop my ego. And I believe that in following
- 1:47:31these steps, there is that in humanity that can do it all the
- 1:47:36time. So until.
- 1:47:38We meet again, continue asking, continue learning, continue
- 1:47:42becoming aware, continue just choosing balance, continue
- 1:47:48living consciously, and continue serving others.
- 1:47:53May the Divine. Guide you in your needs.
- 1:47:56And may the. Angels carry you home with
- 1:47:57peace, love, grace, joy, happiness, and the abundance of
- 1:48:00what it is that you desire most. God bless you all.
- 1:48:04I'll see you the next time, right here on the world of
- 1:48:06conscious positive thinking. Where we.
- 1:48:09Continue Part 2. Of our.

- 1:48:16discuss the Age of Anxiety. It won't be.
