- 0:01Evolutionary changes take place in what may be called
- 0:06evolutionary time, which measures major changes over
- 0:10Millennia, certainly far beyond the span of any individual human
- 0:14lifetime. Thus, when we look at any
- 0:18attempt to modify human nature, not to speak a physical
- 0:22characteristics that are embedded in the DNA, or even the
- 0:26long and deeply embedded habits in our Vital nature.
- 0:30That are part of the subconscious inheritance.
- 0:32We have that frame, our way of reacting to circumstances.
- 0:36We cannot expect to see radical change in the course of a few
- 0:41years time. SRI aurobindo has pointed out
- 0:45that with the conscious participation of the mental
- 0:47intelligence and the bringing forward into action of the soul,
- 0:51the psychic being the process can be speeded up, but he also
- 0:57did not envisage a complete. Information of human nature in
- 1:02the course of even one century. He reflected at some point that
- 1:07the changes he was looking for may take several hundred years.
- 1:12This does not mean however that an individual called to this
- 1:15Pursuit should simply either give up or even slack off in the
- 1:20effort. SRI aurobindo describe the
- 1:23proper attitude in this regard as one that has the energy to
- 1:28accomplish everything without delay.
- 1:31While at the same time, maintaining the patient's for
- 1:34the deed to be accomplished over the course of many lifetimes.
- 1:40The individual can avoid the depths of depression due to the
- 1:43time, it takes by identifying not with the individual ego
- 1:48personality. But with the psychic and through
- 1:53its identification with the Divine, the universal
- 1:56manifestation, the Divine Shakti The psychic being recognizes the
- 2:03Timeless nature of the universal unfoldment and does not get
- 2:07burdened by the slow, pace of the human process.
- 2:13The mother notes, quote, and the human consciousness, everything
- 2:17is very slow. When we compare the time that is
- 2:22necessary to realize something with the average length of human
- 2:26existence. It seems interminable, but
- 2:31happily, there comes a time when one escapes from this notion,
- 2:35when one begins to feel no longer according to human
- 2:39measures. As soon as one is truly, in
- 2:42touch with the psychic one loses, this kind of narratives
- 2:46and of Agony. Also, this Agony, which is so
- 2:49bad. I must be quick.
- 2:52I must be quick. There is not much time, I must
- 2:56hurry. There is not much time.
- 3:00One does things very badly or doesn't do them at all anymore.
- 3:05But as soon as there is a contact with the psychic, then
- 3:09indeed this disappears, one begins to be a little more vast
- 3:14and calm and peaceful and to live in eternity psychic.
- 3:20Poise means the Poise of the being which comes from the fact
- 3:23that the psychic which governs the movement.
- 3:26So the being is the master of all the movements of
- 3:30Consciousness. The psychic is always well
- 3:33poised. So when it is active and
- 3:36governs, the being it inevitably brings a balance and quote,
