- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Your goodness is running after it's running after me.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: With my life laid down, I'm surrendered now.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: I give you everything.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: Your goodness is running after.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: It's running after me.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: You I received some wonderful news this past week, and I think I'll share it with you now.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: But before I do, I want to introduce myself.
- 0:31SPEAKER_01: For those of you that do not know me, my name is Ashley Amber, and I am your host for the Sunshine and Bubbles High Vibrational Podcast.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: We are in season three, episode 11.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: I believe there is like 60 some episodes total that are streamed on all the platforms.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: And some even have video, especially well, YouTube for sure.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: But Buzz Sprout now shares the videos with what can be shared.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: So that's a cool way to connect.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Happy to be here once again.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: The good news is my best friend is joining the worship team.
- 1:07SPEAKER_01: So amazing.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: She prayed on it.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: She was asked by the worship leaders.
- 1:12SPEAKER_01: Even though I've been asking her for like since I've been doing it, but here, there and there, the worship leaders called upon her and said it was put on their heart that she should join the team.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: And she didn't say yes immediately.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: She uh took it home and prayed on it.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: And I would like to believe that Jesus spoke to her and said, Yes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Rachel, shine your light and share your gifts.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: And so it was.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: And so it is.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: She's joining the worship team, so we get to spend even more time together singing his praises.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Honestly, it is a prayer answered for me.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: It is a dream come true.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: I think we're starting to form like the band here, the cherry poppers.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: Sunshine's gonna join us too one of these days just to watch him work.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Not my plan.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited that Rachel, my sister-in-law, is joining.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: She literally has a voice of an angel, y'all.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: And it needs to, it should be singing the graces of God in the congregation and bringing people closer to Jesus because that is what worship is all about.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: And I made, I reassured her, I'm like, don't worry, Rachel.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Like, not everyone's staring at you up there on the stage because you know, that's intimidating up there.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: But they are in their own worship ahead, in their own worship zone, and have their eyes closed and their hands up, and they're having a discussion with God.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: So don't feel like everyone's up there like staring at you, really, you know, eyeballing you up.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: They are in their own worship zone, which is such a beautiful thing.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: And it's not about you, it's not about me, it is about God.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: So use what little gifts that you have, your your offering, and bring it to us and lay it at the cross.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: And that is what she said, yes, l Lord, too.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: And I think that was the song last week where it was, Yes, Lord, yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord, amen.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: You're excited to tear it up with her up there.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: And it was kind of crazy because my husband, I went home and I shared the news with him, and he said, You know, that's really wild you say that, Ashley, because I was actually going to tell her what a beautiful voice she had.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: Because he was standing next to her in church.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And so it is.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: It's aligned and it's high vibrational and it is amazing.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: And I can't wait to next week.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Well, we'll see if next Wednesday she can make it.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: She did have to, she normally shares her gifts by making people feel beautiful.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: She is a hairdresser, hair cutter extraordinaire, a hairstylist.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Sorry, and so she's gonna work it in her schedule and rearrange some of the appointments, you know, looking forward down the road so she can make the Wednesday worship practice.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And God is getting her to come to church earlier because you you get to be early to practice on Sunday mornings as well, before the sermon.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: So it's pretty amazing how he works and watch him work.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: It's really pretty profound.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: So that is my good news.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: Thank you for sharing that and hearing that with me.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I'm really excited if you can't tell.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: And I think that deserves some bubbles.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: I had a giggle at myself because I'm like, of course, we just have bubble bubble machine here.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: And I looked at him like, I don't know what, I don't know how, I don't know when, I don't know why, but bubbles need to happen.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: That's my nickname, by the way, here on the farm.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: I think they described me really good.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Uncle Dave gave me that nickname, and I got to see him today and load him up with some peppers.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: And I left some honey on the porch for him because he asked about it.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: He's like, No, he's like, we can't do the Costco honey.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Really, Dave?
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Like, you know this.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: He's like, I know.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: He's like, and it was he was so slick when he rolled up in his truck.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: He's like, hey, how do the hives do this year?
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: How's that honey supply looking?
- 4:55SPEAKER_01: He's like, I'd like to buy some.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh no, Uncle for Uncle Dave, he just gets it graciously and abundantly as he is sharing this slice of heaven at the farm where he lives permanently and where we have our uh DNA hemp operations here.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: So I just feel so grateful and so blessed that we have this opportunity.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, glory be to God, but it was through Dave that was the encourager, the supporter, the believer that, you know, really helped us sow the seeds of success here where we can get in touch with nature and promote natural healing.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: And boy, was it a natural healing type of week.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: This week, we had I had planned a firesider and fellowship union this week.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: It's been on my heart to make firesider, as by the time it sits and does its infusing, it will be ready for the winter time.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: So it needed to be ready for the winter.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: So we had to make it now, and that's when all the farm fresh goodness is happening.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: So I really am so proud to present to you the amazing Firesider.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: I want to know how many of you had Firesider.
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: Show of a like or a like or a comment.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: I want to know because this firesider is fairly new to me, but I've been making it for several years now.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: And I feel like whenever I talk about firesider, people are like, huh?
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Like it's either you know, if you know, you know kind of thing with the firesider.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: But I learned about it when I was in school in my herbalist class, and now I see it all over in my algorithm with different ingredients and different ways to make it.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Well, there's no right or wrong way to make firesider.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: It's pretty much throwing a lot of stimulate stimulation, creation, station, farm freshness in this jar, roots and all, and let the apple cider vinegar extract all that goodness out of this jar.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: We what do we have in this jar this year, you might ask?
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: I would love to tell you.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Look, here's my bigger one.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: So everyone that came to the party, to the to the party, the Firesider and Fellowship celebration, went home with a mason jar, a a quart jar, and the bitty jar to give to a friend.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: That was the intention.
- 7:18SPEAKER_01: Is like, spread the love, pass it on.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: So I thought that was pretty cool.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: And everyone brought something for the firesider.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Everyone added to the good news, the goodness of it, which really kind of helps share the burden.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: No, not a burden.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Share the share the love when it comes to creating this.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: But this year we had brought horse, horse rat organic, everything.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: And we use horseradish, ginger, and turmeric.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: The roots, we chopped them up and put them in the food processor, and that is what this bottom layer is.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: And then we have delicious and beautiful red onion that adds to the stimulation factor of this juice.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: And the garlic is actually from my garden.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: I grew it this year, and I'm just such a proud garlic mama.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: Those bulbs are, they're not a lot of work, but they're just intensive, right?
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of steps, but I guess it's with anything in herbalism.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Well, we do it with a joyful, grateful heart, of course.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: I have my peppers in there that I grew, all different types.
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I don't even really know what you'd call them because it's all an experiment.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Some are sweet, some are spicy, but peppers, all none the same.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: Habanero, jalapenos.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: Like I said, there's some like, I think serranos.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: I think I grew serranos.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: But, you know, it's all it takes all types, and they're all in here.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: So that's wonderful.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: And then we have citrus fruit in here as well.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: We have lemons and oranges that are sliced up.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: And we also have some spices in there: the black pepper, clove, and star anise is all in here, which add the pungentness of this that really stimulate your digestion.
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: And one of my favorite parts about it is the fresh herbs that I was able to harvest that morning.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: And, you know, chop them all up and put them in here.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: I'm talking holy basil, lemon balm, oregano, and sage.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: I think some thyme and marama jam, miammer jam.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: However, you say that one has also made it to the party, the herbaceous party.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: And they're in here too.
- 9:34SPEAKER_01: And then we, to sweeten it up and help with this wild flavor that the apple cider vinegar has, and that's all the juice in there.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: We added some of my, of course, local and unadulterated, raw, golden goodness, the honey from my hive, which to me is liquid gold.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: So that went in here as well.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: Don't think I'm forgetting anything because that is a lot of goodness packed into this jar.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: But you just kind of layer, layer it on, layer it up, and that was fun for all of us girls to kind of get our hands in there and do the chop and the slice and the dicing, and then building the jars is always a great time.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: And and then yeah, put some parchment paper on there because the apple cider vinegar with its acidity will actually eat at the metal.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: So you don't want that.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: So guard that with the parchment paper to prevent that from happening.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: And my aunt Amy, she uh is loves the sewing machine and can sew anything.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: But she has a lot of fabric.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: So she made these cute little fabric tops for us as well to make them party while they sit on the counter for six to eight weeks or four to six.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: Four to six, eight weeks could be a bonus, but you might need it before then.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: So you would let this, you're gonna let this sit on your counter and give it a little shake, shake, shake every day.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Shake, shake, shake every day.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: And when I do a little shake, shake, shake every day, I'm infusing this with love and high vibrations.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: I say a sweet little prayer and say, heal for my baby, heal.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: And that way we charge all the energy of the goodness and positivity into this jar, and that will reflect in the medicine.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: It always does.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: That matters, it makes a difference, okay?
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: These plants have initiated me and we have a relationship, and I'm so excited to put them in the jar and put them to good use and share with you.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: That brings me the greatest joy, honestly.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: I feel like now I really don't have much firesider left.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: I already, I always give it out, but isn't that what it's for?
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: I don't need all of this.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: But how I started with it, I was like, why I was itching to make the firesider is my husband actually mentioned it to me.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: Danny was like, Hey, Ashley, like, do you have any more of that firesighter stuff?
- 11:46SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Yeah, yeah, we do.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: I was like, I'm gonna make, you know, fresh batches here, but I, you know, I still have some.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: And he goes, Yeah, make sure you make some more of that, especially if we're almost out, because he said it was like a lifesaver for him for this cold and flu season.
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: He's like, anytime I had a sniffle or a cough coming on, I just took a shot at that firesider and I feel like it got kicked right out.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: And when he got sick, it helped him heal that much faster because it's antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, it's rich in antioxidants.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: So that could mean it's like actually fighting, you know, those rogue cells in your body.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: So those free radicals.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: So it helps with that as well, which cause cancer, right?
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: So I'm really, really excited that he kind of gave me the push to have the firesider and fellowship initiation.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: And and I loved that.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: I was like, it's working.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: Like if he's asking for it, right?
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Like if he is wanting this because it tastes bad.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: I don't know how else to say it.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: It's definitely an acquired taste.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: Like now that I know what I'm in for, like, I take it like a champ.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: But before that, I would take a shot of it and be like, oh my gosh, why?
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: Why on earth with anyone?
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: And then it's like your body starts craving it.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: And it's like, hey, lady, that's really good for you.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: And you should probably take some more tomorrow.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: A lot of times people will take a shot of it before their their big meal during the day, dinner, because it'll actually aid in digestion and help break down all that food and excrete it out.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: So that helps with that.
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: But you can take it every day and you could just rip a shot like I do.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: Like that's pro level.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: But you know what?
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: You gotta meet yourself where you're at too.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: If this is new to you, if apple cider vinegar is something you have not experienced before, because you could just take a shot of apple cider vinegar every day to aid with all of these immunity properties and digestion and all that.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: But when you infuse it with all of this goodness, then it's like a super, super abundant vinegar, it's supernatural vinegar, as I was talking about in past episodes, that that's what how we're called to live.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Super abundant, supernatural.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And it takes the intent the intention to do so.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: So if you also just want to add it in with your juice, totally acceptable, right?
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: I used to put it in with water.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: So right when I get up in the morning, I drink about 30, 32 ounce, two pint glasses of water, and I just chug it down.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: So I would put this in one of the pint glasses and just drink it that way because it dilutes it and then the flavor's not so pungent and powerful.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: So that really works too.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: I put it in your smoothie.
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: People will make like salad dressings with it because it's the vinegar.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: You can get all sorts of creative when using your firesider, but gosh darn it, just use it.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Utilize! Like I know when you first taste it, it is something like no umami taste that you've ever experienced before.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: But this is definitely Pax, plaques, some power and a punch, and it's good for you, right?
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: This firesider was actually created by the legend.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say the man, the myth, the legend, but that does not apply here to a super herbalist Rosemary Gladstar, who is a household name when it comes to herbalism.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: She really was blazing trails.
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: And in the 70s, she came up with this firesider and shared it with the world.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: And it's been practiced ever since.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: So it's some of this, this good, wise woman tradition that we're able to come together and make this delicious concoction.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: And I love that it's like really just grocery aisle medicine.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: So this is all stuff like, okay, so say you didn't have the herb garden and you didn't grow the peppers and the onions and the garlic and all that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: Let's just say that you went to the grocery store and got all of these goods while mindfully sourcing, of course, if possible.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: If not, I mean, you gotta throw it caution to the wind.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Like, let's go.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: Heal yourself.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: But this is grocery aisle medicine right here, and I think that's the best part about it is it's accessible.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Go to the store tomorrow and whip up a batch of fire cider.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And come to think of it, I love the social aspect of making fire cider.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: I feel like getting the ladies together and being able to exchange and create and play and laugh and giggle and all the good things is just a wonderful experience in and of itself.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: That's healing, you know, in and of itself, is just getting the ladies together and creating something magical.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: And then what I what really filled up my cup during this session was the generational awesomeness that was there.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: We had Danny's Aunt Amy that was there, and the all my friends, who is that all my friends were there that were contributing to the firesight or some of my friends.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: And sweet little Izzy, my cousin Sheila's daughter, was also there.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: And she was picking up what we were throwing down.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: She actually like used the spice jars and started like trying to make her own like little layering concoction with oranges and lemons.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: And I was like, see, look, she sees us, she's learning, like the listening and you know, witnessing the elders being able to come together and create something that's going to help the family with that mindset is just really powerful.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: And I feel like it's chain breaking, right?
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Like, and involving the children in the kitchen.
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: So I feel like this firesider is a really great something to do together as a family because it is not, it's always more fun with a friend, right?
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: Like chopping all of this on your own is very doable.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: It's possible.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: Yes, you can and you will, and no big deal.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: But doing it, many hands make light work.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: So doing it together is just a great experience in and of itself.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: And I think again, that adds to the healing balance benefit of the firesider.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: So definitely something to be said there for sure, of just like the whole intention and practicality of it all.
- 18:07SPEAKER_01: So now you might be wondering, well, we have this delicious firesider layered and made.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: Now what do we do?
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: We shake it, we shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake your fire cider, dun, dun, dun, dun, shake your fire cider, dun, dun, dun, dun, every day, if possible.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: If not, nobody's woman.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: And you're gonna do that for, like I said, for four to eight weeks, whatever.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: It'll be ready for cold and flu season when the winter time comes.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: And then you're gonna strain it and put it in a container that's accessible for you to pour out of on the daily, if possible.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: And what's super cool about this is yeah, you're right.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: Like this isn't that much if you're using it every single day.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: So you can re-steep this.
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: I would get some more apple cider vinegar and fill this back up again and start the process all over.
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: You could do this two, three, possibly even four times.
- 19:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, why not?
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: This is super potent medicine in here.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: So why not, you know, re-steep it just like you would your tea leaves or your tea roots?
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: You can get a double cup out of there for sure.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Maybe three depends how strong you like it.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: But it's definitely an option for you.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: So I would highly encourage you using this more than once.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: And then, of course, compost it after when it's all said and done.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: And your family will be thanking you for it.
- 19:24SPEAKER_01: They'll be like, wow, that's really amazing that you you did that.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: And we should do that again next year and invite some friends over and make it a party.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: It's kind of like a crab boil, but like a firesider concoction activity.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: A make and take, if you will.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: How wonderful, how sweet it is.
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: It's just so good.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Just that.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: And also, while the girls were here, I just wanted to quickly mention that we also made these sweet little infused honey jars and where there is garlic, ginger, and turmeric in here.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: And this liquid is super cold.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, it is wonderful.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: And it's a sweet, a spoonful of honey makes the medicine go down.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: The medicine goes down.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: Oh goodness, I'm full of it today.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: But this spoonful or of this will help you feeling good throughout the season as well.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: And it's super sweet and it tastes good.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: So this is definitely more palatable for those people that might be a little bit more picky.
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: But I love how all of this is warming the body.
- 20:27SPEAKER_01: We're improving our digestion, we're supporting our immune system, which is gonna help us in cold and flu season.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: You know, those sinus and respiratory clearance that happens with the horseradish and the garlic and ginger in here.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Woo, wee! You're just gonna clear that all out.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: And not to mention, because it's an energizer, because it gets things moving, it's great for your circulation as well.
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: I know that my hands always get cold in the winter, and that's why I love me some ginger tea.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: But this firesider is like dang, zing, zang, zang, like it's gonna turn it up and turn it all the way up.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: So that peripheral blood circulation is definitely gonna be flowing after you use yourself some of this good old fire cider and infused honey here.
- 21:15SPEAKER_01: I mean, just a singular singularity of these ingredients, it's good for you.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: And then you put them all together and wow, we're talking epic proportions of grocery aisle medicine here, friends.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: And I love to share it because sharing is caring.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: So I'm going to be bringing some of this to the West Bend farmer's market this upcoming week.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: And I only have a limited amount of jars.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I'm gonna see how it goes out there, if it's selling.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: I know sometimes I have some of this on the table and people are like, what in the world?
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: But maybe after listening to this, you can get a little bit more acquainted.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: And if it's calling to you, I got you.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: But get it before it's gone, because like I said, it's very small batch.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: And unless the girls sign up to do this with me again, I don't know if I'll be making another batch this season.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: So a part of me wants to like keep it for myself, but then another part of me wants to take care of the community and the family.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: And I know I have to share it because that is what I'm called here to do.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: And maybe when I do share it, that person will tell a friend.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: And their friends will be inquisitive, like-minded individuals and want to create some of their some of their own too.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: And that is where we're creating change together.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: And where we're trusting our instincts and co-creating with the earth, helping ourselves to live our best life.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: That's funny.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: That's what's crazy about, you know, diets and you know, healthcare is that not all the times the stuff that's healthy for you, it's gonna taste good.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: But we eat it because it it's good for us.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: And our bodies are s can get so trained to crave sugar and sweet.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: When you pair it with something bitter, it's like you're like, not having that again.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: But like you kind of want to dip more than just a toe into that pool because that's really what your body is fueled off of and what it really needs.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: It doesn't, it doesn't need the sugar.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: As a matter of fact, it doesn't even recognize sugar, how to process that.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: But this stuff it knows and recognizes because it comes from the earth and is not ultra processed like some of those sugary treats are out there in the world.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: But what's wonderful is we got a lot of options here and they're right at the store.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: So what a beautiful blessing that is to be able to go there and make these choices for yourself and for your family.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: How sweet it is.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: So that's what I wanted to talk about firesider and fellowship.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: And kind of segueing into, you know, this week here.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: I'm so happy that I was able to get together with my friends and family and pour into this firesider because it has really been humdanger of the last month here with the loss of our dear emeralds.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: And we got some closure this past week with her funeral and then her memorial car show that went on.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: And I just wanted to talk about it a little bit because it happened, and there was some really profound moments in all of that, and some really good lessons that I just kind of wanted to dwell in here with you.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: And I just wanna, you know, Emerald's funeral, it was at the Krause funeral home in Brookfield.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: It was a beautiful place, and there was so many loved ones and friends and family that showed up there and, you know, paid their respects for Emerald and had a story to share and a good memory.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: And, you know, we could laugh and cry and be together and mourn our friend.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: I feel like having that closure is so important.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: And looking back at all the memories, I always really like to look at the pictures of the people and the life that they lived because it's from a different lens than my own and how I seen her.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: So it's really cool to see her as a little girl growing up.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: And, you know, as a teenager and beyond, I mean, she was so young when she passed, 29.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: So think of, you know, all the years, but she lived a big full life, and that was represented in what was posted up on the pictures there.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: And I really had a sweet moment with my cousin Jonathan at the funeral.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: He grabbed my hand and said, Let's go say a prayer up by her casket.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: And so that was a really touching moment when we both put our hands on Emerald and was able to say goodbye.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: It was a sweet prayer to our dear Lord, of knowing that, you know, she is in his arms and with no worries or no problems, no cares, no struggles, that she's in a better place, and to know that she is shining down on us and look in gonna be our angel, and also making a promise to keep checking in on her daughter, Sammy Joe, who was left behind.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: And such a sweet girl.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: She was there at the funeral, and just, you know, she's only three.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: I couldn't imagine walking through being having to tell her these things and and coming to the reality that her mom is no longer here on this earthly realm.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: She's in heaven.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: But she brought such like a lightheartedness feeling to the funeral of a reminder of that her legacy is going to live on, and that is through Sammy Joe.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: And she was giving big hugs and kisses to people and saying hello.
- 26:45SPEAKER_01: She was as cute as they come, and just seeing like her, her happiness and her joy, despite everything that she was going through, whether she is in full realization of it now or not, I just think is a really good reminder that kids just are so in the moment and they live in the here and now, and how freeing and liberating that is.
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: And so I'm gonna just keep her in my prayers and lift her up in the years to come, in the days, the months, the years as she walks through without a mother.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: But I know that angels are everywhere, they're among us, and she will be very well provided for in this in this earth because she's so loved and it was witnessed by all the beautiful, wonderful people that were there for Emerald's funeral.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: And I loved part of the saying goodbye to Emerald when we all gathered in the the chapel area, and her friends got to stand up and give their heartfelt testimony to Emerald and and their way to say goodbye to her.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: And it was just what they had said about her zest for life and her boldness and her courage and her authenticity, and and they had such wonderful, beautiful things to say about their friend.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: And it was very wonderful to to listen to it.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: And that was really hard to do.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't know.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: I've had to speak at a funeral before and just try not to lose yourself, you're overcome with emotions.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: They they really handled it nicely, especially Holly, who I have witness I worked with Holly too at Cheryl's Club 175.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: And I just commend her for her bravery and how she remembered Emerald and bringing such a light into Emerald's life and sharing that with people is so touching.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: And I was really happy to be able to witness that.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: And I was like, wow, that was really well thought out.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: And the things that she had said and shared were just so heartfelt and meaningful and just brought a little extra peace that surpassed all understanding for me and those that were feeling that energy from her.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: And I pray for her healing as well.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: And her other friend, I believe her name was Rachel, that shared that about on that day about Emerald was really special too.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: And it's so hard to say goodbye to a friend, especially so young with so many questions.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: But then her uncle Joe came up to speak and he delivered the gospel.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: And it was, it was powerful how he did it.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Like his energy, you could tell that he had a very solid relationship with Jesus.
- 29:27SPEAKER_01: He was very well connected just by like his confidence, and he did shed some tears.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: He did get emotional in the beginning, but was able to pull through and deliver such a powerful message.
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: And that was that Jesus wept.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: He was telling that was the shortest passage or line in the Bible of Jesus wept, and that was John 11, 35.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: And it really he was talking about how there is a season for everything.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: And to grieve somebody is good.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: That is a good emotional response to circumstances, to tragedies that happen.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: And even Jesus himself wept.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: There is a time for joy, there is a time for sorrow, there is a season for everything.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: And even Jesus was able to be compassionate and empathetic with other people and weep when something sad happens.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: So experiencing these emotions together, it just kind of like validated that, like, yes, this is super tragic.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: And and and Jesus didn't just come in, you know, this was the story of how he brought Lazarus from the dead days after he had passed.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: And he just, it's, you know, not only could Jesus have saved Lazarus before he passed away, but he chose not to.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: Because not only did he use Lazarus to glorify himself and he to, you know, show that if you believe in him, nothing is impossible through his power, through him alone, but also to show that, you know, in the in the shortest passage, to especially to Lazarus' sister Mary and Martha, who who were so sad about the whole situation, his family, his family, he wept right there with them.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: He walks with you in every along every step of the way, the riding the wave and the emotions together.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: And I think that was such a good indication of that.
- 31:30SPEAKER_01: He's like, he's with us through all the feels all the time.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: And God is good all the time, as he proved, as he raised Lazarus from the dead, just out of nowhere.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: And it says, Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: And I I, Father, I thank you that you have heard me.
- 31:56SPEAKER_01: I knew that you will always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: So by witnessing him take Lazarus from the grave, more believers were made.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: And Lazarus was used for the glory of God.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: But Jesus still wept.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: And Uncle Joe delivered that powerful message at Emerald's funeral so impactfully.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: And that's what stuck out to me from the whole thing was that little bit and getting to know Jesus and what kind of God we serve.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: And it was a really good reminder that it's he meets you right where you're at.
- 32:35SPEAKER_01: And some, you know, through this tragedy of Emerald passing, you know, if it's not good, he's not done yet.
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: And we might not understand it now, but it is not our plan.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: And we just have to keep going step by step and day by day, and he will lead us.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: And Lord, we can keep pray, praying, praying for the friends and family of Emerald who are grieving, who are weeping, who are full of sorrow, that by the dawn of a new day, you'll be reborn and you could keep on shining.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: I also loved Uncle Joe sharing them his favorite memory of Emerald.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: He said he would pick her up Sunday mornings and take her to church with him.
- 33:17SPEAKER_01: And he looked over and would see Emerald just with her hands raised up in the air, singing the songs and just giving it all to God and glorifying Jesus.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: And I was, it brought me so much peace and and comfort to know that she knew Jesus, that she worshipped him the same way as you and I.
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: And I was just like, yes, emeralds.
- 33:43SPEAKER_01: Yes, my girl, throwing her hands up, worshiping God.
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: And Uncle Joe witnessed that and her freedom and and her her joy in doing so is something that's inspiring and makes me want to lift my hands up just a little bit higher.
- 34:00SPEAKER_01: Yes, Emerald.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: And so the funeral was hard.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: And I remember going back to Cheryl's club after the funeral and helping Mari bartend, and a lot of the people from the funeral came to Cheryl's after, and where we could all continue to share stories and grieve together.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: And it's just so much better when we're together.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Really.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: But it was heavy.
- 34:21SPEAKER_01: It was heavy stuff, and it was a lot of energy, and it was a lot for that day.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: And then a couple days after, now on the funerals on Friday and on Monday, we had the memorial car show for Emeralds.
- 34:34SPEAKER_01: And I just wanted to say a huge shout out to Main Street Muscle Car Productions, Doug and April, who offered to help facilitate this memorial car show as they do our car show at Cheryl's Club every Monday during the summer.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: And there said, they said, How about this Monday?
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: We will make it a benefit to raise money for Sammy Joe, Emerald's daughter.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: And all the money donated could go right to her for this car show.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: And talk about angels being everywhere.
- 35:08SPEAKER_01: I feel like when when Emerald had passed and everything seemed so heavy, and we knew there needed to be some kind of memorial and a benefit for her, for her daughter that was left behind in her sudden tragic death to help cover costs.
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: It was just they came out and they and they stepped up and they just kind of took a weight off of our shoulders of being like, let's do this.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: It gave the some wind underneath our wings.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: And I'll tell you, my mom just took took that and needed that bit of encouragement and wing wind under her wings and took that off and went soaring.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: She was such a wonderful person and getting the donations put together and making sure the events ran smooth inside and we could raise some good money for emeralds.
- 35:54SPEAKER_01: And a special shout out to the wonderful angels that came through and helped us with that collecting the donations for the raffle prizes.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Courtney Carini was such an angel and she ran to dozens of places to pick up donations, reached out to them on the phone, asked for donations, then to go pick them up and deliver them to us was such a huge help.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: And again, I view her as an angel now that she was able to kind of, even though she was busy, even though she has a lot going on, she still made it happen.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: And that was such a big help for us to be able to have all that stuff come there.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: And of course, you know, doing our best of gathering donations and it takes a tribe, it takes a team.
- 36:36SPEAKER_01: You can't do it alone.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: And so my aunt Arlene was there that day too, taking care of business while my mom and I were able to put the donations together.
- 36:45SPEAKER_01: And that took some time, energy, effort, and intention, but so well worth it because that evening the sun was shining, the weather was wonderful, and people showed up.
- 36:56SPEAKER_01: People were parked from Cheryl's Club all the way down to Hillside, which is like miles down.
- 37:02SPEAKER_01: I've never seen so many people parked along the highway 175 like that.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: And the parking lot was full.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: The parking lot had 123 123 entries in for the car show of so many different kinds of cars, oldies, but goodies, new cars.
- 37:21SPEAKER_01: There was motorcycles there.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: I'm talking some really cool vehicles that were represented there.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: And I love that that's a community in and of itself.
- 37:31SPEAKER_01: And Emerald loved the car show.
- 37:33SPEAKER_01: She lived upstairs, so she would always come down and check out the cars on Mondays and a lot of times work the event as well over the years that she worked by us.
- 37:42SPEAKER_01: And so I think that was just so fitting for us to have it for the car show.
- 37:47SPEAKER_01: And that's why Dog and April knew that.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: And I love that we were able to connect the dots like that for Emerald.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: And I really know that she was smiling down.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: I could feel it.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: I could feel her happiness shining down on us on a day where it didn't rain, because up until then, everything with Emerald, there was a lot of rain associated with it.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: I feel like on the day that she had passed, there was rain.
- 38:09SPEAKER_01: I feel like when we would talk about her, there was rain.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: I don't know, just a lot of rain, but the sun was shining on her memorial benefit ride.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: And what a lovely turnout and show of support and and and family and and hopes for brighter days for Sammy Joe, where all the money that was raised went to her.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: Five thousand dollars was raised in just two hours.
- 38:33SPEAKER_01: It was from like 5 p.m.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: till dusk, two and a half hours.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: $5,000 with the help of Doug and April and the wonderful crew at Cheryl's Club 175.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: We were able to raise all that money and just the the raffles and donations and the prizes and the hugs and the prayers and the the support that was there that day filled up my cup once again.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: And and again, I know Emerald was really smiling down on us and shining, shining and smiling down.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: And it was just powerful, powerful stuff.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: And and I know she's in a better place.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: And it's still, it's still hard to process that grief that I talked about last week with with you know the worship and and the prayers and work and and being outside of nature can really help process all that.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: But getting together and getting that closure, there's something something to be said about that and and how so loved she was and the impact that she made on the on her short time here.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: It was just wonderful to witness.
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: And I will testify to his goodness as I spoke with Uncle Joe at the bar.
- 39:43SPEAKER_01: I wore a um let's pray cross shirt in the bar while I was bartending for the event.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: And I got dozens of compliments on that shirt.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Of people didn't ask for prayers that day, but they were like, I love your shirt.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: That is really good.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: I really love it.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, thank you.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: I'm like, even here, even now, we will throw up the cross and we will represent because it's in the bar, it's in these spaces where we need prayer the most, right?
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Of that hope, of that faith, of that joy.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: And, you know, he was there as well.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: God was there with us and sending angels our way and working with nature to make it a successful, wonderful event where people could get closure and maybe make some some new friends, say hi to some old friends and and co-create a brighter future together.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that's really what Cheryl's Club stands for there is being able to hold all types of events there on so many different emotional levels.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: And Jesus will meet you where you're at every single time, even here, even here.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: And it's it's crazy to think that this weekend at Cheryl's is two more celebration of life.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: We have a dear customer that passed, Indian John, and his celebration of life is happening there.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: And also a friend of mine's dad passed away and is hosting there his celebration of life.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: So a lot of loss, but through that loss comes a celebration of the here and the now and being together and making it count, right?
- 41:25SPEAKER_01: Like saying, like if you love somebody, tell them.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: If you feel some type of way, tell share that, share that with others.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: That's what we're called to do is love thy neighbor more than you love yourself.
- 41:39SPEAKER_01: And and showing up and being together and giving your testimony and and being a witness to other people's goodness, being the cheerleader, being the encourager, being the light in these dark places is such a wonderful thing.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: And I uh shared with Uncle Joe that I wanted to host a worship night at Cheryl's Club.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: And he's him and his wife are like, I'm there.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: Let me know when it is.
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: We're coming.
- 42:08SPEAKER_01: We're coming to the worship because you know that's how music can work and like stir up the heart.
- 42:14SPEAKER_01: And and that goodness will spread and move mountains.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: And isn't that wonderful news?
- 42:20SPEAKER_01: How sweet it is to be loved by you.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: By you and you and you and you and you and you and you.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: I love you guys so much, and I'm so happy to spend another session here with you.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for listening and being a part of this experience and the journey.
- 42:40SPEAKER_01: I'm forever grateful for you and I'm very accessible.
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: You can reach out at any time and we can talk, connect, and and pray about it and sing about it and give all of our problems to God.
- 42:53SPEAKER_01: I would love to do that, be that.
- 42:55SPEAKER_01: Before I sign off, I think that would be a wonderful place to end, but I really want to at least introduce this wonderful full spectrum, which means all the cannabinoids, all the cannabinoid goodness that the hemp plant has to offer into a lotion.
- 43:11SPEAKER_01: You ask for it, you shall receive.
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: This is some really ultra creamy, ultra more moisturizing goodness that we collaborated with a Wisconsin manufacturer with.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: They were able to promise that they will use our disillet from that was sourced from our sun-grown organic hemp that we grew here on the farm and make this wonderful lotion that has kind of like an apricot base to it and some citrusy scents along with some lavender.
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: And I love that it's like thick, she thick.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: And there's 2,400 milligrams of cannabinoid goodness in here.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: And it's meant to be just spread all over.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: You know, your skin is your biggest organ and it really soaks up the cannabinoid goodness so well, and it can help with pain and inflammation, even your mood, all obviously keeping your skin very moisturized and supple.
- 44:11SPEAKER_01: But this cream is where it's at.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: And I love Sunny Skies in Duran, Wisconsin was able to make this dream a reality and support our small batch organic hemp.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: And it's available now on the website DNAhempLc.com, or you could get some at Cheryl's Club 175 or the Green Dog Market in West Bend or the Gift Nook in Kewascom.
