- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today I have a quote but we don't know who said it.
- 0:32I researched like crazy trying to figure it out because it
- 0:35drives me insane when things say unknown because I always try to
- 0:38find somebody to give credit to. But this quote is so great.
- 0:42Every day may not be good but there is good in every day and
- 0:47obviously unknown is the author of this quote.
- 0:50So what does that mean? That means that you have to look
- 0:58to find it. It is not always out in the
- 1:00open. I like to think of these like
- 1:02I'm on a treasure hunt or an Easter egg hunt or some kind of
- 1:07magical thing where you're looking.
- 1:09I love to do hidden pictures and you're always looking for the
- 1:11hidden picture. And for me, that's the thing.
- 1:15It's like you have to seek it out.
- 1:17You have to find it. And if you're listening this
- 1:20week, there's kind of a theme going here about finding these
- 1:24things because people are struggling right now and they
- 1:27are very bombarded by all the wrong things that are happening
- 1:30out in the world, and they're struggling to find the right
- 1:33things. So this is a habit of
- 1:38cultivation. This is a habit that you're
- 1:40developing. This is something that you have
- 1:43to look for. And wow, you may have, you know,
- 1:47bad things happen every day and every day may not be good.
- 1:52There are good things, small things, tiny things.
- 1:56And how can you get more if you're not even focused on the
- 1:59little ones that happen? It won't happen.
- 2:01You will never, ever, ever be able to truly hit your level of
- 2:06greatness if you're constantly noticing and looking for the
- 2:09things that are not working. So what's so important to
- 2:13remember in the process of doing this is that you have the power
- 2:17to see and not see. You have the power to, you know,
- 2:21change your eyes. Do you remember the the magic
- 2:24pictures years ago? And it was this whole craze at
- 2:28one point in time where it looked like just this myriad of
- 2:31a graphic and you couldn't see it.
- 2:33But if you didn't unfocused your eyes and they would say look
- 2:37past the graphic, all of a sudden you'll see a picture of a
- 2:40plane or a rocket ship or a sun. And I remember I was so young
- 2:45trying to see those and it drove me nuts.
- 2:48And I was like, I can't see him. I can't see him.
- 2:50And I would try so hard and I would try so hard and I would
- 2:53look at all the little squares and all I could see was the
- 2:55little squares. So I was seeing right what was
- 2:58right in front of me and I couldn't see the bigger picture
- 3:01of which I had to unfocus myself and really get into a different
- 3:05headspace. But you know what's really cool
- 3:07about it? Once I did it, once I was able
- 3:10to do it, oh boy, it changed everything.
- 3:13And I learned a trick and then I learned how to do hidden
- 3:16pictures and I got way more skilled at being able to see
- 3:20things that I couldn't essentially see.
- 3:22So I'm going to challenge you guys to go out and try to find
- 3:27that. And just food for thought.
- 3:29This is something that I do regularly.
- 3:32It's a habit of mine. I have a hidden pictures app.
- 3:35And no, this isn't a plug for hidden pictures, but I keep it
- 3:38on my iPad so that I can sit and I can look at it because I'm a
- 3:43very visual person and I love to see things that are there that I
- 3:47don't see. So I will walk around like you
- 3:49know, I've talked about this in the past.
- 3:52I will take pictures of every little treasure that I and I'm
- 3:55air quoting treasure here that I find on my walks, which are are
- 3:59on the farm every day I walk, walk, walk 27,000 steps a day
- 4:04around the farm. Typically, I have a walking
- 4:06trail and I just walk it and I see things, flowers, bugs, all
- 4:11kinds of things because I'm cultivating a mindset that
- 4:16allows me to find good little things in every day.
- 4:19And those little things, no matter how difficult it might be
- 4:22for coaching day or a recording day, no matter how difficult the
- 4:25weather might be or whatever, I'm going to go off and I'm
- 4:28going to find those little good spots in every day.
- 4:31That's why I post pictures of flowers to teach you guys to do
- 4:34it. That's why I post pictures of
- 4:36bees and bugs and every little tiny thing because we are
- 4:39surrounded by them. We just have to find them and be
- 4:43willing to stop and pause and look.
- 4:44And I use my cameras to help me with that.
- 4:47All different types, whether it's my video camera, my phone,
- 4:50my big camera, my DSLR, whatever it is.
- 4:53I am always taking pictures, much to my husband's dismay, by
- 4:58the way, because there's a lot of photos that are in our iCloud
- 5:02and boy, it's a lot. But in any event, it's a tool
- 5:07and it helps you see the good. So try to find the good.
- 5:12You know, I honestly, even a paper clip is an amazing tool
- 5:17when you think about it. Wow, how did somebody come up
- 5:20with that? What a cool thing.
- 5:22Zippers. You put your pants on every day,
- 5:24you zip them up. Guess what, that wouldn't not be
- 5:27happening if it was not for the guy who or the girl who created
- 5:31the zipper. I mean, come on, think about it.
- 5:33The person that did that, pretty brilliant in my opinion.
- 5:37You know, I use these shades out here in the chicken coop to give
- 5:40them areas where they can just get out of the sun.
- 5:44Besides the fact that they can go everywhere they want on the
- 5:46farm. But some of them like to hang
- 5:48out close to the coop. So I create these things.
- 5:50These little shades are awesome. I can't even tell you how
- 5:54grateful I was when I picked it up.
- 5:55I was like, wow, this person is amazing.
- 5:58And I just sent that person a ton of energy because I wanted
- 6:02to put out good energy. I went there to solve a problem.
- 6:05I was dealing with Not enough shade for the girls who stuck
- 6:09around. That was not a good thing.
- 6:11But guess what? I was so focused and excited.
- 6:13I'm like, I'm going to go find something.
- 6:14I was on a treasure hunt. I walk in, I find it.
- 6:17Boom, now I've got good in the day see how it works?
- 6:21So go find your good in the day. All right my friends, have a
- 6:24blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 6:26Bye.
