- 1:17Speaker 2: We stream live on Facebook.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Kick and guys, I'm also trying to stream this on
- 1:24Speaker 1: TikTok at the same time. Want to let you all
- 1:27Speaker 1: know we do not or I do not have enough
- 1:29Speaker 1: followers to be able to do it through our streaming platform.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So I actually have a camera setup as well as
- 1:37Speaker 1: my phone and two different microphones, so I'm hoping this
- 1:42Speaker 1: is all working for you guys. Okay, I am hoping
- 1:45Speaker 1: it's working now. We are not streaming currently on our
- 1:49Speaker 1: YouTube channel Live for Midday Missing because the fabulous and
- 1:53Speaker 1: wonderful Lama is streaming a life trial over on Couch Court,
- 1:59Speaker 1: so I will instead download this video and upload it
- 2:04Speaker 1: on YouTube, so everybody that is used to watching it
- 2:07Speaker 1: over there can still watch it. Okay. Now, if you're
- 2:11Speaker 1: listening to this on the podcast app, please like and subscribe.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It helps us get the word out more for these
- 2:19Speaker 1: missing individuals. Okay, and I'm trying to look at comments
- 2:24Speaker 1: and say hi to everybody, but guys, this is a
- 2:28Speaker 1: lot of stuff for me. Okay. Now, if you need
- 2:31Speaker 1: more of me or Lama or both of us, you
- 2:35Speaker 1: can always find us doing something over on our True
- 2:38Speaker 1: Crime and Wine Time YouTube channel. And guys, if you've
- 2:41Speaker 1: become a member, we have several levels, with the first
- 2:44Speaker 1: starting at just ninety nine cents. As a channel member,
- 2:47Speaker 1: you will get exclusive content, special emojis, happy hours with
- 2:52Speaker 1: Me and Lama. We even have a level where you
- 2:55Speaker 1: get custom curated boxes quarterly. It's great. It's great.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Trust me.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Now, as we start today's episode, I want to pause
- 3:08Speaker 1: and acknowledge Nancy Guthrie, who is missing and is the
- 3:13Speaker 1: daughter of Savannah Guthrie, who I believe everyone has seen
- 3:17Speaker 1: either on the Today Show, her covering life trials or
- 3:21Speaker 1: other worthy headline events. Okay, we are holding Nancy and
- 3:28Speaker 1: the family in our hearts, and our prayers and our
- 3:32Speaker 1: thoughts go out to them, and we have the deepest
- 3:35Speaker 1: hopes for answers, clarity, and peace because they're in a
- 3:39Speaker 1: situation that no one should have to endure. But at
- 3:43Speaker 1: the same time, it's important to say this out loud.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Guys.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Most families do not get this level of attention, media coverage,
- 3:54Speaker 1: or even law enforcement response that Nancy's family has received.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Many of the family are left, you know, waiting. Okay,
- 4:03Speaker 1: they are unhurt, and they are fighting just to keep
- 4:07Speaker 1: their loved ones names alive. And this disparity is exactly
- 4:12Speaker 1: why Midday Missing exists because every missing person, every family,
- 4:19Speaker 1: deserves to be taken seriously. And Guys, no one should
- 4:23Speaker 1: disappear into silence simply because they don't make headlines, they
- 4:29Speaker 1: don't have family that is out in the public. Okay,
- 4:34Speaker 1: So today far cases, we are heading to Wyoming, and guys,
- 4:39Speaker 1: Wyoming is on my bucket list. Okay, it is. It's
- 4:44Speaker 1: one of the states that I want to visit. Okay, Now,
- 4:49Speaker 1: Wyoming is the least hold on guys. I'm I do
- 4:55Speaker 1: have visuals to show if y'all are watching over on Facebook.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't know how to do that on TikTok Hopefully
- 5:03Speaker 1: we're going to get enough viewers where I can do
- 5:05Speaker 1: it all through one platform.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Now, Wyoming is the least populous US state, with only
- 5:12Speaker 1: about five hundred and seventy six thousand residents, guys.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I was like, what for the whole state?
- 5:19Speaker 3: Okay?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Now, Wyoming is known for its sweeping plains, striking mountain ranges.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They've got Yellowstone, They've got the Grand Teton National Parks,
- 5:31Speaker 1: and a cowboy ranching heritage that evokes the Old West. Okay,
- 5:37Speaker 1: what's one of the reasons I want to go theres Okay.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It also has one of the lowest population densists in
- 5:43Speaker 1: the nation, with more open space than most states. The
- 5:48Speaker 1: state capital is Cheyenne, and the economy blends energy production, agriculture,
- 5:55Speaker 1: and tourism around those natural wonders. When it comes to
- 6:00Speaker 1: missing persons, wyomingly consistently Wyomingly. Wyoming consistently ranks among the
- 6:08Speaker 1: top states per capita for missing people, with roughly nine
- 6:14Speaker 1: point two missing persons per one thousand residents according to
- 6:20Speaker 1: recent data. That is higher than the national average Okay,
- 6:25Speaker 1: Even though the raw numbers stay relatively low due to
- 6:29Speaker 1: its small population, around seven hundred to nine hundred missing
- 6:36Speaker 1: person cases are reported annually. Now good news for them.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Most individuals are found within twenty four hours, but this
- 6:46Speaker 1: still places Wyoming high on the national lists for missing
- 6:51Speaker 1: person rates, Indigenous people are disportionately represented. Okay, hello, Harry.
- 7:00Speaker 1: From twenty eleven to twenty twenty, about fifteen percent of
- 7:04Speaker 1: missing person records in the state involved Indigenous individuals, who
- 7:10Speaker 1: make up only a small share of the population, and
- 7:13Speaker 1: media coverage of their cases has historically lagged behind all
- 7:19Speaker 1: other groups. Guys, that's insane. Okay, that is insane. Now,
- 7:28Speaker 1: our first cases are about fourteen year old Amanda Gallian
- 7:33Speaker 1: and twenty year old Patrick Gearing, who both vanished within
- 7:38Speaker 1: six days from each other from Gellette to Wyoming, and
- 7:43Speaker 1: they have never been seen again. It was Monday morning,
- 7:47Speaker 1: October thirteenth, nineteen ninety seven, when fourteen year old Amanda
- 7:53Speaker 1: Gallian left home walking to school in Gellette, Wyoming. She
- 7:57Speaker 1: never arrived for class that day. Her school didn't notify
- 8:02Speaker 1: her parents that she was absent, and it wasn't until
- 8:05Speaker 1: around six pm that her family realized Amanda.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Had not made it to school.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Guys, that right, there is a problem. I mean, even
- 8:17Speaker 1: back in nineteen ninety seven, my kids were in school
- 8:22Speaker 1: and I would get an automated call saying, Hey, your
- 8:27Speaker 1: kid's not in school. Are they missed third period? And
- 8:29Speaker 1: fourth period?
- 8:31Speaker 2: I got those calls. Where were these calls?
- 8:34Speaker 1: Did Wyoming not have that? Because if they don't, they
- 8:37Speaker 1: need to get it. Okay, you need to get it
- 8:39Speaker 1: because I cannot imagine finding out your child never made
- 8:43Speaker 1: it to school until after six pm. Okay, that's that's
- 8:48Speaker 1: a problem. Her father, Don Gallian, immediately began driving around
- 8:55Speaker 1: town searching for her. He drove up and down the
- 8:59Speaker 1: local the Cruise, which is a popular stretch of road
- 9:03Speaker 1: from one thousand and one Plaza on Higway fifty nine
- 9:07Speaker 1: to the old Mini Mart. Okay, it was the place
- 9:10Speaker 1: teams gathered often. Guys, we did that, Okay. I grew
- 9:15Speaker 1: up in North Shore and we had the boulevard we
- 9:18Speaker 1: went cruising. So smart on dad. Now, while searching, Don
- 9:23Speaker 1: flagged down a patrol officer named Wasson and asked for
- 9:27Speaker 1: help finding his daughter that moment. Okay, a worried father
- 9:33Speaker 1: stopping a stranger on patrol would stay with the officer
- 9:38Speaker 1: Wasson for the rest of his career. Amanda had moved
- 9:43Speaker 1: to Jillette only about six weeks before she disappeared. Six
- 9:47Speaker 1: weeks Guys, the move had been very hard for her. Okay,
- 9:53Speaker 1: she was still grieving the recent loss of her grandmother, Nanny,
- 9:57Speaker 1: who had passed away just a few months early. Amanda
- 10:02Speaker 1: was a talented violin player and loved singing country and
- 10:06Speaker 1: Western music. Her mother, Sissy Gallian, describes her as kind hearted, creative,
- 10:13Speaker 1: though she had struggled emotionally after losing her grandmother and
- 10:18Speaker 1: moving to a new town. Guys, if I had lost
- 10:22Speaker 1: my mama when I was in high school, I can
- 10:26Speaker 1: honestly say I would not be the person I am today.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And because of that, I am sure that I would
- 10:33Speaker 1: have gone off the rails.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Okay, I was an adult when my mama passed.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I from the moment I got the phone call that
- 10:41Speaker 1: she died. I don't really remember anything for a couple
- 10:44Speaker 1: of weeks. So can you imagine being fourteen? Because she
- 10:48Speaker 1: sounds like she was very close to her nanny. My
- 10:51Speaker 1: heart hurts for Amanda.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Now police learned through Amanda's friend Donna, that Amanda might
- 11:00Speaker 1: have been with Patrick Gearing, a twenty year old local man. Okay,
- 11:08Speaker 1: I'm going to just say red flag. Why am the
- 11:10Speaker 1: heck is a twenty year old hanging out with a
- 11:13Speaker 1: fourteen year old guy?
- 11:14Speaker 2: She'd only lived there six weeks. How did he.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Not okay. Patrick was known around town as a cowboy,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and he was the only child of Raymond and Janice Gary,
- 11:29Speaker 1: who you know, good people. He graduated from let's see
- 11:36Speaker 1: Campbell County High School in nineteen ninety five and he
- 11:39Speaker 1: often helped out the family on the ranch. Amanda and
- 11:43Speaker 1: Patrick had been seen together okay before, and police believe
- 11:48Speaker 1: the two had a friendship or possibly more. She's fourteen, guys,
- 11:53Speaker 1: no not okay. A few weeks earlier, Amanda had snuck
- 11:58Speaker 1: out with Donna to me Patrick and some friends. Another
- 12:02Speaker 1: red flag alert.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Guys, kids, please.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Do not sneak out. Okay, I did it, but I
- 12:09Speaker 1: have to tell you the world is not a place
- 12:11Speaker 1: like it was back in the Stone Ages when I
- 12:15Speaker 1: was a kid. This is not a place where you
- 12:17Speaker 1: can trust anyone. You can sneak out to go wrap
- 12:20Speaker 1: a house and there be somebody bad out there and
- 12:23Speaker 1: something nefarious could happen, okay. Or you go out to
- 12:28Speaker 1: meet a twenty year old and you're fourteen. A twenty
- 12:31Speaker 1: year old does not have good business with a fourteen
- 12:34Speaker 1: year old. I'm going to say it. If anybody wants
- 12:36Speaker 1: to come at me, come at me. Okay. Fourteen and
- 12:41Speaker 1: a twenty year old. Should not happen, okay. Oh my gosh,
- 12:46Speaker 1: it looks like Tara and Angie popped in over on TikTok.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Hi.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Ladies, I don't know if you were here first. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: got double cameras going on. I got to get more
- 12:56Speaker 1: followers on the TikTok to be able to do it
- 12:59Speaker 1: through our streaming platform. So I'm double fisting today now.
- 13:04Speaker 1: When Amanda went missing, investigators initially thought she may have
- 13:08Speaker 1: run away with Patrick Okay logical. After Amanda was reported missing,
- 13:15Speaker 1: investigators quickly tracked down Patrick Okay. He was questioned and
- 13:19Speaker 1: he told police he had last seen Amanda around seven
- 13:22Speaker 1: point fifteen, the morning she vanished. With no concrete evidence
- 13:29Speaker 1: of wrongdoing, he was released. Meanwhile, police searched the town
- 13:36Speaker 1: and the surrounding rural areas while Amanda's family distributed flyers,
- 13:43Speaker 1: posted them everywhere, and pleaded for information.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Days passed with no sign of Amanda.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Guys, buckle up, because then on October nineteenth, six days
- 13:57Speaker 1: after Amanda disappeared, also went missing.
- 14:04Speaker 3: So we have two.
- 14:05Speaker 1: That same day, Patrick's father found his son's pickup truck
- 14:11Speaker 1: abandoned behind the villa on Second Street. The truck was
- 14:16Speaker 1: parked on the wrong side of the road and facing
- 14:18Speaker 1: the wrong direction. Inside the truck, his dad noticed several
- 14:25Speaker 1: several strange details. Okay, the driver's seat was pulled up
- 14:30Speaker 1: much closer to the steering wheel than Patrick needed. He
- 14:34Speaker 1: was about five six, so he wasn't sitting up up
- 14:38Speaker 1: close like he was five foot one. Two watch us
- 14:41Speaker 1: were found inside. One was especially significant. It belonged to Amanda.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:48Speaker 1: It had been a gift from her beloved grandmother Nanny
- 14:53Speaker 1: and her mom Sissy said Amanda would never have left
- 14:57Speaker 1: it behind. Okay, that's scary. Also, a handwritten letter was discovered.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Police confirmed it was written in Amanda's handwriting. Now the
- 15:09Speaker 1: exact Oh did y'all lose sound? Uh? Oh, hold on,
- 15:17Speaker 1: I'm being told over on TikTok. Hopefully you've got that
- 15:20Speaker 1: sound back. I have two different microphones going, so I
- 15:25Speaker 1: did not see that, So I hope you got it back.
- 15:29Speaker 1: The letters exact content have not been publicly released, but
- 15:36Speaker 1: Amanda's mother remembered it as the words of a frustrated teenager,
- 15:42Speaker 1: angry at her parents and struggling with her emotions. Sounds
- 15:46Speaker 1: kind of like a teenage girl to me. Too right. Okay, guys,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna plug this microphone in just to make sure
- 15:52Speaker 1: y'all don't lose me again. I think y'all may have
- 15:59Speaker 1: lost me again. Okay, guys, I hope y'all got me again.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I'm back. I'm gonna put this microphone right here so
- 16:13Speaker 1: I can see when the little green light goes off. Okay, See, guys,
- 16:17Speaker 1: this is why we need more likes so I can
- 16:19Speaker 1: go through one streaming platform, because if you've ever seen
- 16:23Speaker 1: me before, you would know I am not a technical
- 16:26Speaker 1: person in doing all of this behind the scenes. Isn't
- 16:30Speaker 1: working very well.
- 16:32Speaker 2: It looks like we just lost audio again.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Okay, guys, you should have audio back. Let me know,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I had to get rid of the microphone and I'm
- 16:42Speaker 1: having to use just my phone camera. So I apologize
- 16:46Speaker 1: everybody watching me over on Facebook and kick. Thank you
- 16:51Speaker 1: for your patience.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Now, she was a frustrated fourteen year old. She had
- 16:57Speaker 1: moved to a new place, her beloved grandmother had passed away.
- 17:01Speaker 1: That's a lot okay. Patrick also has never been seen again.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Investigators looked deeper into everything. Both of the family's fears grew.
- 17:13Speaker 1: As we can all imagine, Although Amanda's case was originally
- 17:19Speaker 1: listed as an endangered runaway, the lack of any trace,
- 17:24Speaker 1: no financial activities, no sightings, nothing raised serious concerns. The
- 17:33Speaker 1: same was true for Patrick. Since nineteen ninety seven, neither
- 17:38Speaker 1: his nor amanda sol security numbers have ever been used.
- 17:42Speaker 1: That means no jobs, no credit, no driver's license, nothing.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Okay, you may think.
- 17:49Speaker 1: It's easy to go off the grid, even back in
- 17:51Speaker 1: nineteen ninety seven, I personally don't know how a twenty
- 17:54Speaker 1: year old and a fourteen year old could do.
- 17:55Speaker 3: It, Okay.
- 17:57Speaker 1: At the time she went missing, Amanda was described by
- 18:01Speaker 1: names as a Caucasian female with blonde hair dyed black
- 18:06Speaker 1: in blue eyes. She was five foot tall, She weighed
- 18:09Speaker 1: about one hundred pounds, and was last scene wearing typical
- 18:13Speaker 1: school clothes. Amanda was only fourteen years old at the
- 18:17Speaker 1: time of her disappearance, and Patrick Lee Gearing was twenty
- 18:21Speaker 1: years old. I know her parents.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Did not know she was seeing anyone, but.
- 18:27Speaker 1: It breaks my heart to think that her friends knew
- 18:30Speaker 1: and didn't think there was something wrong with the twenty
- 18:33Speaker 1: year old being interested in a fourteen year old. Okay,
- 18:38Speaker 1: just gonna say that friends girlfriends be that friend Okay,
- 18:43Speaker 1: even if you think it's the wrong thing, or if
- 18:45Speaker 1: they think it's the wrong thing, still go to an adult.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Patrick has been described as kind, he was hard working,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and he was close to his family. Patrick was an
- 18:58Speaker 1: only child and he had graduated from high school several
- 19:02Speaker 1: years earlier. He was known to be dependable, and he
- 19:05Speaker 1: was not the type to disappear without telling anyone. And
- 19:09Speaker 1: despite extensive searches, people have been interviewed by multiple agencies
- 19:15Speaker 1: that are reviewing the case. No remains, no sighting, nothing
- 19:20Speaker 1: has ever been found. Officer Wasson, that patrolman who stopped
- 19:26Speaker 1: to help Don Gallian, later said he never imagined that
- 19:32Speaker 1: more than two decades later, Amanda would still be missing.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Amanda's family has never stopped searching for her. Her mother
- 19:42Speaker 1: still remembers the sound of her daughter's music and the
- 19:46Speaker 1: watch that she would have never left behind. Patrick's parents
- 19:51Speaker 1: continue to live with the pain of not knowing what
- 19:53Speaker 1: happened to their only child. Both of these family deserves closures. Okay,
- 19:59Speaker 1: and guys, remember two things can be true at once.
- 20:03Speaker 1: They could have meant to run away together and then
- 20:07Speaker 1: something nefarious happened to them, and we don't know maybe
- 20:12Speaker 1: they were just friends. Maybe Patrick just wanted to be
- 20:16Speaker 1: a big brother.
- 20:17Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 20:18Speaker 1: What we do know is that the family needs answers.
- 20:22Speaker 1: So if you have any information about the disappearance of
- 20:26Speaker 1: Amanda Gallian or Patrick Garing, please I implore you contact
- 20:31Speaker 1: the July Police Department at three oh seven six eight
- 20:36Speaker 1: two five 't one five five, because guys, even the
- 20:41Speaker 1: smallest detail could be the final answer. It could be
- 20:45Speaker 1: what helps put it all together.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Now, if you know of or if you have a
- 20:52Speaker 1: loved one missing and are interested in having their story
- 20:56Speaker 1: featured on an upcoming episode, or you want to join
- 21:00Speaker 1: us for a life interview, you can contact me at
- 21:04Speaker 1: Terry at TCWT Media, or you can contact us through
- 21:09Speaker 1: all of our social media accounts. We're out there, Okay,
- 21:13Speaker 1: We're out there everywhere. Up next is a case that
- 21:18Speaker 1: highlights just how fragile safety can be when someone is
- 21:23Speaker 1: struggling with their mental health.
- 21:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Thirty eight year old Shanna bru Baker had just started
- 21:30Speaker 1: a new chapter in her life, living and working in Cheyenne, Wyoming,
- 21:36Speaker 1: but after only two weeks, she suddenly vanished, leaving behind
- 21:41Speaker 1: all of her belongings and a family extremely desperate to
- 21:47Speaker 1: find her. Shannah was last seen on April twenty ninth,
- 21:55Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, in Cheyenne, where she had been staying
- 21:58Speaker 1: at a home this on set Nineteenth Street. She had
- 22:01Speaker 1: been working at for a local property owner cleaning houses
- 22:06Speaker 1: and was already known to be dependable and hardworking, But
- 22:12Speaker 1: that day, when her employer couldn't reach her, concerns grew okay,
- 22:17Speaker 1: they grew very quick. When family members were contacted, they
- 22:22Speaker 1: discovered something deeply unsettling. Shanna's cell phone, wallet, and medication
- 22:30Speaker 1: were still inside the home. There was no sign of struggle,
- 22:35Speaker 1: but there were no signs of Shanna either. By the
- 22:39Speaker 1: time an official missing person report was filed, she had
- 22:44Speaker 1: already been missing for thirty six hours. Before moving to Cheyenne,
- 22:51Speaker 1: Shanna had been through a great deal. Her brother, Samuel
- 22:56Speaker 1: Brubaker shared that she had been hospitalized for roughly six
- 23:00Speaker 1: months at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, and this
- 23:06Speaker 1: came after a terrifying incident the previous year when a
- 23:10Speaker 1: camper found in the Vada Woo I think I said
- 23:14Speaker 1: that right recreation near Laramie. She was nearly starved and
- 23:20Speaker 1: suffering exposure to the elements. Shanna's mental health struggles became very,
- 23:27Speaker 1: very apparent five years ago following a tragic event that
- 23:32Speaker 1: changed her life. Now, I could not find the details
- 23:36Speaker 1: about that tragic event, and that's okay because we don't
- 23:39Speaker 1: need to know. All we need to know is that
- 23:41Speaker 1: she suffered something very traumatic. Shanna was known as a
- 23:46Speaker 1: loving caregiver. She was gentle. She was a compassionate woman
- 23:52Speaker 1: who often put others before herself. She had lived on
- 23:58Speaker 1: and off with friends and family and me and Northern Colorado, always,
- 24:03Speaker 1: you know, trying to retain and regain that stability. When
- 24:08Speaker 1: Shanna vanished, police began their investigation in Cheyenne, but there's
- 24:15Speaker 1: been no confirmed sighting since that April. She was last
- 24:19Speaker 1: seen wearing a denim jacket, green tinny shoes, and she
- 24:23Speaker 1: stands about five foot six, weighing around one hundred and
- 24:27Speaker 1: twenty pounds with brown hair. Shanna's family fear she may
- 24:31Speaker 1: have wandered off on foot. Her brother says she's known
- 24:35Speaker 1: to walk long distances in hitchhike, which puts her at
- 24:39Speaker 1: a greater risk, especially given her vulnerable state of mind. Guys,
- 24:47Speaker 1: that is so heartbreaking now, loved ones, They describe her
