- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The rex was
- 0:06Speaker 2: not chasing the jeep.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Murray, Murray, you there. You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go
- 0:11Speaker 1: to eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Wow that Prime time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 2: Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 1: to commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 2: the game.
- 0:29Speaker 1: You're listening just to gotsen Company. It is to Gods
- 0:33Speaker 1: and Company, presented by FanDuel and the FanDuel Sportsbook. No
- 0:36Speaker 1: radio today. This is all you get. This is it
- 0:39Speaker 1: right here. This is what you're getting. We'll get a
- 0:42Speaker 1: h We'll get Michelle Beadle on in a little bit,
- 0:44Speaker 1: and I have we can observations coming up here in
- 0:46Speaker 1: about fifteen minutes. This is such a happy time for Israel.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Goody ares because I think we all want to start
- 0:54Speaker 1: with the MBA. I mean, here we are, we have
- 0:57Speaker 1: we have arrived at the final late and the NBA
- 0:59Speaker 1: is finally he got exciting about that.
- 1:02Speaker 4: It's exciting.
- 1:02Speaker 5: Although if we really want to talk something that's going
- 1:05Speaker 5: to interest the people. We just go right back to Russini.
- 1:07Speaker 5: But I guess NBA second place.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Listen. I am now addicted to talking about Diana Rossini.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I talked about it over the weekend. I exchanged text
- 1:16Speaker 1: with her. I'm trying to give her some space here,
- 1:18Speaker 1: but I did say, Man, now I get why everyone's
- 1:21Speaker 1: talking about you. Our average videos get like two three
- 1:24Speaker 1: thousand views, and the video we did your segment twenty
- 1:28Speaker 1: five thousand views. I'm not going to stop talking about it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: It's like a drug. Rucini is a drug. Just put
- 1:35Speaker 1: it in the description and we're good.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Right, Taylor, Hey, but Stuan in to get it again.
- 1:43Speaker 5: They talked about Versini and that's it.
- 1:45Speaker 2: I'll change the name of the show to Rassini. I
- 1:47Speaker 2: don't care change my name. I mean Stuccini about that.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I was going to go with Rucini to make it,
- 1:59Speaker 4: but never.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeh is he.
- 2:01Speaker 1: We have Nixon six Ers today at me, Taylor, we're
- 2:04Speaker 1: very excited big series.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Knicks are at home at the Mecca.
- 2:09Speaker 1: How we arrived at Nick sixers, though, I think I
- 2:12Speaker 1: feel like it's far more interesting today than the actual series.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't like to preview series, and I like to
- 2:18Speaker 1: react to these games. But how we arrived at the
- 2:21Speaker 1: Celtics being up three to one in that series?
- 2:24Speaker 2: Tell me if I'm wrong on this?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Is he Because that series started off and Edgecombe was
- 2:29Speaker 1: their number two. Maxie was the number one, Edgecombe was
- 2:32Speaker 1: the number two, and then out of nowhere, okay, Maxy
- 2:37Speaker 1: went to number two. Edgecombe went to number four because
- 2:40Speaker 1: in beat came in he's number one and Paul George
- 2:42Speaker 1: is three. And when those are your top four players,
- 2:45Speaker 1: that's a different team and a really good team and
- 2:48Speaker 1: a difficult team for the Knicks to beat.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Here, well, I kind of keep on a number straight,
- 2:54Speaker 5: but I think I think I.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Want going to do it again slowly I could do
- 2:56Speaker 1: it against So when the series started, option was Maxi,
- 3:01Speaker 1: number two option was edge Comb, and then out of nowhere,
- 3:04Speaker 1: Embiid became the number one option. Would shove Maxi to
- 3:08Speaker 1: the number two option. And then George came back, He's
- 3:11Speaker 1: the third option. And then all of a sudden, Edgecombe,
- 3:13Speaker 1: who was your two option, is now your four option.
- 3:16Speaker 1: How about that?
- 3:16Speaker 3: Has Kelly had been the fifth since hard time?
- 3:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah?
- 3:21Speaker 5: If you get the ubre, you're not feeling good about yourselves.
- 3:24Speaker 5: Here's the problem. The out of nowhere that you're talking
- 3:26Speaker 5: about is Joel Embiid showed up.
- 3:28Speaker 4: He wasn't there for he wasn't there, and.
- 3:30Speaker 1: George he I mean he does help Paul George.
- 3:33Speaker 5: Well, when right, that's the difference, Right, if you have
- 3:35Speaker 5: Joel Embiid, you have your MVP candidate right in the middle.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Then all of a sudden, Tyrese Maxey is an amazing
- 3:41Speaker 5: number two. I think that's where we left him, an
- 3:43Speaker 5: amazing number two. And then Paul George. If Paul George
- 3:47Speaker 5: is your third option, and he is, like I said
- 3:49Speaker 5: last week, at least playing at the equivalent in terms
- 3:52Speaker 5: of ability and efficiency of Jalen Brown, you're the better
- 3:56Speaker 5: team out there.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:57Speaker 5: And then so I'm curious what you guys thought, because
- 4:01Speaker 5: I don't like to be that person that questions the
- 4:03Speaker 5: dude's injuries.
- 4:05Speaker 4: But if I'm going to miss a Game seven right in.
- 4:08Speaker 5: The first round that I'm supposed to, you know, walk through,
- 4:13Speaker 5: you better have something in that injury report more, I
- 4:17Speaker 5: don't know, threatening than stiffness. Jason Tatum missed Game seven
- 4:23Speaker 5: with knee stiffness. Now I'm sure it was legitimate, right,
- 4:28Speaker 5: you got the coach saying hey, I'm the one who
- 4:30Speaker 5: told them not to play, and the doctors and it
- 4:32Speaker 5: was very but tell me what it is then, like,
- 4:35Speaker 5: show tell me the ligament that is partially torn or something,
- 4:39Speaker 5: because if you're coming back with knee stiffness and you're
- 4:42Speaker 5: Jason Tatum, it's just a bad.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Look for him. It's a lack of guts.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Stup.
- 4:47Speaker 3: This is why I praise Lebron James because Lebron James
- 4:50Speaker 3: is forty one years old. He wakes up with stiffness every.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Day exactly, yes, yeah, and he's right back out there
- 4:57Speaker 1: the next night. You're right, yeah, And.
- 5:00Speaker 5: So I think that, you know, set a bad toad
- 5:02Speaker 5: for the Celtics there. But I think if you look
- 5:05Speaker 5: at yeah, if you look at the roster, if you
- 5:07Speaker 5: look at the way they were playing, and you look
- 5:09Speaker 5: at Jason Tatum on the bench, I mean that kind
- 5:11Speaker 5: of felt like that team, the Sixers team was just
- 5:14Speaker 5: finding its way as in this series, and now they
- 5:18Speaker 5: look scary and it's the most interesting series. So like,
- 5:22Speaker 5: if you rank the series that we got left Stu
- 5:24Speaker 5: the fourth series.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Yes, I love that has to be number one. That's
- 5:28Speaker 1: number one. Over well, I guess Lakers without talkics, right.
- 5:32Speaker 5: No, no, no, no, I think Lakers is third, Like I
- 5:34Speaker 5: think that's at least third interesting because.
- 5:36Speaker 2: You don't No, no, no, it is.
- 5:37Speaker 1: He I'm saying, if I gave you Luca to start
- 5:39Speaker 1: the series, would you put Lakers Spurs number one? No,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I'd still put five second.
- 5:45Speaker 5: I'm still putting them second because I think I think
- 5:49Speaker 5: Sorry Knicks Sixers just has a juice. It's not only
- 5:53Speaker 5: the Knicks have just coming off of AE hundred point win,
- 5:57Speaker 5: but you've got the seventy six ers feeling like they
- 5:59Speaker 5: can actually do something like uh and so yeah, I
- 6:02Speaker 5: think that's the number one. I would say, if you know,
- 6:05Speaker 5: if they're healthy, Spurs Timberwolves is probably second most intriguing
- 6:09Speaker 5: because you got Wemby versus Anthony Edwards, and then if
- 6:13Speaker 5: you have a healthy Luca by the end of that series,
- 6:16Speaker 5: maybe Laker Spurs is right up there with those three.
- 6:19Speaker 4: But I think Nick's Nick Sixers has the juice.
- 6:22Speaker 1: So what if Anthony Edwards because you don't get that,
- 6:25Speaker 1: are you getting that in game one? Because it seems
- 6:27Speaker 1: like Edwards, if he returns, is not going to return
- 6:29Speaker 1: until like game three, Game four.
- 6:31Speaker 5: He's listed as questionable, so if it was Jason Tatum,
- 6:33Speaker 5: he'd probably be out.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But yeah, Anthony, by the way.
- 6:36Speaker 2: There should be a rule. There should be a rule.
- 6:38Speaker 1: If EMBIID plays in game seven, you play in game seven.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's right, that guy.
- 6:44Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, don't don't let that reputation shift from
- 6:47Speaker 5: EMBIID to you, because it'll happen pretty soon, especially Jason Tatum.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Everybody wants to jump all over Jason Tatum, the man
- 6:54Speaker 5: with the least amount of aura anywhere in the league.
- 6:57Speaker 2: But his buddy, his running mate s dud.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Did you see this?
- 6:59Speaker 5: Jalen went on his Twitch stream and went off, did
- 7:02Speaker 5: you see about what?
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yes, about the referees, about EMBIID, about flopping. He should
- 7:08Speaker 1: be ashamed of himself. Seriously thinks that about you were
- 7:10Speaker 1: up three to one. I mean seriously, you've been in
- 7:13Speaker 1: the MVP conversation the entire season. You know what people
- 7:16Speaker 1: in the MVP conversation don't do, complain about referees, officials,
- 7:20Speaker 1: EMBIID flopping after they lose and blow a three to one.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Seriously terrible.
- 7:26Speaker 5: Yeah, a few of the things that he said, just
- 7:27Speaker 5: to quote them, he said, Joe Labie's the great player,
- 7:29Speaker 5: one of the best bigs in basketball history.
- 7:31Speaker 2: But he flops. He knows it. They say't breaking news.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It is what it is.
- 7:35Speaker 5: And then he talked about and this is something that
- 7:37Speaker 5: really strikes a nerve with me, Stu. He talked about
- 7:40Speaker 5: getting called for these pushoffs as offensive fouls, which most
- 7:44Speaker 5: people in basketball universe want to see Shay Gil just
- 7:48Speaker 5: Alexander get called for more often and in general, it
- 7:53Speaker 5: is just And this is what's annoying to me because
- 7:55Speaker 5: I kind of agree with Jaya Brown.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Jayleen Brown got called for twice.
- 7:58Speaker 5: As many offensive files and anybody else in the first round,
- 8:00Speaker 5: and most of that had to do with that push
- 8:02Speaker 5: off move.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And it's such a ridiculous.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Thing that it's become a move, a quote unquote move
- 8:09Speaker 5: in the NBA to shove that guy off of you. Frankly,
- 8:12Speaker 5: I blame Michael Jordan Game six against Utah Jazz nineteen
- 8:15Speaker 5: ninety eight.
- 8:16Speaker 1: That was the move.
- 8:16Speaker 5: And now all of a sudden, everybody's like, well, if
- 8:18Speaker 5: it's not an offensive foul, I'm gonna do it too,
- 8:20Speaker 5: And so now it's become a move and it's just
- 8:23Speaker 5: really annoying because the referees are just deciding how much
- 8:26Speaker 5: an advantage did you get with that push off. If
- 8:29Speaker 5: you got too much of an advantage, that's an offensive foul.
- 8:32Speaker 5: But if you got just enough and you didn't extend
- 8:35Speaker 5: your arm, that's not an offensive foul. And if you
- 8:37Speaker 5: go back and look at Jalen Brown's I would say
- 8:39Speaker 5: most of them are right on that line, super questionable.
- 8:42Speaker 5: So if he's getting called for twice as many, I
- 8:45Speaker 5: would say I would feel like the referees had agenda,
- 8:47Speaker 5: an agenda against me as well. And so even though
- 8:50Speaker 5: it sounds like, you know, cry baby stuff from him
- 8:53Speaker 5: after being up three to one, it's pretty legitimate. And
- 8:56Speaker 5: I think that whole offensive or that whole move should
- 8:59Speaker 5: be taken out of the game.
- 9:00Speaker 1: General. Odd time to be blaming Michael Jordan about anything.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I mean, you know, it came out. It was just
- 9:08Speaker 1: as soon as I said it. I was just like,
- 9:10Speaker 1: why did I say that? I didn't really need to
- 9:11Speaker 1: say that, But it is if he doesn't, if he
- 9:13Speaker 1: doesn't push off in that spot or hospital left with
- 9:15Speaker 1: the Utah Jazz is the NBA champions, and who wanted
- 9:18Speaker 1: to see that? Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody, all.
- 9:22Speaker 5: You would get in that scenario would have been a
- 9:23Speaker 5: game seven, no guarantee.
- 9:25Speaker 2: That Jordan would have dominated, Yes by pushing off.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Right, what did you guys think about Jalen Brown on
- 9:31Speaker 3: the same stream saying that this was his favorite year
- 9:33Speaker 3: of basketball, the year that didn't include Jason Tatum, the
- 9:37Speaker 3: year that he was the number one on the Celtics,
- 9:40Speaker 3: and it wasn't a year that ended with a title
- 9:43Speaker 3: and with him winning the finals MVP. It just seemed
- 9:46Speaker 3: like an odd shot kind of it's.
- 9:48Speaker 1: A bad look.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it is a let's just call it a selfish look,
- 9:53Speaker 5: because the whether or not Jason Tatum was there. If
- 9:57Speaker 5: it's your best year because you had your best year,
- 10:00Speaker 5: your team did not, you're thinking of yourself more than
- 10:02Speaker 5: an Now. You know, he could argue that he found
- 10:06Speaker 5: his place in the league this year, right, because people
- 10:08Speaker 5: found the respect that they should have for him. Maybe
- 10:10Speaker 5: he found his voice because he says a lot of
- 10:12Speaker 5: stuff now even though he's going to get fined for
- 10:14Speaker 5: this stuff, it's not like he's going to get away
- 10:16Speaker 5: with it. So I do think that it was a
- 10:19Speaker 5: good year for him personally, and I get that, but no,
- 10:22Speaker 5: you're right, like, if you're the team guy, you got
- 10:23Speaker 5: to say, oh, nope, we lost in the first round.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Not a great year for me.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's also natural. You guys laugh at me
- 10:29Speaker 1: all the time when we talk about this stuff. Whether
- 10:31Speaker 1: guys you know they're rooting for their team to not
- 10:33Speaker 1: be successful when they're not there. No, you're right. Jalen
- 10:37Speaker 1: Brown was finally getting recognition as an MVP candidate, as
- 10:42Speaker 1: a guy who could be a number one on a
- 10:44Speaker 1: team that could possibly go to the NBA Finals. And
- 10:47Speaker 1: you know what, he enjoyed it for a season because
- 10:50Speaker 1: he knows it's never going to be there again, because
- 10:52Speaker 1: Jason Tatum is now bad and presumably healthy moving forward here,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and so we enjoyed it for a season. I guarantee you,
- 11:00Speaker 1: honest moment, Scottie Pippen will tell you that the best
- 11:03Speaker 1: season he had was the year Jordan want to play baseball.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Pippen went to the Eastern Conference semi finals. They should have.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Beaten the Knicks. He was in the MVP conversation.
- 11:14Speaker 1: They won six titles, they went back to back to
- 11:17Speaker 1: back twice, And I guarantee you, Scottie Pippen's favorite season
- 11:22Speaker 1: was the season Jordan wasn't there.
- 11:24Speaker 2: How about that So do you think this gets revisit?
- 11:26Speaker 5: A couple of things get revisited over there, Stu because
- 11:29Speaker 5: of this. Do you think that they consider breaking those
- 11:33Speaker 5: two up again? Because you know, we talk about it
- 11:36Speaker 5: every year that they don't win a title, And where
- 11:37Speaker 5: are we bring out Horford back? I mean we bring
- 11:39Speaker 5: out Horford back up? Always an option?
- 11:42Speaker 2: Right?
- 11:43Speaker 5: Or are we gonna start questioning Joe Mazzula. Now we're
- 11:45Speaker 5: gonna blame him for the Celtic style of play, even
- 11:47Speaker 5: though they were playing this style before he started coaching them.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, when they lose and he goes
- 11:51Speaker 1: to that podium, he sounds like a quack.
- 11:55Speaker 2: You never know what's gonna come out of his mouth.
- 11:57Speaker 1: You never do.
- 12:00Speaker 2: But when he wins, he sounds like a genius.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Coach of the Year, first round out.
- 12:06Speaker 5: He hates that award. He's gonna hate that award forever.
- 12:08Speaker 5: He probably won't even show up for it. So what
- 12:10Speaker 5: do you think they do?
- 12:11Speaker 3: Is he?
- 12:12Speaker 2: I don't think they break it up to you.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I think they have to add they lost Drew Holliday,
- 12:15Speaker 1: they lost Al Horford, they lost some pieces to a
- 12:18Speaker 1: championship winning team.
- 12:19Speaker 5: You know, the only way that they do anything to
- 12:23Speaker 5: break this up. I would say, is if suddenly they
- 12:26Speaker 5: have their opinion changed on either of these guys, and
- 12:28Speaker 5: so why would their opinion go toward the negative? And
- 12:31Speaker 5: Jaylen Brown, I don't think it would. Why would their
- 12:33Speaker 5: opinion go toward the negative? And Jason Tatum, I don't know.
- 12:37Speaker 5: I mean, I think he's showed more positive than negative
- 12:39Speaker 5: coming back from this Achilles this year and putting up
- 12:42Speaker 5: the numbers that he did. It just so happens in
- 12:44Speaker 5: these pressure situations. There's always a reason, but he kind
- 12:48Speaker 5: of always gives you a reason to question him.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Is that enough of a reason to get rid of him?
- 12:52Speaker 4: I don't think so. They've won a title with him.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I feel like the conversation is less about Brown and
- 12:56Speaker 3: Tatum and more around that supporting crew, because what happened
- 13:00Speaker 3: to Derek White in that series?
- 13:02Speaker 1: He was bad. I know he had twenty six yesterday,
- 13:04Speaker 1: but it was on five of sixteen, from three to
- 13:06Speaker 1: nine to twenty six from the Fields, he was bad.
- 13:08Speaker 5: I was watching that whole series saying he doesn't look right,
- 13:11Speaker 5: like health wise, he just his gait doesn't look right.
- 13:13Speaker 5: But then I was saying, oh, maybe he'd always run
- 13:15Speaker 5: like this, ran like this, and I didn't really.
- 13:17Speaker 2: Notice, but he just doesn't look right.
- 13:18Speaker 5: And I think this is he's one of those guys
- 13:20Speaker 5: that's not going to say anything if he is injured,
- 13:22Speaker 5: and you know, the Joe Mizzola team probably gonna encourage
- 13:24Speaker 5: that to just tough it out and don't say anything.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I don't think he looked right, and it's fair to
- 13:29Speaker 5: say that he looked.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Because he is right.
- 13:36Speaker 5: He's one of the best supportive players in the league,
- 13:39Speaker 5: and so for him to have like multiple games or
- 13:41Speaker 5: he's off, that's just he didn't seem right.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And so I wouldn't move away from Derek White, that's
- 13:46Speaker 2: for sure.
- 13:48Speaker 1: No, but he's better When Drew Holliday is your third
- 13:50Speaker 1: best player, gets back to the sixers year, and then's
- 13:53Speaker 1: White back to your fourth scoring option. Right, that's a
- 13:56Speaker 1: better team they needed to listen, they need Did you
- 13:59Speaker 1: see the starting far I'm Mazola through out there yesterday?
- 14:01Speaker 3: It was crazy.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Ron Harper's son was.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Playing right, and he just wanted to know to keep
- 14:06Speaker 5: sort of the rotations correct. But yeah, I don't know
- 14:09Speaker 5: the people that I question on that rotation, like Peyton Pritchard,
- 14:14Speaker 5: if he's not hitting with great efficiency.
- 14:18Speaker 4: I don't know how you know.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Championship ready that guy is, and in terms of a rotation,
- 14:24Speaker 5: people will always try to take advantage of him defensively.
- 14:28Speaker 2: I love Sam Hauser as a shooter.
- 14:30Speaker 5: But it's a little in the Duncan Robinson mold where
- 14:34Speaker 5: if you're not going to give me a complete package
- 14:36Speaker 5: as a basketball player, can I upgrade from you? I
- 14:39Speaker 5: probably can, So you start looking at spots like that,
- 14:42Speaker 5: But then you're gonna, you know, that's what they do.
- 14:45Speaker 5: They shoot a bunch of threes, and so you need
- 14:47Speaker 5: those guys that are wanting and willing to shoot a
- 14:49Speaker 5: bunch of three. So either they're gonna, you know, take
- 14:51Speaker 5: a little hard look at their philosophy or maybe.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Just upgrade with players in general.
- 14:56Speaker 1: At the three fifths of their starting five didn't score
- 14:58Speaker 1: a point. I mean, it was an odd hot and
- 15:00Speaker 1: the tinker with the line up that way.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Well, Ron Harper and Luca Gars that were just token starters.
- 15:04Speaker 5: They played a total thirteen minutes.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Well shireman, I mean, that's the dude that at the
- 15:09Speaker 2: end of.
- 15:09Speaker 5: The season had a ridiculous stat game. I forget what
- 15:12Speaker 5: the numbers were, And yeah, you got to give you
- 15:14Speaker 5: better than.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Oh for four bro creating legends?
- 15:17Speaker 2: Is he really a Creton legend?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Shireman? Yea?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Who who do you have? His big game?
- 15:22Speaker 1: Again? So other players, other teams who weren't playing their starters.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I mean like it was the final game of the season,
- 15:28Speaker 5: so you can imagine here, I'll tell you right now,
- 15:30Speaker 5: Okay you actually no, I take that back. It was
- 15:33Speaker 5: against an Orlando Magic team that needed the win. That's
- 15:36Speaker 5: why it was shocking. The Orlando Magic team that needed
- 15:39Speaker 5: that win to stay out of the play and potentially
- 15:41Speaker 5: and Shireman had thirty points and seven rebounds and seven assists.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Well that's a reason to start them in a big
- 15:46Speaker 2: game seven?
- 15:49Speaker 6: Is he?
- 15:49Speaker 3: How much of the excitement with Nick's sixers comes because
- 15:54Speaker 3: of the previous beef between Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony
- 15:59Speaker 3: Towns where they got ejected for like fighting each other
- 16:02Speaker 3: in a game, and then they went back and forth
- 16:04Speaker 3: on social media where Karl Anthony Towns posted a picture
- 16:08Speaker 3: on Instagram basically calling out Joel Embiid, and then Joel
- 16:13Speaker 3: Embiid came back and was like, I own you do
- 16:15Speaker 3: it in the playoffs, and it seems like they've played
- 16:19Speaker 3: since and it's kind of got squashed, But now those
- 16:22Speaker 3: posts are going viral again on social media, being like,
- 16:25Speaker 3: oh remember when they were going back and forth calling
- 16:27Speaker 3: each other, you know, some pretty harsh terms.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's huge.
- 16:31Speaker 5: I think any big man matchup for Joel Embiid where
- 16:34Speaker 5: it just seems like that other person is going to
- 16:37Speaker 5: feed into it, whether it be like a Rudy Gobert
- 16:40Speaker 5: who does or in this case, you know, Karl Anthony
- 16:43Speaker 5: Towns is not going to sit back and just let
- 16:44Speaker 5: Joel Embiid say and do whatever he wants, like this
- 16:47Speaker 5: is going to be a battle. And so yeah, I
- 16:49Speaker 5: think anytime you're talking about this part of the reason
- 16:52Speaker 5: I say it has juice. It's not just the Knicks
- 16:54Speaker 5: have to get to the finals to match their expectations.
- 16:57Speaker 2: The Sixers have to get out of the first out
- 16:59Speaker 2: of the second round.
- 17:00Speaker 5: Yeah, sometime, like eventually in Joel Embiid's career, have to.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Get out of the second round.
- 17:05Speaker 5: So this is just a huge Like the Sixers can say, hey,
- 17:08Speaker 5: we've surpassed you Nicks, and you were supposed to be
- 17:10Speaker 5: better and you were supposed to be a finals team.
- 17:12Speaker 5: Break that up, and we did that to you. Or
- 17:15Speaker 5: the other way around, where it's the Knicks are going
- 17:16Speaker 5: to say, hey, Joel Embiid, you're still not getting out
- 17:19Speaker 5: of the second round.
- 17:20Speaker 3: So Stu I found the tweets. They're from twenty nineteen.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Carl Anthony Towns posted on Twitter a video pictures of
- 17:28Speaker 3: him and Joel Embiid going at it and that meme
- 17:31Speaker 3: of Joel Embiid crying after losing in the playoffs, and
- 17:34Speaker 3: Carl Anthony Town's caption was I ain't no bitch raised
- 17:38Speaker 3: around lions then a bunch of clown face emojis.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's where it came from.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that was.
- 17:43Speaker 3: That was at one five am on October.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Wow, yep, that's early on October.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Twenty minutes later, Joel Embiid tweeted at two fifteen am
- 17:53Speaker 3: that tough guy act ain't cutting it. You know what
- 17:56Speaker 3: you are, You know what You've always been a pussy
- 18:00Speaker 3: Say it louder for the people in the back. Been
- 18:02Speaker 3: kicking your ass and pretty please make the playoffs before
- 18:06Speaker 3: you talk. It's a known thing that I own you.
- 18:10Speaker 5: You know it's not gonna make the Karl Anthony Towns
- 18:13Speaker 5: tough guy act see many better right about now?
- 18:16Speaker 4: What guess who had a cameo in Delaware's pro too, Carl.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Anthony Towns, your favorite movie, Anthony Towns is there at
- 18:26Speaker 1: a little summer party having a drink and it was
- 18:28Speaker 1: just like, oh wow, look a cat leaning into the allegations.
- 18:31Speaker 5: And Bed would never not that movie, right, that movie?
- 18:35Speaker 5: Maybe one of the Fast and Furious is, but not
- 18:37Speaker 5: that movie. It'd be too hurt to show up to
- 18:39Speaker 5: the set. I mean that guy's got a team of doctors.
- 18:41Speaker 1: He does.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Philadelphia has their own.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Team of doctors, and then Embiid has a separate medical
- 18:46Speaker 1: staff just for him, just to stretch him out.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I'm so excited for this series. But the Knicks would
- 18:52Speaker 1: have preferred Boston, right, Is that fair? Is he just
- 18:54Speaker 1: in their current state? Correct?
- 18:56Speaker 4: I think they think that they know how to beat Boston.
- 18:59Speaker 1: You and I think you know, they said their team
- 19:01Speaker 1: was built to be Boston. That's what they said at
- 19:03Speaker 1: Roster was built to be Boston, which they did a
- 19:04Speaker 1: year ago, right, right?
- 19:05Speaker 5: I think this is better for the NBA just because
- 19:08Speaker 5: it's refreshing, it's a little different, and you know, again
- 19:11Speaker 5: puts this rediscovered pressure onto Joel Embiid, which you know
- 19:16Speaker 5: this guy's an MVP, and normally that's what we expect
- 19:18Speaker 5: of guys to carry your team past the second round
- 19:21Speaker 5: into the play through the playoffs, into the finals, and
- 19:23Speaker 5: he's getting a chance here.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Taylor, how you feel and headed into the series. I'm
- 19:28Speaker 1: a little bit nervous, I gotta be honest. Yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 3: One, I'm worried about the Quentin Grimes revenge series factor.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Yeah, there's always that.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Yeah, And I'm kind of stuck with who I would
- 19:40Speaker 3: have rather preferred to play, because on paper, you would
- 19:43Speaker 3: have rather played the Celtics there they don't really have
- 19:46Speaker 3: many answers on the interior, But I think that there
- 19:50Speaker 3: is a worry there where you play the Celtics and
- 19:52Speaker 3: all of a sudden, the championship team remembers that they
- 19:55Speaker 3: were a championship team, even if it's very different. Pieces
- 19:58Speaker 3: still the core of that team, Derek White, Tatum Brown.
- 20:02Speaker 3: And then you have a team like Philadelphia who feels
- 20:05Speaker 3: like they struggle getting over the hump and wanting to
- 20:09Speaker 3: play that team, but looking at their pieces and being
- 20:11Speaker 3: like Tyrese Maxie is going to be a problem for
- 20:15Speaker 3: whoever guards him for the Knicks.
- 20:17Speaker 5: It's also a completely different look in terms of opponent
- 20:20Speaker 5: for the Knicks, right, because what was the big advantage
- 20:23Speaker 5: for the Knicks against the Hawks was their size, Like
- 20:25Speaker 5: the Hawks couldn't match up size wise. Now you're looking
- 20:28Speaker 5: at a Sixers team that definitely can with you know,
- 20:32Speaker 5: Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond coming off the bench. So
- 20:35Speaker 5: I think it's gonna take a bit of an adjustment,
- 20:38Speaker 5: and it's fair to be nervous going into Game one
- 20:41Speaker 5: because the Sixers look at Game one like, hey, we're
- 20:43Speaker 5: coming off of a Game seven. If we steal game one, great,
- 20:46Speaker 5: but let's just go out there and play loose and
- 20:49Speaker 5: just get adjusted to the series. If the Knicks lose
- 20:51Speaker 5: that first one, it's gonna be nerve wracking.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd prefer the Sixers team from Games one and
- 20:56Speaker 1: two of the Celtics series, or the Celtic team from
- 20:58Speaker 1: you know, yesterday. I'm looking at it.
- 21:02Speaker 5: The last time they played it was actually pretty earlier
- 21:06Speaker 5: in the season. I think both teams were like forty
- 21:08Speaker 5: four games into the season and it looked like everybody
- 21:11Speaker 5: was healthy and it was a three point Nicks win
- 21:13Speaker 5: in Philly, and so yeah, I think this is going
- 21:16Speaker 5: to be a pretty phenomenal series.
- 21:18Speaker 2: No one's talking about the other series in the East.
- 21:23Speaker 5: You know what I was doing instead of watching the
- 21:25Speaker 5: Game seven between the Cavs and the Raptors, watching Devilware's
- 21:27Speaker 5: Product too where you really?
- 21:29Speaker 2: That wasn't word about missing it at all?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Was the sequel as good as the original? Rocky two
- 21:35Speaker 1: of clips? Rocky? For me? So what?
- 21:36Speaker 2: It rarely happens?
- 21:37Speaker 1: And I'm wondering because you love the Devilwaar's Product, it's
- 21:40Speaker 1: one of your favorite movies, if not your favorite movie.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Did the sequel live up to the expectations.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Let's just be clear.
- 21:46Speaker 5: My favorite movie is almost famous. Devilware's Pride is not
- 21:49Speaker 5: even in my top ten, but it's a great, rewatchable movie.
- 21:53Speaker 5: The sequel I thought was perfect, Mike, I thought they
- 21:57Speaker 5: did it absolutely perfectly.
- 21:58Speaker 2: They didn't make it overly cheesy.
- 21:59Speaker 5: They basically hit a lot of the same you know,
- 22:02Speaker 5: plot notes from the first one, but did it just
- 22:04Speaker 5: differently enough to keep you interested. You know, the acting
- 22:07Speaker 5: was great. They didn't make it like I said, there
- 22:09Speaker 5: was no like cheese elements. It was no like cringe
- 22:12Speaker 5: e o. They did that just because of the reference
- 22:14Speaker 5: or whatever. I thought was pretty well done.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Mikey, what are you smiling at over there?
- 22:18Speaker 1: Just what you thought? Devil the Devil worst Broad It
- 22:21Speaker 1: was his favorite movie, right I did? I mean, I'm
- 22:24Speaker 1: I'm shocked to find out it's not.
- 22:26Speaker 2: I mean I thought we said it right. Yes, Yeah, he.
- 22:29Speaker 7: Has mentioned it, I think two or three times a
- 22:32Speaker 7: week for the last like six weeks.
- 22:34Speaker 5: Because of this, it's also very prefortable and you know,
- 22:36Speaker 5: it just happens to be in my mind.

- 26:10Speaker 1: NBA. How do you say Aussie fun like that? Easy?
- 26:14Speaker 1: Oh it's easy, Ozzy Tomato. I mean, come on, Calves Raptors,
- 26:20Speaker 1: please tell me it's over. It finally ended. Yes, Calves Raptors,
- 26:25Speaker 1: the rare time were game seven?
- 26:27Speaker 3: Is it?
- 26:28Speaker 1: The best two words in sports? At one point even
- 26:32Speaker 1: Abby turned to me and said, those two again, is
- 26:37Speaker 1: so predictable?
- 26:38Speaker 5: Like I said, I was watching Delaware's Product to get out,
- 26:40Speaker 5: got out of the movie, turned on the game on
- 26:42Speaker 5: my phone, a twenty point game.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I was like, thank goodness, didn't even have to watch that.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Calves Raptors, the rare series that ended without ever starting.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, how about yeah? Yeah, it's rare.
- 26:56Speaker 1: Yes, if we never started, and what we miss absolutely nothing,
- 27:00Speaker 1: Cavs Raptors. You could take the game off NBA TV,
- 27:04Speaker 1: but you can't take the NBA TV off the game.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So stinky, that's so good, Joel Embiid was over three
- 27:16Speaker 1: in Game seven.
- 27:17Speaker 2: You of course know what that means.
- 27:19Speaker 3: Is he?
- 27:19Speaker 6: He?
- 27:20Speaker 1: He was, dude, he was look at you, Yes he
- 27:23Speaker 1: was due Jason Tatum. That noise you heard was every
- 27:27Speaker 1: hockey player plus Joel Embiid laughing at you. Stiffness, get
- 27:34Speaker 1: out of here. You can't see that. I mean, he's
- 27:36Speaker 1: too young for sniffness.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Most guys pray to wake up with stiffness.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Boston Celtics twenty three of sixty nine from three in
- 27:46Speaker 1: game six en Game seven.
- 27:48Speaker 2: You know what they say is he? Yes, live by
- 27:52Speaker 2: the three, die by the three.
- 27:57Speaker 4: I need a litter of mind about that one size, dude.
- 27:59Speaker 2: That's right.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Early in a Monday, Celtics blowing a three to one
- 28:02Speaker 1: series lead for the first time in franchise history. You
- 28:06Speaker 1: know what they say, is he the doc Rivers are
- 28:08Speaker 1: strong in them, first time in franchise history, first time
- 28:14Speaker 1: for everything.
- 28:18Speaker 2: You gottagnow the doc Rivers joke with a good one too.
- 28:21Speaker 1: It was when Joe Mozula wins, he sounds like a genius.
- 28:25Speaker 1: When Joe Mizula loses, he sounds like a fool, like
- 28:29Speaker 1: a Joe Missoula. More like Joe maffula. I sent that
- 28:36Speaker 1: to Tailor and he sent me some bed game shows
- 28:39Speaker 1: out laughter back.
- 28:41Speaker 2: He didn't like it. I mean, wow, that's what he
- 28:44Speaker 2: sent me.
- 28:45Speaker 1: He sent me. I'm just picturing you in an open
- 28:50Speaker 1: mic night with three people in the crowd in Boston
- 28:52Speaker 1: and them looking at you very angrily. Joefla this thing.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Yeah, oh god.
- 29:02Speaker 1: It turns out Philly fans were right. They really did
- 29:05Speaker 1: want Boston trust the process. Yeah, I'm tired of him.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Jalen Brown complaining about how flopping has ruined the game
- 29:15Speaker 1: while he himself was flopping. Jalen Brown, Congratulations, the Stu
- 29:20Speaker 1: Gotts is strong in you, team, Jalen. Larry Bird would
- 29:25Speaker 1: never complain about the referees and an opposing player after
- 29:28Speaker 1: blowing a three one series lead.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Is he?
- 29:32Speaker 1: You know what the b and Jalen Brown stands.
- 29:34Speaker 2: For blowing a three to one series lead.
- 29:36Speaker 1: It should not Bird though.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Okay, Nick sixers the rare Eastern.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Conference Final before the Eastern Conference Final?
- 29:48Speaker 2: How about that? Yeah?
- 29:49Speaker 1: Yeah, don't have much faith in the Pistons. Are the caves?
- 29:52Speaker 1: Do you?
- 29:53Speaker 2: No?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Door? I watch? I mean forced me. I'm not going
- 29:56Speaker 1: to watch the Pistons or the caves until I have
- 29:58Speaker 1: to watch them play the next gay.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Joel Embiid get some new material?
- 30:04Speaker 3: Is he?
- 30:05Speaker 1: You know what the e and embiid stands for. No,
- 30:08Speaker 1: it stands for everyone knows. You'll be hurt by game
- 30:11Speaker 1: three anyway.
- 30:15Speaker 5: But he could play in game six like heard limp right,
- 30:19Speaker 5: or seven second half Game seven second half.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Congratulations to Nick fans for drawing the only possible matchup
- 30:26Speaker 1: where they are not the prohibitive favorites for the fan
- 30:28Speaker 1: base to act like the biggest assholes. We're gonna try though. Wow,
- 30:36Speaker 1: battle of terrible fan base, it's just awful. Nick Nurse
- 30:41Speaker 1: versus the New York Knicks. You of course know what
- 30:44Speaker 1: that means, right, Is he a couple of Knicks? Yes,
- 30:47Speaker 1: a couple of half cutting it up. Yes, I'm gonna
- 30:51Speaker 1: tip my cap.
- 30:51Speaker 2: For this guy, I actually am.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna tip my cap a tip of the cap
- 30:56Speaker 1: to John Sterling. Wait a second, is that a tip
- 30:59Speaker 1: or is that a removing of the cap? Well, like,
- 31:02Speaker 1: show me a tip of the cap. It had sense,
- 31:04Speaker 1: and that's the tip of the cap. Took the whole
- 31:07Speaker 1: thing off. I mean that's even more respectful.
- 31:10Speaker 2: I'm sorry to tell you, guys.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Okay, today, John Sterling has passed away.
- 31:13Speaker 2: He's an all time grade.
- 31:14Speaker 1: He's a legend.
- 31:14Speaker 2: He's a Yankee legend.
- 31:16Speaker 3: It is said, voice of a childhood.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the voice of several childhoods, several generations. Yes, Nonna,
- 31:25Speaker 1: I probably wouldn't have done the whole hat thing if
- 31:26Speaker 1: I thought, if I knew this, I had no idea
- 31:29Speaker 1: he had passed away.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I thought maybe he just retired.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna say you had no idea
- 31:33Speaker 2: he was the voice of the Yankees.
- 31:34Speaker 1: No that I knew. Yeah, Okay, I'm not proud to
- 31:37Speaker 1: admit this, but the first thing I thought when John
- 31:40Speaker 1: Sterling died was hammer Yankees World Series futures plus five
- 31:45Speaker 1: point fifty.
- 31:46Speaker 2: They're winning it for Sterling.
- 31:48Speaker 3: They are team of Destiny.
- 31:50Speaker 5: Yeah, and it's still your least favorite Yankees team and
- 31:53Speaker 5: now the team of destiny.
- 31:54Speaker 1: You're running away?
- 31:55Speaker 4: Did you write the conflict for you?
- 31:57Speaker 1: Taylor Canadian winning Game seven with only nine shots on goal,
- 32:03Speaker 1: the fewest in a women in playoff history.
- 32:07Speaker 2: You know what they say is a hm quality over quantity? Really? Yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 2: you can all day.
- 32:16Speaker 5: It's the new one never been In the Weekend Observations, before.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I never know that they say that, you know they do.
- 32:22Speaker 1: They always say that Tampa Bay losing a game seven,
- 32:26Speaker 1: scoring one goal, lightning didn't strike twice. The Panthers have
- 32:31Speaker 1: ruined that franchise.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Hockey in Canada hanging on by a thread.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Oh good for Canada.
- 32:39Speaker 2: They got Montreal. Listen, they care about Montreal.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And the Canadians more than they care about all the
- 32:43Speaker 1: other teams combined. You know, if there's one team they
- 32:46Speaker 1: want advancing against Montreal, is that fair?
- 32:48Speaker 3: Really? Not the Maple Leafs?
- 32:50Speaker 4: No, I think that's more thing.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Yeah, but I think Montreal sort of represents the country
- 32:56Speaker 5: a little bit better.
- 32:57Speaker 2: What do I know?
- 32:58Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah, why are you guys talking like you're the Canadian experts.
- 33:01Speaker 2: All that Toronto?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Like you're the Canadian expert. I just offered up Toronto.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Maybe I'll text ad In who would Canada rather see win?
- 33:11Speaker 3: There you go, he believes Canadians. Whatever he says is final.
- 33:14Speaker 1: All right, fine, do it right now, see if we
- 33:17Speaker 1: can get him by the by the end of weekend observations.
- 33:20Speaker 1: A couple of non experts on Canada cutting it up
- 33:23Speaker 1: about that. So it's just not Winnipegger Vancouver. That's all
- 33:27Speaker 1: we've come up with. Yeah, no, or Edmonton Toronto on right?
- 33:31Speaker 1: Oh that's more huh. I mean Edmonton's out me. David's leaving,
- 33:35Speaker 1: He's gone. Why would he stay? Guy? And by the way,
- 33:38Speaker 1: if he leaves, I'm telling you right now, when he
- 33:40Speaker 1: team he joins, they do not count as Stanley Cups
- 33:42Speaker 1: in my personal record book. You get it done in
- 33:44Speaker 1: Edmonton and you don't get it done at all. How
- 33:46Speaker 1: about that? Well that's up.
- 33:47Speaker 5: Here's the reason for Montreal. They are the winningest franchise
- 33:50Speaker 5: remaining in North American professional sports.
- 33:53Speaker 4: They have twenty four Stanley.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Cup titles, so I'm pretty sure they represent Canada better
- 33:56Speaker 1: than any of those other ones. The habs, Yeah, there
- 33:59Speaker 1: we go, expert.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yes, the ability to make a season disappear is he
- 34:05Speaker 2: That's why they call him the magic.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Hoof The coach is gone.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Magic coach Jamal Mosley, the rare coach to.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Go from hot seat to save this job, to hot
- 34:21Speaker 1: seat to fire all in a single seven game series.
- 34:26Speaker 1: What a roller coaster, Jesus Christ.
- 34:29Speaker 5: And the whole time, his best friend is the coach
- 34:31Speaker 5: for the other team, and he can't talk to him.
- 34:33Speaker 5: The entire series. They promised they wouldn't talk to each
- 34:35Speaker 5: other till the series is over. Now what are they
- 34:37Speaker 5: going to talk about?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yeah, kid cunning Head saying the Magic made them look
- 34:42Speaker 1: at a mirror. The em and magic stands for made
- 34:45Speaker 1: the Pistons look at a mirror. Stupid second time since
- 34:51Speaker 1: two thousand and three, the Magic have blown a three
- 34:53Speaker 1: to one lead to the one seed Pistons. It's Orlando's
- 34:57Speaker 1: equivalent of sawing a person in half. So go to trick.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Gotta pull a rabbit out of a hat. I like
- 35:08Speaker 1: song a person at anthough.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Jalen sugs more like Jalen sucks.
- 35:20Speaker 1: No one got to that yet. I don't know. I'm sorry,
- 35:25Speaker 1: Carolina Hurricanes haven't trailed for a second in the playoffs.
- 35:29Speaker 1: The ancient hurricane stands for haven't trailed for a second
- 35:34Speaker 1: in the playoffs.
- 35:35Speaker 2: You would think I would get used to this pattern,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and you know, I just I can't. I don't know why,
- 35:40Speaker 2: uh tailor anything back from add Dan yet.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Not yet? Oh actually yes, he just responded so very
- 35:46Speaker 3: quick his notifications were silenced. I press notify anyway. Still.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Wow, Yeah, it's kind of a power risk. You could
- 35:54Speaker 1: do that.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Wait, you could do that.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Yeah, there's an option.
- 35:57Speaker 4: Why is that an option? I don't know.
- 35:58Speaker 2: You could break the wall as the sender more powerful
- 36:02Speaker 2: than the sende so.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Ad Nan said, God, great question. Lots of love and
- 36:09Speaker 3: hate for both of those teams, Canadians.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Yeah, thank you, thank Final answer Jalen sucks two of
- 36:16Speaker 5: nine six points.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Jalen sucks.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yes, it turns out the Hurricanes look pretty good when
- 36:25Speaker 1: the Florida Panthers aren't in the playoffs.
- 36:28Speaker 2: You didn't say that to Rod Brenda More when we
- 36:30Speaker 2: had him. Listen, I have am.
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'm not doing this as as a way of bragging,
- 36:35Speaker 1: but there's a Panther, Florida Panther player who lives right
- 36:38Speaker 1: next to me, and he was complaining about his kid's birthday.
- 36:41Speaker 1: And I heard the mom say, just you know, all
- 36:43Speaker 1: the kids were coming over. And I heard the mom say, hey,
- 36:45Speaker 1: you haven't been here in two fucking seasons. This a
- 36:48Speaker 1: lot of the kid, poor Bens, And just like that,
- 36:53Speaker 1: she ripped his heart out, Just like that.
- 36:57Speaker 2: The guy was dressed as a clown, he was doing tramps,
- 37:00Speaker 2: he was all people and a half.
- 37:03Speaker 1: That couldn't be Sam Bennett.
- 37:05Speaker 2: It wasn't the Bennetts. I'm not saying. I'm not naming names. Okay,
- 37:09Speaker 2: not naming names.
- 37:11Speaker 1: It was not Sam Bennett.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Horse racing dead, Although.
- 37:17Speaker 1: That was a great Derby.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Did you see where that winner came from?
- 37:22Speaker 1: Yes? The back? Yes, that's it.
- 37:25Speaker 4: You know, that's the right answer. The back end of story.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Very efficient.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Oh where where where did the winner come from?
- 37:30Speaker 1: No, you're right, the back. That was it. That's all
- 37:32Speaker 1: you needed to know.
- 37:33Speaker 2: It was a dramatically went last the first. It was
- 37:38Speaker 2: a great race.
- 37:39Speaker 4: No horse racing dead.
- 37:40Speaker 1: We have the first female trainer to ever win a
- 37:43Speaker 1: Kentucky Kentucky Derby. Her reaction was absolutely amazing. One of
- 37:46Speaker 1: the great moments I've ever seen. To be honest with you,
- 37:49Speaker 1: horse racing might be back, it might not be dead.
- 37:51Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 37:53Speaker 4: It's more of a roller coaster than Jamal Mosley's.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Talking out the observations on air here and like, maybe
- 37:59Speaker 1: I don't know, Hitler, is it dead? That was a
- 38:01Speaker 1: great Kentucky Derby. I mean, but here's the problem. That
- 38:03Speaker 1: horse doesn't win the Preakness. Then none of us watched
- 38:06Speaker 1: the Belmont Stakes. It's it right, well, even man, I mean,
- 38:09Speaker 1: didn't we just have a triple crown winner not too
- 38:11Speaker 1: long ago.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it would also be very progressive of you, Stuo
- 38:15Speaker 3: to say that women saved horse racing.
- 38:18Speaker 2: That should be the observation.
- 38:21Speaker 1: All it took to save horse racing was a female trainer.
- 38:25Speaker 4: He was a praid to say woman.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Whoa women trainer? A tough one? You know, women the
- 38:31Speaker 2: plural the singular. I don't you know? It's just a
- 38:34Speaker 2: tough one. Speaking of tough ones.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Munataka Morikami, you got it? Wow. Hitting is MLB leading
- 38:44Speaker 1: thirteenth home run the south Side Samurai, great nickname. It
- 38:51Speaker 1: really is pretty good. Headlined Cowboys, Brian Schottenheimer says, it's
- 38:58Speaker 1: scary to think how good George Picking can be. Welcome
- 39:02Speaker 1: to May. That's a May headline for a certain no doubt,
- 39:08Speaker 1: Dustin May, the rare pitcher whose jersey canotes the month
- 39:11Speaker 1: he's pitching in.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Not only last name, but he's number three. So yesterday
- 39:18Speaker 3: his jersey said May three on it, and yesterday was
- 39:22Speaker 3: the third of May.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Wow. Wow, this is what happens when you watch baseball.
- 39:26Speaker 1: You have to find something interesting. Do you know how
- 39:32Speaker 1: bad you have to be at basketball to be seven
- 39:35Speaker 1: to nine and land at u see her Vine. The
- 39:41Speaker 1: ant Eaters.
- 39:44Speaker 4: No longer a Florida Gator, big man on campus.
- 39:47Speaker 1: He always is Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Put the kids to bed. I mean it was nine
- 39:55Speaker 2: to six last night. It was late.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I think that's game that you want your kids to
- 40:01Speaker 5: see if you want them to be, if you want
- 40:04Speaker 5: them to be hockey enthusiasts, bring them.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Out for all the goals. Yeah, I guess like a
- 40:08Speaker 1: soccer game, right. Wasn't there like a five to four
- 40:10Speaker 1: soccer game over the weekend?
- 40:11Speaker 4: Your record setting?
- 40:13Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 40:13Speaker 1: Really was it?
- 40:14Speaker 2: Getting nine goals is the most? It might be Spirit
- 40:22Speaker 2: Air Sorry, Spirit Airlines, end of an era. I'm going
- 40:26Speaker 2: to miss the big seat.
- 40:28Speaker 3: There's no way you ever flown Spirit in your life.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I did once, big seat. I did big seat, first
- 40:33Speaker 1: two rows, no internet, big seat had a toothache.
- 40:36Speaker 2: It was bad, it was It was really bad.
- 40:39Speaker 3: So then, what happened in your life that you had
- 40:41Speaker 3: to fly Spirit.
- 40:42Speaker 1: It's it's a good question, and I don't remember. I
- 40:45Speaker 1: just remember having to do it. I think it was
- 40:47Speaker 1: Vegas toothache. And then I realized that the only people
- 40:50Speaker 1: on the plane were the people sitting in the big seats.
- 40:52Speaker 1: The first two rows, and I had to lay down
- 40:55Speaker 1: because my twothirt and sometimes when you get a toothache,
- 40:57Speaker 1: you have to lay in a certain position for it
- 40:59Speaker 1: to stop hurting. And so I didn't really spend time
- 41:01Speaker 1: in the big seat because I had a whole road
- 41:03Speaker 1: to myself, and I laid down and got my tooth
- 41:05Speaker 1: right in the perfect position.
- 41:07Speaker 4: You have a lot of dental issues, dude, the big
- 41:10Speaker 4: tooth yeap?
- 41:14Speaker 2: Have you sat in the big seat before?
- 41:16Speaker 5: I've never been on a Spirit Airlines anything. I don't
- 41:19Speaker 5: even think i've been in a Spirit Airlines terminal.
- 41:22Speaker 2: If you judge the wrong person, tailor see, you're not
- 41:24Speaker 2: better than me.
- 41:27Speaker 4: I'm certainly not. But I've had a lot more pleasant
- 41:29Speaker 4: flying experiences than you.
- 41:31Speaker 2: Mikey. Have you have you flown Spirit? I don't fit
- 41:34Speaker 2: in a Spirit seat.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Come on, who's gonna take over now?
- 41:41Speaker 2: Allegiance? Is that?
- 41:42Speaker 3: Who?
- 41:42Speaker 1: Uh? Frontierier?
- 41:44Speaker 3: Probably?
- 41:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Frontier? The leading horse in the Jack Garrett to
- 41:50Speaker 1: think right now? The horse something got it, nailed it.
- 41:55Speaker 2: The voice of cheap flights.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I never thought i'd see anything more embarrassing at Texas
- 42:02Speaker 1: A and M then they're yell leaders. Then I saw
- 42:06Speaker 1: one hundred and two thousand people showed up for a
- 42:08Speaker 1: Savannah Banana's game.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Really great extras, man, those bananas are on fire.
- 42:18Speaker 5: One hundred thousand people, Yes, one hundred and two thousand people.
- 42:23Speaker 2: I mean, perhaps Mikey was wrong about this deed.
- 42:27Speaker 3: This feels like we're about to get like a UFC
- 42:29Speaker 3: scenario here in terms of like Dana White paying the fighters,
- 42:33Speaker 3: because there's no way they're paying the Savannah banana is
- 42:36Speaker 3: what they should be making, right if they're going stadium
- 42:38Speaker 3: to stadiums, selling out everywhere.
- 42:41Speaker 5: It's beyond my math capabilities. But I do feel like
- 42:44Speaker 5: they're being exploited already.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Yeah, like the main Savanna banana guy should be making
- 42:47Speaker 3: like Aaron Judge money.
- 42:49Speaker 1: The main Savannah banana What do you mean, who is
- 42:53Speaker 1: the Aaron Judge of exactly? We don't know, but who
- 42:56Speaker 1: is it? There has to be a guy, right exploitation
- 42:59Speaker 1: Jill Trollders, it was Metal Lark Lemon, it was Curly Neil.
- 43:01Speaker 2: They were two stars of the Harlem Globetrotters.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There has to be a star of the bananas, right,
- 43:07Speaker 1: Billy Baseball, No, I checking it out, you're looking it up.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I think the star of the bananas. Is the guy
- 43:12Speaker 3: in that yellow suit?
- 43:16Speaker 1: Jack Olson?
- 43:19Speaker 2: Jack Olson?
- 43:20Speaker 1: Jack Olson? What you got three?
- 43:23Speaker 4: Classic household?
- 43:24Speaker 1: Name?
- 43:25Speaker 2: What's he has he playing this year? What's what's the ops?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Do they keep stats?
- 43:32Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I mean you went to a game so way Taylor.
- 43:37Speaker 1: If they're drawing one oh two, I mean that guy
- 43:39Speaker 1: should make I mean, honestly, he should Aaron Judge type money.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Yes, so quick.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Google search says that the Savannah Bananas players earn over
- 43:47Speaker 3: one hundred thousand dollars per year. That's that doesn't seem fair.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Getting ripped off? Yeah, they should strike.
- 43:56Speaker 5: Is jack Olson the one who fell flat on his
- 43:58Speaker 5: face on national television and doing a back flip.
- 44:00Speaker 3: He shouldn't be the leader of replacement bananas coming in?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. They're a little green replacement bananas.
- 44:14Speaker 2: And listen, you know there's going to be a banana
- 44:16Speaker 2: who crosses the picket line.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I mean you just know it.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Because they need money, the bananas.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I mean, we got to do a Latin version of
- 44:22Speaker 5: the Caribbean version and call them the platins.
- 44:26Speaker 1: If you say so, moduros.
- 44:31Speaker 2: So good.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Is he?
- 44:34Speaker 2: You want to feel old?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Always?
- 44:37Speaker 2: Maurice Jones Drew's son just committed to u C l A.
- 44:41Speaker 5: Wow.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you say that, Maurice Jones Drew's there.
- 44:45Speaker 1: It's a tough one. Yeah, nope, nope, just take out
- 44:47Speaker 1: that last desk. Maurice Jones Drew.
- 44:50Speaker 2: M j D.
- 44:53Speaker 1: The son of Maurice Jones Drew.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well, yes, yeah, Malik willis just.
- 45:01Speaker 1: A bit outside.
- 45:04Speaker 5: I'm telling you, man, somebody who throws at ball for
- 45:07Speaker 5: a living had to have done that on purpose.
- 45:09Speaker 1: There's no way that was bad. Stu.
- 45:11Speaker 3: I saw that first pitch, raise the fanuel and bet
- 45:13Speaker 3: that dolphins underneath.
- 45:15Speaker 2: That's what I did as well. That's under four and
- 45:18Speaker 2: a half.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it was impossible.
- 45:21Speaker 2: By the way, Jack Olsen with the stetson here in
- 45:23Speaker 2: the great state of Florida, Yeah, thank you for that.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Seeing a lot of people in the Northeast complaining about
- 45:30Speaker 1: how cold it is for May. In Florida, I can
- 45:34Speaker 1: report it was hot as hell this weekend. Seriously, Jesus,
- 45:38Speaker 1: it was ninety five one fucking day, so hot. Anyways,
- 45:44Speaker 1: speaking of hell or Briles busy, those are the weak
- 45:48Speaker 1: Ken observations
