- 0:05Drama Darling, Drama, Darling, Drama Darling. Hello everybody, welcome back.
- 0:21It's drama Darling. You know who this is. But guess who is
- 0:25joining me today? I obviously gave you guys a little uh tip yesterday who
- 0:30was going to be here? And it is the one and only Colin Macy
- 0:33O'Toole former deck can from below, deck Mad Colin Amy. This is a
- 0:39pleasure. I always love jumping on these with you. Only the highlight of
- 0:43my ear. Me too, And be careful what you say because you will
- 0:46be back sooner than you expect. Oh yeah, I love it. I
- 0:50love it. What great timing. So I was reaching out to you the
- 0:53other day and I was like, hey, can you come to the pod
- 0:55and You're like love to You're like, I'm actually gonna be joining Ellie and
- 1:02Asia at watch What Happens Live And I was like, no way. So
- 1:07I don't always watch what Happens Live. It just kind of I tried to.
- 1:10I tried to keep up right, So last night I totally watched it
- 1:12and I was so excited that and he was like an our special guest in
- 1:17the VIP seats, well actually the Oprah seats right isn't that what that is?
- 1:21Yeah, like the front there's like two or three seats in the front
- 1:23there. Yeah. He was really nice. It was actually really awesome because
- 1:26he I don't know, he still does. He had a house over at
- 1:30far Island where I run my boat, so and like I didn't even ask
- 1:34him, but he was like, you know, how's fire aland Pines doing.
- 1:38You know, he was asking him about you know, the fairy and
- 1:40something. He was like super nice, remembered everything, and it was cool
- 1:42to kind of catch up with him for a little bit. He is so
- 1:47loyal and so like when he likes you, he's going to remember all the
- 1:52details. You know. Yeah, very personal. Like even like before he
- 1:56went to Asha's dressing room, I guess she went to a concert like a
- 1:59week or so go. He was like, oh, how was the concert
- 2:01you know the other day like that. So yeah, it's just like a
- 2:05little little things like that, Like he's super nice guy. Yeah, he's
- 2:07great. I love that they had Snoopy at the bar. I was dying.
- 2:13We were all just like freaking out. They were like, because it's
- 2:19it's a movie that came out a Snoopy movie, is that right or something?
- 2:22Some streaming. I'm hope it's like a series, like a like a
- 2:27camp Snoopy I thing, But yeah, I guess like Ben watched it like
- 2:31twice already. Yeah. Andy obviously loves Snoopy, has always loved Snoopy,
- 2:38and so it's like this big, stuffy well I would say it's a It
- 2:42was a real person dressed up as Snoopy, and and it was so funny
- 2:46because like during the show, obviously they're gonna talk about like sex and so
- 2:50all the things that were a little blue for Snoopy. Snoopy would like take
- 2:54his big paws and cover his ears and be like yeah, his eyes and
- 2:59be like it's funny. It was so fun to see you. Though I
- 3:06loved it, I'm just always like, when is Colleae gonna get back on
- 3:08our TV than you? Have they ever reached out to you to come back?
- 3:14Or is it that they just are like, we love you, but
- 3:15they always want to have a revolving cast. Yeah, you know, I
- 3:20think they they love the revolving cast. It is fresh every year, you
- 3:25know what I mean, which keeps exciting, you know, which I get.
- 3:29But at the same time, they do I think want to reuse us
- 3:32in a way. I think they're still trying to figure like we did Galli
- 3:36Talk for like four seasons. Yes, you know, so they did that
- 3:39for a while. They loved seeing like the alums and you know me and
- 3:44terracting with Bobby, you know, because he was on a different season.
- 3:46Asha I think was with Kyle for a season. So they love like the
- 3:49crossovers. So I'm sure they're trying to find, you know, ways to
- 3:54use us. Say I love Galli Talk and that was You're right, that
- 4:00was such a great way to like intersect, cross pollinate. Really a lot
- 4:05of the standouts, the people who have a lot of charisma and have an
- 4:10opinion and the ones that you want to see back, You're getting to see
- 4:14them in that way, which is kind of like a people's couch, you
- 4:17know, as type of thing, which is so smart. I wish they
- 4:20would do more of that. But and you keep in touch with Kate Chastain.
- 4:25Obviously I called her or she called me like a month or two ago.
- 4:30I ansd her some questions, but yeah, she's doing great. She's
- 4:31dooing mom life, she's seeing busy, So I think right now she's still
- 4:35in Florida, But you see you're on Traders. Do you watch Traders?
- 4:41Yeah? Yeah, she killed killed. I wasn't that insane? I know,
- 4:45she's so good and uh and you know she's just like she's just so
- 4:49natural at it, and I'm like, you know, keep doing it,
- 4:51keep going. So when you were on below Deck, med, I'm trying
- 4:58to remember who was it Hannah that was your chiefs to I had Hannah?
- 5:03Yeah, I think I had her both. I had both seasons, but
- 5:06I think that was my last season was four. I think when she got
- 5:12that whole thing with her and Malia, then that might have been five.
- 5:15Okay, but yeah, I had her, you know, both both seasons.
- 5:18That was such an unfortunate end for her journey on Below Deck, and
- 5:26I remember it being very you know, contentious and obviously Captain Sandy, I
- 5:32mean, I'm such a huge Captain Sandy fan, you know what I mean.
- 5:35Obviously, two sides to every story, but that was a wild situation
- 5:39and such a bummer that it ended that way. Do you ever keep in
- 5:42touch with Hannah or No? Why again? I think I talked to her
- 5:46about a month or so ago. Uh. Yeah, we're talking about,
- 5:51you know, maybe possibly different projects, just Australia life. You know,
- 5:58you know, she's got she's a mom also, oh and you know busy
- 6:00over there overseas. So everyone's doing well. Everyone's busy. Yeah, you
- 6:05know what I mean, like like you know, like Bobby, like he's
- 6:10he's a yacht broker. Uh, you know, like get they get older,
- 6:14they move on, right they they love the the maritime industry still.
- 6:17You know, it's just cool to see like where they kind of branch off
- 6:23to into the Internet world. And so it's really interesting and everyone's doing well,
- 6:27everyone's happy, everyone's healthy, and uh you know that's that's all that
- 6:30matters really and and you're doing great obviously, and so like what's your schedule
- 6:35If people were to wanna, you know, do a charter with you on
- 6:40the ferry, like they would have to go where and when and how?
- 6:45Yeah, so I do. I run all the ferries out uh to out
- 6:50of Stable, Long Island, small town on south Shore, Long Island.
- 6:54We go to uh Far Island, Pines, Cherry Grove, Sailors Haven and
- 7:00and a private community Water Islands and Myland Pines and Cherry Grove. They are
- 7:05the big you know, you know, very LGBTQ plus communities they go crazy
- 7:12for the July is really the big kickoff. It's called the big event,
- 7:15that's called the Invasion, and it's when we bring thousands of drag queens from
- 7:19one beach to the other behind it. That won't get into now, but
- 7:25it's a big party. It's crazy. Everyone has fun. And yeah,
- 7:30so if you guys are ever in Sable or trying to go to Fire Island,
- 7:32you know, I'll be around. I'm sure. Oh that's so awesome.
- 7:36When you're doing this, do you get like, what is the percentage
- 7:41of people that are like, hey, colleie, you know, are they
- 7:45do people like you know, fan out? Yeah? I get I get
- 7:48a good amount of it. But what's more frustrating is they don't ask me
- 7:51how I'm doing. They ask me how my parents are doing. I know
- 7:58that's the first question. I'm like, oh, well, screw me.
- 8:00But but my parents, well yeah, okay, yeah, and my parents
- 8:05my mom is specific, she loves it, and everyone's so nice and yeah,
- 8:09it's it's definitely a heartwarming. That's amazing. So you're really, how
- 8:13far are you from New York City? Like, what's that? I'm dead
- 8:18center from mont Talk The Hampton's and the city. I'm dead center right on
- 8:24the water on the south shore, and yeah, so I'm like an hour
- 8:28away from each you know, each points, you know each ends, if
- 8:31you want to call it that. And I don't believe I didn't think about
- 8:35it, but wow, you should be on the summerhouse, you know.
- 8:39I've I've actually I'm friends with Carl. I'm friends with Carl. I'll talk
- 8:41to him a couple of times. I went to Kyle's fortieth birthday last year.
- 8:48I was last summer, the summer before Kyle's fortie. I forgot when
- 8:52that was. Yeah. All invites me out to all of the parties all
- 8:54the time, you know, but I'm running boat, so I try and
- 8:56make it out as much as I can. Like, yeah, he's he's
- 9:00good, he's a good guy. So Carl, you're friends with Carl?
- 9:03Oh my god? So what are your takes on this entire thing with Lindsay
- 9:07and Carl. I mean, I have to get your hot hot takes you
- 9:09again. You know what's hard is the TV aspect of things, you know,
- 9:15with the Hannah Sandy thing. Yeah, I'm not there, you know,
- 9:22so like what you see on TV is I'm assuming way different than what
- 9:26actually happened in real life. And obviously that that kind of happened throughout the
- 9:30season with Carl Lindsay, but you know, it just didn't seem like a
- 9:33good fit. And you know, hopefully they've you know, they've buried the
- 9:39hatchet and they can kind of move on and go there separate ways. So
- 9:46yeah, go ahead. Did you ever spend any time with the two of
- 9:48them or just with Carl mostly Carl? We got dinner one night a year
- 9:54or so ago, and I met Lindsay and Carl. We did one of
- 9:58the NBC upfronts. Yeah, I don't know it was last year again or
- 10:01the year before. Hung out with them for a little bit, But I'm
- 10:05super nice people. I just maybe it's just, you know, with them
- 10:07too specifically, it just didn't seem like it was gonna work out. I
- 10:11mean, that was insane television to watch. Yeah, yeah, and it's
- 10:16hard. And actually, when I was talking to Asia last night, we
- 10:20were talking about how different Below Deck is with all those shows because they they
- 10:26deal with their lives every day every weekend. We are just in a work
- 10:31environment, so it's different. No one really knows, like what's going on
- 10:35like in my house, you know what I mean, Like we're working on
- 10:37a boat, so there's more. I think there's way more credit for those
- 10:41guys that somehow Southern charming upon all those guys, because that's very in detail
- 10:48every day. So I don't know how they do it. Well, would
- 10:52you do it like? I mean, knowing how different it is, because
- 10:56it would be a completely different experience should you have go on, like say,
- 11:00if they ever bring back Winter House. I mean, that would be
- 11:01so awesome if you did Winterhouse, because that's when they take you know,
- 11:05everybody from different. But you know, would you ever do that? Oh?
- 11:11Yeah, you know, I think I think it's it's a different perspective.
- 11:15It's outside of you know, talking about below deck people. It's outside
- 11:20of a uh you know, a work environment. You're living your everyday life.
- 11:24You're hanging out with maybe new people you would never hung out with before,
- 11:30right because they're mixing shows together. Yeah, you know flames, you
- 11:33know. Uh so there's a lot that happens. Whereas you know, you're
- 11:37stuck on a boat for six weeks, you know. Uh so it's kind
- 11:41of nice to not you know, to be on land and to kind of
- 11:46I'm surprised that they've never, like Bravo's never done anything with Fire Island in
- 11:52that whole experience and just what that's like there and just going there for the
- 11:58summer shooting something. I mean, it seems like it's just rot with entertainment.
- 12:03Yeah, I know, it's funny. I actually have a Fire Island
- 12:09pitch on my computer. It was very hard to do. Not only am
- 12:15I pitching the show, but I have to pitch what Fire Island is to
- 12:20eat people, and I'm like, I can't. It's so hard to describe
- 12:24what it is unless you come out for like a weekend and like experience it
- 12:28yourself. It's wild, it's a good time. And yeah, I mean,
- 12:33you know, hopefully you should send Andy a DM and just be like,
- 12:37hey, I got this soft pitch. Love to run by you and
- 12:39see what he says. Yeah, if that's something he'd be interested. You
- 12:43know, I have everything, you know, I drew everything very professionally and
- 12:46it's ready to go. If anyone is interested, reach out to Andy,
- 12:50I'm telling you, and be like, hey, can I can I send
- 12:52you my Fire Island pitch? Right? Yeah? I said, I'm not
- 12:56you know, I don't know, if that's the way to do things.
- 12:58Yes, I want to use your connections and that, you know, and
- 13:03if he says like, well, I you know, don't send it to
- 13:07me, but send it here, He'll move you on to somebody else.
- 13:09You know. Yeah, Oh, I totally think you should do that.
- 13:13Don't sit on it. I've had it for a couple of years and it's,
- 13:16like I said, it's it's very hard to describe Fire Island. So
- 13:20it's well and he knows, so like he would be the perfect person to
- 13:22champion it. Should he you know, yeah, I think you should do
- 13:26that. Okay, well I'm championing you to do that, so well,
- 13:30that's super cool. I'm so excited that you're here and we were going to
- 13:33talk about last night's Below Deck med and we're in season nine, which is
- 13:39crazy. You were seasons what seasons were you or? Four, four,
- 13:43three, and four? Wow? God, years ago. I mean I
- 13:48just can't even believe it. That was that was We filmed in seventeen and
- 13:54eighteen, aired in eighteen and nineteen. So yeah, so that was.
- 13:58That was a long time. And it's great though, because it still feels
- 14:01like you were just there and obviously It's really nice to see you, like,
- 14:05you know, be everywhere, uh, you know with Galley Talk and
- 14:09just on social media and all that stuff. Have you ever been to Greece?
- 14:15Never been the only actually the only two places in Europe I've been were
- 14:20Italy and South of France, where my seasons were. Greece is on my
- 14:24bucket list, and you know, being the Irish guy that I am,
- 14:28Ireland is on my bucket list as well. But yeah, I would love
- 14:31to make Greece is beautiful. And the footage that they're getting is insane.
- 14:35It's crazy. I love like the the the promotional materials that they did of
- 14:43Captain Sandy with the with the poseidon try tryad and the and the the hair,
- 14:50you know, like the crown, so epic. So Gigi comes on
- 14:58this this uh chart and this is Sandy's friend. Did you ever meet her?
- 15:01Was she on one of your charters? I feel like I don't know
- 15:05if it was her. We had a tennis player, yeah, Olympics.
- 15:09I don't know if it was her or not. I don't remember that was
- 15:11season four, No, no, no, that was that wasn't me.
- 15:16That was the season after. I remember you talking about a Galatoe. She
- 15:18brought her like Olympic medals. Oh right, right, yeah, season or
- 15:22two after me, but yeah, I remember talking about I don't remember it
- 15:26was her, but it was Olympic. She had like all these medals and
- 15:28trophies and stuff that she brought. It was pretty cool. Yeah, that's
- 15:31amazing. Seventeen Grand Slams in tennis and she won two Olympic medals. It's
- 15:37crazy. I love I love seeing her. I love that. Captain Sandy's
- 15:41like, yeah, she did a charter and then we became friends. She's
- 15:46crazy, she's a leader, she's a winner, and they're just like they're
- 15:50like destined to be besties, right, So and then to find out that
- 15:56one of the guests are like her tennis partner is neighbor with Joe Biden,
- 16:00and like that whole thing is just hilarious. So these are very upscale,
- 16:06uh you know, charter guests. And now they're on here and we've got
- 16:11a real problem with this chef. He is chef Chef Johnno. He starts
- 16:21with this really spicy taco situation and they like show you what all the spices
- 16:26that he's putting in it, you know, And I'm like I would die.
- 16:30Like, first of all, I can't handle a lot of spice because
- 16:32they've got acid reflux, and I'm total whimp. So I'm like, oh
- 16:37my god, Oh my god, these guests, and I thought it was
- 16:38gonna be way worse than it actually was. But there was just a bizarre
- 16:42like I saw that he put cardimen in there, and I'm like, yeah,
- 16:45that's like an Indian spice, and okay, maybe that's gonna taste good
- 16:48with the taco spices. But they picked it up immediate and they were like
- 16:52something is in here that that doesn't you know, go what is wrong with
- 16:56this picture? So right off the bat, like when the charter guests get
- 17:00that lunch and it's not good, does it just really set the tone for
- 17:04a where you were like, oh shit, we got to like pick up
- 17:07the pace here. For first of all, I feel bad for Asia because
- 17:12I think she even said it last night, like she's essentially the face of
- 17:18right because right the chef is still doing his thing in the galley, so
- 17:22like Asia basically guess the brunt of it. She's like like it's like embarrassing
- 17:29kind of way. But so when when food service goes wrong, the deck
- 17:33crew. They kind of make up for it on the water, right,
- 17:38like you know, like, yeah, they may not have had a good
- 17:41lunch, but you know, let's do war sports. Let's do a game
- 17:44with them, you know, similar to uh, you know the dinner,
- 17:47right, the dinner didn't really go so they did the toga thing to kind
- 17:49of get their mind off of you know, you just got them a little
- 17:52bit. So yeah, it's definitely a little more pressure. When the chef
- 17:56doesn't like hit it does the word go out pretty quick like dekru, dekru.
- 18:02The lunch suck. So pick up the pace, put all the water
- 18:04toys in. It's like, yeah banana, you know, all the paddle
- 18:11boards, all that stuff. Yeah, it's we try and keep them busy.
- 18:14I mean, of course, Captain Sandy's all about the water toys.
- 18:18So like when you were on with her, please walk me through like her
- 18:22passion for the water toys, Like is she really like are you to the
- 18:26point where you're like, Sandy, we get it, you love the water
- 18:27toys like we've got it? Or is she always like riding you guys about
- 18:32the water toys always always, But you know it's in a good sense because
- 18:37I think my first year, I had Conrad as my boats and and he
- 18:44he would like put out like a couple toys that that that they thought they
- 18:52would like, not all of them. And that's what Mollard Sandy was like,
- 18:55I don't care if they like or don't like or don't even use them.
- 18:57I want everything out up. So that was the big thing. And
- 19:02then with Juell the following season being Bosin and he and Jack, they actually
- 19:06did a good job. They inflated everything and like laid everything out like nice
- 19:08presentation. You know you want a battle board, grab it, Gove you
- 19:12want to, jess KEI will grab it for you. Go. So she
- 19:15I think she appreciated Joao's leadership doing that'll throw everything out. She can't do
- 19:22anything negative because we you know, we put everything out on the water.
- 19:26So but I get her side of it, like you want everything available for
- 19:29the guests just to make them happy, right, And so that slide.
- 19:33And then when Ian when the bosin Ian was like pulling it in and he's
- 19:37getting mad at Nathan and like and Nathan's like, yeah, when he he
- 19:45gets frustrated and he gets really mean and micromanages, like what was it that
- 19:49he was doing as a bosin that was wrong in that situation other than being
- 19:52seems to me like a total asshole. No, yeah, yeah, And
- 19:56you know what, I think a lot of people forget that. It's you
- 20:03know, you're you're really working for the tips, right, That's basically how
- 20:06we get paid, so you want to have to be perfect. It's kind
- 20:08of high pace. I think at the time, Sandy was moving the boat,
- 20:12so they were kind of in a hurry. It was him and I
- 20:17think Joe like pulling the slide up. Those slide weighs a million pounds and
- 20:22I'm not even exaggerating. So when Nathan was like kind of you know,
- 20:25taking his time, you know, turning the corner trying to help, Ian's
- 20:30kind of like let's go, like, you know, just like leisurely take
- 20:34the slide out, like we're moving, like, let's go. So it
- 20:37was Nathan that was really not pulling his weight. That's how I saw it,
- 20:42you know, you know Ian Like, again I might misspoke, but
- 20:45I think they were moving the boat. Yeah, so you gotta hurry.
- 20:49It's not like, oh, let's take our time, you know, so
- 20:52it to be done at at a speed, you know, safely obviously,
- 20:56but yeah, when he's just kind of taking his time as a leader,
- 21:00I would be frustrated. Got it? Yeah? Oh good, Okay,
- 21:04well that's good to know. Yeah, that slide, I don't know.
- 21:08When I'm looking at that, I'm like, how are they Is it deflating
- 21:11as it's being pulled up? And that's just why? Okay, gotcha?
- 21:15It was like all these little questions. I'm always so curious about the little
- 21:18details because I'm like, how are they doing that? And then the other
- 21:22thing I wanted to ask you was like last week when they were docking and
- 21:29he was having a really hard time with the ropes. You know what I'm
- 21:32talking about? Yep, yep, what happened there? So the wind list
- 21:37is like a like a mechanical thing on the deck that you tie the line
- 21:41around it and then you push this butt with your foot and it keeps spinning
- 21:45and it tightens the line. So the line that's on the dock, when
- 21:49you tighten the wind list, the boat will then get closer to the dock.
- 21:55The line on the wind list was slippery. It was slippy, slippery,
- 21:59sorry, So when they were trying to tighten the lines, the line
- 22:03wasn't catching the windless and it just kept falling off. So Sandy was getting
- 22:07frustrated that the boat wasn't getting tighter to the dock, and I think I
- 22:11forgot who it was. Joe or Ian was saying, oh, well,
- 22:12the lines were slipping. It was like, well, you have to somehow
- 22:17make it work so tight, you know, do an extra wrap on it,
- 22:19you know, use more muscle, uh, you know, more tension.
- 22:22I will obviously make it better, easier to bring it in. But
- 22:25yeah, that was another problem last week that they had. Okay, so
- 22:29the way to fix that he would have just had to do it tighter,
- 22:32tighter. But again, that's a lot of muscle, you know, for
- 22:34one person. I think it was Gail. I think last week after a
- 22:38while and it was Gail maybe and Ian. They were both trying to pull
- 22:41it in and still wasn't catching. You know, hopefully, you know,
- 22:45when they dock again, you know, in a week or two episode,
- 22:48you know, hopefully, look, get that fixed. Okay, So now
- 22:52let's talk about the big thing, which is that the Nathan and a guest
- 22:56who went paddleboarding and they were almost to be seen again. Crazy. I
- 23:04didn't know that, you know, I don't know, maybe it was Greece
- 23:07or just the met in general had swells like that, because we never had
- 23:11that issue in Italy and France. But I mean when I was a kid,
- 23:18I got caught in a rip was it called like a rip current?
- 23:21You know back in the day. You know, you're just swimming, you
- 23:23know, just usually, and then like you just turn around and you realize
- 23:26you're not even close to the beach. So something like that just happened with
- 23:32the paddle boards and they're probably just you know, looking out at the waters
- 23:36and enjoying themselves and then not realizing that the current is just kind of kept
- 23:40pushing them out. They turn around. The boat is I think what they
- 23:42said, like three hundred meters three hundred yards, but you know behind them,
- 23:47and you know it's it's not one of those things where you can just
- 23:48swim back because the current, you know, you're not strong enough to fight
- 23:52that current. So and then they got picked up by it was like a
- 23:55catamaran. I think they had to bring them back, which is crazy.
- 24:00At least, you know, you know, at least it's they were safe,
- 24:02and you know, I think that's the most important. They didn't even
- 24:04see them. Did they even see them on the binoculars, like when they
- 24:07were looking, I don't even think they did. They didn't even like even
- 24:11if I was, if I was Joe, I'll put them putting a little
- 24:15blame on Joe, Like he was on the swim platform. He's doing things,
- 24:18you know, yeah, putting or whatever he was doing. But like
- 24:21once in a while, wouldn't you be like, wow, they're getting pretty
- 24:25far anymore. Maybe I should I don't know, maybe, you know.
- 24:30Yeah, so I'll put a little blame on Joe because Ian was doing stuff.
- 24:33I think he was putting the slide or the fenders away or something.
- 24:37So but yeah, I mean Joe's got to keep a little bit of a
- 24:41of a watch. But yeah, I mean that's kind of a scary.
- 24:45You know, they played it off really well on the show, but that's
- 24:47like a really scary situation. I've been caught in that and it's not it's
- 24:49really scary. I mean that was really terrifying. And I couldn't believe that
- 24:53the primary handled it so well and the guest handled it so well, because
- 24:57the primary was like, well, that could have gone poorly, but it
- 25:00didn't. So Okay, we're moving on and Sandy even seemed to handle it
- 25:03well yeah, I mean, you know, I guess she was like,
- 25:07all right, well the zill learning experience. Now we'll we'll know next time,
- 25:11you know. I was thinking back of my head, good thing they
- 25:15were actually on palable. What if they were just swimming, you know,
- 25:18and if they were just swimming in the water, yeah, there, it
- 25:21would be even hurt harder to see them or you can't keep that, you
- 25:25know, you can't keep swimming, you know, against the current. And
- 25:26at last they're on paddle board, so they could at least you know,
- 25:30sit, yeah, you know, and for someone to get to pick them
- 25:33up. But it worked out at the ends, uh, you know,
- 25:36no harm, no foul. But yeah, it was kind of a cringe
- 25:37look to see another boat bring to it there, you know, personnel back
- 25:44really bad. That was so scary, Like I don't know, I just
- 25:48was like putting myself in that situation and I'm like, oh my god,
- 25:51boss, I'm freaking out. You know. Is it the rule that you've
- 25:56always known that two people need to be watching the guests in the water.
- 26:03Yeah, I don't remember if it was. We had when so when Juwau
- 26:07was my boastin uh, and it was mostly the jet skis. We always
- 26:11had to have one person keeping on the jet skis, more than one person
- 26:15on the bow as well, because you know they drive, you know,
- 26:17they drive around the boat, so you can we're not gonna run around.
- 26:19So we usually had like one person on the swim platform, one person maybe
- 26:23midship, you know, maybe on the bow just to see you know,
- 26:26like where you know what side of the boat. They're all make sure they're
- 26:30they're safe. But yeah, I mean, we never had anyone get taken
- 26:33out. I was gonna say, what have you ever had anything like that
- 26:38happen when you've been on charter where people have gone way far out or well,
- 26:45yeah, way far out? I think my which season it was my
- 26:48first or second? Uh. Sandy reprimanded the guests because they went they were
- 26:55flying their jet skis through like a like a scuba zone or something, right
- 27:00you people like underwater and we're like, she said, don't go in this
- 27:06area, and like right when they get just they don't listen. They go
- 27:08straight to that area. So yes, Cida had to speak to them because
- 27:11even give them clear instruction and they just weren't paying attention. It's dangerous.
- 27:15You know, imagine Scoopa diving or whatever. You're coming up for air and
- 27:18jess Ski is flying over you. You know it's not that's not so.

- 31:45let's get back to talking about below Deck with Colin macotool. Have you ever,
- 31:52like, not just on below deck or any of your experience, what's
- 31:56the scariest experience you've ever had with your yourself or with a guest on the
- 32:05on the high seas. Honestly, we've had, I mean juel situation where
- 32:12we had that drunk billionaire on our boat with Johnny Damon. Uh. That
- 32:16was season four. We're in Saint tapez Uh. He was touching uh missus
- 32:22Damon. You know, I don't know what the situation there is, you
- 32:25know in the yacht life. So I called Joel. He's in his pajamas
- 32:30and he could he touches you know, Missus Damon again and he Joe puts
- 32:37him in a bear hug and like chucks him off the boat. You know,
- 32:40I didn't know what the protocol is for that, you know, because
- 32:45you have this drunk guy who probably thinks he's the ship. Yeah, bred
- 32:52women or even you know, any of the guests. Really, you know,
- 32:53he shouldn't be doing that. So it's like, you know, I'm
- 32:57like a nice guy. I'm like, I'm not, you know, and
- 33:00Joe's I'm off the boat. He throws them off the boat. I'm following
- 33:04Joel with like the dude, Sperry's like in my hands. I'm like,
- 33:07I got you, I got your berries that boat. I totally forgot about
- 33:12that. That was crazy, but you did the right thing because that situation
- 33:15was escalating quickly and you needed back up for that dude. Yeah, you
- 33:21know, I Joao is way bigger than I am. He's got the muscle,
- 33:24so you know, I let him handle it and he did a great
- 33:28job. Wow, that's so crazy. Oh my god, I remember that.
- 33:31Nuts so all right. So they did the water they did the water
- 33:37sports, they did that. They almost got lost at sea. We talked
- 33:40about that. Oh my god, Asha is so fun. So how long
- 33:45have you known Asia? Like when did you guys connect? At Bravo con
- 33:50or so I met her? So she was my stue. Season four okay,
- 33:59that was her first season. Oh you guys were together season four?
- 34:05Yeah, totally, okay. My second season was her first season. And
- 34:10then when she was she came in like halfway. I think she replaced Hannah
- 34:16the following season and then shed down under twice. She's you know med now
- 34:23Gally talk you know, last season. So yeah, I've known her.
- 34:28I've known her for you know, like I said, twenty eighteen, so
- 34:31a long time. She's so awesome. I always I call her water Wolf,
- 34:36you know, because it's like, oh, so she's my little water
- 34:40wolf. I'm obsessed with her so good. So and then you met Ellie
- 34:46or aka Elena through how did you meet her? Just like through Asia?
- 34:52So I reached out to her to see if she wanted to do. She
- 34:57popped up on like my Instagram or something, and I reached out to her
- 35:00because she was like a spa, like a spa stew, like some special
- 35:04stew where she used to be like a masseuse or something like on her yachts.
- 35:08So I thought I was like very unique. So I so I just
- 35:10I took her information gave it to you know, the higher ops to see
- 35:15if she would be good for the show and uh, yeah, nor Way,
- 35:19are you serious, You're the one who referred her. She it seemed
- 35:22to work out, so I'm glad it did, and hopefully everyone likes her.
- 35:27Oh gosh, that is so cool. So she reached out to me
- 35:30the other day if I want to do uh at least come to the clubhouse
- 35:35because that was her first time doing Watch Happens Live, Like thank you,
- 35:37and you know, I got to finally meet her and she's a sweetheart and
- 35:40yeah, she she had a blast. I'm hopefully you guys will see her
- 35:44again. Wow, that is so awesome. I'm so glad you told me
- 35:46that. I mean, because we wonder about casting. So do you refer
- 35:51people or you know, pass on names quite often? Yeah, yeah,
- 35:55I would say often. But i've you know, they've we've had a couple,
- 35:59you know, even some of my fairy friends. They've turned it start
- 36:02into the yachting world. I thought there would be great, you know,
- 36:07a couple, uh, you know, my other friends and Fort Lloyd'll let
- 36:10I meet when I'm hanging out, like Bobby or something. Uh, you
- 36:14know, it doesn't always work out, you know, but you know,
- 36:16I feel like they're always looking for people, so I'm like, you know,
- 36:19I think this person would be good. You know, they're either a
- 36:22train wreck, which makes them great, you know, but yeah, once
- 36:25in a while they hit, you know, just like Ellie did. So
- 36:29hopefully she enjoys it. And uh, yeah, it was the first time
- 36:30I met her and she's she's adult. That's amazing. Are there any other
- 36:35people, because like she she came on and she relieved somebody if she took
- 36:39someone's spot when they were let go last season, and then they've brought her
- 36:44back and she's great. I think she's doing such an amazing job. And
- 36:47then I want to ask you about the whole waking chef up things, so
- 36:52don't let me forget about that. But are there any other people that you
- 36:55referred that did make it onto Below Deck? I don't think so I referred.
- 37:05I'm not, like I said, maybe a handful, not that many.
- 37:08I think l was my first. So it was kind of like a
- 37:13proud yeah that's awesome. Yeahfully, hopefully everyone loves her. Hopefully she enjoys
- 37:17the rest of the season. Yeah, it was kind of so it was
- 37:21very nice for her to invite me out the other night and as a thank
- 37:23you, so it was. It was very cool moment. So when when
- 37:29when Chef Johno did not prepare the midnight bites and she went to go wake
- 37:37him up, So tell me what your whole thought process was on this,
- 37:42because this seemed very torturous for her. And then I was literally shocked the
- 37:46next day when Sandy was like, never wake up the chef and I was
- 37:50like, oh, oh, oh, okay, so please break this down
- 37:53for me. Yeah, you know what in that situation. In that situation
- 37:58seemed like everyone was wrong. I can make grilled cheese. I can make
- 38:05seven grilled cheeses, Like I don't know, that doesn't seem like an issue.
- 38:08I didn't catch that. On the preference sheet it said late night snacks.
- 38:15So you know, it was a mix of you know, everyone was
- 38:20in the wrong. You know, obviously the chef. I always tell people
- 38:22outside of the captain, I think the chef is the most important person on
- 38:27the boat because that's the chef. No one's eating and if you're not eating,
- 38:30you're cranky and you're gonna have a terrible time. So the chef is
- 38:35the most so like you want him to. He's on his feet how many
- 38:37hours a day? They won't ever get like those two hour breaks that you
- 38:42see during the show, you know, like go go down for two hours
- 38:44like the stews and debck crew, do you know, so you want the
- 38:49chef to rest. He's one of the most important people on the boat.
- 38:52But a sad time he should have made or at least left out the ingredients
- 38:55for something, like he said, I know it's the grilled cheese, but
- 38:59even it's like the sam which she's nacho things. I'd nachos were on the
- 39:04list. I think it just it probably just went through his head and just
- 39:07didn't you know, he just totally forgot about and I you know, I
- 39:10get it. He works what fourteen fifteen hours a day probably, so you
- 39:16know, there's a lot for him to think of to remember throughout the course
- 39:22of the day. But like like I said, Sandy, I think did
- 39:25it like approach is like you know, we learn and then hopefully next to
- 39:29order everything will go a little bit better. God. I love that they
- 39:34did talk about that on Watch Happens Live because Asia finally saw what happened,
- 39:37and it was nice that Ellie was able to get a little empathy and compassion
- 39:44from someone after going through because it was so intense, and I did feel
- 39:47for her. I mean, I thought she did the best she could do
- 39:50in that situation because she did seem to have her hands full. But it
- 39:54was a learning experience for her as well. And she seems so like,
- 40:00do you think that she could be a chief stew one day? I mean,
- 40:01because she she has been a chief stew right on a small boat Ellie.
- 40:09Uh, you know what. I don't remember if she was beforehands but
- 40:19is different. Yeah, it's different so far. I mean rand rolling two
- 40:28charters in. You know, I'd love to see how, you know,
- 40:30the rest of the year goes. But I'm not so far, so good.
- 40:34Like she's you know, Ashia's given her direction. She's killing it.
- 40:37You know. You know, she's not one of those stews that's like,
- 40:40oh well, I know I know everything, you know. I mean,
- 40:45like you don't have to tell her, right, Those are the people that
- 40:46will never make it. So you look, Yeah, she's listening to instructions,
- 40:52she's doing everything. Well, she's actually doing double the work because she's
- 40:55teaching what's the third stewbris laundrey and how to make beds and stuff, So
- 41:00she's doing extra work on top of her everyday duties on top of that,
- 41:04So more credit to her for doing that. The Yeah, we'll talk about
- 41:08Brett. Also, the chicken dinner and sponge cake was a disaster that may
- 41:15have been one of the worst things we've seen served. Yeah, that was
- 41:22the chicken. I didn't really they seemed to be like okay with it,
- 41:27Like it wasn't like it wasn't like bad, but it wasn't like like superior.
- 41:31I mean, if you're spending so much money on a mega yacht,
- 41:36yeah, like and they're like, oh, that's good, Like that's not
- 41:39really not a good thing, Like you want to be like, goddamn,
- 41:43this is fantastic. So yeah, so I get I get it, you
- 41:46know, I get totally the reaction the cake is, uh, yeah,
- 41:52that's weird. And I to show I didn't realize chefs don't really do desserts.
- 41:58That's not there because they spent so much money on the meals that they're
- 42:04rare. They you know, they really don't spend time unless it's like something
- 42:07simple ish, uh to do dessert. So the sponge cake, the black
- 42:10sponge cake with what was like a red sorbet or something on the side.
- 42:15Yeah, yeah, I don't think any anybody ate it? Like I saw
- 42:19like and Ellie bring all the plates back to the galley. I was like,
- 42:22that's bad luck, that's not I don't want food to still be on
- 42:25the plate. That's not good. And it's just like it's the worst couple
- 42:30the cakes out of all the cakes, all the cakes. I am predicting
- 42:37that they are. He's going to get fired and they're going to bring on
- 42:42another chef. What do you think? I don't know, because his first
- 42:46he killed the first charter, you know, he did really well. The
- 42:52second so far is not you know, you know, and you don't how
- 42:59say he is with the food and the chefs. You know, she wants
- 43:00to make sure everything is is you know on and she give three chances,
- 43:06three strikes, three strikes unless it's what she sell the provisions, unless it's
- 43:09really big outvision. Thing was a disaster. That was crazy. You've ever
- 43:16seen anything like that? No, that's wild. I mean, how do
- 43:19you go like basically in a charter, entire charter, with like nothing on
- 43:22the boat. I don't know how they pulled that off, but they did.
- 43:27By the way, again, glad, I watched Watch What Happens Live
- 43:30because one of the questions that we had about that was why didn't they go
- 43:34in Inland and go to a store and buy something. So Asha did talk
- 43:38about that. She addressed it and said that they actually did. They sent
- 43:43someone they got six bottles, but they don't you know, when they deal
- 43:49with a bigger provisions company, they're expecting it to come, so they're not
- 43:52going to want to suspend all this additional money on buying all this other stuff.
- 43:57So they still were expecting it to come. So they only a little
- 44:00bit uh to make up for that gap in which they expected it to come
- 44:05later and then it never did. So they did in fact do that,
- 44:08but that wasn't necessarily mentioned on the show. Yeah, on the show.
- 44:14Yeah, like I always, you know, I compared it like, you
- 44:16know, imagine like you and your friends like spend hundreds of dollars on like
- 44:21a sushi night on like ubers and it's like super delayed, and you're like,
- 44:25you know, let's go to this other place down the street and get
- 44:28the same thing, and now you have like five hundred dollars and then the
- 44:30uber Eats comes and now you're right the dollars with a sushi You're like,
- 44:34oh, what I spend all this money, right, so exactly, But
- 44:37yeah, I mean it's that that's a tricky situation because they spend so much
- 44:39money on you know, the food and booze for the provisions to come on
- 44:45time. Do you have like numbers? I'm curious. Do you have any
- 44:47idea how much they would spend on provisions for an entire charter? You know
- 44:52what? I don't. I mean, you know, I think on some
- 44:54of the charts, like don how much does like a bottle of Don Julio
- 44:58like go for? Yeah? Cases of that, so like right there,
- 45:02grand so I would think, right, so just for liquor. Yeah,
- 45:06and the chef's ordering lobsters steaks that costs you know, even like the little
- 45:12things you don't even see, like in the background there's like bowls of like
- 45:15Eminem's. Uh. On the last this last episode, they had like a
- 45:20like a nice cheese board, like those cheeses and meats. You know,
- 45:22I'm sure they're not cheap. So yeah, I mean, all those things
- 45:27add up. It's crazy. So thank god they got a new provision company
- 45:32and everyone's happy and thrilled and so that's great. Brie, have you met
- 45:37Brie? Do you know Brie, No, never met Brie. Off to
- 45:42a little slow start. Also, I don't know, I don't I can't
- 45:46like rag on like the girls that do like the laundry because like I have
- 45:50like a whatever, like the basic target ironing board system is and I'm like
- 45:54doing like a T shirt and I'm like, hell, I don't care.
- 46:00So I you know, I can't really rag on you know, the people
- 46:02that do the launch because it's you know, it's a different level. But
- 46:07I feel bad, you know because you know, especially with Ellie, because
- 46:09she's teaching her how to do things properly and at a time. With that
- 46:13again, it's like talking about the slide earlier, like she wants things done,
- 46:17you know, at a tempo. You know, you can't just just
- 46:21hang out and like you know, leisurely iron someone's pants, right, you
- 46:25know, you got to get it done. So but I mean it seems
- 46:30like the second charge is going way better. So also she learns on the
- 46:34way and keeps it going. When Okay, So, is there anything that
- 46:40you like miss about doing these charters other? I mean it's got to be
- 46:45I'm talking about being on below deck. What is Okay, let me just
- 46:50break this down what is the stress level? Like, because you've got the
- 46:53cameras, you've got to do your job, you're interacting with the guests,
- 46:59you've got the captain, you're dealing with kind of sleep deprivation. You're pretty
- 47:04exhausted when and you're dealing with their their lives are in your hands. So
- 47:09break it down for me, like how stressed out you are, the level
- 47:16of like adrenaline that you're running on, and how you like get through all
- 47:22that and with the cameras because it seems insane to me. Yeah, you
- 47:27know what, after maybe the first I don't even to say the first full
- 47:30charter, it's probably not even the first day. The cameras are they disappear
- 47:37in your brain right because you're so focused on whatever the Bosin's telling me,
- 47:43whatever the chiefs do or even Sandy is telling us to do. I'm not
- 47:46worried about, oh well there's a camera in my face. Well, I
- 47:50mean this is this is from my perspective. I don't know other people,
- 47:52but I do. Even I totally forgot that the cameras woure follow me around.
- 47:58You know, you can't think of all these things at once, right,
- 48:00I'm pulling the slide in. I don't care if the camera is up
- 48:05in my face or not looking at me at all. I'm I'm trying to
- 48:08bring this thousand pounds piece of rubber onto the boat. You know, it
- 48:14is stressful though, because you know, like when we were rushing, like
- 48:16I hurt my vibe fell and hurt my wrist on my second season because we
- 48:21were rushing and I got my tongue stuck in a hatch, and you know,
- 48:24to have embarrassing because the cameraman is like zoomed in on my face and
- 48:29I'm my god, damn, you know like that. But yeah, but
- 48:35it's like I said, from my perspective, they go away, you know,
- 48:39except when you're trying to go in tight spots because they're always that the
- 48:44cameras are so big, and I have to like duck, you know,
- 48:46if they're filming something, I feel like duck behind them because if they turn
- 48:50around, you're getting smacked in the face with one of those big ass cameras.
- 48:53So besides that, though they they are not you know, they're imaginary
- 48:58to me, gotcha, Okay, And so that wasn't really necessarily a big
- 49:02stresser having the cameras there. Now was just more stress, just to make
- 49:07sure that everything gets done, you know, make sure the guests are happy,
- 49:12Sandy's you know, okay with our work. That's that's the stress.
- 49:15Not the cameras well. I mean, you had cameras in your bedroom,
- 49:19like that's like watching you sleep. And in last night's episode, we had
- 49:27Ian I think in the wheelhouse just just digging in that nose, just really
- 49:32digging for gold. And I was like, oh my god, how embarrassing
- 49:36like that they would put that footage out of him picking his nose and oh
- 49:39yeah, you know, and I'm like, I mean, look, we've
- 49:42all been there, but you don't want like he obviously forgot that there's cameras
- 49:47because those cameras are mounted correct, like there's nobody sitting there, so he's
- 49:52gonna forget. So he's just like, it's the middle of the night,
- 49:53I'm on anchor Watch. I've got to you know, get my seat boogies
- 49:59out, and now here we have that like on on TV for the world
- 50:04to see. It's like I think I think I thought it was funny about
- 50:08that was because it wasn't even like it was like three am Anchor Watch.
- 50:13It was like during dinner service. It was like it was like light out.
- 50:19Oh my god, you know dry over there, it's dry. It's
- 50:24dry. You gotta do what you gotta do. But it is like when
- 50:29that happens, I'm always like, guys, I mean, we don't need
- 50:30to see that, Like let's give him his space, like give him his
- 50:35privacy, Like we don't need to see that. But they get so shady.
- 50:38But like you have cameras in your bedroom, like what if you have
- 50:44to like rip a two you know, like what are you going to do?
- 50:47Yeah, that doesn't bother me. I mean the rooms, the rooms
- 50:52don't bother me because we're never in our rooms. We're changing, you know,
- 50:58it takes us what five seconds to you know, rip off our clothes
- 51:00and put on like whatever our blacks or whatever we're changing into. Again,
- 51:06it's you don't even think that it's there, right, You're just getting changed
- 51:09and or you know, a lot of maybe some of the most of the
- 51:13girls would do go to the bathroom. There's no cameras in the bathroom looking
- 51:15a little more privacy. But yeah, I mean, like I said,
- 51:19when you're just in the moment and you're you know, you gotta make things
- 51:22happen. You're not gonna be like, oh, like the camera is looking
- 51:24at it, right. You can't do that, you know. And then
- 51:27when people are hooking up that I would never do. And I told myself
- 51:34that before I even did my first season. I was like, first of
- 51:36all, no one wants to see my pasty white ass on TV, but
- 51:39you will never see that ever again. But there are some people that you
- 51:45just don't care and they just get after it, and I'm like, I
- 51:47guess more power to you. I just I just can't. It's amazing.
- 51:52I know, I'm like, wow, I don't think I could. I
- 51:52don't. I could not do that. I I would definitely be the person
- 51:57that's like, yeah, let's go meet in the locker, like, by
- 52:00the way that what have you ever been down in that locker with anybody?
- 52:05They so there was similar to where they must mustique is. I was called
- 52:08the first Botelsman made and had a locker similar to theirs, where it was
- 52:14on the bow and it was you know, it was private ish, but
- 52:19it was just funny. How gel got caught on the way up. That
- 52:22was amazing, like being so sneaky and this isn't gonna happen. Well,
- 52:28it was wild because, like she says, she's in this relationship, but
- 52:30she seems pretty flexible about it. It seems like there's a lot of gray
- 52:35areas here. And then it was I was like, oh wow, they're
- 52:39going to go for it, Like she's gonna go for it. They're going
- 52:42to go meet and I love that we had bat cliffhanger from last week.
- 52:46So then this week they see her like kind of picking up where she's getting
- 52:50kind of busted by the camera. Oh, I'm just gonna get some waters
- 52:52and then she has like second thoughts and you know, if those cameras weren't
- 52:57there, she definitely would have gone. But I'm wondering how the rest of
- 53:00the season is going to pan out. I mean, I'm sure at some
- 53:02point something will happen between she and Nathan. Yeah, I mean the first
- 53:07thing they brought up was like the strawberry, you know, like yeah,
- 53:10and I'm like, Strawberry, like just be honest, like Storbery means sex,
- 53:14like just talk as much. You know, we all know. So
- 53:17yeah, that was that was a funny segway. But i mean, yeah,
- 53:21they again, this is like their second charter. They are going to
- 53:24learn that you do not get privacy on that boat at all. Next all
- 53:30they want, you know, and I think you really thank Eddie Lucas I
- 53:35think for that because I think he's I think he smashed somebody in like the
- 53:38laundry before they had cameras in the laundry room years ago. I don't know
- 53:45if that was with Rocky or Wet, but and yeah, so then they
- 53:50everywhere because of that. So yeah, good will to find privacy because that's
- 53:53not gonna happen. Well, when the producer was like do you need a
- 53:58mic? Right? Do you need a mic? I'm not gonna be talking.
- 54:01I'm just ending. I'm not talking. I'm not talking. You don't
- 54:04even see me. You don't even see me. I'm here, I'm not
- 54:06here. Do you need to mic? I mean that was like holy shit,
- 54:07you know, it was like, uh, you know, your some
- 54:12sort of chaperone. That's what it felt like to me. I was like,
- 54:15I felt like I got busted, you know, like my parents woke
- 54:17up and I tried to sneak out of the house. I mean, that's
- 54:20exactly what it felt like. So the other thing I wanted to ask you
- 54:23was, you know, everybody and I know we have talked about this before,
- 54:27but just to reiterate. With production, you know, they're in their
- 54:32room right, like the I'm talking about the producers, so they're pretty much
- 54:37away, right. How much do you see the producers come out alongside the
- 54:44cameraman? Is there always a producer next to the cameraman? Man? Is
- 54:47it just the cameraman? Like what's what's the production aspect? Like what's their
- 54:52interaction with you guys? So I don't even think it wasn't even the producer
- 54:57on the when you saw it's every Every camera guy has an audio guys probably
- 55:04who was talking you don't see. That's all you see is the audio and
- 55:07camera guys. That's all you see. No one is out, you know,
- 55:13telling us anything. You know, if no one's telling us to go
- 55:17here or talk about that. It's you know, I tell this all the
- 55:21time, like it's a it's probably the most natural show you'll ever watch.
- 55:25I said. Obviously the camera and mic guys like they have a job,
- 55:30so you know, like I need to mic you up if you're going out
- 55:32or if you're talking to somebody, I need you to have a microphone on.
- 55:36Like that's just that's what that's that's that's their job. So but that's
- 55:40that's that's all you're getting. That's all you're getting is Mike stuff making sure
- 55:44everything works, you know for the most part. But no one, that's
- 55:47all you're getting. You don't see anybody else. So okay, A lot
- 55:52of people have a hard time believing this. And when I had Nadine Rajabi,
- 55:55who's one of the producers of Below Deck Men and was she a produce
- 56:00when you were on? Yeah, love Nadine. She's awesome, incredible,
- 56:02what an incredible lady. And she does say, we stay in that room.
- 56:08We we do not come out. We do not you know, tell
- 56:12unless there's a problem, right, unless there's a problem like on board or
- 56:15yeah, but no, I'm like, yeah, she was, like I
- 56:19said, they this is the most natural and I'm actually saying this, like
- 56:21it's the most natural show anyone will watch, you know, like we're doing
- 56:25a job, we have a goal at the end of the season, finish
- 56:28it out. Everyone hopefully is safe, making money, and uh, you
- 56:31know, it's just it's you know, it's funny because like the drama and
- 56:35like the storylines, they they just come with working on a ya they like,
- 56:40it's just included when in that work environment, you know, so no
- 56:44one's like faking doing this. It's it's none of that. It's just it
- 56:49just comes with the territory. So a producer isn't going to talk to a
- 56:53crew member when they're not filming and say, hey, you know, maybe
- 56:59you could go and the galley and talk to the chef about, you know,
- 57:02how he needs more drizzle and garnish on his dishes. No, I
- 57:07mean that's all, you know, it's mostly like you know, the chief
- 57:10stus like Asia, you know, Hannah, Kate, they were all really
- 57:14good with interacting with the chefs, you know, and that's I think that's
- 57:17mostly why that's a lot of drama comes from the chiefs and the chef's button
- 57:22heads. I remember Adam the first time, you know, they were you
- 57:27know, they were they yeah, trying to think what was the down under
- 57:31with Asha and that chef he he was a disaster? Oh no, Dave
- 57:37was David? Yeah. Well yeah, I mean that's that's really where a
- 57:42lot of drama comes from, because they're trying to, you know, do
- 57:45you need anything, and they're like the hell out of you know, because
- 57:47that's so but no, I mean, it's all just part of the jobs.
- 57:53I don't sadly, I don't know if that's the right word, but
- 57:55it just that is they just are not in your ear. They're not in
- 58:00in your ear saying go talk to this person, have a you know,
- 58:02they just do not They do not interact. They stay in their room,
- 58:06watching the monitors. Yeah, and they're probably just like this is crazy that
- 58:10it's probably I don't know if it's easy for them because we're just doing our
- 58:15jobs and all this just naturally plays out, you know, so they're probably
- 58:21like, oh, this is great. You know, we have to we
- 58:22have to do anything. Yeah. So yeah, so they you know,
- 58:24obviously they keep tabs on us with the cameras and everything. But yeah,
- 58:29no, it's as real as he gets. That's so cool. I mean
- 58:32I think that, you know, because we're coming from a real Housewives place,
- 58:37you know, where the producers are probably definitely more involved there. It's
- 58:43just such a completely different show and it's hard for people to believe that it
- 58:49truly is. You know, the train is set on the tracks and you
- 58:52guys just go. Then they go and they piece together whatever they can piece
- 58:58together. And also so it's such a truncated situation, like it's six weeks,
- 59:02right, I mean how long is the charter season about that? Uh
- 59:07yeah season? Yeah, I think it depends on like, yeah, I
- 59:09think it's about maybe a couple of months. I think it's longer a couple
- 59:14months, Okay, Yeah, but yeah, I mean six weeks. They
- 59:16try and pack in I think around nine charters in that six weeks, so
- 59:21it's only two three days, you know, I forget what it is,
- 59:24but yeah, I mean they try and get as many guests in, and
- 59:28you know, you see all the crazy guests that we get, so they
- 59:30try and get a lot of those guys in. And yeah, I mean
- 59:34it's just you see everything you see on the TV is what is what you're
- 59:37getting? What? How do they get the charter guests? I mean that's
- 59:42always something that's such an actual thing. Yeah. I don't know. I
- 59:45don't know if they must I don't know if they reach out to Sandy or
- 59:49the boat, you know, whoever with the boat, you know, and
- 59:53then they go you know, they deal with like the moneies and and all
- 59:57that stuff. I don't know how that works, but yeah, I guess
- 59:59just they're going for you know, a trip or even if people are going
- 1:00:01to Greece for like a week with their families, like, you know,
- 1:00:06what was take three days out of our trip to rent this yacht out?
- 1:00:09Well, you know we're in Greece anyway, you know, so no one's
- 1:00:14really going to Greece for three days and then right right, I think they
- 1:00:17try and make like a nice you know, a nice trip out of it.
- 1:00:21But yeah, it's cool. It's cool to see meet some of these
- 1:00:23people. Uh they said tennis, Wimbledon winners, Grand Slam winners. Uh,
- 1:00:29you know John Damon, play with the Yankees and Red Sox. We
- 1:00:31had some cool people. So it's very cool to see some of these guests.
- 1:00:35Have you ever kept in touch with any of the charter guests? Any
- 1:00:37of them like one or two? You know what was you know, Merry
- 1:00:42Christmas, heavy Birthday? Yeah, but no, everyone's super nice. You
- 1:00:46know, you get to hang out with them, have a couple of drinks
- 1:00:49with them, and uh yeah, everyone's everyone's doing well, and you know
- 1:00:52they will have families and stuff. So I asked them like how the kids
- 1:00:54are doing stuff like that, So it's a very nice relationship. Are you
- 1:00:59doing music? Are you doing any raps Like I loved when you You're so
- 1:01:04funny and talented, and we always it was such a fun thing. And
- 1:01:07like any season and any below deck, you know, when someone tries to
- 1:01:10like do a song or a rap, I'm like, oh my god,
- 1:01:14he or no Colin, Okay, I belong, But so do you ever
- 1:01:19do anything with that anymore? I played, I played piano almost every day.
- 1:01:23I'll do like jam on whatever, the rap the rap thing. First
- 1:01:27of all, I was, I tell you whole time. I did one
- 1:01:30of those like rap recaps my first episode because of the rap thing I did
- 1:01:36on the show, and I just assumed I was gonna get murdered online,
- 1:01:39like you know, this guy sucks? Was he doing? And I would
- 1:01:43have been like I wouldn't find it. I'll be like, okay, cool,
- 1:01:45that's what happens when you put stuff out right. It was like the
- 1:01:47opposite. People are like, oh, I can't wait to next week.
- 1:01:51Yeah, You're like, oh my god, that took me like eighty thousand
- 1:01:53hours. Now I have to do one for every episode where the two I
- 1:01:58did like thirty forty on my thing. You know, every episode I did,
- 1:02:02I had like sixteen to eighty episodes a season, and then I did
- 1:02:06a couple of recaps and uh you know, uh, you know from other
- 1:02:08seasons and stuff. Just he became a thing and I was like, all
- 1:02:13right, I guess I gotta do this now. It's fun. Everyone's like
- 1:02:16super nice about it and they really enjoy it. So that was great.
- 1:02:22Do you have any side gigs? Because I And the reason why I ask
- 1:02:24is because last night I watch What Happens Live. Ellie said that she has
- 1:02:29an only fans and I was like, oh my, and I mean it's
- 1:02:35very She was like, it's sexy, it's sultry, and like, so
- 1:02:38are you on her only? I mean I have to assume as a supporter
- 1:02:42you've got to be on her fan. No, I don't do I don't
- 1:02:46do that. Okay, First of all, no one wants to see no
- 1:02:49one wants to see this. No, I mean, are you a subscriber
- 1:02:54of her only fans? Oh no, no, no, no, I
- 1:02:58don't. I don't do any of that stuff. Yeah, no, I
- 1:03:00just run just fire island life. That's that's in the summer, and uh,
- 1:03:07you know, playing piano once in a while and and that that's that's
- 1:03:09that. Nothing. Nothing crazy like that, do you so? So you
- 1:03:14don't have any only fans accounts? All right? And then what's your do
- 1:03:19you have a you? Are you seeing anybody? Like what's going on in
- 1:03:22your love life? You know, like once in a while, like what
- 1:03:25sucks in the summer, because that this is our peak season right now on
- 1:03:30Fire Island, right anyone's going over to the beach, So I'm there every
- 1:03:32day. I'm shot. Uh you know if someone you know, if I
- 1:03:37bump into someone, you know that piece ma interest, you know, I'll
- 1:03:40hang out with them. See you see how it goes last summer, I
- 1:03:43wasting somebody, you know maybe you know, like I said, you just
- 1:03:49never know. I'm not really out seeking somebody. If it happens, it
- 1:03:52happens. If not, it's fine. Just like ships in the night.
- 1:03:55You're just going with the breeze. You know, you're going with the knots.
- 1:04:02Gosh, it's so fun to see you. Oh my god, wait
- 1:04:04before we before we wrap up, I just have to say, I've never
- 1:04:11seen anyone make eggs and let them sit for an hour and a half before
- 1:04:15serving them for breakfast. And he still shook to my core. I don't
- 1:04:21know who's who's fault that. I don't know how that works because they they
- 1:04:28said eight thirty. They obviously got off at one nine thirty. I think,
- 1:04:31right, okay, but he's making all these fancy eggs, so like
- 1:04:36if you wait for them to wake up, now, you're gonna be late
- 1:04:42serving the eggs, you know what I mean. Yeah, Like, so
- 1:04:46he was prepping for a thirty, which he was correct, except no one
- 1:04:50was awake, right, You can't really blame that on the chart. Guess
- 1:04:54it's their vacation. So I don't really know how that works. Yeah,
- 1:04:57how long does it take ranch what they call choss? I don't know how
- 1:05:03long that's wavos run cheros? Yeah, I mean if it was like a
- 1:05:11scrambled egg, you know, or an omelet, like, I'm sure he
- 1:05:13can bang that out two minutes, you know, when they get up.
- 1:05:15But something fancy like that, you know, I don't know. You know,
- 1:05:19I kind of felt bad from him because they said a thirty and it
- 1:05:23was nine thirty, So I don't know. I don't know how at least
- 1:05:27you're very nice, very diplomatic. I thought, look, redo, redo
