2:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, I mean, they don't pay for us to do that stuff.
2:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
2:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, why don't they go on our own dime, man.
2:09
[SPEAKER_01]: I ain't got no dime.
2:10
[SPEAKER_01]: They only give me dimes.
2:11
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
2:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
2:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, before we get into talking about all those dines, we got to introduce the crew as always.
2:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Chad Van Horns, this we just mentioned of Chad Van Horns is 20 and oh, whether the app says it or not, damn it, he's undefeated.
2:26
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the way we have to say it there.
2:28
[SPEAKER_01]: We look forward to it.
2:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be a very interesting legal zone.
2:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Van Horns log group legal zone later.
2:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This evening, Sun Sentinel calmness
2:41
[SPEAKER_01]: podcast.
2:43
[SPEAKER_01]: He is part Chris pertains in the house.
2:45
[SPEAKER_01]: We were talking about your perk on the crossover yesterday.
2:47
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have to we'll discuss that in just a moment.
2:52
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the creator and all things Dawson's talk is Michael Leva gentlemen.
3:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to to like start the regular season here with you guys.
3:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Enough of the crap man.
3:05
[SPEAKER_03]: It's time to get it on big stuff.
3:07
[SPEAKER_03]: Enough of the crap.
3:08
[SPEAKER_03]: That was the crap that introduced in the crew of the No, no, I'm talking about the previous weeks.
3:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I thought I was like, damn, I was like, that's That's true.
3:17
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what you meant.
3:18
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what you meant.
3:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks, Mike.
3:19
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what you meant?
3:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what you meant.
3:21
[SPEAKER_03]: You had to win my boys.
3:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You had to win.
3:23
[SPEAKER_00]: You were defending me last week there with that country.
3:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to mention after Chad scared the crap out of me.
3:27
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
3:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what you meant.
3:29
[SPEAKER_00]: You had my back juice.
3:30
[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
3:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a little old.
3:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to keep you deep into this thing because we're going to have laughs and we're going to be who we are.
3:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I do want to quickly just, you know, say a few words.
3:43
[SPEAKER_01]: We lost somebody else here from dolphins nation this week.
3:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know the exact date, but but kippy brown.
3:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Lost Kippy Brown at the age of 71 years old for those of you who don't remember Kippy, he was a member of the Miami Dolphins coaching staff from 1996 to 1999.
4:00
[SPEAKER_01]: My first four years with the team.
4:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So two years, he was the running backs coach and then he was elevated to the offensive coordinator for final two years of the Jimmy Johnson era, where he got to work with amazing.
4:13
[SPEAKER_01]: pieces to the puzzle like the great O. J. McDuffie as we were talking about earlier.
4:18
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Kippy was such a cool cat, but neat story about Kippy in the 70s he went to, it was called Memphis State at the time, Perk, but you know, eventually he worked in Memphis.
4:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Memphis first black quarterback ever to play at Memphis, so he was a trailblazer.
4:36
[SPEAKER_01]: And then also a trailblazer in 2001, he was the head coach of the XFL's Memphis maniacs where he rolled out Jim Drucken Miller as his starting quarterback.
4:46
[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually reached out to Kippy to see if he needed a PR guy because by all one I was like I don't know how much longer I can do what I'm doing here.
4:59
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing's going to be around for real.
5:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he kept it very real.
5:05
[SPEAKER_01]: So I also have a fun damn marino holiday time signature request.
5:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Kippy Brown story, maybe for another day.
5:12
[SPEAKER_01]: But RIP Kippy is a really cool cat.
5:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he definitely was big sad.
5:18
[SPEAKER_03]: He talked about his four years with the Miami Dolphin.
5:21
[SPEAKER_03]: He actually served under seven different hate coaches.
5:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, our Jimmy Johnson was one of those guys.
5:27
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we talked a little bit, we're joking a little bit about, you know, year I led league and receptions.
5:32
[SPEAKER_03]: That was under Kippy as my, as my O.C.
5:35
[SPEAKER_03]: He finally got me going second half of the season.
5:37
[SPEAKER_03]: We even, you know, he was seeing a stingy with the rock early, man, but we figured it out.
5:41
[SPEAKER_03]: We had to talk.
5:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I was able to get some numbers up, give my numbers up, hurt, you know, just a great guy, man.
5:49
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he really was a great guy.
5:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he was the fall guy for our offense, our lackluster offense.
5:56
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, towards the end there when he became OC, you know, me, we had one of the most boring offense in the world.
6:01
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that wasn't on Kippy, that was more on how Jimmy wanted things run.
6:05
[SPEAKER_03]: You really wanted every game to be in the defensive hands, and that's how it was.
6:08
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we three now punt and they didn't care.
6:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I was just kippy, make sure we didn't lose the game for us.
6:14
[SPEAKER_03]: And so he was always up front and honest with us, man, and he will be missed 71's way too young still, bro.
6:20
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and I know kippy, I know a lot of guys in the golf community, a lot of former players.
6:25
[SPEAKER_03]: you know, it's whole week we've been talking about kippy man.
6:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So I definitely will be missed man.
6:29
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a sad week.
6:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It's happening too often with some of the guys, especially, you know, there are coaches or you know, players that were a decade or some before us, man.
6:40
[SPEAKER_03]: And kippy's one of those guys, man, and what that awkward orange you were crowned.
6:44
[SPEAKER_01]: He definitely did, definitely did.
6:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, just a neat guy that was an honor to work with him.
6:51
[SPEAKER_01]: You got, what was your first year on the beat?
6:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you just miss him?
6:54
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I just missed Kippy.
6:56
[SPEAKER_04]: I just missed Kippy.
6:57
[SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
6:58
[SPEAKER_04]: But I know of him and, you know, the respect and reverence.
7:02
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, definitely definitely will be missed.
7:06
[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
7:06
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I just drew some of my felt it was important to at least recognize Kippy here in this space.
7:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but I know everybody else is here for for one specific reason.
7:17
[SPEAKER_01]: And man, everybody is up and arms about this dolphins roster like they just woke up all the sudden realize that we're sitting here with, you know, $180 million of dead cat money.
7:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So it is that time of the year, you know, you got 90 players you're watching at camp and all of the sudden
7:34
[SPEAKER_01]: 30 people lose their jobs maybe more than that.
7:37
[SPEAKER_01]: No team has churned their roster and played the out with the old in with the new game more than John Eric Sullivan's Miami Dolphins.
7:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Picked up seven guys off of waivers.
7:47
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean that's a that's a pretty impressive number.
7:53
[SPEAKER_04]: One more, too.
7:53
[SPEAKER_04]: One more, after this, right?
7:55
[SPEAKER_04]: Eight acquisitions.
7:56
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they have to do it.
7:58
[SPEAKER_04]: They saw it here.
7:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I saw something on social media.
8:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't want to believe it.
8:01
[SPEAKER_05]: You said impressive.
8:02
[SPEAKER_05]: It could be deep impressive as well.
8:04
[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
8:05
[SPEAKER_05]: I heard that we picked up, or that we picked up eight, and nobody picked up anybody that we cut.
8:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Well?
8:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I don't know if that's, we look at it.
8:16
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's a real dice and got picked up.
8:18
[SPEAKER_01]: He got picked up at, but he's on a practice squad.
8:21
[SPEAKER_04]: He's on a practice squad.
8:22
[SPEAKER_04]: He got signed up here on his practice squad.
8:23
[SPEAKER_04]: Which I want to get to that.
8:25
[SPEAKER_04]: I feel up some rob-hunt, yeah.
8:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and what did you say, Darren Waller?
8:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Did you mention that?
8:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in the morning.
8:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, but, but, but, no, but it's, I think well.
8:34
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's all there.
8:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he is.
8:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he is.
8:36
[SPEAKER_01]: He is.
8:37
[SPEAKER_04]: He is.
8:37
[SPEAKER_04]: He is.
8:37
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's really.
8:39
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot to fascinating juice.
8:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think fascinating.
8:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Very fascinating.
8:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to discuss.
8:45
[SPEAKER_01]: But so, you know, let's talk about all the movement perk.
8:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to you cover this team for a long time.
8:52
[SPEAKER_01]: seems like a lot of movement, sign guys to practice squad one day, move them off the next day, there was a lot of different things going on, the quarterback room for get about it, outside of Mouliquil is people wanted a fair competition, they flushed everybody else who was there.
9:07
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so, you know, we talked about this from the crossover yesterday, just a lot of action.
9:13
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one topic, but the other topic is,
9:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, why do how they're dolphin fans lose in their mind and I'm not saying all of you, but like, like, where is everybody been because if if anything, you may not like decisions, John air, Sullivan's making, but he's telling you everything he's going to do.
9:30
[SPEAKER_01]: He's literally babe Ruth in this thing every time he stepped up to the plate.
9:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, the college lesson work.
9:37
[SPEAKER_04]: I'll start with with this.
9:38
[SPEAKER_04]: If I think the outrage from a lot of the dolphins fans is kind of like you remember how back in the day you would be talking to an athlete and then they see the quote in the paper and it's like I didn't say that and it looks a lot worse than they did when they said it.
9:53
[SPEAKER_04]: And that's kind of what it is.
9:54
[SPEAKER_04]: It's like, this is what a revealed looks like.
9:56
[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Sully and Halfward's telling you, they kept warning you that this is going to be a young team.
10:02
[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be a young team, draft and develop.
10:05
[SPEAKER_04]: And now when people see it, it's like, nobody told me it was going to be like this.
10:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they told you, they told you the whole time that this is what it was going to be like.
10:13
[SPEAKER_04]: So you shouldn't be upset by that.
10:16
[SPEAKER_04]: The player personnel shuffling, you know, I went back and looked at 2019, the last rebuild between September's second and September 26.
10:25
[SPEAKER_04]: I think are the dates.
10:26
[SPEAKER_04]: They had 19 roster moves.
10:28
[SPEAKER_04]: I think this might be kind of like that.
10:31
[SPEAKER_04]: But it gets to the point where
10:34
[SPEAKER_04]: are they outsmarting themselves?
10:36
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, there's been a lot of those moves where we're smarter than you and I start with Caleb Douglas, right?
10:42
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe Katie and Proctor, maybe I should start with Katie and Proctor over Ruben Bay.
10:46
[SPEAKER_04]: But Caleb Douglas, where people say that he's a fourth or fifth round pick and you're going into the season with two quarterbacks that have only been with the team for two weeks.
10:55
[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, Malik Willis has been with you longer.
10:58
[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with them.
10:59
[SPEAKER_04]: I, you know, you guys know, I like the rebuild.
11:02
[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was necessary at the corporate level.
11:05
[SPEAKER_04]: And I mean, the front office level and on the field.
11:08
[SPEAKER_04]: I like what I've seen.
11:10
[SPEAKER_04]: I do worry that they made too many changes, but I give a thumbs up to the roster and a thumbs up to the moves.
11:17
[SPEAKER_01]: When you say you agree with them, you agree with home, I'm sorry.
11:20
[SPEAKER_04]: With, with, have them selling hands.
11:21
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, got you.
11:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, okay, I thought you were saying you agree with the people that are bitching in Monin.
11:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, it was not my turn.
11:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was in a spare park where you said, yeah, no, no, no.
11:30
[SPEAKER_01]: You see, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
11:59
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I'm just keeping us on it.
12:00
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm legal counsel.
12:03
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I want to get kicked out of his channel again.
12:05
[SPEAKER_03]: All right, you used the word crap already.
12:07
[SPEAKER_03]: You haven't used the word crap for a year.
12:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Crap is cool.
12:10
[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
12:10
[SPEAKER_03]: I went wrong.
12:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I wouldn't use a use that word when I'm trying to tell you.
12:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Except.
12:14
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I see.
12:14
[SPEAKER_03]: We got my act, man.
12:15
[SPEAKER_03]: What are you saying all right?
12:16
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a new season.
12:17
[SPEAKER_01]: What is the motivation behind that?
12:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Because you know what?
12:20
[SPEAKER_03]: There's might be some kids listening.
12:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, for sure.
12:25
[SPEAKER_03]: And I got a party mouth all the time.
12:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I do most of the time all the time I do most of the time Everything the time to place for everything and in in my knee gardens It is a time for replacing because that's what they're doing right so just what are your thoughts about that I mean is a guy one of the most shocking things to me 1996 by internship here
12:45
[SPEAKER_01]: working, you know, first time working in an NFL locker room and went through camp and all these guys and then and then it was that thing where they churn the bottom four or five players of the roster and and that was also while it wasn't a rebuild like we have right now it was a new regime coming in and finding the guys they wanted to keep the few they wanted to keep and then rebuilding it in their own, you know, vision and I remember sitting there was that.
13:12
[SPEAKER_01]: And I forget who was next to him, but whoever was in the locker next to him on yesterday was gone today.
13:18
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, man, like, do they tell you that he goes, nah, they just disappear.
13:23
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
13:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that it's literally you show up in the locker room.
13:26
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like magic trick they disappear.
13:28
[SPEAKER_01]: What would your thoughts be as a player seeing this type of turnover in the locker room?
13:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, this don't become buddy buddy with too many people.
13:37
[SPEAKER_04]: That's, that's just bottom line, okay.
13:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't chum up, you know, you might back in the day a full deterrent, but now they've got this, you know, the trainers they got in the room and for everybody now, but you come and see your boys tear folded up, man, you know, it's, it's a problem.
13:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the thing, man.
13:55
[SPEAKER_03]: It's such a nature of the beast, it's such the business of the whole thing.
13:59
[SPEAKER_03]: And
14:00
[SPEAKER_03]: We, they, Johnny exiled in his last press or even talked about it.
14:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Football's a young man's game, I want young people, I want young players, and the older guys that got let go of my opinion, they didn't now shine the younger guys enough, so keep, keep bringing young guys.
14:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Keep picking these tires until we get some money next year to go out there and get the targeted.
14:21
[SPEAKER_03]: smartly targeted free agents, but they're going to continue to be young.
14:25
[SPEAKER_03]: And so, you know, it's a tough deal.
14:28
[SPEAKER_03]: And all you can do is mine your own teasing cues in that locker room.
14:31
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to go out there and do you and make sure that you take care of your business to make sure you're on the 53-man roster because you can't look out for the man next to you because like you said, he might be going and it happened over and over and over again.
14:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you, we thought we at times had a even during the season.
14:47
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not done.
14:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Why's there in the season?
14:49
[SPEAKER_03]: When some of these guys are going to be like, oh, yeah, it's going to be, it's going to be a lot of turn over.
14:54
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, you're going to our last look at the depth chart, it's going to be different colors all over the place.
15:00
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be crazy how, you know, you're going to look at that, you know, this, this team and see how much it's going to change.
15:07
[SPEAKER_03]: So, here's the thing, you know, I, you know, I, you know, I try to,
15:11
[SPEAKER_03]: The toughest part is when you start working with these guys in May, I mean, you know, March and then you get them in, you know, in April and then May all the way through training camp all the way up to, you know, to a couple days ago.
15:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Those are the toughest ones, man, because, you know, they've been grinding with you.
15:28
[SPEAKER_03]: They've been busing their butts with you, man.
15:29
[SPEAKER_03]: They've really become your friends.
15:31
[SPEAKER_03]: They've been over barbecue, you know, you probably going on vacation with some of these guys because you got to know them so well.
15:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Then the next thing you know, man, they're out the door and, you know, hopefully, you know, those friendships, you know, hopefully last, but like we said, those guys are probably still in town.
15:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, don't, don't get it twisted.
15:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Some of these dudes are going to be back with the dog for some capacity.
15:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we just don't know, especially the ones that we just talked about, just none of them got picked up.
15:55
[SPEAKER_03]: They're still in town.
15:56
[SPEAKER_03]: So, they still got a chance at some point, you know, to be resurrected in the in the awkward orange, man.
16:02
[SPEAKER_03]: But it's tough, man, and at this point the guys on the 53, they can't worry about those guys that aren't They, you know, and then how about the guys?
16:11
[SPEAKER_03]: How about the guys that made the original 53 and then they weren't on the 53?
16:17
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, those that I still work for those guys because you're probably celebrating with the family Then oh, yeah, I made it I made the 53 and then
16:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Ellie, they let you go, you know, about my Ethan Barners, a great case, and then he bringing back on practice, but still though.
16:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, practice squad money, the same is at regular money, you know, so it was a tough deal.
16:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Jews, what with that?
16:39
[SPEAKER_05]: So how many people make it on the practice squad?
16:42
[SPEAKER_05]: And then if you're not on the practice squad, are you like working out on your own or what are the people, because obviously there's still trying to make it somewhere, like,
16:52
[SPEAKER_03]: oh yeah you're on your own yeah you're on your own yeah you're at you know L.A. fitness L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A. L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A L.A
17:09
[SPEAKER_01]: And you call your agent every day.
17:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Every day.
17:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Your agent should be working for you every single day.
17:14
[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, you get to be super agents.
17:16
[SPEAKER_03]: It's got 30 guys.
17:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Who they're working hard for?
17:18
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, my guy had a guy who got money.
17:20
[SPEAKER_03]: It's just like a money.
17:22
[SPEAKER_04]: You're right.
17:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
17:24
[SPEAKER_04]: But those are the shoes they work out, guys.
17:26
[SPEAKER_04]: They got everything.
17:27
[SPEAKER_04]: Every two is that they fly around the nation.
17:29
[SPEAKER_04]: And yeah, for they work out on shoes.
17:31
[SPEAKER_04]: They're for the, uh, to get a roster spot for somebody that got injured.
17:37
[SPEAKER_05]: He wasn't that the guy, like he was sleeping on his sister's couch and then he ended up getting to deal with, I think, the redskins.
17:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
17:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And that makes a point.
17:52
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you, we talk about those Tuesday workouts, how do you go with an international team when you have these Tuesday workouts all the time?
17:58
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you get it?
17:58
[SPEAKER_03]: How do you get a free agent like myself to want to move the Guam?
18:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Do you know how to?
18:03
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's the Guam boomers.
18:05
[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
18:06
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if you talk to the team, if there's a team in Germany and you live in Seattle, I good luck getting to get to Germany and have a good sleep schedule and being able to to work out.
18:17
[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot of the.
18:19
[SPEAKER_04]: domestic guy, the mic, you might know about this.
18:21
[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of the agents domestically will tell you that they tell their clients to stay on a central time zone, sleep schedule because if you have to go to New York or Seattle for a workout, you don't want to be three hours behind and sleep.
18:34
[SPEAKER_04]: So that's very interesting.
18:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, why are people looking at that as a sign of, oh, they really are tanking?
18:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I don't know if they're acting like, oh, look, part of this is here, here's what this.
19:01
[SPEAKER_00]: First off, social media is a bad place to get the pulse of anything.
19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it just is, let's just be honest.
19:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be honest.
19:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be honest.
19:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be honest.
19:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Marty.
19:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not talking about him, but in general, social media, it's like he's not going to get rational thought and in depth conversation here in general.
19:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So people say that don't understand the aspect.
19:26
[SPEAKER_00]: He's making 3 million bucks.
19:28
[SPEAKER_00]: You probably had 200 linebackers make and far less than that.
19:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Teams are looking at money.
19:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Teams are looking at how much time is you going to play.
19:34
[SPEAKER_00]: We took three linebackers in the draft.
19:36
[SPEAKER_00]: One of which is probably going to start and where the green dot for us now looks like.
19:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, why am I going to pay this guy three million bucks last year of his deal?
19:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Probably won't be your next year.
19:46
[SPEAKER_00]: And every snap he's on the field in the year where we're not going to win anyways, he's preventing a younger player from having experience.
19:54
[SPEAKER_00]: So for Miami, it makes all the sense in the world.
19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And the fact he makes so much money in no team claimed him tells you, every other team around, we get the same thought.
20:02
[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm paying is guy three million bucks.
20:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So put him on a practice squad after week one with the money's not guaranteed.
20:08
[SPEAKER_00]: No, probably be called up to the active roster for far less money.
20:11
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how this lead works.
20:12
[SPEAKER_00]: It's cold.
20:13
[SPEAKER_00]: They have a union nation, probably fights some of this stuff, but that's how it works.
20:17
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a shop when people aren't so, here's the thing with social media.
20:21
[SPEAKER_00]: on social media, you get a lot of misinformation and it's not just about sports and everything in life, but even with the dolphins in our little community, you know, it's easier to be liked and say, blow smoke up the fan of everything for March, April, May, June, July, and then you get to this past weekend and everyone's getting caught.
20:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Why, I was told, I heard this podcast, I heard this person.
20:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's the second
20:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Engagement farming they want to be like it's a lot easier to be liked than is I think this guy's very good and next thing you know you're all that you're an idiot You sock you're so nice That's I can't go by social media.
21:02
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's the lowest little low so Mike Mike I think you got to mix up so last week I got to mix up
21:07
[SPEAKER_05]: We talked all this trash about two, all right, and we talked trash about it.
21:12
[SPEAKER_05]: I said, yeah, we said it all the days.
21:14
[SPEAKER_05]: I just been going to get booed, it's all the same.
21:16
[SPEAKER_05]: But two has got it, he makes a post, and he writes a, and he writes a, and he writes a lot of stuff.
21:21
[SPEAKER_05]: He's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not, he's not
21:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, crazy, crazy, but, you know, speaking of that, and I don't, I don't see Joe Robby in the chat, and so he must not be here or he would be in the chat.
21:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I put this on Twitter.
21:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why everyone freaked out over that.
21:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, to me, it seems so obvious that his wife has access to his Twitter and has her own Twitter, and she probably went to post on hers and say,
22:04
[SPEAKER_01]: wife and mom statement with a little heart emoji, and she did it from the wrong account, everyone's looking for the got you moment.
22:12
[SPEAKER_00]: That's all it is.
22:13
[SPEAKER_01]: It'd be different if it was like something there was something salacious that was said.
22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You're looking for rational thought on Twitter.
22:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna happen.
22:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't let the wife run the social media.
22:23
[SPEAKER_03]: You're making a $100 million from the dolphins this year.
22:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You could hire a social media person to hand in your social media team.
22:44
[SPEAKER_04]: That's really, no, it was the wife for you.
22:46
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it's a total special.
22:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I think the wife said something.
22:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was a heart, there was a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, a heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart, heart
23:14
[SPEAKER_01]: and the last preseason game.
23:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about what about the quarterbacks?
23:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Perk, there's a term you use when you think people aren't playing well and it always cracks me up.
23:24
[SPEAKER_01]: We had this whole contingent of after the two stands, we had the Quinn stands.
23:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And I lost a damn bet trying to win some Mountain Dew that Quinn Yures was never going to see the field last season.
23:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I just couldn't fathom the two who was going to sink to the lows that he did.
23:39
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we almost entered a world.
23:42
[SPEAKER_01]: where this season would have had Mike McDaniels to head coach and clean yours as a starting quarterback instead of what we're talking about.
23:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Jeff Haffley, damn.
23:52
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry if that came through here.
23:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Jeff Haffley and Malik Willis.
23:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're trying to solve it.
23:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Not only did his actions say it, he literally stood at the podium in front of Chris Perkins and the rest of the media and said it wasn't good enough.
24:09
[SPEAKER_04]: When you were, look, he was asked.
24:11
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, let's just face it.
24:12
[SPEAKER_04]: He was, he pre-proved it.
24:15
[SPEAKER_04]: He probably had to be in a session by himself as the other quarterbacks combined.
24:22
[SPEAKER_04]: I like when, as a person, but his performance was not good enough.
24:26
[SPEAKER_04]: And so I respect Sully for coming out and saying that,
24:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Sally also said that when you were as if he was up here he would say it and then he said we had a few conversations so I don't think when was surprised by this I think they probably gave him warnings that hey what you're doing is not good enough.
24:52
[SPEAKER_04]: Just so they could tell other teams, hey, he's helped rate for his dudes.
24:55
[SPEAKER_04]: He's not damn good, that's fine.
24:56
[SPEAKER_05]: And we see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib, see a quib
25:09
[SPEAKER_03]: One B, yeah, one B, yeah, one B, yeah, one B, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
25:28
[SPEAKER_01]: the same coaching career, right?
25:29
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
25:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
25:31
[SPEAKER_04]: And you know what juice Quinn had a good OTA in many camp, but he just knows died in training camp for whatever reason.
25:39
[SPEAKER_04]: I know, you know, he had the growing injury late, but for whatever reason he really knows died, but he's looked good in OTAs in many camp.
25:47
[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, he was coming off those three starts in the season.
25:50
[SPEAKER_04]: And so you thought the arrow, well, the arrow was pointed upward, but for whatever reason he just
25:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he, he looked very indecisive out there.
25:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
26:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Rose, I wasn't, you know, lots of warmed up, you know, I kind of like Quentin towards the end of the year last year.
26:05
[SPEAKER_03]: I thought he gave us a shot at times.
26:07
[SPEAKER_03]: It went football games, but man, the digression was pretty bad.
26:13
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and then you out there and watch practice, you watch some of the throws, you watch some of the throws on air.
26:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
26:19
[SPEAKER_03]: You're like, what was that?
26:21
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like the easiest part of what they do is just, you know, thrown on air, throwing the receivers in warm-ups, things like that.
26:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And it was just, it was just, I mean, I don't know what happened with that garbage juice.
26:32
[SPEAKER_05]: I was going to say, though, is that the Miami Flour or what, I mean, something obviously is happening.
26:38
[SPEAKER_05]: And the Miami Flour is a real thing.
26:40
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, if you enjoy the lifestyle down here and you're not, I don't think, where's that kind of guy?
26:44
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
26:45
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't think where's that guy.
26:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe the round-up.
26:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's for my dad, but you know, the Davy Flute.
26:55
[SPEAKER_04]: This is going to get into a, uh, how good or sunny and half that selecting quarterbacks, right?
27:00
[SPEAKER_04]: So now we got to Green Bay quarterbacks, Malith Willis and and and Kyle McCourt, and we'll see what Brady Cook can do.
27:07
[SPEAKER_04]: They got rid of Granalski, but, um, there was talk about Joe Milton the third.
27:12
[SPEAKER_04]: They should get Joe Milton the third.
27:13
[SPEAKER_04]: That's another social media thing.
27:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Mike, I don't know how to plan.
27:16
[SPEAKER_04]: No, you're sorry.
27:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, I mean, I mean, you were on with Alan for part earlier today, part like he's the proponent.
27:24
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a proponent.
27:26
[SPEAKER_04]: But I wonder what they'll do.
27:27
[SPEAKER_04]: I wonder if they would cycle through quarterbacks again.
27:30
[SPEAKER_04]: And I just wondered, can we trust their judgment on quarterbacks?
27:35
[SPEAKER_04]: Do we know that?
27:36
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
27:36
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, turning through quarterbacks like this kind of makes you wonder, right?
27:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I look.
27:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Great Mike.
27:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I just like that.
27:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Unlike previous regimes where we say that through Mike White and Skylar Tyson stink for a month, and they did nothing essentially.
27:51
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to wait around like if you don't perform.
27:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you might be my guy.
27:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't watch a buy like I'd rather have a quick leash on this stuff or whatever you want to say or it and let's move on if it's not working and try somebody else.
28:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So that part of it I kind of like and with McCourt.
28:09
[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be fine, I think, but again, I don't think there's a long-term future, or maybe as a number two, and I'm a Syracuse guy.
28:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I love Kyle McCord, but I'm just saying he's not a future number one guy and he's played almost none in the NFL except for free season where it was great, which is great.
28:25
[SPEAKER_00]: But we really don't know about him either.
28:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That's me honest.
28:28
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, let me ask you guys, let me ask you something very quickly and Jews you didn't start off.
28:32
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sorry Seth, I don't mean to hijack the show.
28:35
[SPEAKER_04]: I want to take it, take it.
28:36
[SPEAKER_04]: But there's no competition for number two and they said there was going to be competition on this team and half We said no column of court is the number one, but great pretty cook.
28:46
[SPEAKER_04]: Well, right, Brady took no go away What do you guys think about you just give them the number two or should there be competition?
28:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, how do you how do you create competition at this point is my question?
28:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say that, too, like what do you do?
28:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Other than these guys running the scout team, the opposing team's offense, you're not going against a joint practice, you're not going against the number one's on our team.
29:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you're really doing the scout team work right now.
29:11
[SPEAKER_03]: So how do you determine what I worry about these guys more than anything is quarterbacks, obviously the hardest position to play, how to heck or these guys going to be able
29:22
[SPEAKER_03]: learn this offense, you know what I mean, and such a store period of time, because so many different details that quarterbacks know that other guys on the team don't even know why the team I knew the wide receivers, all right, I didn't know the blocking scheme was I know I knew some of the running back for doing, you know, things like that, but you know, I was different, some of the other dudes all the new is X or Z or Y or slide.
29:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Porterbacks have to know a lot so I wonder how much you know this learning curve this this learning this offense you know it can't be easy because none of the offense are easy in the league I promise you that and then coming in this late in the game how much would they know if something were to happen you know
29:59
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Huntley came in and all right, you know, he managed to do some things that were okay for us, but it was so limited in what we could do with him with the in major trouble.
30:10
[SPEAKER_03]: If we don't have the guys that we just let go that know this offense, you know, available for us, and you got two guys that only been here for a week.
30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they got a week six by which is good, which means will us hopefully won't be hurt by week six because it'll probably take those guys up to a week six to know the offense.
30:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's an early by which probably helps with this a little bit.
30:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'd say that, but yeah, we won't happen right.
30:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I know.
30:37
[SPEAKER_03]: What has to happen, Mike, they've got to get in that they've got to get in that playbook like day and night.
30:47
[SPEAKER_03]: stay right beside Malik Willis, you know, you have to sit there and you have to absorb and listen to everything.
30:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Some of the smart quarterbacks we've seen guys, you know, that floco, I don't know how he pulls it all.
30:58
[SPEAKER_03]: He's got 18 million playbooks in his head and he just finds a way to make them all work.
31:03
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, he's a pick guy.
31:04
[SPEAKER_03]: That's why he went to pick.
31:07
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a low blow by Sam right here.
31:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Sam don't there's no slander or Syracuse on this channel.
31:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll tell you right now Playbook and coloring book form.
31:16
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay I love that that's the first one that went up.
31:21
[SPEAKER_00]: There were so many people We got to super chats and I don't really just super chat your comment gets right on the air Super chats are the best way to support this channel.
31:28
[SPEAKER_00]: First off one for Perk
31:29
[SPEAKER_00]: for, oh, sorry, wrong one.
31:32
[SPEAKER_00]: From Shake, Shake Money, shout out to the Michael Jordan of Beat Report.
31:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Jordan, I'm not going to need you.
31:39
[SPEAKER_05]: Shake money.
31:40
[SPEAKER_05]: He does kind of look like Michael Jordan.
31:41
[SPEAKER_05]: I can see it actually.
31:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I think his money in Prince Pertin's burner, and he was, no, no, no, shake money, he's going to do it.
31:49
[SPEAKER_05]: I think he's going to do it.
31:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to do it.
31:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Shake's a great guy.
31:52
[SPEAKER_05]: He absolutely has run his burner account.
31:54
[SPEAKER_05]: I like that.
31:55
[SPEAKER_05]: We have a second one here.
31:58
[SPEAKER_00]: from Alexander Fort, what is the last time we got a good enough of coach, press conference meltdown like the bears are who we thought they were.
32:05
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good question.
32:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't think of that coach.
32:07
[SPEAKER_00]: No, meltdowns.
32:08
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a good one.
32:09
[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't meltdowns.
32:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
32:20
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, we haven't had a good one.
32:23
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, even the playoffs was not really a meltdown.
32:27
[SPEAKER_04]: That was just super.
32:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
32:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, since we're reading from the chat here and now he didn't pay any money, Sam asks if we can get John Erick Sullivan to cut some beatwriters of who are working out, we've got to feel about that, but we've got Pete saying, how can you call Quinn Ures asks when he was playing with our backups?
33:10
[SPEAKER_04]: because he wasn't he wasn't even doing good against the backups that that like his interceptions came against the backups his best receiver was Phil Wies and that connection wasn't good late in training camp.
33:22
[SPEAKER_04]: So again, I wasn't always a quit and you were a fan, but you had to you had to see what was going on out there and it wasn't good.
33:30
[SPEAKER_04]: I can't Miller wasn't good, Bernalski wasn't good.
33:33
[SPEAKER_04]: They were just, they were screwed.
33:34
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm surprised that they made the change.
33:36
[SPEAKER_04]: So late, I agree with you, Mike.
33:39
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm worried about the quarterbacks, not having enough time.
33:42
[SPEAKER_04]: I asked HN about that, and he kind of smiled, and he said, quarterbacks are smart knives.
33:47
[SPEAKER_04]: I trust him.
33:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
33:51
[SPEAKER_01]: And somebody else halfly about it and he's like, well, that's what the heck our coaches are for, you know, good, hold them accountable, but I Hear the thing though, a lot of backers play with back ups That's what the back of that's right.
34:08
[SPEAKER_03]: They play with backers and you got to shine against back ups Like they play with them again.
34:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, now I don't know if you somebody mentioned this McCord came from now He wasn't in Green Bay for a long time.
34:18
[SPEAKER_01]: How are you?
34:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah?
34:20
[SPEAKER_01]: How close is what they're doing in Green Bay to what this offense is gonna be well he was with our new passing game coordinator Last year in Philadelphia.
34:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there you go.
34:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Put two low.
34:29
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the connection from guessing he might be up to speed quicker than someone like a Brady cuck out That's what it sounds like and maybe that's what a queen was the answer
34:42
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
35:02
[SPEAKER_01]: And the question they asked each other was, what is your biggest Miami Dolphins concern to start this season?
35:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Your biggest concern for the Miami Dolphins to start this season, OJM McDelfay, I am starting with you.
35:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Not that you're my biggest concern, I just am starting with you.
35:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, my biggest concern is, whether these young guys are gonna be able to adapt to an NFL game quickly enough.
35:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's going to be a tough adjustment.
35:30
[SPEAKER_03]: What they saw so far in the OTAs and the joint practices and the preseason is nothing compared to how it's going to ramp up.
35:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So I just want them to be ready for that.
35:39
[SPEAKER_03]: The game is going to be so much faster.
35:41
[SPEAKER_03]: The schemes are going to be so much more incredible.
35:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want guys, especially our young group of receivers to be discouraged when they're seeing these different coverages that they have never probably seen, definitely didn't see them in college.
35:52
[SPEAKER_03]: And probably haven't seen them so far at the pro level, man.
35:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So my biggest concern is young guys not getting discouraged when they're not getting the results that they're hoping for because it's going to come.
36:03
[SPEAKER_03]: The game's going to slow down for them.
36:05
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they're going to be just fine going the way.
36:07
[SPEAKER_03]: But we're looking at, you know, and I know, I listen to Joe in the morning.
36:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Joe's always talking about at some point.
36:13
[SPEAKER_03]: The dolphins can be starting three.
36:16
[SPEAKER_03]: rookie receivers at three rookie receivers on the field with the rookie tydenin and cast merit.
36:21
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're going to see some things.
36:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't think that these defensive geniuses on the other side aren't going to challenge these guys and I will it can handle, you know, you know, these guys roll into certain coverage.
36:33
[SPEAKER_03]: rolling up to cover six, you know, bringing somebody down in the box, bringing some heat, are they going to be able to recognize and break up?
36:40
[SPEAKER_03]: There's going to be so many things that happen a lot faster than they ever have.
36:43
[SPEAKER_03]: It just could not be discouraged, watch film, pay attention.
36:46
[SPEAKER_03]: And just, you know, keep working hard, man.
36:48
[SPEAKER_03]: But I just worry about being so young, these guys possibly getting discouraged when things aren't going their way or they're out there as an offense or defense getting fooled by what the other team is doing.
36:59
[SPEAKER_01]: that's fair fair point okay juices worried about young guys uh... maybe cracking when ish gets real michael leave a what is your thinking way way way way way before that can you cut that uh... juices concerned about young guys just cut that
37:15
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll be trying to get me arrested on Instagram with her like, I just asked my dad if he was a poor handsome man while I was in the room.
37:32
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm waiting for, you know, being on a log group to run that on there.
37:37
[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to look like, all right, okay, Mike, you have your stuff.
37:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I have nothing to do with it.
37:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I do not support that.
37:43
[SPEAKER_01]: If you have a thing to stress about.
37:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I like OJ so much I won't do it.
37:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's two glory needs, but I'm just going to give you the one, which I think is slightly more.
37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where they're getting a pastor from, and Jeff Halfley's going to have to be real creative, I think, because, you know, he got chop, and I like chop, but, you know, he's not coming off the greatest year ever either, so we've got to factor that in, but outside of him.
38:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where you're going to pass from, and that's going to be a big deal, so Mr. Halfley's going to have to be real creative, I think, to get some pressure, because I don't know if there's too many guys outside of the chat who can put his hand in the dirt and just get after the quarterback on this roster right now.
38:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's probably where I would look for the largest concern, and there's more than one but I think that one's at the top of the list for me.
38:30
[SPEAKER_01]: That's, that's a strong one.
38:32
[SPEAKER_01]: It was mine.
38:32
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to think of another one here before we get there.
38:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Great.
38:37
[SPEAKER_01]: What is more big is the expert concern.
38:40
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'll be brief here.
38:42
[SPEAKER_04]: I've got three of them.
38:43
[SPEAKER_04]: Undefined as airdressor.
38:45
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, thank you.
38:46
[SPEAKER_04]: the off the field is fan apathy and the read deal.
38:50
[SPEAKER_04]: I hope they know what the hell they're doing with this with this read deal and this re-organization.
38:55
[SPEAKER_01]: There are a couple of nine years in this thing.
38:58
[SPEAKER_01]: We ain't going anywhere.
38:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, don't worry about that one.
39:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me, let me cool.
39:03
[SPEAKER_04]: To me, this kind of the rebuild, the front office shuffling, the power structure, the pyramid is like the biggest underreported story.
39:11
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, you've got a 37 year old Daniel Sillman who has no NFL experience at the top of the pyramid.
39:18
[SPEAKER_04]: So those are my concerns.
39:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, interesting concerns.
39:23
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's before you got yours.
39:25
[SPEAKER_05]: I got a quick one.
39:26
[SPEAKER_01]: What are we clipping now?
39:28
[SPEAKER_05]: Devon HN.
39:30
[SPEAKER_05]: top three running back fantasy football.
39:32
[SPEAKER_05]: That's all I've got to do with that.
39:36
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, when did we have the draft yet?
39:38
[SPEAKER_01]: When is this draft, Chad?
39:40
[SPEAKER_05]: already drafted and I I drafted HN with my first my 10th overall pick.
39:47
[SPEAKER_05]: He dropped to me and I heard the offensive line is going to be great.
39:51
[SPEAKER_05]: So I went with it.
39:54
[SPEAKER_01]: They can't run block.
39:55
[SPEAKER_04]: They can't pass protect, but they can run block.
39:58
[SPEAKER_01]: That's good for you.
39:58
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
40:01
[SPEAKER_01]: It works out well.
40:02
[SPEAKER_01]: We got a quarterback that can actually run finally and we've got, you know, a superstar running back.
40:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the offensive line has been built the right way.
40:10
[SPEAKER_01]: So my biggest concern is past rush, but since that has been taken, these two things go hand in hand, and it's the secondary.
40:18
[SPEAKER_01]: The second dairy is, especially if Mike's big concern is legitimate concern, which I think it is, and then you add in the fact that there are major question marks in the second dairy, you know, we better be able to score points.
40:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, in half, I trust, man.
40:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll get in half, I trust.
40:40
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to, you've got to guide it.
40:42
[SPEAKER_03]: That's really, really good.
40:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Defensive, mind-wise, scheme-wise, you can't wait to get out of it.
40:49
[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen other teams with,
40:51
[SPEAKER_03]: terrible secondaries and we couldn't get anything done against them at times well they were trying to cover too though they were going to have to work on their work some time so form of it at least that's for damn soon some form of it so we we've got to trust that when you give coach half of your chance to scheme some of this stuff up that he's going to be able to protect some of you have to it happens all the time
41:12
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to protect week lineman with help with chips, whatever it might be, double teams.
41:16
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to protect your second there.
41:18
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to got it.
41:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Can't plan coverage, rolling up, play help over the top.
41:22
[SPEAKER_03]: That's part of coaching, man.
41:23
[SPEAKER_03]: And everybody that every single team of lead does not have 22 studs on them.
41:27
[SPEAKER_03]: They got, you know, they don't have 22 studs.
41:30
[SPEAKER_03]: And they have to make up for some of those weaknesses.
41:32
[SPEAKER_03]: And so we have to trust that half is going to have a defense out there.
41:35
[SPEAKER_03]: Now obviously, past rush is huge.
41:37
[SPEAKER_03]: It's very important.
41:38
[SPEAKER_03]: That's thing about right we got going over right now is you know we're going to get Kirk Cuss is right away.
41:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not afraid of him.
41:44
[SPEAKER_03]: I can't get me won't get me won't be you know We get up on this.
41:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
41:48
[SPEAKER_03]: We got a great chance of maybe able to make some things happen But down the road we're going to have some quarterbacks that are going to be tough So I'm looking forward to seeing how half scams schemes the first part up
41:58
[SPEAKER_03]: see how we can cover for some of our weaknesses and we do have some obviously we're very young team and you know the second area is you know it is what it is but I trust has in half I trust.
42:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Okay so you're learning about my concern.
42:13
[SPEAKER_01]: Peter.
42:13
[SPEAKER_01]: I got a question.
42:14
[SPEAKER_05]: I got a question.
42:15
[SPEAKER_05]: I heard a question.
42:16
[SPEAKER_05]: I heard a step right there.
42:17
[SPEAKER_05]: I heard scams it up real quick.
42:19
[SPEAKER_05]: Is it scams?
42:20
[SPEAKER_05]: We don't have a question.
42:21
[SPEAKER_05]: We don't have a question.
42:22
[SPEAKER_05]: We don't have a question.
42:24
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have a question.
42:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's my question this is for Chris Perkins and Chris Perkins only because this is a social media thing that's been going out for 24 hours and it would defend it's with your colleagues is the dead cap real
42:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
42:43
[SPEAKER_00]: What size is the takin?
42:47
[SPEAKER_04]: It's not real.
42:48
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, I'll say this.
42:49
[SPEAKER_04]: Omar is making too big a deal about this bull stuff.
42:53
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
42:53
[SPEAKER_04]: So that that's the side that I'm taking that that he actually believes this, but he's wrong.
43:00
[SPEAKER_04]: He's totally wrong here.
43:03
[SPEAKER_04]: This scene is spending the right amount of money on the right players.
43:09
[SPEAKER_04]: This is not a, you know, they're wasting money.
43:12
[SPEAKER_04]: They're not spending enough to the cap and blah, blah, blah, blah.
43:15
[SPEAKER_04]: There are restrictions on what they can do by choice, right?
43:18
[SPEAKER_04]: They chose to take 180 million and did it cap money.
43:22
[SPEAKER_04]: That restricts what you have.
43:24
[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah.
43:25
[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, my guy, I actually surprisingly has some inside knowledge on this.
43:29
[SPEAKER_05]: I have a attorney friend who has been working in the league for years and his soul job is to massage the cat and figure it out.
43:41
[SPEAKER_05]: So what these guys are doing is they're hiring attorneys.
43:43
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.
43:45
[SPEAKER_05]: and obviously like really smart guys.
43:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Crunch of the numbers, yeah.
43:50
[SPEAKER_05]: They're figuring out ways to make this work.
43:51
[SPEAKER_05]: Like what the rams are doing doesn't make any sense, right?
43:54
[SPEAKER_05]: Like they're going all in every year and they're like, that's eventually it'll catch up to them, but it's not.
44:00
[SPEAKER_05]: So like you can hire a great quarterback.
44:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Because they got a great quarterback.
44:04
[SPEAKER_04]: The rams have already figured it out.
44:06
[SPEAKER_03]: It would have worked for us if our quarterback would have maintained greatness or stayed on that level.
44:10
[SPEAKER_03]: What have been great for us?
44:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's a little craziness.
44:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and you already mentioned it last thing I had my list juice was that, as of today, the expectation is the Miami Dolphins will face Kirk Cousins, and not Fernando Mendoza unless the Dolphins ferocious past rush gets to Cousins and Mendoza's force to play.
44:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So are we happy?
44:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And it sounded like juicy where are we happy?
44:49
[SPEAKER_01]: We're supposed to have that to be Mendoza.
44:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I've got to see me in those.
44:52
[SPEAKER_03]: I was going to see a rookie in their first start, first start, first start is a different game and Kurt Cousin's going to be that ball.
44:59
[SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be quick, short and sweet kind of like with Atlanta did to us in the preseason game, you know, hopefully half will have you guys a little more up in bump and run, some of with some help, all two of it did and his numbers were flated and flated.
45:12
[SPEAKER_03]: He had the one long past pits, everything was dickened down, you know, and look kind of cute.
45:17
[SPEAKER_05]: But he celebrated on social media, he had a whole day.
45:21
[SPEAKER_05]: He liked it.
45:21
[SPEAKER_05]: He liked it.
45:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Hell of a day.
45:23
[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah.
45:24
[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, I'm with you, Seth.
45:26
[SPEAKER_03]: I just don't fear Kirk Cousins, but I would rather see men those of, I don't fear either one of those quarterbacks.
45:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
45:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Especially in week one.
45:32
[SPEAKER_03]: I would mind seeing either one of them in the week.
45:36
[SPEAKER_04]: I think the Kyle Lewis versus Brock Bowler's matchup might be crucial.
45:41
[SPEAKER_04]: If you see Kyle as the big nickel, I could see Kurt Tubman sitting Bowler's a lot all day.
45:50
[SPEAKER_04]: That could be a really matchup to watch.
45:53
[SPEAKER_00]: the hell of the raiders thinking you've got the first pick of the draft you take this quarterback you're not very good team get them out there get them experienced let's take as long it's like I don't understand that's why the raiders honestly it's like what what are you saving them for but you know what I'm assuming but you know what I'm assuming the preseason
46:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
46:10
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you.
46:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Sorry, Perk.
46:12
[SPEAKER_04]: Go ahead, Perk.
46:13
[SPEAKER_04]: And you know what?
46:14
[SPEAKER_04]: And look, and you can tell us if you, some what they say is what you guys see is only the tip of the iceberg.
46:20
[SPEAKER_04]: You don't see the meetings.
46:22
[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, Fernando might be a divester.
46:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
46:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Not be picking up the offense at all.
46:27
[SPEAKER_01]: I doubt that's the issue.
46:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I bet he on the face.
46:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure he's the font there.
46:32
[SPEAKER_03]: Just yeah, I don't know.
46:33
[SPEAKER_03]: You never know.
46:34
[SPEAKER_03]: I never know.
46:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't, you know, I don't the only reason I think, yeah.
46:38
[SPEAKER_03]: I, you can't, I can't even name anything about.
46:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Give me, I mean, give me some running.
46:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't run anyway.
46:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, gentie, you know, he's hurt.
46:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Give me some, give me some, give me some, why I received it.
46:46
[SPEAKER_03]: I was, yeah, yeah.
46:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Give me some, why I received this though.
46:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the receiver state.
46:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't recognize one name.
46:52
[SPEAKER_01]: They're trash.
46:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a reason they were able to grab Fernando Mendoza and they didn't think it all.
46:57
[SPEAKER_01]: They went and got a quarterback that can line up and play.
47:00
[SPEAKER_01]: Now if you were a team competing for, you know, you think you're going to make your Super Bowl run, then Kirk Cousins probably his past is primal, although he still would fleece you for $100 million contract.
47:10
[SPEAKER_01]: But they got a guy that they could, you know what Kirk cousins is for them right now.
47:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Kirk cousins.
47:16
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what exactly what you're looking at.
47:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Kirk cousins is Ryan Fitzpatrick, 2019 Miami Dolphins.
47:23
[SPEAKER_01]: That's when he says the Raiders right now as they bring Fernando.
47:29
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about low amendosa and I think Fernando's I think he's going to be a player set set set I want Mike I want you to clip this.
47:37
[SPEAKER_05]: I think part might be agreement, but he doesn't have to do it I think this is Jamarkus, Mendoza No, I know all of you say no
47:48
[SPEAKER_03]: Go ahead because I'm going to say why I'm going to say I get a team in doses work ethic is way better Did your mark agree was that that part right there alone he's going to be
48:00
[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to be more successful on that part of the loan.
48:03
[SPEAKER_03]: This, those are, he loves the game, just student at the game.
48:07
[SPEAKER_03]: So Marcus Russell got paid, got there late, and that's it.
48:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I know what's all about his, you think?
48:13
[SPEAKER_01]: You think they'll hold on.
48:14
[SPEAKER_01]: It's random and those that hit the purple drink right now, because I don't think that is.
48:18
[SPEAKER_04]: I can't ignore what's happening in the chat right now.
48:21
[SPEAKER_04]: Number one, Carlos just dropped something.
48:23
[SPEAKER_04]: Thank you, Carlos.
48:23
[SPEAKER_01]: And a terrific way to spend the Wednesday night, but while he didn't make a donation.
48:40
[SPEAKER_01]: How about I think donation coming from the nonprofit world while he didn't or whatever you call those super chats super chance Pete says I'm new to the show, but the lawyer seems suspect
48:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yes, he was offended last week.
48:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Follow the rules, yes, right.
48:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I said it, he was offended by the rule.
48:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Enemy of America, enemy of America.
49:01
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, my God.
49:02
[SPEAKER_04]: When the attorneys are worse than the media, I'll lie to you.
49:06
[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, I think the difference is, Perk, I support the people that pay me.
49:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And then finally here, Arlo's juice says that his wife was very impressed with your lead on the Congoline on the player's cruise a few years back.
49:28
[SPEAKER_01]: You know right, I'm a leader big set.
49:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a leader and a great followers man, no we had it, we had a great time.
49:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, they're still here because just when you start to question our guy Chad Van Horn, it is now time for him to flex all of his muscle.
49:51
[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to tear the sleeves off of the shirt right now because it's time for the Van Horn law group legal zone and Chad, I have to ask you about this one.
49:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So there is a lawsuit.
50:01
[SPEAKER_01]: involving the National Football League's all-time leading Russia, Emmett Smith, and a legend, and we're put it out there in a legend, I don't just say that because he's a gator, and a ledge 2.5 million dollar Ponzi like, which is interesting.
50:16
[SPEAKER_01]: Ponzi life, investment deal, what in God's Green Earth is going on?
50:22
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're talking about my favorite all-time Arizona Cardinal.
50:27
[SPEAKER_05]: And so, let me ask you a little bit of what we're going to do in my wrong.
50:33
[SPEAKER_05]: Let me ask you a question.
50:36
[SPEAKER_05]: Let's say that you have some money sitting around, I said, look, I need $2.5 million, and I'm going to use this money to build a solar farm.
50:44
[SPEAKER_05]: But instead, I think,
50:46
[SPEAKER_05]: Allegedly, take your money and use it to pay off somebody else I already owe.
50:53
[SPEAKER_05]: What is fraud?
50:54
[SPEAKER_05]: fraud.
50:55
[SPEAKER_05]: That's probably like fraud, gently like, I guess you should call that.
51:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Because that's essentially the allegation that this lawsuit is bringing against Emmett Smith.
51:08
[SPEAKER_05]: Now before the cowboy stands and Arizona Cardinal fans come after me, these are strictly allegations.
51:14
[SPEAKER_05]: Emmett Smith certainly hasn't hasn't been found a lot liable for anything, except for having bad commercials.
51:21
[SPEAKER_05]: Tom.
51:22
[SPEAKER_05]: But our all-time, leading Russia, three Super Bowl rings.
51:27
[SPEAKER_05]: Hall of Famer is now going into a legal battle.
51:31
[SPEAKER_05]: And some of these business partners are really coming after him under this Texas Solar Project called Project Exodus, which we can make jokes about that name.
51:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, cheese.
51:43
[SPEAKER_05]: But according to lawsuit, hit-to-law provided $2.5 million in 2023 for the project and was told the money would be repaid within months.
51:53
[SPEAKER_05]: Instead, the lawsuit alleges that it paid off another company that was already owed.
51:59
[SPEAKER_05]: And in fact, the lawsuit describes the management as operating, like you said, essentially like a Ponzi scheme, taking money from one person to give it to another and a mother to keep it going.
52:13
[SPEAKER_05]: So what's the difference between terrible business deal?
52:16
[SPEAKER_05]: Which, unfortunately, many athletes get into an actual fraud, which, unfortunately, many athletes get into.
52:22
[SPEAKER_05]: Because simply losing someone's money isn't automatically fraud.
52:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Business is fail every single day, I deal with that all the time.
52:29
[SPEAKER_05]: You can tell someone and look, I think we're gonna make tens of millions of dollars on this podcast.
52:36
[SPEAKER_05]: I just need you to be a sponsor and we're all gonna make money together.
52:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's happening.
52:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We just got 10 bucks per car.
52:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you're 10 bucks per car.
52:45
[SPEAKER_05]: There we go.
52:47
[SPEAKER_05]: We're on our way.
52:48
[SPEAKER_05]: That's not necessarily fraud.
52:50
[SPEAKER_05]: fraud is different.
52:51
[SPEAKER_05]: fraud means nothing to do something material that wasn't true.
52:56
[SPEAKER_05]: I knew it wasn't true.
52:58
[SPEAKER_05]: And I wanted you to rely on it and you lost money and cost of it.
53:03
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's why this is so interesting.
53:05
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a completely different ball game than just puffery or where we're talking about that.
53:10
[SPEAKER_05]: And what's really important about this, too, is if it is found to be fraudulent or a Ponzi scheme, it is nondist chargeable in bankruptcy.
53:19
[SPEAKER_05]: So the lesson is this.
53:21
[SPEAKER_05]: Going broke isn't illegal.
53:24
[SPEAKER_05]: It's actually American.
53:26
[SPEAKER_05]: Making a bad investment isn't automatically fraud.
53:30
[SPEAKER_05]: Losing someone else's money isn't automatically fraud.
53:34
[SPEAKER_05]: But lying to someone to get their money, that changes everything.
53:39
[SPEAKER_05]: And sometimes even bankruptcy can't save you from you.
53:43
[SPEAKER_05]: I tried to tell y'all because I don't have one tonight.
53:47
[SPEAKER_01]: That was fire right there.
53:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Nice.
53:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we got the DJ on love going on around this time.
54:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Man, when I started seeing some of these old time athletes doing these ED commercials, I get a little nervous when I'm like, man, they'll sign up for for anything at this point.
54:15
[SPEAKER_05]: And and unfortunately, like, I truly don't believe it's them.
54:19
[SPEAKER_05]: It's it's the people behind them.
54:22
[SPEAKER_05]: And then they have people like me who would be a huge fan of like oh, I want to invest with them.
54:26
[SPEAKER_05]: It's Smith, but it's not Smith.
54:28
[SPEAKER_05]: It's the guys behind them and you need these guys are legit and then all of a sudden it falls apart.
54:34
[SPEAKER_05]: And unfortunately it's his name that takes the hit.
54:36
[SPEAKER_05]: So I have only the details that are public knowledge and it was filed.
54:40
[SPEAKER_05]: I think today or yesterday.
54:43
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's like brand new and you know, it sucks for a legend like that to be brought into something like this so hopefully gets settled hopefully gets worked out but it's it's not good.
54:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, wow, it's I thank you from glad I was excited when you said that was going to be the topic because I saw that and I was like well what in the hell.
55:04
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
55:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, sometimes you see it with guys who were not, you know, they were fringe guys, average guys.
55:10
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't expect to see it with First Ballet Hall of Famers, right?
55:13
[SPEAKER_05]: Hey, you saw it with Brett Farve.
55:16
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, you see it with, like, we're, we're, we're that going.
55:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Where's that going?
55:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Where's that going?
55:20
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to find that far.
55:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Good day, Joe.
55:22
[SPEAKER_05]: I just disappeared, huh?
55:24
[SPEAKER_05]: Unfortunately, there's users at every level, there's users at every level, and there's users at and choose, I'm sure you experience it, man, you have people coming after you for a bunch of things, and you just need to have the team.
55:38
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, you just need to have the BS meter, like I'm not getting involved, like you just got to be careful because if it goes the wrong way, it's not them, that's the headline.
55:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Right, you know that and that's the best.
55:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, emmits philosophy man is you're in a gated and you gated bait Years ago, if you want to gel on a Ponzi scheme, we'll Allen.
56:04
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's from Syracuse Oh, wait.
56:06
[SPEAKER_00]: You want to gel for a few years because the Ponzi team stuff he did
56:09
[SPEAKER_03]: He did it back and doing well though now.
56:11
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to help him out.
56:12
[SPEAKER_03]: I got the updated stories.
56:15
[SPEAKER_03]: He's back and he's doing very well right now.
56:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And he's obviously served his time.
56:19
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I love real man.
56:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was a good player.
56:22
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a good player.
56:22
[SPEAKER_04]: And Justin, we're eight Rashad Jones had money taken from him.
56:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, wow.
56:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And he got, he's getting, get never covered, right?
56:29
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
56:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he is.
56:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
56:31
[SPEAKER_04]: He got a job.
56:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he got, yeah, yeah.
56:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
56:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad to hear that.
56:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I know another story about Tim bones.
56:36
[SPEAKER_03]: He almost killed somebody about his money We won't talk about that.
56:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't even going to bring it up to you.
56:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I wasn't even going there I was not going to run man to piss off Well, you got a man you got a set of stones on you if you're going to sit there and try not going to see a word about Tim but Oh, oh, wait a quick legal zone update that idiot that I was talking about the other day that came out with a book about killing two park
57:02
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but you know what though.
57:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I was a lot of that case or like snippets ever
57:18
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody, every lawyer I know Chad, you got to tell me this.
57:21
[SPEAKER_03]: They said there's no way the prosecution, you know, proved that case.
57:25
[SPEAKER_03]: No way in the world they proved that case.
57:27
[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, no, the defense proved the case.
57:29
[SPEAKER_05]: Because you wrote, you're like, no, they're like, they said, they said no, they said no, they said, they didn't because he said that, but they said, yeah.
57:37
[SPEAKER_05]: But if you're in the jury, you're not worried about it.
57:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they said to wrote a book about how I would do it.
57:42
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, that didn't get him.
57:43
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
57:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, because there's no double jeopardy.
57:48
[SPEAKER_05]: Say yeah, man, this is an extended legal zone like I only prepare for a short moment
58:07
[SPEAKER_01]: when he told you being smart, but like, damn, I didn't know you didn't.
58:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Crazy.
58:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you did set us up perfectly for that.
58:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Try to tell y'all, as you know, this is the new and improved I tried to tell y'all.
58:18
[SPEAKER_01]: We spun the wheel.
58:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Only two people are going tonight.
58:21
[SPEAKER_01]: The first one of course is our Hall of Fame level lead off hitter.
58:25
[SPEAKER_01]: He is O. J. McDuffie.
58:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Choose.
58:27
[SPEAKER_01]: You try to tell us, man.
58:29
[SPEAKER_03]: This in big set in everybody.
58:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried to tell y'all that school is back in session.
58:35
[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to educate y'all.
58:36
[SPEAKER_03]: The dolphins just got down to 53.
58:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Same week, same lesson.
58:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Now pay attention.
58:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Kids walking, walking back into a classroom when the first thing they do is addition.
58:48
[SPEAKER_03]: at a new teacher, at a new teammates, at the work that they didn't want to do over the summer.
58:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Then comes attraction.
58:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Friends change rooms, names come off the roll.
58:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Somebody who was next to you last year isn't very anymore.
59:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Just cut down day with backpacks and bag lunches.
59:04
[SPEAKER_03]: John Eric Sullivan did the exact same thing.
59:07
[SPEAKER_03]: He added the guys who earned it.
59:09
[SPEAKER_03]: They subtracted the ones who didn't.
59:11
[SPEAKER_03]: They divide it 90-something bodies down to 53 and multiply the pressure on everybody else who made it.
59:18
[SPEAKER_03]: It's one number, 53.
59:21
[SPEAKER_03]: That's the class size now.
59:23
[SPEAKER_03]: You either made the roster or you didn't.
59:26
[SPEAKER_03]: No participation trophy, no extra credit, and definitely no sleeping in class.
59:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Or showing up late for that matter.
59:33
[SPEAKER_03]: I try to tell you all this game.
59:35
[SPEAKER_03]: and this life is just math with pads on it.
59:39
[SPEAKER_03]: You add the right people and suddenly the room feels different.
59:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You subtract the wrong ones and the standard goes up.
59:45
[SPEAKER_03]: You divide the snaps and find out who actually can handle the workload.
59:50
[SPEAKER_03]: You multiply effort by opportunity and that's how a young roster turns into a team.
59:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Kids don't want to hear it on the first day back.
59:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I know I did.
59:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Grown men don't want to hear it on the roster day either.
1:00:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody wants to highlight, nobody wants to homework.
1:00:08
[SPEAKER_03]: But who cares?
1:00:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Do the work anyway, show up anyway, make the 53 in your own life.
1:00:14
[SPEAKER_03]: It's school, job, family, this football team, because the clock doesn't pause for anybody.
1:00:21
[SPEAKER_03]: I said no's meetings.
1:00:22
[SPEAKER_03]: I watched names come off the board.
1:00:24
[SPEAKER_03]: I watched my own career go from next man up to remember when and it comes and goes fast.
1:00:31
[SPEAKER_03]: So while kids are serving pencils,
1:00:34
[SPEAKER_03]: The Miami is sharpened in the new 53.
1:00:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Remember what the math actually is.
1:00:39
[SPEAKER_03]: Additionally, it's who you bring with you.
1:00:41
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a traction, it's who you leave behind.
1:00:43
[SPEAKER_03]: The vision is how you split the work, multiplication is what happens when the right group finally clicks.
1:00:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Now go to class and get ready for Las Vegas.
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't be late or half will clown you, right Perks?
1:00:56
[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
1:00:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Or find your ass, and he will definitely carry the one.
1:01:01
[SPEAKER_03]: The one player, no one thought would make the tea.
1:01:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll try to tell you.
1:01:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, two.
1:01:08
[SPEAKER_01]: You might have to spit and lie to the bottom of this.
1:01:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you were definitely dropping some good ones.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_01]: And I would kept waiting.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, wait a second.
1:01:16
[SPEAKER_01]: He's not doing it in the math related.
1:01:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I tried to tell you all these.
1:01:19
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to carry the one at some point.
1:01:21
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yes, I'm not doing it.
1:01:22
[SPEAKER_04]: That's a great remainder, just so.
1:01:25
[SPEAKER_01]: to carry in the one that is fabulous stuff.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, since we're talking about math, nobody brings more ping pong balls to this I tried to tell you all a lot of reading Chris Perkins and guess what?
1:01:37
[SPEAKER_01]: He is up again with Perkins.
1:01:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Bring his home, what'd you try to tell us?
1:01:43
[SPEAKER_04]: I tried to tell y'all you're not going to be able to judge this rebuild or this roster until the second half of the season.
1:01:52
[SPEAKER_04]: I know you're seeing a lot of stuff right now, a lot of names, a lot of personnel shifting.
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_04]: This is a kind of an exploratory process right now.
1:02:01
[SPEAKER_04]: you have to figure out what you have and then you make your move at the end of the season, kind of like the 2019 dolphins, right?
1:02:09
[SPEAKER_04]: They start off 07, then they win five of the last nine.
1:02:13
[SPEAKER_04]: With this group, you've got to figure out what you've got at why I've received.
1:02:17
[SPEAKER_04]: You've got to figure out what you've got at tight end.
1:02:19
[SPEAKER_04]: You really got to figure out what you've got at quarterback.
1:02:22
[SPEAKER_04]: I like the offensive line.
1:02:24
[SPEAKER_04]: You've got the all pro up there in and through.
1:02:27
[SPEAKER_04]: You've got the two first round picks, right, and Tating Proctor and Austin Jackson, and then you've got the two second round picks in Jonah and Patrick Paul.
1:02:35
[SPEAKER_04]: I like that offensive line, but again, it's going to take some time to figure out exactly what you have, especially in past protection.
1:02:43
[SPEAKER_04]: Go over to the other side.
1:02:44
[SPEAKER_04]: I like the details,
1:02:48
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm kind of surprised that Zach made it through.
1:02:52
[SPEAKER_04]: He's not going to be here next year.
1:02:53
[SPEAKER_04]: He could have done the Tai Rail Dodson route, but I think that's back is such a good player and such a good leader a three time team captain that they kind of figured they need him.
1:03:02
[SPEAKER_04]: But Edge Rush, you got to figure out what you have at linebacker, aside from Brooks and Jacob Rodriguez.
1:03:08
[SPEAKER_04]: You got to figure out what you have.
1:03:10
[SPEAKER_04]: Secondary got to figure out what you have.
1:03:12
[SPEAKER_04]: They're going through all of this right now first seven eight games to figure out what they've got I'm going to judge these guys on the last few games the last eight or nine games because I think that's fair first year DM first year head coach first year quarterback a lot of unknowns I'm going to reserve judgment to the second half of the season and I think that's the right thing to do I try to tell you
1:03:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Man, you guys are on it.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like that.
1:03:43
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great.
1:03:44
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great point, Perk.
1:03:45
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, honestly, what it is, it's so weird to worry.
1:03:48
[SPEAKER_04]: It's got to be your new coach, new quarterback.
1:03:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you got to figure this out, but it didn't have to do it.
1:03:54
[SPEAKER_04]: But it'll be second half of the season.
1:03:56
[SPEAKER_03]: And after those first seven games, first half, there'll be two of you.
1:04:00
[SPEAKER_03]: You see those two of you work out there, right, Perk?
1:04:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
1:04:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
1:04:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
1:04:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's game all season long I think you can see them all season well you do you will you see a week one week you all Season long always go me as you work Always do you work out and I'll say this to Perk you're right about sex dealer but I think November 10th this year is Janoffell trade trade line.
1:04:23
[SPEAKER_00]: He'll be gone by November 10th
1:04:24
[SPEAKER_04]: to a contender.
1:04:25
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
1:04:25
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:26
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:27
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:27
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:29
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:31
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:32
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:33
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:34
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:34
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:35
[SPEAKER_03]: I would agree with you.
1:04:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:36
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:37
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:37
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:38
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:39
[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree with you.
1:04:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:40
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:42
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with you.
1:04:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I would agree with
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_01]: if it's not good enough that they recognize they're not going to be a good football team but don't drop a punt like I don't care if we're going to lose the double digit games drop a punt we'll find someone else to come out here and we'll bring this up real quick speaking of that what do you guys think about Bradley Pinnon 35 year 25 year 25 year 15 year and thunder the snap on a field goal
1:05:07
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that's silly and he goes well, I talk to Brammy and you know that Bro, it's like in your nose, he goes viral I watched him perk, I watched him punt on air and it was terrible You know me?
1:05:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no pass, I know nothing man So yeah, he made it through
1:05:26
[SPEAKER_01]: He put in the position he plays, right?
1:05:28
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, no one's paying attention yet.
1:05:30
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a good holder.
1:05:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:05:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:05:32
[SPEAKER_01]: You better hold it.
1:05:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give it a one, right?
1:05:34
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there was a good one.
1:05:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there was a good one.
1:05:36
[SPEAKER_01]: General.
1:05:37
[SPEAKER_01]: Huge.
1:05:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It could be huge.
1:05:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, there was a talk about the special teams in general, has been a business and a discipline, the penalties.
1:05:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god, it has been really hard to, you know, two out of three games opening kick off with got a penalty on it.
1:05:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
1:06:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of those guys, I mean, yeah, they play safe for your corner, but they don't have any experience there, special teams players, special teams players.
1:06:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
1:06:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that was a big part of it there, but yeah, the ponder, look, all the problems they got in the secondary, past rush, second string offensive line, second string quarterback, wide receivers being so young, no one paying attention to the ponder, week one, a feed drop to staff on a field goal, or he shanks one lane to the game and they lose.
1:06:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That guy's going to be under the microscope, like never before.
1:06:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly, I'm gonna tell you this when I did honorary captain at the last game I told half I said he's not these guys didn't take advantage of their opportunity You know they had last week and he said no and fadically Yeah, you see what he's at now Mmm, here we go guys are at now Oh, I'm gonna say it with the more time about the kicking game I'm just glad that you guys didn't work out who the jet's worked out recently
1:06:56
[SPEAKER_05]: I heard just Justin Tucker's on his way.
1:06:58
[SPEAKER_05]: He didn't get to work.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, yeah.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
1:07:02
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, and they could have brought in Justin Tucker.
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_05]: But I feel like that's just not a good look.
1:07:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he does on it today because he wants to know.
1:07:12
[SPEAKER_01]: He said, hey, Perk, why isn't opinion ass?
1:07:14
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what?
1:07:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
1:07:17
[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good question.
1:07:20
[SPEAKER_01]: He was the thing.
1:07:21
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a splatter.
1:07:22
[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm sorry.
1:07:23
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a splatter.
1:07:24
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a splatter.
1:07:25
[SPEAKER_04]: He's a splatter.
1:07:26
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a splatter.
1:07:27
[SPEAKER_01]: He's a real new level.
1:07:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I think we've got the most out of our talent.
1:07:35
[SPEAKER_00]: This is freaking none of the punter position I love, it's in a holder.
1:07:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, don't end the show.
1:07:41
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just ask you this.
1:07:43
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a punter.
1:07:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Too good.
1:07:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Choose, get us that guy here, man.
1:07:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, everybody.
