- 0:48Speaker 1: y'all doing good? Was going on? How was All Star
- 0:52Speaker 1: weekend for y'all? Busy? Man running around here every day.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I gotta ask you. I saw you had these It
- 1:01Speaker 1: looked like the All Star Game Air Forces. Are these
- 1:04Speaker 1: the official sequel to your your shoe. No, No, it's
- 1:08Speaker 1: like a pe if yours.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Essentially, I should have said it's just a sample, a
- 1:12Speaker 2: sample test, you know, a little old Okay.
- 1:22Speaker 1: I wonder like if you bust out samples because you
- 1:25Speaker 1: have that with Nike now, like if the fans and
- 1:28Speaker 1: their you know, feedback is strong enough, do you kind
- 1:32Speaker 1: of run it up the line and.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Be like what I think That's how the Green, Yellow,
- 1:35Speaker 2: Red Show came about. Yeah, that shit wasn't supposed to
- 1:37Speaker 2: come out. That was my Coachella shoe from my outfit,
- 1:40Speaker 2: and then it was just the response was heavy. Yeah, Nike,
- 1:45Speaker 2: you wanted They were like, man, we would, let's think
- 1:48Speaker 2: we should drop this one.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Talk about obviously volume two, you guys working on this
- 1:53Speaker 1: album together. What made it the right time to finally
- 1:55Speaker 1: get out the sequel to the first album?
- 1:58Speaker 2: Man was supposed to drop her last year. I think
- 2:03Speaker 2: that timing sometimes with Tom and he just like Man,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I don't know. As I got older, right, like became
- 2:08Speaker 2: an adult, it's so crazy how just like how fast
- 2:12Speaker 2: time be going, Like you just blink in the year
- 2:15Speaker 2: were over with, Like we're down there in March already,
- 2:18Speaker 2: you know, so I think that when you just got
- 2:20Speaker 2: a lot going on. Again, it's five to six of us,
- 2:23Speaker 2: so just getting everybody together and putting it together not difficult,
- 2:29Speaker 2: just time consuming. So I think we had the skeleton
- 2:32Speaker 2: since last year and just really making it makes sense
- 2:38Speaker 2: without feeling rushed. What's the goal, what's the key?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Out of everybody in the group, who's the most competitive?
- 2:44Speaker 1: In these studio.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Sessions were pretty competitive. I was I was gonna say, I.
- 2:52Speaker 3: I don't really see no copy like like Cam you
- 2:54Speaker 3: be saying that, bro, I don't really like I'm not
- 2:56Speaker 3: competitive with y'all.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Boy, I really don't feel like I don't know, I
- 3:00Speaker 2: don't like but that's like, don't.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Friendly competition, but it's friendly competition.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Nobody ever has anyone ever changed their verse because like.
- 3:16Speaker 3: I didn't, I didn't have to about like anonymous decision
- 3:19Speaker 3: that like we all knew that I sucked up changing versus.
- 3:25Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying, I don't think. I don't
- 3:28Speaker 2: think nobody ever tried to out do nobody. I ain't
- 3:31Speaker 2: never trying to.
- 3:33Speaker 4: But I think it's more like when you have something,
- 3:35Speaker 4: you be like, I know I'm about to go crazy
- 3:37Speaker 4: on this, not really like I know I got a
- 3:39Speaker 4: better versus you type thing right, still starting ship.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Still, it ain't nothing wrong with ain't nothing wrong with that.
- 3:44Speaker 2: I don't think we've ever. I don't think we've ever.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Like I'm about that, about to kill y'all.
- 3:51Speaker 5: Ain.
- 3:53Speaker 2: DC.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I hear that you have the most lit studio sessions. Yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 1: I hear that they're so lit that there's certain studios
- 3:58Speaker 1: that won't even allow you.
- 4:01Speaker 6: He knows, he knows the real inside, he knows, he
- 4:04Speaker 6: knows what going up.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Okay, can you kind of break down what is your
- 4:08Speaker 1: studio aesthetic and uh and you know, just kind of
- 4:11Speaker 1: what what comes with a DC studio session.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Man, I'm not gonna lie like it depends. It depends
- 4:17Speaker 3: on how I'm feeling. But as far as just moving forward,
- 4:20Speaker 3: like you know, I've been talking a boat, I've been
- 4:22Speaker 3: talking to people like Wallow and coach Man. A lot
- 4:26Speaker 3: of a lot of ship I had in my sessions,
- 4:28Speaker 3: you really won't see just moving forward. But I'm always
- 4:30Speaker 3: gonna keep that fun like you know what I'm saying.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I'm always gonna have that vibe in my studio session
- 4:35Speaker 3: because that's what I need to have a good studio session,
- 4:37Speaker 3: especially if I got my brothers with me, my family
- 4:40Speaker 3: or you know what I'm saying.
- 4:41Speaker 2: But just moving forward, it's gonna be a little bit mold.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Would you see the guy with like the unnecessary homies.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Around Yeah, Like like I'd be like else in DC
- 4:53Speaker 3: over there a.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Bunch of women hella smoke, hella smoke, snacks and chips
- 5:00Speaker 2: everywhere back all over the place, leaves paper, Asian flavor ashes.
- 5:10Speaker 1: You bring a boiled peanuts to the studio. So much
- 5:13Speaker 1: what he might bring. That's the worst ship about living
- 5:17Speaker 1: in l A. Like I used to live in Florida
- 5:19Speaker 1: and I used to be at the gas station in
- 5:20Speaker 1: l A.
- 5:21Speaker 3: In l A, l A, y'all bring some boll peanuts here. Man,
- 5:26Speaker 3: I might invest into like a boy peanut company and work.
- 5:30Speaker 2: It could work.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Southern California studio sessions been like the club. Yeah that
- 5:35Speaker 3: nigga nigga told me said.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Man, one time I went to a session and it
- 5:40Speaker 2: was people in the like waiting like in a lounge.
- 5:43Speaker 2: They were blasting music loud in the studio. Was I
- 5:46Speaker 2: don't know how that's possible.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It was crazy. Runners must love to see you.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Man, what what?
- 5:51Speaker 3: But I got so much trouble Nigga said, you see
- 5:54Speaker 3: you turn the studio to magic City.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I try not to laugh out a couple of my
- 5:58Speaker 2: face and look, damn, I.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Mean that's that's not necessarily a bad thing. At all times.
- 6:03Speaker 2: It was crazy. The last one was crazy.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's crazy, but a.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Good song came out of it, to be fair, A
- 6:09Speaker 3: good song, A great song came out of it.
- 6:11Speaker 1: A couple have you guys tweaked out on like any
- 6:14Speaker 1: of the new ship going on? Like these Epstein files
- 6:16Speaker 1: are kind of wild. I don't know if you'll like
- 6:18Speaker 1: paying attention to what's going on.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been paying no attention to it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: It's crazy, bro, It's cy Yeah, it's like I have
- 6:27Speaker 1: I was boiled last night. It's crazy. Hey you I
- 6:33Speaker 1: want to ask you Yetty, because you had like my
- 6:35Speaker 1: favorite album yours is the Joint you dropped a couple
- 6:37Speaker 1: of years ago that was like the trippy Yeah yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 1: what like, uh inspired you? Because that was I'm a
- 6:44Speaker 1: big tam In Polo fan and I feel like that
- 6:46Speaker 1: was kind of a really great album. To Eat Mushrooms
- 6:49Speaker 1: Too and Trip Balls to was there? Was that like
- 6:53Speaker 1: the objective because it was very psychedelic.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think the objective was an experienced
- 7:04Speaker 2: in the concept and it was it was like to
- 7:07Speaker 2: see I think it started off to see how what
- 7:16Speaker 2: would it my iteration of dark Side and Moon sound like, Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 2: that's what it started, like right, like that was the gold,
- 7:27Speaker 2: like the goal. The idea came from me being ascid
- 7:32Speaker 2: one night or day or morning or night till morning
- 7:35Speaker 2: and listening.
- 7:36Speaker 1: To dark Side Moon Oh Fire got to Pink Floyd.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and just uh, I think for a long time,
- 7:45Speaker 2: I mean even still now, it's so baffled. While like
- 7:48Speaker 2: just the production of the album is so Pink Floyd
- 7:52Speaker 2: was like so funky. I mean, they were so ahead
- 7:55Speaker 2: of them. So yeah, you know it's the seventies for sure,
- 7:57Speaker 2: you know, like and it's the album just sounded like
- 8:01Speaker 2: that we made today or tomorrow, you know. So I
- 8:04Speaker 2: think it just started as a goal to say, like, man,
- 8:06Speaker 2: what was my idea of this album? Because that's my
- 8:08Speaker 2: favorite album, one of my favorite albums. And then you know,
- 8:12Speaker 2: just how crazy could we get? You know? And I
- 8:16Speaker 2: learned a lot because that was my first time making
- 8:18Speaker 2: an album like such. So you know, nowadays when I'm
- 8:21Speaker 2: working on my next project, I've learned so much and
- 8:23Speaker 2: I got I'm like pushing it so much further and
- 8:27Speaker 2: doing you know, just just trying to tap into some
- 8:31Speaker 2: other stuff.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Would you say that that album you're psychedelic and pretty
- 8:35Speaker 1: hard the whole time. Absolutely, such a good album and
- 8:40Speaker 1: good Joshua Tree album.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, when the goal again was to build us
- 8:45Speaker 2: a world right to kind of like start to finish.
- 8:48Speaker 2: We don't feel like you have to start stop or
- 8:51Speaker 2: or skip. I feel like that's how Dark saturn Own
- 8:53Speaker 2: is for sure, no skips. And I think the goal
- 8:55Speaker 2: was just to make this album that you know, if
- 8:58Speaker 2: you got a bunch of friends over or whatever ever's
- 9:00Speaker 2: going on, you could just put it on and then
- 9:01Speaker 2: it's an atmosphere. You know, it's atmospheric. You know. I
- 9:05Speaker 2: had a lot going on in my life at the time.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I had just had my child, and my career was
- 9:12Speaker 2: in a weird place, and I was just coming to
- 9:14Speaker 2: a to a part of my life of really trying
- 9:17Speaker 2: to understand what was next for me. And I mean
- 9:23Speaker 2: I think it shows in that I'm not so different
- 9:25Speaker 2: from anything that I've done for sure.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah, what's your are you? You prefer acid over shrooms?
- 9:31Speaker 2: Absolutely?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Really? Yeah? Acid strictly, like like I don't think people
- 9:34Speaker 1: understand like if you don't eat mushrooms, you gotta eat
- 9:37Speaker 1: a ship of shroomsn't really see it isn't there.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's kind of a body high, you know. Acid how
- 9:43Speaker 2: many once small.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You do have an acid, you're gonna be on and
- 9:46Speaker 1: everything roller coaster, But how.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Many shrooms of the person? I feel like.
- 9:52Speaker 7: That's different for everybody. Like heroes dose is like five grands.
- 9:58Speaker 7: That's that's like boss final, you can do it. You're
- 10:04Speaker 7: going to cry.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Lest Have you ever been a d M T A
- 10:09Speaker 2: thousand times?
- 10:10Speaker 1: Really? But like did you do it?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Like?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Because there's there's there's the bullshit like little bape.
- 10:15Speaker 2: So I've done both. I've done. I actually prefer the vape,
- 10:18Speaker 2: you know. I got a productive yeah, And I mean
- 10:21Speaker 2: I gotta make some in Brooklyn and I mean they're
- 10:24Speaker 2: and they're they're pretty strong. But you've done like the Toad.
- 10:29Speaker 2: I haven't smoked the toad, but I've done the powder.
- 10:31Speaker 1: The free base, the crackheadish version, yeah yeah, I mean
- 10:35Speaker 1: did you go away for a little bit?
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah. I mean I hate to say if it's
- 10:39Speaker 2: definitely a crackhead version, you got a free base and
- 10:41Speaker 2: you feel like a cracked head too when you're doing it,
- 10:44Speaker 2: like like it's crazy. Yeah, they say that, and you
- 10:48Speaker 2: just like burning the crack pipe and you like in
- 10:51Speaker 2: a dark room.
- 10:52Speaker 1: What it's like you you they say that when you're
- 10:54Speaker 1: under under d M T like so much, like there's
- 10:58Speaker 1: so much being put into your brain that you can't
- 11:00Speaker 1: even handle this. You can't even remember everything.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Man, I always forget when I come out of a troup.
- 11:05Speaker 1: My homie said he lived like a nine month period
- 11:08Speaker 1: of his life where he found a girl, got a
- 11:10Speaker 1: new job, got married, and it woke up and only
- 11:12Speaker 1: twenty minutes went by.
- 11:13Speaker 2: That's tough.
- 11:14Speaker 1: That's a whole life.
- 11:16Speaker 2: I loved himt No, not like that. But I've heard
- 11:21Speaker 2: hellos stories like that.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Hey, we got to stop the interview to tell you
- 11:23Speaker 1: about our good folks. Odd Socks, man, Now, these are
- 11:26Speaker 1: the odd Socks basics, ladies and gentlemen. Now, when I
- 11:29Speaker 1: tell you this is a product that every single day

- 11:38Speaker 1: used are these odd Socks basics. Now, what odd Socks
- 11:41Speaker 1: is doing is they're kind of reinventing the sock game.
- 11:43Speaker 1: If we're being honest. And the underwear game. You know
- 11:45Speaker 1: a lot of times you'll hit Walmart, you'll hit Target,
- 11:47Speaker 1: you'll get some socks, you get some draws. They're affordable,
- 11:50Speaker 1: they end up with holes in them. They don't really
- 11:52Speaker 1: feel great. Not odd Socks, Ladies, jump. These odd Socks

- 12:29Speaker 1: fourteen ninety nine a odd socks dot Com the basics.
- 12:32Speaker 1: This is the future of socks, the future of underwear

- 12:52Speaker 1: com Man. Much love to my brothers over there with
- 12:54Speaker 1: this album. Obviously, since you guys were working on over
- 12:57Speaker 1: such a long span of time, how much of like
- 13:00Speaker 1: the older stuff made it or how much like, like
- 13:02Speaker 1: I guess, how much of this is new, like ten percent?
- 13:05Speaker 2: I think I think I think more than ten percent.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I think it's a fair amount. I mean, I don't
- 13:09Speaker 2: think none of us made this year. Well, this year
- 13:11Speaker 2: is February, but yeah, I said, but a lot of
- 13:13Speaker 2: it was made before last year. I think, yeah, because
- 13:16Speaker 2: I was on tour.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Tyler tour.
- 13:20Speaker 2: In the New York. The word I wouldn't say was
- 13:26Speaker 2: that this year last.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Year, summertime July. That's what we're really locked for me.
- 13:31Speaker 4: That's pretty recently l A. It was back to back
- 13:37Speaker 4: crazy in l A.
- 13:39Speaker 2: But I said, we just made great, like we just
- 13:40Speaker 2: made just made great songs and we made.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Great and then maybe like hey, let's let's let's get
- 13:45Speaker 1: on and started.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It was just locked in.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Is Vis like the unofficial member of the group because
- 13:52Speaker 1: he's on the album twice right there? Real yeah, and
- 13:57Speaker 1: Rio too, shots to real real Yodo.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Boy Risky, Yeah, I would, says he you ask him,
- 14:07Speaker 2: he will.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I felt with you are like so tapped in with
- 14:11Speaker 1: the obviously the Detroit Flint Ship you put out on
- 14:14Speaker 1: that's actually my favorite hip hop album of yours.
- 14:17Speaker 2: I appreciate that. Yeah, that was a good time. I enjoyed,
- 14:21Speaker 2: you know, and I did the whole blog on that project.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's I don't know, people, A lot of people don't
- 14:27Speaker 2: get the chance to really experience Detroit. But it's a
- 14:30Speaker 2: great city. It's so much fun.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and like obviously Atlanta, you guys get a lot
- 14:34Speaker 1: of credit for having like the most beautiful black women
- 14:36Speaker 1: in the world.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I always say it's Detroit, Detroit, Detroit some some about
- 14:43Speaker 2: their truth. Yeah, great place truth and they got the
- 14:48Speaker 2: Coney Islands everywhere I was, I don't love but a
- 14:53Speaker 2: little overrated.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Like when you talk to people, I always tell people
- 14:55Speaker 1: from Detroit, like, y'all's food is it's like.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Con whatever, got some sweet waters, dumb and at one
- 15:05Speaker 2: spot man, I forgot restaurant car Man. I forgot when

- 15:51Speaker 2: To overded we get it out. You don't know what
- 15:54Speaker 2: cook is.
- 15:55Speaker 8: It's not because it's definitely we you know it's gonna
- 15:58Speaker 8: be better to get it like their own guys line,
- 16:02Speaker 8: it was not worth taste, Like I would have left.

- 16:15Speaker 1: in the light.
- 16:19Speaker 2: That's the best fast food.
- 16:20Speaker 1: It's the best fast food occasions. They got to drive
- 16:24Speaker 1: through with them.

- 17:05Speaker 1: I guess I guess how long you've been DJing.
- 17:08Speaker 5: I've been professionally DJing since I was fourteen, but I've
- 17:11Speaker 5: been with that about the year now, about a year.
- 17:14Speaker 1: So you started off as a kid. Yeah you still
- 17:17Speaker 1: look like you're still a kid. You're still I saw
- 17:22Speaker 1: you have you got fun Ice in your bio, which yourself.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah asd Ice spie man, spies hate you guys. Ice cool, Okay, cool?
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm graation enforcement has that hit Atlanta pretty crazy? Because
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's obviously l A is different. Minneapolis is going crazy.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Like Minneapolis for sure, but I think they're trying to
- 17:47Speaker 2: make a presence everywhere, you know.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I think it's important to speak out though, So shout
- 17:53Speaker 1: out to I saw your bios, like, see you. You
- 17:56Speaker 1: got to take a stand sometimes, you know. Yo, whatever
- 17:59Speaker 1: happened to your fucking podc cast? Bro, you ain't done
- 18:01Speaker 1: an episode in like a year.
- 18:02Speaker 2: It was so good. What happened, man. I think that.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I think it's I think it's broadcasting is tricky when
- 18:09Speaker 2: you are a active, prominent figure in the business that
- 18:20Speaker 2: you talk about. I think it's sticky. It's a little
- 18:23Speaker 2: sticky to have a public opinion, right because you're still
- 18:29Speaker 2: in the game, right. And I think that it's you
- 18:34Speaker 2: don't want to start challenging your like like you're like
- 18:38Speaker 2: truth right, you know, you're like, damn, don't want to
- 18:40Speaker 2: be honest here, but or don't want to save the
- 18:45Speaker 2: you know, hurting someone's feelings or pissing someone off, or
- 18:48Speaker 2: you know, just start being like damn, man. I don't know.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It's not a lot. I feel like I started getting
- 18:53Speaker 2: a lot more in trouble for things I would say,
- 18:55Speaker 2: versus like it was fun and it was really.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Successful, super I mean you got legendary interviews.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Man. Yeah, I think we stopped it.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I thought the format was cool, like when you were
- 19:05Speaker 1: just kind of I don't know what, like y'all had
- 19:07Speaker 1: a little like chill vibe. It was different.
- 19:10Speaker 2: It was great. I thought it was great, man. I
- 19:12Speaker 2: appreciate that. I always I think it's cool on like
- 19:14Speaker 2: actual real journalists, you know, say that my podcast was good,
- 19:19Speaker 2: So I appreciate that.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Would you resurrect it if you ever kind of kicked
- 19:22Speaker 1: back a little bit more?
- 19:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean maybe, I don't see why not. It
- 19:26Speaker 2: was fun. I think the heart that the most annoying
- 19:28Speaker 2: part was trying to get the guests. Yeah, you know,
- 19:30Speaker 2: I think we did get great guests, but like I mean,
- 19:31Speaker 2: you had Drake, Yeah people Drake interviews. We never even
- 19:35Speaker 2: put the second one out.
- 19:35Speaker 1: We had a second you didn't put out a second
- 19:37Speaker 1: drinking right before the.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Cont thing, right before the Civil War. Yeah, so we
- 19:41Speaker 2: never put out it was good to it was really funny.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Did you guys talk about the Civil War? And that
- 19:45Speaker 1: was right before so it was like that almost wouldn't
- 19:47Speaker 1: make sense to put it out.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because it was right. It was such a
- 19:52Speaker 2: funny interview. We never put it out. Oh yeah, sitting
- 19:54Speaker 2: in the middle of the arena.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Was there any other interviews that just never made the upload?
- 19:59Speaker 4: No?
- 20:00Speaker 2: I think, well, I think we had one more, but
- 20:02Speaker 2: I think the Drake one was that was our next one.
- 20:05Speaker 2: And uh and we you know, that thing happened and
- 20:10Speaker 2: then things happened and then boom. Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Do you feel like that whole situation kind of puts
- 20:18Speaker 1: you in a weird place because you're friends with everybody.
- 20:21Speaker 1: I feel like you're you're such a lovable guy and
- 20:22Speaker 1: like you obviously get mentioned in euphoria and like just
- 20:25Speaker 1: imagine being in that position.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I don't think he'll put me in a weird place.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I was. I was with Drake for sure, so like
- 20:34Speaker 2: it wasn't like a limbo.
- 20:36Speaker 1: Well just the totality of it. Just take out the
- 20:38Speaker 1: Kendrick Drake Park. It was so many people involved in.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I think I think it was it's a it's a
- 20:44Speaker 2: sticky situation, you know that I realized just beyond me,
- 20:50Speaker 2: you know, trying to stay out of it for real.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I think you did a good job though kind of mhmm, yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 1: I mean yeah. I always wonder if people I saw
- 21:02Speaker 1: you kind of replied to somebody saying something but this
- 21:05Speaker 1: song with you Drake and Uzzi, Yeah, and that you're
- 21:09Speaker 1: you're blamed.
- 21:10Speaker 2: For having gaze. Yeah. But the truth for MA was
- 21:15Speaker 2: just I think it was it was a crazy example
- 21:17Speaker 2: who sample who Whitney Houston sample? I believe Jenna Jackson
- 21:22Speaker 2: or something something what as and and but people I
- 21:25Speaker 2: don't remember. I said something about the record because I
- 21:27Speaker 2: have a verse a version where I have a verse
- 21:29Speaker 2: on it. And I said that, and I think people
- 21:31Speaker 2: started saying I'm the reason son ever came out. But
- 21:33Speaker 2: like people gotta understand and the boys are grown.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Man.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Yeah, man, didn't he asked me for even coming to
- 21:40Speaker 2: me for the advice. I mean, like like stuff like
- 21:44Speaker 2: I don't know why people just think like I was
- 21:46Speaker 2: the person putting influence him to do all these things,
- 21:51Speaker 2: you know. Yeah, and necessarily place.
- 21:55Speaker 1: We gotta get a shout out to our new sponsor,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Raffie Law Group. Listen. I don't partner with just anybody.
- 22:00Speaker 1: And if you're from Arizona, all my az people who
- 22:02Speaker 1: are watching, y'all know, call RAFFI. Raffi Raffie Law Group.
- 22:07Speaker 1: They treat you like family, which is why I decided
- 22:11Speaker 1: to partner with them. Man, it only makes sense. The
- 22:13Speaker 1: best law group in AZ. They've helped over seventy thousand
- 22:17Speaker 1: folks in Arizona and listen, it's pretty easy. Whatever happens,
- 22:21Speaker 1: car accidents, car crashes, injuries, whatever, they handle it. My
- 22:24Speaker 1: wife actually got into an accident, this was like five
- 22:28Speaker 1: or six years ago. They handled her case, she got
- 22:32Speaker 1: paid out. It was super painless. It was super seamless.
- 22:35Speaker 1: The team was incredible. And when I tell you, man,
- 22:38Speaker 1: it's like a real family atmosphere over there. This is
- 22:40Speaker 1: not like just some random billboard lawyer, some bus stop lawyer. No,
- 22:43Speaker 1: it's a real team, all right. So make sure you
- 22:45Speaker 1: go support Raffie Law Group. And don't forget you get
- 22:48Speaker 1: into an accident, any sort of personal injury, car crash, whatever,
- 22:52Speaker 1: make sure you call RAFFI right now. Six three three
- 22:55Speaker 1: eight eight forty three thirty three. That's six three three
- 22:59Speaker 1: eight eight four three three three called rafi.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Uh.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You're a big wrestling fan. I've been I'd love to
- 23:06Speaker 1: see because I feel like you were you. You weren't
- 23:08Speaker 1: always a wrestling I've been.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I've been in resting fan since I was a pre
- 23:11Speaker 2: k oh.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I didn't know that.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I just feel like I've been seeing you every
- 23:14Speaker 1: I think, I just.
- 23:15Speaker 2: You know what it is. I just I just reignited
- 23:18Speaker 2: that flame. But at my pre k birth I got
- 23:20Speaker 2: pre k birthday priority is it's a rest a SmackDown
- 23:23Speaker 2: birthord party.
- 23:23Speaker 1: What was your like moment that got you back in
- 23:26Speaker 1: when w W came.
- 23:28Speaker 2: To Atlanta for Bad Blood, which was two years ago,
- 23:31Speaker 2: Bad Blood was good. Yeah, it was. It was when
- 23:33Speaker 2: it came to them for Bad Blood and that was
- 23:35Speaker 2: my first real WWE promotion. I had been to independent promotions,
- 23:40Speaker 2: but that was my first WWE promotion, which is the
- 23:42Speaker 2: big you know, the bigs, And it was awesome. I
- 23:46Speaker 2: hadn't I hadn't washed it in years and it was
- 23:50Speaker 2: Uh Peter was there, Rosenberg and and that after that day,
- 23:56Speaker 2: I hadn't missed it a show. So since Black Bad
- 24:00Speaker 2: Blood Atlanta, I'm seeing if you go to all the
- 24:02Speaker 2: p e I try to if it makes sense, I
- 24:05Speaker 2: don't go to all of them, but I go to
- 24:07Speaker 2: a good Yeah, like that's a that's a that one
- 24:10Speaker 2: I didn't I didn't know. I didn't do that. But
- 24:12Speaker 2: I will be at the Elements Chamber in Chicago.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That's gonna be fire.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:16Speaker 1: A J is making a return. If you had to
- 24:20Speaker 1: compare the Concrete Boys to a w w E stable
- 24:27Speaker 1: could be old school, could be new school.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Who would be Jesus Man? That's interesting. I think I
- 24:36Speaker 2: would say I would compare d C to to Got
- 24:42Speaker 2: the Godfather. You know you got a whole train. Yeah,
- 24:47Speaker 2: that's what got Big Pimp.
- 24:49Speaker 1: He came out with.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I compared camera to shutting Benjamin amazing, amazing vision too.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Was also one of the most n shape human beings
- 25:04Speaker 1: on the planet to this moment, to this moment, never
- 25:06Speaker 1: gut her business man, her business.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I would compare uh Rial to roxand Perez.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I see it.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, ros.
- 25:22Speaker 1: I don't know if you know who that is, but
- 25:23Speaker 1: it checks out.
- 25:26Speaker 2: This is so nerdy right now and I'm enjoying it.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Uh let's see. I will compare a draft too. If
- 25:35Speaker 2: I had to, like Pig, I think I would say, like,
- 25:40Speaker 2: are we only doing w W?
- 25:42Speaker 1: You could do a w m j oh J.
- 25:46Speaker 2: That's great, Yeah, that's that's fastious.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Did you see m JF just kind of promo in
- 25:50Speaker 1: the Bloodline today, which is crazy.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Because he's fighting zoos and and he was saying names.
- 25:55Speaker 1: He said, jay Uso, Yeah, I know.
- 25:58Speaker 2: I was like, he's talk about bring on the podcast.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I thought that was pretty slick. I was like, oh,
- 26:04Speaker 2: that's kind of yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Well you saw Seth Rowlins was hanging out with him
- 26:08Speaker 1: super Bowl.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Is Seth Rans is my favorite wrestler. And Macon Lynch.
- 26:13Speaker 2: You like Becky, I love, I don't like, I love.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I think she's the best female wrestler to ever cut promos. Really,
- 26:20Speaker 2: I think so.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I love Seth. I think Seth doesn't get enough flowers.
- 26:23Speaker 1: He's been the most consistent superstar in the last like
- 26:26Speaker 1: twelve years.
- 26:27Speaker 2: So I recently figured out. I got a cousin. Ain't
- 26:32Speaker 2: Rich Caster.
- 26:32Speaker 3: He was in the NFL and played for the Jets,
- 26:35Speaker 3: but he got a son named Max and I looked
- 26:38Speaker 3: up his Instagram and he actually wrestled, and he called
- 26:41Speaker 3: itself like the best wrestlerlive, and.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I call myself the best rapperlive. I'm like, for the
- 26:46Speaker 2: fuck nigga, We cousins and didn't even know that's fire.
- 26:49Speaker 2: We related same last name. Crazy?
- 26:52Speaker 1: Is he still wrestling?
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah? Max casters out?
- 26:56Speaker 1: Max, you're the indie wrestling shows. Have you been to
- 26:58Speaker 1: a fourth Rope show?
- 27:00Speaker 2: I haven't, but I watch him.
- 27:02Speaker 1: I went to the one in Vegas last year. It
- 27:05Speaker 1: was from like one am to four am. Everybody came out,
- 27:08Speaker 1: Joe Hendry, the Hardy Boys, the Godfather because you know,
- 27:12Speaker 1: shout out to Godfather. He actually manages Deja Blue Strip
- 27:15Speaker 1: Club in Vegas.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Now, wow, that's crazy. So if you ever want to
- 27:18Speaker 2: go pull up on the Godfather, he'll be at the
- 27:20Speaker 2: day fire. Yeah, that's fine. I love wrestling. Man, I'm
- 27:24Speaker 2: too tapped in. I'm ten toes deep?
- 27:29Speaker 1: Does everybody in the because I feel like nowadays everyone's
- 27:31Speaker 1: punching in? Then is there anybody is this y'all's process?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Is anybody writing? Or what's the writing process for everybody?
- 27:38Speaker 2: We do both? Yeah?
- 27:39Speaker 1: Both?
- 27:39Speaker 2: Now d C, DC do all right?
- 27:41Speaker 1: DC. You're a big puncher.
- 27:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I get eighty HD. When I try to write,
- 27:45Speaker 3: I feel like I can't write it down click enough.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I'd just rather wrap it.
- 27:48Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. I don't listen to beats
- 27:50Speaker 2: if I'm not in the studio.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Oh that makes sense, And like like even when I write,
- 27:55Speaker 1: I write to no beat. So you have like a
- 27:58Speaker 1: well you have like a melody voice said, you gotta
- 28:00Speaker 1: like you understand what you're talking about.
- 28:02Speaker 8: That we all like like, hey, should I do this beat?
- 28:05Speaker 8: Player and say to us like right to this, I
- 28:07Speaker 8: know out here to BEVM and I just know it
- 28:09Speaker 8: and I just.
- 28:09Speaker 2: Listen to the beating.
- 28:10Speaker 8: I'm just right because it makes I feel like there's
- 28:12Speaker 8: no be is easier for me to come up with
- 28:14Speaker 8: a new flow, like I can just flow out want
- 28:16Speaker 8: to then I just try to put it on the
- 28:17Speaker 8: beat after I don't know, it's it's kind of weird.
- 28:19Speaker 2: That's how I do it, though, and then like and
- 28:23Speaker 2: then that.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like a lot of a lot of
- 28:26Speaker 1: a lot of hommies will be like driving around they
- 28:28Speaker 1: catch a melody in their head, they gotta like just
- 28:30Speaker 1: do all the time, because I feel like melody is
- 28:33Speaker 1: the most important ship for sure.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Cadence. Once you got the Cadence down, you pretty much
- 28:38Speaker 2: can you know, structure the words.
- 28:40Speaker 3: You know, but I have definitely don't put it Cadence
- 28:42Speaker 3: over a beat, you know, m then go back and
- 28:45Speaker 3: put words over that like that's a good time.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I want each one of y'all to go through your all.
- 28:50Speaker 1: If you guys had to pick a single mc uh
- 28:54Speaker 1: that would be your biggest influencer, your goat, who would
- 28:56Speaker 1: it be? Will start with you DC.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Big Mode for sure, I say the Big Mold.
- 29:01Speaker 3: And if not big Mo, I say, I say fat Pat,
- 29:03Speaker 3: which is already.
- 29:07Speaker 1: It's kind of crazy that the running with the whole
- 29:09Speaker 1: big thing, by.
- 29:10Speaker 2: The way, it's crazy, but you know, you know it's crazy.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I can't even I can't even blame Dave because Dave
- 29:15Speaker 3: actually didn't know who the hell.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Big Mo was.
- 29:17Speaker 1: He's also the sweetest dude ever.
- 29:18Speaker 3: David Now, he actually called me one night he was like, DC,
- 29:22Speaker 3: tell me about Big Mo. I said, first of all, Nigga,
- 29:25Speaker 3: don't ever tell a person that you don't know who
- 29:27Speaker 3: Big Mo is because of your whole aesthetic.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Have a song called Purple Stuff.
- 29:31Speaker 3: His biggest song is called Purple Stuff, and your whole
- 29:34Speaker 3: aesthetic if the Lord track suits everything, redo that record,
- 29:39Speaker 3: by the way, Like, yeah, I'm on it, I'm on it,
- 29:43Speaker 3: but uh but yeah, I told him, like I was like, Dave,
- 29:46Speaker 3: just just just act like you knew who Big Mo was. Like,
- 29:48Speaker 3: I sent him a few songs played his album and
- 29:51Speaker 3: he he still said he didn't know who I was. Like,
- 29:54Speaker 3: why the hell you say that?
- 29:55Speaker 2: Man?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Like rest peace?
- 29:57Speaker 2: I sad.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Michael watched this passed away too?
- 29:58Speaker 2: Yeah, r Michael five thousand watchs man. He just passed away. Man,
- 30:02Speaker 2: that's terrible. Rial.
- 30:04Speaker 1: What about you on the DJ side, is there somebody
- 30:05Speaker 1: who influenced you or you kind of look up to you.
- 30:08Speaker 5: I mean, honestly, I'm very lucky because as I was
- 30:11Speaker 5: like becoming in DJ when I was like fifteen, I
- 30:14Speaker 5: surrounded myself with a lot of friends that DJ. So
- 30:17Speaker 5: I want to give a shout out to Sophie Gray.
- 30:19Speaker 5: She taught me like everything I know and this other guy,
- 30:21Speaker 5: Isaac Rose. Both of them taught me everything I know
- 30:24Speaker 5: and I still look up to them to this day.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Shout out, shot out Saim, What about you, bro? I
- 30:28Speaker 1: would say, like early Lil Wayne, and then like Future,
- 30:32Speaker 1: what's your favorite future mixtape on the spot Besmo two?
- 30:37Speaker 1: All right, what about you better?
- 30:41Speaker 2: I would say Future too?
- 30:42Speaker 1: And jay Z as well, because I like to say
- 30:44Speaker 1: a lot of punchlines that make you think it's your
- 30:46Speaker 1: favorite jay Z album. I'll say reasonable doubt.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I respect it well deathly.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, what about you man?
- 30:52Speaker 8: A lot of early like early on my biggest offls
- 30:55Speaker 8: jay Z, Like I used to always like like I
- 30:57Speaker 8: wore like all black back in the day, black tails,
- 30:59Speaker 8: black everything like in the Pirates, Like I used to
- 31:02Speaker 8: always want to wear that.
- 31:04Speaker 1: That was older jay Z, I know, all black hole.
- 31:07Speaker 1: He had the arres, he had the throwback jerseys. Yeah,
- 31:10Speaker 1: he had the button up. Yeah, he kept reinventing it quick.
- 31:13Speaker 1: He went ups, you know with the business and all
- 31:17Speaker 1: blacks and the aps. Yeah, it's kind of crazy. That's
- 31:20Speaker 1: like who.
- 31:21Speaker 8: That's like who actually got me in the reading lyrics
- 31:23Speaker 8: like as a kid and like trying to understand bars
- 31:25Speaker 8: and double and stuff.
- 31:26Speaker 1: He's like the first dude who really. I feel like
- 31:28Speaker 1: him and Biggie made like the whole not writing thing.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I thing definitely.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah, bigg used to freestyle, so that's crazy. Hm, that's fine. Yeah,
- 31:36Speaker 2: like no writing, which is it was so far for
- 31:39Speaker 2: you was cold.
- 31:42Speaker 1: And one take it. Yeah, I always say that's crazy.
- 31:44Speaker 1: J was sitting in the studio for like fifteen twenty
- 31:46Speaker 1: minutes and then he'll do.
- 31:47Speaker 2: The whole thing without they had to do one take,
- 31:50Speaker 2: you know what.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Yeah, there wasn't the digital side nowadays, I feel like
- 31:55Speaker 1: punching is there's like a gift in the curse is right, absolutely,
- 31:58Speaker 1: because I feel like punching it like you'll catch a vibe.
- 32:01Speaker 1: But I feel like you're just more intentional when you
- 32:02Speaker 1: put pen to papers, and that makes the lyrics just
- 32:08Speaker 1: makes it.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it makes it make sense. Yeah, do you write
- 32:11Speaker 2: a lot? I think I tend to do a lot
- 32:13Speaker 2: of both. Yeah, I do a lot of both. I
- 32:16Speaker 2: do a lot of recordings. I think again, like you said,
- 32:18Speaker 2: when I'm trying to be intentional. I do, right, and
- 32:21Speaker 2: I say it just like that, like if it beat
- 32:24Speaker 2: strikes a certain emotion, then it's I'm trying to be
- 32:27Speaker 2: intentional on that, and I'll write it out. Yeah. Well,
- 32:30Speaker 2: if I want to check with someone else trying to
- 32:32Speaker 2: bring my a game, I try to write it out.
- 32:34Speaker 2: For certain beats, you could just feel it and you're
- 32:35Speaker 2: just like, nah, I can get on this.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I not to say, hey, man, what's up? Booglet cap

- 33:26Speaker 1: some fun shots of my bookie.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yo.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I was able to go to see the Cha Chromocopia
- 33:31Speaker 1: tour two stops, one of my favorite tours in recent history.
- 33:36Speaker 1: You're on that tour, Tyler just showed out on that
- 33:39Speaker 1: mother for what was that experience? Like, man, because that's
- 33:42Speaker 1: one of the ones I feel like when we look back,
- 33:44Speaker 1: I think that's one of the more special tours we've
- 33:46Speaker 1: had in recent memory.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Man, it was a blessing to be chosen for that
- 33:51Speaker 2: Tyler's like you know mentor so to have that influence
- 33:58Speaker 2: in my life, Dailey, you know, it's it's very grateful
- 34:04Speaker 2: for because that's some money can't buy. You can't you
- 34:06Speaker 2: can't pay for that wisdom, for that knowledge, for that connection, right,
- 34:12Speaker 2: I mean to be put on that I hadn't dropped
- 34:14Speaker 2: the album two years, you know, so like realistically, I mean,
- 34:19Speaker 2: I have an amazing fan base and you got a
- 34:21Speaker 2: great catalog, a great catalog, but like I hadn't dropped,
- 34:23Speaker 2: so to pick me, you know, that was that was
- 34:26Speaker 2: real dope, you know, and take me all around the
- 34:28Speaker 2: world for nine months, and I learned so much. I
- 34:31Speaker 2: watched him make I'm not watching, but I watched him
- 34:34Speaker 2: make uh the newest One, Don't Stuff Gas because he
- 34:38Speaker 2: made it on the road. So I sat with him
- 34:40Speaker 2: and I watched him, and I learned. I just learned
- 34:42Speaker 2: a lot from him from me, from performing to producing
- 34:47Speaker 2: to just rapping and and and the history of hip
- 34:50Speaker 2: hop and and even fashion, you know, like in designing
- 34:54Speaker 2: and and and I just learned a lot from him.
- 34:57Speaker 2: You know, he had a group with a lot of
- 34:59Speaker 2: friends early on. Yeah, so it's like I can come
- 35:03Speaker 2: to him about everything because he's seen everything, damn everything,
- 35:07Speaker 2: and he's just he's a good source for inspiration because
- 35:14Speaker 2: he never stops.
- 35:15Speaker 1: He's also like one of the more intentional, like everything has.
- 35:19Speaker 2: He's the most, if not arguably the most intentional artist.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Everything has an aesthetic, everything has a purpose.
- 35:26Speaker 2: It's crazy or reasoning, and it's and it all had
- 35:29Speaker 2: like you see, all his purpose and it's been thought
- 35:31Speaker 2: out for him, all of every every angle of it
- 35:34Speaker 2: has already been thrown out.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's almost like even the most like sporadic album,
- 35:39Speaker 1: which was Don't Tap the Glass, had its own and
- 35:43Speaker 1: it's funny.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Don't Tap the Glasses his version of not overdoing it. Yes,
- 35:46Speaker 2: that's his version of not thinking it too hard, and
- 35:50Speaker 2: it's still very much precise.
- 35:54Speaker 6: You know.
- 35:55Speaker 2: He's I mean, I think he is the greatest artists.
- 36:01Speaker 2: We had the opportunity to go both to that to
- 36:08Speaker 2: to he had like a private at least party.
- 36:10Speaker 3: Yeah, crazy man, I think I actually I think I
- 36:14Speaker 3: stayed to listen again not no, I ended up leaving
- 36:17Speaker 3: with both, but he played it twice and I'm listening.
- 36:21Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like, damn, this is a good ass album.
- 36:23Speaker 3: And it was just a lot of inspiration. You already know,
- 36:25Speaker 3: bro to see an artist at that magnitude still, you
- 36:28Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, do something, So you know what
- 36:31Speaker 3: I'm saying personal for sure. There's only like one hundred
- 36:34Speaker 3: people there and he he showed up.
- 36:37Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 36:37Speaker 1: I feel like the other thing too about Tyler that's
- 36:39Speaker 1: important is like he'll always cater to like that core. Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: because he's got that like core, like nerdy Tyler fan
- 36:47Speaker 1: base that have been rocking with him and like, no
- 36:48Speaker 1: matter what, he always has callbacks to that audience while
- 36:50Speaker 1: still show, you know, making the whole entire thing a
- 36:53Speaker 1: lot bigger.
- 36:54Speaker 2: But his thing is, like you know something that I
- 36:57Speaker 2: learned is his thing is he like while he sure
- 37:00Speaker 2: o catered to them, but he made music for himself,
- 37:03Speaker 2: and he make what he's feeling, what he's inspired by,
- 37:06Speaker 2: regardless of it was popular, regardless of what people say
- 37:08Speaker 2: they want for him, regardless of what he know he
- 37:10Speaker 2: can't do and cut the line. They look be's calling
- 37:16Speaker 2: right now? What's a gang?
- 37:19Speaker 6: Yo?
- 37:19Speaker 1: Speaking of creep member, I thought you were in the
- 37:22Speaker 1: Concrete Boys.
- 37:22Speaker 2: It was just talking about you.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Shout out to these.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I told him you with us.
- 37:44Speaker 1: No com camera crazy. I just saw him performing the
- 37:49Speaker 1: other day, Cunningham.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I love, He's incredible, My brother.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Yo, He's incredible man, the whole everything. I just think
- 37:58Speaker 1: it's been dope because I feel like you kind of
- 38:01Speaker 1: were the first dude to embrace a lot of these
- 38:03Speaker 1: Detroit guys outside of the crazy and that's I feel
- 38:06Speaker 1: like everyone's doing their own version of what Detroit's doing
- 38:09Speaker 1: and what they've been doing for so long. Yo, you
- 38:12Speaker 1: came out of the SoundCloud era. That is so it's
- 38:17Speaker 1: historically important because we got so many incredible artists, but
- 38:21Speaker 1: also there was so much crazy bullshit that kind of
- 38:24Speaker 1: came out of that era as well.
- 38:26Speaker 2: But every era, you know, it's so funny. I remember,
- 38:29Speaker 2: I remember when I went to do my research on
- 38:32Speaker 2: just like the music that came before me, it was
- 38:34Speaker 2: a bullshit that came out of the nineties. It's fair
- 38:37Speaker 2: bullshit that came out in the fucking eighties and early
- 38:39Speaker 2: two thousand, but they are like only the twenty sixteen
- 38:43Speaker 2: and up.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I just think it was a little boy. I think
- 38:44Speaker 1: it was a little more. It was a little more elevated.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Sure the amountable, but not all of it.
- 38:50Speaker 2: No, you're right, there's some stuff out there, but it's
- 38:52Speaker 2: so crazy. I remember in twenty sixteen, before I did
- 38:54Speaker 2: my research, I didn't know this. If it was twenty sixteen,
- 38:57Speaker 2: I knew it was so much bullshit in the nineties.
- 38:59Speaker 2: I'd be like, yo, y'all tripping, you know what I'm saying.
- 39:01Speaker 2: It was a lot of weak ass ship going on
- 39:03Speaker 2: out there. And just to be a matter of fact,
- 39:05Speaker 2: I see, you know, so crazy to me, I think
- 39:07Speaker 2: about all the time. I always think about the first
- 39:10Speaker 2: song hip hop just don't fight me probably will uh
- 39:14Speaker 2: And I always think about hip hop hip rappers, you
- 39:21Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, And I'll be thinking like, damn, bro,
- 39:23Speaker 2: y'all be really acting like we just got damn like
- 39:26Speaker 2: we god, damn just couldn't like we were the only
- 39:28Speaker 2: niggas saying so didn't make no sense. Niggas was hipping
- 39:33Speaker 2: and hopping in like come on that ship, well, bro,
- 39:39Speaker 2: Like niggas be acting like come on, yeah, I doe
- 39:42Speaker 2: my brother took the store and I went in that
- 39:44Speaker 2: green grocery store. Yeah, I like that ship wasn't weak,
- 39:48Speaker 2: that she was dumb week bro. But the niggas be
- 39:51Speaker 2: acting like we were the only ones that made some
- 39:53Speaker 2: crazy shit. I think I agree with you. I do
- 39:55Speaker 2: think that there was more intention probably right, you had more.
- 39:57Speaker 2: You had a d MX and you had a bus drums,
- 39:59Speaker 2: and you had a tupe park. Yeah all of course,
- 40:04Speaker 2: you know, yes, all you had all these prodigy and
- 40:06Speaker 2: I see that my deep, So you did have there
- 40:09Speaker 2: was a lot more. You know what I will say,
- 40:11Speaker 2: I think that.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Hip hop lost.
- 40:13Speaker 2: It's like it's uh, what's the word for, Like just
- 40:17Speaker 2: like the way there was division like if you was
- 40:19Speaker 2: from the West, you sounded like it. If you was
- 40:21Speaker 2: from the northeast, sound.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I think the region I feel like the Internet,
- 40:25Speaker 1: I guess distinctiveness. Yeah, And there was also I feel
- 40:27Speaker 1: like a lot more sub genres back in the day
- 40:30Speaker 1: because it would be like because back in the day,
- 40:32Speaker 1: you would look at like Volume two from jay Z
- 40:34Speaker 1: and that would be commercial wrap. But then there'd be
- 40:37Speaker 1: like black Stars album, which would be like most stuff
- 40:40Speaker 1: until the quality that was like backpack ship. But it's
- 40:43Speaker 1: like nowadays, I feel like everything just kind of like nowadays,
- 40:46Speaker 1: like weirdly enough, like even though Playboard Card is one
- 40:49Speaker 1: of the biggest rivers in the world, like he's like
- 40:51Speaker 1: he's an underground rapper low key.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You think so. I mean I think that.
- 40:55Speaker 1: I think to a lot of people, like if you think,
- 40:57Speaker 1: like how big, just like a guy like Destroy Lonely
- 40:59Speaker 1: is right, he's still.
- 41:00Speaker 2: Kind of underground, Yeah, I guess, well just because he
- 41:04Speaker 2: don't have any radio rather as a big record.
- 41:08Speaker 1: But I just mean, like, I mean, like the underground
- 41:11Speaker 1: is big. There's like the word the Internet. The Internet
- 41:16Speaker 1: has removed kind of all the barriers.
- 41:18Speaker 2: I just feel I just and I think it's only
- 41:20Speaker 2: hip hop though I feel like we're the only genre
- 41:21Speaker 2: that doesn't. We don't really sub we don't categorize and
- 41:25Speaker 2: sub genre our genre enough. I think that we just
- 41:29Speaker 2: kind of like put it on the playing field of
- 41:31Speaker 2: just like hip hop or rap instead of like really
- 41:34Speaker 2: cutting into the depth of the genre because I don't
- 41:39Speaker 2: think I think that there's a place for all of
- 41:41Speaker 2: it for sure. I feel that when you smack it
- 41:44Speaker 2: all under one lane is when it gets a little
- 41:47Speaker 2: tricky as to what is what. But I feel like
- 41:51Speaker 2: it all, there's all of it counts for sure. I
- 41:55Speaker 2: think that I think that was what we got lost
- 41:58Speaker 2: in the beginning in twenty sixteen. When when you know
- 42:01Speaker 2: twenty sixteen, that era, that draft class of artists came in.
- 42:06Speaker 2: I think that the conversation, the first off, the genre
- 42:09Speaker 2: is so brand new, is so young that I think
- 42:12Speaker 2: even younger ten years ago, that the conversation was so
- 42:15Speaker 2: fresh and it was evolving in front of everyone's eyes
- 42:18Speaker 2: to be able to have that conversation, Oh no, this
- 42:21Speaker 2: is rapped just like anything else is wrapped. This is
- 42:23Speaker 2: just a different This is a new era, This is
- 42:26Speaker 2: a new genre, This is a new demographic. I mean,
- 42:30Speaker 2: I don't know, like we were just we were on
- 42:33Speaker 2: the verge of not on the verge. We broke an
- 42:38Speaker 2: entire new wave wrap, right. And I think that since
- 42:43Speaker 2: our genre again is so new and our genre is
- 42:45Speaker 2: so egotistical and odd, genre is so macho and odd. Genre,
- 42:50Speaker 2: so this and this and straight like straight down the
- 42:55Speaker 2: narrow path in the narrow is this the street is
- 42:57Speaker 2: trapped all these codes and ethics that come with it.
- 43:01Speaker 2: That when you got this something that's okay, completely different
- 43:04Speaker 2: than what we are used to, it's like, whoa, we
- 43:06Speaker 2: don't understand? Is that ain't hip hop? They ain't? Right?
- 43:08Speaker 2: Then didn it becomes you know, that's when it becomes
- 43:12Speaker 2: a hit.
- 43:13Speaker 1: But because well, I think that was what made you special.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Was like I remember the first record I heard of
- 43:18Speaker 1: yours was the Minnesota record, and it was just like
- 43:21Speaker 1: it just sounded like nothing else in music, Like whatever
- 43:25Speaker 1: people thought about your tone, it was so unique and
- 43:27Speaker 1: like distinct. It was like whatever, like there's nothing that
- 43:30Speaker 1: sounds like this. Shit.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Minnesota's what got me my deal. I QC.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I remember that's the first song that Coach told me
- 43:35Speaker 2: he played p He did not fucking get it.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I was about to say, I can't imagine he got it,
- 43:40Speaker 1: didn't I mean.
- 43:41Speaker 2: But PTE didn't get Let's start here. When I played
- 43:43Speaker 2: it from he was looking like where the fuck is this?
- 43:46Speaker 5: You know?
- 43:47Speaker 2: When I first first sat him down, like I want
- 43:49Speaker 2: to play something, it's different, I don't play it for you.
- 43:52Speaker 2: And I played him and I start here from start
- 43:53Speaker 2: to finish, and he was on his phones, owned out
- 43:55Speaker 2: like not there. And I remember the end of it
- 43:57Speaker 2: playing it and he was just like, I mean, I guess,
- 44:01Speaker 2: and which I didn't expect him to be crying to
- 44:03Speaker 2: here right right right right right.
- 44:05Speaker 4: But but.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, no, So I think something's you know, gott to
- 44:10Speaker 2: wrong on people.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Who do you put on the you know, I guess
- 44:14Speaker 1: out of that era if you're if you're there, I'm
- 44:16Speaker 1: sure Uzzi's there. Who else do you think is on
- 44:18Speaker 1: the Mitt rushmore than SoundCloud wave?
- 44:22Speaker 2: I was? In my opinion, I always said it was
- 44:26Speaker 2: I think me Uzzi X, like we're talking actual SoundCloud
- 44:37Speaker 2: in my opinion. You know, I say, I like the
- 44:46Speaker 2: saying a lot. I think there's a I probably would
- 44:48Speaker 2: get some flock for this, but I like to say
- 44:50Speaker 2: little Tracy I feel like little Tracy. You know, he
- 44:53Speaker 2: was a big He was such a huge figure when
- 44:56Speaker 2: I think solely to oh and Cardi and Cardi Cardi
- 45:00Speaker 2: was man me. I think me Uzzi, Cardi X and
- 45:05Speaker 2: Little Tracy in my opinion or like I don't know
- 45:11Speaker 2: if the suicide boys want suicide boys.
- 45:14Speaker 1: There was like fat naked.
- 45:17Speaker 2: He was from for every before. I used to listen
- 45:20Speaker 2: to Key on my mixtapes, a lot of mix tapes.
- 45:22Speaker 2: But you know, so Key is the old school severy
- 45:26Speaker 2: Wolf is underground, but he wasn't like on a mount
- 45:29Speaker 2: Rush one. You know, I think my rashman I will
- 45:31Speaker 2: say in my opinions, me, Uzzi, Cardi X, and I
- 45:35Speaker 2: say little Tracy recting piece to wait, uh you know Pete. Sorry,
- 45:41Speaker 2: I'm going to say pepe peep pee pee peep, not
- 45:45Speaker 2: Tracy rest in peace, a little peep yeah pepway Yeah yeah.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yeah. I feel like he was one of the first,
- 45:53Speaker 1: like real like that's where everybody was like, oh, ship,
- 45:56Speaker 1: we gotta watch what drugs were doing.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I mean man man and Man was saying
- 46:02Speaker 2: Mac yeah you know, yeah, I know people won't hear him,
- 46:07Speaker 2: like damn you like Juice White but Juice really wasn't
- 46:09Speaker 2: a part of our era. He was later he came
- 46:11Speaker 2: after it. Yeah, you know, I remember that era X
- 46:16Speaker 2: was going crazy. I remember and fucking what's the name
- 46:18Speaker 2: who got locked up? Take Care? He was going crazy, man.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I think would have been huge had his situation.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I always wonder that though, because I feel like there
- 46:27Speaker 1: was like that record was dope. But I also feel
- 46:30Speaker 1: like the lore of like the story behind the records
- 46:32Speaker 1: just kind of what made it the thing, you know,
- 46:34Speaker 1: Like I mean record Kids on the Run, you know,
- 46:37Speaker 1: had a couple of records, yes, Dallas.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the demo EP he dropped during that time, all
- 46:45Speaker 2: was fine. Yeah, I think almost every song he recorded
- 46:48Speaker 2: was fine because they don't have many. But I really
- 46:51Speaker 2: think that take Care was and it did. It did
- 46:53Speaker 2: something for the people. The people that were on the song.
- 46:56Speaker 3: But Diego Money was on that song, band Man, fari Ut,
- 47:00Speaker 3: the man man, them niggas, the people who didn't get
- 47:03Speaker 3: locked up who was on that song, they all had
- 47:04Speaker 3: careers at least they they had a chance to do
- 47:08Speaker 3: something past that point and then just go on and
- 47:10Speaker 3: do whatever the hell they want to do in life.
- 47:11Speaker 1: But is everybody individually obviously the album's coming out?
- 47:15Speaker 2: Is it?
- 47:15Speaker 1: February twenty seventh? Albums dropping? Album dropping February twenty seventh.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Is everybody individually working on solo ship?
- 47:21Speaker 2: I know, I know you are.
- 47:22Speaker 1: Has everybody got their solo shit in there? So what's
- 47:25Speaker 1: y'all got the rest of your planned out? Who's dropping?
- 47:27Speaker 1: Who's the first solo album dropping after this album?
- 47:30Speaker 3: Me?
- 47:31Speaker 2: May you? Yeah? It's done almost just a brown almost
- 47:36Speaker 2: yes too? Yeah?
- 47:38Speaker 1: What like is it going to be a mixtape? EP? No,
- 47:43Speaker 1: it'll be a project full project?
- 47:45Speaker 2: What is that like?
- 47:46Speaker 1: I don't even know the defense, I guess the only
- 47:47Speaker 1: thing is is that the labels will the labels will
- 47:50Speaker 1: say if you're mixed, if you don't count of get
- 47:51Speaker 1: your contract.
- 47:53Speaker 2: You know, on the contract though, but like it don't
- 47:55Speaker 2: count as like an album album. It's like Nigga on
- 47:57Speaker 2: your belt LP. You know.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I feel like these many deals are going to start,
- 48:01Speaker 1: including people's streaming rights. I feel like that's the next wave.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Is like you're gonna sign a record deal and then
- 48:06Speaker 1: it's gonna be like, you know, in case you want
- 48:08Speaker 1: to get on Twitch, we're gonna need a piece of that.
- 48:11Speaker 1: It's crazy sound like it sound like for sure.
- 48:14Speaker 2: We agree like that.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Yeah, no, for sure. Yeah I saw you. Were you
- 48:17Speaker 1: guys pulled up on Max?
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yeah?
