- 0:43Speaker 8: Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, I mean listening to the Sports Shock Show.
- 0:49Speaker 8: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you.
- 0:53Speaker 8: It is uh a little rainy here in the Atlanta area,
- 0:57Speaker 8: but have no doubt we are happy to be here
- 1:00Speaker 8: with you. We miss you guys out there. Some scheduling
- 1:05Speaker 8: conflicts with commanchie Greg but Kenny, you know they jet setters.
- 1:09Speaker 8: Now you know how it started off. We were all
- 1:13Speaker 8: in that little rape van panel van, riding around sharing
- 1:18Speaker 8: a box of TUTSI row pops, and you know, somebody
- 1:24Speaker 8: finally hit a lick and then decided that the panel
- 1:27Speaker 8: van was no longer suitable. And they got this to
- 1:30Speaker 8: do and that to do, and all their you know
- 1:34Speaker 8: how it works. It's the typical boy band issues. It's
- 1:39Speaker 8: hard to keep a boy band, whether it's two people
- 1:42Speaker 8: or five just in sync. It's just really and you know,
- 1:47Speaker 8: so they're back as soon as one of them come,
- 1:50Speaker 8: the other one can't. And now we's here. We even
- 1:54Speaker 8: missing a member today. But thank you sports Jocking. But
- 1:57Speaker 8: it's because of you. It's because of you, sir.
- 2:00Speaker 3: We we all, I mean, because of your platform. We
- 2:03Speaker 3: all started off. I don't know if we can call
- 2:05Speaker 3: it the rape white panel fan anymore.
- 2:09Speaker 8: When I see him, that's the first thing I think, Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 8: because it's just because of what they're known for. That's
- 2:15Speaker 8: because that's because of what they particularly, why they were inmitted,
- 2:19Speaker 8: it's why we call them that. But I'm saying, in
- 2:21Speaker 8: today's society, you can't call it no and then associate
- 2:25Speaker 8: us with it, like we always riding around with the
- 2:27Speaker 8: one TITSI roll pop that make it sound a little
- 2:29Speaker 8: bit weird.
- 2:31Speaker 3: But now because they see us here, we get to
- 2:35Speaker 3: put in the ride. I'm gonna need a spreading banks.
- 2:37Speaker 8: I just want to convey to the audience how excited
- 2:40Speaker 8: to get the band back.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's wonderful to have the band back together because
- 2:43Speaker 3: command you, Grant got a solo project he's working on.
- 2:45Speaker 8: You know, and sheets, and it's like, as soon as
- 2:48Speaker 8: I'm halfway, okay.
- 2:49Speaker 3: He done started. He just started producing Michael Jackson's album.
- 2:52Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, Like he Wade we we
- 2:55Speaker 3: we were number one on the Charge. Now he producing
- 2:58Speaker 3: Michael Jackson. Jeduling Car.
- 3:00Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm writing for uh. I'm just saying we made
- 3:03Speaker 8: the Pendograd. We missed a lot of things. I mean,
- 3:06Speaker 8: Manny pachyaw say he's coming out of retirement now.
- 3:13Speaker 3: You know, I'm saying not seriously. He might have said it.
- 3:15Speaker 3: He's just sitting around and you know, I still carrying
- 3:19Speaker 3: the whole country.
- 3:20Speaker 8: Draymond Green said, you're getting him confused with a mad
- 3:23Speaker 8: black man.
- 3:24Speaker 3: I thought that's the role he was going for. I mean,
- 3:27Speaker 3: and he said it while he was choking somebody. I
- 3:29Speaker 3: ain't no mad black man. I ain't anything. He stepped
- 3:32Speaker 3: on the dudes growing and punched him in the throat
- 3:34Speaker 3: and said, y'all need to quit confusing me with a
- 3:36Speaker 3: mad black man. Ramon man.
- 3:39Speaker 8: You know, those kind of comments win me over with people,
- 3:42Speaker 8: because you know, sometimes you think people out there really
- 3:46Speaker 8: trying to be something and aware of it. But he
- 3:50Speaker 8: with that kind of comment, he's basically saying, I didn't
- 3:54Speaker 8: know you was taking me.
- 3:56Speaker 3: I'm not kicking people in the growth the problem.
- 3:58Speaker 8: I'm not the problem, right you y'all out here with
- 4:01Speaker 8: the media is framing him up, framing him to be angry.
- 4:06Speaker 8: And I went by, I went by a dude house
- 4:09Speaker 8: and beat him up in his garage.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Framing me is as some sort of violent.
- 4:14Speaker 8: I could have sworn it was punching your teammate at
- 4:16Speaker 8: practice and kicking people in the growing that.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Put ry go beert in a choke hold, unprovoked, unprovoked.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Now listen, listen, that's normal stuff. Listen, Oh that's not
- 4:28Speaker 3: now hold on, man, no, Because I was gonna say,
- 4:31Speaker 3: be beating up on your teammate and stumping somebody in
- 4:35Speaker 3: the growing. We've all am I right, am, I right,
- 4:38Speaker 3: We've all beat up a teammate and stumped somebody in
- 4:41Speaker 3: the growing. But the headlocked during the game, bro, that
- 4:45Speaker 3: was that was the line. Even I won't cross like
- 4:48Speaker 3: and you can't defend that like. We weren't scuffling. I
- 4:52Speaker 3: was just sitting there thinking, you know what, dude, need
- 4:55Speaker 3: a headlock right now and just drabbed him and started choking.
- 4:59Speaker 8: You know that's some people finishing move ahead. Look yeah, yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 8: w W trying to put you to sleep. But just
- 5:06Speaker 8: some of the things since we last was on air
- 5:09Speaker 8: with you, most recently is the energy cocaine is selling
- 5:16Speaker 8: at a premium up at Madison Square Garden and that
- 5:19Speaker 8: is not a joke. So there is no to doom.
- 5:22Speaker 8: Doom is ride and high cocaine is making a combay.
- 5:26Speaker 8: When when you got Ben Stiller sit next to Lenny
- 5:32Speaker 8: Kravitt to next to Tracy Morgan, somebody, somebody brought it.
- 5:41Speaker 8: I'm not saying, I ain't saying all three of them,
- 5:43Speaker 8: you know, had it on them, but somebody and brought something.
- 5:47Speaker 8: And I'm not gonna say, now you don't recognize sitting
- 5:50Speaker 8: court side and wait, I don't know who that is
- 5:53Speaker 8: that's And I'm not gonna say which one of those
- 5:57Speaker 8: three I know personally, but I can kind of say
- 6:04Speaker 8: maybe be just slow bit Well it's part of Lenny's
- 6:07Speaker 8: job description. Yeah, you can't really act yourself a rock
- 6:11Speaker 8: and roll star, yeah without a habit can you Have
- 6:16Speaker 8: you ever heard of a well, now, some some who
- 6:20Speaker 8: Paul McCartney.
- 6:22Speaker 3: No, no, the Beatles, please, now you think they did something.
- 6:26Speaker 3: They had a whole album. What they.
- 6:33Speaker 8: Thought they was.
- 6:33Speaker 3: They don't even remember making the album. They woke up
- 6:38Speaker 3: from that trip at the Grammys, like nine Grammys. This happened.
- 6:44Speaker 3: What Sergeant whill s in the army.
- 6:48Speaker 8: And your knighthood with cocaine? Can you you get with
- 6:56Speaker 8: They weren't doing cocaine because I was gonna say, with
- 6:58Speaker 8: cocaine you get knighthood intoday, you know what I'm saying,
- 7:02Speaker 8: never really get any sleep on. But the New York
- 7:05Speaker 8: Knick fans are riding high and rightfully. So it's just
- 7:09Speaker 8: a style and this has always been Knicks teams. They're
- 7:13Speaker 8: just an ugly product. They play ugly. That's their rough
- 7:19Speaker 8: and tumbling style. No deficit is too far off. They
- 7:25Speaker 8: okay winning from behind basket the basket. That's just kind
- 7:31Speaker 8: of when you think of the Knicks for me, because
- 7:33Speaker 8: that's all I can go by, which is basically from
- 7:36Speaker 8: the pat Nick I mean, pat Ewing Knicks would be mine.
- 7:41Speaker 8: Where I really was old enough to pay attention, I
- 7:44Speaker 8: wasn't really the Bernard King Nicks watcher. So my watching
- 7:50Speaker 8: of the Knicks started even went to a couple of
- 7:54Speaker 8: championship games when when they made it to the East
- 7:57Speaker 8: Finals back in those days, one of my biggest memories
- 8:00Speaker 8: in life is I was at one of the games
- 8:02Speaker 8: when o J was in the Bronco, right, I was.
- 8:06Speaker 8: I was at Madison, Yeah, I was in the finals.
- 8:08Speaker 8: I was at Madison Square looking at the telestrator, like.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Man Oja and.
- 8:14Speaker 8: Who was that driving then? Because you didn't really know
- 8:17Speaker 8: who was driving Oja in the back because remember I'm
- 8:20Speaker 8: in the stadium, so there is no volume to it.
- 8:23Speaker 8: They're just showing you. You're just looking at the monitory, right,
- 8:26Speaker 8: and you see OJ in the backseat. I can't figure
- 8:28Speaker 8: out who that is driving. OJ got a self driving car.
- 8:32Speaker 8: And then you're just wondering, like who, who?
- 8:36Speaker 3: Who?
- 8:36Speaker 8: Who decided to go with him on this trip? Did
- 8:39Speaker 8: they know when they left the house?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Was OJ? It's just like a run with me somewhere, right,
- 8:43Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 8:44Speaker 8: I didn't get jammed up in this and that was Yeah,
- 8:46Speaker 8: that was my rookie year out in l a.
- 8:49Speaker 3: So.
- 8:49Speaker 8: But the Knicks fans love the energy and that they
- 8:54Speaker 8: bring to the stadium, and the Knicks now we'll play
- 8:57Speaker 8: the Pacers and the Eastern Conference Final. When you look
- 9:03Speaker 8: at this too, at the beginning of the season with
- 9:05Speaker 8: the Nick roster, they made these moves bringing big Cat.
- 9:08Speaker 8: This is where they saw themselves, you know. And you
- 9:11Speaker 8: can't put it just on the Jason Tatum injury either,
- 9:15Speaker 8: because they were up in the series. They were a
- 9:19Speaker 8: couple of minutes from winning that game when he got hurt.
- 9:22Speaker 8: So it's not like one of them he got hurt
- 9:24Speaker 8: game one or they were up to old and then
- 9:30Speaker 8: he got hurt and we came storming back. So you
- 9:33Speaker 8: have to give them their due that. Sure, could they
- 9:36Speaker 8: maybe without him getting hurt, comeback, sure, but don't make
- 9:41Speaker 8: it seem like the Knicks were not in control right
- 9:44Speaker 8: and the moment that that happened, you have to give
- 9:47Speaker 8: them their credit.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I believe that when the season started a lot of
- 9:50Speaker 3: the moves that the Knicks made made people admit that
- 9:54Speaker 3: they would, at the very least be formidable. They're going
- 9:57Speaker 3: to be a force to be reckon with. I don't
- 10:00Speaker 3: think that they were expected to be able to come
- 10:05Speaker 3: back from twenty points down and beat the defending champions.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Kind of tough, you know what I mean? And that's
- 10:11Speaker 3: the thing about people want to go, oh, Jayson Tatum,
- 10:14Speaker 3: but uh, Celtics gave them everything they had, like hard.
- 10:20Speaker 3: They weren't pulling any punches. They were straight going at it.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And the Knicks absorbed it and yeah and ride.
- 10:29Speaker 8: Their crowd get into the moment, and uh, they epitomize
- 10:34Speaker 8: this season when you hear commentators and sport analysis about
- 10:41Speaker 8: when they say somebody don't want to see.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah the Knicks.
- 10:45Speaker 8: The Knicks in there personify that this year of a
- 10:49Speaker 8: team that you know, we get in the game, it's
- 10:54Speaker 8: gonna be tough. I don't know what none of them
- 10:57Speaker 8: does to play on the next Winter School.
- 10:59Speaker 3: I don't know. I can't tell you got like a
- 11:04Speaker 3: fifty chance that is Villanova. What I'm saying now, I
- 11:08Speaker 3: think I see some commercials about Villanova and they're one
- 11:12Speaker 3: of those teams that you thought because they're not they
- 11:15Speaker 3: don't really play a lot of depth.
- 11:17Speaker 8: No, No, that's just that's that's the coach. Yeah, and
- 11:21Speaker 8: Tom Thibodeaux, that's his whole thing. So well, maybe without
- 11:26Speaker 8: foul trouble, only like two people are gonna come off
- 11:29Speaker 8: the bench. Everybody else is just gonna keep running.
- 11:31Speaker 3: And maybe we'll see that going deeper into the series.
- 11:34Speaker 8: We'll be back more of the Sports Shock Show. We
- 11:37Speaker 8: got to talk about the Preakness, Caitlyn Clark back on
- 11:40Speaker 8: the court, some you know, a couple of arrests, drug charges,
- 11:46Speaker 8: you know, the usual stuff.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Off the weekend. I wanted to know why we wasn't here.
- 11:50Speaker 8: We'll be back with more Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 15:22Speaker 3: I was dreaming up the band and my heart was
- 15:32Speaker 3: being fast.
- 15:38Speaker 8: Welcome back to this wor Shock show. I'm this wort
- 15:40Speaker 8: Shock wing Canny. Good morning to you. We got a
- 15:44Speaker 8: lot to talk about today. We've been going so long,
- 15:48Speaker 8: so we might chime on anything here in the last
- 15:51Speaker 8: seven to ten days. But something that took place on
- 15:55Speaker 8: Saturday was the Preakness, and I just fortunately happened to
- 16:05Speaker 8: about about six forty one. Remember that the Preness was
- 16:11Speaker 8: coming on at I'm about.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Saying six forty two. Now, it just was a true
- 16:18Speaker 3: happens stand another weird another weird broadcast.
- 16:21Speaker 8: Time just happenstands Now, Like I realized the I'm rolling
- 16:28Speaker 8: up this stand up and I'm man, you know what
- 16:30Speaker 8: the pre I'm still I still got time to.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Catch the Preakness.
- 16:33Speaker 8: Yeah, they ain't ran it yet, the one hundred and
- 16:36Speaker 8: fiftieth Preakness up in Baltimore. And I realized the Preakness
- 16:42Speaker 8: and horse races maybe the most overrated dollar you ever spend.
- 16:55Speaker 8: There's no pre limbs, there's no actual the horses can't talk.
- 17:07Speaker 8: Everything is minute in forty nine seconds. There's no obstacle
- 17:15Speaker 8: course to the track, like they ain't got to jump
- 17:17Speaker 8: over nothing or duck ondernother it's just an oval track. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 8: and people spend tons of money for this, And I
- 17:30Speaker 8: kept trying to go through my roller decks. So what
- 17:32Speaker 8: do I watch? It's almost like watching tuning into a
- 17:36Speaker 8: Mike Tyson fight, you know how in the eighties when
- 17:40Speaker 8: you turn into Mic in the fight last eighteen seconds.
- 17:45Speaker 3: And it was back in the old days where man
- 17:47Speaker 3: had to physically run a cable to your house.
- 17:50Speaker 8: Yeah, and you've done all.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Yeah, there was an actual connection to the connection feet.
- 17:55Speaker 8: And while you ran up to get the tartar sauce.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yes to go with the shrimp that you would put
- 18:01Speaker 3: out on your little display.
- 18:02Speaker 8: The fight with.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Everybody went and you thought it was a good hit,
- 18:07Speaker 3: and you came back and Mike was going but I
- 18:09Speaker 3: just needed him to know and like, wait a minute.
- 18:13Speaker 15: There's a there's a Geico commercial a few years ago
- 18:17Speaker 15: where they talk about like how fast he can save
- 18:19Speaker 15: on cars and turns and everything, like it's as fast
- 18:21Speaker 15: as this Mike Tyson fight is the one where he
- 18:23Speaker 15: fought Marvis Fraser, which was thirty seconds, literally thirty seconds,
- 18:28Speaker 15: So that's how fast those fights could be.
- 18:31Speaker 8: And it was like watching this race and it's like
- 18:33Speaker 8: only nine participants of them, four of them are actually legit.
- 18:40Speaker 8: The other five is going to be in the back
- 18:42Speaker 8: the whole time. They're not going to ever make a move.
- 18:45Speaker 8: It's like, why are y'all even racing? He got feil
- 18:48Speaker 8: out the field? Excuse me? You got to fill out
- 18:50Speaker 8: the field. What I'm saying, it's like me talking about
- 18:52Speaker 8: challenging Tyreek Hill to one hundred.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Well, and see that's what I'm not even in the race.
- 18:58Speaker 3: The people, the people at this I raced, but I'm
- 19:01Speaker 3: in the race, and I'm just imagining that the people
- 19:05Speaker 3: who breed horses and train them would tell you that
- 19:09Speaker 3: for that fleeting whatever it is, thirty seconds, it's lifetime
- 19:14Speaker 3: of dedication and expertise and all of that. Like those
- 19:17Speaker 3: four or five horses in the back at least made
- 19:20Speaker 3: the field. Like in the world of all of these
- 19:23Speaker 3: horses that are running, these horses make It's like you
- 19:27Speaker 3: know the guys that sit in the barbershop and go,
- 19:29Speaker 3: man I could take uh, Jeff Tigue and but you know,
- 19:34Speaker 3: if somebody's watching some horses watching, I could beat mannerable. Gentlemen,
- 19:40Speaker 3: you know what's and that's why.
- 19:42Speaker 8: A journalism is who won correct journalism? He was the favorite,
- 19:47Speaker 8: six to five favorite to win it. And I came
- 19:50Speaker 8: to ask because I didn't even want to google. I
- 19:52Speaker 8: want to see it as a panel, like when is
- 19:58Speaker 8: the prelim to give creed to what you're saying? Like
- 20:03Speaker 8: when you go to even qualify for this race? Yeah,
- 20:06Speaker 8: when you go to a track meet. Right, there's different
- 20:08Speaker 8: events and you could go on to day that they're
- 20:10Speaker 8: trying to qualify.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Yes, yes, time trials, Olympic trials, national, so they're just
- 20:17Speaker 3: going by the times. Listen sports jock. That is a
- 20:21Speaker 3: great question because now I believe that the winner of
- 20:24Speaker 3: the Kentucky Derby wasn't able to compete sovereignty. Sovereignty was
- 20:29Speaker 3: and why why he had hamstring? What was wrong with sovereignty?
- 20:33Speaker 3: He had a mysterious virus.
- 20:36Speaker 8: To take the drug testy.
- 20:38Speaker 3: But we all are, aren't we aren't we all? Have
- 20:41Speaker 3: we all been a little nervous about the drug test?
- 20:43Speaker 3: A right? They were like drug test, they are somebody
- 20:48Speaker 3: losing a job today. We've been there. Yeah, come on, man,
- 20:54Speaker 3: a trunk? Oh boy?
- 20:58Speaker 8: What what in corporate? What is the drug person? Meet you. Oh,
- 21:01Speaker 8: they don't you go meet them. You have to go
- 21:04Speaker 8: in the building.
- 21:05Speaker 3: You have no, no, no, you have to go to
- 21:07Speaker 3: a that's a separate Yeah, it's a whole separate facility.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Oh okay.
- 21:11Speaker 8: In my years, they just catch you when you come
- 21:15Speaker 8: in the door right right. In the military, they catch
- 21:18Speaker 8: you because like before practice or like at your house,
- 21:21Speaker 8: well they have the random the one that is random. Yeah,
- 21:26Speaker 8: they just catch you right in the morning. They're they're
- 21:29Speaker 8: there at five thirty a m. And four steps in
- 21:33Speaker 8: the door and they go, hey, hey, hey, let me
- 21:35Speaker 8: have let you real quick. They do it in the
- 21:37Speaker 8: military too. No, no, no, no. The funny part be he
- 21:42Speaker 8: big Kenny, huh, big Kenny, huh. Yeah, I got you
- 21:45Speaker 8: on my list, and then I got your random drug
- 21:51Speaker 8: test list. You want to do that before or after
- 21:56Speaker 8: you lift waits.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I'm a steady a little bit. First, okay, come see
- 21:59Speaker 3: me now.
- 22:00Speaker 8: And then you get the part is you get down
- 22:03Speaker 8: there and it's like, I'm gonna need some photo ID.
- 22:06Speaker 16: You You just stopped me. You just stopped me. You
- 22:11Speaker 16: just stop being always said he can't come here. I
- 22:14Speaker 16: know you said, let me see your I D how
- 22:16Speaker 16: you know it was me. But that's how I random.
- 22:20Speaker 16: I always wanted corporate. So corporate. You don't even go
- 22:22Speaker 16: to the Coke Cola building.
- 22:24Speaker 3: No, no, co Cola, send you an email or they
- 22:28Speaker 3: send you a text. Well, now I'm sure that's random.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Now they you know, it used to be you'd be
- 22:33Speaker 3: at home and you'd get a phone call and they say,
- 22:35Speaker 3: you got like thirty six hours to go take this
- 22:39Speaker 3: drug test. That's a lot of prep time. Ah, but
- 22:42Speaker 3: it's only thirty six hours. And if you have anything, yeah,
- 22:47Speaker 3: but but trust me, thirty six hours enough time to
- 22:50Speaker 3: work them. There.
- 22:51Speaker 8: We'll be back with from what I heard after this.
- 23:08Speaker 9: Don't Go Away or of the Sports Josh Show with
- 23:11Speaker 9: Wayne Dan videos.
- 23:12Speaker 8: Dumbing up next.
- 23:14Speaker 17: Uh oh brah, that's buzzed.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah, he's starting with the woots.
- 23:20Speaker 18: And now a speech.
- 23:22Speaker 6: I just want to say that friendship is about heart,
- 23:25Speaker 6: heart and brain.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Who's with me?
- 23:28Speaker 19: Good thing is he knows when he's buzzed, and my
- 23:30Speaker 19: brain is saying, when it's time to go home, somebody
- 23:33Speaker 19: call me a ride.
- 23:34Speaker 15: Love that guy, me too, know your buzzed warning signs,
- 23:38Speaker 15: call for a ride when it's time to go home.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Buzz driving is drunk driving.
- 23:41Speaker 20: A message FROMITZA and the AD Council Lena Bloom for
- 23:45Speaker 20: the Bail Project.
- 23:46Speaker 21: Imagine you're stuck in a jail cell and you can't
- 23:49Speaker 21: afford Bell, and someone offers you a way out. Just
- 23:52Speaker 21: plead guilty and you can go home and kiss your
- 23:55Speaker 21: kids good night.
- 23:56Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 23:57Speaker 21: What thousands have you? Plead guilty whether you are or not.
- 24:02Speaker 21: Cash Bell makes poverty a crime. That's why the Bell

- 25:25Speaker 1: In the red Zone, Welcome back to this who I'm show.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I'm this more shock wing gandy command you. Greg.
- 26:03Speaker 8: You don't know this about me, but I'm kind of
- 26:06Speaker 8: I'm kind of like Usher when it comes to the
- 26:09Speaker 8: chair dancing.
- 26:10Speaker 3: A little bit like us, kind of a little bit.
- 26:14Speaker 8: If you watch us your dance and then you catch
- 26:16Speaker 8: me sometimes from his chair, from my chair, you get
- 26:20Speaker 8: us confused.
- 26:20Speaker 3: From his chair, you see him in his chair from
- 26:22Speaker 3: the scythe and ship. You got it, You got it.
- 26:29Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 26:31Speaker 8: The whole thing right there, right there, it look kind
- 26:33Speaker 8: of like a lot if you saw it, if you
- 26:36Speaker 8: saw it. Yeah, just you have to see my chair dancing.
- 26:40Speaker 8: Is it's up there, you'd have to catch it. I'll
- 26:43Speaker 8: take you where. One thing before journalism. Win in the
- 26:48Speaker 8: Preakness sixty five you have to bet a lot of
- 26:51Speaker 8: money to win when it's sixty five, right, Yeah, that's odds.
- 26:57Speaker 8: I've never been a big how to do odds. My bets.
- 27:01Speaker 8: Whatever I do is more straight up. So I bet
- 27:03Speaker 8: you Auburn beat Alabama for fifty dollars, right, and something
- 27:07Speaker 8: like that. I don't have a point on your points.
- 27:10Speaker 8: I just make straight up right bets. That's why it's
- 27:14Speaker 8: never for a lot of money. It's just almost like
- 27:16Speaker 8: we called a gentleman's bet. Yeah, yeah, straight, I bet
- 27:20Speaker 8: he can't. I bet he could ten dollars, all right.
- 27:24Speaker 8: So but when it's six to five, I know I
- 27:26Speaker 8: was when I tuned in, they were giving the odds
- 27:28Speaker 8: because they were walking the horses right around to the
- 27:33Speaker 8: start gate, and they said sixty five, And I was thinking, man,
- 27:36Speaker 8: how much how much money you have to kind of
- 27:38Speaker 8: bet to make money on those odds? Like if you
- 27:41Speaker 8: don't you don't have one hundred grand going and putting
- 27:44Speaker 8: just two hundred dollars on sixty five.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Get you two hundred and thirty seven dollars. But what
- 27:50Speaker 3: I'm saying, if you left you in it for the profit,
- 27:52Speaker 3: that's just so there's ten twelve percent profit. You feel
- 27:56Speaker 3: me if you if you're just trying to if you're
- 27:58Speaker 3: just about the numbers and the uptick. But it seems
- 28:02Speaker 3: like a lot of work working. It was one hundred
- 28:04Speaker 3: dollars just a part, bro, so you didn't have to
- 28:06Speaker 3: bring that part into that's the that's what we call
- 28:09Speaker 3: overhead experience.
- 28:10Speaker 15: Okay, So I'm remember like that. If there was a
- 28:12Speaker 15: percentage thing. So if you bet six dollars and you win,
- 28:17Speaker 15: you win, you're six dollars plus five dollars, so you're
- 28:23Speaker 15: not even. It's not doubling up. So if you if
- 28:26Speaker 15: you bet six dollars and it's six to five and
- 28:28Speaker 15: you win, you get eleven dollars.
- 28:31Speaker 8: So I bet one hundred dollars, I would have gotten
- 28:38Speaker 8: how I bet one hundred dollars, like.
- 28:41Speaker 3: One hundred and eleven dollars or so I got.
- 28:46Speaker 8: One hundred and eleven dollars, one hundred and five dollars
- 28:53Speaker 8: one oh five, right, and.
- 28:59Speaker 3: Then nobody, nobody can do man, we we we we're
- 29:04Speaker 3: gonna die on what did that little game show where
- 29:07Speaker 3: they have us all answer?
- 29:09Speaker 8: I mean, we want one hundred and five dollars, right,
- 29:12Speaker 8: I thought if I got that right or wrong?
- 29:13Speaker 3: I thought, yeah, that because it's only six to one,
- 29:18Speaker 3: it's six to sixty five.
- 29:20Speaker 15: Okay, So yeah, okay, so if you bet one hundred
- 29:22Speaker 15: dollars you would win one hundred and twenty weight that's
- 29:29Speaker 15: not right. It said two. Well if you if you
- 29:31Speaker 15: bet one hundred and twenty dollars, you win two hundred
- 29:34Speaker 15: and twenty dollars.
- 29:36Speaker 3: So the more you bet, the more. Yeah, that's why,
- 29:39Speaker 3: and that's why it's more to get.
- 29:41Speaker 8: And that's why I knew that in sixty five odds
- 29:43Speaker 8: to make any money, I would have to better put
- 29:46Speaker 8: a lot of money on.
- 29:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it still seem like a lot of work for
- 29:52Speaker 3: very little return. But I think, well, when it comes
- 29:55Speaker 3: to gambling in that three well.
- 29:58Speaker 8: That's why you take the loan. Sh you hope that
- 30:02Speaker 8: the one to one hundred win right now, how it
- 30:06Speaker 8: were you're.
- 30:07Speaker 3: Trying to Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, one hundred to one
- 30:10Speaker 3: hundred to one odds. Yeah, I'm putting two hundred million
- 30:12Speaker 3: dollars on that, but that. But but when you put
- 30:15Speaker 3: a lot of money on the hundred to one odds,
- 30:17Speaker 3: that's when the three letter guys get involved, because everybody like, oh,
- 30:20Speaker 3: somebody knows somebody ain't no, ain't no person gonna make
- 30:27Speaker 3: this bet.
- 30:29Speaker 8: We talked about the briefings that happened on Saturday, also
- 30:33Speaker 8: the return of the Great One, Caitlin Clark, the Indiana
- 30:38Speaker 8: Fever taking on the Chicago Sky. I did catch some
- 30:43Speaker 8: of this game. A lot of you got to stopped
- 30:46Speaker 8: drinking the kool aids. It was just it wasn't even
- 30:50Speaker 8: a flagrant foul. It was just a foul that angel
- 30:55Speaker 8: reaes fail on. We have to in the media. And
- 31:00Speaker 8: this is the thing that WNBA now wants to go
- 31:02Speaker 8: in and they want to probe hate. Well, you pushed
- 31:05Speaker 8: hate in front of your audience. You created something and
- 31:10Speaker 8: said it was a rivalry. You went back forty years
- 31:13Speaker 8: and used the old Magic Johnson Larry Bird scenario and
- 31:19Speaker 8: you brought it to the future. Stop acting like that's
- 31:23Speaker 8: not what you did. And then you want to probe
- 31:27Speaker 8: how people will speak, Well, we already live in an
- 31:30Speaker 8: excitable loud think you can say anything to players at
- 31:35Speaker 8: any moment time, but then to throw your hands up
- 31:39Speaker 8: like you aren't creating a beef since college, you keep
- 31:44Speaker 8: probing this like these.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Ay, it was great whitehap Caitlyn Clark goes against the
- 31:49Speaker 3: BUYU Barbie that thing and your reef turn up and
- 31:55Speaker 3: see who has all the smoke. They'll catch these hands
- 32:00Speaker 3: tonight on ABC, girl.
- 32:04Speaker 8: And that's the market. You wait a minute, and then
- 32:10Speaker 8: it's like a minute, Hey, hey, why are they so aggressive?
- 32:14Speaker 3: You know they were saying this.
- 32:15Speaker 8: This word and that word in the that's what you
- 32:17Speaker 8: sold the reasons that you just have said here, and
- 32:21Speaker 8: some people might be over there in the offices, because
- 32:24Speaker 8: remember the magic Bird thing was seventy eight, seventy nine
- 32:27Speaker 8: right in there eighty, so you would be forty five
- 32:30Speaker 8: years removed, so you could actually have people working in
- 32:33Speaker 8: the marketing department who was not alive to see that
- 32:37Speaker 8: that did breed a white black Yes, riff, Yes that's
- 32:43Speaker 8: been suppressed, its painted.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Boston ain't not been racist, since Boston has not been racist.
- 32:52Speaker 8: Bird Up until the end, Boston was supposed to have
- 32:55Speaker 8: been a city that helped the country turned the curve, the.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Revolution of all all of that. Instead wilt Chamberlain read
- 33:03Speaker 3: our back was the first person. I think.
- 33:07Speaker 8: Russell African coach all of that, player coach all of that,
- 33:13Speaker 8: and they were groundbreaking and civil rights because they played
- 33:16Speaker 8: up the national title game with magic and Bird. But
- 33:21Speaker 8: at least they accepted that I started this fire the
- 33:25Speaker 8: w n b A and the media of the day
- 33:26Speaker 8: is acting like, man, I believe.
- 33:29Speaker 3: Y'all, look is crazy. What's all this? That did that
- 33:33Speaker 3: lady scream? Hey white girl, that's crazy. That's crazy. You
- 33:38Speaker 3: know we've got we've got uh g w H stands
- 33:44Speaker 3: for Great White Hope. But we got those jerseys up
- 33:48Speaker 3: for sale in the in the shop.
- 33:50Speaker 8: But if you watch the game, it is. And I
- 33:52Speaker 8: tried to give Angelies some one. I think maybe the
- 33:56Speaker 8: last show we were on, I was trying to give
- 33:57Speaker 8: her some advice about what it was that you're facing
- 34:02Speaker 8: her and her mom was talking and I said, well,
- 34:04Speaker 8: at some point it just reads as jealousy. Yeah, And
- 34:09Speaker 8: I watch you even in this game. I watch you
- 34:11Speaker 8: in the game, sit on the bench. When you're on
- 34:13Speaker 8: the bench and Caitlyn's on the court, I watch how
- 34:16Speaker 8: you watch her. You watch her with so much envy
- 34:20Speaker 8: and jealousy and it's eating at you, It really is.
- 34:28Speaker 8: It's gonna make it could spend your career because you're
- 34:33Speaker 8: too concerned about her. Oh man, instead of getting your
- 34:37Speaker 8: team to win. Have you you so paralyzed that you
- 34:42Speaker 8: now are You're not winning, You're just y'all are playing
- 34:47Speaker 8: in the game. But at some point, Greg, you have
- 34:54Speaker 8: to admit that this person is just good. Like you
- 34:57Speaker 8: can't just keep sitting over there.
- 34:59Speaker 3: Like, oh no, there's just overrated.
- 35:00Speaker 8: Now, Now, how many threes I got to hit for
- 35:03Speaker 8: you to decide that that I earned my line? Now
- 35:11Speaker 8: if I missed one and I'm not as great as
- 35:13Speaker 8: I said? Okay, I did.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Did you ever play with a teammate who was obsessed
- 35:20Speaker 3: that way with another player in them? And how did it?
- 35:26Speaker 3: Did it ever come to some sort of head? Would look? Man,
- 35:29Speaker 3: you got to get them people off your mind or
- 35:32Speaker 3: or something like that. How to go?
- 35:33Speaker 8: Remember now, I didn't play yes in college. I played
- 35:36Speaker 8: with a lot of guys in the pros. You know
- 35:39Speaker 8: he's a boy, But I would say, Amos zerr Away,
- 35:44Speaker 8: running back out of West Virginia, came to Pittsburgh and
- 35:51Speaker 8: he would see Jerome Bettis and kind of measured him like,
- 35:58Speaker 8: what's the old saying? I got John Blaze right, I
- 36:02Speaker 8: don't know racking, I don't know why y'all all on
- 36:04Speaker 8: Jerome Batnett the bus.
- 36:06Speaker 3: I got that right, I gotta I got that right.
- 36:10Speaker 3: It's not a whole bus, it's a passenger vein.
- 36:13Speaker 8: Yeah, but I got that. It's a lot of people.
- 36:15Speaker 8: Can y'all keep y'all keep putting them in there in
- 36:18Speaker 8: front of me? But I got that. I'm saying no,
- 36:22Speaker 8: but if you just but then when we put you
- 36:24Speaker 8: in there, it lasts like two or three plays, but
- 36:29Speaker 8: then it starts to fade out. It's like, yeah, man,
- 36:32Speaker 8: I do see what you say?
- 36:33Speaker 3: You do got.
- 36:37Speaker 8: Yeah, you got you got.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Two and three? It was you see this boy out here? Yeah? Yeah?
- 36:46Speaker 3: And then seven minutes, uh, where the bus at? Everybody
- 36:51Speaker 3: waiting on the bus, everybody looking up the street and
- 36:54Speaker 3: checking they watch I thought the bus was coming.
- 36:56Speaker 8: And that's the part of it. Can you continue to
- 36:59Speaker 8: do it? Gotta be consistent, Gotta be consistent, and what
- 37:04Speaker 8: you're not you are equally as talent. But can you
- 37:07Speaker 8: be as consistent? It's what you gotta figure out. But
- 37:11Speaker 8: we'll be back and remember Todd Gurley with the kid
- 37:17Speaker 8: to win the tray Mason. Remember you said he had
- 37:20Speaker 8: he had the girley. He did not, you know. Let
- 37:24Speaker 8: this man come in and frighten him. We'll be back
- 37:27Speaker 8: for more to sports Auction next time. We saw him
- 37:30Speaker 8: on some four wheelers jumping some lakes or something tearing
- 37:34Speaker 8: up some parks, or an episode of Jackass or something.
- 37:41Speaker 3: In the style. It's hard to breathe.
- 37:43Speaker 23: The only time I stopped is when somebody dropping. Then
- 37:46Speaker 23: spring him to the front is my rob the oxygen
- 37:49Speaker 23: to wave your hand when you're ready, I'll send you
- 37:51Speaker 23: what you your favorite Dad.
- 37:52Speaker 3: But let the rhyme continue and so on, and I'm
- 37:55Speaker 3: gonna go on.
- 37:57Speaker 24: Don't go away.

- 40:36Speaker 8: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm in the
- 40:38Speaker 8: Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. They replaying just so happened what
- 40:42Speaker 8: we were just talking about on the ESPN uh where
- 40:46Speaker 8: you can see Leah Boston making sure she protected Caitlyn
- 40:50Speaker 8: Clark right there, letting them, letting the injuries know that's
- 40:55Speaker 8: not about to happen right there. So whatever you had
- 40:57Speaker 8: in your mind come and she that's not about to
- 40:59Speaker 8: go on. And that's one thing I try to tell
- 41:03Speaker 8: Atlanta fans. That's where my guy, Trey Young got to
- 41:06Speaker 8: get his teammates. For Young getting an incident like that,
- 41:10Speaker 8: none of his teammates come over there to put no
- 41:13Speaker 8: elbow on nobody.
- 41:15Speaker 3: I've seen it once. I just saw once once once
- 41:19Speaker 3: six years that that was the first year when he
- 41:23Speaker 3: hung out a little bit.
- 41:25Speaker 15: And the guy who came up to take up for
- 41:28Speaker 15: Trey in on the team.
- 41:29Speaker 3: You know, I'm saying that was the year Trey hung
- 41:32Speaker 3: out that one time. Now the team called him like,
- 41:35Speaker 3: hey man, the team is hanging out tonight, and he like,
- 41:37Speaker 3: who are all gonna be over there? Like team goofy.
- 41:41Speaker 3: It's all of us, just the ones that play. Let
- 41:45Speaker 3: me check.
- 41:46Speaker 8: But for you Atlanta Dream fans, Caitlyn Clark coming to
- 41:49Speaker 8: town this week on Thursday, they will be over at
- 41:53Speaker 8: State Farm. I know y'all hate it. Our team doesn't
- 41:56Speaker 8: want racist. That's race says on our team. That race says.
- 42:00Speaker 8: They leave their venue, which is over by the airport,
- 42:04Speaker 8: to come play at State Farm where the Hawks play.
- 42:07Speaker 8: They don't really like they feel that.
- 42:09Speaker 3: They play the Gateway Arena that they usually play it.
- 42:12Speaker 8: That's it. Yeah, that's what they usually Yeah. Yeah, And
- 42:15Speaker 8: that's rare for Kaitlyn Clark games to.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Just State Farmed where the Hawks play, because that's that's right.
- 42:21Speaker 15: I mean they were at State Farm before, but but
- 42:25Speaker 15: it looks.
- 42:25Speaker 8: But it just Gateway has like four thousand seats.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Right when they were at State Farm before, it looked
- 42:31Speaker 3: like more like State Ranch for like a whole just
- 42:35Speaker 3: like like like State large yard. But now when Caitlyn comes,
- 42:41Speaker 3: they have to move it to the biggest venue that
- 42:44Speaker 3: they have for basketball in the city. So that speaks
- 42:47Speaker 3: for itself. I don't think there's any height that needs
- 42:50Speaker 3: to go. What else am I fufolded to say? The
- 42:53Speaker 3: box office is talking. Nobody said anything. The box office
- 42:56Speaker 3: is speaking, and that that that's the trust me. I'm
- 42:59Speaker 3: in the loos off his business. When the tickets all
- 43:02Speaker 3: sold out, I ain't gotta say nothing. I get here.
- 43:04Speaker 8: It's ten thousand more fans.
- 43:05Speaker 3: I don't care if you like me, you ain't got
- 43:07Speaker 3: to even the people that don't like you on some
- 43:09Speaker 3: hey leave them alone.
- 43:13Speaker 8: Well that's the Caitlin Clark, Angel Rees and Angel Reese
- 43:16Speaker 8: is a great player in herself she just is in
- 43:20Speaker 8: a day and time where that position really doesn't garner
- 43:26Speaker 8: a lot of attention. That kind of what I would
- 43:29Speaker 8: call like that Charles Oakley. Yea solid, big physical you know,
- 43:35Speaker 8: she's always under the basket.
- 43:37Speaker 3: She gets a lot of rebounds.
- 43:38Speaker 8: She had a good game the other day, like twelve
- 43:40Speaker 8: point seventeen rebounds. Just the old lady is doing more.
- 43:45Speaker 8: Steph Curry, Steph Curry.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's what's selling now. Like you said, that
- 43:50Speaker 3: style of play.
- 43:52Speaker 15: Garner gets gets the attention the the blue it.
- 43:56Speaker 8: Is Kobe Versauile, Kobe versus Tim Duncan and see and
- 44:00Speaker 8: then on the comparison when they were in their same
- 44:02Speaker 8: area era, you would think that the Big Fundamental was
- 44:09Speaker 8: just afterthought if Kobe in the building, right, But at
- 44:14Speaker 8: the end of the day, the Fundamental got the trophy, he.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Got all of the MVP and got the Hall of Fame.
- 44:20Speaker 3: He's got all of that. He ain't said nothing.
- 44:24Speaker 8: It was team effort. He was the last man to
- 44:26Speaker 8: shoot a bank shot. Like you don't see guys bank
- 44:29Speaker 8: shots in no more from you know.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Who does that well? And see that's that's the thing
- 44:34Speaker 3: about it, Caitlyn, that yeah, yeah, he's playing, he got
- 44:39Speaker 3: his arms out, he's shuffling his feet from side to side.
- 44:42Speaker 3: When he played defense, it looks like the basket. Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 3: it looked like the Yeah, it looks like a peach
- 44:50Speaker 3: basket is up on a tree trunk and everybody's just
- 44:55Speaker 3: out playing the old school basketball. But the new game,
- 45:00Speaker 3: the three pointer, all of that. It's fascinating in the
- 45:03Speaker 3: men's game, but to see a female doing that is
- 45:06Speaker 3: the unicorn. We hadn't seen this level of current basketball
- 45:13Speaker 3: skill and excitement coming from the women's side. And again,
- 45:19Speaker 3: a sold out anytime I got seven thousand tickets to
- 45:24Speaker 3: sell you and I got to go print ten thousand
- 45:28Speaker 3: extra tickets. Come on, man, that says, you know, I
- 45:34Speaker 3: got to print more extra tickets than I had to
- 45:37Speaker 3: sell Originally, I only had seven thousand to sale. I
- 45:40Speaker 3: gotta go print ten thousand extra tickets. Give her her flowers,
- 45:45Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Caitlin Clark sales ticket.
- 45:48Speaker 8: One thing I meant to ask or wanted to ask
- 45:51Speaker 8: on this show because it's happened so frequently now and
- 45:54Speaker 8: it could have happened in the past. Maybe I just
- 45:56Speaker 8: was not reading the actual We were not as connected
- 45:59Speaker 8: to know. But the uptick and we went down this
- 46:03Speaker 8: road before. But Kenny Comanchi, Greg the uptick and fast
- 46:08Speaker 8: food restaurant crime, what do you think is it's behind
- 46:14Speaker 8: that define crime?
- 46:15Speaker 3: You mean fighting in the restaurant.
- 46:18Speaker 8: Manager in one of the employees got all of it,
- 46:21Speaker 8: whether it's the restaurant employee is fighting employee.
- 46:25Speaker 3: The employee is shooting somebody out of the window of
- 46:28Speaker 3: the drive through.
- 46:29Speaker 8: In this case, the manager that Popeyes up in North
- 46:31Speaker 8: Carolina got upset with the employee burnt the biscuits.
- 46:36Speaker 3: So.
- 46:38Speaker 8: They stepped outside and the employee shot the manager. And
- 46:45Speaker 8: it's like what you hear stories like this all the time.
- 46:48Speaker 8: The person is coming from in, the people that should
- 46:51Speaker 8: be in coming out, the people out coming in. You
- 46:53Speaker 8: got the robberies, all the stuff that goes in the
- 46:57Speaker 8: drive through. Why is it seemed like the you can
- 47:00Speaker 8: find you a fast food capital crime not two weeks
- 47:08Speaker 8: and two weeks of probation, but now two years, five years,
- 47:11Speaker 8: eight years in jail.
- 47:13Speaker 3: This is and this is something that I believe that
- 47:16Speaker 3: because of staffing shortage, institutions that require human labor are
- 47:30Speaker 3: willing to take a chance. Now there used to be
- 47:34Speaker 3: avenues i e. Street crimes and stuff. These people could
- 47:39Speaker 3: go in all that stuff run by robots. Now, so
- 47:42Speaker 3: I got to go get me a job. I'm serious.
- 47:45Speaker 3: The dude that, the dude that used to be on
- 47:47Speaker 3: the corner had to go get a job because they
- 47:50Speaker 3: opened a dispensary in his city and now he trying
- 47:54Speaker 3: to serve chicken and his personality don't go with the
- 47:57Speaker 3: dude that used to be doing something else, and now
- 48:02Speaker 3: he had to get a job, and they made him
- 48:04Speaker 3: a manager because well he was.
- 48:06Speaker 8: That's why I'm shooting you over some biscuits that neither
- 48:09Speaker 8: one of us owned.
- 48:10Speaker 3: I'm saying that nobody's well adjusted anymore. It made sense
- 48:14Speaker 3: in the streets, it made sense you burnt that whole batch.
- 48:17Speaker 8: Well, I know that's two different crimes, me burning these
- 48:20Speaker 8: biscuits and me shooting you.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's what you said. It is what you
- 48:23Speaker 3: said after I burned the biscuits that made me shoot you.
- 48:25Speaker 3: I wouldn't shooting you over the biscuits. I was shooting
- 48:27Speaker 3: you over the disrespect which're notn't supposed to have a
- 48:29Speaker 3: gun in the papa. See, I didn't. I didn't look
- 48:34Speaker 3: at the handbook pay they.

- 50:47Speaker 3: And now back to the sports giant, Wayne Gamby.
- 50:53Speaker 4: Center cord On sports News gossip, blah blah blah blah.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Welcome back to this one shock show up. This w
- 51:27Speaker 3: shock Wayne kN d.
- 51:29Speaker 8: I know early in the show we talked about the
- 51:31Speaker 8: Indiana taking on the Knicks.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Uh.
- 51:36Speaker 8: And yes, let's be honest, Big Kenny commands you, Greg,
- 51:40Speaker 8: outside of Halliburton and Myles Turner, they don't know anybody
- 51:48Speaker 8: else that plays for the Indiana Pacers.
- 51:51Speaker 3: That's not true, sir, That's not true outside Halliburton. And
- 51:56Speaker 3: because of my day job, I know a lot of
- 51:58Speaker 3: the roster. There's there's the other dude that play with them.
- 52:03Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 52:05Speaker 31: You?
- 52:06Speaker 8: I called him the other dude. Yeah, but I'm saying
- 52:09Speaker 8: I know him though. He's my boy that don't stand
- 52:12Speaker 8: up in court though I didn't know.
- 52:14Speaker 3: He was going to. There's the other dude. There's homeboy
- 52:18Speaker 3: in them, and then there's tighte Man. Okay, so you
- 52:23Speaker 3: don't know, and then there's Halliburton and Turner. That's to
- 52:25Speaker 3: start five. That's to start five right there.
- 52:29Speaker 8: Uh. And that's just how for Indiana. A lot of
- 52:34Speaker 8: people are taking off guard because of what Cleveland did.
- 52:37Speaker 8: Let's be honest, Cleveland, Boston, the star power and what
- 52:42Speaker 8: they Donovan Mitchell for Cleveland, they assembled a team that
- 52:47Speaker 8: you thought was going to go far. Same thing with
- 52:49Speaker 8: Boston injuries kind of took Milwaukee out of the mix.
- 52:54Speaker 8: There was no Jolabe Paul George thing to watch this year. Uh,
- 53:00Speaker 8: Knicks was in that top three or four teams that
- 53:03Speaker 8: you saw. Don't really can say that you would have
- 53:06Speaker 8: bet this is would have been a bet that you
- 53:07Speaker 8: would have made some money if you had taken the
- 53:10Speaker 8: Pacers to be this far in the playoffs. And now
- 53:13Speaker 8: they travel to New York to take on the Knicks
- 53:17Speaker 8: and on the other side, And as one of our
- 53:20Speaker 8: lawyer listeners, just let us understand about the young kids.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Now.
- 53:29Speaker 8: The thing about this is.
- 53:30Speaker 3: As Quentin Tarves said, young fellas have taken over the
- 53:33Speaker 3: NBA playoffs.
- 53:34Speaker 8: Yeah, and when you look at it, it is true.
- 53:36Speaker 8: It's just that none of them want to be the
- 53:38Speaker 8: face of it. Ah.
- 53:41Speaker 3: Now do you think that's why? So do you think
- 53:44Speaker 3: that's why Halliburton and Turner are playing with type man,
- 53:49Speaker 3: oh Boyd and the other dude? Do you think that's
- 53:52Speaker 3: why we don't know that? Because nobody's vying for that Hi,
- 53:58Speaker 3: I'm and if you want to do good in school,
- 54:01Speaker 3: nobody wants to be that guy anymore. I had a
- 54:03Speaker 3: theory about it.
- 54:06Speaker 15: The reason why like someone like Anthony Edwards that we
- 54:09Speaker 15: know of, is like actively avoiding being considered the face
- 54:15Speaker 15: of the NBA. I think he looked at how Lebron
- 54:20Speaker 15: was treated before he won a championship and how Jordan
- 54:24Speaker 15: was treated before he won a championship, as how they
- 54:27Speaker 15: were the face of the league, and then there was
- 54:29Speaker 15: just more scrutiny every time they didn't win a championship,
- 54:33Speaker 15: and until they actually won one, they were considered the
- 54:39Speaker 15: face league. Even before then they were faced like the
- 54:42Speaker 15: maybe perhaps a lot of unfair scrutiny before that moment.
- 54:45Speaker 15: I trying to avoid it now until I actually do
- 54:49Speaker 15: something that garners that kind of that kind of recognition.
- 54:54Speaker 3: I and that makes sense. It's just that I had
- 54:57Speaker 3: blamed it more on the fact that he and if
- 55:00Speaker 3: I don't win a championship, even if I'm not in
- 55:02Speaker 3: the playoffs, once I declare myself as the face of
- 55:05Speaker 3: the NBA, then I'm inviting the scrutiny. I can't be myself.
- 55:10Speaker 3: I can't watch certain movies, I can't like certain music,
- 55:13Speaker 3: I can't retweet things. I can't say that I thought
- 55:19Speaker 3: she was wrong that kind of stuff. Jordan, regardless of
- 55:25Speaker 3: him not having played in two decades or more, still
- 55:28Speaker 3: gets criticized for not giving enough millions of dollars. You
- 55:33Speaker 3: see what I'm saying, And that face of the when
- 55:37Speaker 3: all of the can't breathe stuff came around, Lebron was
- 55:42Speaker 3: thrust when Colin Kaepernick's situation. Lebron played basketball, but everybody
- 55:48Speaker 3: ran to him as the face of the NBA to
- 55:51Speaker 3: ask him, what do you think is going on in
- 55:53Speaker 3: the NFL and how should the NBA fight against it? Like,
- 55:56Speaker 3: what do you mean? We're a whole nother league. And
- 55:58Speaker 3: I think that's what though. Dudes are running from that,
- 56:01Speaker 3: I ain't got nothing to do with this. Well, they
- 56:04Speaker 3: are all basically Generation Z when you look at him,
- 56:10Speaker 3: and that whole generation is I ain't got nothing.
- 56:12Speaker 8: To do, and that whole generation has been raised to
- 56:15Speaker 8: be selfish and un I guess not uninvolved and involved
- 56:27Speaker 8: in It's not on my timeline. It doesn't interest me.
- 56:31Speaker 8: I think the ant man's to shay. If anything, the
- 56:35Speaker 8: NBA is going to have to move because Lebron had
- 56:38Speaker 8: no say so, they just had decided and annoyed it.
- 56:45Speaker 8: He's still the only the only player. He's the only players.
- 56:49Speaker 8: As he came in the league that winning was demanded.
- 56:55Speaker 8: Everybody else just got to be casually fall into wins.
- 57:01Speaker 3: He was.
- 57:03Speaker 8: They're still not satisfied that he only has four like
- 57:05Speaker 8: he was. Is under something that we really haven't seen
- 57:09Speaker 8: in sports.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Twenty years into his career, he's still demanded to put
- 57:16Speaker 3: up ricky numbers.
- 57:18Speaker 29: It is.
- 57:18Speaker 3: It is kind of crazy how they how they demand
- 57:21Speaker 3: Lebron just keep doing.
- 57:22Speaker 8: Because it was arguing last week about you know, he
- 57:25Speaker 8: was looking kind of tired in the third quarter.
- 57:27Speaker 3: Oh I was forty. Listen, listen, I'm in a group chat.
- 57:35Speaker 3: I'm in a group chat. And the level of Lebron bashing,
- 57:39Speaker 3: like sending out pictures of him oling in wheelchairs and
- 57:43Speaker 3: Lebron is trash and his time is up. I can't
- 57:47Speaker 3: believe he didn't hit. But and I'm like, this dude,
- 57:51Speaker 3: when he went into the league, I had black hair.
- 57:55Speaker 3: You see what I'm saying. And come on, man, this
- 57:58Speaker 3: dude's been playing twenty seasons and he'll still drop thirty
- 58:01Speaker 3: seven on you and people still go Lebron couldn't.
- 58:05Speaker 8: Do And the thing that shows you for him to
- 58:08Speaker 8: be part of his true basketball IQ and what I
- 58:12Speaker 8: like about him and from what he said. They lost
- 58:15Speaker 8: the series because they ran into a bad matchup. Yeah,
- 58:20Speaker 8: that happens. Staves make fights. That's always been a common
- 58:24Speaker 8: They ran into the team they probably didn't want to
- 58:28Speaker 8: run into because of the personnel. Certain personnel fits to
- 58:34Speaker 8: defend you better. You don't really have your two strong suits.
- 58:40Speaker 8: They have covered you know, they had someone to counter
- 58:46Speaker 8: your strength. Sometimes you try. It's not that you always
- 58:50Speaker 8: have the better team. You just have the better peap
- 58:54Speaker 8: personnel for this team. That's how it really matches up
- 58:59Speaker 8: a lot of time. So you're you You good at
- 59:02Speaker 8: running the ball and they great at stopping the run. Right, Okay,
- 59:06Speaker 8: it's gonna make for an interesting game. But what's going somebody?
- 59:11Speaker 3: This dude's a south paw and you you just weak
- 59:14Speaker 3: on your left side. Yeah.

- 59:25Speaker 23: It's better when the sounds because I like to move
- 59:28Speaker 23: the crowd.
- 59:31Speaker 3: Move the crowd, don't go away.
- 59:36Speaker 9: Born of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 59:38Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 59:40Speaker 32: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 59:43Speaker 32: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 59:46Speaker 32: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 59:49Speaker 32: pride gets in the way and they may want to help,
- 59:52Speaker 32: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 59:56Speaker 32: with the family supporting line, and just with my mind frame,
- 1:00:00Speaker 32: I was able to turn a negative into a positive.
- 1:00:03Speaker 32: I knew I needed more tools on my toolbox to
- 1:00:06Speaker 32: take care of these little girls that had just lost
- 1:00:09Speaker 32: their mother. It's time for me to be that father
- 1:00:12Speaker 32: that I knew I could be. I think just being
- 1:00:14Speaker 32: that good role model as well. That model's good behavior.
- 1:00:18Speaker 31: In front of them, going to work every day, coming
- 1:00:21Speaker 31: home and being able to put on that smile. The
- 1:00:23Speaker 31: biggest reward about being a dad is sitting back and
- 1:00:27Speaker 31: watching your kids be happy.
- 1:00:30Speaker 10: Never stop being a dad.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: That's dedication. Find out more on fatherhood.
- 1:00:34Speaker 32: Dot gov, brought to you by the US Department of
- 1:00:37Speaker 32: Health and Human Services and the AD Council.
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: life insurance.
- 1:00:51Speaker 33: When I was twenty five, Me and my wife were
- 1:00:53Speaker 33: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:00:55Speaker 33: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:00:58Speaker 11: Will you be leaving benefit or bills?
- 1:01:01Speaker 33: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:01:03Speaker 33: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:01:05Speaker 33: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:01:07Speaker 33: the insurance informant.
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:01:13Speaker 19: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:01:16Speaker 19: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: whether you earn a little or a lot, All you
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: foundation of security. Because without you, your family will have
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: two options, benefits or bills? Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: Log on today, benefits or bills?
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Dot com?
- 1:01:36Speaker 10: That's benefits or bills dot com?
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: Enos enough?
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: I don't have any why share and we hold the
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: world ransom for when you need Excuse me while I

- 1:02:26Speaker 8: out there listening Lane. We are a week away from
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: Memorial Day weekend. The month of Maya's moving pretty fast.
- 1:02:36Speaker 8: We are about two weeks now here from uh, the
- 1:02:39Speaker 8: NBA Finals. Before we get there, the Pacers and the
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Knicks will do battles starting this week. Also the Minnesota
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: Timberwolves ant Man taking on Shake Gilchris on that side,
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: I think the NBA, you know, as long as the
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: Knicks make it, uh, it's a safe bet. Yeah, you
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: can put the Knicks versus either Shay or ant Man
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: and still get.
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: You start off.
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: If it end up being the Pacers, no knock against
- 1:03:05Speaker 8: the Pacers, you do end up one of those situations
- 1:03:08Speaker 8: where we will report that ratings are down because you'll
- 1:03:13Speaker 8: be dealing with two small market themes and one of
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: them that wins. More like a team and with less
- 1:03:24Speaker 8: superstars don't really have those superstar they don't even have
- 1:03:26Speaker 8: those those superstar kind of play right players where they
- 1:03:32Speaker 8: can make the commercial basketball.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: So we will see how this working.
- 1:03:37Speaker 8: And just one note because I know so when you
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: get on your chat line, Big Kenny, let them know
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: that Lebron was still eleventh in scoring in this season.
- 1:03:51Speaker 8: He came to score twenty five point four points a
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: game at nine rebounds and six assists. He was eleventh
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: in scoring. Guys that are behind him Steph Curry, Jalen
- 1:04:04Speaker 8: Brown from Old Murray, Karl, Anthony Towns, Jimmy Butler there right,
- 1:04:09Speaker 8: James Harden, all those names.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: He's still outscored. But but but but he se he
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: went fishing though he ain't. Ain't in the playoffs no more, Broh.
- 1:04:19Speaker 8: The average more minutes a game than Jannie Donovan, Mitchell
- 1:04:25Speaker 8: Bancharo of the Magic, more minutes than Jayleen Bronson, the
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: same minutes as Jason Tatum, more minutes than Anthony Broh.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: Why y'all just be loving that dude, Brouh.
- 1:04:38Speaker 24: He ain't even Jordan, No, he ain't even Jordan Bruh.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Y'all just be giving that dude the past he let
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: his whole league down in his twentieth season. Oh that's
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: even worse. He got more experience and he let him down.
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: I don't know why y'all be loving that dude like that. Bruh,
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: I just ugy little, you know that. I don't know
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: where the whole draft all came. If he worked, if
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: he worked for fat X, he have retire two years ago.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: If he worked what's the name of the stadium he
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: plays in his Staples Center, Crypto Crypto dot com, If
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: he was an executive at Crypto dot com, they have
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: forced him out two years ago. But he's in his
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: twenty second season in the NBA, and everybody say he
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: ain't he ain't got it no more.
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: Well, he was leventh scored and left the score five
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: points again.
- 1:05:33Speaker 15: Hey, but.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: They will find him.
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: But PGA Championship Scottie Scheffer, I guess that arrest kind
- 1:05:44Speaker 8: of woke him up.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: He got Street Craig, he got he had to do.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: He got the streets on his back. Scott, he had
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: to do it for the thug. Scott got them prison test.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: He got the prison test. He walking up to the
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: he walking up to the tee, looking up at people
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: like twin. I'm finished showing twin. They like twin, go
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: up and now he look what it did for him.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: That was a hard eight hours, eight hours. Brother had
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: eighteen toes though I did it ten toes. I hain't
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: no no wine for his time. Hey, hey, I ain't
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: testified though they ain't put me on the stand, ain't no.
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I ain't snitch on nobody in ten toe. I didn't
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: gun him ten ten toes, I ain't go gun him.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: I ain't gun I ain't go gunner. Now that's all
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: I'm saying. Ten toes mine, I just came out with
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: his little tear drop tattooed to his face. Scotty, he
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: with it.
- 1:06:46Speaker 17: Uh.
- 1:06:46Speaker 8: It has been really shoting since they're arresting, arrested him for. Uh,
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: we still don't know what what.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: Was it he is supposed to done.
- 1:06:56Speaker 9: Hate.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: They just hate because he plased, you know, because they
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: because I'm a player, that's what counts something like to
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: something like that, something like that. I'm a revolutionary player.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: And they just see me and they can't stand it.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: So they put me in hand comfort. They can't hold me.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: He's hired. What the actual crime was?
- 1:07:16Speaker 8: It was somebody getting to the guard gate too early
- 1:07:19Speaker 8: and running into a cop with his car. Man, you
- 1:07:21Speaker 8: better move, Booty. Gott Shaffler is one again.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Winning erases all of that, doesn't Yeah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 8: Yes, I'm saying Winning erases all of that. I'm looking
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: for him in an episode of Power next to Lamar.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: Jackson, or at least on General Hospital next to step
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: I need to see some id here it is.
- 1:07:43Speaker 15: Did you see the episode I saw? I saw the
- 1:07:46Speaker 15: clip I'm talking about. Yes, I saw the clip with
- 1:07:50Speaker 15: the Mark Jackson.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: No, he's in.
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: The Power Book three.
- 1:07:55Speaker 15: Yeah, the one the prequel, basically the one where fifty
- 1:07:59Speaker 15: character Cane and raised and Cane and that one. Yeah,
- 1:08:02Speaker 15: what's Lamar? I haven't seen it is? He's saying, I
- 1:08:05Speaker 15: need to see somebody d He didn't. He didn't have
- 1:08:09Speaker 15: to go to the wardrobe people. That's just how he can.
- 1:08:11Speaker 15: That's just how he like a diamond chain on what's
- 1:08:17Speaker 15: a twin? Yeah, And everybody was like, wow, makeup did
- 1:08:21Speaker 15: a great job.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: And then somebody came up like Lamar, you go to
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: make up in twenty minutes and the oops, my bad,
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: that's now now we got lost.
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: I'm expecting it to be a great scene now, now
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: this is the thing. Think about it like, it's not
- 1:08:43Speaker 8: like he has to get in character. Lamar wants you
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: to come here at like you from the hood of Baltimore.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: And I think about this, think about this, what we
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: what you need?
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: We've seen well you put up in the Bugatti, what
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: you got on the real stuff?
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: All we got that you got. Everybody gonna know that
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: our stuff. These dudes look like they work for you.
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: Camera ain't that hot, but it's spelled with a jay now,
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: but he is. I got to try to catch episode well.
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: And we've seen athletes do other stuff, paint and rap
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: and and do science and medicine. What if he's a
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: great actor. Oh no, I don't know.
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: I don't knock any anyone's for where entertainment is going. Yes,
- 1:09:40Speaker 8: And I don't know Lamar Jackson as far as what
- 1:09:42Speaker 8: he else he wanted to do. We've always been champion
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: on this show that these avenues that these people go in,
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: you can't just automatically. You can criticize them once you
- 1:09:53Speaker 8: find out they may not be good, right, right, but
- 1:09:57Speaker 8: you can't criticize them as though this is not something
- 1:10:01Speaker 8: they wanted to do. When they do music or comedy.
- 1:10:05Speaker 8: How are you going to tell this guy? He didn't
- 1:10:07Speaker 8: think he was the funny man at school until somebody
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: threw him an alley and he caught it from you know,
- 1:10:15Speaker 8: six feet above the rim and slammed it backwards. With
- 1:10:18Speaker 8: plenty of guys, And I mean every team, every every
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: team I've ever was on, especially in the pros, had
- 1:10:24Speaker 8: some guy that was truly a comedian. Yeah, that would
- 1:10:30Speaker 8: sometimes Rocky Knight, because a lot of times Roocky Knight,
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: there's someone in that team that helps put that on.
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: They have a comical mind. It might not be enough
- 1:10:40Speaker 8: to be a pro, right, but they get comedy. He
- 1:10:45Speaker 8: keep the locker room.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: I was in the barbershop, New barbershop last week and
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: the barber says to me, when I walk in there
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: watching a friend of mine on TV, we get talking
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: about it. You're a comedian man, you need to meet.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: And everybody in the barbershop was like, yeah, man, he
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: not here today, but when he comes in, everybody laughs
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: and everybody knows somebody like that. And so maybe Lamar
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: was just you know, in the locker room, people like
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: man Lamar traumatic did you see him through Shakespeare? Like
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: I ain't never really paid attention to Shakespeare.
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: But the way he did it especially, I think that
- 1:11:25Speaker 8: the biggest thing now, just like with something like eminem
- 1:11:29Speaker 8: in that age and how well he did when they
- 1:11:32Speaker 8: can cast you into you your type cast and that's
- 1:11:37Speaker 8: what I'm saying, we're kind of making light of it,
- 1:11:40Speaker 8: but Lamar Jackson kind of has never left that. However
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: he saw himself in that way. Yeah, that's It's just
- 1:11:47Speaker 8: like if you told me you was going to take
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: pac Man Jones and he was going to be on
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: what's the one with meet and what's that one being?
- 1:11:59Speaker 8: Being meth Okay, okay, he the gang leader over on
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: the west side. I'm thinking, man, we might need to
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: get some oscars going.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: He's going to play the game leading on the West side.
- 1:12:11Speaker 8: What you're doing around here?
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Folk? How about that that world? Maybe I'm saying, are
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: they just really trying to get you on film to
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: prosecute you? Because this look like really what you actually
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: be doing? Yeah? That you are?
- 1:12:28Speaker 27: Now?
- 1:12:28Speaker 20: No?
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: Is that pac Man? And he can literally go on
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: there as is that pac Man? Yeah? People, pac Man
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: on the pac Man? Pac Man?
- 1:12:39Speaker 8: You back in the running the man? Don't you don't
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: want to get caught over on the West Side with
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: Pa pac Man Man. Why they called him pac man Man? Hey,
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: you don't want to So I know someone Thomas Jones.
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: I don't know if he's still acting, but he does.
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: He was running back for I think for Your Jets
- 1:12:58Speaker 8: there for one or two years. He played about maybe
- 1:13:01Speaker 8: seven eight years. He was running back. His brother also.
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: Played Julius Jones.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: Julius Joe were they both Were they both running backs?
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:13:09Speaker 15: Yeah, they're both running back. So, but he was Tom Jones.
- 1:13:13Speaker 15: He's on a show right now. He's a good actor,
- 1:13:17Speaker 15: and he was on he was on he was on
- 1:13:19Speaker 15: p Valley. Okay, but he was on something I never
- 1:13:22Speaker 15: saw pe Valley. But he was on something else too though.
- 1:13:24Speaker 15: He's being married. But he's on a show called Johnson.
- 1:13:29Speaker 15: He has a like a main role on that. Yeah,
- 1:13:31Speaker 15: he did a good job when I saw him. And
- 1:13:34Speaker 15: in some movie. It was a movie played dirty. Is
- 1:13:39Speaker 15: some of his what I'm looking in life after.
- 1:13:42Speaker 8: But we'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right
- 1:13:44Speaker 8: after this.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: Jesus Heart and let Me.
- 1:14:00Speaker 9: John Boy, Wayne Word of The Sports Jock Show with

- 1:15:36Speaker 5: Most people out here think that taking care of one
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: another is important, and most people would step up for
- 1:15:42Speaker 5: a neighbor going through a tough time. Most people around

- 1:16:31Speaker 8: Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you. I do see
- 1:16:36Speaker 8: a picture of Scottie Shuffler in his orange mug shot,
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: though he was there long enough to get the orange shirt.
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:43Speaker 8: Yeah, so that's booking, right, That's that's that's that would
- 1:16:46Speaker 8: consider booking. When they give you the orange change of cold, you.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: You've been processed. You've been yeah, you've been put in that.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: Once they change your clothes, you've been. Like I'm saying,
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: everything else is just holding and you still got your
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: clothes on. You might still be wearing your watch. But
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: once they give you some them shoes right there, you
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: in here, in here. So he really thugged. It might
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: be part of the area nation for all we know.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying. How long was he in there?
- 1:17:21Speaker 8: Greg is saying about four hour? Oh yeah, he joined something.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: He was able to make it back for his tea time.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: He joined the game.
- 1:17:28Speaker 9: Yo.
- 1:17:28Speaker 3: You can't be in jail four hours and survive without
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: joining a game.
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: Man, You got him in a game TSD and everything.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I'm saying. Once you put the orange suit on, you
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: gotta that happen. You got in a bunch of minutes.
- 1:17:41Speaker 8: You got a bunch of a couple of birthdays here yesterday, today,
- 1:17:47Speaker 8: and tomorrow. Travis Hunter, the knewest Jaguar. Uh keep your
- 1:17:53Speaker 8: eye on Travis. Now, if I give you what you want,
- 1:17:56Speaker 8: don't complain. And I'm not talking about Travis as much
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: as them about you fans. You want to test the
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: theory of can somebody be a full time player in
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: the in FL on both sides? Don't go to some
- 1:18:10Speaker 8: conspiracy theory in week twelve about how the NFL and
- 1:18:15Speaker 8: the plantation and you know all these storylines. See this
- 1:18:20Speaker 8: is what Kaepernick was talking about, and all of a sudden,
- 1:18:23Speaker 8: forget when you was talking about how you want it
- 1:18:27Speaker 8: double duty. But now you got to miss the next
- 1:18:31Speaker 8: nine games because you're back messed up. It's hard to
- 1:18:36Speaker 8: tackle Derrick Henry and then make a play on Derwin James.
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: It's hard to do that. I'm just trying to tell you,
- 1:18:48Speaker 8: just trying to tell you.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: And this and that story now and just think you
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: might have to tackle conspiracy is conspiracy. Ain't want him
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: to play long in one series of downs. You might
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: have to tackle Derrick Henry twice and then and then
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: get out there and you're still feeling that second tackle
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: on dere Henry, thinking to yourself, like if I score
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: on Durham, chance I gotta get back out against Derrick Henry.
- 1:19:26Speaker 8: I might drop this first one, and they seem to
- 1:19:28Speaker 8: be very committed to the run. They can come to
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: my side. Run go I'm gonna drop this first. And
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: that's the thing that people that really don't get different
- 1:19:40Speaker 8: in college. The NFL will make a point to expose you. Yes,
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: they will try to wear you down. It's a mental thing.
- 1:19:48Speaker 8: They will set it to run towards you. They will
- 1:19:51Speaker 8: set the blocking scheme to make the weakest person they
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: can have to make the tackle. We're gonna block everybody
- 1:19:59Speaker 8: except Den. So you're gonna look and wonder why the
- 1:20:02Speaker 8: receiver is breaking in. His job is to leave the corner,
- 1:20:07Speaker 8: to have to make the prove that he can make
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: the tackle or block the corner and make the safety proved.
- 1:20:15Speaker 8: And then I saw you over there. You thought I
- 1:20:17Speaker 8: didn't catch you. I saw you. You put your hands on you.
- 1:20:20Speaker 8: Let's run this go route. I saw you bent over.
- 1:20:23Speaker 8: You caught yourself real quick, but I saw you with
- 1:20:26Speaker 8: them Yeah, and then you stood.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Up, and here we come again.
- 1:20:30Speaker 8: I'm just saying I will might as well max protect
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: and just see if this go route open. Let's see, Hey,
- 1:20:39Speaker 8: let's do it three times. How was that bad. That
- 1:20:42Speaker 8: was that a bad play? We up seventeen three.
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: Let's try it again. Let's see if this works.
- 1:20:47Speaker 8: And then Greg coming here, send me an article about
- 1:20:49Speaker 8: how the conspiracy to hold Travis Hunter down.
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: This is why, this is why they took your dour
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: in the fifth round so he could just they just
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: keep put him out there again.

- 1:24:23Speaker 34: We tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 1:24:29Speaker 34: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 1:24:32Speaker 34: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us
- 1:24:36Speaker 34: and we need to talk to someone about what we're
- 1:24:38Speaker 34: really going through. So we're going to reach out because

- 1:25:25Speaker 6: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:25:32Speaker 6: life insurance.
- 1:25:33Speaker 33: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were

- 1:25:39Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:25:40Speaker 11: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:25:43Speaker 33: When I was forty, with a kid in college and

- 1:25:58Speaker 19: leave my family with bills or benefits.

- 1:26:29Speaker 4: Player's Lounge. I've been given full access to the player's
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: I no joke.
- 1:26:48Speaker 20: I used to let the Mike smoke, now slamon. Want
- 1:26:51Speaker 20: to goun and make sure us broke when I'm going
- 1:26:53Speaker 20: on longest song.
- 1:26:53Speaker 23: Because I want to let nobody press up and mess
- 1:26:56Speaker 23: up to say not say. I like to stand in
- 1:26:58Speaker 23: a cloud A lots of people want the day, But
- 1:27:00Speaker 23: think about a thing your hun't just stand. I'm just
- 1:27:02Speaker 23: an addict addicted to music.
- 1:27:04Speaker 20: Maybe it's a habit. I gotta use it, even if
- 1:27:07Speaker 20: it's jazz.
- 1:27:07Speaker 8: Over this Shock show, I'm this w Shock wing Gandy.
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: Sometimes I get lost in that Eric B and Rock
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: Kim music. That's one of my favorite albums of all
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: all times, all times when I was in high school.
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: Right there, Eric B and Rock Kim, we have reached
- 1:27:27Speaker 8: h the Antonio Brown segment of the show ab the
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: Hall of Famer to be.
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: Now they might try to do.
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: The t O and hold him like punishment, but don't
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: forget it was about a five year window and that's
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: still a uniform that Big Kenny's Jets couldn't cover it
- 1:27:56Speaker 8: things like he was.
- 1:27:58Speaker 3: Nobody could. I'm just blaming on the Jets. Don't be
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: like that. Don't just throw it down like the Jets
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: was just out there letting him run. Willy Nelly, everybody
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: was struggling the cop. That's my point.
- 1:28:13Speaker 8: Av Since the Stiller day, he's just really has shown
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: us another side of himself. He's only still about thirty six,
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: thirty seven years old. Uh, it seems like forever ago
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: that something meaningful was happening on the football field. He
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: went down to Tampa, did a couple of nice things,
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: but as you know, his last game for the NFL
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: center around him deciding to leave the game a little early.
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: If you remember, he took his pats off and decided
- 1:28:48Speaker 8: that he no longer wanted to do this. And since
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: then different things from rap to fights to scandals. He
- 1:28:57Speaker 8: was dating some rapper or a movie star. I can't remember,
- 1:29:03Speaker 8: but I mean, as a Kisha cole.
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: One, we've all taken our shirts off at work and
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: walked out. We've all done that. I'm saying, I ain't
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: judging the man.
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: You did that at your job before, and now I
- 1:29:18Speaker 8: took your shirt off him like I'm out outside of
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: an event in my AMMI this past weekend Aiden Ross event,
- 1:29:28Speaker 8: a scuffle that we do know Antonio because there's video
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: of him and a scuffle with a gentleman that he
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: is saying was trying to rob him, which would have
- 1:29:41Speaker 8: been interesting. Typically robbery happens a little darker area. I mean,
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: this is like two steps away from the arena. Are
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: we all the diamonds?
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: I'm saying, are we stuck in the old platform of robbery,
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: you know where we used to try and get away
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: with the crime and wait until you weren't in possession
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: of your property like breaking and entering. But now you
- 1:30:06Speaker 3: know people just run up and on site rob you.
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: And at some.
- 1:30:12Speaker 8: Point, Greg, if I'm reading a story right, there was
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: a gun shot. Now this Anthony Antonio Brown who was
- 1:30:22Speaker 8: in some picture seen hole and looked like something that
- 1:30:24Speaker 8: looked like a gun. But have they identified him to
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: be the person shooting the warning shots Because all this
- 1:30:36Speaker 8: happened I think Friday night, it wasn't determined if.
- 1:30:42Speaker 15: If there were if they were gunshots. Well from the
- 1:30:46Speaker 15: areas they have a gun shot detection system, oh okay,
- 1:30:51Speaker 15: and there were no injuries or anything like that. But
- 1:30:56Speaker 15: so they don't know if he was, if he fired
- 1:31:01Speaker 15: any shots, if he was the one who fired it,
- 1:31:04Speaker 15: if it was actually unshots.
- 1:31:05Speaker 8: Now, the thing with Antonio at his age and what
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: I get worried about and a lot of people because
- 1:31:10Speaker 8: we've seen this story in different manifestations of different athletes
- 1:31:16Speaker 8: and different sports around is when I look at Antonio Brown,
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: I started getting a little feeling of ex teammate of
- 1:31:22Speaker 8: mine who took his life in prison. Lawrence Phillips. Lawrence
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: Phillips no kind of career compared to AB's, but did
- 1:31:36Speaker 8: have what you know, you can be still just as noted.
- 1:31:40Speaker 8: You have just as much fame without the actual evidence.
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: That's just how our society works now. And Lawrence Phillips
- 1:31:49Speaker 8: was a long time ago. We came to the rams
- 1:31:51Speaker 8: and nineties, maybe six ninety seven, teammate of mine, super
- 1:31:56Speaker 8: uber talented, but once football take away from him, it
- 1:32:01Speaker 8: just became spiral aufter spiral to the point he ended
- 1:32:04Speaker 8: up finding themselves in prison thirty years trying to hit
- 1:32:09Speaker 8: some kids with his car I think was the charge.
- 1:32:12Speaker 8: Tempted murder, and then while incarcerated, he took his cellmates life,
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: and then at some point he took his own life.
- 1:32:22Speaker 8: Antonio shows me those traits of self destruction, of continuing
- 1:32:26Speaker 8: to vibe, because we all have to me, we all
- 1:32:30Speaker 8: have an energy signature we give off right, and a
- 1:32:35Speaker 8: lot of times we're trying to fiure out why we
- 1:32:36Speaker 8: attract that, because that's the signature you're giving off right. Okay,
- 1:32:40Speaker 8: I get that. He seems to always registering something that
- 1:32:46Speaker 8: would have just been normal for me. You and Big Kenny,
- 1:32:49Speaker 8: we decided to go to the fight. We left going home.
- 1:32:52Speaker 8: Everybody we ended up at the Wilfe House and went home. Yeah,
- 1:32:56Speaker 8: but if you changed all the names and put Antonio
- 1:32:59Speaker 8: brown name in it, it became some kind of.
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: We ended up in an after our spot. Nobody ever
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: made it to the waffle house. We went straight to
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: the after our spot.
- 1:33:08Speaker 8: And chaos broke out. Yeah, so, ab I get worried,
- 1:33:14Speaker 8: and I said this before, like to me, at a
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: certain point, we make jokes and then it starts becoming where, oh,
- 1:33:23Speaker 8: almost similar to the basketball player Alonte West, you.
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: Know where we thought he was.
- 1:33:32Speaker 8: Different out there riding neck and on the motorcycle because
- 1:33:35Speaker 8: we've all dyomical.
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: Yeah, we've all rode neck and on it.
- 1:33:39Speaker 8: No, no, I haven't even rode a motorcycle, let alone
- 1:33:46Speaker 8: and neked on it.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: We're talking about Delonte. That what I'm saying.
- 1:33:51Speaker 8: I believe this is about Delonte West, sir. But I'm
- 1:33:53Speaker 8: saying I can remember telling a couple of jokes. But
- 1:33:56Speaker 8: then after a minute you started seeing, Oh that wasn't yeah,
- 1:34:00Speaker 8: that wasn't funny. Oh, this was this is something that's real.
- 1:34:04Speaker 8: Sometimes you're just thinking people messing around, But then when
- 1:34:07Speaker 8: it happens enough, it becomes the norm. So I really
- 1:34:10Speaker 8: when I see these stories about ab just long story short,
- 1:34:13Speaker 8: I get worried and hope somebody intervenes now, because he's
- 1:34:19Speaker 8: you know, he's on that kind of like I said
- 1:34:21Speaker 8: Lawrence Phillips, that that Tupac. Now, now, let I remember
- 1:34:26Speaker 8: Tupac that kind of that don't don't want to die
- 1:34:31Speaker 8: kind of mind. But I'm ana, I'm gonna tease it. Well,
- 1:34:34Speaker 8: I'm gonna poke the bearer of it. I'm gonna pint
- 1:34:36Speaker 8: myself where.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: Or as Tupac put it in song, I see death
- 1:34:42Speaker 3: around the corner. Now, this is the thing I asked
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: the mental health professional about this. What is the responsibility
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: of a person that sees someone about to crash and burn,
- 1:35:00Speaker 3: not because of accident or neglect. These people pushing all
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: the crash and burn button, They flipping all the crash
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: and burn switches, and everybody on the plane has said hey, hey,
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: don't do that, and they look you dead in your
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: eye and went, uh whatever, and continue to push buttons.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: Do you grab your parachute and jump or do you
- 1:35:22Speaker 3: continue to try and keep this plane from going down?
- 1:35:25Speaker 3: Because the reason I asked the question is for me,
- 1:35:30Speaker 3: I'm grabbing my parachute the first button you push, because
- 1:35:34Speaker 3: the established reality is as a person who flies planes,
- 1:35:37Speaker 3: you know better than that. So this is all deliberate
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: and willful and intentional. You want to crash, I don't,
- 1:35:46Speaker 3: So I'm not gonna crash with you. Now, I would
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: hope that you wouldn't, so I said, hey, don't crash,
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: and you kept pushing buttons. So I'm jumping. Should I
- 1:35:54Speaker 3: feel guilty for that? Because there are probably some people
- 1:35:56Speaker 3: around AB who done had to come on AB. You
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: took your shirt off at work? You know, for me
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: it makes sense, but not for everybody. Nobody really does that,
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: takes their shirt off at work? Who does that? AB?
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: Tighten up man and he just keep doing stuff. Now
- 1:36:13Speaker 3: he outside of an arena and there's gun charge. They
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: b you thirty six years old? What you doing? And
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: he's not listening. He keeps giving off that energy and
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: attracting it. How do you help someone who doesn't want
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: to be helped?
- 1:36:26Speaker 8: Well, I think that there becomes a point where you
- 1:36:28Speaker 8: can find that the person don't want to be helped.
- 1:36:30Speaker 8: I think sometimes I'm reaching to those people, not just
- 1:36:34Speaker 8: the ones who have spoken on it, the people that
- 1:36:37Speaker 8: might be actually enabling him going along with it. Okay,
- 1:36:42Speaker 8: you know, once I see that you're a certain personality
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: to help you, I might just the only reason you
- 1:36:50Speaker 8: go I stopped being your sidekick. Yeah, so now no,
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: I'm good. I'm good on that. Let's going to have that. Nah,
- 1:36:58Speaker 8: I'm going to wapaw right, so we can still hang together,
- 1:37:01Speaker 8: but I'm not going to that with you.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: That kind of thing.
- 1:37:04Speaker 8: So I'm not saying that, you know, don't crash and
- 1:37:07Speaker 8: burn with him, but if you're there to be someone
- 1:37:11Speaker 8: that can help him as far as removing yourself, yeah,
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: from the support of certain things. And sometimes that's not verbally,
- 1:37:23Speaker 8: it's just you'll find that that person can't go to
- 1:37:27Speaker 8: where he wants to go because nobody will go with him. Yeah,
- 1:37:32Speaker 8: you know, and it's on him if he goes by hisself.
- 1:37:34Speaker 8: A lot most humans don't like to go places by themselves,
- 1:37:40Speaker 8: you know, So I don't I'm not saying that these
- 1:37:42Speaker 8: full gamuts haven't run through ab I just know sometimes
- 1:37:47Speaker 8: just the simple fact that you know you can't find
- 1:37:50Speaker 8: someone to go along with it deters you as well, right,
- 1:37:56Speaker 8: whatever that is. So drinking, yeah, smoking, whatever.
- 1:38:02Speaker 3: And I can remember an experience where I was at
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: a party and someone came up to me and was like, hey, man,
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: I got that you want to And I was like, oh, no,
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: I'm good. And they looked at me like you stop
- 1:38:15Speaker 3: messing around. And it was like a light bulb, like wow,
- 1:38:20Speaker 3: like you don't mess around, Like bruh, I need to
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: change my life because if you have always, I was
- 1:38:27Speaker 3: always counting on you to be with it, and now you,
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: the one person that I was counting on, ain't with
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: it no more. I think I'm gonna have to do
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: something different too. Now I see it clear, Yeah, I
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: see it clear.
- 1:38:38Speaker 8: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this,
- 1:38:51Speaker 8: Yeah don't go.

- 1:39:20Speaker 7: with illicted drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 1:39:24Speaker 7: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 1:39:28Speaker 7: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.

- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: Shock Wayne Gan Deep Pete Rose.
- 1:42:09Speaker 8: Something that's happened since the last time we was on
- 1:42:12Speaker 8: their guys Pete Rose Shoeless Show have been allowed finally
- 1:42:19Speaker 8: and it went right. I mean, I'm not clairvoyant. I'm
- 1:42:25Speaker 8: just able to count the two. And if you couldn't
- 1:42:30Speaker 8: see that, Major League Baseball it's always gonna do this.
- 1:42:38Speaker 8: They just were not gonna let Pete Rose see the
- 1:42:43Speaker 8: promised land, right. They're gonna let his kids because his
- 1:42:47Speaker 8: family they still get whatever contract they right up to
- 1:42:51Speaker 8: for that stuff, so it's not like they're starving his family.
- 1:42:55Speaker 8: Whatever contract, I don't know what it's gonna be, but
- 1:42:59Speaker 8: they still would have the rights to his name. But
- 1:43:03Speaker 8: Pete Rolle kind of like Moses.
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: He lost that bet.
- 1:43:10Speaker 8: Moses didn't get to go to Drumbers landed No, and
- 1:43:12Speaker 8: Pete Pete probably like, who is Moses? Right?
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: But I thought I thought it just like took him
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: longer than it was supposed to. They Pete probably told
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: somebody it took Moses forty.
- 1:43:26Speaker 8: Years they get there, but they were really just walking
- 1:43:29Speaker 8: in the circle. No Moses didn't get to go. That
- 1:43:33Speaker 8: was the people that he freed. Yeah, yeah, he he
- 1:43:38Speaker 8: just got the didn't hety years.
- 1:43:41Speaker 3: He got, didn't he stand on the mountaintop and see
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: it something like that, he saw it, but he didn't
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: get to go. And Pete probably told somebody, I bet
- 1:43:48Speaker 3: you I get in the Hall of Fame whatever whatever.
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: Watch he didn't. I'm saying though now he said he
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: was gonna be there. I bet you I'll be there,
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: and they was like, I bet you won't. And he
- 1:44:01Speaker 3: lost that one. Yeah, Pete rose uh and not soon
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: Pete passed away. And what was that November December, I
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: think so of last year. They ain't even give it
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: a year.
- 1:44:13Speaker 15: Well they basically rob rob Manfred said it's like, well
- 1:44:19Speaker 15: it was a lifetime band and.
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: His life is over. So and how did how did
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: they phrase it? He can't be a danger to the
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: community or something like that now he's gone. That's how
- 1:44:32Speaker 3: they phrased, like, now he can't be a threat to
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: baseball now that he's no longer living.
- 1:44:37Speaker 8: So well, because it had built up to the point
- 1:44:39Speaker 8: when you if you let him go up there alive.
- 1:44:43Speaker 8: At this point, now remember you can't monitor what he says.
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: That's his speech.
- 1:44:51Speaker 8: That's he's going to put some money on the parley
- 1:44:54Speaker 8: that he says. He can say and go off on
- 1:44:57Speaker 8: who he wants to put. But you might be able
- 1:45:00Speaker 8: to cut off the you might be able to cut
- 1:45:02Speaker 8: off the TV. But when he said, the people that's
- 1:45:06Speaker 8: sitting in them.
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: Stays, I want to thank Baseball and put fifty on
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: the over under on the phillies.
- 1:45:11Speaker 8: What did he just say and start naming names and
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: people that were also in the room with him when
- 1:45:18Speaker 8: he was placing those bets. Is what they didn't want
- 1:45:21Speaker 8: and he never had that opportunity. So the Pete Rose
- 1:45:25Speaker 8: will be all the time. We always knew it that
- 1:45:28Speaker 8: we said, the impact that Pete Rose, the head first slide,
- 1:45:32Speaker 8: the hitting, the championship pedigree.
- 1:45:36Speaker 15: He was, well, what Big King was saying that for
- 1:45:41Speaker 15: Rob Manfred, he said, in my view, once an individual
- 1:45:44Speaker 15: has passed away, the purposes of rule twenty one have
- 1:45:47Speaker 15: been served. Obviously, a person no longer with us can
- 1:45:50Speaker 15: represent a threat to the integrity of the game.
- 1:45:55Speaker 3: Man That sounds so judicial, but that means but for
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: people that don't understand that translate that means the merchandising
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: rights staying. I mean, I mean, look, we can sell
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: this stuff now, and should nobody be mad about it? Yeah?
- 1:46:13Speaker 8: I know what you're upset that we're selling these Rose
- 1:46:15Speaker 8: jerseys playing all kind of color ways.
- 1:46:18Speaker 15: All Cincinnati is Pete Road. They had Pete Rose Knight
- 1:46:22Speaker 15: the day after the announced. It's got some major money.
- 1:46:26Speaker 3: It's this high school baseball team about to have a
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: fund raiser. You see what I'm saying, Hall of Famer
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: Pete Bro. Everybody's about to cash in on Charlie Hustle. Yeah,
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: the Charlie Hustle T shirts, all that go down. I'm
- 1:46:37Speaker 3: gonna get me some free Charlie Hustle T shirts.
- 1:46:40Speaker 8: Yeah, their name on award, they do all kinds of things.
- 1:46:42Speaker 8: Now that he's gone, the Hitting Award can be named
- 1:46:46Speaker 8: the Pete and they lifted the band.
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: Yeah, they they've done all of that. They forget it, Disney.
- 1:46:52Speaker 8: Now we'll be charging twenty nine nine for the streaming
- 1:46:58Speaker 8: service ESPN in per month. That's kind of high, in't it.
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: Wait?
- 1:47:02Speaker 8: Wait?
- 1:47:02Speaker 3: Wait, wait, just for just for esp Yeah, if it's
- 1:47:05Speaker 3: just for that, I mean, because what I'm saying is
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: you can almost a new version of it. Maybe I'm
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: saying that's roughly no, no, I was gonna say, that's
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: roughly the third of us.
- 1:47:17Speaker 8: It's just Disney's new streaming service ESPN tocause twenty nine
- 1:47:20Speaker 8: ninety nine per month by itself myself.
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: But what do you get with that? You get Disney,
- 1:47:26Speaker 3: I guess if you don't get in the bundle, but
- 1:47:28Speaker 3: the bundle is on, I would have I would imagine
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: the bundle. It doesn't come bundled already for twenty nine
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: ninety nine. I don't get Disney and the Mickey Mouse
- 1:47:37Speaker 3: Channel and Goofy and Friends and ESPN one two three,
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: ESPN deport this ESPN d oho.
- 1:47:44Speaker 8: Amen, I gotta pay Charles Barkley some kind of work,
- 1:47:47Speaker 8: ah Bright. He can't between Charles and Troyman. I got
- 1:47:51Speaker 8: a you got a lot of money. I gotta make up.
- 1:47:54Speaker 8: And I guess the Lion King can only go so far.
- 1:47:58Speaker 8: So don't look at you. I who want to check
- 1:48:01Speaker 8: that out?
- 1:48:01Speaker 15: The well this is just esp well just ESPN because
- 1:48:06Speaker 15: ESPN plus that's the apparently this is a separate, a
- 1:48:10Speaker 15: totally separate thing.
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: Because now I have both and on streaming, I can
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: get ESPN plus no problem. But with ESPN some games
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: they say aren't available in my market, and that just
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: means that we haven't paid the extra fee for that game, right,
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: That's just all that means. But it's just it's not
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: available in my market. And I'm saying, I'm trying to
- 1:48:38Speaker 3: watch Toronto. I don't know if anywhere near Toronto, so
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: of course it's not in my market. But yesterday I
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: was able to watch LA and Oregon or something like that,
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: you know what I mean. But it's if you don't
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: pay the fees, some of that stuff they won't add on.
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: It's thirty dollars month every single month for what. Now
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: what am I gonna get with just regular ESPN? Can
- 1:49:06Speaker 3: I get that with my cable package?
- 1:49:07Speaker 28: Though?
- 1:49:08Speaker 3: Like my streaming whatever? What is it?
- 1:49:10Speaker 22: Now?
- 1:49:10Speaker 8: So some people don't have cable at all, like comand
- 1:49:13Speaker 8: you he doesn't have cable. Everything he does is streaming, correct,
- 1:49:17Speaker 8: ye now see sports Jock.
- 1:49:19Speaker 3: My my dear wife is saying that we're gonna go
- 1:49:22Speaker 3: that route, like because the having the cable doesn't make
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: it done. But now that Disney's going up with just that,
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: like I'm saying, now, that's ten percent of the whole
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: bill really for just Disney. Nah, bro, We're gonna keep them.
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: We'll be back more than Sports Shock Show after this.
- 1:49:44Speaker 23: Just stayed dezepted, like this might tempt me to poll
- 1:49:48Speaker 23: show my ring zim a fact old shame mic like
- 1:49:51Speaker 23: I'm also trained by our wings because I'm master this.
- 1:49:55Speaker 9: Don't go awayne Or of the Sports John Show with
- 1:49:58Speaker 9: Wayne Dandy.
- 1:49:59Speaker 6: Yes, coming up, and now let's talk about something exciting
- 1:50:10Speaker 6: life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents
- 1:50:14Speaker 6: a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine
- 1:50:17Speaker 6: percent actually have life insurance.
- 1:50:19Speaker 33: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:50:21Speaker 33: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:50:24Speaker 11: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:50:26Speaker 3: What about you?
- 1:50:27Speaker 10: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:50:29Speaker 33: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:50:31Speaker 33: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:50:33Speaker 33: survived without me. That's when I'm in an appointment with
- 1:50:35Speaker 33: the insurance informant.
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:39Speaker 6: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:50:42Speaker 19: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:50:44Speaker 19: leave my family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy.
- 1:50:47Speaker 6: Whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a
- 1:50:49Speaker 6: little or a lot, All you need is the insurance
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: informant to help you build a foundation of security, because
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.

- 1:53:08Speaker 8: Trying to get Garret Greg a little taste that seat dance.
- 1:53:10Speaker 6: You know, don.
- 1:53:17Speaker 3: In a week. This was both Greg was born. That's
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: why you know. This was back when your parents was
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: just people. They was real. They wasn't parents yet. To
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: see that's the problem. Everybody be looking at their parents
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: like their parents. We used to be people and then
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: y'all come along and we turned into parents. Your folks
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: was cool, Your daddy was smooth. I'm telling you, I'm
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: telling you. Everybody was cool. Then they comes Gregg and
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: we can't smoke in the house no more. Yeah, now
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: we got different rooms, different rum. You can't do that
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: round the baby, How won't you driving like that with
- 1:54:02Speaker 3: the baby in the car.
- 1:54:03Speaker 8: Well, it sounds like what you can't do. Former Utah
- 1:54:07Speaker 8: State basketball player Jared Shaw is you can't smuggle drugs
- 1:54:14Speaker 8: in the Indonesia. Hems like you can't really, So for
- 1:54:19Speaker 8: you that didn't know Big Kenny and them, oh, I know,
- 1:54:25Speaker 8: Indonesia seems to have a no tolerance policy.
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: Just because it's the name of a strained don't mean
- 1:54:33Speaker 3: that it's cool with them people in the country. Now, see,
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: this is the thing. If you're playing on smug sounds
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: iron class and this is the thing. I know this
- 1:54:42Speaker 3: might be a little late in coming for this gentleman,
- 1:54:45Speaker 3: but if you're going to travel internash me and smuggle,
- 1:54:49Speaker 3: learn the rules where you go. Learn what the yeah,
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: see what it is.
- 1:54:56Speaker 8: Jared Jared Shaw thirty four years old, play at Utah State.
- 1:55:00Speaker 8: He was arrested in Jakartar on May seventh after police
- 1:55:05Speaker 8: searched his apartment and found more than a hundred pieces
- 1:55:08Speaker 8: of th HC cannabis candies. They just said the package
- 1:55:13Speaker 8: contained the items was sent from Thailand to his apartment
- 1:55:17Speaker 8: just outside the capitol. This crime, if proven. He was
- 1:55:23Speaker 8: arrested on an accused of smuggling drugs in the Indonesia
- 1:55:28Speaker 8: possible death penalty.
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: Now see and and Thailand edibles. He said, I was
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: there every hundred every hundred feet, so I was thinking,
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: because I ain't ain't that far. See, that's the thing. Indonesia,
- 1:55:50Speaker 3: Thailand like flyery branch and you're thinking, surely some edibles
- 1:55:59Speaker 3: here the same as edibles there, right, and they need
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: people talk. I bought them though, it's not like I
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: stole them, no, but they shipped them in, right, I
- 1:56:07Speaker 3: bought them. Yeah, but that ain't the that ain't the crime.
- 1:56:11Speaker 3: Like we ain't charging you with theft. We charge you
- 1:56:15Speaker 3: with smuggler. And now you're sitting up there on some
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: death penalty. But it's just candy. And they on some
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: DC candy though, just candy. He could have asked Britney
- 1:56:25Speaker 3: grind about this, about these explanations and how they wasn't
- 1:56:29Speaker 3: gonna listen to these people. Oh so y'all, don't y'all
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: don't take excuses because you know Britney trying No, see,
- 1:56:35Speaker 3: it's just oil. She's trying to get scientific. It's not. Actually,
- 1:56:40Speaker 3: it's just candy. It's compressed through them sixteen. I played basketball.
- 1:56:44Speaker 8: It's from my crackingadic nerve in my back.
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: You know you ever played basketball right in the thirties
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: and these people stead he just weighing the stuff up.
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: It is seventeen grounds, which means she's guilty of one
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: hundred and forty through milli grams.
- 1:57:00Speaker 8: That sound like crime. Just the point of the moral
- 1:57:04Speaker 8: of this story is no, the rule of the country.
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: Listen is that no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:57:15Speaker 3: let's stop. Let's stop. That sounds that sounds too broad
- 1:57:18Speaker 3: if you're going out of country. Lead the drugs at home.
- 1:57:21Speaker 3: Just just just no drugs, no drugs out of the country.
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: Let's not get confused on is it a high tariff,
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: is it the low tear physicist a friendly zone. Let's
- 1:57:31Speaker 3: not get any of that. Lead the drugs at home,
- 1:57:34Speaker 3: be sober out the country.
- 1:57:35Speaker 8: Just go sober.
- 1:57:37Speaker 3: Just go sober out of the country. Trust me, go
- 1:57:41Speaker 3: sober out of the country.
- 1:57:42Speaker 8: But it's just a little baggy ah bad idea, because
- 1:57:46Speaker 8: then people start you and see that's true, like we
- 1:57:48Speaker 8: talked about random drug tests off the air.
- 1:57:50Speaker 3: Then people start you coming back into the country or
- 1:57:52Speaker 3: going into their country. It's thirty thousand of us entering
- 1:57:56Speaker 3: and you think everything is cool to they go, excuse me, sir,
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: this your bag.
- 1:58:00Speaker 8: It's just a little dime bag though, So you're saying
- 1:58:04Speaker 8: this is your gag. That's what I heard.
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: You're saying, Yes, this is your bag. You know how
- 1:58:08Speaker 3: much is in it?
- 1:58:09Speaker 8: Y'all sweating on a little din bag?
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: Though? Ah? This this point three two grams of marijuana,
- 1:58:16Speaker 3: Reggie though, right equivalent, This is forty two years in prison.
- 1:58:21Speaker 8: That don't even really get your high though. Yeah, I
- 1:58:23Speaker 8: hope it gets you something. It's gonna get you forty
- 1:58:26Speaker 8: two years effects. Damn, that's illegal. Here I'm over there
- 1:58:31Speaker 8: talking about how you get you in. I'm talking about Yeah,
- 1:58:34Speaker 8: you got almost a life sentence behind this. Dix Swoarden Goods,
- 1:58:38Speaker 8: uh is going to buy foot locker?
- 1:58:41Speaker 3: Wait?
- 1:58:42Speaker 8: End of area? Are they gonna challenge?
- 1:58:44Speaker 25: No?
- 1:58:44Speaker 3: No, no to wait wait now that's not what do
- 1:58:46Speaker 3: they call that? Uh? They did it to a T
- 1:58:49Speaker 3: and T monopoly. Remember when they came in and they
- 1:58:53Speaker 3: broke up at and T because they said that that's
- 1:58:55Speaker 3: too much eliminating the fair competition process. So Dick Sporting Goods,
- 1:59:01Speaker 3: which is a sports.
- 1:59:03Speaker 8: Losing money, so I thought I can buy you are
- 1:59:06Speaker 8: using money.
- 1:59:07Speaker 3: Can you can buy them? But then who becomes my competition?
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: Foot Locker was Dick's. I thought if I absorbed them
- 1:59:15Speaker 3: and let you still be foot Locker. Oh that's what
- 1:59:18Speaker 3: they But that's still now I'm price fixing. Yeah, put
- 1:59:24Speaker 3: all the gas companies out of business the state. See
- 1:59:30Speaker 3: that's what I'm saying. No, but I'm driving all the
- 1:59:32Speaker 3: business to this other because I haven't fixed the price
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: on these Jordan's. Yeah, I'm fixing price. That's we call
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: that capitalism here though I love this country, I'm telling you.
- 1:59:48Speaker 24: Yes.
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: Then I went and bought the crack spot, and now
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: I'm pushing meth and cracked out the crack spot.
- 1:59:54Speaker 8: And now Florida and Utah first two states to ban
- 1:59:59Speaker 8: floride so in the water, no more adding flooride into
- 2:00:03Speaker 8: the water. So you're gonna have to use it in
- 2:00:06Speaker 8: your toothpaste or get it somewhere else for your teeth.
- 2:00:09Speaker 3: And they say it's because flooride is so widely available now, yes,
- 2:00:15Speaker 3: like every toothpaste.
- 2:00:16Speaker 8: Say they added it because it wasn't getting to everybody
- 2:00:19Speaker 8: right back when they started the rule. That's really what
- 2:00:22Speaker 8: the rule is. So now that it's so readiarly available,
- 2:00:27Speaker 8: it's on you. So if you don't drink tooth if
- 2:00:30Speaker 8: you don't use toothpaste, that's your fault. That's your fault,
- 2:00:32Speaker 8: right because you know we ain't putting it in the water,
- 2:00:35Speaker 8: and we are in the ocean.
- 2:00:40Speaker 3: The truth is he will throw your in the ocean.

- 2:02:31Speaker 8: Let the ship be his first tour at You know
- 2:02:35Speaker 8: you need a good old singer back then Sammy David
- 2:02:37Speaker 8: Junior type and one of all back.
- 2:02:41Speaker 3: We interviewed Jack Cheyenne Trussell once on the show and
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: he's the athletic director for the Meridian Athletic School System
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: of the Marini School System, and he touted that man
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: from the beginning, like, hey watch this guy, and now
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: he's the winner, So shout out Marinian Mississippi been hind
- 2:03:00Speaker 3: him from day one. So Jamal Reynolds, you bought the
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: sports jock back after twenty one years.
- 2:03:08Speaker 8: Yeah, two thousand and two was the last time I
- 2:03:10Speaker 8: watched Eric Conti. But Jamal Reynolds did a great job.
- 2:03:14Speaker 8: All the contestants, great year. Some good country music as well.
- 2:03:19Speaker 8: And on the way to the stage, y'all make sure
- 2:03:23Speaker 8: y'all hand Jamal a box of condoms because we got
