- 0:03Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Welcome to another episode of Busting with the Boys. This
- 0:07Speaker 2: episode is episode two nineteen am I correct in saying
- 0:09Speaker 2: that doesn't matter. Yeah, I really, We're so many, we
- 0:13Speaker 2: have worth so many into this three seventy four. Yeah,
- 0:15Speaker 2: episode two thousand and four and sixty eight. Listen Norah
- 0:19Speaker 2: High Vibes podcast. I have to get a quick announcement
- 0:21Speaker 2: out of the way. I'm an unfortunate, unfortunate, unfortunate circumstance
- 0:27Speaker 2: where I have had to file a lawsuit against the
- 0:31Speaker 2: people and entities that are involved with my surgery from
- 0:34Speaker 2: October of twenty twenty. We all know how lawyers work,
- 0:38Speaker 2: we all know how all that stuff is. If this
- 0:40Speaker 2: thing goes to quart or whatever, they could use anything
- 0:42Speaker 2: against me. But I want to take this opportunity on
- 0:44Speaker 2: this podcast to let all of you know what's kind
- 0:47Speaker 2: of going on in my life. Fans that have followed
- 0:50Speaker 2: my career seeing those years before the ACL surgery and
- 0:54Speaker 2: then obviously after the ACL surgery, kind of wondering, you know,
- 0:57Speaker 2: what the hell's happening with Lwan and so Yes, it's
- 1:00Speaker 2: a positive it's a positive podcast, but a lot of
- 1:02Speaker 2: times there's a there's areas for vulnerability, and I really
- 1:05Speaker 2: wanted to make sure that uh, I was able to
- 1:07Speaker 2: share this with you guys, because for the last you know,
- 1:10Speaker 2: since twenty twenty, this has been.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It's sucked, it's been, it's been tough.
- 1:13Speaker 2: But I would love I would love to sit here
- 1:15Speaker 2: and vent and tell you for the next hour and
- 1:17Speaker 2: a half, tough of a situation this has been. But
- 1:19Speaker 2: the reality is I just can't right now. When I can,
- 1:23Speaker 2: I will definitely share more when.
- 1:25Speaker 1: I'm able to.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But like I said, we all know how lawyers work
- 1:29Speaker 2: to With that being said, let's talk about Chevy Sierado.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Do you guys know that we're truck guys through and
- 1:37Speaker 2: through and Chevy Silverado has been a partner with unstoppable
- 1:40Speaker 2: grit and determination. It's been our most valuable truck that
- 1:44Speaker 2: MVT and now the first ever all electric Silverado joins
- 1:48Speaker 2: the franchise.
- 1:49Speaker 1: We got a chance to see these things and experience it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Let me take you something real quick, boys, absolute game changer.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yes, get about the Midgate about them, I'll.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Tell you about all the Midgate dude available. Foreigner mile
- 1:59Speaker 2: range GM estimated on a full charge over ten feet
- 2:03Speaker 2: of length in the bed with the Multiflex tailgate combined
- 2:07Speaker 2: with the Multiflex Midgate. Multiflex Midgate we talked about it
- 2:10Speaker 2: last time. It's that little piece. It's that piece that
- 2:12Speaker 2: people don't only have this piece, it's a thirty piece
- 2:15Speaker 2: that can open up. So if you're in the back,
- 2:17Speaker 2: if you're in the cab of the truck and you
- 2:19Speaker 2: want to get to the back, you want to do
- 2:20Speaker 2: that shimmy or something that you might have been a
- 2:21Speaker 2: red light, you can just shim me back there, dud,
- 2:23Speaker 2: because that's what the Midgate's all about. Large seventeen inch
- 2:26Speaker 2: diagonal display screen. It can tow up to ten thousand
- 2:29Speaker 2: pounds of max towing zero to sixty and under four
- 2:34Speaker 2: point five seconds with wow mode working title up to
- 2:38Speaker 2: an impressive seven hundred and eighty five foot pounds of torque.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Did we get a definition of torque?
- 2:45Speaker 1: We gotta listen to last week's episode.
- 2:48Speaker 3: In the definition for the definition because we don't have
- 2:51Speaker 3: him memorized yet.
- 2:52Speaker 2: We don't have it memorized yet. Head over to Chevy
- 2:54Speaker 2: dot com to learn more. Obviously, boys in the Back
- 2:57Speaker 2: here a handsome as ever, but there's a couple of
- 2:59Speaker 2: new handsome faces. My boy Chris Brown in the blue
- 3:03Speaker 2: hat backwards and his buddy Summers. Correct to my own
- 3:06Speaker 2: Christ's saying, Summers, Chris Summers. Chris Summers, so too. Chris
- 3:10Speaker 2: is double the handsome for the back of the bus.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Absolutely outstanding.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Boys.
- 3:14Speaker 2: How do we feel being here on this bus? There's
- 3:16Speaker 2: a microphone right there. How do we feel on camera too? Yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 2: it's really official. Listen now For those who don't know,
- 3:24Speaker 2: both these guys played hockey. You know how hockey players
- 3:26Speaker 2: do interviews. Very dry, very just get to the point,
- 3:29Speaker 2: not a whole lot of personality. This is not that
- 3:32Speaker 2: that place. I know my boys went out last night.
- 3:34Speaker 2: I had a little bit hair of that dog this morning.
- 3:36Speaker 2: How're we feeling? Felt better? I think, oh no, this
- 3:41Speaker 2: is my first time.
- 3:42Speaker 4: If you guys didn't tell, I've felt better, but happy
- 3:45Speaker 4: to be here. Thank you for the self invite that
- 3:48Speaker 4: I invited myself to the bus. I appreciate that.
- 3:50Speaker 1: You're very welcome. Yeah, no, happy to be here. Yeah.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I haven't seen you in a while though, that's been
- 3:56Speaker 1: we talked about that. Yeah, it's been a minute. When's
- 3:58Speaker 1: last time we did see each other? I hope it
- 4:00Speaker 1: not your wedding?
- 4:01Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I was supposed to
- 4:02Speaker 4: see you at a at a game you were supposed
- 4:04Speaker 4: to play, then you got hurt.
- 4:05Speaker 2: We're not We're not gonna talk about it. We already
- 4:08Speaker 2: talked about that, talk about our high vibes.
- 4:10Speaker 4: No, but yeah, I think that was the last time
- 4:12Speaker 4: I saw you. Was it could have been your wedding,
- 4:15Speaker 4: which is a shame, the damn sixty years ago, Chris, Well,
- 4:19Speaker 4: do the math. Three hundred and sixty five days time six.
- 4:22Speaker 4: I think it's been there. I think it's been a
- 4:24Speaker 4: lot of days.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Thank god. We don't do math in this podcast. No,
- 4:27Speaker 1: we don't. We don't know what yet. Yeah, what about
- 4:30Speaker 1: what was after? No?
- 4:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, I saw your bachelor party too, which
- 4:33Speaker 2: was a year later. No what, I don't think so huh.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Well I've been married for great question seven years? So
- 4:43Speaker 2: be seven years July fifteenth. I've got him by, I
- 4:46Speaker 2: got him by three months. Yeah, so you've got along
- 4:49Speaker 2: to the doctor. It's been a long time, been a
- 4:54Speaker 2: real long time. Yeah, all right, okay, you've you've dropped
- 4:57Speaker 2: a lot of weight since then. Yeah, but yeah, you
- 4:59Speaker 2: look good, thanks man, Well you look great, You look good,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but you look great thank you.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Is it the smile?
- 5:05Speaker 4: Well, I would say so, but it's hard to tell
- 5:08Speaker 4: now that somebody copied you with that smile.
- 5:10Speaker 5: So I can see where this is going. Well, how
- 5:12Speaker 5: are we doing? But how's life?
- 5:13Speaker 6: I'm still digesting the announcement. Are you you so you're
- 5:16Speaker 6: suing the doctor? Yeah, it did your knee?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, the the individuals involved in my knee and the entity.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I'd be very specific. I need names and I'll take
- 5:25Speaker 1: care of it.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Well, there's the complaint has been filed, so anyone who
- 5:29Speaker 2: wants to go see it can look it up and
- 5:30Speaker 2: go find it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I'll tell you later. You gotta cut that there. You
- 5:35Speaker 1: gotta believe that.
- 5:38Speaker 2: But yeah, dude doing I never thought in my life
- 5:41Speaker 2: i'd be a guy that sued somebody.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You know how badly. I want to ask you.
- 5:44Speaker 2: About this, right, go ahead, ask me one question, Ask
- 5:47Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 5:49Speaker 1: What do you think they did wrong? You know?
- 5:51Speaker 2: I think, uh, we need to go in farther into
- 5:54Speaker 2: this court case, this case before I can really talk
- 5:58Speaker 2: any further about it. I don't think my lawyers would
- 6:01Speaker 2: allow me to say at this time, what.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Do you think about the doctors as a person?
- 6:06Speaker 5: When I met him I loved him, what about now?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Uh, I'm My emotion towards him is one of those
- 6:15Speaker 2: deals where it's just like I'm not angry, I'm just
- 6:18Speaker 2: really really you know, I'm sad.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Sad. Yeah, could you say you're disappointed? Yeah? Yeah, I
- 6:24Speaker 1: am disappointed.
- 6:25Speaker 5: Wait maybe Thursday, Maybe Thursday, you know what, This Thursday,
- 6:30Speaker 5: I'll answer more questions you.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Like, I know you wanted me to, like see if
- 6:33Speaker 1: I could p r you a little bit. You just
- 6:35Speaker 1: handle me a little bit. And I was like, okay,
- 6:39Speaker 1: well questions.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I saw a little brain work in your mouth.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Got wheel open. Thanks ever vision.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a wild deal.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Hopefully it all gets just figured out and it's all
- 6:49Speaker 2: done and I can I can speak about it more
- 6:50Speaker 2: because I like people to know what's going on in
- 6:53Speaker 2: my career.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I love it there it is, Well, what else is
- 6:57Speaker 1: going on? Boys? We had the draft?
- 6:59Speaker 2: Happened, aft happened. Now we got a couple of Titans
- 7:01Speaker 2: fans in here. I'd like to hear from Garrett and
- 7:04Speaker 2: Jack how they feel the Tennessee Titans did in this draft.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I got a question first, and Jack, can we also
- 7:09Speaker 7: pull up?
- 7:10Speaker 1: Is it the.
- 7:12Speaker 6: Dot technical difficulties? Maybe it's time after the adversity you
- 7:16Speaker 6: work with on the bus. Time time, after three four years,
- 7:19Speaker 6: we can get a better fucking monitor than this one.
- 7:22Speaker 7: Maybe my question was gonna be what was it like
- 7:26Speaker 7: watching the draft not being a part of a team
- 7:29Speaker 7: the first year.
- 7:30Speaker 6: That's a good question, not even about the titansies. Yeah,
- 7:33Speaker 6: flipped it.
- 7:34Speaker 8: Uh.
- 7:34Speaker 2: To be honest with you, there was so much going
- 7:37Speaker 2: on at barstool that I was wearing so many hats
- 7:38Speaker 2: that I chose to wear like I wasn't really even
- 7:40Speaker 2: supposed to do anything. And then I decided halfway through
- 7:42Speaker 2: I was going to sit next to Frank and feed
- 7:44Speaker 2: them hot dogs after every single noise.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I packed all my game jerseys from all the teams
- 7:48Speaker 1: I've been on. My Hey, I got this a.
- 7:50Speaker 5: Little so I had to run run behind the set,
- 7:52Speaker 5: put a jersey on.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Run back. Dude.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Here's how I here's how I feel about that first
- 7:57Speaker 2: round pick, Peter Scarronsky. I think think this is his time.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I think I hope to god he has three times
- 8:06Speaker 2: the career I did. I really do, because like my
- 8:10Speaker 2: relationship with the Titians is outstanding. Obviously I got cut,
- 8:14Speaker 2: but like the best thing to do when you enter
- 8:16Speaker 2: relationship is leave it better than the way you found it.
- 8:18Speaker 2: And I was able to do that. The last couple
- 8:20Speaker 2: of years didn't go the way I wanted to individually,
- 8:22Speaker 2: but at the same time, I like truly want the
- 8:25Speaker 2: best for that franchise, and I hope, I hope he's
- 8:27Speaker 2: the answer at left tackle. I mean he might play guard,
- 8:29Speaker 2: he might play tackle. Who knows where he's gonna go,
- 8:31Speaker 2: but I know he's walking those sevens. He DMed me
- 8:33Speaker 2: and asked me for permission to wear the sevens. But
- 8:36Speaker 2: to go back to your question, Yeah, it was really cool.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I thought to myself, brother, you and got to ask
- 8:41Speaker 2: me for nothing. I go take what's yours. You need
- 8:43Speaker 2: to get him on the bus, yeah, yeah, I talked
- 8:45Speaker 2: to He's represented by Pat Collins. Yeah, him and Will
- 8:50Speaker 2: Levis are both represented. Yeah, so we I thought we
- 8:54Speaker 2: could have them both on the same We need to
- 8:55Speaker 2: get the boys them. Yeah, I get them on the bus.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But I'm extremely excited and happy for him as far
- 8:59Speaker 2: as I my emotion during it, and when that eleven
- 9:01Speaker 2: pick did happen, it was like.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I I wasn't sad.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It was kind of like a tip, like a tip
- 9:06Speaker 2: of the cap like, I'm this is the end of
- 9:08Speaker 2: that chapter, and I'm I'm just I'm proud of what
- 9:10Speaker 2: I was able to accomplish her.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Kind of a weird coincidence too, Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Eleventh overall pick, seventy seven tackle left tackle. It's a
- 9:19Speaker 2: it's a it's a cool contrast. And I hope that.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You know, for thirty years, there's been three left tackles
- 9:24Speaker 2: for the for the Titans and part of the Houston Oilers.
- 9:26Speaker 2: So for me, it's like, I hope that continues. So
- 9:30Speaker 2: in forty years, It's like, man, they've had four tackles
- 9:32Speaker 2: in forty years.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Yeah, it's almost like, uh, the Green bit backers, Brett Farven,
- 9:36Speaker 6: Aaron Rodgers.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that. I mean, much more valuable positions. Yeah, right,
- 9:40Speaker 2: without the Super Bowls, but yeah, yeah that's true. I
- 9:43Speaker 2: can you need to go to Chris if you got
- 9:46Speaker 2: something going on today, got too much attention on me
- 9:49Speaker 2: or something like that. But it was cool, man, and
- 9:51Speaker 2: I was I was very happy. I wanted them to
- 9:54Speaker 2: get him him or Paris Johnson Junior. Other two picks
- 9:57Speaker 2: I wanted. Got to be fired up for the boy.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Paris Johnson six overall player and dude, just give me
- 10:02Speaker 2: a Cardinals mclap. Let's give him clap, shout out the
- 10:04Speaker 2: Cardinals at three, trading back, letting whatever happened happened, then
- 10:08Speaker 2: trading back up to get their guy.
- 10:10Speaker 1: They played some chess them along with the Houston Texans
- 10:12Speaker 1: before we move on to the Texans too.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Like Paris, we were all in a group chat and
- 10:15Speaker 6: Paris was saying like he wants to go three. Overall,
- 10:18Speaker 6: we didn't know how healthy that was, of like a guess,
- 10:21Speaker 6: but he seemed to want to go to Arizona and
- 10:22Speaker 6: probably when they traded out, they traded back and then
- 10:25Speaker 6: back up to six, and when they got him, you
- 10:26Speaker 6: could see that emotion in the uh in the green room.
- 10:29Speaker 6: That he had to do was fire the fuck up
- 10:30Speaker 6: that he went to the team that he was sort
- 10:32Speaker 6: of guessing, like where I'm probably gonna go.
- 10:35Speaker 1: He did say Cardinals at three, it was Cardinals at six.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It's all good. Yeah, that's awesome, dude. And he he's
- 10:41Speaker 1: just a sweet boy. He is. He's just a sweet
- 10:43Speaker 1: sweep boy.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Meeting him, being around him. He came to the live
- 10:46Speaker 2: show when we're in Columbus. The guy is he's just
- 10:49Speaker 2: a good fucking dude. He'll randomly hit me and Will
- 10:51Speaker 2: up and just be like, hey, what's up?
- 10:52Speaker 1: Boys? Did he randomly did he do what we asked?
- 10:55Speaker 5: Did he did we find out if he said he
- 10:58Speaker 5: shouted us out.
- 10:59Speaker 1: On that interview right after the stage, right after the podium.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I think no, I don't know about that. It
- 11:05Speaker 2: was so hard to tell because the barstools were.
- 11:07Speaker 1: On the barsool thing. There was no volume.
- 11:09Speaker 6: Yeah, now we're talking about uh, Houston fucking murdered.
- 11:15Speaker 1: The draft?
- 11:15Speaker 2: Did Draft Day? They did the movie Draft Day? Incredible? Yeah,
- 11:20Speaker 2: Will Anderson Junior, c J. Stroud, not in that order,
- 11:23Speaker 2: c J. Stroud at two. You know, it messed up
- 11:26Speaker 2: a lot of things.
- 11:27Speaker 6: I think a lot of teams were Iron Titans.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we both thought when those rumors started
- 11:34Speaker 2: happening a couple hours before, because when they picked c J.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Stroud you like Taylor, it looked at me like I
- 11:39Speaker 2: had something to do with it.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that was over there with hot dogs in hand. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 2: just trying to feed Frank the tank, just trying to
- 11:44Speaker 2: feed his ass.
- 11:46Speaker 1: But yeah, dude, fuck and you always.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Want a little bit of chaos during the draft, Like
- 11:50Speaker 2: that's what we tune in for, and like, because the
- 11:52Speaker 2: Texans aren't my team, it was cool to see. It
- 11:55Speaker 2: was cool to fucking watch them pick at two and
- 11:58Speaker 2: you're like, all right, they got the quarterback, what's gonna
- 12:00Speaker 2: happen next?
- 12:00Speaker 6: And all of a sudden they do it again. They
- 12:02Speaker 6: were nowhere near That was not rumored whatsoever. I think
- 12:05Speaker 6: that one came out of left field. They really got
- 12:07Speaker 6: They got it trading up to three. Everybody was talking
- 12:09Speaker 6: about that three spot, like, who's going to trade up?
- 12:11Speaker 6: Cardinals are willing to deal? Willing to deal the number
- 12:14Speaker 6: three overall pick, and uh, you need some water?
- 12:17Speaker 1: Bum I do?
- 12:18Speaker 5: I got that thing and I found out the reason
- 12:20Speaker 5: why I got sick? Will do you want to tell
- 12:22Speaker 5: him why I got sick? Oh?
- 12:27Speaker 6: But yeah, that Cardinals pick was up in the air.
- 12:29Speaker 6: They were open about it. And then everybody's kind of
- 12:31Speaker 6: wondering who's going to jump up to three. I was
- 12:32Speaker 6: hoping that the Tidans would jump up to three c J.
- 12:35Speaker 6: Stroud or Anthony Richardson because I didn't think Houston was
- 12:38Speaker 6: going to take c J.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Stroud. When Houston took c J.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Stroud at number two, I was like, oh fuck, I
- 12:44Speaker 6: didn't see this coming at all, right, because I thought
- 12:46Speaker 6: he's wrapped by the same agent as Deshaun Watson. And
- 12:49Speaker 6: I was out there saying like, there ain't no way
- 12:51Speaker 6: that that Texas are gonna deal with c. J. Stroud
- 12:53Speaker 6: when they have that close relationship with Deshaun Watson. Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 6: and then when they picked him at two, I was like, Fuck,
- 12:58Speaker 6: what's gonna happen?
- 12:59Speaker 5: Now?
- 12:59Speaker 6: I'm pretty sure a lot of teams thoughts Stroud might
- 13:01Speaker 6: be there at three. I wonder what teams now are
- 13:04Speaker 6: out being like, Hey, how are we gonna pivot here?
- 13:06Speaker 6: And then seeing the Cardinals trade back for Houston trade up, it'say,
- 13:09Speaker 6: what the fuck is happening? They take Will Anderson Junior,
- 13:11Speaker 6: which has gotta fire coach, head coach a Deaniko ryans
- 13:14Speaker 6: up because when you're a head coach and a new
- 13:16Speaker 6: head coach, it's not like you're sitting here thinking like, oh,
- 13:18Speaker 6: we need that first overall quarterback. You're in a fucking
- 13:21Speaker 6: defensive guy. You want that defensive side, that defensive guy,
- 13:24Speaker 6: that cornerstone, that corner piece, because the chances that Denico
- 13:29Speaker 6: Ryan's gonna sit there and coach he's a Stroud isn't high,
- 13:32Speaker 6: so he's excited about it. I want to build whatever
- 13:34Speaker 6: my reputation is gonna be around a defensive player. So
- 13:37Speaker 6: they get Stroud and then they get Will Anderson Junior,
- 13:39Speaker 6: the best defensive player in the draft. Like, hats off
- 13:42Speaker 6: to the Houston Texas. Then Cardinals trade back. Who picks
- 13:46Speaker 6: a three Texans?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah, the Colts.
- 13:51Speaker 6: So the Colts in the AFC South, they get a quarterback,
- 13:54Speaker 6: Anthony Richardson. Now, if these boys pan out, there's gonna
- 13:58Speaker 6: be nothing but killers in the FC South. Got Justin Lawrence,
- 14:01Speaker 6: you got C. J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson. Are my
- 14:04Speaker 6: question too there in there? Yeah, at this moment in time,
- 14:09Speaker 6: my question the Titans faithful is what was everybody thinking
- 14:12Speaker 6: at that moment?
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Trevor Lawrence. I hate that. I have to correct. Yeah,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I heard that too, and I didn't know what you know,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'm stupid. We know him stupid.
- 14:22Speaker 5: We're not stupid, dude, You just you just get miscombobulated.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Sometimes you're not dumb. Well, don't talk to yourself like that.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Man.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Positive vibe, Yeah, keep the positive vibes. What were you
- 14:31Speaker 2: guys thinking?
- 14:32Speaker 7: Well, I got I got another kind of question, and
- 14:34Speaker 7: it was My thought is if the Titan after seeing
- 14:37Speaker 7: strougo two and then the Titans don't go to three,
- 14:40Speaker 7: does that mean that the Titans were not even interested
- 14:43Speaker 7: in Anthony Richardson?
- 14:47Speaker 2: But you listen to this here, here's where I think,
- 14:50Speaker 2: and this is me just playing GM. Texans picked two,
- 14:55Speaker 2: Houston picked three. They probably was a debate going back
- 14:57Speaker 2: and forth. You only got ten minutes situation for that,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and the Texans had more drafting. What's that which is
- 15:06Speaker 2: all correct? Right, it's all facts. You're right, that's facts.
- 15:09Speaker 2: That's not being redundant match, that's fucking using my words correctly.
- 15:13Speaker 2: There was probably there was probably some sort of back
- 15:15Speaker 2: and forth of who's gonna do what?
- 15:16Speaker 1: Right?
- 15:17Speaker 2: And then Houston Texans had more draft capital than the Titans,
- 15:20Speaker 2: so they end up winning that battle. Now there's four
- 15:23Speaker 2: to get Anthony Richardson. Four is the ind Andaupolis Colts.
- 15:27Speaker 2: The Colts are not going to trade a high draft
- 15:29Speaker 2: pick to somebody that's in their division. It's not gonna happen.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 15:33Speaker 7: On three for the three spot, is that, like, was
- 15:36Speaker 7: there hesitation now that the Titans didn't go to three
- 15:39Speaker 7: because Stroud was gone.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Like, that's kind of my question.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I think that goes back to what I said about
- 15:46Speaker 2: draft capital. I think the Cardinal I'm maybe they tried.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Let's say they both went in and the Titans called like, hey,
- 15:52Speaker 2: let us get up there in the Houston and Houston
- 15:53Speaker 2: called like, Houston's gonna win that battle because they have
- 15:55Speaker 2: more ammo.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and Arizona just didn't call back. Yeah, well yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: we'll get right back.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Called Houston said yep, you got You've absolutely got it,
- 16:03Speaker 2: and then treated back up to sixth. Dude, what a
- 16:05Speaker 2: fucking deal. Seattle playing his day, just fucking David.
- 16:09Speaker 6: But I love that that Devon Witherspoon pit, that Devin
- 16:13Speaker 6: Witherspoon pick. That's the dude that plays fucking physical as
- 16:17Speaker 6: a corner.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Dude.
- 16:18Speaker 2: It's crazy that Illinois has these players. It's definitely they
- 16:22Speaker 2: always have, like a first round draft.
- 16:23Speaker 1: But they always have something somewhere. When we were in.
- 16:25Speaker 2: College, it was like they had who's the guy that
- 16:28Speaker 2: fucking put me in a blender for Houston? Huh oh,
- 16:33Speaker 2: you're talking about you're talking Whitney merciless.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Whitney merciless.
- 16:37Speaker 2: There was like a Buchanan guy that went to the Patriots,
- 16:40Speaker 2: also first round draft pick. They had a d tackle
- 16:43Speaker 2: that went first round. This is all like when we
- 16:45Speaker 2: were in college. Out there, Dustin dude, Illinois, Like, why
- 16:49Speaker 2: can't they get their ship together?
- 16:50Speaker 1: Right? They can't.
- 16:51Speaker 7: Always had a little running back too weirdly had like
- 16:54Speaker 7: a decent running back.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah, and they can't win games? How many games did
- 16:57Speaker 2: Illinois win last year?
- 16:58Speaker 1: Jack?
- 16:59Speaker 6: Well enough? I think they were. They were a tough team.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Now we were right in Illinois, like bet the bus, Yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I think so?
- 17:05Speaker 6: Did they Did they fire their head coach? No, he's
- 17:09Speaker 6: a staple. Yeah, it's a Bilma. He's building that culture
- 17:14Speaker 6: off the run game and defense and Witherspoon. He will
- 17:16Speaker 6: knock your dick in the dirt. He is the light.
- 17:19Speaker 6: He is the type of corner that you won on
- 17:20Speaker 6: your team. I think he's I think he's a stud.
- 17:23Speaker 6: But look, boys were eight and five. We talk about
- 17:26Speaker 6: now annoyers out there moving, They're making moves. They almost
- 17:29Speaker 6: run the Beay ten championship. Scroll down a little bit.
- 17:32Speaker 6: There they are Nebraska. Come on, disrespect my boys. You
- 17:35Speaker 6: know we got a new there they are three and
- 17:37Speaker 6: you know we got a new regime right now.
- 17:39Speaker 5: New regime and a whole lot of room for improvement.
- 17:41Speaker 6: Which we are improving. You saw Casey Thompson. He's not
- 17:44Speaker 6: winning the job coming out of the spring game or
- 17:46Speaker 6: coming out of spring ball. He's transferring, he answered the
- 17:49Speaker 6: transfer portal. Casey Thompson did that the kid we interviewed. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 6: he's transferred again. Yeah, because he's not gonna win the job.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Uh that that QB that transferred to dude, that quarterback
- 18:00Speaker 6: that transferred up from Georgia Tech. Apparently he's playing some
- 18:02Speaker 6: good ball out there from Georgia Tech.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, he's a beast. Yeah, he's playing He's a
- 18:09Speaker 1: beast like that, apparently playing some good ball.
- 18:12Speaker 6: So he coach Coach Rule had a conversation with Casey
- 18:16Speaker 6: was you know, he just had to have like a
- 18:17Speaker 6: heart to heart about what the opportunity is going to
- 18:19Speaker 6: look like?
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, what are Casey's opportunities are going to look like?
- 18:23Speaker 2: You transferred because he did. He didn't win a job, right,
- 18:25Speaker 2: so he left. Uh yeah, they were going to compete
- 18:29Speaker 2: in fall camp. I want to say Casey was, uh
- 18:31Speaker 2: was uh where he was before Nebraska Texas Texas? Right,
- 18:36Speaker 2: and he was he did not sniff the starting role there.
- 18:39Speaker 6: Well, he sniffed it, but he got he lost out
- 18:43Speaker 6: on the job going into that.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Yeah, he was the the middle of the year, right,
- 18:45Speaker 7: He was the dude until halftime of the Oklahoma game.
- 18:49Speaker 7: And then that's when Caleb Williams became Caleb Williams.
- 18:52Speaker 1: That's right? Is that right? And then he leaves, no,
- 18:56Speaker 1: that's not right william Us Oklahoma. Yeah's glome.
- 18:59Speaker 6: You're talking about Spencer Rattler. I know what you're talking about.
- 19:02Speaker 6: He got hurt right right right?
- 19:08Speaker 2: You at Nebraska and then you don't you want to
- 19:10Speaker 2: get in the transfer portal. I'm not saying anything against Nebraska.
- 19:12Speaker 2: That's a second transfer, Like, where's he gonna go next?
- 19:15Speaker 6: I think what sucks for him to play you, to
- 19:17Speaker 6: play Devil's advocate. I think what sucks for him is
- 19:19Speaker 6: I think he was recovering from a shoulder injury. You
- 19:21Speaker 6: get a whole new coaching staff that comes in. They
- 19:23Speaker 6: got their guy and who's a Justin Simms who came
- 19:26Speaker 6: up from Georgia Tech.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Apparently he's a little bit of a baller.
- 19:28Speaker 6: So coach I did just let him know, like, hey,
- 19:30Speaker 6: it's gonna be a competition, and Casey probably just didn't
- 19:34Speaker 6: like hearing that it was gonna be competitive and he
- 19:35Speaker 6: was gonna start off as number two. They probably just
- 19:38Speaker 6: jumped in that portal because you got one more year
- 19:39Speaker 6: to make it shake, brother, make.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Shake, make make it shake.
- 19:42Speaker 9: Man.
- 19:43Speaker 1: We'll see what happens. We'll see what happens.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Shout out, shoutout Illinois dude for really bringing it in,
- 19:47Speaker 2: bringing it home.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Yeah, bring up that draft, bring up that first round again. Hey,
- 19:52Speaker 6: but the boys, how do we feel about Will Levis?
- 19:54Speaker 6: Let's ask the This is where you guys need to answer.
- 19:56Speaker 6: We need the Titans fans. Jack McPherson, Garrett Hargus, now
- 19:59Speaker 6: something think about Jack with Fierson. Dude, his his twitter
- 20:01Speaker 6: got hacked after the eleventh overall pick. Bro to the
- 20:04Speaker 6: Tesse Titians, he said, thank god it wasn't Will Levis.
- 20:06Speaker 6: You didn't say that, No, it was.
- 20:07Speaker 5: The first round.
- 20:08Speaker 10: Someone got access to my twitter there between the lot
- 20:11Speaker 10: of Will Elevis slander, I don't know who it is
- 20:13Speaker 10: to day, but yeah, you know, I'm kind of indifferent
- 20:16Speaker 10: on the situation. We'll just kind of have to see
- 20:18Speaker 10: what is I think there's promise in him, but I've
- 20:22Speaker 10: got a few friends online. I'm not gonna say their
- 20:24Speaker 10: names specifically, but they're like hell bent that he's gonna
- 20:26Speaker 10: be winning US championships, and look, I want us to
- 20:29Speaker 10: win championships. But I'm also gonna be realistic, like Will
- 20:34Speaker 10: Levis is most likely not gonna be that guy, and
- 20:36Speaker 10: if he is, I will retract my statement, eat my words,
- 20:40Speaker 10: and shake his hand because I hope that he's gonna
- 20:43Speaker 10: be the guy for us. But now we have three
- 20:45Speaker 10: fucking quarterbacks on our roster. We're spending thirty million plus
- 20:50Speaker 10: with no guarantees on any of them. We drafted another
- 20:52Speaker 10: running back. I'm like very up in arms a little
- 20:56Speaker 10: bit about our draft. I love Can I think he's
- 20:58Speaker 10: gonna be a great pick for us. I wanted Paris.
- 21:01Speaker 10: Obviously he fell sooner. His draft stock was way too
- 21:05Speaker 10: high to drop to eleven. But I'm I just feel
- 21:08Speaker 10: like we're filling gaps where we didn't need to fill them,
- 21:10Speaker 10: and like we need to. We need to figure out
- 21:12Speaker 10: these problems that we have that are existent in terms
- 21:15Speaker 10: of our starting quarterbacks. Where we're gonna go in terms
- 21:18Speaker 10: of our running backs, if Derek's gonna still be there,
- 21:21Speaker 10: we got to fill out our line. Skorronski's obviously a
- 21:23Speaker 10: great start. But again, I'm not I'm not a draft
- 21:28Speaker 10: like analyst. Guys, so is will LEVI is this.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I do love this conversation. Speaking as a fan, that's beautiful.
- 21:34Speaker 1: This speak your truth, Jack.
- 21:35Speaker 5: I think I'm a lot more happy though, Just.
- 21:38Speaker 2: Can I interrupt the only thing? Hey, I'm so glad
- 21:41Speaker 2: you went in that because he was on rapping. Well,
- 21:43Speaker 2: I want him to continue to I want him to
- 21:45Speaker 2: continue to talk. But you're like, you know, we got
- 21:46Speaker 2: these problems at running back number one. I think they
- 21:48Speaker 2: took a kid third round. Yeah, from it seems to
- 21:52Speaker 2: be a beast. They're gonna have Derek, So let's just
- 21:54Speaker 2: say running back is fine.
- 21:56Speaker 1: O line. Yeah, they have holes.
- 21:58Speaker 6: I think they did a good job addressing it by
- 22:00Speaker 6: drafting Peter Scronsky, who seems like a stud out of
- 22:03Speaker 6: Northwestern Taylor, Like Taylor, that's your face, that was your
- 22:06Speaker 6: favorite tackle going.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He's the most well rounded offensive line in.
- 22:10Speaker 6: A lot of people are saying like this is this
- 22:11Speaker 6: is gonna be a guy that coaches love to have
- 22:13Speaker 6: because as far as technique, knowing how to do it
- 22:16Speaker 6: and all that shit, he's very polished. All he needs
- 22:18Speaker 6: to do is learn the playbook. He's gonna hit the
- 22:20Speaker 6: ground running. Seems like a good pick. Seems like he's
- 22:21Speaker 6: gonna pick up the playbook being in Northwestern guy now.
- 22:25Speaker 6: But then you you make it seem like they address
- 22:27Speaker 6: those problems. Are you talking about on the outside steal position?
- 22:31Speaker 10: No, I just said I love the Skronsky pick. I
- 22:35Speaker 10: was really hoping we were gonna take some kind of lineman.
- 22:38Speaker 10: I did not want some like big time player CJ.
- 22:41Speaker 10: Stroud first pick. We have so many holes in our
- 22:43Speaker 10: offensive line right now that we have to address that,
- 22:46Speaker 10: and I'm I love that. I wish we could have
- 22:48Speaker 10: gotten Paris just from a personal tie, but I think
- 22:51Speaker 10: Scarrotsky could be the long term.
- 22:53Speaker 1: What don't you like about Levis?
- 22:55Speaker 5: Everything? Dude?
- 22:59Speaker 1: He was you know, he's gonna be on the bus soon.
- 23:01Speaker 10: This will be yeah, I know, and I have nothing
- 23:03Speaker 10: against him. Was like, look, he was SEC East guy.
- 23:08Speaker 10: We played him against Tennessee. We absolutely donkeyed them. Will
- 23:12Speaker 10: Levis is like he was a He was a pretty
- 23:14Speaker 10: decent quarterback for the SEC. But like, nothing crazy. I
- 23:18Speaker 10: just feel like this's like a lot of outspoken things.
- 23:20Speaker 10: He says and like there's like weird, there's like, yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 10: I don't mayo and coffee.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Obviously that's way like that shouldn't be a thing.
- 23:29Speaker 10: But I'm not like, I'm not gonna be like he
- 23:31Speaker 10: puts mayo on his coffee, like, no, you'll never play
- 23:34Speaker 10: in the NFL.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 23:36Speaker 10: But at if we taken him in the first round,
- 23:38Speaker 10: I would have been devastated because the draft stock way
- 23:42Speaker 10: too low to be going first round, second round. I
- 23:46Speaker 10: guess the trade up's still not sure if we made
- 23:48Speaker 10: the right decision.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 23:51Speaker 5: I'm not an analyst.
- 23:52Speaker 10: I'm just gonna sit back and let time tell if
- 23:55Speaker 10: this was a good pick. And again, I'm a Titans fan,
- 23:58Speaker 10: so I hope that Will Levis pans out to be
- 24:01Speaker 10: a long term guy for us. I don't know if
- 24:03Speaker 10: you will, but I hope he comes on the bus
- 24:05Speaker 10: and we can talk it over and he can change
- 24:07Speaker 10: my mind on him as a person. But as of
- 24:10Speaker 10: right now, I love Scarnsky and that's kind of where
- 24:13Speaker 10: I stand.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I got a U Okay, good question. I fucking love Jack.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Did Jack's out there?
- 24:22Speaker 5: And person, I see where you're coming from.
- 24:30Speaker 7: Do you feel a little bit that it was kind
- 24:32Speaker 7: of karmado. No, no hold on, Well, that kind of
- 24:38Speaker 7: answers for the whole state of Tennessee being Titans and
- 24:43Speaker 7: Balls fans that they now have to root for like
- 24:46Speaker 7: somebody that they didn't like.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I just fair question, fair question. Question. Question is if
- 24:51Speaker 1: they would have took Hooker.
- 24:53Speaker 10: No, I I I would prefer Will Levis over Hooker.
- 24:56Speaker 10: He seems like a more go ahead. I said this
- 24:59Speaker 10: on Twitter, and this this isn't a like I. I
- 25:02Speaker 10: just don't know if I would have taken a quarterback
- 25:04Speaker 10: too when we have a lot of other issues at hand.
- 25:09Speaker 10: So I hope he pans out. And no, I don't
- 25:12Speaker 10: think it's it's karma. I do think it's hilarious that
- 25:15Speaker 10: in the first round everyone's like, fuck, yeah, we evaded
- 25:18Speaker 10: Will Levis, and then second round second.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Rate up immediately straight up, and we see now there
- 25:23Speaker 2: were a lot of rumors that the Titans, along with
- 25:26Speaker 2: other teams, were fiercely trying to trade up into the
- 25:28Speaker 2: late first round to take Will Levis. Really yes, because
- 25:33Speaker 2: everybody wants that fifth year option on a quarterback, sure,
- 25:36Speaker 2: and so you're taking him at thirty three as opposed
- 25:38Speaker 2: to thirty two.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Or twenty nine or something like that.
- 25:40Speaker 2: There's a lot of there's a lot of gift there
- 25:42Speaker 2: because because it gives him time to develop, you don't
- 25:44Speaker 2: have to pay on those big bucks and put people
- 25:46Speaker 2: around him. So how mad would you be if the
- 25:48Speaker 2: Titans rate it into the first round.
- 25:50Speaker 5: I'm not doing heat like you know, hyperpotheticals.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Yeah you road my fucking bad.
- 25:57Speaker 5: It was the podcast not talking, but yeah, I fucked
- 25:59Speaker 5: that ship.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Dude.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Never mind, I don't do hypothetical.
- 26:04Speaker 10: I do hope that Will Loves comes on the bus
- 26:06Speaker 10: room because he seems like a guy that people are
- 26:07Speaker 10: gonna want to hear about, and I do too. I
- 26:10Speaker 10: want to hear what he has to see. You want
- 26:11Speaker 10: to change your mind on him as a person?
- 26:13Speaker 6: Yeah, that a person. You see him get hype when
- 26:16Speaker 6: he got announced that.
- 26:18Speaker 5: He was with the family.
- 26:19Speaker 10: He Yeah, it seems like he's got a lot of heart,
- 26:21Speaker 10: and so I hope he does well again. I'm not
- 26:24Speaker 10: gonna say anything else like after today about it until
- 26:27Speaker 10: we see him play and we just have like what
- 26:30Speaker 10: are we gonna do with my leak? Like Night Night
- 26:33Speaker 10: the Dog. I'm sorry, but you're gone. We we can't
- 26:36Speaker 10: have three of these QBS on the roster.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Like, right, you can, right, but you but you don't.
- 26:43Speaker 6: You don't want to dress three if you don't have
- 26:46Speaker 6: to eat, and I don't think we will.
- 26:49Speaker 1: I don't know. Usually you don't.
- 26:51Speaker 5: Those are the new rules of dressing people. Yeah, probably
- 26:53Speaker 5: what I'm saying. Yeah, usually you don't. Yeah, dude, I
- 26:57Speaker 5: think he was the third on pick. He seems like
- 27:00Speaker 5: a project.
- 27:01Speaker 6: There's a lot of headlines and stories out there on
- 27:03Speaker 6: that the Titans are kind of giving up on him.
- 27:06Speaker 6: Don't know how true that is. I see the headlines
- 27:07Speaker 6: after everybody else, and I do not read the articles.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I just like to assume right, right, right right.
- 27:15Speaker 6: But you know, it's like it's the fucking game, dude.
- 27:17Speaker 6: I'm sure he was sitting there hoping that the Titans
- 27:19Speaker 6: don't take a quarterback. Being in that spot, you hope
- 27:22Speaker 6: they don't fucking draft your position. Seems like on the
- 27:24Speaker 6: draft board it was working out for the Titans. They
- 27:26Speaker 6: wanted to move up and get Will Levis because they
- 27:27Speaker 6: saw something in him that they like, and he gets picked.
- 27:30Speaker 6: It's like you see the fucking ticker, You're like, son
- 27:32Speaker 6: of a bitch, But you know, I don't.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Know what happens. It's up to him. It's up to him,
- 27:36Speaker 2: truly up to him. Like it's up to him what happens.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Because if there's no if there's no dead cap for
- 27:43Speaker 2: Ryan Tannehill and they don't owe him any any money. Literally,
- 27:47Speaker 2: the Titans hope that Will Levis is good enough to
- 27:50Speaker 2: cut Ryan Tannehill correct that they hope that's.
- 27:53Speaker 6: The business zooming out. You hope that Levis or Maleik
- 27:56Speaker 6: either one again, they're gonna be competing for the backup job.
- 27:59Speaker 6: It's Ryan Tannel's job this year. Yes, they're gonna be
- 28:01Speaker 6: competing for the backup job. And you hope that one
- 28:03Speaker 6: of those guys show you that, all right, we'll be
- 28:06Speaker 6: able to move on with one of these quarterbacks. It's
- 28:09Speaker 6: not like they're crowning Will Levis as the successor of
- 28:11Speaker 6: Ryan Tannehill. They see something in him that they can
- 28:14Speaker 6: help the football team, like right now or in in
- 28:16Speaker 6: the future. That's why they drafted him. They also thought
- 28:18Speaker 6: the same thing with Maliku last year. They're not saying
- 28:21Speaker 6: that they don't not believe in him anymore. That's why
- 28:23Speaker 6: they drafted Will Levis. But now you've got two young
- 28:26Speaker 6: quarterbacks who can compete for that job and hoping that
- 28:29Speaker 6: they can overtake Ryan next year so that way they
- 28:31Speaker 6: can cut him and relieve themselves of cap space.
- 28:33Speaker 1: That's like the fucking business. I think he's like the
- 28:35Speaker 1: last year on Ryan's on contract, right it is.
- 28:38Speaker 6: They're not even anymore, no matter what. Yeah, exactly, you
- 28:40Speaker 6: hope you want to move on.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah, you hope to god that as if you're the
- 28:43Speaker 2: Titans organization that Will Levis shows enough improvement. Maybe, depending
- 28:47Speaker 2: on where you are from a record standpoint, later in
- 28:49Speaker 2: the season, you take Tannehill out, you put him in
- 28:51Speaker 2: getting that experience, because if he's gonna be your guy,
- 28:54Speaker 2: you need to know right away, right depending on where
- 28:56Speaker 2: the Titans are at, like, might draft another one.
- 28:57Speaker 6: If they're winning and they're fucking leading to the vision
- 29:00Speaker 6: and all that, Yeah, they might draft the dude.
- 29:02Speaker 2: If the Titans do not do well, let's say they
- 29:04Speaker 2: have a top ten pick, they might have to draft.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Depending on Will Levis, they might have to draft another one.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Yeah, you never know. You never know, and then you're hoping.
- 29:14Speaker 6: You're hoping one of them do does spand out though,
- 29:16Speaker 6: because they're on their rookie deal. You want to take
- 29:18Speaker 6: advantage of building around your future quarterback when they're on
- 29:20Speaker 6: a rookie deal, not some break the bank second contract.
- 29:24Speaker 1: But yeah, man, I do really like interesting.
- 29:27Speaker 10: I like the running back Spears apparently he's a feisty dude.
- 29:31Speaker 5: And I really like the tight end pick.
- 29:33Speaker 10: So Garrett really wanted Michael mahor you go on Garrett's
- 29:36Speaker 10: Twitter is Michael Marhr's stand account?
- 29:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that bro.
- 29:40Speaker 5: But Michael Meher going to the Raiders that that should
- 29:42Speaker 5: be funny.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Well, sorry for the boys of Silver and Black because they.
- 29:45Speaker 10: Got they got a lot of spots to fill for
- 29:47Speaker 10: tight End right now.
- 29:48Speaker 2: He's got that hgh head too. He's got a big
- 29:52Speaker 2: Michael Merhor.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he's got that. Johnny should be on that dude.
- 29:57Speaker 1: He's a brandy guy. Exactly. He did.
- 30:00Speaker 6: I'm sure he was up there on their board, you
- 30:02Speaker 6: know what I mean. Yeah, like Michael Mayer was up
- 30:04Speaker 6: there probably on everybody's board. I'm fired up that the
- 30:06Speaker 6: Silver and Black got him because they lost Darreon Waller
- 30:08Speaker 6: and now they got Michael Mayer, who I think is
- 30:10Speaker 6: gonna hit the gound running because he just seems like
- 30:12Speaker 6: that kind of dude.
- 30:13Speaker 2: And Foster going back to uh, Taj Spears. Did you
- 30:16Speaker 2: see all the reports coming on by his knees. Yeah,
- 30:19Speaker 2: he got he's got some shaking ees apparently now I
- 30:22Speaker 2: got that shake, you got that shake you and all
- 30:25Speaker 2: this stuff. Apparently at the combine he almost didn't pass
- 30:27Speaker 2: physicals or didn't pass physical as one of the two.
- 30:29Speaker 1: This is allegedly. I don't you know. I'm like you.
- 30:32Speaker 2: I saw the tweet and I happen to make it
- 30:34Speaker 2: through a one hundred and forty four characters. One hundred
- 30:35Speaker 2: and forty characters. But that's all I fucking saw, dude,
- 30:39Speaker 2: is it here?
- 30:40Speaker 6: I'm just game changing running back who's also effective at
- 30:44Speaker 6: catching the ball. That's just something that we need to
- 30:46Speaker 6: have effective catching the ball in the backfield.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Does that mean Hilliard's going to be able to handle
- 30:50Speaker 1: a lot of carries at the next level?
- 30:51Speaker 6: Gone, I'm telling you, like you, it's not like every
- 30:53Speaker 6: rookie is expected to they are expected to contribute in
- 30:56Speaker 6: some way.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Dude, Hilliard is a core four guy. He could easily
- 30:59Speaker 2: go step in on kickoff, kick off return, punt, punt return,
- 31:02Speaker 2: all that.
- 31:03Speaker 6: Nature of the business. Yeah, that running back was there
- 31:05Speaker 6: on their board and when they wanted to have it
- 31:07Speaker 6: mixed running backs now, yeah, they got a lot of
- 31:09Speaker 6: running backs.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I think the biggest thing people are mad about is
- 31:11Speaker 2: not taking the wide receiver.
- 31:13Speaker 7: See I think I think the tight end pick will
- 31:15Speaker 7: act as that missing receiving piece.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Is his name?
- 31:20Speaker 11: Why is a while he has little little Delaney? I agree,
- 31:24Speaker 11: But he's a beast. This guy's This guy's as tall
- 31:27Speaker 11: as you like. Apparently high ball guy. That's why I
- 31:31Speaker 11: was confused. If you're gonna take a tight end later,
- 31:33Speaker 11: why wouldn't you have taken Michael Mayer? But maybe it's
- 31:37Speaker 11: because of his skill set.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Look that seemed like Omayer is a pass catching tight end
- 31:42Speaker 2: right whoa you hear that?
- 31:43Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah?
- 31:44Speaker 6: Did they get in the whoops? He also likes to
- 31:47Speaker 6: put He also liked to put people in the dirt too.
- 31:49Speaker 6: That's why you kind of love the attitude of Michael Mahyer.
- 31:51Speaker 6: But this dude is a Josh Wile. You know, Rave's
- 31:54Speaker 6: probably fired up. He comes out of Cincinnati coach Fickle
- 31:56Speaker 6: coaching forever. Rave's and Fickler they're like best men at
- 32:00Speaker 6: each other's wedding, So I'm sure they did all the
- 32:02Speaker 6: due diligence to be like, oh.
- 32:03Speaker 1: This is our fucking guy in the fifth round.
- 32:05Speaker 2: One thing to put a note on, the Titans draft
- 32:07Speaker 2: their picks more white guys than they probably need, almost
- 32:12Speaker 2: like three to two all offense.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 6: Yeah, you don't like seeing that bright you know, you
- 32:17Speaker 6: don't like seeing that brightness off.
- 32:20Speaker 2: When it comes up on the profile. All hard working
- 32:24Speaker 2: and gritty, tough, smart guys.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:27Speaker 6: Now, you know, if it's on the old line, you
- 32:28Speaker 6: can that's where they belong. But you get on the outside,
- 32:33Speaker 6: you know, you like to see a little they belong
- 32:36Speaker 6: the white guys.
- 32:36Speaker 1: Yeah, what about Kyle Phillips another big heads.
- 32:39Speaker 6: There's the anomalies out there, you know what I mean,
- 32:41Speaker 6: there's anomalies out there.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Yeah, And speaking of anomalies, there's a white dB in
- 32:47Speaker 2: the LA.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Yes, there's a white.
- 32:52Speaker 12: You know.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I didn't like the cloud. We shouldn't have cloud. I
- 32:54Speaker 2: did not like the way that felt. We gotta be
- 32:56Speaker 2: fucking proud.
- 32:58Speaker 5: We're missing the diversity white guys celebrating.
- 33:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that is an anomaly, dude. And I'm pretty sure
- 33:09Speaker 2: he's got a mustache too, animullet, is he not?
- 33:13Speaker 1: I think he's gonna move to safety soon.
- 33:14Speaker 6: And we didn't track he's got to you gotta white
- 33:19Speaker 6: cornerback out of you know where else?
- 33:22Speaker 1: Iowa?
- 33:23Speaker 2: Yeah, that's Iowa and Nebraska have weight in Wisconsin.
- 33:30Speaker 5: Let me see a pick of this dude, third round.
- 33:34Speaker 6: All eyes are gonna be on him, dude during the
- 33:37Speaker 6: offseason with with all of us, with the dB room
- 33:39Speaker 6: and everybody else, Like, look at his white boy.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Out here balling.
- 33:43Speaker 3: Yeah, man, dude, this one article about I guess Troy
- 33:53Speaker 3: app Key was the only other white cornerback this how
- 33:56Speaker 3: is titled is Troy Afkey broke the NFL's eight year
- 34:00Speaker 3: run without a white quarterback.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Four four five? But can move now?
- 34:08Speaker 2: Yeah, only a tenth of a second faster than Will
- 34:11Speaker 2: thirty nine.
- 34:12Speaker 1: He's a tenth a second. True, that's true. Christ. For
- 34:19Speaker 1: those of you guys who don't know, Will says you're
- 34:20Speaker 1: in four or five.
- 34:22Speaker 6: His prod strengths and weaknesses. It would be so funny
- 34:25Speaker 6: if weaknesses was just white. Yeah.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Yeah, as a cornerback late cornerback, Yeah that's fucking crazy.
- 34:34Speaker 2: But yeah. The draft was a It was a unique
- 34:36Speaker 2: perspective this year, especially because we were in New York.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Will did a phenomenal job. I thought his work count
- 34:42Speaker 2: was very low. The entire time. However, when he spoke,
- 34:45Speaker 2: he had some good ship to say and his outfit
- 34:47Speaker 2: was incredible.
- 34:48Speaker 6: Lower, I appreciate that, lower than normal on the word count.
- 34:50Speaker 6: I felt like being on the outside of that little
- 34:52Speaker 6: of the four seats was a little difficult because Brandon
- 34:56Speaker 6: and Roan had a really good report. Roan shout out
- 34:58Speaker 6: the boy, Brandon hosting the whole thing, but Roan coming
- 35:01Speaker 6: in with some with some feedback and words like the
- 35:03Speaker 6: dude his brain. He's a freestyle fucking rapper that happens.
- 35:06Speaker 6: Also loved sports, so I felt like he gave a
- 35:08Speaker 6: lot of good intellect and added a lot of value
- 35:11Speaker 6: to that. Then I had Shay next to me, and
- 35:13Speaker 6: I felt like Jay was a little he was a
- 35:15Speaker 6: little suppressed, and I think Caleb Presley came out of
- 35:17Speaker 6: the gate early swinging on him and kind of hurt
- 35:19Speaker 6: his confidence a little bit because cal had some weird
- 35:22Speaker 6: energy coming on them.
- 35:24Speaker 4: On the.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Well, he was his body. He was like Stevie, you
- 35:29Speaker 2: a lot of bullets. He caught a lot of bullets
- 35:30Speaker 2: in the beginning. Also, Bigcat apparently plays a prank on
- 35:32Speaker 2: him every single year, but this year, yeah, this year
- 35:35Speaker 2: the prank was not pulling a prank and just telling you, hey,
- 35:37Speaker 2: good luck, You're gonna do great. And so I could
- 35:41Speaker 2: feel that after the first five picks, I was like, oh, Stephen,
- 35:43Speaker 2: she is mentally fighting the battle the shots.
- 35:46Speaker 6: I thought he did well, and dude, you earned Frank's
- 35:48Speaker 6: a little rippoort your guys, a little dynamic duo throughout
- 35:51Speaker 6: was a fun time.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember wh I gave him a hug when he
- 35:53Speaker 2: first came in the building. I looked at my my
- 35:55Speaker 2: jacket and there was a nice little rememberance package he
- 35:58Speaker 2: gave me of oil.
- 35:59Speaker 1: I was not, dude, I fucking love Frank.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Dude, he's yelling, just mad about the Mets, and all
- 36:04Speaker 2: of a sudden, you the Dolphins call you. Yeah. The
- 36:07Speaker 2: hug was nice, dude, the hug and the thing is too.
- 36:09Speaker 2: I just pull my arms out and let him come in.
- 36:12Speaker 2: His like feet kind of just shuffled over and just
- 36:14Speaker 2: gently got placed into my right pack.
- 36:15Speaker 1: It was nice.
- 36:16Speaker 6: He kind of walks like a South Park character. Yeah,
- 36:18Speaker 6: he kind of like he does.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Hey, we can't we can't sleep on wiel breaking the
- 36:23Speaker 3: v Jhon Robinson news.
- 36:24Speaker 13: Yeah, fucking man dog when that was evident, make us
- 36:30Speaker 13: do that, brother well, Coach Smith, I was like early
- 36:35Speaker 13: in the day, I was like, Hey, I'm gonna be
- 36:37Speaker 13: on the Death to Night for the Barseol Draft show,
- 36:39Speaker 13: like would love the inside, would love the inside track
- 36:41Speaker 13: whenever you know who you're getting.
- 36:42Speaker 1: He's like, I got y'all, let you break it.
- 36:44Speaker 6: And when the pick was coming up, I shot in
- 36:48Speaker 6: the eyes, was like, how you feeling? And then all
- 36:50Speaker 6: he shot me was a gift of Matthew McConaughey just
- 36:53Speaker 6: hitting the chest. But to me, I thought he was
- 36:55Speaker 6: just saying, like, the barbs are up, We're about to
- 36:57Speaker 6: have it figured it out. I'm gonna have this pic to
- 36:58Speaker 6: you in a second, not knowing that he met Matthew McConaughey,
- 37:01Speaker 6: there's your tip, Texas, Longharrens Bjeon Robinson. So then there's
- 37:07Speaker 6: a group chat. Taylor hits it and say hey, who's
- 37:09Speaker 6: it gonna be, and then I shoot the eyes. I'm like, Okay,
- 37:11Speaker 6: maybe he's gonna tell us in this chat. He's like
- 37:12Speaker 6: I told Will, but I guess he didn't want to
- 37:14Speaker 6: break it, and I'm thinking, what the fuck is he
- 37:16Speaker 6: talking about it?
- 37:16Speaker 2: And tell me that's on art, dude, He's got to
- 37:18Speaker 2: understand that sometimes sometimes you don't see that shit.
- 37:25Speaker 1: I trying to come at you, but sometimes.
- 37:27Speaker 6: You don't pick up those pieces. I'm working the phone though,
- 37:30Speaker 6: I'm thinking myself, I'm working the phone.
- 37:31Speaker 2: So funny watching everybody up bar still fucking just on
- 37:34Speaker 2: their phones trying to get the next pick.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking it too. I'm just like everybody.
- 37:38Speaker 6: I knew these boys are doing a great job filling
- 37:40Speaker 6: space right now, just talking conversation. I'm gonna get at
- 37:42Speaker 6: this pick, not knowing that Stephen Cha had already said like,
- 37:45Speaker 6: oh uh uh, Falcons are going Bjeon Robinson. And then
- 37:49Speaker 6: I put my phone down. My boys got breaking news.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Falcons are getting Bjeon Robinson. And then Brandon Walker. You guys,
- 37:56Speaker 6: you can run the clip, but Brandon Walker is just like,
- 37:59Speaker 6: where in the fuck have you been in? And then
- 38:01Speaker 6: I just kind of like, that's on me. We make
- 38:05Speaker 6: clips here.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Me and Branda Walker will fight at some point in
- 38:08Speaker 1: this life. I will say I thought he was trying
- 38:10Speaker 1: to figure it out.
- 38:11Speaker 2: He was, but I made the conscious decision to not
- 38:14Speaker 2: figure it out that yet. Yeah, I did not want
- 38:16Speaker 2: to figure our shit out that day dude. I had
- 38:19Speaker 2: a tough one too. I got the news that will
- 38:22Speaker 2: Levis was being taken by the Titans early, so I
- 38:25Speaker 2: tweeted it out, Will Levis the Titans, I said it first,
- 38:28Speaker 2: refresh it, and who's the fucking ari guy that's always
- 38:31Speaker 2: breaking the news fastest on Twitter, Alri Mirov. I refreshed
- 38:36Speaker 2: it and it was like my tweet right like above
- 38:39Speaker 2: his tweet, like they're like fifteen twenty seconds off.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Motherfucker.
- 38:43Speaker 6: That is the tip you got though, So you knew
- 38:44Speaker 6: the Titans were on the inside track with will Levis,
- 38:46Speaker 6: but when it didn't happen, you're like, okay, maybe that No,
- 38:52Speaker 6: he didn't did we even text Rabel Frame never texted me. Yeah,
- 38:55Speaker 6: he didn't text us back. He didn't text me back,
- 38:57Speaker 6: I know the day before whenever he was body bagging
- 39:00Speaker 6: me for saying like whenever I commented on the Malik
- 39:03Speaker 6: Willis like, uh, they weren't gonna do anything in the
- 39:06Speaker 6: playoffs the Titans rape text me and goes, you don't
- 39:09Speaker 6: know what mean, you haven't had in common last year,
- 39:10Speaker 6: And I was like what, he goes, neither of us
- 39:12Speaker 6: were going to do anything in the playoffs, Like God,
- 39:14Speaker 6: damn it, dude, body, and I was like, hey, I'm
- 39:17Speaker 6: on the desk some off for the barseol Draft show.
- 39:18Speaker 5: I was like, hey, you know, I need you to
- 39:20Speaker 5: make a splash play. And then he just didn't TAXI bag.
- 39:22Speaker 5: That's tough when he doesn't text me. It's always on
- 39:24Speaker 5: Rabel's terms whether or not you're gonna be friends that day.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 2: I text him the other day for that June twenty
- 39:29Speaker 2: seventh event and I was like, I want you using
- 39:30Speaker 2: the national anthem, and he goes, I got Morgan Walling
- 39:33Speaker 2: for you. Obviously he's kidding, but I told him. I
- 39:35Speaker 2: was like, I'd much rather have you than Morgan Wall. Like,
- 39:39Speaker 2: I literally lent the Olive breach. Was like, hey you
- 39:41Speaker 2: should come by though. Good group of dudes coming nothing nothing,
- 39:47Speaker 2: he's in it. Yeah, and I obviously said he was
- 39:50Speaker 2: overweight on part of my Take podcast. So that's really
- 39:52Speaker 2: gonna puts down a couple more notches. Yeah, especially listen
- 39:54Speaker 2: to it if if Rabel is on that ship. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 2: but you think he's gonna listen to the full full
- 40:00Speaker 2: hour or whatever, but you know part of what they're
- 40:01Speaker 2: gonna clip that I know if they clip and that's
- 40:04Speaker 2: where you that's what you gotta worry about. Yeah, they
- 40:05Speaker 2: clip it and tag brave. I kind of hope they
- 40:07Speaker 2: do clip it.
- 40:10Speaker 6: Maybe it'll help you remember when you were going through
- 40:12Speaker 6: that and then you're like looking over my house.
- 40:13Speaker 1: I don't know why you're looking at me.
- 40:14Speaker 5: Yeah, trying to get some fucking help from your brother.
- 40:17Speaker 5: That's what I was doing about. I tell you what.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I saved Corey Levin's career. Yeah, and he looks like
- 40:21Speaker 2: a muffein. I might have done the same for rabel Is.
- 40:23Speaker 2: Saved him from heart failure, failure, yeah, or invest disease
- 40:26Speaker 2: if he keeps fucking going. Yeah, you don't know. It's
- 40:28Speaker 2: incremental things, right.
- 40:29Speaker 6: I feel like he works his tail off. I just
- 40:31Speaker 6: think genetically it's caught up to him. Grab No, I
- 40:33Speaker 6: don't think so. I think it's a diet thing for him.
- 40:36Speaker 6: You know, gravity They kind of take your tists and
- 40:37Speaker 6: you can start sagging a little bit. I feel like
- 40:40Speaker 6: I don't think he's you know what he does. He
- 40:41Speaker 6: does a great job with the vest layering, up layering.
- 40:45Speaker 6: It starts and where it finishes. Though it's always fall
- 40:48Speaker 6: for him.
- 40:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it is always fall. Maybe like ninety five degrees
- 40:52Speaker 2: in July. I'll know it's always fall for we will
- 40:56Speaker 2: see this. Yeah, and if he does, in general, definitely
- 40:59Speaker 2: show him should hit a black I would love.
- 41:01Speaker 6: To hit a Black Tux. I think as matter of fact, JP,
- 41:03Speaker 6: he hit the Black Tucks over the weekend. Not to
- 41:06Speaker 6: get all parental.
- 41:09Speaker 2: All, let's start here on Black Tucks plus with the
- 41:11Speaker 2: boys out age.
- 41:12Speaker 6: And we had to talk. You know, the one about
- 41:13Speaker 6: that three letter ward that ends an X. You probably
- 41:16Speaker 6: experienced it a few times in your life, Not that one.
- 41:18Speaker 6: I'm talking about a tux. Tux and when you need
- 41:21Speaker 6: a tux, the the best place to get one is
- 41:24Speaker 6: the Black Tucks. They make it super easy to get
- 41:27Speaker 6: an on trend, top quality, guaranteed to fit Tucks without
- 41:29Speaker 6: ever leaving your house.
- 41:30Speaker 1: Here's how it works.
- 41:32Speaker 6: Take the Black Tucks fit quiz, pick the salue on
- 41:36Speaker 6: a rock, and boom, your tux is delivered to your
- 41:38Speaker 6: door ten days before the day you need it. There's
- 41:40Speaker 6: plenty of time to try it on and make sure
- 41:42Speaker 6: it wears well.
- 41:43Speaker 1: JP.
- 41:44Speaker 3: Can you comment, is that how this process works? That
- 41:47Speaker 3: is how the process works. And if something doesn't fit
- 41:49Speaker 3: you right, you can send it back within the three
- 41:51Speaker 3: days and they'll get it back to you within twenty

- 43:15Speaker 1: He was shocked.
- 43:16Speaker 3: He's a very like masculine, testosterone filled guy. I was
- 43:20Speaker 3: kind of prepared for him to like either push me
- 43:22Speaker 3: or punch me. Oh, but he turned around. He kind
- 43:24Speaker 3: of he reconsidered marrying his wife, and he's like, hey, man.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Hey, were you got it like that? You got them curves?
- 43:33Speaker 1: You see me show everybody else you.

- 43:44Speaker 2: was so hard not to say, yeah, Will's got them
- 43:47Speaker 2: cheeks on him.
- 43:49Speaker 6: Let's say let's not say I haven't noticed, I've noticed
- 43:51Speaker 6: you got some. You got a little bit.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Of crazy because I was absolutely casting a long ass web,
- 43:57Speaker 2: big ass web trying to get compliments from you.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Oh what you see you? You know? Well, yeah, but
- 44:02Speaker 1: you were looking for the compliment.
- 44:03Speaker 6: I would rather do it in a setting like now,
- 44:06Speaker 6: and then you get a little bit more excited versus like, hey,
- 44:08Speaker 6: what do you think about my You like Taylor's like, hey,
- 44:10Speaker 6: so what have you been thinking about my ass?
- 44:11Speaker 1: Yeah? I oh you got you got all them zins
- 44:13Speaker 1: in your back pocket. You're gonna have to move it.
- 44:14Speaker 6: It's kind of taken out from that elevation on that bottom,
- 44:17Speaker 6: that bottom row.
- 44:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. That lift.
- 44:19Speaker 5: We all love to see surgery. Dude, that does it
- 44:21Speaker 5: to you.
- 44:21Speaker 2: The best element I've gotten was in South Carolina from
- 44:23Speaker 2: Mitch unsolicited at the bar, just waiting to grab a drink,
- 44:27Speaker 2: and Mitch came up behind me and was like, hey, I'd.
- 44:29Speaker 1: Give that thing a ride. That was good, brother. I thought,
- 44:31Speaker 1: oh fuck, yeah, dude, thank you. Got when you see it,
- 44:34Speaker 1: you gotta get you gotta give a flowers. Yeah, that's right.
- 44:38Speaker 1: The normalized dudes hyping dudes. Yeah, hell yeah yeah.
- 44:41Speaker 2: Man. We're forty four minutes into this piece. Should we
- 44:43Speaker 2: do a little shout out of the week.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I would love to do we have anything else? Is
- 44:48Speaker 1: there anything else out here?
- 44:49Speaker 6: Yeah, because we love to save shout I know, free
- 44:51Speaker 6: shoutout for just a little bit of fun. And then
- 44:52Speaker 6: we kind of transition into the interview, which a big
- 44:55Speaker 6: interview by the way, big interview, super cross interview height. Yeah,
- 45:01Speaker 6: we can recap supercross, dude, Mitch, I think you're the
- 45:03Speaker 6: best person to start with this. Actually, El sir, hang on,
- 45:08Speaker 6: I'll preface to you starting it. The boys diving into
- 45:11Speaker 6: the supercross world, all Mitch, All Taylor, you guys love
- 45:14Speaker 6: fucking supercross.
- 45:16Speaker 1: For me. When they're bringing up supercross.
- 45:17Speaker 6: I'm like, you know, is they gonna I mean, I
- 45:20Speaker 6: haven't I haven't done anything in what lcross is gonna hit? Yeah,
- 45:24Speaker 6: I haven't done anything with the supercross as I used
- 45:26Speaker 6: to play what is it ATV?
- 45:27Speaker 1: Versus a TV? Hang on one at a time, boys go
- 45:31Speaker 1: ahead and Max versus ATV.
- 45:33Speaker 6: That game was fucking fire leash. But I have no
- 45:36Speaker 6: clue about the supercross world. But the boys were adamant
- 45:38Speaker 6: about doing it. So I'm fired up that we are
- 45:40Speaker 6: diving into that world this year.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Me too, Me too?
- 45:42Speaker 2: Yeah, so Will already said big big motocross fan freestyle
- 45:46Speaker 2: motocross fan, but.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Not over dirt bikes.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, that was like the first love for me,
- 45:50Speaker 2: being like, you know, I got my first dirt bike
- 45:52Speaker 2: when I was five years old. My grandpa got it
- 45:54Speaker 2: for me, had the old training wheels on it and
- 45:56Speaker 2: stuff like that. I used to remember ripping around the neighborhood.
- 45:58Speaker 5: Dude on that the coolest kid on the block, rip over,
- 46:00Speaker 5: go to people's houses, people on bicycles.
- 46:02Speaker 2: I was on that fucking motorcycle, fucking gradually going up,
- 46:05Speaker 2: got into jumping a little bit. Was I good, No,
- 46:07Speaker 2: but it would have a lot of fun doing it.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Absolutely was a massive fan of Chad Reid and Ricky
- 46:12Speaker 2: Carmichael in the supercross landscape and then obviously you know
- 46:15Speaker 2: Brian Deegan, Travis Pstrawan on those guys, and then the
- 46:18Speaker 2: freestyle motocross world was my shit. Mitch brought this to us.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I thought, hell, yeah, this is gonna be fucking awesome.
- 46:24Speaker 2: And we all know Mitch soft spoken individual, doesn't like
- 46:27Speaker 2: they really put out too much. But as we dove
- 46:30Speaker 2: into this, after we did the interviews and all that,
- 46:32Speaker 2: and we started doing the supercross Like Mitch, his brother
- 46:35Speaker 2: and his dad came with, and these guys are like,
- 46:38Speaker 2: oh that's so and so he's ranked number this, and
- 46:40Speaker 2: he's he has this many points right now.
- 46:42Speaker 1: They are fucking in SAME's.
- 46:43Speaker 6: Generational, Like his dad grew up doing dirt bikes, so
- 46:45Speaker 6: like he knew the world, he knew the generation that
- 46:48Speaker 6: were coaches in this.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Dirt bike game.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Who was the the guy we saw at Suzuki Larry Brooks,
- 46:52Speaker 2: Larry Brooks.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I was like, my dad's like Chad Reid.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that was like his fucking dude apparently like you're
- 46:58Speaker 2: Ryan Reynolds.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Like it was like that Travis Strana.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Yes, and so we see him and I guess like
- 47:04Speaker 2: you went up to him and told him.
- 47:06Speaker 8: Well no, I think the guy was like, oh, this
- 47:07Speaker 8: is Larry Brooks and and you're like, okay, he used
- 47:10Speaker 8: to ride back and the damn my dad and that's
- 47:12Speaker 8: Larry Brooks.
- 47:12Speaker 1: I don't know who it is. He lit up like
- 47:14Speaker 1: a damn player. He was fired up that he was.
- 47:18Speaker 8: He almost didn't make it, like he landed at twelve.
- 47:20Speaker 8: And because the interviews went went long, he was able
- 47:23Speaker 8: to come and meet us.
- 47:23Speaker 1: So you're welcome. Dad.
- 47:25Speaker 8: As we were walking in the door, he pulled up
- 47:27Speaker 8: and ran up. So I'm happy he was able to
- 47:28Speaker 8: make it.
- 47:29Speaker 2: He was a kid in the case all of them. Dude,
- 47:31Speaker 2: we got to walk on the track, go through it.
- 47:33Speaker 2: They're talking about how they go through like when they
- 47:35Speaker 2: do a track walk, they don't get eight minutes to
- 47:37Speaker 2: warm up before racing and they don't ride it before,
- 47:40Speaker 2: so they're like literally trying to figure out, Okay, I
- 47:41Speaker 2: can double this, triple this, I have to bounce off this,
- 47:43Speaker 2: all that different stuff like working through the process. And
- 47:46Speaker 2: those dudes' injuries are crazy, Like who's what's the buddy
- 47:49Speaker 2: who had the arm rocks and yeah, that's who you
- 47:52Speaker 2: guys coming on coming on today? He fucking compound fracture?
- 47:56Speaker 2: What is his wrist and his elbow? Like a career ender.
- 47:59Speaker 2: Dude done and he this interview is incredible, so he
- 48:02Speaker 2: goes into like the mindset and all that stuff. Two
- 48:05Speaker 2: completely different interviews we did, completely different One was like
- 48:08Speaker 2: definitely revolved around like the mental game and getting your
- 48:12Speaker 2: body right and all that, and the other one was like,
- 48:14Speaker 2: I mean our boy, yeah track snacks, which we gotta
- 48:17Speaker 2: make a hat.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hilarious.
- 48:21Speaker 5: Moto Mitch Well from all that shit, what was like
- 48:25Speaker 5: your favorite your favorite part?
- 48:27Speaker 8: My favorite part was Saturday being able to fu I know, dude,
- 48:30Speaker 8: Like I was able to go on the track, uh,
- 48:33Speaker 8: and like you could feel the engines, Like as the
- 48:36Speaker 8: start was like about it happened, my heart race started
- 48:38Speaker 8: getting up, like I was getting juiced up for it,
- 48:40Speaker 8: and like seeing them on TV and seeing them in person,
- 48:43Speaker 8: like on the track, they are so much faster than
- 48:46Speaker 8: what you like ever believed. And then like like I've
- 48:49Speaker 8: always grown up going to like my dad and brothers
- 48:51Speaker 8: races and like their amateurs they're not like anything crazy,
- 48:55Speaker 8: but you see like the pros doing it, and like
- 48:58Speaker 8: being on the floor with them was absolutely insane. But
- 49:01Speaker 8: like I was telling G like I I enjoyed this
- 49:05Speaker 8: more than like the football stuff we've done, Like when
- 49:08Speaker 8: we went to not the nota Sing, I didn't like
- 49:10Speaker 8: the football, but like.
- 49:11Speaker 1: This, you have a love for fucking supercross exact. It
- 49:14Speaker 1: was Supercross is hiring, it was it was just it
- 49:18Speaker 1: was just really cool. It was a really cool experience.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome. Had a good time. I was so
- 49:22Speaker 2: bummed I missed Saturday, dude. I woke up in the
- 49:25Speaker 2: middle of the night Friday, massive fever, dying dude. And
- 49:30Speaker 2: then the next day when or that evening also wind
- 49:32Speaker 2: went down to so I was heartbroken.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I couldn't make it mm hmm.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Out of all the peoples around, I don't know if
- 49:41Speaker 2: it was you that got me sick.
- 49:44Speaker 1: I would love to Yeah, I agree, I agree. Yeah,
- 49:49Speaker 1: it was a great throwing catch. Anything that's good for them.
- 49:53Speaker 1: None of the boys in the bag. No, do you
- 49:56Speaker 1: all right? Mitch?
- 49:57Speaker 6: Yeah, but I'll tell you what. You put a single
- 49:59Speaker 6: germ around the wan, Dude, that's fucking mental warfare.
- 50:04Speaker 1: War going on. I know, that's so weird, Like what
- 50:08Speaker 1: the fuck? I used to never get sick?
- 50:10Speaker 2: You know it is those damn five year olds, Chris,
- 50:11Speaker 2: you know, dude, the five year old kids, they just
- 50:15Speaker 2: get sick all the time and they dust your family.
- 50:17Speaker 1: I used to never get sick.
- 50:18Speaker 2: It was probably not sick ones in college and I
- 50:20Speaker 2: did everything I could to get sick, but I never did. Yeah,
- 50:24Speaker 2: never did, dude. Anyway, we go from here for shadow. Yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 2: did you guys ride on the track.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Uh No, it's too money, but we made we made
- 50:33Speaker 1: Mitch do it.
- 50:33Speaker 2: And they're like, he's he's gonna fall he'll fall for sure,
- 50:35Speaker 2: all right, get him out there. Mitch went down and back.
- 50:38Speaker 2: No problem. There's a little bit of a problem, a
- 50:42Speaker 2: couple of hairy situations, but.
- 50:43Speaker 6: Overall they the writers were like, uh, you guys, you
- 50:47Speaker 6: guys are gonna struggle, like you guys are gonna fall down.
- 50:49Speaker 6: Like the conditions right now are not are not good.
- 50:52Speaker 1: And I went out there.
- 50:52Speaker 8: They were like, we're impressed, and I'm like saying, there,
- 50:56Speaker 8: I impressed pro motocross guys.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Pretty cool, yeah, pretty Yeah, Well we saw that smile.
- 51:02Speaker 1: He was fired up. He was just making fun of
- 51:04Speaker 1: my head and not being able to find a helmet
- 51:06Speaker 1: fit or anything.
- 51:07Speaker 2: He really he's really playing into that jy quite a bit,
- 51:09Speaker 2: isn't it. Not to say I haven't joined in also,
- 51:11Speaker 2: but like it was definitely bearing that care.
- 51:13Speaker 6: You have to have gotten it from your mom because
- 51:15Speaker 6: your dad really doesn't have that big of a head.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I think probably.
- 51:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't got the nogging dude, No shots. I
- 51:25Speaker 6: love your mom, dude, I know your whole family. They're
- 51:26Speaker 6: they're a fan of the bus. So just a little
- 51:29Speaker 6: just a little busting balls mom.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Yeah. But his brother had the same thing going on. Yeah,
- 51:33Speaker 1: brother had a fat head.
- 51:38Speaker 2: It didn't say a whole lot too, really kept to himself.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Did they enjoy themselves? Were they think of the bus
- 51:43Speaker 2: and everything?
- 51:43Speaker 1: They thought it was really cool, all right?
- 51:45Speaker 8: They just I can't believe this is where you work,
- 51:47Speaker 8: like just gratty back there on the little tables and everything.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, what a fucked up establishment we have here. Yeah.
- 51:53Speaker 6: I think it's cool too that you like love Supercross,
- 51:55Speaker 6: that you love a sport that's not like the the
- 51:58Speaker 6: most recognizable spa.
- 52:01Speaker 1: It's like growing in popularity.
- 52:02Speaker 8: But like, I what, uh you made a comment like
- 52:05Speaker 8: you guys should do like an F one thing. I
- 52:08Speaker 8: think that would be huge. I know it's like not
- 52:10Speaker 8: as big as one or anything, but he'd like but if.
- 52:14Speaker 6: One, they're Their popularity has grown like fucking ten x
- 52:17Speaker 6: from just that little docuseries they made on Netflix.
- 52:20Speaker 1: I mean they're doing it now with golf.
- 52:21Speaker 6: The quarter of the QB or a quarterback is coming
- 52:23Speaker 6: out where they're falling around the homes. I think Marcus
- 52:27Speaker 6: Mariota and one other Gino.
- 52:30Speaker 3: N I think there's another solid dude. He said nothing,
- 52:35Speaker 3: It was a little more. You know, Gino is a beast.
- 52:43Speaker 8: Anyways, those ones all have like massive, like you should
- 52:45Speaker 8: have known a lot of money in it.
- 52:47Speaker 6: I should have. Now that I see it, I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 52:48Speaker 6: that's right. Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota. But they're
- 52:52Speaker 6: doing all these little docutions. I think it'd be sick
- 52:54Speaker 6: if you're trying to grow the sport. I think that's
- 52:56Speaker 6: a move on support that needs attention is get them docuseries.
- 52:58Speaker 8: Though the Supercross doesn't have his much money as all
- 53:00Speaker 8: those sports, so I think that's probably where they are
- 53:03Speaker 8: not able to do that and capitalize on it. But
- 53:05Speaker 8: I think it would look it would be super Yeah, that.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Would be dope.
- 53:10Speaker 5: Before we do tear tear talk or shout out no
- 53:13Speaker 5: for shadow, are we doing teer talk as well? I
- 53:14Speaker 5: saw that in the docket.

- 53:24Speaker 2: silence for ten minutes if I wanted to. How dope
- 53:29Speaker 2: is it?
- 53:29Speaker 1: Huh? Boys? How do you guys feel about this whole experience? Yeah?
- 53:33Speaker 1: You like it. How ridiculous is this? This is our job? Yeah,
- 53:37Speaker 1: talking the thing? Oh oh ron Oh yeah, it's unreal.
- 53:41Speaker 12: I just yeah, you see the pictures of the bus,
- 53:43Speaker 12: but to put it in real life, it's pretty cool.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's fucking aweso authentic and shipcause all this literally
- 53:49Speaker 2: came with it too, all the stickers and all that,
- 53:51Speaker 2: and the ones that are at the purple on it.
- 53:53Speaker 1: That's all racist ship that we had to take off.
- 53:57Speaker 5: But anyway, what a good pivot into do canon?
- 54:00Speaker 1: Dude?

- 54:19Speaker 2: thick body wash and their big ass brick of soap.
- 54:22Speaker 2: May Personally, I always go with that. The anti persperant deodorant,
- 54:25Speaker 2: I can't really don't. I don't know what the difference is.
- 54:26Speaker 2: I really have no idea what the difference is, but
- 54:28Speaker 2: I know you put it on your your armpits. The
- 54:30Speaker 2: cool dry is telling the Chris Is before you on

- 55:31Speaker 2: bunch of week out.
- 55:31Speaker 5: The people are fucking with us big time, and that
- 55:35Speaker 5: is a nice feeling. That is a nice feeling to

- 55:57Speaker 2: really close to me at one point, and we used
- 55:59Speaker 2: to play pooped all all together, all together, all the time.
- 56:02Speaker 5: Words today, it's a tough ye out here.
- 56:04Speaker 1: We played We played too much poop dollar, Yeah, way
- 56:07Speaker 1: too much, but always in the same way, same street.
- 56:10Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know how these people didn't figure
- 56:11Speaker 1: it out. Yeah.
- 56:12Speaker 14: Do you think after a while they'd get it? I
- 56:14Speaker 14: mean the tenth time it was like the same dollar,
- 56:15Speaker 14: we just reusing the same time, and then all of
- 56:17Speaker 14: a sudden some homeless guy would come by and pick
- 56:19Speaker 14: it up. I got a call from a couple of
- 56:21Speaker 14: offensive linemen at Michigan. I wasn't gonna say off with them.
- 56:23Speaker 14: Here we are They called me when I was in Vegas, like, hey,
- 56:25Speaker 14: how do you play poop dollar? Because they were gonna play,
- 56:27Speaker 14: and apparently they did. I had fun times getting after
- 56:30Speaker 14: that thing. The best one we ever did was at
- 56:32Speaker 14: my bachelor party though. That was all time. Yeah dude,
- 56:35Speaker 14: it was expensive though. It was expensive doll and it
- 56:38Speaker 14: ended pretty quickly, didn't it. Oh yeah, yeah home a
- 56:40Speaker 14: lot of homeless in Austin, A lot of homeless homeless
- 56:44Speaker 14: out there.
- 56:44Speaker 12: Sat the guy well yeah, the one guy got pit,
- 56:48Speaker 12: the one guy got pissed.
- 56:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and he was he was.
- 56:51Speaker 12: With his girlfriend or somebody's trying to press and we're.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Like fuck you.
- 56:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and a couple of beers deep dude having
- 56:57Speaker 2: a good time watch people pick up ship.
- 56:58Speaker 12: The third guy just pocket it and flicked us off
- 57:01Speaker 12: and we applauded him.
- 57:02Speaker 1: Yeah, stood up. And a plot that was you do that.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Now you get shot up here in the states, brother,
- 57:07Speaker 2: shit a little wild out here again.
- 57:09Speaker 4: It was an expensive pood dollars, a hundred dollars, so yeah,
- 57:12Speaker 4: I think I would even pocket a poo hundred dollars.
- 57:17Speaker 1: That's a real deal. It was awesome.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Ah, is there anything you want to get into before
- 57:22Speaker 2: we hit this episode.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I don't think so buy our merchandise, please God do that.
- 57:28Speaker 2: We had a nice little uh, we had a nice
- 57:31Speaker 2: little thing come out of me giving birth to Mitch
- 57:34Speaker 2: and Will receiving a hat. Shout out Jack, dude, let's
- 57:37Speaker 2: get Jack around of applause real quick. Very impressive. That
- 57:40Speaker 2: beautiful brain. It's angry right now. This is the Titians draft.
- 57:43Speaker 2: But he's fucking it is a beautiful brain. A compliment
- 57:46Speaker 2: at eighth and roast, No for shout us eighth and
- 57:48Speaker 2: roast and uh. But he was like, I just got
- 57:51Speaker 2: done watching your guys' fucking merchandise video where you guys
- 57:54Speaker 2: are giving given birth to a baby. And he was
- 57:58Speaker 2: like that was creative. I was laughing my ass off
- 58:00Speaker 2: right before I came in here. It was like, oh
- 58:01Speaker 2: that fires me up. Yeah, And you had literally that
- 58:04Speaker 2: wasn't even your best idea that you have in the roster. Y.
- 58:07Speaker 1: We gotta come. We got some good ones coming.
- 58:09Speaker 5: Up, and you're going to break the mold for advertising.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Yeah, we're doing it.
- 58:13Speaker 2: I mean, if that's me giving birth to Mitch, pulling
- 58:16Speaker 2: that head out of my uterus, and Will being careless
- 58:20Speaker 2: with his nut and receiving that that hat doesn't sell.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I mean, what are we doing?
- 58:25Speaker 6: Boys, We're trying and Jack's like, yeah, we've got to
- 58:27Speaker 6: be the best at barstool for doing these fucking.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Weekly Don't say too loud, don't say we don't want people.
- 58:32Speaker 1: We're competing.
- 58:33Speaker 2: We're at their competing, Like competitions are ways when people
- 58:35Speaker 2: don't know they're competing.
- 58:38Speaker 1: I just want to put it out there that we're
- 58:39Speaker 1: we're aware, and we are coming. We're here. I think
- 58:42Speaker 1: we might be number one. And it's Louis.
- 58:45Speaker 2: I don't know if we should even talk about Dion,
- 58:47Speaker 2: but all those dudes transferring away coming back all that.
- 58:50Speaker 1: He's open about it.
- 58:51Speaker 6: He's like, you buy a new house, you want to
- 58:52Speaker 6: you want to decorate with new furniture, you gotta get
- 58:54Speaker 6: the old furniture out.
- 58:55Speaker 2: He talked crazy about those damn kids. What you got, brother?
- 59:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Like he's.
- 59:01Speaker 6: Trying to build a program, he's trying to build culture.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Weed out the guys. Who are you know who don't
- 59:06Speaker 6: want to be there?
- 59:06Speaker 1: What do you think? Uh?
- 59:07Speaker 2: I do you think they're gonna do? I think they'll
- 59:10Speaker 2: do so. I think they're gonna surprise people. That's what
- 59:12Speaker 2: I think I think they're gonna surprise people.
- 59:13Speaker 6: I think until Dion has a actual down year, an
- 59:17Speaker 6: unsuccessful year, I think right, so far, he's proved every spot,
- 59:21Speaker 6: He's proved each year that he can fucking he can
- 59:24Speaker 6: do this thing. Did you know what I'm saying? They'll
- 59:27Speaker 6: wait for raid of some day coming on our show.
- 59:29Speaker 6: Do you know what I'm saying? Do you feel well?
- 59:31Speaker 6: How do you feel about it?
- 59:34Speaker 1: Yeah? The first year is always so tough.
- 59:35Speaker 2: You see, if all those new guys coming in, old
- 59:37Speaker 2: guys leaving, how is the locker room really feels? So
- 59:39Speaker 2: you kind of wonder, like how everything's gelling. I wonder
- 59:42Speaker 2: if there's like a.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Kind of like a.
- 59:47Speaker 2: How I don't know how the guys that are coming
- 59:49Speaker 2: in feel, knowing the way the ways talks about them
- 59:52Speaker 2: being Louis and all that, and then the old guys
- 59:53Speaker 2: if they kind of feel some type of way that
- 59:55Speaker 2: these new guys and that could cause a divide in
- 59:57Speaker 2: the locker room.
- 59:57Speaker 1: There's a lot of dudes.
- 59:58Speaker 2: College football is one hundred and twenty people, right, so
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: there's a lot of different personalities to kind of come together.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I wonder how that camp's gonna look. Camp's when we're
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: really gonna figure it out. Yeah, if you've got a
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: squad or not.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: Feel like he does nothing but drop gyms and like
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: he the way he speaks, like I sometimes like I
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: can see how people see that it's it's it's arrogant
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: and pompous, and but I feel like he's always came
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: onto the scene and it's always made some people a
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: little uncomfortable, whether it's coming in to play football, whether
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: it's playing baseball and football at the same time and
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: hitting a home running then going and playing a game
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: the next day, like getting into the coaching scene, even
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: in media, going to Barstool Sports, Jackson State, all the
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: stuff he's.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Saying and then jumping to Colorado.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Every move he's made, he's been successful, and I feel
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: like he's always again, he's always got a lot of
- 1:00:42Speaker 6: like philosophy that he shares along the way on why
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: he does what he does, and people are just gonna
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: have to wait and see it for it to be true.
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: And I think this is gonna be I think it's
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: gonna be maybe something similar. I don't know if they're
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: gonna be as successful as he was the Jackson State
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: right out of the gate, because you're now playing Division
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: one football and the competition is higher. Yeah, and you're
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: starting at a place like Colorado, Like, no disrespect, but
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: there's a reason, like thirty something guys are shuffling out
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: of there like they're a shitty fucking team, shty team,
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: and uh, but I'm excited to see how it goes, man,
- 1:01:08Speaker 6: because I think it'll be cool, like if he like
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: just climb and climbs the ranks and does it his
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: way like he has in every situation in his career.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: You saw their spring game, right, the attendance, Yeah, wild, insane,
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: So you gotta make How does it make you feel
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: Nebraska plays them the first game of the year, right,
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: second game, second game.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: It's gonna be mostly red?
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: You think, So it's gonna be a fuck load of red, man,
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: I think, uh that, I think that fan base. I
- 1:01:29Speaker 6: think Colorado is already seeing them, being like, oh, this
- 1:01:33Speaker 6: is our best hire we've had and maybe ever, I
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: don't want to disrespect any coach out there that's been there,
- 1:01:38Speaker 6: been successful, but yeah, I mean turning it around and
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: people are showing up like that, and people seem to
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: fuck with Dion like I think he's gonna win a
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: lot of football games there. It won't be against Nebraska,
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: but I think he's gonna win a lot of football games.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Do you think they'll be one in one after week two? Yeah?
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: I don't know who who do they play first? They
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: could be oh and two TCU, they're gonna be oh
- 1:01:55Speaker 6: and two. They're gonna start out oh and two. But
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: I'm rooting for looking pull them for Dion like I
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: am pulling for Dion. Pc U going one in three
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: loss Colorado, Yeah, Colorado State, dub Oregon lost loss one
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: and three, USC lost one and four Colorado Rizona State.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Now, that's gonna be a good game. That's gonna be
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: a good game. Good game. Ooh, lost was one and five,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: one in.
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: Five, going to get Stanford. I think you beat Stanford. Okay,
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: you surprised, you see LA. I think this where they
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: start coming around this way, they start coming around when
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: it's three and five Oregon five.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Oregon State tough, but I'll say dub.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Okay four and five, Arizona five and five, Okay, Washington.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: State at Washington State. I think they drop a game.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: There, Okay, five and six, the Utah loss five and seven.
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're if you're Colorado. Listening to this right now,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: Will's prediction, you should be hype. You guys are probably
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: gonna go undefeated based off him what he did to
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Kansas City.
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: Last here he will single handedly got Kansas City a
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: super Bowl?
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: Right now, Hang on a second, how do you personally
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: feel JP hearing me talk about it, Like, are you
- 1:03:09Speaker 6: part of the fan base, Like you're like, oh damn,
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: coloriad was gonna win a lot.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: Are you're like, oh my man, he's he's probably onto something.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: I think Colorado is gonna go to a bowl game,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: but I think it's that's one more game. I think
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: that's one of the things that if they're six and six,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: they're going bowling. Yeah.
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: I feel like the way you were just speaking about Dion,
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: I felt it was more like he's gonna come in
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: and succeed just how he succeeded and everything else.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but again, that can be losing close games. What
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: was the record last year? It was abysmal? Right, Yeah,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: they won like one or two games. If you win
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: five games, that's a success.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: I think they're gonna beat TCU. What I think TCU
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: is gonna fall off?
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: I hope so they deserve it. After what they did
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: to us in the playoffs.
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: I hope they beat TCU because that's gonna make our
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: win look better.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Week two, Bro, I'll say this, I'll agree with you all.
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: Say a six win season, they'll go to a bowl game,
- 1:03:54Speaker 6: and the majority of their losses I think will be
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: close games where it's like, yeah, okay, we went six
- 1:03:59Speaker 6: and six or maybe had a losing season. But if
- 1:04:01Speaker 6: you look the losses like they're fucking trending in the
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: right direction. I was saying all that stuff, and without
- 1:04:06Speaker 6: seeing the schedule, and they've seen the EPA.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: They got a halfty one.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Dude, PC to you though, dropping off makes us feel
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: a whole lot better. Yeah, because if we're speaking, we're
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: not being biased at all. I mean, they could easily
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: be two and o right, just based off how bra
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: like how Nebraska's been.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Brother.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: I'm just letting you know, Colorado State, now you could
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: be three and o Oregon, like you just said.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: The most disrespectful I think you know.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: I know how you are about Nebraska, brother, and it's
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: like I want to be there to support you, but
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: sometimes we're gonna look for your clear lens.
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: But you also need to understand that I know that
- 1:04:40Speaker 6: this is the hill, like I'll stand.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Up, yeah and absolutely in a way of like what
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: you're saying, you'll die.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: On that hill.
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: It's like, I don't want to just catch bullets from
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: you for no reason.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: So I'm like, hey, let them live. Just letting Nebraska live.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Brother, you said what dude, all of a sudden, I'm
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: getting wrestled again right the fucking hand thing. Listen anyway,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: that's our episode, dude. While I'm seeing a guy, yeah,

- 1:05:36Speaker 3: my favorite inventions of all time, and that is blackout
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: curtains and just we were at the hotel this weekend
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: and just not knowing what time it is in the
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: morning is one of the best feelings ever. And I
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: hope to own blackout curtains in my house one day.

- 1:07:55Speaker 8: wanted was super cool.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: I mean, he was gonna get you two on bikes.
- 1:07:58Speaker 8: Unfortunately the weather wasn't permitting, but he like would just
- 1:08:02Speaker 8: walk around with me and Hey, you want to go

- 1:08:30Speaker 8: all right, we'll make that happen. You could just you
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: could ask like to meet anybody, and this dude was like,
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: all right, let's go.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll make And who was.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: The guy that was a fan of the podcast, Christian Craig.
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: Dude, some dude who had an elbow brace. Oh out
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: that fucking fired us up too.
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, you don't know who Brian Degan is Girt.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Brian Deagan first got to Everlana three sixty two thousand
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: and three X Games. Here does a three sixty lands
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: The bike lands on like a side dirt pitt and
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: he just stick sticks it right there, bouns it fire.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: He's part of Meta Militia. M hm, you gotta know that.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Ship, bro.
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: You ever see nitrous Circus? See, Hey, I just took
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: as rips too.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: My shout out, no for shoutout is going to go
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: to something.
- 1:09:10Speaker 7: I feel like we haven't experienced in Nashville in a while,
- 1:09:14Speaker 7: But it feels like we're actually experiencing a spring right now.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: We're a weekends in the morning, cold at night. Can't
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: beat it. Shout out to the weather.
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: I will tip my cap to that, because I do
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: believe there's only six weeks a year you get out
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: of it.
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Three in the fall, three in the spring.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Right now, we're about ten days into it and it's
- 1:09:32Speaker 2: been immaculate. We're literally on week three right though. Maybe
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: we're on week three right now, maybe now because you
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: were gone. I was gone for a week, so you left. Yeah,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: we're on week three. You're right, You're right, the three weeks.
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: That's how it's been for the decade I've been here.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: Enjoy this last week. Yeah, so hopefully we'll see what
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: the weather is actually.
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: This coming week before the week before last week, man,
- 1:10:03Speaker 6: it was rocking talking seventies.
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: Starting Friday, it rains five out of six days and
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: it gets into the eighties on Friday on Friday, starting Friday,
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: So three weeks, boys, we're.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Gonna hope those are the afternoon showers. Let's hope.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they will be, they will be. It will
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: be all right now that we're done making fun of
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: my voice or whatever. But why do you guys keep
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: repeating that ship? Because now I know it is AH.
- 1:10:36Speaker 6: And I don't know how, I don't know if I
- 1:10:37Speaker 6: I don't think, I don't know if I want to
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: take the hater route on it, because sometimes it hits
- 1:10:40Speaker 6: my ear drums a little, like why do you do that?
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: I kind of like, I think I did it as
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: a joke at first, and now it's kind of like
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: a thing that just kind of happened to me, kind
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: of like Brian Kelly doing his Southern accent l s U.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, good, all.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: Right, Percy, guys, give us your shout out.
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: No free shout out.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: All right, My shout out, no free shout out is
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: to the people who dominate the middle seat on an airplane,
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: both arm rests and with the knee in the front
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: when someone tries to recline. That is just that is
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: an absolute no. So you get that knee in there
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: and they're just not moving right. Yeah, and then you
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: dominate the middle seat with the arms. That's just you
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: have to if you're gonna be stuck in the middle seat.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: You got a serve dominance.
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: That is an impressive shoutout, no free shoutout for your
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: first one.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: That's very good. Happy to be here, Thank you. That
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: was good. You've done a good job. Solid Chris too. Yeah.
- 1:11:39Speaker 12: My shout out, no free shout out is uh Uber
- 1:11:42Speaker 12: drivers that give a fuck. Okay, we landed and we
- 1:11:45Speaker 12: got a guy. I think we might have gotten in
- 1:11:47Speaker 12: the wrong car. It was like we got a six seater.
- 1:11:50Speaker 12: We had all the ship in the back. Still, Yeah,
- 1:11:51Speaker 12: we couldn't. We had to get two ubers. It just reaked.
- 1:11:54Speaker 12: But the last two hours we've had have been phenomenal.
- 1:11:57Speaker 12: And so yeah, like good smell, clean car makes all
- 1:12:01Speaker 12: the difference in the.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: World they give a fuck about. They give a yeah,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: the experience.
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: Man their professional and then delivering a service they care. Yeah,
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: it just makes strong shout outs by the Chris Boys. Yeah,
- 1:12:13Speaker 6: strong shoutouts by the Chris Boys. All right, Willie, what
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: you got for us? My shout out, no free shoutout
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: goes to Daddy Daughter Days. My wife was out of
- 1:12:23Speaker 6: town over the weekend. She was in Chicago, so it was, uh,
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: it was myself and Rue all weekend and just nothing.
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: There's just nothing better than like growing that relationship with
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: your daughter to where they're like fuck with you, to
- 1:12:34Speaker 6: where you're like their friend at the end of the weekend.
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: Even when Mom, so I'm like this morning we went
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: to the coffee shop and everything.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Else, and she's be like did that.
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I come over and like lean on meself And
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: I was like, yo, I fucking funk with her.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Bro.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: But yeah, my shot out, no free shodow goes to
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: uh Daddy daughter days or sometimes.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: The mom get selfish, they do, Yeah, they take away.
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: I think Troe was fired up for me because she's like,
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: you know, because sometimes like fired everyone was like a hey,
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: good for you. Now He's like, babe, look she's saying
- 1:13:01Speaker 6: you should look. She's like reaching across and should be
- 1:13:03Speaker 6: like whisperings way. Hell yeah, and it just it just
- 1:13:06Speaker 6: fires me out. You just go and grab her little cheeks.
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: But yeah, that's my shoutout man daddy daughter weekends.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, dude, that's all time. That's a good one.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: Uh my shadow, no free shoutow is going to go
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: to When you go to a restaurant and it's not
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: a nice restaurant, but the condiments on the table include
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: more than just ketchup and mustard. You got a fucking
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: ranch on there, maybe some barbecue sauce as well.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: Who got ranch? Show? Who's got ranch? Out there?
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: We go, We went to that burger spot like three
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: weeks ago.
- 1:13:34Speaker 10: I said, keep that in the fridge at least ranch barbecue.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Brother, they put them little things out in the bottles.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: You fucking put that thing down there. You don't got
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: to ask for the ranch of the barbecue sauce. Especially
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: when you go to a place like Zips. You say, hey,
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: can we get some extra ranch, and they say how
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: many ranches do you want? You literally have to look
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: at them in the eyes and say five. Like it's
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: an uncomfortable feeling damn.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Shu.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: But Will and I like had to be like three
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: months ago now went to that burger spot that everyone
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: was saying was amazing. We pulled in there a bunch
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: of Titan fans in there and they're like, Davis our
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: meal for free, but you had all the condiments and
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: the ranch and everything kind of waiting for us. So
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: it was solid, dude. So my shout out, no free
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Shadow goes to a diverse You guys what we got
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: going on. They've been doing that all podcasts, Jack and JP.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: We have to separate them in the next class.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: I do have to throw in another like you got out.
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: I mean, it's just like when Taylor was looking over
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: at you, the microphone is just at his eye and
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: that's always said.
- 1:14:34Speaker 5: Yeah dude, yeah, normalized dudes, typing dudes.
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: I gotta throw in one more little shout out. Jack
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: and I went to the Sounds game, So shout out
- 1:14:43Speaker 7: to Nick who got us our tickets for free.
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: Dude.
- 1:14:46Speaker 10: Literally, our boy was buying his tickets to go meet
- 1:14:48Speaker 10: us around the corner and then a guy come out
- 1:14:50Speaker 10: and he goes, dude, tickets are free.
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: We love the pod and.
- 1:14:52Speaker 10: We're like, oh shit, you know, all of a sudden,

- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I think it's no a.
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: Yeah, shout out to Nicholas with the sounds all the time.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, dude, we gotta get out to a sounds game
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: as a group. We went. It's so much fun out
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: there that the sounds really do it the right way.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Yeah they do, Yeah, they do well.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: Both With that being said, please enjoy this episode of
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: busting with the boys, and like we talked about before,
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: by the fucking march, dude, we need this.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: Can we introduce the boy a little bit? Can we
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: pull up?
- 1:15:31Speaker 6: Uh, Mitch, go ahead, grab the microphone, introduce the boy
- 1:15:33Speaker 6: we're about to get because you obviously, you know, you
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: stay rocked up over the boys of Supercross.
- 1:15:38Speaker 8: And who in our interview today is Ken Roxon. He
- 1:15:41Speaker 8: is number ninety four Supercross Rise for Suzuki.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: He talks about like his mindset super super big into
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: like how he prepares for the races and everything.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: Uh. He talks about what Taylor touched on. Very focused individual,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Yeah for sure. Uh.
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: And then he talks about like his almost career ending
- 1:15:58Speaker 8: injury and how like what the battle was like coming
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: back from that super serious guy. I have a couple
- 1:16:05Speaker 8: of laughs, but.
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's an overall a very informative pod. We talk
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: a lot about mindset and recovery stuff. He also grew
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: up in Germany till he was about fourteen or fifteen
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: years old and went down to Florida and his process,
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: how he trains, where he trains, and just like incrementally
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: like he teaches us a lot about the process of
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: becoming a young little dirt bike rider to a professional
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: at the one percent of the one percent of running
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: dirt bike. So it's a very cool informative podcast. I
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: hope everybody enjoys. As always, big hugs and tiny.
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: And before we go tomorrow, we're dropping a bonus episode

- 1:19:16Speaker 3: twenty percent off at Georgia boots dot com.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: Back to the episode, we're rolling right now, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: Welcome to another another episode of Busting with the Boys.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: My name is till One.
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: My guest today is the electric Ken Roxon And they
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: say that right, Ken Roxton.
- 1:19:31Speaker 5: Yeah that's right, dude.
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: So my thirteen year old self will be nutting his
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: pants right now because growing up, when I was five
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: years old, my grandpa got me a little PW fifty
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: and I was obsessed with dirt bikes from the get going.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: We were kind of talking about it before, but I
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: always like to wait till we're on the mics because
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: if I start retelling the same story, it doesn't have
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: the same feel, the same posazz to me. And so
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: you know, I'm five years old, I get a dirt bike,
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: I start falling into the Travis Pastranos, the Brian Degans,
- 1:19:58Speaker 2: the first three sixty happened. Then then I go to
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: like Supercross and Arizona and I'm watching Chattered and Rickey
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: Carmichael like. So it's an absolute honor to have you
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: on this show. When the boys are over here, we
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: got on the zoom, they were telling me you're a
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: fan favorite, you get after it, You're a fun personality.
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: So I'm an electrostack to have you on here today,
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: it's gonna be amazing.
- 1:20:17Speaker 9: Well, I appreciate, and you know, as you know, it's
- 1:20:19Speaker 9: so easy to fall in love with the sport, right
- 1:20:21Speaker 9: or anything anything with wheels, at least.
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: That's what it is for me.
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: I mean, actually I had the luxury of growing up
- 1:20:26Speaker 9: with a track right on my property, so it was
- 1:20:28Speaker 9: you know, my dad had a team and they did
- 1:20:31Speaker 9: it all just for fun, right, But I had the
- 1:20:33Speaker 9: luxury of going out my back door, jumping on a
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: bike and going and I think you know, I went
- 1:20:37Speaker 9: through an entire freaking canister of gas when I was
- 1:20:40Speaker 9: at a young age, not because my dad wanted me to,
- 1:20:42Speaker 9: but I just had the freedom to do whatever, and
- 1:20:44Speaker 9: especially as a kid, like you can just can kind
- 1:20:46Speaker 9: of just do whatever you want out of property, Like
- 1:20:47Speaker 9: that's that's pretty bad ass.
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: So basically being you were born into the sport, like
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: you you woke up out of your mom's womb, boom,
- 1:20:55Speaker 5: you're there, and your dad's like, I already got a
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: track ready for you to ready to go, Like when
- 1:20:57Speaker 5: did you realize, like, hey, I'm all about wheels, I'm
- 1:21:00Speaker 5: all about racing.
- 1:21:01Speaker 9: Yeah, So most people actually don't know as I don't
- 1:21:04Speaker 9: really have an accent, but I was. Actually I'm German,
- 1:21:06Speaker 9: like full German. Was born in Germany and lived. Yeah,
- 1:21:09Speaker 9: so I moved to the US when I was like sixteen.
- 1:21:12Speaker 9: Seventeen was my first year and I've been here ever since.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: That was my like, I pretty much had my entire
- 1:21:17Speaker 9: adult life in the US. Like I bought my first house.
- 1:21:20Speaker 9: Granted I lived in my own house because on the
- 1:21:21Speaker 9: property we had a we had another building, so I
- 1:21:23Speaker 9: kind of had.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: The like compound at the house.
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: Huh yeah, yeah, so it was a full compound.
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: My dad, my parents had a house, I had my house,
- 1:21:29Speaker 9: and we had the track in the backyard in Germany
- 1:21:31Speaker 9: on a property. But yeah, I had my first drive
- 1:21:34Speaker 9: my driver's license here because in Germany had to be
- 1:21:36Speaker 9: eighteen have a driver's license. So my entire adult live
- 1:21:39Speaker 9: of buying houses and kind of you know, kickstarting that
- 1:21:42Speaker 9: is uh has been in the US. So I feel
- 1:21:45Speaker 9: very Americanized, you know, Yeah, I really have to say that.
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: And I even struggle with speaking German sometimes, you know,
- 1:21:50Speaker 9: when I'm not around it the whole time. My parents
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: have been over a lot more often lately, so then
- 1:21:54Speaker 9: it comes easier. But for a while, I wasn't because
- 1:21:56Speaker 9: we're wide open January through I mean now it'd be September,
- 1:21:59Speaker 9: you know, so we're wide open. I don't really have
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: much time to you know, get back home and kind
- 1:22:04Speaker 9: of hang out there. So for a while I didn't
- 1:22:05Speaker 9: go back, and everything felt super foreign, and which is
- 1:22:08Speaker 9: weird to think about when you've lived where you were
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: born for sixteen seventeen years and then down the road
- 1:22:13Speaker 9: you come back and that feels foreign to you.
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: Is a wild feeling when.
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: You're in when you grew up in Germany and now
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: you're in the United States, Like what was going to
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: the United States? What was like the biggest culture shock
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: for you seeing the difference between Europe and then obviously
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: the United States.
- 1:22:26Speaker 9: Well, so the good thing was that at an early age,
- 1:22:28Speaker 9: So I raced my first race when I was three,
- 1:22:31Speaker 9: which is everything for me happened super early, Like most
- 1:22:34Speaker 9: most writers start four or five, six right around there,
- 1:22:37Speaker 9: but everything was super early for me. So I started
- 1:22:39Speaker 9: traveling all throughout Europe at an early age as well.
- 1:22:41Speaker 9: I started writing German Championship and then European Championship, you know,
- 1:22:45Speaker 9: at a really early age. So I was kind of
- 1:22:47Speaker 9: used to going different countries, because I guess it'd be
- 1:22:49Speaker 9: like going from California to Nevada. I was going from
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: Germany to France, you know, yeah, and it's a total
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: different culture. So I was used to that. Having said that,
- 1:22:57Speaker 9: coming over for the first time ever, it was two
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: thousand and five, I've actually that's when my parents and
- 1:23:02Speaker 9: Suzuki back then surprised me. Actually we shut up at
- 1:23:05Speaker 9: this property and uh, getting dressed and everything, and I
- 1:23:08Speaker 9: started riding the supercross tracks outdoor tracks, like multiple tracks
- 1:23:12Speaker 9: on a property, and so that was, you know, first
- 1:23:14Speaker 9: time in the US. It was all new to me,
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: like the big tracks, big compounds, and everything wasn't normal.
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: So I'm riding and riding and I come back and
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: I see somebody with the number four ripping on a
- 1:23:23Speaker 9: supercross track and it was Ricky. I did had no idea.
- 1:23:27Speaker 9: My parents surprised me, and that was my first encounter
- 1:23:30Speaker 9: with Ricky. And then sure enough down the road, let's say, oh,
- 1:23:33Speaker 9: ten years later, I started racing for his team.
- 1:23:36Speaker 5: Yeah, and uh, just wild to think about, right.
- 1:23:38Speaker 9: So anyways, when I when I first came out to
- 1:23:40Speaker 9: the US, I just think we were a little bit
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: thrown in the deep end. I didn't have much supercross experience, right,
- 1:23:45Speaker 9: so we came over here started racing for Roger to Coosta,
- 1:23:48Speaker 9: which is like the ultimate top level thing that you
- 1:23:52Speaker 9: can do, right, and I had that in with KTM
- 1:23:53Speaker 9: and the big switch was going on.
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: But overall, like I was new.
- 1:23:57Speaker 9: To supercross, the bikes, the suspension setups, and I went
- 1:24:01Speaker 9: from living on a property to do whatever I want
- 1:24:03Speaker 9: to do to living into an apartment and then.
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: Trying to you know, grocery shopping.
- 1:24:07Speaker 9: Like it's just things you don't realize until you're actually
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: thrown in the deep end, and but so cool to
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: look back. I tell people to go out out the
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: country and and get different cultures all the time. But
- 1:24:18Speaker 9: at least that's one of my favorite things to do,
- 1:24:20Speaker 9: is travel to all different places.
- 1:24:22Speaker 2: So when you when you're able to go back to Germany, like,
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: does it feel more foreign to you being back in
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: Germany now that you've been in the United States for
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: so long?
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: At this point, it hasn't been too bad because within
- 1:24:31Speaker 9: the last couple of years I went back a few times,
- 1:24:34Speaker 9: only just for a few days at a time, but
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: at least I was there more frequently, and that made
- 1:24:38Speaker 9: it feel a lot more like, Hey, it starts feeling
- 1:24:41Speaker 9: a lot more familiar again. And I wouldn't say that
- 1:24:44Speaker 9: when I go there that that's home in a sense. Yeah,
- 1:24:47Speaker 9: because of friends and I like food and I love
- 1:24:49Speaker 9: German food and everything, but overall, I'm just never there.
- 1:24:52Speaker 9: So when I do go there, it just I feel
- 1:24:55Speaker 9: more at home in the US, I have to really, Yeah,
- 1:24:57Speaker 9: it's it's wild and I've only been here for ten years,
- 1:25:00Speaker 9: so I don't know if you would consider that a
- 1:25:02Speaker 9: long time or not.
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: But dude, you take a decade in, you're you're you're cemented.
- 1:25:06Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, at least you've completely switched. I mean, I
- 1:25:08Speaker 9: feel like I'm a complete different person in a sense.
- 1:25:11Speaker 9: I want to believe that I'm a better person, but
- 1:25:13Speaker 9: complete different person than when I lived in Germany.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: Granted I was young.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: But you stay out in Florida now, Is that we're
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: gonna have home base when it's all said and done, correct?
- 1:25:21Speaker 5: Yeah, I used to split my time.
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: Florida is my home base, like my main spot. But
- 1:25:25Speaker 9: I lived in San Clementi before, which is between La
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: and San Diego. That's where I first actually went was
- 1:25:30Speaker 9: from Germany. I went straight to California, and that's where
- 1:25:32Speaker 9: I based myself out of and then transitioned over to Florida.
- 1:25:36Speaker 9: But I've always had my teams have always been in
- 1:25:38Speaker 9: southern California, so I've always felt the need to have
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: a place instead of renting all the time.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: It's always a mini move and it's a pain in
- 1:25:44Speaker 5: the ass.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:25:45Speaker 9: So, but we did end up selling last year throughout
- 1:25:47Speaker 9: summer just because you know how the market was like
- 1:25:49Speaker 9: make a make some good money with it. It wasn't
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: planing at all. So for right now, I have no
- 1:25:53Speaker 9: house in California. We just we're kind of everything as
- 1:25:56Speaker 9: everything has changed within the last few months in a
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: good way, like in a super cool I think it
- 1:26:00Speaker 9: was it was needed for me personally, and uh yeah,
- 1:26:03Speaker 9: so life's life's been good though.
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: That's awesome, And I'm happy for you being Going back
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: to when you were started racing when you were three
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: years old, at what point in your life did you
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: realize like, oh, should I can actually do this and
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: be competitive and be a champion doing this?
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Yeah, So I would say it probably started very early.
- 1:26:19Speaker 9: I mean the fact that I started riding and racing
- 1:26:21Speaker 9: so early, I just had, you know, crazy good throttle control,
- 1:26:24Speaker 9: and I could ride a dirt bike before I was
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: able to ride it.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: You say, but you got to break it down because
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: you throttle.
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: Control, so you know, like any kid.
- 1:26:31Speaker 9: I mean, I even say, I have a son that's
- 1:26:33Speaker 9: too in seven month, two years and seven months, and uh,
- 1:26:35Speaker 9: you know when they first jump on it, all they
- 1:26:37Speaker 9: want to do is hold it wide open, you know,
- 1:26:38Speaker 9: and and I, for whatever reason at that age, hold
- 1:26:41Speaker 9: a throttle wide open and then whiskey thrown.
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: They don't know how to break right, and then they
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: just go away to the things.
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: Their legs are falling off the back and they're kind
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: of getting drug ass arounds.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: They fall down.
- 1:26:49Speaker 9: And actually for me, I was just very I had
- 1:26:51Speaker 9: really good throttle control, and uh, I just knew how
- 1:26:55Speaker 9: to ride a motorcycle. So then a little bit later,
- 1:26:57Speaker 9: on five, six, seven, eight years, I was just racing
- 1:27:01Speaker 9: a lot of local stuff, a little bit of Belgium
- 1:27:03Speaker 9: and in the Netherlands.
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: Because it was close by eleven years old, No, that
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: was earlier than that.
- 1:27:08Speaker 9: So then when eight nine ten is when I started
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: racing German Championship and with that came some of the
- 1:27:13Speaker 9: European championships because the German Championship was actually an international championship,
- 1:27:17Speaker 9: so it wasn't just Germans riding that we had people
- 1:27:19Speaker 9: come that I actually would in the World Championship, would
- 1:27:23Speaker 9: actually still race today, like we've we have this group
- 1:27:26Speaker 9: of people that I've raced against since I was super
- 1:27:28Speaker 9: little that are still racing at this point, which is
- 1:27:30Speaker 9: so rare to see because it's it's so long ago
- 1:27:32Speaker 9: when when we were little kids, and now I'm almost thirty,
- 1:27:35Speaker 9: turning twenty nine tomorrow and I'm technically at you know,
- 1:27:38Speaker 9: still racing some of those guys from back then.
- 1:27:40Speaker 5: It's pretty cool to see.
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: You're getting to race on your birthday. Sounds like an
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: awesome you said, you're in twenty nine, Yeah.
- 1:27:45Speaker 5: First time ever.
- 1:27:46Speaker 9: So my birthday used to be on when we raced
- 1:27:48Speaker 9: in Vegas back the day, but it was never on
- 1:27:50Speaker 9: actual Saturday when we were racing. So this time, is
- 1:27:53Speaker 9: it called stone or Golden Birthday or something like that?
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Your golden birthday?
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: Yeah, my twenty ninth birthday, twenty ninth, and I'm racing.
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: So yeah, and automatic dub huh automatic dub.
- 1:28:05Speaker 9: Automatic, Yeah, I mean I would hope, so that would
- 1:28:07Speaker 9: be bad ass. But just being in Nashville too, Right,
- 1:28:09Speaker 9: We don't come here that often, and my wife loves
- 1:28:12Speaker 9: the city and I do too. We've had some good
- 1:28:13Speaker 9: times here, and it's just it's a different, different vibe.
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: I mean, it's like the like a little New York
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: in a way.
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: It's just special. It makes it it's a uniquely growing city, dude.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: Like I've been here for almost ten years now and
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: just watching the landscape with the skyscrapers everything, I've changed
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: so much as over like a million people here now,
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: but before that, it was like in the five hundred thousands,
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: it just doubled.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: Yeah, in the last ten years, it's wild.
- 1:28:32Speaker 5: I mean, and you see it happening in a lot
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: of areas.
- 1:28:34Speaker 9: I mean even where I'm from and like near Orlando area,
- 1:28:37Speaker 9: we're on a little outskirt that used to be That's
- 1:28:40Speaker 9: why I essentially moved to Florida because everything was calmer.
- 1:28:43Speaker 9: There wasn't as much traffic as in California. I didn't
- 1:28:45Speaker 9: have to drive as far but taxes. Yeah, and within
- 1:28:48Speaker 9: the last few years, it's just it had exploded, like
- 1:28:51Speaker 9: it doesn't matter where we go in the area that
- 1:28:54Speaker 9: used to be super calm and relaxed, they all start
- 1:28:57Speaker 9: getting super busy, and uh, it just changed a little bit.
- 1:29:00Speaker 9: But at the same time it's also good for businesses
- 1:29:03Speaker 9: all the city grow and more people and so I'm
- 1:29:06Speaker 9: fine with it, but it's at the same time it's
- 1:29:08Speaker 9: a little sad, just because it's not as mellow anymore.
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: Yeah, what d you you to Florida just going from
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: one coast to the other one to be near the water,
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: or did you ever consider a place like Nevada or
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: Texas or an Arizona other I would assume big dirt
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: biking areas.
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: Yeah, not really, just because southern California.
- 1:29:26Speaker 9: And when I say that is but Corona and Tamika,
- 1:29:29Speaker 9: so it's a little bit more inland from the beach.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: That's where all the test tracks used to be from.
- 1:29:33Speaker 9: All the teams, Honda, Suzuki, Cowie, like, they all have
- 1:29:36Speaker 9: their test tracks there and all the teams are based
- 1:29:39Speaker 9: down there, so it makes sense. But when you go
- 1:29:41Speaker 9: to like Nevada or any of those areas, there isn't
- 1:29:44Speaker 9: really anybody with tracks, Like I don't really think you
- 1:29:47Speaker 9: have a whole lot of public tracks, and it just
- 1:29:48Speaker 9: makes it a lot more difficult because the teams aren't there.
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: There's hardly any tracks you would have to have your
- 1:29:53Speaker 5: own property.
- 1:29:54Speaker 9: But for me in Florida, there's so many private facilities
- 1:29:57Speaker 9: and I personally ride at the same box, which I
- 1:29:59Speaker 9: have for the last I don't know how many years.
- 1:30:02Speaker 9: What's a sandbox, it's just the name of the facility
- 1:30:05Speaker 9: that I'm racing at. We have supercross tracks there, turn
- 1:30:07Speaker 9: tracks just in case it rains, so we can we
- 1:30:09Speaker 9: always have a track rideable and you basically just pay
- 1:30:12Speaker 9: a yearly fee and you're you're able. So it's not
- 1:30:14Speaker 9: a public track. You can't just some guy can't just
- 1:30:16Speaker 9: go there and pay and come and ride. So it's
- 1:30:18Speaker 9: a private facility. And we have a bunch of thous
- 1:30:20Speaker 9: throughout Florida, So that's why it made sense to go
- 1:30:23Speaker 9: to Florida, switch coast and and and you don't drive
- 1:30:26Speaker 9: as far. I have twenty five minutes to the track.
- 1:30:28Speaker 9: It's always the same, and so anywhere in between. I mean,
- 1:30:31Speaker 9: of course you have people living around that's where they
- 1:30:33Speaker 9: grew up and they have their own track, but in
- 1:30:34Speaker 9: general general, for me, it was always California or Florida,
- 1:30:37Speaker 9: just because when it came to the riding side of things,
- 1:30:40Speaker 9: it made the most sense.
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: Take me throughel like how you train and get prepared
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: to race and supercross? So I know it takes a
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: lot of endurance. What kind of stuff do you do
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: outside of just riding?
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: Do you lift? Do you spread? Do you Yeah, it
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: takes supplements, Like what's your regiment look like?
- 1:30:54Speaker 9: Being a motocross supercross racer, you kind of have to
- 1:30:57Speaker 9: be an all arounder. I think people their ego is
- 1:31:02Speaker 9: super high and don't know much about the sport always
- 1:31:04Speaker 9: have we have the stigma of like, oh, you just
- 1:31:06Speaker 9: you just ride the bike. It couldn't be more far away,
- 1:31:10Speaker 9: further away from the truth. I do a lot of
- 1:31:13Speaker 9: cardio training. I do a lot of strength training, just
- 1:31:17Speaker 9: because our sport is so it's called violent in a way, right,
- 1:31:20Speaker 9: Like we're high heart rates, throwing bikes from left to
- 1:31:22Speaker 9: right with track conditions changing pretty much every lap, and
- 1:31:26Speaker 9: then you're battling twenty two other guys.
- 1:31:27Speaker 5: So there's just a lot of excitement going on. And
- 1:31:30Speaker 5: I think from a fan.
- 1:31:31Speaker 9: Perspective especially, I think that's why everybody falls in love
- 1:31:34Speaker 9: with it, because there's so much going on at all times, right,
- 1:31:38Speaker 9: and so yeah, on the training side of things, we
- 1:31:39Speaker 9: do a lot of cardio.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: It's in every day.
- 1:31:41Speaker 9: I personally say, I work twenty four to seven, three
- 1:31:43Speaker 9: sixty five. And I've always been the kind of guy
- 1:31:46Speaker 9: whether it's Christmas or Thanksgiving or whatever, that is never
- 1:31:49Speaker 9: taken away from what the task at hand, which is
- 1:31:53Speaker 9: I've trained and done all this stuff for so long.
- 1:31:55Speaker 9: Like it's almost like a religion to me in a way, right,
- 1:31:57Speaker 9: Like I feel like a fish out of water.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: If I do do a routine, you kind of just
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: I want to break.
- 1:32:00Speaker 9: Down, And honestly, my body feels like shit if I
- 1:32:02Speaker 9: don't work out, So I just I have fun with it.
- 1:32:04Speaker 9: Especially in my later stages of my career. Right now,
- 1:32:07Speaker 9: I have embraced the whole thing a lot more. I
- 1:32:10Speaker 9: do my own training schedule, and I guess I'm just
- 1:32:14Speaker 9: a lot more into it instead of back in the day.
- 1:32:16Speaker 9: I was always eager to do everything one hundred and
- 1:32:19Speaker 9: ten percent, but at the same time, you were always
- 1:32:21Speaker 9: relying on somebody to tell you what to do. So
- 1:32:23Speaker 9: I have taken it up on myself because I started
- 1:32:25Speaker 9: traveling all over the country throughout the off season, racing
- 1:32:29Speaker 9: in Australia and I raced in France, and I went
- 1:32:31Speaker 9: to Barcelona and all of that, and uh yeah, the
- 1:32:35Speaker 9: training side of things, I was the best, the best
- 1:32:37Speaker 9: judge of myself because you know it is when you
- 1:32:39Speaker 9: fly to Australia, it's a long ass fly, jet lag
- 1:32:41Speaker 9: and everything.
- 1:32:41Speaker 5: So I was the best judge of what I'm able
- 1:32:43Speaker 5: to do.
- 1:32:44Speaker 9: And with that, I started love I love doing intervals
- 1:32:47Speaker 9: and like just kind of push my body and be
- 1:32:50Speaker 9: in the in the pain cave a little bit. You know,
- 1:32:52Speaker 9: we kind of I kind of live for that. So
- 1:32:53Speaker 9: I was starting to mess around with the discomfort exactly,
- 1:32:56Speaker 9: like you need to start to be comfortable being uncomfortable.
- 1:32:59Speaker 9: And yeah, that's pretty much an all.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Day every day you're humreman. Yeah he dialed in.
- 1:33:03Speaker 9: Huh really and yeah, so we pretty much do it
- 1:33:07Speaker 9: all and not to mention the riding. The thing is
- 1:33:09Speaker 9: the weather too, right, Like in Florida we lived during
- 1:33:12Speaker 9: the heat. I mean, summertime is absolutely miserable. So it
- 1:33:15Speaker 9: is very easy to do too much and not be
- 1:33:18Speaker 9: recovered for the weekend. Because you know how it is
- 1:33:20Speaker 9: when you work out and it's hot out, it is
- 1:33:22Speaker 9: three times as hard than when it's cool out, you know,
- 1:33:24Speaker 9: So those are all things that take into consideration and
- 1:33:26Speaker 9: find what's the best formula for you.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: When you were when you're growing up and you're realizing
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: your passion for racing, you're ripping around having a good time.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Was there a time, a transition period for you to
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: find this love for discomfort where you're like, oh, I
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: actually have to lift and I have to run and
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: I have to make sure I stay on top of
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: my body to make sure that can do it.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Because you remember being a kid.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: I don't know how it is for dirt bike riders
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: or motocross riders, but playing sports, you're a kid. You
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: don't even need to warm up. You just go out
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: there and do whatever. And then eventually you get to
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: an agh it's like, should I got to stretch a
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: little bit? Then he goes, I get the cold tub
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: a little bit. And so what was that like? Was
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: that a tough process for you to learn or was
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: the eagerness always just there for you.
- 1:34:01Speaker 9: I wouldn't say it was tough because I grew up
- 1:34:04Speaker 9: with a lot of discipline naturally, but also my dad
- 1:34:07Speaker 9: was quite old school, and.
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: The Germans seemed very disciplined.
- 1:34:11Speaker 9: Yeah, exactly, and not in a bad way, but just
- 1:34:13Speaker 9: like when I was a kid, I was born into
- 1:34:16Speaker 9: it and I wanted it to be I just think
- 1:34:18Speaker 9: I had a couple of friends around too that we
- 1:34:20Speaker 9: would always train together, and me and him would we
- 1:34:23Speaker 9: went on I remember it.
- 1:34:24Speaker 5: To this day because we always make fun of it.
- 1:34:26Speaker 9: We went on a two hour run in the pouring rain,
- 1:34:29Speaker 9: Like I mean, we put trash bags over ourselves and
- 1:34:31Speaker 9: we just started running. But those are memories like was
- 1:34:34Speaker 9: it miserable, absolutely, but did we have fun?
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: For sure?
- 1:34:38Speaker 5: And did it teach us to like not be soft?
- 1:34:41Speaker 9: Absolutely, because I feel like nowadays people are way too soft,
- 1:34:45Speaker 9: way too comfortable, right, And I just grew up with
- 1:34:47Speaker 9: no matter what the weather is, there is really no
- 1:34:49Speaker 9: bad weather, but you can dress right for it. And
- 1:34:52Speaker 9: so no matter if it was freezing cold with a
- 1:34:54Speaker 9: lot of ice, I was always running, and so I was.
- 1:34:57Speaker 9: I was very I'm very appreciative of how I ca
- 1:35:00Speaker 9: came up and the discipline. So I've always had that
- 1:35:02Speaker 9: in me. Nobody really had to ever push me because
- 1:35:05Speaker 9: I was slacking off. I was always, if anything, too
- 1:35:07Speaker 9: eager and and uh put in a lot of enthusiasm.
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: Enthusiasm.
- 1:35:12Speaker 9: So yeah, I still to this day, I love it
- 1:35:16Speaker 9: and a lot of I don't think a whole lot
- 1:35:18Speaker 9: of people have disciplined. And it doesn't have to be
- 1:35:19Speaker 9: with training or anything. It could be your diet or
- 1:35:22Speaker 9: or whatever. It may be going to your job and
- 1:35:24Speaker 9: maybe slacking. I don't know, but I just think it's
- 1:35:27Speaker 9: really fun messing with this kind of stuff and being uncomfortable.
- 1:35:29Speaker 9: I just feel like it makes me grow, It makes
- 1:35:31Speaker 9: me be happy. Yeah, you know, same with cold plunges.
- 1:35:33Speaker 9: I'm sure you young cold punches. People hate cold punches.
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: For three minutes in the morning.
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, So I have.
- 1:35:39Speaker 9: I have one as well, and as miserable as it is,
- 1:35:41Speaker 9: but I just feel like, after you've kind of had
- 1:35:44Speaker 9: that suffering a little bit, it's just there's something inside
- 1:35:47Speaker 9: of us humans. I feel like that makes us feel
- 1:35:50Speaker 9: like we've really accomplished something, and it makes it makes
- 1:35:52Speaker 9: me feel good.
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: So I love that type stuff.
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: There's a there's a general that did a commencement speech
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: at the University of Texas and he talks about little victories.
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: A little victory could be as small as making your bed,
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: because if your days shit, at least you come home
- 1:36:03Speaker 2: to a made bed, and like, that's what the ice
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: tub is totally if you stare at it and you
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: have all these excuses in your head's like well I'm sore,
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: Hey fucking I don't have to do it today. But
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: the minute you get in, once you come out, you
- 1:36:13Speaker 2: literally feel like a brand new man.
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:14Speaker 9: I think we all tend to kind of think about
- 1:36:17Speaker 9: going the easy route of like you know, like you said,
- 1:36:19Speaker 9: not making the bed. But I feel like every time
- 1:36:21Speaker 9: there's something where your brain says, hey, like don't worry
- 1:36:24Speaker 9: about but then you do it anyway, which that's what
- 1:36:25Speaker 9: discipline is.
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: It overall makes.
- 1:36:28Speaker 9: For such a better life because I just feel like
- 1:36:29Speaker 9: you're overall happier because if you do that once, then
- 1:36:31Speaker 9: you'll do it again and before you know it, your
- 1:36:33Speaker 9: entire place will be a mess, right and right. So yeah,
- 1:36:36Speaker 9: it's it's fun to mess with that kind of stuff.
- 1:36:38Speaker 9: And I think everything comes in phases, which is totally cool.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:36:42Speaker 9: I think a lot of people go ape shit, go
- 1:36:44Speaker 9: all the way, and then they get burnt out and
- 1:36:46Speaker 9: then they just they're terrible again for a couple of years,
- 1:36:49Speaker 9: you know. And I'm a believer in I keep a
- 1:36:52Speaker 9: not a too high, not a too low, right, Like
- 1:36:54Speaker 9: saying when it comes to diet, I kind of I'm
- 1:36:55Speaker 9: a foodie, so I eat anything really, but I have
- 1:36:58Speaker 9: learned to have fun with my job, enjoy the training
- 1:37:03Speaker 9: side of things even when it's maybe not the most fun,
- 1:37:05Speaker 9: but the same with the diet, and not be too
- 1:37:07Speaker 9: too hard on yourself.
- 1:37:09Speaker 5: And I feel like that's just what has worked for
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: me lately.
- 1:37:12Speaker 9: And I live happy and and that just shows in
- 1:37:14Speaker 9: my writing and everything I do, and just we're all
- 1:37:18Speaker 9: more enthusiastic with whatever I do.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: You can definitely tell with people their energy when they're
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: happy or sad, like even internally you can feel it
- 1:37:24Speaker 2: from that individual. You seem like a person that has
- 1:37:26Speaker 2: a really good level head on their shoulders. And the
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: way I've heard you talk in the short amount of time,
- 1:37:29Speaker 2: it seems like your dad put a massively influential part
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: in your life of having this type of success.
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:37:34Speaker 9: Absolutely, and all my family did, because that all what's
- 1:37:38Speaker 9: cool about the sport. We have a very wide range
- 1:37:41Speaker 9: of viewers you know, and fans you know, from all
- 1:37:44Speaker 9: the way from newborns till till elderlies.
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: So it I totally just forgot what I was.
- 1:37:53Speaker 2: No, No, don't worry about that way we were talking
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: about your your family, Yeah, your family, My.
- 1:37:57Speaker 9: Mom, you know, she was cleaning the roll offs back
- 1:37:59Speaker 9: in the this so when we ride and it's dirty
- 1:38:01Speaker 9: and meaning muddy, or it's raining on whatever, you ride,
- 1:38:03Speaker 9: rollof so you can pull your roll off and you
- 1:38:05Speaker 9: get clear vision.
- 1:38:06Speaker 5: Well, back in the day, we didn't have any money.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Well, also on the goggles exactly.
- 1:38:10Speaker 9: Yep, yep, exactly, you can pull it off. That's a
- 1:38:12Speaker 9: tear off or a roll off. We have these little
- 1:38:14Speaker 9: cannisters on the side and basically when we pull it,
- 1:38:16Speaker 9: we pull the clear film from one side to the other,
- 1:38:19Speaker 9: so we.
- 1:38:19Speaker 5: Always have clear vision.
- 1:38:20Speaker 9: Yeah, but my mom cleaned those back in the day
- 1:38:22Speaker 9: and rolled them back up because we didn't really have
- 1:38:25Speaker 9: any money to be, you know, buying new stuff all
- 1:38:28Speaker 9: the time.
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: It's an expensive sport, right, Like to ride motocross, you
- 1:38:31Speaker 2: have to afford the bike.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: You have to be able to keep up with the maintenance.
- 1:38:33Speaker 9: Yeah, it's a lot easier to buy a ball or
- 1:38:36Speaker 9: a bat, you know, that's sure. But I think nowadays,
- 1:38:40Speaker 9: you know, we're lucky that this whole e bike thing, right,
- 1:38:44Speaker 9: it's like electric bikes. Yeah, big controversy, you know, some
- 1:38:47Speaker 9: people love it, some people hate it. What I think
- 1:38:49Speaker 9: is great for little dudes is they can ride in
- 1:38:52Speaker 9: any yard. It doesn't make any noise. So even for
- 1:38:54Speaker 9: my son right now, he's just been riding his Stasic
- 1:38:56Speaker 9: bike and it's like a mountain bike but electric for
- 1:39:00Speaker 9: little kids, and it's so rad It just opens up
- 1:39:03Speaker 9: I think a whole new era. And I think people
- 1:39:06Speaker 9: from more you know, suburbs or city type living, they
- 1:39:09Speaker 9: can they can end up have a little more liking
- 1:39:11Speaker 9: into that. Yeah, and you know it's a sport expensive,
- 1:39:13Speaker 9: Yeah it is. But at the same time, when you
- 1:39:15Speaker 9: love it, you just you love it, you go after it, right, Yeah,
- 1:39:18Speaker 9: passion seems to find a way totally.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: Yeah, when you brought you brought up like changing of
- 1:39:23Speaker 2: bikes when you're younger, and you know, obviously you were
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: riding the same bike as you were when you're three
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: years old, when you as a kind of used to
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: be rider, a big fan of everything. How was the
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: transition for you going like up from bike to bike,
- 1:39:36Speaker 2: Like what kind of process does that take to like
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: learn the new torque and the speed and the throttle
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: and all that.
- 1:39:41Speaker 5: So that was that was a thing that came supernatural
- 1:39:43Speaker 5: to me.
- 1:39:44Speaker 9: And it's funny we talk about that because for me personally,
- 1:39:47Speaker 9: I've always switched to the bigger bike at a super
- 1:39:49Speaker 9: early age when I was actually way too small, so
- 1:39:51Speaker 9: I always no, no, we're gonna call it level up.
- 1:39:55Speaker 9: But I had the luxury of jumping on all kinds
- 1:39:57Speaker 9: of different bikes when I was literally this tall and
- 1:39:59Speaker 9: for whatever reason, and I just knew how to do
- 1:40:01Speaker 9: a clutch, like because once you start rolling, I didn't
- 1:40:03Speaker 9: really need my legs, right, I was riding around.
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: So somebody had to hold you up while you got
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: going on once you want.
- 1:40:07Speaker 9: And you know what I think the ultimate factor is
- 1:40:10Speaker 9: of success too, is that I had fun with everything
- 1:40:13Speaker 9: that I did, like being a little kid riding bigger
- 1:40:15Speaker 9: bikes that you're technically not supposed to ride. So I
- 1:40:17Speaker 9: had the luxury of riding all these different bikes and
- 1:40:20Speaker 9: playing around with the sport that I was going to pursue.
- 1:40:22Speaker 9: And I think that's what got me so skilled, because
- 1:40:24Speaker 9: I was constantly on them. And it doesn't even have
- 1:40:26Speaker 9: to be a dirt bike, but also bicycles. I grew
- 1:40:28Speaker 9: up riding BMX and dirt jumpers and all this kind
- 1:40:30Speaker 9: of stuff and I was constantly on it. So I
- 1:40:32Speaker 9: think with anything, it's learning by doing, and I just
- 1:40:34Speaker 9: did it so much that I just I got super
- 1:40:37Speaker 9: skilled at it.
- 1:40:38Speaker 5: And you know, rain or shine, I was out.
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: There was there ever one like jump up that was
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: difficult or was it all pretty seamless for you?
- 1:40:46Speaker 9: No, I mean it wasn't always easy.
- 1:40:49Speaker 5: Before I turned pro.
- 1:40:50Speaker 9: It just I feel like I kind of had a
- 1:40:52Speaker 9: little bit of a dip down because I only really
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: started training training, and this is still at a young age.
- 1:40:58Speaker 9: But I turned pro when I was fifteen, so I
- 1:41:00Speaker 9: had to start when I was fourteen, and I really
- 1:41:02Speaker 9: prepared myself for starting to race the World Championship. And
- 1:41:06Speaker 9: there was that transition before because I was technically even
- 1:41:09Speaker 9: at this point, I was still a kid. And between
- 1:41:11Speaker 9: let's say eleven, twelve, thirteen fourteen, right in between there,
- 1:41:15Speaker 9: I wasn't really training, but I was writing and just
- 1:41:20Speaker 9: having fun.
- 1:41:20Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:41:21Speaker 9: My friends went into town and went to the public
- 1:41:23Speaker 9: pool or whatever. I went with them, you know, so
- 1:41:25Speaker 9: and then I raced just for fun. But I think
- 1:41:27Speaker 9: a lot of people at that age they already put
- 1:41:29Speaker 9: in that little bit of extra and training and this
- 1:41:32Speaker 9: and that. So there was a time where I was
- 1:41:34Speaker 9: standing still a little bit, and some other guys came
- 1:41:37Speaker 9: became fast and they were kind of like on my level.
- 1:41:39Speaker 9: But then I wasn't really training it. So once I
- 1:41:41Speaker 9: started racing GPS, I really started putting in some hours
- 1:41:43Speaker 9: and some discipline and hard work. Over a few months,
- 1:41:48Speaker 9: I was working still a really closely with Red Bull.
- 1:41:51Speaker 9: And so once I started training, I mean I jumped
- 1:41:54Speaker 9: from here to here. I just made a huge step
- 1:41:56Speaker 9: and then everybody was like, WHOA, what happened to this kid?
- 1:41:59Speaker 5: You know?
- 1:42:00Speaker 9: And so yeah, I was finally starting to put in
- 1:42:02Speaker 9: work and then I just went after it. And at
- 1:42:04Speaker 9: that young age, I was racing people that are twenty
- 1:42:07Speaker 9: you know, twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty three. So
- 1:42:10Speaker 9: their body, yeah, their body is just so much more developed, right,
- 1:42:13Speaker 9: And and there's good and bad because as a young kid,
- 1:42:16Speaker 9: you know it is you don't really feel that much
- 1:42:18Speaker 9: like if you have you don't have any nagging pain
- 1:42:20Speaker 9: or like you don't get that tired.
- 1:42:22Speaker 5: You just have a whole different feeling.
- 1:42:24Speaker 9: I think as you get older, you get more in
- 1:42:25Speaker 9: tuned with your body, so you start noticing all these
- 1:42:28Speaker 9: little things or getting tired or you get hot. But
- 1:42:30Speaker 9: at the same time, their bikes were, uh, their bodies
- 1:42:32Speaker 9: were a lot fitter and bigger and stronger and more
- 1:42:35Speaker 9: wal bike.
- 1:42:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 1:42:36Speaker 9: And you know, I was tiny at that point still
- 1:42:39Speaker 9: and like a like a like a scorny little kid,
- 1:42:41Speaker 9: and I was kind of late too with puberty, so
- 1:42:43Speaker 9: I was full babyface and everything, and it was it
- 1:42:45Speaker 9: was nuts.
- 1:42:45Speaker 5: It was such a rat time.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: They're ripping around with twenty one year olds of a
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: baby face and even.
- 1:42:49Speaker 5: Totally yeah, it was. It was a wild time.
- 1:42:52Speaker 9: And that was really my I don't want to say
- 1:42:55Speaker 9: come up, but like once I started racing professionally, like
- 1:42:58Speaker 9: I started doing really good at a really young age,
- 1:43:00Speaker 9: and I was with Factory Suzuki back then got big
- 1:43:03Speaker 9: time help from Japan and we were based together with
- 1:43:06Speaker 9: that that was on a two fifty, so I was
- 1:43:07Speaker 9: still riding the smaller bikes and the four to fifties,
- 1:43:09Speaker 9: the very top elite bike and that was basically all
- 1:43:13Speaker 9: one thing. So I got to be able to be
- 1:43:15Speaker 9: around with those guys that have raised the GPS on
- 1:43:18Speaker 9: the top level for many years already, so I was
- 1:43:21Speaker 9: able to learn from them, and I was just I
- 1:43:23Speaker 9: surrounded myself with people that were at that very very
- 1:43:28Speaker 9: top level, and that allowed me to latch on and
- 1:43:31Speaker 9: you know, essentially when I became their age, I just
- 1:43:34Speaker 9: took it to another level when it came to speed
- 1:43:36Speaker 9: and technique and finding all these little tents and hundreds
- 1:43:41Speaker 9: that we're really fighting for nowadays.
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: So it seems like such a detailed sport like motocross
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: to me seems kind of in a similar way like UFC,
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: Like if you watch it from a blind ey, like
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: first time turning it on, you're like, oh, it just
- 1:43:53Speaker 2: seems like guys are just riding or guys are just
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: fighting in the UFC, And then as you pay more
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: attention to it, there's so many minute details. Yeah, and
- 1:44:00Speaker 2: when you're looking at tracks, there's obviously, like you know,
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: there's larger tracks, smaller tracks, like more technical tracks. What
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: for you is like something that you're like, I got
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: to make sure and be on my p's and queues.
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: Are there different like tips you give yourself You're like,
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: all right, this burn this way, I make sure to
- 1:44:14Speaker 2: shift into this gear like kind of kind of take
- 1:44:16Speaker 2: me through like let's use let's just use Nashville for instance,
- 1:44:19Speaker 2: And then contrast that to another one that's maybe a
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: little bit different.
- 1:44:22Speaker 9: Well, that's the crazy part about the sport. It is
- 1:44:25Speaker 9: just never the same. You know, baseball field, football's field
- 1:44:28Speaker 9: of course, that can be rain and everything, but it's
- 1:44:30Speaker 9: grass and it's.
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: Flat fifty three and third wide, it's one hundred and
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: twenty yards.
- 1:44:32Speaker 9: Ago kind of have the same circumstances all the time.
- 1:44:35Speaker 9: Well for us, you know, depending on what state we
- 1:44:37Speaker 9: go to, all the track that's soiled, the weather, everything's different.
- 1:44:41Speaker 9: And not to mention with our bikes, there's a lot
- 1:44:43Speaker 9: of moving parts, right, so we test suspension, we test
- 1:44:46Speaker 9: motor stuff, we test brakes, we test clutches, because everything
- 1:44:50Speaker 9: that you change on under a bike, there's so many
- 1:44:52Speaker 9: moving parts, it changes on all other ends as well. Right,
- 1:44:55Speaker 9: motor affects suspension, Suspension affects me. How come while I'm
- 1:45:00Speaker 9: on the bike and there's just so it's a never
- 1:45:02Speaker 9: ending story. It really is a never ending story. If
- 1:45:05Speaker 9: you were to be a runner, long distance sprint, whatever,
- 1:45:07Speaker 9: you have your pair of shoes that you dial in
- 1:45:09Speaker 9: and then you're good to go. You know, it's really
- 1:45:11Speaker 9: just how much power output you do. But with cars
- 1:45:14Speaker 9: and motorcycles, motor gp whatever, it is. There's so many
- 1:45:18Speaker 9: and you change something a millimeter, like the tiny little bit.
- 1:45:22Speaker 9: It all changes to weight bias on the bike and
- 1:45:25Speaker 9: the CG wave, which the center gravity way, you know,
- 1:45:27Speaker 9: depending on where the weight sits on the bike. Everybody's different.
- 1:45:30Speaker 9: Every bike has different measurements, so they're all ride different.
- 1:45:32Speaker 9: So we do the sport so often and morning till
- 1:45:36Speaker 9: night that we pay attention and we feel everything that
- 1:45:39Speaker 9: we change, and at the same time, you're opening a
- 1:45:40Speaker 9: whole other can of worms, you know.
- 1:45:42Speaker 5: It's sometimes you chase your tail, really do.
- 1:45:45Speaker 9: And then when it comes to the tracks, we race
- 1:45:46Speaker 9: outdoor stadiums, indoor stadiums in hot weather and the track
- 1:45:50Speaker 9: gets super dry and they do the best they can
- 1:45:53Speaker 9: to keep the track the best that they can, but
- 1:45:56Speaker 9: it's always different. Sometimes we race on hard pack. Last
- 1:45:59Speaker 9: weekend was an absolute mutter. While we practiced all day
- 1:46:01Speaker 9: on perfect conditions, it was really rocky last week.
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: So it's constantly changing.
- 1:46:07Speaker 9: And our bikes, you know, we're so heavy and we're
- 1:46:09Speaker 9: so many riders, and because the soil can get really soft,
- 1:46:12Speaker 9: the ruts on the takeoffs, the holes like it's never
- 1:46:15Speaker 9: the same, you know, and it can catch you off
- 1:46:16Speaker 9: guard really quick. So it is important that you you
- 1:46:20Speaker 9: are really sharp and really in the moment for the
- 1:46:22Speaker 9: time that you're on.
- 1:46:22Speaker 5: A your bike with all the like minute details you're
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: talking about, like center of gravity and all this, and
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: one you change one thing, it changes a whole bunch
- 1:46:29Speaker 5: of other things. The more you ride, obviously, the more
- 1:46:32Speaker 5: you aware, you you become of everything around you, your clutch,
- 1:46:35Speaker 5: your suspension.
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: All that.
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: Is there ever a point or has there been a
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: point in your career where it's like you maybe became
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: too aware to the point where you're you're overthinking it
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: a little bit, like maybe you wiped.
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: Out or something like that.
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: You're like, well, it's because of you, because we all
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: anytime I've ever ever been injured in football, I've always
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: found this defense mechanism to be like, well, the reason
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: why I got hurt is X, Y and Z, I
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: did this, this and this wrong, and if I don't
- 1:46:57Speaker 2: do that again, it's good. But then when you come
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: back from an injury anything like that, it's like, man,
- 1:47:02Speaker 2: what if this is off?
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: What if that's off? And you kind of tend to
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: overthink it a little bit.
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: I'm doing I'm running on drop, like what if I
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: tend to overthink a little bit, like I'm playing football,
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: is it has that ever happened to you?
- 1:47:09Speaker 5: Absolutely, it happens to all of us at some point.
- 1:47:14Speaker 9: I think the best thing that you can do when
- 1:47:15Speaker 9: you find yourself getting lost as much as you can,
- 1:47:18Speaker 9: and I've done that multiple times. I start over stock bikes,
- 1:47:22Speaker 9: you know, out of the box, the way that each
- 1:47:25Speaker 9: and every bike is made. You know, they have the
- 1:47:27Speaker 9: test riders in Japan or depending on where your bike's
- 1:47:29Speaker 9: made from, right, and I have I've always been a
- 1:47:32Speaker 9: believer in.
- 1:47:33Speaker 5: OEM stock bikes out of the box.
- 1:47:35Speaker 9: They are pretty solid, consumer friendly, right, And then from
- 1:47:38Speaker 9: there you got to figure out what the what the
- 1:47:41Speaker 9: problem is. Sometimes it could be a measurement, you know,
- 1:47:44Speaker 9: a triple clams where your handlebars are attached to you
- 1:47:46Speaker 9: can you can rake those out or bring it closer
- 1:47:48Speaker 9: to you and all this kind of stuff. And sometimes
- 1:47:51Speaker 9: it's just material. You know, some people have titanium bolts,
- 1:47:54Speaker 9: some have steel. Like there's all different materials and every
- 1:47:57Speaker 9: single different material has a different compound and feels different, right, So,
- 1:48:01Speaker 9: like titanium is super hard and super stiff, and it
- 1:48:04Speaker 9: can create a lot of harshness in your hands, so
- 1:48:07Speaker 9: it's very easy to get confused. And you know, all
- 1:48:10Speaker 9: the more important that you work with with a good team, because.
- 1:48:14Speaker 5: In the end, it's not just my brain.
- 1:48:16Speaker 9: If every if we're all collaborating and it works out,
- 1:48:19Speaker 9: we can take the comments and the knowledge that I've
- 1:48:21Speaker 9: gotten over these last few years with the right changes,
- 1:48:25Speaker 9: with a good team behind you, you know.
- 1:48:27Speaker 5: But at the same time, it doesn't always work that way,
- 1:48:29Speaker 5: you know.
- 1:48:29Speaker 9: And sometimes I can do the best training I possibly
- 1:48:33Speaker 9: can and be super far off with my bike and
- 1:48:36Speaker 9: you're just not winning. You know, you're not there and
- 1:48:39Speaker 9: sounds when you're getting injured or yeah, you can get injured. Yeah,
- 1:48:43Speaker 9: it's it's uh man, it's it's so hard, but it
- 1:48:46Speaker 9: makes it so fun.
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean it's a reason why, like, if everybody
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: could do it, everyone would.
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, if it was easy. What's a phrase? If it
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: was easy, everyone would do it? Yeah, thank god I
- 1:48:54Speaker 2: landed that plane.
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: When you're like before we we you came in here.
- 1:49:01Speaker 2: Mitch's brother whose name's escaping me right now, he's with
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: us on the bus. He showed me a clip was
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: it twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen, and you went off a
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: jump and you landed like a the at the like
- 1:49:13Speaker 2: before the landing of another jump, and obviously just fulaid
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: your arm had multiple surgeries. What was like, just to
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: talk me through what one why that happened. We'll get
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: to the rest later, but why, like why did that happen?
- 1:49:24Speaker 2: In your expert opinion of how you ended up in
- 1:49:27Speaker 2: that situation.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: Yeah, So.
- 1:49:30Speaker 9: There's a lot of different things to look at during
- 1:49:32Speaker 9: that time, which we've in the you know, we've we've
- 1:49:35Speaker 9: had that happen more often, but that was a very
- 1:49:37Speaker 9: wet time in California. We just gotten a lot of rain,
- 1:49:41Speaker 9: and uh, like I said, with conditions changing all the time, well,
- 1:49:43Speaker 9: the transitions between all the jumps before we take off,
- 1:49:46Speaker 9: they're they're really soft and soggy and just also inconsistent. Right,
- 1:49:50Speaker 9: and then once we started racing, I did basically everything perfectly,
- 1:49:54Speaker 9: but my suspension completely compressed on the bottom of the
- 1:49:58Speaker 9: jump and it was just ged out. And by ged out,
- 1:50:01Speaker 9: I mean when we keep hitting it over and over,
- 1:50:03Speaker 9: the hole gets kind of deeper deeper, deeper deeper, and
- 1:50:05Speaker 9: my my suspension essentially bottomed out and rebound it and
- 1:50:09Speaker 9: just hit forward exactly and not just that.
- 1:50:13Speaker 5: I think I drugged my heels and it ripped my
- 1:50:14Speaker 5: feet off.
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: So as soon as I started going forward basically doing
- 1:50:18Speaker 9: a Superman I mean, I have no control at that
- 1:50:20Speaker 9: point anymore. Right, I tried to hang on as long
- 1:50:23Speaker 9: as I can. They're just at least somewhat just straightened
- 1:50:25Speaker 9: my body out a little bit. But I mean I
- 1:50:26Speaker 9: absolutely faced into the brother.
- 1:50:29Speaker 1: It was a tough thing to watch. Yeah, I mean,
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: you went.
- 1:50:32Speaker 9: Through it, but I mean right now, like I can
- 1:50:33Speaker 9: watch it over and over. I've never really had a
- 1:50:35Speaker 9: problem watching it.
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: Yeah, right after it happened, like you're in the hospital,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: I don't really remember. Honestly.
- 1:50:41Speaker 9: The time after was super fuzzy for me because I
- 1:50:42Speaker 9: was in the hospital for almost four weeks and I
- 1:50:45Speaker 9: was on a lot of medication, and it scared me
- 1:50:47Speaker 9: a little bit, all the medication stuff. But they're telling
- 1:50:49Speaker 9: me that I'm nowhere near what people normally take. So
- 1:50:52Speaker 9: but anyway, you know, between long lasting morphine and oxyo
- 1:50:56Speaker 9: with the lauded whatever they give you, you know what
- 1:50:58Speaker 9: I mean is I literally I don't really remember that
- 1:51:01Speaker 9: much shortly after. There's there's little highlights here and there,
- 1:51:05Speaker 9: but I was in Veil Colorado and the Stetman Clinic,
- 1:51:07Speaker 9: which thank god because doctor Viola. You know, my arm
- 1:51:10Speaker 9: was post I mean absolutely, I dislocated and compound fractured
- 1:51:15Speaker 9: my radial head on my elbow right here, and then
- 1:51:18Speaker 9: my wrist.
- 1:51:18Speaker 1: So those of you listening, compound fracturings bone out.
- 1:51:20Speaker 9: Of the skin, bone out of the skin my wrist
- 1:51:22Speaker 9: as well, my radius right here. My olna was compounded
- 1:51:25Speaker 9: at yeah, yep, correct, right here. And I actually have
- 1:51:28Speaker 9: quite a bit of nerve damage, which it doesn't bother
- 1:51:30Speaker 9: It's just numb skin, you know, it doesn't feel that comfortable, but.
- 1:51:33Speaker 1: Just looks at it.
- 1:51:33Speaker 5: Is that from uh that's from the bone coming out
- 1:51:36Speaker 5: right here's nerve endings as it exactly. And sometimes it's
- 1:51:40Speaker 5: not like I can do everything.
- 1:51:41Speaker 9: My my my movement is good, but it's just a
- 1:51:43Speaker 9: skin that's.
- 1:51:44Speaker 5: That's a little irritated. I guess that's that's child's play.
- 1:51:47Speaker 5: That doesn't really bother me.
- 1:51:48Speaker 9: But I think the biggest thing was is the compartment
- 1:51:51Speaker 9: syndrome right after from the impact, so my arms started
- 1:51:53Speaker 9: swelling up in cords. Department syndrome is from a really
- 1:51:57Speaker 9: heavy impact or trauma and then your mumustle start swelling
- 1:52:01Speaker 9: and basically cuts off the blood supply. And when that
- 1:52:05Speaker 9: happens and your muscle starts dying, and once your muscle's dead,
- 1:52:08Speaker 9: you you can't you imputate your arms. So I was
- 1:52:10Speaker 9: like right on that edge where that could have happened.
- 1:52:14Speaker 9: So I ended up getting surgery. And because my wrist
- 1:52:16Speaker 9: everything was sand paper like it was just shattered into
- 1:52:19Speaker 9: a million pieces and dust.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: But when you're when you're talking about essentially your body
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: making its own little tournique to cut off the blood
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: blood supply pretty much exactly, how does that decision be made,
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: like the like the surgery amputation, because you're obviously I'm
- 1:52:32Speaker 2: assuming you got can cuss in that thing too.
- 1:52:34Speaker 9: Like no, actually my head was conscious, never out, never,
- 1:52:38Speaker 9: nothing had to be shocked.
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: You know what.
- 1:52:40Speaker 9: The crazy part is that besides this and down, I
- 1:52:44Speaker 9: had zero pain, no nothing, no way.
- 1:52:47Speaker 5: I wasn't even sore.
- 1:52:48Speaker 9: I mean, granted, maybe I don't know if I was
- 1:52:50Speaker 9: sore because that was taken off all my attention, but
- 1:52:52Speaker 9: it was literally elbowed down to my fingers or to
- 1:52:55Speaker 9: my wrists. Other than that, I was completely fine nothing,
- 1:52:59Speaker 9: And which is crazy because that impact you know, it
- 1:53:01Speaker 9: could I mean, it could have been shoulder, my chest,
- 1:53:03Speaker 9: my sturnum, just because I absolutely it's like facing a wall, right,
- 1:53:07Speaker 9: And you know, not all crashes are always and injuries
- 1:53:10Speaker 9: are always that bad. You know, I've broken my both
- 1:53:12Speaker 9: of my wrists before and gotten surgery on it, but
- 1:53:15Speaker 9: not to this extent. You know, like you're out for
- 1:53:17Speaker 9: for a couple of months or whatever, and that that's
- 1:53:19Speaker 9: still heavy. But this was a whole Now, this was
- 1:53:21Speaker 9: a career ending injury really, and that was so when
- 1:53:25Speaker 9: I was in the hospital surgery was done that I
- 1:53:27Speaker 9: completely kind of like dislodged myself from the sport a
- 1:53:30Speaker 9: little bit because it was so far away if I
- 1:53:32Speaker 9: was ever gonna be able to ride e race again,
- 1:53:34Speaker 9: it was so far away, and I just I kind
- 1:53:38Speaker 9: of just started even though I was in the hospital,
- 1:53:40Speaker 9: I just started enjoying that being there comfortable, and like,
- 1:53:44Speaker 9: am I gonna be able to race? I don't know,
- 1:53:46Speaker 9: so I might as well, Like I started started unfollowing
- 1:53:49Speaker 9: everybody from the sport, just like, yeah, it's the sport
- 1:53:52Speaker 9: that I loved, and I kind of like I was
- 1:53:53Speaker 9: a little mad, and like there was so many unknown questions.
- 1:53:56Speaker 9: I'm just like, man, I need to, like I need
- 1:53:57Speaker 9: to get away a little bit. You know, my parents
- 1:53:59Speaker 9: came over, and my parents have been separated for a
- 1:54:02Speaker 9: long time, but it was the first time in a
- 1:54:03Speaker 9: long time that like we all felt like a family again.
- 1:54:05Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:54:06Speaker 9: They came over and they were in Germany, So my
- 1:54:08Speaker 9: entire family is in Germany. So when that happened, my wife,
- 1:54:10Speaker 9: of course was constantly in contact with them. But it
- 1:54:13Speaker 9: was just a really heavy time of a lot of information,
- 1:54:17Speaker 9: and I hired my own therapist. Over two years, I
- 1:54:19Speaker 9: did my own therapy, Like I was constantly once I
- 1:54:22Speaker 9: was able to, I was constantly moving my skin to
- 1:54:24Speaker 9: just get sensation and just started moving trying to.
- 1:54:28Speaker 5: Figure out like like his brain has waves that basically
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: tell your arms and legs where to go, and by
- 1:54:34Speaker 5: touching it and feeling it, maybe even putting tape on
- 1:54:36Speaker 5: it sometimes all the time, allow that purple reception to
- 1:54:38Speaker 5: come back.
- 1:54:38Speaker 9: I actually I laid in the grass for a little
- 1:54:40Speaker 9: bit and started listening to David Goggins.
- 1:54:42Speaker 5: That's kind of like when I found out about David Gagin.
- 1:54:45Speaker 5: You know, I think he lives in brentwa He lives
- 1:54:46Speaker 5: like right up the road oh really, Yeah, I didn't
- 1:54:48Speaker 5: know that I heard.
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: I don't know if don't fact check me on that.
- 1:54:50Speaker 9: Anyway, Well, I started listening to this podcast back then,
- 1:54:52Speaker 9: and that's when he was kind of just starting to
- 1:54:54Speaker 9: like become noticed, and I'm like, oh, I'm gonna listen
- 1:54:56Speaker 9: to this guy and.
- 1:54:58Speaker 5: He's kind of like the one that made me.
- 1:55:00Speaker 9: I flipped the switch, like where I'm like, I'm freaking
- 1:55:03Speaker 9: doing this, and I just started hammering away.
- 1:55:07Speaker 5: Basically didn't give myself any room for air.
- 1:55:12Speaker 9: I told myself I was gonna come back and be
- 1:55:14Speaker 9: the best writer in the world, and just every single
- 1:55:18Speaker 9: day just grinded towards it.
- 1:55:19Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, I was at super early. Actually, I wish
- 1:55:22Speaker 5: I would have waited with that a little bit.
- 1:55:23Speaker 9: I started working out again, and like I had a
- 1:55:25Speaker 9: StairMaster in my house with my arm up in the air,
- 1:55:27Speaker 9: and I was just walking for hours on the StairMaster,
- 1:55:29Speaker 9: and I'm like, why did I even do that? Because
- 1:55:31Speaker 9: I was a year out from racing, you know what
- 1:55:34Speaker 9: I mean. But at the same time, I had to
- 1:55:35Speaker 9: keep myself busy a little bit. I wish I would
- 1:55:37Speaker 9: have taken that time to like maybe not work out
- 1:55:39Speaker 9: and kind of like actually take it as like, hey,
- 1:55:41Speaker 9: maybe let's rest a little bit, you know, and this
- 1:55:43Speaker 9: thing do its thing. But yeah, I just I started
- 1:55:46Speaker 9: working full speed ahead, and I think it came with
- 1:55:48Speaker 9: some other problems too. You know, I'm not the best
- 1:55:51Speaker 9: writer in the world, but I feel like the reason
- 1:55:53Speaker 9: I am back at the top level is because I
- 1:55:56Speaker 9: charged after my dream pretty much full speed, hiring my
- 1:55:59Speaker 9: own physical therapists and and even at night, I was
- 1:56:03Speaker 9: just constantly moving it. You know, elbow is a pain
- 1:56:05Speaker 9: in the ass to get range of motion back. Like
- 1:56:06Speaker 9: my elbow I still can't lock it out, and my
- 1:56:08Speaker 9: wrists are super stiff. But yeah, it's I mean, it's
- 1:56:12Speaker 9: good now because I have just healed over years. Like
- 1:56:15Speaker 9: I kid you, not three years later.
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: I how many surgeries?
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: Mmm?
- 1:56:19Speaker 9: I think on my left arm was eleven or twelve.
- 1:56:22Speaker 9: There were eight in the first three weeks. I mean,
- 1:56:24Speaker 9: it was just constant. And yeah, I backed it up
- 1:56:27Speaker 9: a year later with destroying my right hand and that
- 1:56:30Speaker 9: was almost a career ending injury too.
- 1:56:31Speaker 5: So there were just a couple of years of like shit.
- 1:56:34Speaker 9: Going on, you know what I mean, And then it's
- 1:56:37Speaker 9: been a really tough road ever since. But I'm in
- 1:56:39Speaker 9: a good spot now and I'm starting to get older too,
- 1:56:42Speaker 9: But I'm having more fun now than i I've had
- 1:56:45Speaker 9: in a long long time.
- 1:56:46Speaker 1: And that's ultimately what it's all about.
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: Right when you when you say at the end of
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: that sentence, I'm getting a little older too. Is there
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: is there a piece of anybody who's able to play
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: a professional sport, whatever category it is, and it always
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: comes for them.
- 1:57:01Speaker 1: Have you ever put that in your mind?
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: Because at one point in our lives, all you thought
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: about was I'm gonna do this forever. All I thought
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: about was I'm gonna do football forever. But at some
- 1:57:07Speaker 2: point it comes to get us all like father time
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: comes and gets us. What are you know from a
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: transition standpoint, not saying it's gonna happen anytime soon, but
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: have you put any thought into that?
- 1:57:17Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean sometimes so retirement used to always sound
- 1:57:19Speaker 9: so far away. I'm turning twenty nine tomorrow, so I'm
- 1:57:22Speaker 9: not old by any means.
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: But for our sport, a lot of the great so
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: once you hit thirty, it's pretty much over.
- 1:57:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean all of it.
- 1:57:28Speaker 9: We've we're kind of changing the stigma around the sport
- 1:57:30Speaker 9: a little bit. Because everybody before us, the great they
- 1:57:33Speaker 9: stopped at twenty seven, which is super early, but there's
- 1:57:36Speaker 9: just a lot of there was a lot of stuff
- 1:57:37Speaker 9: going on with overtraining and just getting burnt out and
- 1:57:39Speaker 9: basically being over it, and I think we have all
- 1:57:41Speaker 9: kind of tried to uh steer away from that and
- 1:57:44Speaker 9: prolong our career because if I'm being honest, like I'm
- 1:57:47Speaker 9: a little afraid of retirement, not gonna.
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: Like, yeah, that's a totally normal thing to do in general.
- 1:57:52Speaker 9: I'm a busybody and I have a lot of hobbies
- 1:57:54Speaker 9: and all of this, But at the same time, I've
- 1:57:56Speaker 9: done this my entire life, and I'm just super scared
- 1:57:58Speaker 9: of falling into a just have a big hole somewhere.
- 1:58:03Speaker 9: You know that this sport gets tough, and does that
- 1:58:05Speaker 9: do I feel like sometimes I want to be done
- 1:58:07Speaker 9: with it, absolutely, But then to actually really pull the
- 1:58:10Speaker 9: plug is a whole other story.
- 1:58:11Speaker 5: But that all sounded so far away. But now like
- 1:58:13Speaker 5: last year, you know, I wasn't.
- 1:58:15Speaker 9: I was in a really shit spot, you know, with
- 1:58:17Speaker 9: my with my health and just even mantis like I
- 1:58:20Speaker 9: was so burnt out on everything and been with the
- 1:58:22Speaker 9: same team for six years that wasn't working anymore by
- 1:58:24Speaker 9: any means, and I made a huge change and followed
- 1:58:28Speaker 9: my heart, honestly, like big time move, going with the
- 1:58:31Speaker 9: progressive ex Or Suzuki team and the pious family.
- 1:58:34Speaker 5: They have taken me in and we have worked full
- 1:58:37Speaker 5: speed ahead.
- 1:58:38Speaker 9: We were basically underdogs coming in the season and we
- 1:58:41Speaker 9: ended up pulling off up until now we have a
- 1:58:43Speaker 9: few podiums and we have one big win in Indianapolis.
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: Yeah, and.
- 1:58:49Speaker 9: It was a lot of work, but my entire life
- 1:58:52Speaker 9: changed from I feel like being stagnant and just standing
- 1:58:55Speaker 9: in the same spot and being unhappy, pulling a big
- 1:58:58Speaker 9: move and following my gut and just working towards it
- 1:59:00Speaker 9: and kind of like re.
- 1:59:02Speaker 5: Just restarting my career a little.
- 1:59:04Speaker 9: Bit and my eager and just kind of learn how
- 1:59:07Speaker 9: to just be badass again.
- 1:59:09Speaker 5: And and I'm nowhere near where I want to be.
- 1:59:11Speaker 9: But we we had it tough because it was the
- 1:59:14Speaker 9: season was about to start. I made the switch, and
- 1:59:16Speaker 9: I had three weeks on the bike and we had
- 1:59:18Speaker 9: to do a lot of work to the bike and
- 1:59:19Speaker 9: develop it more and more and more. We're the only
- 1:59:21Speaker 9: bike with a kickstart out there, which is kind of cool.
- 1:59:24Speaker 9: We've taken I've taken full advantage of it.
- 1:59:25Speaker 5: I have fun with this.
- 1:59:27Speaker 9: It's old school, but you know, I sometimes get made
- 1:59:30Speaker 9: fun of in the beginning of the season when I
- 1:59:32Speaker 9: was kicking my bike because I saw like I was
- 1:59:34Speaker 9: bumming around on the track and I stalled it on
- 1:59:35Speaker 9: the side like a dumb ass, right, and I'm trying
- 1:59:37Speaker 9: to fight a neutral And at that point, I was
- 1:59:39Speaker 9: still pretty new to the kickstart again. But I'm like,
- 1:59:41Speaker 9: what's so funny? Like we have kickstarted bikes for longer
- 1:59:44Speaker 9: than we have electric started it, you know what I mean.
- 1:59:46Speaker 9: So I've just taken advantage of the situation. And we
- 1:59:49Speaker 9: have a kickstarter, there's no denying it, and I have
- 1:59:51Speaker 9: fun with it. So I make fun of myself. We
- 1:59:55Speaker 9: chromed out my kickstarter at one point just to highlight it,
- 1:59:58Speaker 9: you know what I mean.
- 1:59:58Speaker 5: And people love it.
- 1:59:59Speaker 9: Like the support that we've gotten from the fans each
- 2:00:02Speaker 9: and every weekend is so rad to see because it's
- 2:00:06Speaker 9: it's totally different. We're we're pretty much privateer team, and
- 2:00:09Speaker 9: we run a lot of dock parts with sponsors, of course,
- 2:00:14Speaker 9: but we're doing our own thing and we're we're all
- 2:00:17Speaker 9: pulling on the same string, and we do whatever is
- 2:00:19Speaker 9: best for the bike and for a rider, that's all
- 2:00:21Speaker 9: you want that, you know, I've been more on bad
- 2:00:23Speaker 9: bikes in my career than i've been on really good bikes,
- 2:00:26Speaker 9: and now simply because of when you're with factory. Team
- 2:00:29Speaker 9: is a huge ego and you're always working in a
- 2:00:31Speaker 9: little box and we tend to venture out left and right,
- 2:00:35Speaker 9: throw the kitchen sink at the bike. And that's the
- 2:00:37Speaker 9: only reason why we are where we are because that's
- 2:00:40Speaker 9: how we found out a lot of things and we
- 2:00:42Speaker 9: started learning. And yeah, we're just we're just all working
- 2:00:46Speaker 9: in the same direction.
- 2:00:47Speaker 5: And it's such a breath of fresh air. Yeah, you
- 2:00:48Speaker 5: feel good about it. Absolutely. It seems like a calming
- 2:00:51Speaker 5: feeling for you.
- 2:00:52Speaker 1: Yeah, it is that.
- 2:00:53Speaker 9: Yeah, And because I'm calm when we're at least doing
- 2:00:56Speaker 9: whatever we can to improve and then if it's not
- 2:00:59Speaker 9: in our car, so be it. But we tried anything
- 2:01:01Speaker 9: and everything, you know, and and not just me personally,
- 2:01:04Speaker 9: but everybody else on the team.
- 2:01:05Speaker 5: So yeah, that that's that's all I want.
- 2:01:08Speaker 11: You know.
- 2:01:09Speaker 5: Results are always winning is of course I want to win.
- 2:01:11Speaker 9: But they've had great rides or races where I rode better,
- 2:01:15Speaker 9: and you know, finished on a podium a third or
- 2:01:17Speaker 9: whatever and not one, but rode a lot better. And
- 2:01:20Speaker 9: I'm content with that because sometimes you shit's out of
- 2:01:24Speaker 9: your control, you go down on the start, you come
- 2:01:26Speaker 9: back and you can finish a fourth, but if that's
- 2:01:28Speaker 9: really important for the championship, you're not on the podium,
- 2:01:31Speaker 9: but you had a hell of a ride. That's what
- 2:01:33Speaker 9: I base my feelings off of. You know how much
- 2:01:35Speaker 9: effort I am, the team I put in.
- 2:01:37Speaker 2: When I uh first got this opportunity was Bitch reached
- 2:01:40Speaker 2: out about Supercross and they were giving us an awesome
- 2:01:44Speaker 2: opportunity to speak with you and they're telling me you're
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: a fan favorite.
- 2:01:48Speaker 1: What like, well, how does that feel?
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: The kind of be the face of a of a
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: massive sport and know that like fans have your back
- 2:01:54Speaker 2: wherever you're going.
- 2:01:55Speaker 5: It's it's the coolest thing ever.
- 2:01:57Speaker 9: I mean, I I was en route to get a
- 2:01:59Speaker 9: lot of championships, but it just with this injury and
- 2:02:02Speaker 9: it just unfortunately didn't happen the way we planned. And
- 2:02:05Speaker 9: I'm in content with it. I'm fine with it. I
- 2:02:08Speaker 9: think we get thrown at ass only what we can handle.
- 2:02:11Speaker 9: And even though it gets tough at times, right, But
- 2:02:14Speaker 9: I guess I don't speak that about myself, but if
- 2:02:17Speaker 9: people say that I'm one of the fan favorites, it's
- 2:02:20Speaker 9: it's I'm honored, honestly. During this injury too, I've gotten
- 2:02:25Speaker 9: so many messages of me helping people because I think
- 2:02:28Speaker 9: that was right before I started like really kicking ass
- 2:02:35Speaker 9: and what I wanted, even though the odds were stacked
- 2:02:37Speaker 9: against me and it was a situation that could be
- 2:02:40Speaker 9: super bummed about and just fizzle down the drain and
- 2:02:42Speaker 9: make nothing out of it, but I decided not to
- 2:02:45Speaker 9: and it helped so many other people that were in
- 2:02:47Speaker 9: a shit situation as well. So even just that alone,
- 2:02:50Speaker 9: you know, it made it all worth it. And I'm
- 2:02:52Speaker 9: honestly just being myself. I've always been a kid that
- 2:02:55Speaker 9: has been very open. I talk to anybody, I hang
- 2:02:59Speaker 9: out with anybody. I'm an extrovert actually, so it made
- 2:03:03Speaker 9: things a lot easier just because I can interact with fans.
- 2:03:05Speaker 9: And of course when it comes to the writing side
- 2:03:08Speaker 9: of things, you know, I like to have fun, throw whibs,
- 2:03:10Speaker 9: do knack knacks, but race at the very very top
- 2:03:13Speaker 9: level at the same time and just do cool shit
- 2:03:15Speaker 9: like I feel like everybody or a lot of people
- 2:03:18Speaker 9: tend to go like robots, you know, and this boor
- 2:03:21Speaker 9: like it consumes all of us. Don't get me wrong,
- 2:03:23Speaker 9: but I tend to have fun and do some freestyle stuff,
- 2:03:27Speaker 9: free writing, and hang out with people from that are
- 2:03:31Speaker 9: more in the freestyle world, and just entertain my people
- 2:03:35Speaker 9: Instagram followers and everything.
- 2:03:37Speaker 5: But it comes naturally to me.
- 2:03:38Speaker 9: I have fun doing that, so when I can offer
- 2:03:40Speaker 9: stuff to them and I get a lot of good
- 2:03:42Speaker 9: feedback on it, it's super broad.
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: It's a vulnerable place, being able to put yourself, especially
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: on Instagram, sharing your story of being hurt, working through that,
- 2:03:50Speaker 2: showing your process, but a lot of good things.
- 2:03:53Speaker 1: Yeah, that's amazing. Yeah, it's being transparent, and.
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: Especially in the world we live in today, is one
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: of the hardest things to do because so many people
- 2:03:59Speaker 2: via social media want to take advantage of your vulnerability.
- 2:04:02Speaker 1: Freeing though, Yeah, it really is.
- 2:04:03Speaker 5: Because once you just live out there, there's really no
- 2:04:05Speaker 5: skeletons that there's no there's no one in the back room.
- 2:04:08Speaker 2: Knocking on the door saying, hey, the truth's here. You're
- 2:04:10Speaker 2: telling everybody the truth. You're telling everybody how you actually
- 2:04:12Speaker 2: feel good or bad. It makes you feel a whole
- 2:04:14Speaker 2: lot better.
- 2:04:15Speaker 9: I feel like people, or at least me, I get
- 2:04:17Speaker 9: a lot more uncomfortable if I have shit piled up
- 2:04:19Speaker 9: in me and I don't talk about it.
- 2:04:21Speaker 1: Like I'm and people can feel that too, yeah.
- 2:04:23Speaker 5: And especially problems.
- 2:04:24Speaker 9: And it didn't used to be like that, but at
- 2:04:26Speaker 9: some point I did, so when I talk to my
- 2:04:28Speaker 9: friends or whatever, like I'm open about when people struggle,
- 2:04:30Speaker 9: because I've been uncomfortable at times because it was all
- 2:04:34Speaker 9: new to me, like just being uncomfortable and just mentally
- 2:04:36Speaker 9: and just not in the right place and it's not
- 2:04:39Speaker 9: a fun spot to be. And so once I once
- 2:04:41Speaker 9: I started opening up to people, and it's just when
- 2:04:43Speaker 9: people know, and it doesn't have to be strangers or anything,
- 2:04:47Speaker 9: but like at least people around you, when they know
- 2:04:49Speaker 9: how you feel and everything, it just made it made
- 2:04:53Speaker 9: you feel like the understanding you're just not alone. Right,
- 2:04:55Speaker 9: So I don't know, I tend to be more of
- 2:04:57Speaker 9: an open book. And in the end, people try to
- 2:04:59Speaker 9: hie and training and you know, I'm like, we're all
- 2:05:02Speaker 9: do the freaking same thing. I just have fun with it.
- 2:05:04Speaker 9: I post my workout, you know, whatever I do and
- 2:05:07Speaker 9: I'm like, if people want to follow it, not everything
- 2:05:09Speaker 9: works for everybody the same way, you know what I mean.
- 2:05:11Speaker 9: So I've just I've taken that ego down and I've
- 2:05:14Speaker 9: just started to enjoy it and let people in and
- 2:05:16Speaker 9: people are appreciative.
- 2:05:17Speaker 1: And it's cool. That's awesome. Man.
- 2:05:19Speaker 2: I know, I know we're probably running out of time here,
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: but I have one more question.
- 2:05:24Speaker 5: If I am three five.
- 2:05:27Speaker 2: Years old getting into dirt bikes and I wanted to
- 2:05:29Speaker 2: see a blueprint of how to race and supercross, what
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: is the what does the process look like for the
- 2:05:36Speaker 2: individual just learning out about supercross and the process of
- 2:05:39Speaker 2: how to get from an amateur to become at the
- 2:05:42Speaker 2: spot you are now.
- 2:05:44Speaker 9: Yeah, So I think it all has to start with
- 2:05:47Speaker 9: fun and games. Like you, I think you can't force it,
- 2:05:50Speaker 9: or I wouldn't want to force it. My son loves
- 2:05:53Speaker 9: bikes of any kind, and for us, it all started
- 2:05:57Speaker 9: off as fun and games and what's cool about it.
- 2:06:00Speaker 5: It's a little bit I guess the amateurs here.
- 2:06:02Speaker 9: I didn't really grow up racing amateurs in the US,
- 2:06:04Speaker 9: Like I know, I've raced Loretta Lynz, which is the
- 2:06:08Speaker 9: biggest amateur race there is every single year and it's
- 2:06:12Speaker 9: about a week's worth of racing. It's kind of like
- 2:06:14Speaker 9: the Olympics in a way, the week worth of racing
- 2:06:17Speaker 9: from fifty cts meaning little dudes to thirty plus and yeah,
- 2:06:23Speaker 9: Mini Olympics Florida. That was one of my first ones
- 2:06:25Speaker 9: that I ever went to in the US. But it
- 2:06:28Speaker 9: all start as funning games for me as a kid.
- 2:06:30Speaker 9: And I think what my parents loved is the camping
- 2:06:32Speaker 9: side of things us going to the races. And I
- 2:06:34Speaker 9: made so many friends and we were not on our
- 2:06:36Speaker 9: iPads or playing PlayStation. We were out building jumps and
- 2:06:39Speaker 9: it all started as that. And you know, as I
- 2:06:42Speaker 9: got better and better, we know, you start local, you
- 2:06:45Speaker 9: mentor out and before you know it, if that's what
- 2:06:48Speaker 9: you want to do, you hit some of the big
- 2:06:50Speaker 9: time amateur championships I guess, which is many Olympics in
- 2:06:55Speaker 9: Florida and Loretta lynz Is. I think everybody that has
- 2:06:59Speaker 9: one tie here in the US, they have gone through
- 2:07:02Speaker 9: the amateur racist like that.
- 2:07:04Speaker 5: So that's awesome but fun. That's all I can say, is.
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: No doubt that was It was truly my first passion
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: in life, just getting on a dirt bike and riding.
- 2:07:13Speaker 9: And we tend to forget to write, like when things
- 2:07:15Speaker 9: get tough, especially once you once you do become pro
- 2:07:17Speaker 9: and everything, and then sometimes you're like, man, like you're
- 2:07:20Speaker 9: more you know, just uncomfortable and it doesn't feel right.
- 2:07:24Speaker 9: But I have learned to let go of some things
- 2:07:26Speaker 9: and really focus on the task at hand and and
- 2:07:30Speaker 9: be engaged in the sport and find the fun again.
- 2:07:32Speaker 9: And just that way you alleviate pressure off of yourself
- 2:07:35Speaker 9: and you start doing better. So I think the biggest
- 2:07:38Speaker 9: thing is you got to start with it being fun.
- 2:07:40Speaker 2: Well, I appreciate you coming on. Man, this has been awesome.
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: Thank you be great to meet you. I can't wait
- 2:07:44Speaker 2: to watch your race tomorrow. It's gonna be awesome. For
- 2:07:46Speaker 2: those of you listening, please subscribe, rate five stars, and
- 2:07:49Speaker 2: thank you for joining us on Busting with the Boys.
