- 0:38Speaker 2: to blow and how to avoid the explosive diarrhea strain.
- 0:46Speaker 2: That's all probably coming up inside.
- 0:48Speaker 3: The Treehouse show today.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Before we get started on any of those, the first
- 0:53Speaker 2: thing I need to share with you, and I need
- 0:55Speaker 2: to share with my good buddy Trey, is.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Do you like my haircut?
- 1:02Speaker 4: I do?
- 1:02Speaker 1: It looks very very clean lines.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it's sharp, properly faded, and I'm glad you brought
- 1:12Speaker 2: that up.
- 1:12Speaker 3: The sharp aspect. Is it just me? Or do I
- 1:16Speaker 3: look a little Puerto Rican?
- 1:19Speaker 4: I do not feel like you look Puerto Rican.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I feel like it because like when he did the clippers,
- 1:27Speaker 2: he got really he really manicured along that side front.
- 1:33Speaker 3: I don't even know what this is called.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It's like the area above, like directly above your sideburn
- 1:38Speaker 2: where your hair stops and your forehead starts.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Kind of thing. It's your hairline, the temple.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Yeah, well he got his he got his super clippers
- 1:46Speaker 2: in there, and he he manicured it very finely, and
- 1:49Speaker 2: he actually narrowed the space a little bit, and then
- 1:53Speaker 2: he narrowed my sideburns in such a fashion where I
- 1:56Speaker 2: was like, hold up there, cowboy. I am not used
- 2:02Speaker 2: to a professional haircut. Okay, in recent years I have
- 2:08Speaker 2: gone towards sort of a DIY haircut situation.
- 2:12Speaker 4: Are you floaby in it?
- 2:14Speaker 2: I wish man if if if Ron pop Peele could
- 2:19Speaker 2: bring back that flowby, Okay, if someone could bring back
- 2:22Speaker 2: Ron po Peel to then give me an updated version
- 2:27Speaker 2: of the Flowby, I would be.
- 2:29Speaker 4: All over the flob not still around.
- 2:31Speaker 2: You know what I need to check. I need to
- 2:33Speaker 2: check Amazon to see if it's still there. I mean,
- 2:35Speaker 2: if you just want like an all around even cut,
- 2:39Speaker 2: I guess the flowbee is is.
- 2:43Speaker 3: A good option.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I've never used one, but I have like different links
- 2:48Speaker 2: of things I need, like layers and fades as such.
- 2:51Speaker 1: So in twenty five years of friendship, this is a
- 2:56Speaker 1: conversation we've never had. All Right, So when you get
- 2:59Speaker 1: a haircut, Is it all clippers or do they use scissors?
- 3:03Speaker 3: It's mostly clippers, especially when I do it.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Like can you can you go to a black barber?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Uh? I assume I'm allowed? I mean no, I'm just saying,
- 3:17Speaker 2: like I I they if they, if they, if they
- 3:20Speaker 2: turned me away for being white, I really couldn't be
- 3:22Speaker 2: too mad because I probably haven't come in as far
- 3:24Speaker 2: as concerned.
- 3:25Speaker 1: So it's not that it's like but you know, that's
- 3:27Speaker 1: a lot of clipper and lines. I mean, which you
- 3:31Speaker 1: know you have a very clean cut right now, I am.
- 3:35Speaker 3: I am right there. I got the Latin style, Okay.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So I went to the barber and, like I said,
- 3:40Speaker 2: you know, during COVID, when all the barber shops and
- 3:44Speaker 2: haircut places were all shut down, I experimented a couple
- 3:47Speaker 2: of times did my own.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Hair and it didn't go very well.
- 3:50Speaker 2: But since that time, I mean that's been like five years, uh,
- 3:55Speaker 2: and so I've decided to try a little bit on
- 3:58Speaker 2: my own on occasion because I I need haircut like
- 4:00Speaker 2: every three weeks because it grows like the Amazon. So
- 4:04Speaker 2: I try to space out when I get a professional haircut, right,
- 4:08Speaker 2: And then I've just kind of gotten into the routine
- 4:11Speaker 2: of just doing it myself. And it's not perfect by
- 4:13Speaker 2: any stretch of the imagination, like Tera has to kind
- 4:16Speaker 2: of clean up what a mess up, But it's passable.
- 4:18Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I'll be perfectly honest with you. Now, I notice that
- 4:26Speaker 1: you know your haircut isn't as clean and sharp or
- 4:31Speaker 1: hasn't been since you've said you just got a professional cut.
- 4:34Speaker 4: And I look at it now, so.
- 4:37Speaker 2: You know you're now noticing the hatchet job I've been
- 4:39Speaker 2: giving myself. You did even realize it until I got
- 4:42Speaker 2: a pro job. Yes, thanks for noticing. You probably wouldn't
- 4:49Speaker 2: have had I just said nothing, But here we are.
- 4:51Speaker 2: I needed to share this with you because I really did,
- 4:54Speaker 2: Like it's really manicured. Like it's hard to tell from
- 4:57Speaker 2: where you're sitting and to see it, but like when
- 5:00Speaker 2: I got home, I was like, oh my goodness, that's
- 5:03Speaker 2: that's a I honestly.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Would have just assumed that.
- 5:09Speaker 1: You just get a better haircut in the States than
- 5:11Speaker 1: you had been in the Islands.
- 5:14Speaker 2: There there are good barbers there, and there's there's a
- 5:18Speaker 2: girl that that Terra goes to for her hair.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And she'll occasionally do mine.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I just haven't done it in a long time because
- 5:24Speaker 2: I'm like, this is fifty bucks that I could save
- 5:28Speaker 2: and just do it myself. The eye opening thing today
- 5:33Speaker 2: at the barber was my fifty dollars Island haircut. Where
- 5:36Speaker 2: I live is now a bargain because the place I
- 5:42Speaker 2: went to today in Nyak, New York, just the haircut
- 5:46Speaker 2: was forty two bucks. As I'm looking at the menu
- 5:51Speaker 2: of services, it just goes up from there. Now, if
- 5:56Speaker 2: I just wanted a clipper only cut one link, that
- 6:00Speaker 2: would have been like twenty five or thirty something bucks.
- 6:02Speaker 2: But you know, with layers, it's forty two. Forty two
- 6:04Speaker 2: is a basic haircut. That's where you're starting. If you
- 6:08Speaker 2: want a beard trim, that was like another fifteen or
- 6:11Speaker 2: twenty bucks. If you wanted a clean shave, that was
- 6:15Speaker 2: gonna be something astronomical. If you wanted a shampoo, that
- 6:20Speaker 2: was like another ten, fifteen to twenty bucks. I mean,
- 6:23Speaker 2: so if I wanted what I would normally get at
- 6:26Speaker 2: the barber, a haircut, clean up my facial hair a
- 6:30Speaker 2: little bit, and a shampoo to rinse it all out,
- 6:33Speaker 2: I would have been looking at like a hundred bucks
- 6:35Speaker 2: out the door, and I said, you know what, just
- 6:38Speaker 2: a haircut thing.
- 6:39Speaker 1: So and I don't this is going to come off
- 6:41Speaker 1: really dicky, and I don't mean it to. But how
- 6:44Speaker 1: the fuck is your haircut more expensive than mine?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Location? That's my guess. I mean it might have been
- 6:52Speaker 3: the place.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Listen I have if you want to talk about.
- 6:56Speaker 1: The only functional, long long term relationships I have are
- 7:00Speaker 1: with my stylist, I mean Vince I was. He and
- 7:04Speaker 1: I were together for twenty plus years and then he died.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And then I've been with Preston for you know, going
- 7:13Speaker 1: on ten years now.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I guess, yeah, ten years.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So, uh, I I've those are only my only functional
- 7:23Speaker 1: long term relationships.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Is your hairstylists who happened to be men.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Okay, And you know what, as long as you're happy, buddy,
- 7:33Speaker 2: I'm here to support you in whatever way I can.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I listen.
- 7:37Speaker 3: As long as you're happy, I get that.
- 7:41Speaker 2: So before, well before I ventured off into making the
- 7:45Speaker 2: attempts of cutting my own hair, I had my Triva
- 7:49Speaker 2: and I still have Triva. She is, like you, Trey.
- 7:53Speaker 2: One of my longest running relationships in my life, the
- 7:58Speaker 2: people that I have known the longest and am still
- 8:01Speaker 2: in contact with in a positive way. Family, my buddy
- 8:09Speaker 2: Brian met when we were twelve. Triva my barber. Since
- 8:15Speaker 2: the age of like fifteen. I started going to her
- 8:19Speaker 2: at Heflin's. I think it was Heflin's hairplace, Heflin's barbershop
- 8:23Speaker 2: on Fielder in Arlington, when I was fifteen. I am
- 8:28Speaker 2: now forty six years old. To think about it, I've
- 8:33Speaker 2: been going to her since I was fifteen. There are
- 8:36Speaker 2: not many other people that have cut my hair since then.
- 8:40Speaker 2: She's now got like her own little place in a
- 8:42Speaker 2: salon sweetened Pantigo.
- 8:44Speaker 3: So like if I.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Wanted my haircut, I'm driving from Dallas to a Pantego,
- 8:50Speaker 2: risking speeding tickets like you wouldn't believe because it's pantigo
- 8:56Speaker 2: and they don't mess around you.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Come down that hill are waiting.
- 9:04Speaker 2: So anyway, and going to Triva for that many years,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I think I'm grandfathered in at like fourteen dollars. I
- 9:13Speaker 2: think I think my first haircut with her was like
- 9:16Speaker 2: twelve bucks. Her rates have gone up some in line
- 9:20Speaker 2: with you know, cost of living increases and things, but
- 9:23Speaker 2: I still think a normal haircut for her at her
- 9:25Speaker 2: place is like twenty twenty five bucks, and that includes
- 9:29Speaker 2: the straight razor next shave a little trim here and there.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean a barbershop shave is it's a wonderful
- 9:37Speaker 1: experience when they really especially if they do at old
- 9:41Speaker 1: school with the hot towels and a straight razor.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And this place would have done that, they had all
- 9:47Speaker 2: the stuff for it. But I don't want to spend
- 9:49Speaker 2: another fifty dollars for that.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I honestly like, I just hand Pressed in sixty bucks,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and I I probably should ask him if I need
- 10:00Speaker 1: to up that because I've been doing the same price.
- 10:02Speaker 1: Like I just I think the haircuts are forty forty five,
- 10:07Speaker 1: So I just.
- 10:07Speaker 4: Hand him sixty. I don't know. I really probably should
- 10:10Speaker 4: ask him if he's going up and I need to.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Up my When did you start going to see him?
- 10:15Speaker 1: I said, like ten years ago and at one point
- 10:17Speaker 1: away from fifty to sixty, and then I haven't it.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And actually I've known Pressed the long enough and we're friends.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He would actually tell me.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Just go, hey, it's going up, as he's just pointing
- 10:29Speaker 2: to his empty home. Give me the cash, tariffs, inflation,
- 10:36Speaker 2: whatever it is, give me the cash.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Yeah. So I have not seen state side barber prices,
- 10:44Speaker 3: and I'm and where I'm staying right now.
- 10:46Speaker 2: There are a lot of barber shops. The only thing
- 10:48Speaker 2: is this was the only one that was actually opened.
- 10:50Speaker 2: The other one wasn't opened to like eleven one was
- 10:52Speaker 2: closed today. I was like, can you get me in,
- 10:54Speaker 2: give me a haircut?
- 10:55Speaker 3: That's it.
- 10:55Speaker 2: But I assume because there's so many, they're all probably
- 10:58Speaker 2: commit to the price. But yeah, once you start throwing
- 11:02Speaker 2: in all the additional services plus a tip, and.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It's gonna be one hundred dollars. Screw that.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Well, it looks very nice.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Thank you. I appreciate that.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Still, Like, like if you could see it up close,
- 11:15Speaker 2: you'd be like, yeah, that's kind of weird, looking like
- 11:17Speaker 2: it's almost vulcan ish right around that little spot right there.
- 11:22Speaker 3: First world problems, I know. Anyway, enough about me. How
- 11:28Speaker 3: are you today? You look a little sleepy.
- 11:30Speaker 4: I'm tired.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Why are you so tired? Tray?
- 11:34Speaker 4: Well, I have been.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Doing really well and being being very disciplined about watching
- 11:43Speaker 1: an episode of TV, turning it off, going to bed.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 11:49Speaker 4: And for some reason, and I think part of it,
- 11:51Speaker 4: like so.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I already had one person used to be too one person,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and had five pillows on my bed okay, okay. I
- 12:05Speaker 1: then I got a new duvet cover which came with
- 12:07Speaker 1: some decorative pillow shams.
- 12:09Speaker 4: So I bought two more pillows. Now I have seven
- 12:11Speaker 4: pillows on.
- 12:12Speaker 1: My bed and uh and and it's very comfortable.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I'm I'm and so at some point I've started now
- 12:31Speaker 4: falling asleep. Here's here's picture.
- 12:36Speaker 2: So, oh is this your actual bedroom? Uh huh oh
- 12:39Speaker 2: la la. So all right, folks, it's happening. Trey's giving
- 12:43Speaker 2: us a tour of the new Bachelor pad. So this
- 12:46Speaker 2: is the portion of MTV Cribs where we say, this
- 12:50Speaker 2: is where the disappointment happened.
- 12:52Speaker 4: This is where the loneliness takes place.
- 12:57Speaker 3: This is where tray masterbates fevers.
- 13:05Speaker 2: And which, really, if you can't love yourself, who love?
- 13:09Speaker 3: So?
- 13:12Speaker 1: I used to like space. I take medication to sleep,
- 13:15Speaker 1: and so I used to space it out. Now I
- 13:17Speaker 1: in order to I try to be at the latest
- 13:22Speaker 1: of sleep, not in bed asleep by midnight. Okay, I
- 13:27Speaker 1: try to be up around six am. But I've the
- 13:33Speaker 1: last couple of nights I have since I got the
- 13:35Speaker 1: extra pillows, and I've been falling asleep again while watching TV.
- 13:40Speaker 4: And you don't sleep well when you do that.
- 13:42Speaker 3: M h.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I don't know even how long.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I'm not even sure what time I woke up turned
- 13:49Speaker 1: everything off, but I was in a big pile of pillows,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and then I woke up and realized the TV was
- 13:54Speaker 1: still on. The only way I actually really know how
- 13:56Speaker 1: long I was there is I'll have to go back
- 13:58Speaker 1: and see, because I generally will flip on the Big
- 14:01Speaker 1: Bang theory as something I at the end of the
- 14:05Speaker 1: night makes me laugh, you know, just turn it off,
- 14:10Speaker 1: go to bed, seen all the episodes, not missing anything.
- 14:14Speaker 4: There's no like, oh my god, I got to see
- 14:16Speaker 4: this next ye.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It's comfortable, it's soothing. Yeah, I get it.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 1: And then I but like, I'll have to go back
- 14:24Speaker 1: and see how many episodes? Where where did I turn
- 14:27Speaker 1: it off?
- 14:27Speaker 4: Did I sleep through you know, six episodes? Eight? Four?
- 14:31Speaker 1: I don't know, but whatever it was when I I
- 14:36Speaker 1: you just don't get any quality of sleep. So I
- 14:39Speaker 1: slept like crap, and I'm tired as hell and understood
- 14:43Speaker 1: still got up, walked, walked jog three miles this morning and.
- 14:48Speaker 4: M yeah, yeah, trying to do the two a day thing.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I get that that works out, especially if
- 14:56Speaker 2: you have time when you're single, that's a great thing
- 14:58Speaker 2: to do. Wake up in the morning, go out, I
- 15:00Speaker 2: do some cardio thing, and then in the evening maybe
- 15:02Speaker 2: do some weight so that two a days is great.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Then when if you find somebody you get in a relationship,
- 15:06Speaker 2: then you have to knock that down because you know
- 15:08Speaker 2: you guys spend time. But when you're single, that's a
- 15:13Speaker 2: good schedule to keep keep you out of trouble too.
- 15:17Speaker 2: And I understand being tired. That's how I was yesterday.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I was upfront and honest with you about that. Yesterday
- 15:22Speaker 2: I was running on caffeine and hope and I got through.
- 15:25Speaker 2: And I'll get you through to this today, buddy, I
- 15:27Speaker 2: got you. Uh So you drag all the ass you need,
- 15:30Speaker 2: I will pick it up and carry it for you.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Well, I'm now in my fourth coffee, so woh uh.
- 15:38Speaker 2: And speaking of dragging ass, here's a segue. We are
- 15:43Speaker 2: doing everything we can to avoid the explosive diarrhea strain
- 15:48Speaker 2: that is spreading the nation, that is spreading around the nation.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And we have noticed, thanks to news reports, that three
- 16:02Speaker 2: of the hottest hot beds for the explosive diarrhea strain
- 16:06Speaker 2: are Texas, New York, So you're in Texas, so you're
- 16:12Speaker 2: in third place.
- 16:13Speaker 3: New York is number two, where we currently are number one.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Last I checked is Michigan, which is where we're going
- 16:22Speaker 2: in a couple of days.
- 16:24Speaker 3: So we seem to.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Be chasing the explosive diarrhea strain around the nation. We'll
- 16:31Speaker 2: eventually end up in Texas. I'm hoping that that strain
- 16:34Speaker 2: is gone by the time we get there. But as
- 16:36Speaker 2: it is, we are really playing with some butt fire.
- 16:43Speaker 2: We're avoiding produce fresh produce, and trying to do everything
- 16:49Speaker 2: we can to avoid the explosive diarrhea strain, with the
- 16:51Speaker 2: exception of being in or going to be in two
- 16:57Speaker 2: of the areas that are most affected. Soh god, this sucks.
- 17:04Speaker 2: And it's really I just don't want to get that.
- 17:08Speaker 4: I mean, I don't think anyone does. And it's weird.
- 17:12Speaker 4: They have not figured out the source.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Usually when they have these kind of outbreaks, they're pretty
- 17:18Speaker 1: good about figuring out because usually I mean, it's a
- 17:22Speaker 1: lettuce or something that they can trace back to a
- 17:25Speaker 1: farm and or a processor or whatever.
- 17:28Speaker 4: They don't have to seem to have a clue on
- 17:30Speaker 4: this one.
- 17:31Speaker 2: So you say that you don't think anyone wants to
- 17:34Speaker 2: get this, But you should tell that to the guy
- 17:37Speaker 2: in front of me at the story yesterday who was
- 17:40Speaker 2: getting all the things you're not supposed to be eating
- 17:43Speaker 2: right now. Unless he's gonna cook that stuff to the
- 17:45Speaker 2: proper temperature. That dude's in trouble. He was getting a
- 17:49Speaker 2: bunch of fresh strawberries and like two heads of lettuce,
- 17:52Speaker 2: and I was like, oh man, he's got a death wish,
- 17:55Speaker 2: because it's the fresh produce you have to look out for.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Lettuce is one of the main culprits, according to a
- 18:02Speaker 2: story I looked up right before we record. According to
- 18:08Speaker 2: Fox affiliate, let us appears to be the likely source
- 18:11Speaker 2: of the parasitic illness at a second thousands of people
- 18:14Speaker 2: in recent weeks, including hundreds in Ohio. And that's according
- 18:18Speaker 2: to Michigan health officials. The Michigan Department of Health and
- 18:20Speaker 2: Human Service is set on Monday that while investigators have
- 18:23Speaker 2: not ruled out other fruits and vegetables, lettuce or salad
- 18:27Speaker 2: greens appear to be the most likely culprit in the
- 18:30Speaker 2: outbreak of cyclosporiasis. If I'm saying it properly, the explosive
- 18:36Speaker 2: diarrhea Unlike typical food poisoning, symptoms of this often do
- 18:44Speaker 2: not appear for two days to two weeks after eating
- 18:48Speaker 2: the contaminated food or drinking contaminated water. Because it is
- 18:53Speaker 2: a parasitic infection, recovery can also take longer. Health experts
- 18:59Speaker 2: recommend buying whole heads of lettuce instead of pre washed,
- 19:02Speaker 2: bagged lettuce or prepackaged salad kids when possible. They also
- 19:05Speaker 2: advise removing into scarding the outer layer or three leaves,
- 19:10Speaker 2: washing the remaining leaves thoroughly, and cooking produce when appropriate.
- 19:15Speaker 2: And another spot this is from The Guardian where this
- 19:19Speaker 2: might be related to what I just read, saying Michigan
- 19:22Speaker 2: health officials identify potential source of the parasite outbreak and
- 19:27Speaker 2: it's pointing to salad, greens and lettuce as the most likely.
- 19:30Speaker 2: So still nothing exactly official, but that's where they're leaning
- 19:35Speaker 2: at the moment. But basically, fruits, veggeese that are fresh,
- 19:38Speaker 2: don't do it, or just make sure you cook them.
- 19:42Speaker 3: That basically is it.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And i'd say avoid the areas that seem to
- 19:49Speaker 2: be you know, rampant with the explosive diarrheas drain. But
- 19:52Speaker 2: my wife and Aaron not following that one. We're just
- 19:55Speaker 2: just following the damn thing around apparently.
- 19:57Speaker 1: Oh I eat a lot of bag salads, so if
- 20:04Speaker 1: there's a good chance I could get.
- 20:06Speaker 3: It well, Trey.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I mean, if we're being real with one another, and
- 20:12Speaker 2: so far on this episode of the Treehouse show, we
- 20:14Speaker 2: seem to be there and seem to be in that place,
- 20:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna stay in it with you. I mean, you're
- 20:20Speaker 2: only tossing your own salad at this point, so I
- 20:21Speaker 2: think you're okay.
- 20:29Speaker 4: You should be ashamed.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I am, because I've actually got a visual in my head.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I mean, in my head you look as good as
- 20:45Speaker 2: humanly possible. But I mean it's bad.

- 21:56Speaker 2: It is Wednesday, July fifteenth, twenty twenty six.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Let's celebrate today with some birthdays.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Academy Award winning actor Forrest Whittaker is sixty five today.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Forest Whitaker is sixty five.
- 22:16Speaker 3: So many roles.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And the one that he won his Academy Award for
- 22:23Speaker 2: was one of the ones.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I have not seen.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Where he was the star of the Last King of Scotland.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I know nothing about that movie whatsoever. The only thing
- 22:32Speaker 2: I know about it is that Forest Whittaker won an
- 22:34Speaker 2: Oscar for it.
- 22:35Speaker 3: That is it. I've never seen it and I don't
- 22:39Speaker 3: even know what it's about.
- 22:39Speaker 4: She portraying Edie a mean on that one.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Eh, You're gonna have to tell me on that.
- 22:47Speaker 2: He's also known for roles in The Butler and as
- 22:51Speaker 2: Rebels Spy in Rogue one, Saw Gerrera as the Rebel
- 22:58Speaker 2: Spy Saw Guerrera in Rogue one, and a couple of
- 23:01Speaker 2: those other random kind of Star Wars projects where he
- 23:03Speaker 2: played that character. Also one of his first roles. I
- 23:08Speaker 2: don't know if it was his actual first role, but
- 23:10Speaker 2: one of his first roles was quite memorable for those
- 23:13Speaker 2: that are in our age group, and that is as
- 23:17Speaker 2: football player Charles Jefferson in Fast Times at Ridgemont High
- 23:24Speaker 2: where it's one of the great stunts and plots of
- 23:29Speaker 2: high school movie history, where they steal his car and
- 23:35Speaker 2: made it seem like their rivals school stole his car,
- 23:41Speaker 2: so he went unhinged in that football game and destroyed
- 23:45Speaker 2: everyone from the other school.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Fast Times.
- 23:49Speaker 4: I don't remember him in Fast Times.
- 23:52Speaker 2: He's the football player. They stole his car and they
- 23:55Speaker 2: wrecked it and then they were like, oh my god,
- 23:57Speaker 2: what are we gonna do He's gonna kill us, And
- 23:59Speaker 2: then they came up with the idea of let's just
- 24:01Speaker 2: make him think that the other school did it, and
- 24:04Speaker 2: they did, and he believed it, and he just massacred
- 24:07Speaker 2: the other team.
- 24:07Speaker 3: It was great.
- 24:08Speaker 4: I think the first movie I really remember him in
- 24:11Speaker 4: is Good Morning Vietnam.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, that was after that. That was definitely
- 24:16Speaker 2: after Fast Times.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Yeah. Fast Times is nineteen eighty two.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And I think Good Morning Vietnam was probably eighty seven
- 24:23Speaker 1: eighty eight somewhere around there.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so somewhere in that range. Also a
- 24:26Speaker 2: great movie. Other Birthdays Today, she played Helen of Troy.
- 24:32Speaker 2: She was also in Inglorious Bastards and The National Treasure movies.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Former model turned actress Diane Krueger turns fifty. Brian Austin Green,
- 24:45Speaker 2: best known as David Silver on Beverly Hills nine oh
- 24:47Speaker 2: two one zero, is fifty three today.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Now, how he's best known as he nailed Megan Fox.
- 24:56Speaker 3: And good apparently like really good.
- 25:00Speaker 2: I mean that that is, that's that's his greatest accomplishment, right,
- 25:05Speaker 2: there's no doubt. Yes, I mean like you made you
- 25:10Speaker 2: made television shows, and he's probably made a couple of movies, but.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Making it with her is the ultimate right.
- 25:19Speaker 4: I mean, I to me, he was always kind of a.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I mean and I never I never felt like he
- 25:27Speaker 1: was really a main character in nine o two and
- 25:28Speaker 1: oh he was on the periphery.
- 25:30Speaker 4: But he got Megan Fox. I mean, hey, hats off
- 25:34Speaker 4: to you.
- 25:34Speaker 3: You you win respect absolutely.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I mean, look, he was not the star at that
- 25:42Speaker 2: time that Jason Priestley was or.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Luke h.
- 25:54Speaker 2: Oh my god, Luke Uh not lou Diamond Phillips U
- 26:03Speaker 2: Luke uh, Luke Perry Perry, thank you God, world, Luke Perry.
- 26:09Speaker 2: He was not as big of a star as Jason
- 26:11Speaker 2: Priestley or Luke Perry or even I A ZERI yeah,
- 26:14Speaker 2: that's I mean, he was the fourth dude down and
- 26:19Speaker 2: some might even argue fifth he might he might be
- 26:22Speaker 2: beneath the guy from who owned the peach pit.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Uh yeah, because it's not so.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Megan Fox goes in that Angelina Joe Lee class for
- 26:34Speaker 1: me of just hot, but they're like a little crazy,
- 26:38Speaker 1: something a little exotic.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I don't know, but you know, when Brad Pitt got
- 26:44Speaker 4: Angelina Joe.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Lee, that that that's not a shocker.
- 26:50Speaker 2: The only thing shocking about Brad Pitt and Angelina Joe
- 26:53Speaker 2: Lee is that he left Jennifer Aniston to be with
- 26:59Speaker 2: Angelina Joe Lee. Some guys would have been Some guys
- 27:02Speaker 2: are like, dude, what are you doing. Other guys are like, nah,
- 27:04Speaker 2: I get it, Yeah, I totally get that. While keeping
- 27:08Speaker 2: in mind we can't relate to that whatsoever. No, Like,
- 27:12Speaker 2: can you imagine, like go back to the nineties, go
- 27:15Speaker 2: back to the nineties when this happened. Brad Pitt is
- 27:18Speaker 2: with Jennifer Aniston, which for the nineties was one of
- 27:24Speaker 2: the top girls that guys of the nineties lusted after,
- 27:28Speaker 2: right and then like most most normal guys can't comprehend that,
- 27:36Speaker 2: but obviously most guys are not Brad Pitt. And so
- 27:39Speaker 2: he was with her. Then he was like, oh, I'm
- 27:41Speaker 2: doing this movie with Angelina Joe Lee, and I'm kind
- 27:44Speaker 2: of feeling a certain way.
- 27:47Speaker 3: And so then and then he did the unthinkable.
- 27:54Speaker 2: He traded in Jennifer Aniston and somehow to some people
- 27:58Speaker 2: trade it up. O, there's my argue that.
- 28:00Speaker 1: But the shocking thing is how much as kids hate him.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Like bad bad, I mean bad bad, Like they're changing
- 28:12Speaker 2: their name, like like no more pit in their name
- 28:14Speaker 2: type stuff as soon as they all turn eighteen. Yeah,
- 28:17Speaker 2: that's I mean, apparently he was a horrible drunk and
- 28:21Speaker 2: there's some abuse allegations and things.
- 28:23Speaker 3: So I get it, you.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Would I mean, I I I'm at a certain point.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I mean, as a recovering alcoholic, you would hope he's
- 28:32Speaker 1: quit and then you know, tried to make amends.
- 28:34Speaker 4: But it does not seem as though he has uh.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Or or maybe he has, and they are just.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Like yeah, I mean, but it is shocking. It is
- 28:45Speaker 1: shocking that Angelina Joliz seems to be the good parent, right.
- 28:50Speaker 1: That's not something I would have bet on.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Ever, Like, like, this is the woman that you know.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It's like, oh, mom, you're so great. Yeah, I know
- 28:59Speaker 2: you shared vio blah blood with Billy Bob Thornton, but
- 29:01Speaker 2: still you're so much better than dad.
- 29:04Speaker 3: It's a very odd thing. Anyway.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Other birthdays today in addition to those, so happy birthday,
- 29:09Speaker 2: Brian Austin Green, Congratulations guitar legend. Joe Satriani is seventy.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Linda Ronstat Grammy winning legend is eighty. I did not
- 29:23Speaker 2: know this. I want to thank my prep service on
- 29:25Speaker 2: this one. Grammy winning legend whose career spanned rock, country, pop,
- 29:31Speaker 2: and mariachi music. Look, when I worked at kV IL
- 29:36Speaker 2: back in the day, we played a lot of Linda
- 29:38Speaker 2: Ron's stat I do not recall ever playing Linda Ronstadt
- 29:41Speaker 2: mariachi tunes.
- 29:45Speaker 1: No, I mean pop was I forgot They sampled one
- 29:48Speaker 1: of her songs and they became a pop yhead, I believe.
- 29:50Speaker 4: But mariachi, no, that's that's new.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Yep. I'm gonna have to do some shoes hamming later.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Jesse Ventura, you talk about a well lived life.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Jesse Ventura is seventy five. He is a WWE Hall
- 30:07Speaker 2: of Famer. He is an actor. He is the former
- 30:10Speaker 2: governor of Minnesota, and he was a navy freaking seal
- 30:16Speaker 2: and his seventy and an absolute nut job. He is
- 30:19Speaker 2: seventy five years old today and I'm assuming he's still
- 30:23Speaker 2: ain't got time to bleed. Yeah, there are some random
- 30:29Speaker 2: hills I will die on, and one of them is
- 30:33Speaker 2: this Predator. The original Predator is one of the best
- 30:39Speaker 2: pure action films of all time. It's got all testosterone,
- 30:47Speaker 2: very little story, and it's it's a damn near perfect film,
- 30:52Speaker 2: and it's spurned on.
- 30:56Speaker 3: So many more films after it.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But I mean, you're talking about some of the greatest
- 31:00Speaker 2: names and bodies in action movie history.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Arnold Swarzenegger, Jesse Van.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Tura, Who's carrying around in a jungle a freaking gatling
- 31:12Speaker 2: gun that should be on the end of an a
- 31:15Speaker 2: ten thunderbolt and he's just it's his side arm in
- 31:18Speaker 2: the middle of a jungle.
- 31:22Speaker 4: Carl Weathers.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Carl Weathers, Oh god, I always forget the guy's name
- 31:26Speaker 2: who was who played the Native American guy Billy in
- 31:29Speaker 2: that one where he like opens up his chest on
- 31:31Speaker 2: the bridge and is like calling the predator in that
- 31:34Speaker 2: dude as well, I mean some serious, serious star.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Action power in that movie.
- 31:40Speaker 4: You know, you're not wrong.
- 31:43Speaker 2: It was exciting, it was fun, it was scary, it
- 31:46Speaker 2: was gory.
- 31:47Speaker 3: God, that movie's good.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Speaking of eighties, it's full of eighties hip fire action.
- 31:54Speaker 4: Oh it is, it is. It is a quintessential eighties
- 31:59Speaker 4: action I I there are no denying that.
- 32:06Speaker 1: So I saw this list the other day and someone
- 32:11Speaker 1: you know talked about underrated eighties movies, and I want
- 32:15Speaker 1: to say, you have said the same thing. Have you
- 32:18Speaker 1: said that Better Off Dead is also an underrated just
- 32:20Speaker 1: like great eighties movie.
- 32:22Speaker 4: Yes, I think that would be put.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Up on the on the list of for Treehouse Reviews,
- 32:27Speaker 1: because I know I've seen it, I don't remember it.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Better Off Dead, starring John Cusack, is a phenomenal eighties movie.
- 32:35Speaker 2: The worst thing that happened to John Cusack and the
- 32:38Speaker 2: movie Better Off Dead was how good Saying Anything was,
- 32:43Speaker 2: which he also started. There's also another one that's also
- 32:47Speaker 2: near and dear to my heart, that to John Cusack
- 32:49Speaker 2: eighties flick and it just so happens to be if
- 32:53Speaker 2: I remember this correctly, Demi Moore's first movie, One Crazy Summer.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Yep.
- 33:01Speaker 2: But yeah, John Cusack, Better Off Dead. One of my
- 33:03Speaker 2: favorite references from that movie is the newspaper kid trying
- 33:08Speaker 2: to collect his two dollars from John Cusack.
- 33:11Speaker 3: Through the entire.
- 33:12Speaker 2: Film, just out of nowhere, the kid on the bike
- 33:16Speaker 2: is just tormenting him.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I want my two dollars.
- 33:22Speaker 4: The sure thing also was another.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Good John Cusack eighties That one's not ringing a bell.
- 33:30Speaker 2: I have to look that one back up. Yeah, I
- 33:32Speaker 2: mean he had a he had a hell of a
- 33:33Speaker 2: streak in the eighties, but yeah, better even.
- 33:36Speaker 4: In the nineties he was his underrated movies to me
- 33:40Speaker 4: is gross point blank.
- 33:42Speaker 3: It's phenomenal. He is so good in that, and so
- 33:45Speaker 3: is dan Aykroyd.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Oh I love.
- 33:49Speaker 1: One of my favorite things about John Cusack is he
- 33:52Speaker 1: has a very dry delivery on a lot of his
- 33:54Speaker 1: lines and gross point blank. That is the perfect, yeah,
- 33:59Speaker 1: perfect movie for him.
- 34:02Speaker 2: And it's also one of those another one of those
- 34:04Speaker 2: films that he's in with his sister, Joan Cusack. She
- 34:07Speaker 2: plays like his assistant slash secretary secretary kind of a thing,
- 34:15Speaker 2: trying to do this on the fly. There's another one
- 34:19Speaker 2: of my random John Cusack movies that I absolutely love,
- 34:24Speaker 2: and I don't know if you've seen it. Came out
- 34:27Speaker 2: in two thousand. It's called High Fidelity. Oh yeah, I
- 34:33Speaker 2: love High Fidelity.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Great movie, so good.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Also another you want to get into around that same time,
- 34:43Speaker 1: America's Sweethearts was also.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, with Julia Roberts, Catherine Zada Jones. M that
- 34:49Speaker 3: was a great one. So how the hell did we
- 34:52Speaker 3: get off on that?
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh?
- 34:54Speaker 3: Jesse Ventura seventy five?
- 34:56Speaker 2: So we started with Jesse Ventura celebrating his seventy fifth
- 34:59Speaker 2: birthday and we ended up with junk OUs acting better off.
- 35:03Speaker 1: What was the movie where he was an air traffic controller.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I think Billy Bob Thornton.
- 35:09Speaker 3: It was pushing ten, pushing ten. Yeah, how the do
- 35:14Speaker 3: I remember that?
- 35:15Speaker 2: I think I've only seen that movie once, and I
- 35:17Speaker 2: think Angelina Jolie was also in that.
- 35:19Speaker 3: That might have been where she and Billy Bob met. Yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 3: what is wrong with my brain?
- 35:26Speaker 4: That's I don't know.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I mean, we went from Jesse Ventura to John Cusack filmography.
- 35:35Speaker 3: This show's really messed up.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Man, and that's why we do birthdays.
- 35:46Speaker 3: All right.
- 35:46Speaker 2: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by

- 36:22Speaker 2: back inside the Treehouse, Dan and Trey with you. There's
- 36:28Speaker 2: a few things about this story that make me giggle.
- 36:31Speaker 2: One of the first is when I saw the guy's mugshot,
- 36:37Speaker 2: I thought, why does he look familiar? And then I realized,
- 36:42Speaker 2: oh wait. When we first heard about this story, we
- 36:46Speaker 2: reported on it. Now there's somewhat of a conclusion to
- 36:52Speaker 2: this story. A Florida man has been found guilty of
- 36:57Speaker 2: having sex with a vacuum cleaner. We first talked about
- 37:06Speaker 2: this when he was initially arrested, so we now get
- 37:10Speaker 2: to put a bow on this lovely Florida romance. A
- 37:14Speaker 2: Florida man was found guilty a couple of days ago
- 37:17Speaker 2: of having sex with a vacuum cleaner outside of a
- 37:19Speaker 2: home in a gated resort community near Disney World. That
- 37:25Speaker 2: is a phenomenal lead of a news story. Almost every
- 37:29Speaker 2: word of that sentence gets more unexpected as it goes.
- 37:34Speaker 2: A Florida man was found guilty a couple of days
- 37:36Speaker 2: ago of having sex with a vacuum cleaner outside of
- 37:41Speaker 2: a home in a gated resort community near Disney World.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Chef's Kiss Florida.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Everything except the Florida part is unexpected.
- 37:53Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, but they put that right at the
- 37:55Speaker 2: beginning where it should be be like, yeah, yeah, I've done.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Kevin Westerhole fifty one entered a no contest Please, it's like,
- 38:05Speaker 2: I'm not even fighting this. Kevin Westerhold fifty one entered
- 38:09Speaker 2: a no contest pleaded indecent exposure in connection with the
- 38:13Speaker 2: incident earlier this year at the Windsor Hills Resort in
- 38:17Speaker 2: Kissing Me, Florida. Following plea negotiations with prosecutors, he was
- 38:22Speaker 2: sentenced to twelve months of probation and fined two hundred
- 38:27Speaker 2: and seventy one dollars, and he also has to undergo
- 38:30Speaker 2: a psycho sexual evaluation within the next month. He was
- 38:37Speaker 2: originally charged with a felony, but that count was subsequently
- 38:40Speaker 2: reduced in exchange for the plea agreement. His lawyer reported
- 38:46Speaker 2: at his client recently completed inpatient treatment, though that care
- 38:50Speaker 2: was not further described. How many facilities do you need
- 38:55Speaker 2: to call before you find one that may specialized in
- 38:59Speaker 2: set with inanimate objects and Florida, Oh, that's a good point.
- 39:07Speaker 2: That could be like that could be like primal care.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, I.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I mean there's probably in each at least major city,
- 39:17Speaker 1: there's at least one of you know, I screwed weird things.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Florida Man Regional.
- 39:27Speaker 2: A detective provided display by play of the incident.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Are you ready all right? So?
- 39:32Speaker 2: According to police reports, a witness provided investigators with photos
- 39:35Speaker 2: and videos showing him pleasuring himself with a vacuum in
- 39:40Speaker 2: broad daylight. Another witness spotted Westerhold, who was naked from
- 39:45Speaker 2: the waist down, consorting with the appliance outside of a
- 39:49Speaker 2: four bedroom property owned by a female relative. So he's
- 39:53Speaker 2: staying at a relative's place and he's going around screwing things.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Within the property.
- 40:00Speaker 2: A detective provided additional play by play. He continued to
- 40:04Speaker 2: penetrate the handheld section of the vacuum before using it
- 40:10Speaker 2: to suction his testicles for further sexual gratification. The police
- 40:15Speaker 2: officer added that two witnesses advised that the subject was
- 40:20Speaker 2: obviously committing these acts for his sexual pleasure, as he
